On Thursday, June 22nd, I observed a writing class at Sherman High School at the Perrin Field
location. The instructor, Catherine Cunningham, granted me permission to observe her Writing
Class which meets M/W/F from 9:00am 3:00pm during the summer timeframe. Since I currently
not do not have any teaching experience in the classroom yet, this was an opportunity to observe
how an experience teacher of 25 plus years conducted her class.

The population of English learners (ELs) is increasing dramatically and teachers need to learn how
to advocate for these often marginalized students. As Darling Hammond suggests, such courses
give teachers the ability to see beyond one s own perspective and to put oneself into the shoes of
the shoes of the learner (Darling Hammond, 2000).
The English as a Second Language (ESL) program, which the class I observed is a part of,
targeted students who wish to expand their English for communication, study, or pleasure. English
Language Learners (ELL) students include sophomores, junior and senior s high school students

of 11 or 12 students and there are four main focuses in the ELL Courses: listening speaking,

Objective The objective of the experiment was to prepare a yield of tert butylchloride through a
unimolecular (SN1) nucleophilic substitution reaction. Procedure Part A Preparation of tert
Butyl Chloride A test tube was acquired, and 7 mL of concentrated HCl were added to this test
tube through a graduated cylinder, this was done in the fume hood in order to avoid any
noxious fumes from the sample, which were observed when pouring in the concentrated HCl.
After adding the HCl, a glass pipet was used to add 2.5 mL of tert butyl alcohol to the test tube.
It was observed that the alcohol and HCl separated into two layers distinct layers. The solution
was mixed by using the pipet to take the bottom layer and squirt it onto the top, this mixing
process was performed for 15 minutes to allow the solutions to mix well. Afterwards, the lower
aqueous layer of the test tube was removed with the pipet; it was imperative to remove as much
of the lower layer as possible without removing too much from the top layer. The solution was
then washed with water by pouring 2.5 mL of water into the test tube, letting it sit for about a
minute and then removing the aqueous layer again, in order to help the mechanism for this
process. Additionally, about 2.5 mL of sodium bicarbonate 5% were also added to he test tube,
were allowed to sit for about a minute, and then removed once again; this was done in order to

optimization. Using particle swarm optimization algorithm , the fitness function can give us
appropriate seed pixel for required ultrasound imaging .In this paper, a novel method wherein
segmentation will be applied on the filtered image i.e fuzzy filter. Fuzzy filter basically work on
fuzzy rules to detect on different gradient and then filtering the noisy , homogenous and edge
region. The proposed method has been tested on different images, and the experimental results
demonstrate its effectiveness.
