Economics and Changes
Nokia not so Mobile?
Write a brief account of how different elements of the temporal and PEST environments interact to
influence the situation described in the case.
Change is unavoidable in the existence of an organization. Nowadays, most of the organizations in the
business world are facing changing business environment. There is no way to avoid either change or
die. The major forces which make the changes not only desirable but inevitable are technological,
economic, political, social, legal, international and labor market environments. The case in this
assignment is Nokia, the Finnish company, faced problem because of changing customer tastes, new
technology and stronger rivals.
In 1865, Fredrik Idestam established a paper mill on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Changes in political environment not only influence organization directly also interact with changes in
the economic environment.
Economic Factors
For organizations, there are many concerns with triggers for change in the economic environment.
These are not only competitors but also other issues like exchange rates, tax, wage rates, economic
policies and etc. (Cook,2004) Organizations need to look at the level of inflation, employment level
per capita, interest rates and long term prospects for Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita, and so
on. There are two types of forces in the market which can affect the competitive position of an
organization other organizations supplying the same products and, buyers who are not buying the
product.
Socio cultural factors
These are related to people s behaviour, tastes, and lifestyles. Social changes are signs of in terms of
people s aspirations, the needs, and their ways of working. Social changes have taken place according
to the several forces like level of education, urbanization, feeling of autonomy, and international
impact due to new information sources. The social influences on business are many ways from

Review Of The Elder Scrolls
Another Bethesda game and yes, it is great! Okay, I will elaborate my opinion; Bethesda makes lots of
great role playing (RPG) games with open world environments. Although, I never could understand
why Bethesda likes to kick off their amazing voice actors off the face of the Earth. I m pretty sure if
Bethesda was able to cast Mel Blanc and James Earl Jones as voice actors they would probably be
either Gordon Freeman or Link. In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, they kill off Patrick Stewart in
addition to that we get ten minutes of Liam Neeson in Fallout 3. This game has a gripping and
expansive showcase of how much depth and great excitement can be packed into one videogame. It
does justice to the rest of the Fallout franchise, including ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Like Red Dead Redemption, I would recommend the Game of the Year Edition since you get the most
of the game. Along with that similarity, Fallout also has a slow motion mechanic called the Vault Tec
Assisted Targeting or V.A.T.S. system, where you are able to pick what part of the target s body like
head, body, limbs or weapons to shoot off. The gameplay is solid and the story is decent, it is best to
ignore most of the story because of it being a pretty bland story telling, but I would recommend
reading the story and the newspaper through the land to give the game character.
NITPICK CENTER: Straight off the bat of Fallout 3, you are giving the trauma of the game s
opening, in which you are dumped bleary eyed and bloodstained straight out of the womb. Then the
game expects you, a newborn baby, to come up with a gender, name, and future appearance. I
personally find it rude to put that much pressure on a baby. Then the story goes Christopher Nolan by
skipping parts of your life. Afterwards, your father, Liam Neeson, ditches you and leaves the vault you
have been living in your entire life. Being motherless since your mom died giving birth and Liam
Neeson ended up like Picard, you are also fatherless. Then when the protagonist is ready to step out in
the real world, the immersion breaks when the game says, Hey, are you satisfied with your first ten
minutes of the game because if you aren t just step into this DeLorean and travel back to the past? I

Being An Effective Team
Being an Effective Team Everyone has been a part of team at one point in their life. Teams are used all
the time. They can be used during school to work on a project, in athletics, or on a job site. What is
important to keep in mind when using teams, is there various dynamics that can make a team both
succeed or fail. The more complexities that one understands, the more effective they will be at
building a team. While a leader builds a team, they will also be faced with many challenges. It is
important to keep in mind that the challenges that leaders will face are sometimes out of their control.
This paper will instead address a idea that a leader is in complete control of, micromanagement. This
paper will also include proven ways of addressing these complexities and challenges by presenting the
reader with tips from one of college basketball s most successful coaches. Building a team is not a
simple task, but if done with great care and attention to detail, it can be a very rewarding one.
Dealing with Multiple Types of People Quite possibly the most challenging phenomena that a leader
must deal with when creating a team of people is the varying differences within the field of options.
With so many different personalities possible, the team builder has to figure out a way of selecting 4 to
6 people who will compliment each other, while paying close attention to the idea that one personality
could harm the effect of someone with the opposite personality. For

Constructivism Essay
Empiricists and rationalists have proposed opposing theories of the acquisition of knowledge, which
appear unable to coexist. Each theory holds its own strengths but does not demonstrate a strong
argument in itself to the questions, Is knowledge truly possible? and How is true knowledge obtained?
. Immanual Kant successfully merged the two philosophies and provided a convincing argument with
his theory of empirical relativism, or what some may call constructivism. His theory bridges the gap
between rationalism and empiricism and proves that empiricists and rationalists each present a piece
of the full puzzle. In order to truly understand Kant s epistemology, one must first review and
understand both empiricism and rationalism on an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This initiates the principle of induction, which is the assumption that the future will be like the past.
An example of this would be every time smoke is seen, one will inevitably look for the fire that is
causing the smoke. This is because based on previous experiences, it is known to be true that fire
causes smoke. One notable problem with pure empiricism is that it does rely upon reasoning. If the
concept of causality is true, there must be some form of reasoning to be able to relate one action to a
reaction. Hume s principle of induction assumes that one experience will be similar to a previous
experience under similar circumstances. It takes a measure of reasoning to assume that the previous
experience of dropping a glass would result in the same consequence when dropping a vase. To
account for this, Hume believes that reason draws connections between concepts in the mind, but it
cannot form connections between those ideas in the external world (Lawhead, 2010). Hume divided
reasoning into 2 categories: namely, relations of ideas and matters of fact. This dichotomy between
relations of ideas (which are logically necessary, but tell us nothing about the world), and matters of
fact (which tell us about the world, but which are not certain), is often called Hume s fork (Lawhead,
2011, p. 108).
Rationalism
In contrast to empiricism, rationalists claim that knowledge is gained from reasoning. It is through
reason that the

Historical Overview of Montessori Method

Write a chronological overview (time line) of Maria Montessori s life and work. Indicate the life
events you feel were most significant in her development of the Montessori Method of education.
Describe how Montessori developed her approach. Include the factors occurring at that time in the
world that contributed to the method s popular acceptance. Education being a necessary part of our

In addition to the isolation, she found she had another problem. She was repelled by the smell of the
anatomy hall. When this became too complicated she tried smoking herself. Due to all these
challenges, her interests turned to pediatrics and psychiatry. This would be the beginning of her
lifelong work with children [4].
After graduating from the University of Rome in 1896, Montessori continued with her research at the
University s psychiatric clinic, and in 1897 she was accepted as a voluntary assistant there. Maria
opened her own medical clinic to treat children. In 1897, she became an assistant doctor at the
psychiatric clinic of the University of Rome. She began visiting asylums for mentally challenged and
handicapped children. Maria observed that the living conditions for these children were miserable.
The patients were kept like prisoners in dark, bare rooms with nothing to stimulate them. She
observed that it was not the medical problem but rather pedagogical one. It was this time when she
came across the work of two French doctors Edward Seguin and Jean Itard s experiments to educate
defective children. Maria observed these children picking up crumbs off of the floor and playing with
them. She realized that the children were using the crumbs as toys. Maria realized that these children
needed a special school that would meet their needs. While working at the asylum, Maria was

The Pros And Cons Of Online Privacy
Chapter 5 deals with a disturbing topic involving online privacy. The word privacy means the access
the media, companies, or strangers may have about someone. There are countless ways in which
technology compromises privacy. Sometimes people can control private information, but oftentimes
individuals have no control over it. Additionally, data mining has made it possible for companies to
accurately target customers by obtaining personal user data and creating customized advertisements.
With these technological tools, people must express concern and take their privacy more seriously.
First this chapter defines privacy as access others have about other individuals. There are harms when
people have too much information about others, but there are also harms with too much privacy. For
instance, some benefits of privacy are that people are free to express their ideas to others or be
themselves. Some disadvantages of too much privacy are that some people engage in immoral
behavior without getting caught. Like the right to life, liberty, and to own property, my wonder if there
is also a right to privacy. Warren and Brandeis claim that people have a right to be left alone and that
the press oversteps its boundaries. Additionally, Judith Jarvis Thomson strongly believes that privacy
rights are a violation of other rights. Throughout this chapter, most authors agree that privacy is a
prudent right which state that there must be some privacy right since they would benefit an entire

Essay On Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus
Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA, is a form of bacteria that can be found on the
skin, hair, nose and throats of humans and animals (Foodsafety.gov, 2015). This bacteria is a strain of
the wild type Staphylococcus Aureus. According to Merriam Webster s Dictionary, Staphylococcus
comes from the Greek staphylē, meaning bunch of grapes, and the New Latin suffix coccus. Aureus
comes from the Latin root meaning gold, or golden (Merriam Webster, 2015). This can be directly
related to the characteristics of the bacteria because it can be found in grape like clusters. In addition,
it is found to have a golden tint when it is grown on a petri dish. Founded in 1961, this form of
bacteria is resistant to the antibiotics, such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

More specifically, it was the most effective against the wild type bacteria. It had a mean ZOI of 20.8
mm, whereas, in the methicillin resistant bacteria it had a mean of 11.8 mm. In addition, vancomycin
had the smallest standard deviation in each experiment, therefore, the values of each ZOI were not too
far from the mean. Thus, because there was a small amount of variation between each value, the
measurements stayed consistent. In addition, vancomycin was not the only bacteria that was effective
against the bacteria. XR21347 was effective against the methicillin resistant with a mean ZOI of 12.7
mm, and Methicillin was effective against the wild type with a mean ZOI of 23.3 mm. All in all, based
on our results vancomycin was the only antibiotic that had an effect against on both bacteria,
therefore, we consider it to be the most effective. However, one could do further research by observing
the effects of this antibiotic when used in the human body. By doing so one could verify that the
vancomycin antibiotic is the most effective against staphylococcus

Analysis Of The Book A New Baby
On a brisk, fall day on Sunday October 25th, 1998 a new baby was born at 7:34 p.m. at Sioux Valley
Hospital in Sioux Falls. That 20 inch, 7 pound, 9 ounce baby was Nicholas Jack Nagel. There are two
reasons for the name my parents gave me. My father Travis is a big golf fan and his favorite golfer of
all time is Jack Nicklaus; he is considered one of the greatest golfers of all time, with 18 majors, the
most ever by a professional golfer. My mother Marylou, on the other hand, loves Christmas and liked
the name Nicholas due to St. Nicholas. St. Nicholas is the patron saint of children and sailors. The
name Nicholas is a Greek name that means victorious people. Shockingly, it took only a few hours of
labor for my arrival. My mom was as calm as can be and didn t realize that she was going into labor.
While my mom was in labor, the rest of my family watched the Denver Broncos defeat the
Jacksonville Jaguars. My parents joke with me that I ve been a Broncos fan since I was even born,
which is true. All of my grandparents, three aunts, and three family friends were at the hospital to
greet me. After I was delivered at approximately 7:34 p.m. my family passed around some It s a boy
cigars. There were a lot of visitors that brought gifts and outfits. My parents and I got to go home the
night after I was born. Grandma and Grandpa Nagel stayed for two days. My mom and dad were the

Poor Living and Working Conditions as the Reason for Bolsheviks Seizure of Power in 1917
Around eighty percent of Russia s population were peasants who lived in communities. Living and
working conditions for most peasants were dreadful, famine and starvation were common. People
worked for long hours, their wages were low and rent was high. In factory towns people lived in
overcrowded slums and there were very few sanitary facilities. Poor living and working conditions
existed all the way, while other causes of the Bolshevik seizure of power came in later on. Peasants
wanted change, but they were not getting it. The peasants became furious and more issues got worse

In 1911 Stolypin was assassinated and, in the years 1911 1914, protests and strikes began to increase.
Nicholas II took Russia into the First World War. The First World War had created conditions in
Russia that favoured the revolution. The war worsened Russian conditions, food and fuel shortages in
the town led to protests and strikes, the agricultural system crumbled due to lack of workers, the
railway system began to collapse, it was increasingly difficult to get food and fuel supplies to the city.
Bad leadership in the front and lack of equipment and clothing led to mutinies in the army. The war
speeded up the process of change people had soon had enough with the Tsar and of what they thought
was a pointless war. Most people wanted a short victorious war, but there was a shortage of rifles and
other munitions equipment, military leadership was bad. In cities like Petrograd many strikes and
demonstrations took place. By 1917, the army was no longer supporting the Tsar. He now had no
effective means of suppressing the revolt, so this led to the Tsar s abdication. However this is not the
most important cause for the Bolsheviks seizure of power in 1917 because Lenin persuaded people to
join his party and go against the government by using Marxist views.

Field Trip Report
Waihi, Newmont Gold Mine, New Zealand
1. Introduction
Mining is an important activity, as it extracts the source of most objects, tools and items that are used
in many ways in society. There are drawbacks, however, as it brings environmental and social impacts,
like pollution of the waterways, change in the landscape and the concentration of labour force. In
Waihi, the mining plays an important role in sustaining the economy of the city, but it also brings
problems that have to be managed by the Newmont Gold Company. The focus of the field trip is to
locate the potential environmental issues that may be linked to mining by using a natural and physical
resource inventory of the Waikato Region and Bay of Plenty.
2. Resource Inventory
1.1 The Waikato Region
In the Waikato Region, it is possible to see the extensive use of its flat landscape for farming. Most of
the farming activity is composed of livestock, cows being the most abundant animal. There is a small
number of poultry farms. The forestry is mostly restricted to hilly areas, where native vegetation has
been put down. Cropland is abundant. The following table provides an inventory of the key physical
and natural resources of the area.

Hunting For Michigan Morels By Ben Smith
Hunting for Michigan Morels
Ben Smith
ENG 100
Introduction: The state of Michigan is great for hunting edible mushrooms. Some of the common
mushrooms people like to hunt for are the chanterelle, honey or stumpers , and the morel. The morel is
one of the more popular mushrooms that people look forward to hunting. Michigan s atmospheric
conditions make it a great state for these mushrooms to thrive in during the season. Before you go
hunting, it is important to know the etiquette and a little about the particular mushroom you re hunting
so not to make the mistake of accidently picking one that could potentially harm you. Because there
are so many mushrooms that are edible here in Michigan, I choose to focus on one of my favorites the
morel.
Topics:
As mentioned, one of the most common edible mushrooms that people look forward to hunting is the
morel. Not only are they one of the most hunted mushrooms here in Michigan, they are also one of the
most easiest mushrooms to correctly identify. Before we discuss the description of the morel it is
important to know when to go searching for this delicious mushroom. Here in Michigan, the best time
to spot morels is early spring. They can be pretty unpredictable as to where they will pop up and you
may not find them in the same spot the next year. I ve seen them along trails, in fields, along paved
roads or even in a pile of old wood mulch. You will find them alone or in a group with others on the
ground. A

Analysis Of Mirrors By Lucy Grealy
What really determines something to be beautiful. In Lucy Grealy s narrative, Mirrors , she describes
her journey of finding her own idea of beauty. As a child she had cancer in her face so she had surgery
to remove but it caused her face to be deformed. Consequently, she was bullied because of the way
she looked, which caused her self esteem to lower immensely. As a result, she had undergone many
surgeries and even went as far as to travel to another country to try and fix her face. Therefore, as she
gets older she not only alters herself physically but mentally. She finally realizes that how people see
us should not influence how we view ourselves not only physically but mentally as well. So she
decides to never look at a mirror because she feels she does not have to to know what she looks like
anymore. She finally accepted the way she looks and started focussing on her personal well being and
recognizes that s what is actually important. Society has a critical impact on the way we see ourselves
because of the way social media shows us that we should look a certain way, people telling us we
should look a certain way, your negative thoughts about how you look, and how society determines
your value based on looks.
Social media has a big influence on this generation when it comes to body image. Many women, or
models, will post pictures of themselves showing off their body with thousands of likes and many
comments saying body goals or I wish I looked like that. This

Examples Of Evil In Macbeth
The definition of evil is profound immorality, wickedness, and depravity, especially when regarded as
a supernatural force. The readers see these qualities in the main character, Macbeth. This play, written
by William Shakespeare, starts off by portraying Macbeth as a hero who helped to win the battle for
Scotland; this is the first impression of Macbeth. Macbeth is not the only character that readers see
profound immorality in; evil is seen in the people around Macbeth as he makes his journey to the
throne.
First, evil is shown in Macbeth when he expresses that he is willing to do anything to obtain complete
power. After the war is won, Macbeth is told by the witches that he will be promoted to Thane of
Cawdor, and even has the opportunity to be king of Scotland. Macbeth is indeed promoted to Thane of
Cawdor and immediately gets anxious to be king, and right now. Macbeth is willing to kill the current
King Duncan to earn his throne. This evil deed is the first time we see wickedness in Macbeth.
Macbeth says, Stars hide your fires! Let not see my black and deep desires (I. iv. 52 53). Macbeth is
now admitting to his own evil thoughts. Macbeth s killing streak is not over and he will not ... Show

ambition, but without the illness should attend it (I. v. 2 7). Lady Macbeth is now as greedy as her
husband for the power. She is the one who convinces him to kill his first victim. As the show goes on,
her less strength and confidence about their reign seems to hinder. Lady Macbeth ends up committing

The reader follows along with the processes of Clara s mind maybe it was uttered by the girl who

The Pros And Cons Of The Death Penalty In The United States
The death penalty is still in use in the united states. The state with the most executions is Texas with a
total of 545 from 2017 to the year 1976 (Number of Executions, 2017). The death penalty is a very big
debate. There are many reasons why and why people do and don t like the death penalty.
States With Death Penalty
There are currently 31 states with the death penalty. The states are Alabama, Louisiana, Pennsylvania,
Arizona, Mississippi, South Carolina, Arkansas, Missouri, South Dakota, California, Montana,
Tennessee, Colorado, Nebraska, Texas, Florida, Utah, Nevada, Georgia, New hampshire, Virginia,
Idaho, North Carolina, Washington, Indiana, Ohio, Wyoming, Kansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, And
Oregon. All of these states have lethal injection. Three have hangings. Eigth have electrocution. Three
have lethal gas. Two have firing squad. There are eighteen states without the death penalty. The states
are Alaska, Michigan, Vermont, Connecticut, Minnesota, West Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey,
Wisconsin, Hawaii, New Mexico, Illinois, New York, Iowa, North Dakota, Maine, Rhode Island,
Maryland Massachusetts.Maryland was the most recent to abolish the death penalty in the year 2013.
Cons of Death Penalty.
Their a many cons to the death penalty. One is that during lethal injection does not always work and
by that I mean that many things could go wrong. A few things are that they always can t find a vein.
This happens because heroin and drug users, their veins go deep because of the drug abuse. Also not
always the drugs injected work the the inmate could stay awake and see and feel everything. This is
very painful if you didn t know. According to the New Republic a inmate named Angel Diaz was
sentenced to the capital punishment by lethal injection. The execution went completely wrong. The IV
was inserted incorrectly and that cost the vein to burst. Diaz skin started to turn black and parts of his
skin turned pink. Diaz started to ooze a pinkish liquid. Diaz suffered a painful death and that went
against the 8th amendment cruel and unusual punishment. Also in cases there was hate or the want for
revenge so there was bias and inmates were given an unfair trial. Also racism has been a factor

Explaining the Three Stages in The Hero s Journey Essay
During the course of this World Literature class, several stories have been covered that accurately
describe Joseph Campbell s mono myth, or basic pattern found in narratives from every corner of the
world. The Hero s Journey in it s entirety has seventeen stages or steps, but if boiled down can be
described in three; the departure, the initiation, and the return (Monomyth Cycle). Each stage has
several steps, but the cycle describes the hero starting in his initial state, encountering something to
change him, and this his return as a changed person. To further explain this concept, there are a few
stories covered in this class that can be used. Beowulf is an epic poem telling the story of Beowulf, a
legendary Geatish hero who later ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, he removes any sort of advantage man might have over monster as he removes his gear and
weapons, fighting the monster truly mono a mono, hand to hand. So while Beowulf so far h as
followed the mono myth on it s major points (the three described earlier), in the finer details he has
deviated from the set path (Beowulf Study Guide). Beowulf s victory over Grendel should be
considered as crossing of the first threshold . Prior to his victory, Beowulf had only triumphed over
man. This victory over monster provides him with more (personal) glory, and causes a bit of a dip into
the next major step of the Hero s Journey, the initiation. Beowulf is interesting in that he combines
two distinct events into the initiation stage of the hero. The appointment as king is the obvious choice
for pinpointing the exact point of the story in which the hero undergoes the greatest change, but really
it is the entire time from after Grendel s death to when Beowulf actually becomes king. His core
character changes, a maturation from warrior to leader possible only because of his trial and ability to
overcome hardship and challenge. The seeds of a true leader are planted however, and the reader
begins to see the change from his focus on himself and his glory, to that of his people. His focus will
begin to switch to that of others, not just himself. This however will take time to take root and really
change his character. For the time

The Allende Governance A New Governance Essay
After the fall of the Allende governance a new governance was applied which led to rise of free
market economy through the use of different reforms like privatization and deregulation. With low
level of understanding in economics Pinochet hired economists who were tasked with freeing the
economy from the previous destruction caused by socialists. According to De Haan by 1970 Chile
recorded least freedom in its economy (De Haan et al 220). But later the economy started experiencing
major growth from 1980s which increased economic growth from7.2 percent compared to other
countries in South America. While the country economic progress has received international
recognition, their development hasn t been easy as it has faced major critical moments to their
economic success. For example during the 1982 recession the gross domestic product dropped by 14.1
% which resulted to overvaluation of their currency which made the currency more vulnerable to
harsh changes in international economy. This changes led to decrease in capital which decreased
availability of finance meant to finance investments. According to Buchi this led to an increase in
unemployment by 23% and decrease in salaries and wages by over 10% (Buchi 10). Years later Chile
has been able to experience economic growth especially in the 1980s compared with other countries in
South America who underwent similar crises. This success has been achieved through the application
of crisis management process which had affected

The Salmonella Case Study
Step 1: Identify Preliminary Issues
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported the multistate outbreak of human salmonella
linked with live and frozen feeder rodents. Salmonella is a human and animal pathogen that has many
different serotypes, but one of the most common serotypes is Salmonella Typhimurium, which this
specific case focuses on. Salmonella can easily spread to people that are in contact with infected
animals, including reptiles, amphibians, rodents, birds, livestock, as well as dogs and cats (PHAC,
2014). Moreover, animals carry this bacteria even when they are normal and healthy. Nevertheless, pet
foods can be contaminated with the Salmonella bacteria, and can infect the pet as well (PHAC, 2014).
In this case, pets that have consumed the infected rodents, also carry the bacteria which transmits the
pathogen to humans. According to the study, the key causes of this infection are due to the fact that
that rodents sold as food are associated with the pet reptiles and amphibians through direct or indirect
contact (CDC, 2014). This particular outbreak surfaced in 2009 in the United Kingdom and in 2010 ...

The Salmonella pathogen in mice and rats are most likely subclinical which means that clinical signs
include diarrhea, weight loss, hunched posture, ruffled coat, and conjunctivitis. And for rodents that
have been dead which are served as frozen feeder rodents, labrotsists can perform a necropsy and
check their spleens, livers, or intestines to check for the pathogen (Criver, 2009). Also, a specific
seline broth can be used to test for salmonella in the culture (Criver, 2009). Incoming rodents should
always be quarantined to routinely test for salmonella and since treatments for salmonella infected
animals are rare, their environments should be sterilized properly (Criver,

Brady V. Maryland, 373 U.s. 83
Brady v. Maryland, 373 U.S. 83 (1963) This case came about because John Brady was convicted and
sentenced for the crime of murder along with another man, and it was found after the sentencing that
the prosecutor did not turn over a crucial piece of evidence to the defense which included a confession
by the other man. During the appeal process on behalf of Mr. Brady the Court of Appeals held that
suppression of the evidence by the prosecution denied petitioner due process of law and remanded the
case for a retrial of the question of punishment, not the question of guilt. 226 Md. 422, 174 A.2d 167
(U.S. Supreme Court, 2015). By the prosecution withholding this piece of evidence Mr. Brady was
denied his Fourteenth Amendment right of due process. Because of this case The Brady Rule was
formed and that states;
Brady material or evidence the prosecutor is required to disclose under this rule includes any evidence
favorable to the accused evidence that goes towards negating a defendant s guilt, that would reduce a
defendant s potential sentence, or evidence going to the credibility of a witness (Cornell University
Law School, 2015). This case showed prejudice on the behalf of the prosecution because they
withheld material evidence that could have changed the sentencing part of Mr. Brady s trial. Mr. Brady
was not innocent in his crimes but the prosecutor held back and did not disclose ahead of time
information on a confession and due process requirements not only

Embedded Systems Programming Steps
Six Steps to Start Learning Embedded Systems Programming
When it comes to improving your applications, embedded programming is a fantastic tool to use. But
just like with a lot of programming tools, learning it can be tricky especially in knowing how and
where to start. To help you find the whole thing just slightly less daunting, here are some tips for you
to get started.
These are not, of course, the only way to go about learning embedded systems programming.
However, if you are new to the concept, these steps might make it easier to get started and help you
focus on the things that actually matter. Indeed, these six steps are designed to make learning
embedded systems more effective and faster. So, let s look at the steps.
Step #1: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Before that, you do need to sort out your equipment. You will need physical equipment since
embedded systems programming is all about the physical world.
What are the things you need? You will need to purchase at least the following items to get started:
A microcontroller
Soldering iron
Digital multi meter (DMM)
A hardware debugger or JTAG adapter
Logic analyser
Finding these items online won t be difficult or costly. To cut down the price of electronics, you
should check which retailers are available through the OZCodes.com.au website. The vouchers can
help you find all the starting tools without paying yourself sick.
You can find the items as individual components or in some instances, shop for them as a starting kit
for embedded systems programming. The key is to just compare reviews of the different tools and
shop around for prices.
Step #4: Choose the microcontroller
You then need to select the microcontroller you want to use in order to get your embedded systems
running. There are plenty of different options to go with. The one you choose should be something
suited for your skill level and budget. Here are a few ideas to keep in mind when selecting the
microcontroller:
STM discovery kit is a good option for those starting out. They are cheap and accessible in terms of
use.
ARM tend to be the most commonly used option for embedded programming

Economic Inequality In The United States Has Risen And
Economic inequality in the United States has risen and absolute growth has slowed over the past half
century. This growing level of inequality sparks in a wave of support for redistribution. The U.S. s
inability to redistribute to the bottom quartile of the income distribution results a multitude of factors
that explain why people would support or oppose redistribution. An explanation of economic
inequality involves the argument that the wealthy have the needed resources in order to flourish in
achieving political decisions that they favor, through campaign contributions and other forms of
economic influence (Gelman 1213). The proposal for this paper is that there is a factor that is
unaccounted for, in which it is possibly impacting the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Within the U.S., they computed the probability that individuals in different income brackets will reach
levels of income in the future which will make them net losers from redistribution (Alesina, Glaeser,
and Sacerdote 19). They make the claim that the probability of upward mobility is major predictor of
one s support for redistribution.
The second factor explains how social mobility for households is related in what influences the
support for redistribution. The result of this is that families would have to achieve social mobility and
move up higher in the income distribution, rather than the distribution itself moving. In simple terms,
in the future, the growth in income is more likely to derive from income mobility as opposed to
baseline growth. Because of this, the consequence is that the increase in income for individuals would
typically come at the expense of other individuals.
The third factor explains how immigration can affect redistribution. For example, as there is a rise in
inequality, what occurs at the same time is the rise in immigration. This leads to the median voter s
household income deviate drastically from the median household income in the nation. The major
point is that low voter turnout amongst eligible voters is not driving the lack of redistribution in the
United States. Rather, the change has come in the large number of residents in the U.S. who lack
citizenship.

Essay about Ray Charles
Ray Charles
Ray Charles was a revolutionary pianist and a soul singer who helped shape the sound of rhythm and
blues. He brought a soulful sound to everything from country music to pop standards to God Bless
America. His birth name was Ray Charles Robinson, but he shortened it when he entered show
business to avoid confusion with the famous boxer Sugar Ray Robinson. I chose Ray Charles as the
topic for my paper after seeing the movie Ray. After viewing this film I realized that there was a lot of
interesting information about Ray Charles that I had never heard about. Therefore, the focus of my
paper is to learn who Ray Charles really was and to discuss his life and achievements.

During this time he started recording and achieved his first hit song in 1951. The song was titled Baby,
Let Me Hold Your Hand. When Charles first began singing many felt as though his sound and piano
playing resembled those of Nat King Cole and Charles Brown. Ray was quoted saying, When I started
to sing like myself as opposed to imitating Nat Cole, which I had done for a while when I started
singing like Ray Charles, it had this spiritual and churchy, this religious or gospel sound. It had this
holiness and preachy tone to it. It was very controversial. I got a lot of criticism for it. (San Jose
Mercury News, 1994) Charles soon became more innovative when he realized that his first recordings
were only skillful imitations of his heroes. After joining Atlantic Records, Charles s sound became
more and more original and found breaking. He took many tunes from gospel music and put them to
secular lyrics performed in front of a jazz lineup playing R B with exceptionally tight arrangements.
He sometimes even added a country music feel to some of his arrangements for example in his version
of Hank Snow s I m Moving On.
The Middle Years Do it right or don t do it at all. That comes from my mom. If there s something I
want to do, I m one of those people that won t be satisfied until I get it done. If I m trying to sing
something and I can t get it, I m going to keep at it until I get it where I want it.

In examining the article Around the Mall and Beyond , by Michael Kernan, the author seems to make
an argument illustrating the existence of artifacts, practically everywhere. In this article, I concur with
his position that there are likely artifacts and remains wherever one might go. This is because we are
not the first inhabitants of this land, as such, remains of humans, animals, tools etc. could likely be
found in any area if searched for in depth enough. The author makes a specific reference to the
National Historic Preservation Act, which I particularly agree with. The author goes on to use several

Augustine Confessions Analysis
In Confessions by Saint Augustine he comes to the realization that friendships are fundamental to a
human s life because they bring people happiness. As Augustine reflects back on his own life he
questions his friendships and how the role of happiness plays over his lifetime. Another ancient Greek
philosophical term for happiness is Eudaimonia. The most accurate translation of this word is human
flourishing which is imperative to creating a whole person and directly applies to Augustine s life.
Friends give him guidance which Augustine needs because he isolated himself from his community.
Augustine gets a sense of belonging and recognizes the good that can come from being affiliated with
other just individuals. Over the course of his life ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Specifically in adolescence Augustine s relationship with God is non existent and he is not religious
even though his mother Monica pushes for him to be religious. His lack of religious affiliation is
because he is inexperienced and does not have the knowledge to think for himself. His rebellious
attitude and intolerance for religion can be directly linked to whom Augustine associates himself with.
The association of these friends served Augustine s satisfaction for rebellion. Augustine was lead
down a narrow minded and secular view of the world and his friends brought out the worst in him.
When Augustine started hanging out with these friends he knew that they did not share different
morals and beliefs but the more he hung out with them he stopped acknowledging this and accepted
their lesser morals as if they were his own. Augustine enjoyed the company of these friends and
remained close with them. During this time Augustine s friends did not bring him happiness because
peer pressure only ushered misery. This misery lead Augustine to start acknowledging that he was not
satisfied with his life and he began his journey to happiness and salvation. Once Augustine and his
friends stole pears from a neighbor s pear tree. The happiness and satisfaction Augustine felt was not

Advantages Of Anti-Competitive Agreement
CHAPTER IV
ANTI COMPETITIVE AGREEMNENT
People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the
conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices.
While doing business in India, parties are prohibited from executing anti competitive agreements.
Generally, the agreements which cause or are likely to cause appreciable adverse effect on competition
( AAEC ) are anti competitive agreements. However, the Competition Act, 2002 ( Act ) recognizes
intellectual property rights and to facilitate their protection, the Act permits reasonable restrictions
imposed by their owners. Similarly, the Act exempts agreements between exporters as exports do not

The most obvious example would be that of agreements between enterprises dealing in the same
products. However, in general, it is important to define the relevant market(s). To attract the provision
of the law, the products must be substitutes. Being at the same stage of the production chain implies
that the parties to the agreement are both (all) producers, or retailers or wholesaler. As has been
interpreted over the years in the U.S. (and enacted more recently in other countries) a dissention is
drawn in this regard between horizontal and vertical agreements. In certain circumstances it can be
established that firms that are collaborating on some socially valuable activity may need to agree to do
away with competition so to establish the cooperative relationship. In this, the European Community
law goes beyond the objective of maximizing welfare and explicitly allows some Restrictive contracts
if they promote progressiveness and consumers ultimately stand to gain. The Japanese law also allows
for actions in contravention of the law provided they are in the public interest . It would be dangerous
to allow the kind of discretion in interpretation possible under the Japanese law. Any exceptions that
are permissible should be clearly laid down. However, we recommend that Restrictive contract which
are designed to promote use of energy efficient manufacturing processes and production of Eco
friendly products or conservation of natural resources should be explicitly permitted as

FreeFlyer install. The image file locations of Earth textures used in FreeFlyer 2D and 3D models are
stored and set via the User Preferences Editor, located in the Options menu. Then under the Display
section on the left side of the User Preferences Editor, click Mission View and look at the Celestial
Bodies box. Choose Earth from the drop down box showing Sun, and you ll see the file paths of the
various images used for Earth. If you click the Browse button next to the Clouds Image Filename a

can be found in the FreeFlyer help file in the appendix, but the most pertinent requirements are that
the graphics card must support OpenGL 2.1 or higher and there must be at least 512mb of RAM
available on your machine. Software rendering is also used when the graphics card drivers are out of

Frost And Winter By Robert Frost Annotation
The first stanza provides the setting of the poem. The speaker was leaning on a gate and he conveys
his thoughts and feelings. The whole landscape is barren, it is winter again and it is gray. In these two
lines Frost was spectre grey, And Winter s dregs made desolate Frost and Winter are the key
characters. Frost is like a ghost, the first of many things that are dying. This line gives the reader the
image of a haunted landscape. It likens the frost and dusk of the day to the spectre of a ghost and this
gives the poem foreboding aspect as if the frost is evil and malevolent. Winter is like a human
character and it is a metaphor for death that made desolate and isolated. The use of the word dregs

Descriptive Essay About Fashion
There were times when women were restricted to wear certain garments like a skirt that does not go
past the knee, pants, and anything men considered sexy. Through trials and tribulations women have
defied all odds with fashion. When I think of fashion I think of self expression, thanks to the women
before me. One woman who fully inspired my fashion sense, is Betsey Johnson. With her fun, unique,
and colorful fashion lines, she helped me to find my style. She is also a huge inspiration to me, as a
fashion designer. Betsey Johnson is a fashion designer, well known for her eccentric but ladylike
designs; Puffy skirts to make you feel like a beautiful ballerina, embellishments to make you sparkle
and shine when your seen, and eye catching accessories that make you want to buy her garments. Her
childhood interest of dance and costume laid the foundation for her creativity. Betsey attended Pratt
Institute and later graduated from Syracuse University. She did not in fact go to school for fashion
design, but her creative juices pulled her toward fashion. Upon finishing school Betsey landed an
internship with Mademoiselle publication. She won a contest at the magazine, thus triggering her
career; Fulltime fashion designer for Paraphernalia, made known a boutique called Betsey Bunky

amount of mishaps as well. She put out her own collection in 1978, that did exceptional well,

Due to slow sales and less traffic at both Sears and Kmart, the two have decided to merge creating one

competitor with Kmart, Sears Holdings goal is not to compete with Wal Mart directly, but find areas
that have been overlooked by other retailers, and take advantage of the expanded line of products the
new company has to offer. Sears has had higher sales than Kmart, so hundreds of Kmart s will be

Changing some Kmart stores to Sears stores and bringing home appliances to Kmart, would offer
customers shopping for those products with more locations to choose from. As a customer, this merger
brings a wider array of products to more locations, making it easier to get everything you might need
in one place. The merger of these two corporations would create more jobs.
Sears is looking to create more of a presence outside of shopping malls, creating more Sears locations
in single store setups in a similar way to Kmart. Current CEO of Sears Alan J. Lacy, will become the
Vice Chairman of the new company. His strategy of opening more Sears stores outside of the usual
shopping mall would require many of the current Sears locations to be closed. In the long run jobs at
new Sears locations would have to be filled, but the creation of those new jobs would have to be
postponed until the new Sears stores are opened. In the meantime, the news of many Sears closings
would put many workers out of a job.
Currently Kmart has been constantly losing to competitors such as Wal Mart and Target. Target is seen
as a higher class store compared to the other two, and Wal Mart is seen as a good store with good
prices. Kmart has had trouble finding it s own identity. They try to market themselves as being a better
bargain than Wal Mart, but the store is viewed as being cheap from the customer s point of view.

The Honorable Men Summary
Kenneth S. Greenberg attempts to translate the language of the honorable men in the antebellum
South. Although they spoke English, words and gestures held a different meaning to them than what a
common person might think. His goal is to help us understand the interactions of these men so we can
get a glimpse into their world during this time period where slavery transpired, honor meant more than
life itself, and Civil War was on the verge. If you were to observe a conversation between southern
gentlemen, you would think you knew exactly what they were discussing. In reality, they have an
entire different meaning to the common words we use in the English language. Everything they say
and do needs to be taken into context of their situation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When most people think of a gift exchange, they picture neatly wrapped presents on Christmas
morning, however, the gift exchange of southern men was very different than this image. These
encounters seemed like ordinary market exchanges, yet they were much different. A gift was given out
of generosity, meaning the giver expected nothing in return. For example, a man of honor recognizes
that a woman s husband has died and she must support her family alone. Instead of only buying one
cup of coffee from her café a day, he now purchases three so she will gain a greater profit even though
he does not want to drink three cups. Although it may appear as a market exchange because the man is
receiving coffee, it is actually a gift to the widow. Duels and gift exchanges are directly related as
well. Only honorable men were capable of giving gifts just like they were the only people who could
participate in duels. It was considered honorable for men to duel in order to settle disputes. Therefore,
when a man offered to duel another, he was giving him a gift of an opportunity to show his integrity.
Men of honor were capable of giving gifts because they owned things unlike slaves. Slaves could not
give anything because they did not possess anything. It would be insulting for a white man to receive a
gift from a

comedy when dealing with serious political issues throughout the play is a large focal point of the
work and continues to be praised today. Nikolai Gogol was best known for his short stories and was
given the idea for The Government Inspector by Alexander Pushkin. Shortly after its release, Gogol
faced heavy criticism by the government officials that his play lampooned and ... Show more content

The town s local government officials desperately try to mislead Khlestakov while he tries to continue
the charade and attempts to deceive them as well. Khlestakov even takes his deception so far that it
almost seems as though he is starting to believe his own lies. On the table, for instance, is a water
melon that costs seven hundred roubles. The soup comes straight from Paris by steamer in the tureen:
there s nothing in the world to be compared with its flavour! (38). We can also see that not only did
the townspeople attempt to deceive Khlestakov, but also they essentially deceived themselves by the
end of the play. Gogol is able to show how the chaos of the government inspector s visit sent everyone
into frenzy and did not actually accomplish anything. Gogol s primary focus is that the human
condition is imperfect and that we will always try to save our selves when we are in danger as well as

chaos is applied to the 19th century Russian bureaucracy in a way that is not clearly evident at first but

Research Paper On Health Insurance
Can everyone in the United States have a Health insurance? That is the big question. As we know it s
impossible to get treated in the hospital without health insurance because it s very expensive. Let me
talk about my story, when I have arrived to the United States at Arizona, Tempe specifically, I got very
ill because I have Asthma so I couldn t breath properly, so my friend took me to St Luke Hospital in
Tempe, the doctor gave me Oxygen mask only nothing more. Then when I got better it s time to
checkout so they gave me the bill and it was 2500 $, I was choked with the price but I have realized
that my insurance company will take care of it.
In fact, nearly 40 million Americans does not have health insurance, most of them can t afford the
price of the health insurance. This issue is leading to many deaths in the United States due to not
having a health care. So the question is, why poor people can not afford a health insurance? or in other
way, why it s very expensive to have a health insurance? The answer for the first question is very
simple, some people were born poor and they do not have jobs, and if some of them have jobs they
don t offer them a health insurance and their income is very low so they can t buy their own health
care. The answer for the second question is kind of complicated. Health insurances are expensive
because the government does not have censorship ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These poor people may suffer from a minor illness but the can not afford the price to go to the hospital

some previous illness, the insurance company won t cover him because if they did his treatment will
cost them a lot, this issue caused many deaths in the United

Change is unavoidable in the existence of an organization. Nowadays, most of the organizations in the business world are facing changing business environment. • 3. Review Of The Elder Scrolls Another Bethesda game and yes, it is great! Okay, I will elaborate my opinion; Bethesda makes lots of great role playing (RPG) games with open world environments. Although, I never could understand why Bethesda likes to kick off their amazing voice actors off the face of the Earth. I m pretty sure if Bethesda was able to cast Mel Blanc and James Earl Jones as voice actors they would probably be either Gordon Freeman or Link. In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, they kill off Patrick Stewart in addition to that we get ten minutes of Liam Neeson in Fallout 3. This game has a gripping and expansive showcase of how much depth and great excitement can be packed into one videogame. It does justice to the rest of the Fallout franchise, including ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Like Red Dead Redemption, I would recommend the Game of the Year Edition since you get the most of the game. Along with that similarity, Fallout also has a slow motion mechanic called the Vault Tec Assisted Targeting or V.A.T.S. system, where you are able to pick what part of the target s body like head, body, limbs or weapons to shoot off. The gameplay is solid and the story is decent, it is best to ignore most of the story because of it being a pretty bland story telling, but I would recommend reading the story and the newspaper through the land to give the game character. NITPICK CENTER: Straight off the bat of Fallout 3, you are giving the trauma of the game s opening, in which you are dumped bleary eyed and bloodstained straight out of the womb. Then the game expects you, a newborn baby, to come up with a gender, name, and future appearance. I personally find it rude to put that much pressure on a baby. Then the story goes Christopher Nolan by skipping parts of your life. Afterwards, your father, Liam Neeson, ditches you and leaves the vault you have been living in your entire life. Being motherless since your mom died giving birth and Liam Neeson ended up like Picard, you are also fatherless. Then when the protagonist is ready to step out in the real world, the immersion breaks when the game says, Hey, are you satisfied with your first ten minutes of the game because if you aren t just step into this DeLorean and travel back to the past? I just do ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Being An Effective Team Being an Effective Team Everyone has been a part of team at one point in their life. Teams are used all the time. They can be used during school to work on a project, in athletics, or on a job site. What is important to keep in mind when using teams, is there various dynamics that can make a team both succeed or fail. The more complexities that one understands, the more effective they will be at building a team. While a leader builds a team, they will also be faced with many challenges. It is important to keep in mind that the challenges that leaders will face are sometimes out of their control. This paper will instead address a idea that a leader is in complete control of, micromanagement. This paper will also include proven ways of addressing these complexities and challenges by presenting the reader with tips from one of college basketball s most successful coaches. Building a team is not a simple task, but if done with great care and attention to detail, it can be a very rewarding one. Dealing with Multiple Types of People Quite possibly the most challenging phenomena that a leader must deal with when creating a team of people is the varying differences within the field of options. With so many different personalities possible, the team builder has to figure out a way of selecting 4 to 6 people who will compliment each other, while paying close attention to the idea that one personality could harm the effect of someone with the opposite personality. Each theory holds its own strengths but does not demonstrate a strong argument in itself to the questions, Is knowledge truly possible? and How is true knowledge obtained? . Immanual Kant successfully merged the two philosophies and provided a convincing argument with his theory of empirical relativism, or what some may call constructivism. His theory bridges the gap between rationalism and empiricism and proves that empiricists and rationalists each present a piece of the full puzzle. In order to truly understand Kant s epistemology, one must first review and understand both empiricism and rationalism on an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This initiates the principle of induction, which is the assumption that the future will be like the past. An example of this would be every time smoke is seen, one will inevitably look for the fire that is causing the smoke. This is because based on previous experiences, it is known to be true that fire causes smoke. One notable problem with pure empiricism is that it does rely upon reasoning. If the concept of causality is true, there must be some form of reasoning to be able to relate one action to a reaction. Hume s principle of induction assumes that one experience will be similar to a previous experience under similar circumstances. It takes a measure of reasoning to assume that the previous experience of dropping a glass would result in the same consequence when dropping a vase. To account for this, Hume believes that reason draws connections between concepts in the mind, but it cannot form connections between those ideas in the external world (Lawhead, 2010). Hume divided reasoning into 2 categories: namely, relations of ideas and matters of fact. This dichotomy between relations of ideas (which are logically necessary, but tell us nothing about the world), and matters of fact (which tell us about the world, but which are not certain), is often called Hume s fork (Lawhead, 2011, p. 108). After graduating from the University of Rome in 1896, Montessori continued with her research at the University s psychiatric clinic, and in 1897 she was accepted as a voluntary assistant there. Maria opened her own medical clinic to treat children. In 1897, she became an assistant doctor at the psychiatric clinic of the University of Rome. She began visiting asylums for mentally challenged and handicapped children. Maria observed that the living conditions for these children were miserable. The patients were kept like prisoners in dark, bare rooms with nothing to stimulate them. She observed that it was not the medical problem but rather pedagogical one. It was this time when she came across the work of two French doctors Edward Seguin and Jean Itard s experiments to educate defective children. • 9. The Pros And Cons Of Online Privacy Chapter 5 deals with a disturbing topic involving online privacy. The word privacy means the access the media, companies, or strangers may have about someone. There are countless ways in which technology compromises privacy. Sometimes people can control private information, but oftentimes individuals have no control over it. Additionally, data mining has made it possible for companies to accurately target customers by obtaining personal user data and creating customized advertisements. With these technological tools, people must express concern and take their privacy more seriously. First this chapter defines privacy as access others have about other individuals. There are harms when people have too much information about others, but there are also harms with too much privacy. For instance, some benefits of privacy are that people are free to express their ideas to others or be themselves. Some disadvantages of too much privacy are that some people engage in immoral behavior without getting caught. Like the right to life, liberty, and to own property, my wonder if there is also a right to privacy. Warren and Brandeis claim that people have a right to be left alone and that the press oversteps its boundaries. Additionally, Judith Jarvis Thomson strongly believes that privacy rights are a violation of other rights. Throughout this chapter, most authors agree that privacy is a prudent right which state that there must be some privacy right since they would benefit an entire ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to Merriam Webster s Dictionary, Staphylococcus comes from the Greek staphylē, meaning bunch of grapes, and the New Latin suffix coccus. Aureus comes from the Latin root meaning gold, or golden (Merriam Webster, 2015). This can be directly related to the characteristics of the bacteria because it can be found in grape like clusters. Introduction Mining is an important activity, as it extracts the source of most objects, tools and items that are used in many ways in society. There are drawbacks, however, as it brings environmental and social impacts, like pollution of the waterways, change in the landscape and the concentration of labour force. In Waihi, the mining plays an important role in sustaining the economy of the city, but it also brings problems that have to be managed by the Newmont Gold Company. The focus of the field trip is to locate the potential environmental issues that may be linked to mining by using a natural and physical resource inventory of the Waikato Region and Bay of Plenty. 2. Some of the common mushrooms people like to hunt for are the chanterelle, honey or stumpers , and the morel. The morel is one of the more popular mushrooms that people look forward to hunting. Michigan s atmospheric conditions make it a great state for these mushrooms to thrive in during the season. Before you go hunting, it is important to know the etiquette and a little about the particular mushroom you re hunting so not to make the mistake of accidently picking one that could potentially harm you. Because there are so many mushrooms that are edible here in Michigan, I choose to focus on one of my favorites the morel. Topics: As mentioned, one of the most common edible mushrooms that people look forward to hunting is the morel. Not only are they one of the most hunted mushrooms here in Michigan, they are also one of the most easiest mushrooms to correctly identify. Before we discuss the description of the morel it is important to know when to go searching for this delicious mushroom. Here in Michigan, the best time to spot morels is early spring. They can be pretty unpredictable as to where they will pop up and you may not find them in the same spot the next year. I ve seen them along trails, in fields, along paved roads or even in a pile of old wood mulch. You will find them alone or in a group with others on the ground. A ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As a child she had cancer in her face so she had surgery to remove but it caused her face to be deformed. Consequently, she was bullied because of the way she looked, which caused her self esteem to lower immensely. As a result, she had undergone many surgeries and even went as far as to travel to another country to try and fix her face. Therefore, as she gets older she not only alters herself physically but mentally. She finally realizes that how people see us should not influence how we view ourselves not only physically but mentally as well. So she decides to never look at a mirror because she feels she does not have to to know what she looks like anymore. She finally accepted the way she looks and started focussing on her personal well being and recognizes that s what is actually important. Society has a critical impact on the way we see ourselves because of the way social media shows us that we should look a certain way, people telling us we should look a certain way, your negative thoughts about how you look, and how society determines your value based on looks. Social media has a big influence on this generation when it comes to body image. Macbeth is not the only character that readers see profound immorality in; evil is seen in the people around Macbeth as he makes his journey to the throne. First, evil is shown in Macbeth when he expresses that he is willing to do anything to obtain complete power. After the war is won, Macbeth is told by the witches that he will be promoted to Thane of Cawdor, and even has the opportunity to be king of Scotland. Macbeth is indeed promoted to Thane of Cawdor and immediately gets anxious to be king, and right now. Macbeth is willing to kill the current King Duncan to earn his throne. The Hero s Journey in it s entirety has seventeen stages or steps, but if boiled down can be described in three; the departure, the initiation, and the return (Monomyth Cycle). Each stage has several steps, but the cycle describes the hero starting in his initial state, encountering something to change him, and this his return as a changed person. Beowulf s victory over Grendel should be considered as crossing of the first threshold . Prior to his victory, Beowulf had only triumphed over man. The Salmonella Case Study Step 1: Identify Preliminary Issues The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported the multistate outbreak of human salmonella linked with live and frozen feeder rodents. Salmonella is a human and animal pathogen that has many different serotypes, but one of the most common serotypes is Salmonella Typhimurium, which this specific case focuses on. Salmonella can easily spread to people that are in contact with infected animals, including reptiles, amphibians, rodents, birds, livestock, as well as dogs and cats (PHAC, 2014). Moreover, animals carry this bacteria even when they are normal and healthy. Nevertheless, pet foods can be contaminated with the Salmonella bacteria, and can infect the pet as well (PHAC, 2014). In this case, pets that have consumed the infected rodents, also carry the bacteria which transmits the pathogen to humans. According to the study, the key causes of this infection are due to the fact that that rodents sold as food are associated with the pet reptiles and amphibians through direct or indirect contact (CDC, 2014). Because of this case The Brady Rule was formed and that states; Brady material or evidence the prosecutor is required to disclose under this rule includes any evidence favorable to the accused evidence that goes towards negating a defendant s guilt, that would reduce a defendant s potential sentence, or evidence going to the credibility of a witness (Cornell University Law School, 2015). This case showed prejudice on the behalf of the prosecution because they withheld material evidence that could have changed the sentencing part of Mr. Brady s trial. Mr. Brady was not innocent in his crimes but the prosecutor held back and did not disclose ahead of time information on a confession and due process requirements not only ... This growing level of inequality sparks in a wave of support for redistribution. The U.S. s inability to redistribute to the bottom quartile of the income distribution results a multitude of factors that explain why people would support or oppose redistribution. An explanation of economic inequality involves the argument that the wealthy have the needed resources in order to flourish in achieving political decisions that they favor, through campaign contributions and other forms of economic influence (Gelman 1213). The proposal for this paper is that there is a factor that is unaccounted for, in which it is possibly impacting the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Within the U.S., they computed the probability that individuals in different income brackets will reach levels of income in the future which will make them net losers from redistribution (Alesina, Glaeser, and Sacerdote 19). They make the claim that the probability of upward mobility is major predictor of one s support for redistribution. The second factor explains how social mobility for households is related in what influences the support for redistribution. The result of this is that families would have to achieve social mobility and move up higher in the income distribution, rather than the distribution itself moving. In simple terms, in the future, the growth in income is more likely to derive from income mobility as opposed to baseline growth. Because of this, the consequence is that the increase in income for individuals would typically come at the expense of other individuals. The third factor explains how immigration can affect redistribution. For example, as there is a rise in inequality, what occurs at the same time is the rise in immigration. This leads to the median voter s household income deviate drastically from the median household income in the nation. The major point is that low voter turnout amongst eligible voters is not driving the lack of redistribution in the United States. Rather, the change has come in the large number of residents in the U.S. who lack citizenship. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Ray was quoted saying, When I started to sing like myself as opposed to imitating Nat Cole, which I had done for a while when I started singing like Ray Charles, it had this spiritual and churchy, this religious or gospel sound. It had this holiness and preachy tone to it. It was very controversial. I got a lot of criticism for it. (San Jose Mercury News, 1994) Charles soon became more innovative when he realized that his first recordings were only skillful imitations of his heroes. After joining Atlantic Records, Charles s sound became more and more original and found breaking. He took many tunes from gospel music and put them to secular lyrics performed in front of a jazz lineup playing R B with exceptionally tight arrangements. The most accurate translation of this word is human flourishing which is imperative to creating a whole person and directly applies to Augustine s life. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When most people think of a gift exchange, they picture neatly wrapped presents on Christmas morning, however, the gift exchange of southern men was very different than this image. These encounters seemed like ordinary market exchanges, yet they were much different. A gift was given out of generosity, meaning the giver expected nothing in return. For example, a man of honor recognizes that a woman s husband has died and she must support her family alone. Instead of only buying one cup of coffee from her café a day, he now purchases three so she will gain a greater profit even though he does not want to drink three cups. Although it may appear as a market exchange because the man is receiving coffee, it is actually a gift to the widow. Duels and gift exchanges are directly related as well. Only honorable men were capable of giving gifts just like they were the only people who could participate in duels. It was considered honorable for men to duel in order to settle disputes. Therefore, when a man offered to duel another, he was giving him a gift of an opportunity to show his integrity. Men of honor were capable of giving gifts because they owned things unlike slaves. Slaves could not give anything because they did not possess anything. It would be insulting for a white man to receive a gift from a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
