Mitochondria are organelles found in most eukaryotic cells that provide energy for cellular processes. They convert glucose into ATP through a process that takes place on the inner mitochondrial membrane and its cristae which increase surface area for reactions. Mitochondria contain their own DNA and protein-producing machinery within the inner membrane and matrix. They rely on chloroplasts as an ally to provide the glucose needed to create energy, and have a double membrane structure with an outer membrane that acts as a filter and inner membrane where energy production occurs.

6. We vote to cut… Difficult decision because all organelles in a Eukaryotic cell is needed We vote to cut the Vacuole Who needs to store energy when we can use it all? Why isolate harmful material when we have the Golgi Apparatus and Lysosome?
