The operations carried out to Light up the Boiler, from Air Cycle Establishment, Oil Handling Plant, Scanner air fans and Igniter Air Fans, Boiler Purging.
The MIata required a larger diameter pulley in order to reduce the speed of the alternator relative to the crankshaft. With the engine operating at higher rpms for most of the on track time, we did not want to over charge the electrical system.
Video analysis showed that the inside tire was lifting during hard cornering. Symptoms were mid corner and exit understeer.
This led to research to determine the roll rate of the rear suspension through vehicle dynamics and spring rate calculations. Then, commercially available rear anti roll bars (ARB) were assessed and their spring rates calculated and compared to custom original designs.
In the end, due to lack of manufacturing ability and time, the commercially available rear ARB was purchased and installed.
Results: mid corner understeer corrected, exit understeer improved, vehicle cannot lift inside front tire.

Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. 1. Starting Sequence for Oil Pressure Diagnostic
Summer 2014
(Note: (For shutoff procedure.) Make sure Accusump is closed and that kill switches are left on
until radiator fan shuts down. It should take just a few minutes.)
(Note: If Accusump was left on, make sure it’s closed before starting.)
(Note: If driver’s side master switch is left on, the 3 to 5 Amp current draw will quickly drain the
battery. Passenger side will not, if left on.)
Procedure:
1. Turn on both master switches.
2. Make sure Accusump is closed.
3. Flip on ignition switch.
4. Flip on fuel switch.
5. Start engine.
6. Check to see if oil pressure is >50psi.
7. Make sure voltage is >12V.
(Note: Keep RPM’s below 1500 until water temperature reaches 165F)
8. Once oil pressure is at an appropriate level, Accusump can be opened.
(Note: It’s recommended that it’s kept closed until on track.)
(Note: Accusump was opened during this diagnostic test.)
9. Turn engine off after noting that the appropriate oil levels are attained.
10. Restart engine using same procedure.
11. Check timing at 2000RPM.
12. Check for oil leaks at the bottom of the engine and the sides of the block while keeping
engine at 2000RPM for 20minutes.
(Note: To hold engine at desired RPM, set the idle to 2000RPM.)
(Note: In preparation for starting and prior to engine firing, Accusump was opened to pressurize
the oil and push it throughout the engine.)
Post Diagnostic Observations:
Oil leak – front of engine (possibly oil pan)
Oil leak (possibly rear main)
Oil leak (pressure relief valve)
Water temp = 210F - with shop fan blowing (3/4” restrictor in the thermostat)
Oil temp = 150 +/- 15
2. Carb Needle at #1
Carb piston springs are blue 1oz.
(Note: Oil filter # is Napa Gold 1391 ONLY. Other filters will cause oil pressure problems.)
After Shutdown:
(Note: 15degrees advanced timing changed to 30degrees.)
(Note: Set hot valve lash to 0.0018)
