A feasibility study was conducted to prepare a 1968 MGB GT for national SCCA competition in H-Production, F-Production, or E-Production classes. H-Production was deemed feasible with $20.5k of modifications including weight reduction, engine upgrades, aerodynamic changes, and suspension upgrades. F-Production was less feasible and would require $36k of modifications including more extensive weight reduction, engine, gearbox, brakes and suspension upgrades. E-Production was not feasible as the car could not reach the minimum class weight even after all possible weight reduction measures.
