The Negative Effects Of The Indian Removal
Indian Removal
Looking throughout the overwhelming events the American Revolution had on everyone involved,
allows us to examine how the governments policies toward the Indians changed over time. It shows
how the policy changes effected the Indians as well as the Americans , their attitudes toward each
other as the American s pushed westward and the Indians resisted. Then the actions on both sides
which lead up to the final removal of all Indians to west of the Mississippi in 1830 s.
The government as well as the Americans attitude toward the Indians at the beginning of the
Revolution was pretty much the same as Thomas Jefferson s, which was that giving time the Indians

When the government enacted the ordinances of 1784 1787, sets the terms of white settlements in the
west. This caused several of the tribes to resist the action of taking more of their land and this went on
for more than ten years. The Revolution brought to light many questions one of which was what status
to give the Indians. The Constitution left out any reference to the status of the Native American tribes,
the only resemblance of a legal status with the government was treaties made with the tribes to protect
their lands. It did give Congress power to regulate Commerce with the Indian tribes, as well it forced
the new government to honor all treaties made by the Confederation with the Indians. The new
government even agreed with the tribes that they should have some type of sovereignty over their own
lands, however the Constitution and the common law did not lay out any guidelines of a so called
nation within a nation . A step toward this direction came in 1794 when the United States General
Anthony Wayne defeated the Miami Indians in the battle of Fallen Timbers. Therefore lead to the new
Federal Governments first treaty in 1795, Treaty of Greenville , that recognized the sovereignty of
Indian nations. With the nation growing so fast and Jefferson facing constant issues between white
settlers and Indians, he had to make tough decisions in Indian policy, for the nation as a whole.

The Carving Of Cain And Abel
A carving in ivory depicted the story of Cain and Abel. The carving was split up into three parts on the
piece of ivory. In the first part it shows Cain and Abel giving an offering to God. Since Cain was a
farmer he offered up some of his wheat crop to God but it wasn t the best of his crops, it was the lesser
of his crops. Abel offered his best lamb since he was a herder. In the carving you can see the hand of
God over Abel s offering because he choose Abel s offering, and took favor of Abel. In the second part
we see Cain killing Abel because he was jealous and angry that God favored Abel. Finally, in the third
part we see God punishing Cain for killing Abel. This carving reminds me of my brother and me when
we were younger. As young children

3 What is your overall impression of this image?
The facial expression of Sam Houston depicts a man who does not seem to need the approval of
others, and the fact that he does not appear to be looking at the camera indicates that he feels superior
to others.
4 What is this image attempting to convey to the viewer?
They say a picture is worth 1,000 words although it may be simple in purpose, this picture of Sam
Houston portrays far more than just a black and white gentleman with a checkered vest. It shows the
face of a hard drinking frontiersman born in Virginia, who served under General Andrew Jackson in
the war of 1812, and a war hero who was responsible for the fate of the Texas Revolution.
5 What does this image tell you about this period in American History?
This image tells of the history of Texas. It tells of the hard fought battles which lead to the rise of The
Lone Star Republic in 1836, which was finally recognized by President Jackson in his last day in
office in early 1837. A republic of only 40,000 people, which was thought by many to not hold its
independence for very long.

Ender’s Game, by Orson Scott Card Essay
Ender s Game, by Orson Scott Card, is an exceptional novel created by an extremely smart, intuitive,
and talented individual. This novel deals with several of societies issues and is almost satire,
comparable to Mark Twain s Huckleberry Finn. Some topics that are prominent in Ender s Game are
compassion, humanity, and the relationship between adults and children. These three elements define
the main character, Ender, and influence the way he makes decisions and eventually changes the
world. The setting of this particular novel is in several places (including Greensboro, N.C., Battle
School, and Command School (on Eros, one of Saturn s Moons)), but takes place somewhere in the
future. From context clues, it may take place in as soon as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Due to Mazer Rackham s genius, the Formic Fleet was defeated. In preparation for the Formic s third
invasion, the International Fleet constructed Battle School and Command school to train the smartest
children in the world with the best tactical minds with rigorous training. Due to the urgency that was
taken to defeat the Formics, once and for all, the International Fleet, a new governing body that was
like United Nations on steroids, orders that children would be raised to be the smartest the world had
ever seen. Ender was one of those children. He was chosen at the age of 6 to go to Battle School, an
orbiting school that taught the children how to be good military tacticians in the heat of battle. This
was accomplished in the battle room, a large cube room with no gravity. Cadets are given a gun that,
when shot at another cadet wearing a flash suit, causes the particular body part that was shot to freeze
and become immobile. If a cadet was hit in the stomach, their entire body would become immobile.
When Ender first arrived to Battle School, he was in a group known as the launchies, because they had
just arrived to the school. After about a year, these launchies progressed into an Army, or a group of 40
soldiers aged anywhere from 8 12. Because Ender was so smart, he was progressed into an army after
only 2 months in the launch group, unheard of in the history of the school. The commander of

The Effects Of Sleep On The Sleep Cycle
I. Introduction A. What is one thing that everyone in this room/ (on earth) have in common? B.
Everyone has at least one thing in common and that is that we all need to sleep. C. I am going to
present the different theories on why we sleep, the sleep cycle, a few of the different sleeping
disorders, and how to sleep better. Transition: We know that everyone needs sleep but why is it
actually important? II. Why is sleeping important? A. There actually isn t any known facts on why we
actually need sleep, but there is many theories. 1. According to the National Sleep Foundation (NSF),
the research that has been done states that sleep is required for normal function. 2. The average person
sleeps around 7 8 hours a night, although, 100 years ago people slept 11 12 hours a night because
there wasn t as much to do in a day. B. Evolutionary theory also called inactivity theory, one of the
earliest theory of sleep. a. This theory states that we sleep to protect ourselves at night. If we are still
and quiet predators will not notice us while were sleeping. i. If you re up at night trying to hunt for
food, you ll more likely to be attacked by a predator because it s too dark out to see anything, or
something coming after you, which leaves you vulnerable to be attacked. C. Energy Conservation
During the night it is too dark to actually see anything and find prey so it s believed we sleep to
conserve energy for the morning when it s sunny and we can catch prey easier. a. Research

Speech About Birthdays
Do you ever think to yourself that some of you birthdays are more valuable than others? Personally, I
happen to thinks some of my birthdays aren t as fun as when I was six years old. Currently I am
eighteen years old and as the years have gone I ve realized how different things have been. I must say
I don t remember all of my birthdays from when I was a kid, although I do remember a few of them.
When I was five I had a birthday party and my mom hired a clown. I guess the lady was very friendly
she handed out prizes and played with the children. It was like having a sister for the first time.
Although I have to say I m not a big fan of clowns, this woman made my fifth birthday party an
outstanding time! Her name was Betty, and clown Betty had paint with her, so she painted all the
children s faces. I believe she had painted a pink butterfly on my face and my father had painted his
face as Spider Man. I also recall playing many games, it just happened to be musical chairs that I won
on. For my prize I had to pick out of a huge surprise box, I was very happy with my prize I had won
myself a Snow White game for my Gameboy. Some of the girls got a bit jealous and would say that
the clown would only let me win because it was my birthday. In my opinion I think they were just
upset that I had won and they didn t. I also remember turning six, my mom and dad had taken me to
Disney for the very first time. I was extremely excited to meet Cinderella and all the other characters

Cholesterol Essay
Cholesterol is an essential molecule for animal life. It is an integral component of the plasma
membrane of animal cells, it is a precursor of steroid hormones and bile acids, and it plays a crucial
role in the formation of the myelin sheath that surrounds axons. Cholesterol and other insoluble lipids
are transported through the bloodstream in lipoprotein particles. Lipoproteins are a family of globular
particles comprised of a core of neutral lipids surrounded by cholesterol, phospholipids, and
apoproteins. Low density lipoprotein (LDL) and high density lipoprotein (HDL) are the two primary
carriers of cholesterol in the blood. The primary function of LDL is to deliver cholesterol to cells
throughout the body, where it is removed from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From an early age, these individuals are at high risk for atherosclerosis and heart disease.
Heterozygous FH individuals are also at risk for these diseases, albeit to a much lesser degree.
Because the FH mutation also caused the disease in heterozygous individuals, Goldstein and Brown
began with the assumption that FH was the result of a defect in regulation of cholesterol synthesis.
Discovery of the LDL Receptor
Goldstein and Brown began their work by measuring the activity of 3 hydroxy 3 methylglutaryl
coenzyme A reductase (HMG CoA reductase), which catalyzes the rate limiting step in cholesterol
production. Goldstein and Brown found that when normal fibroblasts were grown in serum, HMG
CoA reductase activity was low. Additionally, they found that when cholesterol carrying lipoproteins
was removed from the culture medium, HMG CoA reductase activity increased by a large margin.
Furthermore, they observed that HMG CoA reductase activity was suppressed when LDL was
reintroduced to the medium. This inhibition of HMG CoA reductase by LDL, and the fact that low
concentrations of LDL suppressed HMG CoA reductase activity, led Goldstein and Brown to believe
that a receptor with high affinity for LDL was involved in the inhibition of cholesterol synthesis.
When Goldstein and Brown measured HMG CoA reductase activity in FH homozygous fibroblasts
grown in normal serum, they came to the conclusion that HMG CoA reductase activity was not
affected by the presence of LDL in

Neglect And Lesion Analysis
In the hypothetical situation, the patient described was suffering from hemispatial neglect, a
neurological condition that results from hemispheric damage. Patients suffering from this condition
fail to acknowledge a stimuli situated contralaterally to their hemispheric lesion (Verdon, Schwartz, S,
Lovblad, Hauert, Vuilleumier, 2001). Lesions on both the left and right hemisphere can cause neglect,
however, only the right hemisphere lesions cause lasting deficits (Stone, Halligan, Greenwood, 1993),
which is the reason for the opinion that the right hemisphere is dominant for attention. Although
neglect has been associated with impairment to the right inferior parietal lobe (Vallar, 2001). neglect,

Fight Terrorism without Infringing Human Rights Essay
The fight against terrorism has always raised concerns that the methods used by States may infringe
human rights. As one leading academic, Professor Martin Scheinin,[1] has said Governments have
often felt tempted to depart from ... the fundamental rights of the individual when confronted with acts
of terrorism.... [2]
Many leading world figures have stated that the fight against terrorism can be conducted without
infringing human rights. For example, Ban Ki Moon, the Secretary General of the United Nations, has
expressed the UN s commitment to a comprehensive approach to terrorism grounded in respect for
human rights and the rule of law. [3]
A recent Council of Europe publication makes it clear that there are no circumstances in which ...

It is also important to note that the assumption is that it is possible to fight terrorism without infringing
human rights, not that States actually do so in practice.
There is a lack of empirical data, i.e. research showing the prevalence of terrorism in countries with
strong human rights records as opposed to countries with poor human rights records.
There is significant judicial support for the assumption that you can fight terrorism without infringing
human rights. The European Court of Human Rights, a judicial organ which has produced the most
cogent body of international human rights law in existence, has on many occasions found that robust
actions by Governments in the fight against terrorism are perfectly lawful in human rights terms. In its
judgment in a case against Turkey where a member of a terrorist organization was shot and killed by
anti terrorist police after he shot at them, the Court held that there was no violation of the right to life.
[6] A similar finding was reached in a case where a police operation resulted in the deaths of three
terrorists in their apartment[7].
Sir Hugh Orde, who led the Police Service of Northern Ireland for seven years, accordingly has many
years of experience fighting terrorism in that jurisdiction. He has repeatedly stated his belief that
human rights compliance is not and never has been an impediment to good policing; indeed I see it as
essential to support good policing. [8]

The greatest sports game created
Thirty seconds left in the La Liga cup finals. Real Madrid is playing the Notorious FC Barcelona.
Everything is on the line. Cristiano Ronaldo has the ball on his foot. He cuts left passing a right
midfielder. Ronaldo advances forward towards the opponent s goal. Again, he dashes toward the next
man, double step over, rake, Cruyff turn, scissor, and another cut to his left to be the center defensive
midfielder. With every second gone the pressure rises. Ronaldo has two more defenders to beat before
he has a chance to shoot the ball. Instead, he does the unthinkable, from 34 yards out he strikes a
driven ball with the outside of his right foot putting it perfectly in the upper left hand corner of the
goal to win the game. I know what you re thinking there is no way that is true and you may be partly

was the upper class instead of the upper middle which he classified himself into.

Speer s decision on joining the Nazi party had an improvement of impact to his work as an architect.
Even though that didn t give him many opportunities to create buildings it still gave home work in the
field that he loved doing. Having been given the chance to redecorate headquarters, Speer still had
shown that he was a willing and capable person to achieving anything and by doing so it had created
more jobs and had pushed him closer and closer into becoming a well know architect. Having seen the
plans for the Nuremburg rallies Speer, being a person to welcome on challenges had stated that he
could do better with the designs for the rally. Speer had wanted to create a setting designed to impress
the audience that would make them walk into the stadium at night that then they were confronted with

Benefits Of Free Babysitting On My Home For Parent ( S )
Introduction I decided that I would like to offer free babysitting in my home for parent(s) that needs a
few hours for a job interview, doctor s appointment or have an emergency. I have been searching
around for an organization to go through, but none exist where I live. There were some you have to go
to their place of work, which I understand but I have no transportation to go that far. So I decided to
do this alone. I started on this assignment on week two of July. I started volunteering to babysit
children from age 5 to 8 years old. I started the portion of my painting assignment this week. One
week is to babysit five kids. They looked like controlled little angels. I started small in this volunteer
assignment. I volunteer to babysit a couple of kids for free. Some couples don t have money for
babysitters or extended family nearby. Some school systems are so attuned to their supervisory, child
care function that they offer after school play groups at a normal fee to take care of children until a
parent gets off work and can take the child home (pg. 435). What was observed during this
experience? I observed a lot from this experience. When I was babysitting the children, they always
wanted to be around me always following me. And one of the five kids drew me three sun s on loose
leaf paper. I was observed while babysitting when the children and I were making cupcakes. Having

Great Expectations Quote Analysis
In the first part of the novel Great Expectations, Charles Dickens retold the story of a young boy who
is an orphan and got adopted by the Black Smith s family. The young boy s name is Pip and it is seen
how he transforms from a young boy to a gentleman as he wants to become someone better or enter a
higher social class. Some advantages that could define what great expectations might mean to Pip is
being well educated and entering a higher social class.
Essentially, one of the first things that defines Pip s great expectations is being a well educated
individual. In this quote stated by Dickens, it is discussed that the more educated you are, the more

City of Rockville Budget Paper
Organizations bear economic, legal, and ethical obligations to provide useful information about the
risks and benefits of their products, policies, and services. Failure to fulfill those obligations can be
costly. Financial analyst estimate that 70% of a typical private firm s assets are intangibles, like
goodwill, that can be lost when communication fail. Public institutions reputations often depend on
their ability to communicate (Fischhoff).
It is important to know that organizations are vital with providing guidance and advice for an
arrangement of objectives and methodologies of serviceable divisions. Moreover, these procedures

Government responsiveness identifies with capability to react to evolving requests. Differentiation can
identify with items or administration characteristics, quality, notoriety, or client administration. A few
associations concentrate on a solitary methodology while others utilize a mix of methodologies.
Systems give center to choice making. As a rule, public sectors have general techniques called

utilitarian procedures, which identify with each of the practical territories of the agency.

the Modern World (UMW) Title of assignment: What is nationalism, and can it survive in a
globalizing world? Lecturer s name: Kevin Manton Word Count: 1502 words Nationalism is a very
broad concept that only emerged in the beginning of the nineteenth century. Before the idea of
nationalism, people were loyal to their own religious spheres. There is therefore a general consensus
that nationalism is a modern invention. (Kidd 1999) In Europe, people were attached to their religion,
mainly Christianity. The concept of a national identity was inexistent. However, ever since the
nineteenth century, people have started to see themselves as nationals of a particular nation. (Kedourie
1960) The shared characteristics of people within countries have created the concept of nationalism,
where people feel bonded within their own nation. The main notion of nationalism stems from the fact
that people share something in common and thus they have a national identity. (Spencer, Wollman
2002) This common bond can come in many forms political, cultural and territorial. Given the ever
changing nature of social relations, powers and political systems around the world due to
globalization, the idea of a nation and people s national identity may be threatened. It can be

It s Time to Abolish The Penny! Essay
Between 2001 and 2006, there has been an increase of .6 cents for the reproduction of the penny. This
increase displays economic problems that may lead to fatal ones. The penny is composed of 2%
copper and 98% zinc. These elements are exponentially in demand causing the price of these materials
to skyrocket. Many Americans think the penny is putting our country in jeopardy with financial losses.
This meaningless coin is losing money for the mint, and should be abolished. The penny costs 1.4

This averages to about 1210 pennies per person in the United States. These numbers are just simply
preposterous. A majority of these Lincolns have probably been trashed, thrown on the ground or
located in unknown areas of homes and apartments. The penny is practically worthless to many people
in our country. In a Gallup Poll of 1,002 adults conducted from June 11 of this year displayed
shocking results. Nearly 75% of those adults would stop and pick a penny that is present on the
ground. About 40% of men and 35% of women would walk passed a penny that is on any type of
surface. This poll also found that 58 percent of Americans stash their pennies in piggy banks, jars and
drawers. Some Americans redeem their cents at banks or coin counting machines, but 2 percent
admitted they toss them into the trash. They consider the penny a nuisance to many fellow Americans.
This sentiment has been growing through recent years. The penny is basically obsolete and should be
removed from American currency. Many penny supporters think there is not an inflation with the
economy. The cent doesn t buy anything in today s market. It is merely a token used to make odd
change during cash purchases. The customer may have to use the, Leave a penny, take a penny bowl

The Challenge Of Facts By Samuel Graham Sumner
Samuel Graham Sumner wrote The Challenge of facts, and Walter Rauschenbusch wrote
Christianizing the Social Order in the early twentieth century that interconnect on themes present in
human society. Vice and virtue are commonly referred to as one relationship, while capitalism is
frequently referred to as a separate relationship, and they are constantly compared. Sumner starts his
essay out by explaining how socialism has been around forever. It can be visibly seen throughout
cultures, and societies throughout history from different time periods and different regions. Socialism
s roots essentially come from when man kind can portray harsh facts about human society. Sumner s
first example are homeless people. Obviously, the fact ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He views this as a challenge because nature can give man the necessities, but each man is burdened
with the fact that he needs to succeed. Man can only succeed in life if one relies on nature and man.
Monogamous marriage and and dedicated family allows a man to become respectable in society and
tend more than any other forces to hold the individual up to the virtues which make the sound man
(Sumner, 19). The relationship between vice and virtue is explained thoroughly. A human s race
cannot be changed throughout life, which is essentially a vice for some but a virtue for others. For
some it is a penalty and for others it is a reward. That is just the way life works, and these are harsh
facts that humans have to accept everyday and in every relationship. Preference, superiority, selection
and devotion keep monogamous marriage a social institution. Clearly, marriage degenerates when
these characteristic traits are not present. In order to have a true monogamous marriage, a man would
have to mark the woman he married as superior. However, this cannot be implicitly true. It is evident
that some people should not be parents, and should not raise children so there are clearly some flaws
in this relationship among society in these social institutions. In the relationship between children and
parents, there are vices but also virtues. Children have to deal with the consequences of their parents
wrongdoings in society; however, they are also

Mark Clayton s A Whole Lot Of Cheating
Cheating for many is simply a way of life. For others it is a sin in which they would never think to
commit. For students in todays world they are stuck in the middle. Many students see cheating as the
only way of passing a class. Where other students see as it as a last resort. No matter what side
students are on, cheating is wrong, but even though it is wrong and extremely risky millions of
students around the nation do it on a daily basis just to get by. Cheating is exactly what Mark Clayton
talks about in the article tittle, A Whole Lot of Cheatin Going On. The word that is most often
associated with cheating is plagiarism. A word that makes students like myself cringe at the thought.
The reason being if caught in this act of despair it can simply ruin your life, your academic life that is.
Throughout the article Mark Clayton makes many good points about cheating, but because of his lack
of opinions it takes a little more reading between the lines to find out his position on the touchy
subject. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Clayton says Whether copying another students homework, cheating on a test, or plagiarizing an
essay, cheating is limited only by imagination and technology. With this remark I have disagree
mainly due to the fact that indeed technology and a students imagination are both prime suspects when
talking about cheating, but what also needs to be taken into accounts is simply the students mindset
and their motivation. Lets face it in todays world with the internet and endless amount of resources
there is simply no reason to cheat on a paper or an exam. An argument can be made that the growth of
resources has only made it easier to cheat for many students. For many college students the one thing
that keeps them from cheating and motivated is the thought of hoisting that diploma high in the air and
knowing in knowing in their heart and minds that they did it all on their

Class Inequalities During Hurricane Katrina
When Hurricane Katrina made landfall, it became one of the deadliest hurricanes ever to hit the
United States, taking numerous lives and wiping away homes and belonging. Hurricane Katrina not
only left physical devastation in its wake, but also has generated much debate investigating the
question of whether the government s mishandling of the emergency was an issue of race or class.
Many people, including hurricane victims and critics, attributed that lack of immediate response to
racial injustice, for those who were left behind to suffer and die were predominantly African
Americans. Meanwhile, families who had sufficient resources to evacuate and could afford homes in
safer, flood protected areas were afflicted much less than poorer families, ... Show more content on

In the face of one of the deadliest natural disasters, Hurricane Katrina, America was at a struggle with
itself rather than against the natural phenomenon. What looked like a war against the storm was more
a social catastrophe that aroused huge race disparities among Americans (Smith 2006). These
disparities were unraveled in various media images and their accompanying captions, which were
critical in framing perceptions of people and event surrounding the catastrophe (Dyson 2006). In his
essay Frames of Reference, Michael Dyson particularly highlights the media s role in framing African
Americans as outlaws and savages (Dyson 2006). Two photos helped to solidify the contention that
race based bias still exists as deeply embedded in society: one image depicted a black male looting a
grocery store while am almost identical photo of a white couple was described as finding food and
necessities. These two images of identical occurrence are portrayed differently as white people were
viewed as innocent and doing the right thing by seeking food and shelter whereas black victims were
perceived as breaking moral codes and disrupting the society. The importance of the role of race is
further highlighted through examining how white and black people understand the situation. In the
aftermath of Katrina, a

his article The Streets of Life that Higher education seems to have made it through that critical in

always room for improvement. The article, Archaeology, Ethics, and Character is written by several

Forensic And How It Helps Determine Child Abuse
Forensic Osteology of Child Abuse By: Heather Hogue ANTH328 101 11/26/2016 In my paper, I will
explain forensic osteology and how it helps determine child abuse. I will also explain different
cultures and situations where child abuse cases take place. I will describe where child abuse has taken
place even in ancient times. Lastly, I will explain the challenges of forensic osteology in determining
child abuse, what could be mistaken for it, and how it s properly analyzed. My first article is about
forensic radiology and how it determines unexplained head injuries in child mummies. Janet Davey
and Olaf H. Drummer explained that the identification of cause of death in ancient Egyptian child
mummies have changed since advanced visual workstations have produced more detailed virtual data
that allowed more accurate reporting on injuries and cause of death. They elaborated on the fact that
virtual images from computerized tomography (CT) data have revolutionized the study of ancient
mummified remains. It has also removed the need for destructive procedures linked to unwrapping of
bodies and has been used in a number of forensic pathology institutions. Forensic radiology protocols
were used in the study of two small child mummies from the human remains collection in a British
museum. They have been mummified and wrapped two thousand years ago. They explained that the
bodies presented unique problems in interpreting the radiological data due to external linen

Life In The Secret Annex Analysis
A world of boredom, fear, frustration, being hidden for over two straight years is hard to imagine
anyone would have to go through, but in the secret annex they were facts of life. These treacherous
living conditions were forced upon the Frank family. From July 1942 to August 1944, the Frank and
Van Pelt families were in hiding, depending on their protectors and living in constant tension. During
those long two years, the living conditions in the Annex were terrible. LIfe in the Secret Annex was
constantly bland, the members of the Annex drowning in boredom. Constantly the Frank s and the Van
Pelt s had to be cautious. They no longer could they go beyond the door to the rest of the building. On

Constantly during the play the people hiding in the Annex were left in the dark of the news outside of
the Annex. This is illustrated on pages 306 and 307 when Mr. Dussel arrives at the Secret Annex. After
Mr. Dussel turned up at the Annex he addressed Mr. Van Pelt warning of how bad it has become,
depicting the situation, saying that Right here in Amsterdam every day hundreds of Jews disappear . . .
Along with being in the dark about events going on beyond the Annex, the Franks, Van Pelts, and Mr.
Dussel were constantly on edge, nervous about being caught. From start to end of the drama whenever
a noise came from inside the office or outside on the street everyone would freeze in silence,
overcome with fear that the Nazi s have found them. Anne describes the terror of these moments on
page 291, stating that It s the silence in the nights that frightens me most. Every time I hear a creak in
the house, or a step on the street outside, I m sure they re coming for us. Another key point that
emphasizes the fearful living conditions that the people in the Annex felt was their dependence on
their protectors. With so many people having the knowledge of their existence in hiding, it was nerve
racking for the members of the Annex. At any point just one person could let their secret slip or reveal

Incarceration In A Tale Of Two Cities
At the start of the novel, Manette has been recently released from the Bastille after a long

subsequently be a leader of the storming of the Bastille) and is then reunited with his daughter Lucie.
He does nothing but make shoes, a pastime that he adopted to distract himself from the tortures of
prison. He is clearly not in his right mind during this time; he speaks only when necessary, and has

As Jarvis Lorry makes his way toward France to recover Manette, the narrator reflects that every
human creature is constituted to be that profound secret and mystery to every other. For much of the
novel, the cause of Manette s incarceration remains a mystery both to the other characters and to the
reader. Even when the story concerning the evil Marquis St. Evrémonde comes to light, the conditions
of Manette s imprisonment remain hidden. Though the reader never learns exactly how Manette
suffered, his relapses into trembling sessions of shoemaking evidence the depth of his misery. Like
Carton, Manette over the course of the novel, undergoes drastic change. He is transformed from an
insensate prisoner who mindlessly cobbles shoes into a man of distinction. The contemporary reader
tends to understand human individuals not as fixed entities but rather as impressionable and reactive
beings, affected and influenced by their surroundings and by the people with whom they interact. In
Dickens age, however, this notion was rather revolutionary. Manette s transformation testifies to the
tremendous impact of relationships and experience on life. The strength that he displays while
dedicating himself to rescuing Darnay seems to confirm the lesson that Carton learns by the end of the
novel that not only does

because in the beginning of the story all the people were excited because Casey was coming up to bat

Creationism And Evolutionism
Creationism and Evolutionism Explaining Life
Imagining the whole world, it seems to be a sheet made of small pieces of different tissues. The
countless diversity of species existing in the world makes everyone think about how all species
appeared. So, some scholars became interested to explain how the species originated, and then they
began a diligent study around this topic. Consequently, some theories such as Creationism and
Evolutionism have arisen and started a big debate to highlight their ideas. Each theory has its own
beliefs, but separating them seems not to be the best way to get a full and coherent final explanation to
how species were originated. The gap between Creationism and Evolutionism lies in the fact that one

Despite the fact that most scientists look at Creationism as an unscientific theory, creationists take
their ideas seriously and have some strong sources of argumentation to support their assumptions.
Creationists support their ideas arguing that the living beings are so complex that they must have been
created by a higher being. Furthermore, the lack of clarity and failures found in others theories are
what most support Creationism. For example, some variations within a specie which are used as an
argument to prove evolutionists theories are sometimes also used by creationists as an argument to
contradict Evolutionism. According to creationists, variation in individuals characteristics within a
specie is possible and called microevolution, but these variations are never big enough to originate
another specie. What has never been scientifically demonstrated in spite of many examples of wishful
thinking is macro evolution, or the change from one distinct species to another. Dogs have never

In the essay of Weber, The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism (1905), he presented his
perspective about the spirit of capitalism and how the ascetic Protestantism was one of the major
elective affinities associated with the rise in the Western world of market driven capitalism . During
the first and the second chapter we could appreciate two important social behaviors. First, the
influence of one of the most important social structures religion affects the social behavior of people.
Second, the development of new moral standards due to the new conception well being. The

The credit system of the country had ceased to operate, and thousands of firms went into bankruptcy

as provide cohesion between banks across the United States. (Hepburn, 399) This knight in shining
armor, as described in the story of the bank run, was the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve Act of
1913 helped to establish banks as a united force working for the people instead of independent
agencies working against each other. By providing a flexible amount of currency, banks did not have
to hoard their money in fear of a bank run. Because of this, there was no competitive edge to see who
could keep the most currency on hand and a more expansionary economy was possible.
The evolution of the Federal Reserve did not begin on December 23, 1913 with the passage of the

national banking panics that had occurred in the precious thirty four years.
In response to this panic, a committee was established to find the flaws of the current banking system.

Children Should Make Our Children
Every parent wants to have a healthy perfect child, but without vaccines we would have so many sick
children that could die from the diseases that are out there today. If we all make sure our children have
their vaccines we would save more lives, save money so that we are not trying to treat the diseases,
and protect the future generations from the new diseases. When deciding whether or not to have our
children get these vaccines, think about all the good things they do rather than the bad. No one wants
to lose a loved one that has just passed of old age let alone passed because of something that could
have been prevented by just a simple vaccine. All parents of children should make sure that they
receive their vaccines because it will change people s lives, save our country a lot of money, and
protect our future generations.
Clearly, there are still plenty of people out there that are not vaccinated and they cannot wait too long
to get their vaccines. The Center of Disease Control estimated that 732,000 American children were
saved from death and 322 million cases of childhood illnesses were prevented between 1994 and 2014
due to vaccinations (Loria, 2014). Our country needs to come together to try to make our parents
understand why we are pushing to have their children vaccinated so soon. There are many ways
vaccines in the United States can change people s lives and we do not even realize it because
Americans take everything for granted. Just because a disease is lying

The Game Of Soccer Is The World s Game And The Greatest...

Biomechanical Analysis Introduction
Introduction to Biomechanics
October 10, 2014
The game of soccer is often called the world s game and the greatest sport ever to be played. Here in
America, soccer is the nation s game and only popular when one of the national teams is playing in the
World Cup or Olympics. While the sport is gaining popularity, Americans would rather play and watch
football and baseball. The slower paced, timeout centered sports such as football and baseball give
teams moments to regroup. In soccer there are hardly any pauses in a forty five minute half where a
team can have a few moments to take a breath before continuing play. A corner kick is one of the ways
of restarting play in the game of soccer and regrouping as a team. When the ball is played out of
bounds and last touched by a defending player, the attacking team is awarded with a corner kick. This
brief pause in the game allows the attacking team to regroup and an opportunity for them to score a
goal. A corner kick is taken from the nearest corner of the field where the ball exited. The soccer ball
is placed inside the arc, where the goal line and sideline intersect. The attacking player kicks the
soccer ball towards the group of attackers and defenders that are swarmed around the goal. This is the
optimal goal scoring opportunity for the attack team. By placing the ball in the right place, the
attacking team has the opportunity to score. Proper mechanics of a

Paul Meyer Communication
One of my favorite quote by the greatest success motivational planner, Paul J. Meyer is
communication the human connection is the key to personal and career success. As Meyer stated, it is
indeed crucial to have communication in order to gain success. Communication is an important part of
human life. No matter what we are doing, we are constantly communicating, conversing and
exchanging ideas. So far in my life I have overcome social anxiety, and communicating has been the
weapon I used to break my fear. So when it comes to communication, I take it very seriously that I
communicate effectively with people around me. I have two communication strategies I use to
communicate effectively with professors and friends/peers. These two strategies are, the first being
direct and to the point and the second is always having the reminder that the world doesn t revolve
around me. Strategies I would like to begin using such as encouraging feedback and plans that help
build my communicative toolbox. One of the most effective way I communicate with faculty/staff is
by being direct and to the point. In whole honesty, people don t need to know every single detail when
asking or stating something. When I communicate with staff/faculty, I think about the single most
important point I want to make or the central idea of my question. One of my preferable way to state
my main ideas is to meet face to face. I communicate better and dissolve my confusion, when I am

Ltcc Based High Voltage 3 D Power Module
LTCC Interposer Based High Voltage 3 D Power Module

Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR, USA
Abstract In this paper, a low temperature co fired ceramic (LTCC) interposer based high voltage (13
kV) half bridge power module is proposed. The proposed power module utilized multi layer LTCC
interposers to perform 3 D stack, which provides series connection between devices to achieve high
voltage rating of the power module. The proposed 3 D stack can be implemented through wafer level
packaging using silicon (Si) and silicon carbide (SiC) devices where paralleling of multiple devices is
required to achieve high current. In the proposed high voltage package design, through hole vias are

LTCC interposers also provide excellent high voltage breakdown insulation for the proposed package
design. The package exhibits lower parasitic inductance compared to the traditional wire bonded
counterpart. In this paper, the feasibility of the proposed power module design was simulated.

Sudoku puzzles are created with the intent of being solved...
Sudoku puzzles are created with the intent of being solved by human players with pencil, however as
with many things they can be solved much faster with computers. The layout of a Sudoku puzzle
comprises of nine rows and nine columns which make up eighty one total squares. Sudoku puzzles
have nine non overlying zones each consisting of three grid rows and three grid columns, or nine total
grids. In each of these zones all of the numbers must be unique (numbered one nine). On a similar
note, each number in a row or column must be unique (one nine) . Players must use deduction and
reasoning to solve these puzzles without making a mistake to arrive at the solution. The Algorithm
Solver is an algorithm that does precisely what its name ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The vector is used to hold the possible options for each square of the puzzle. After the contents are
copied into the three dimensional matrix it pushes back each of the available options onto each vector.
If there is already a space with a confirmed number in it the vector has the number 1 pushed back
which signifies that this is box is confirmed and does require changes. In addition if there is only one
element in the vector (not including negative one) then the value of the element is given to the square.
After the number is confirmed every element in the row, column and the box is check to see if the
number confirmed is an option for any of these, if so it is deleted. After a number is confirmed then
the algorithm starts back over from the first element and attempts to make further deductions with the
new information. The figure to the right shows how this process would work. The algorithm starts on
the first element and goes row by row until it finds the 7th element with only the option of 5. It then
inserts 5 into the value in the two by two matrix and checks every element in the same row, column
and box to see if it has the option of 5, while doing this it deletes the option of 5 from the 3rd elements
option vector and starts again from the first element. Then it finds that the 3rd element only has one
option of 9, and repeats the

Importance Of Machu Picchu
The site that I have chosen Is Machu Picchu. It is an Incan citadel set high in the Andes mountains in
Peru, above the Urubamba River valley. The site was built in the 15th century but was later
abandoned, Machu Picchu is renowned for its sophisticated dry stone walls that fuse huge blocks
without the use of a motor and intriguing buildings. Machu Picchu has polished dry stone walls, three
primary structures which are the Intihuatana, the temple of the sun, the room of the three windows.
Many of the outlying building structures have been reconstructed in order to give the tourist a better
idea of how the structures originally appeared. Machu Picchu lies in the southern hemisphere at
13.164 degrees south of the equator. Archaeologists believe that Machu Picchu was constructed as an
estate for the Inca emperor, which can often be mistakenly referred to as the Lost City of the Incas .
The site was built in a classical Inca style. By 1976, thirty percent of Machu Picchu had been restored
and the restoration has continued. The site Machu Picchu was declared a UNESCO world heritage site
and a Peruvian Historical Sanctuary in 1981.
Ecological sustainability is the capacity of the biosphere to meet the needs of the present generation, it
does this without affecting the future generation s needs. At Machu Picchu, there are natural
surroundings like terraces and ramps which seem as if they have been naturally cut in the continuous
rock escarpments. Machu Picchu s natural

Comparing Muir And Wordsworth
Naturalism is a style and theory of representation based on the accurate depiction of detail. These
writers use several different techniques of writing. The one most often used by the two is using nature
to represent emotion. In Muir s essay and Wordsworth s poem, both writers have expressed their
relationships with nature through poetry and diction.
Firstly, Muir and Wordsworth use both similar and different techniques when they write. Muir wrote
an essay that often used hopeful tones called The Calypso Borealis . He used dialect as well to
represent the way people he met spoke: Mony a puir body has been lost in that muckle, cauld, dreary
bog and never been found. By using dialect, he was able to bring accents and poor speech to life.

Law Questions Essay
1) Since the injured plaintiff was not wearing a seatbelt, why is Ford being sued for failing to test the
seatbelt sleeve? In the case of Branham v. Ford Motor Co., the Plaintiff brought the case against Hale,
the driver, and Ford because the company failed to test the seat belt sleeve, even though he did not
seriously pursue the claim against Hale (Reed, Pagnattaro, Cahoy, Shedd Morehead, 2012). The case
against Ford was based on two product liability claims: one for not testing the seat belt and the other a
design defect claim related to the vehicles tendency to rollover (Reed, Pagnattaro, Cahoy, Shedd
Morehead, 2012). Branham alleged in his case that Ford was negligent and strictly liable in failing to
effectively test the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ford s reasoning for dismissal of the negligence claim was that since Branham did not prove the seat
belt sleeve was in a defective condition unreasonably dangerous to its user meant that it should have
been dismissed as well. The court s decision to judge on the handling and stability design defect claim
portion (Reed, Pagnattaro, Cahoy, Shedd Morehead, 2012), this is true. 3) Is the consumer
expectations test or the risk utility test more favorable to manufacturers? Explain. In Branham v. Ford
Motors Co., the risk utility test is more favorable to the manufacturer. The consumer expectations test
is difficult to predict from a manufacturer s perspective because it is vague (Tracy 2010). Under the
risk utility test, a product is unreasonably dangerous and defective if the danger associated with the
use of the product outweighs the utility of the product (Reed, Pagnattaro, Cahoy, Shedd Morehead,
2012). The consumer expectations test is used to determine whether the product is negligently
manufactured or whether a warning on the product is defective. The courts noted that the consumer
expectations test was best suited for

In the business world today, the need to evolve your organization is not just a want but a necessity.
Competition, the economy, and changes in technology are a few of the factors that cause the need for
change. There is a constant change in society that creates finding effective ways for dealing with
change difficult at times. The purpose of this proposal is to acquire the approval to initiate, plan,
establish and perform a change modification within the business development department at Global
Payments. The change will increase the overall training for the employees in the business

Our goal is to raise all levels of success in order to satisfy the organization and upper management. We
must show an improvement in sales. The manager and team proposal consists of increasing employee
training within the business development department. This training will ensure that employees in sales
are acknowledging and understanding of the services, products and pricing available to our customers.
Within the change modification each employee will attend the proposed mandatory training courses.
The second step of this change is to include a new reward system to motivate the team to sell more.
That will be based off of attendance, participation, and meeting their quota. The purpose of this
program is to motivate and encourage employees so that they can then create motivated, loyal
customers that are willing to buy more products and services. In making a change there are factors that
need to be considered such as preparing the employees for the change by interacting with them,
ensuring that employees are ready to accept the change and making resources available for employee
training, establishing a level of devotion needed, and what the requirements are for each employee to
be successful. Managers will meet with employees to advise what the purpose of the change is.
Feedback from the employees will be

Are Beta Lactam Antibiotics Used As A Last Resort Of...
Carbapenems are Beta lactam antibiotics used as a last resort in medical treatment against several
bacterial infections as they possess the broadest spectrum of activity against various gram positive,
gram negative and aerobic bacteria (Papp Wallace et al. 2011). Originally developed from the
carbapenem thienamycin which demonstrated the utmost antimicrobial activity, Carbapenems consist
of six antibiotics: Doripenem, panipenem, biapenem, imipenem, meropenem and ertapenem all
currently present in clinical use (Boromo et al 2011). Carbapenems all have a variety of vital roles in
medicine and have helped reduce the threat of severe bacterial infections since the rise of multidrug
resistant pathogens. This can be seen with panipenem which is taken with betamipron to inhibit the
uptake of panipenem into the renal tube of the kidney, proving effective in treating surgical and
respiratory infections (Goa Noble, 2003). Although Carbapenem has proved useful as a last resort of
antibiotics, enterobacteriaceae a gram negative bacteria commonly consisting of Klebsiella and
Escherichia species, has developed mechanisms of resistance to carbapenems (Duin and Perez
2015).These carbapenem resistant enterobacteriaceae (CRE) portray a new profound danger
worldwide and require sustained efforts to control as there is little success on the elaboration of
antibiotics to replace carbapenem and therefore limiting therapeutic options available to patients.

My Role As A Nurse Educator
For this assignment you are asked to write a 3 page paper that discusses how up to this point, you have
embraced your role as a nurse educator (let s face it, all nurses are teachers!). What do you love about
teaching or being a teacher? What has been problematic for you? How do you see a doctorate degree
in nursing, with a focus on education and leadership, helping you further expand your ability to be an
effective educator? In other words, what has brought you to this point, where you want/need more
education?
Introduction
The nursing workforce and nursing education demographic trends reinforce the urgency to promote
future nursing leaders, educators, and mentors. Peer mentoring has been used successfully in nursing
education to enhance student engagement and the quality of the student learning experience. Although
various terms like peer mentor have been used to describe the role of senior students facilitating junior
student learning, the literature is silent about how peer mentoring fosters the development of future
nursing education leaders (Rosenau, P. A., Lisella, R. F., Clancy, T. L., Nowell, L. S. (2015). Growth
in the demand for nurses is fueling current and projected nursing shortages, as patient populations
grow older, sicker and more complex at the same time that the age of currently employed nurses
continues to increase.
How have embraced your role as a nurse educator (let s face it, all nurses are teachers!)

This caused several of the tribes to resist the action of taking more of their land and this went on for more than ten years. The Revolution brought to light many questions one of which was what status to give the Indians. The Constitution left out any reference to the status of the Native American tribes, the only resemblance of a legal status with the government was treaties made with the tribes to protect their lands. It did give Congress power to regulate Commerce with the Indian tribes, as well it forced the new government to honor all treaties made by the Confederation with the Indians. The new government even agreed with the tribes that they should have some type of sovereignty over their own lands, however the Constitution and the common law did not lay out any guidelines of a so called nation within a nation . A step toward this direction came in 1794 when the United States General Anthony Wayne defeated the Miami Indians in the battle of Fallen Timbers. Therefore lead to the new Federal Governments first treaty in 1795, Treaty of Greenville , that recognized the sovereignty of Indian nations. Currently I am eighteen years old and as the years have gone I ve realized how different things have been. I must say I don t remember all of my birthdays from when I was a kid, although I do remember a few of them. When I was five I had a birthday party and my mom hired a clown. Although I have to say I m not a big fan of clowns, this woman made my fifth birthday party an outstanding time! Her name was Betty, and clown Betty had paint with her, so she painted all the children s faces. For my prize I had to pick out of a huge surprise box, I was very happy with my prize I had won myself a Snow White game for my Gameboy. Some of the girls got a bit jealous and would say that the clown would only let me win because it was my birthday. In my opinion I think they were just upset that I had won and they didn t. Discovery of the LDL Receptor Goldstein and Brown began their work by measuring the activity of 3 hydroxy 3 methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase (HMG CoA reductase), which catalyzes the rate limiting step in cholesterol production. Goldstein and Brown found that when normal fibroblasts were grown in serum, HMG CoA reductase activity was low. Additionally, they found that when cholesterol carrying lipoproteins was removed from the culture medium, HMG CoA reductase activity increased by a large margin. Furthermore, they observed that HMG CoA reductase activity was suppressed when LDL was reintroduced to the medium. This inhibition of HMG CoA reductase by LDL, and the fact that low concentrations of LDL suppressed HMG CoA reductase activity, led Goldstein and Brown to believe that a receptor with high affinity for LDL was involved in the inhibition of cholesterol synthesis. When Goldstein and Brown measured HMG CoA reductase activity in FH homozygous fibroblasts grown in normal serum, they came to the conclusion that HMG CoA reductase activity was not affected by the presence of LDL in ... There is a lack of empirical data, i.e. research showing the prevalence of terrorism in countries with strong human rights records as opposed to countries with poor human rights records. There is significant judicial support for the assumption that you can fight terrorism without infringing human rights. The European Court of Human Rights, a judicial organ which has produced the most cogent body of international human rights law in existence, has on many occasions found that robust actions by Governments in the fight against terrorism are perfectly lawful in human rights terms. In its judgment in a case against Turkey where a member of a terrorist organization was shot and killed by anti terrorist police after he shot at them, the Court held that there was no violation of the right to life. However, ever since the nineteenth century, people have started to see themselves as nationals of a particular nation. The main notion of nationalism stems from the fact that people share something in common and thus they have a national identity. Well, everyone has their own religious views, rights and wrongs, and taught in the wrong hands only one religion may be taught and there goes religious equality. Also, the current curriculum is congested, where could educators find time to teach religion? How could religion be taught without anyone being offended or discriminated? • 27. Forensic And How It Helps Determine Child Abuse Forensic Osteology of Child Abuse By: Heather Hogue ANTH328 101 11/26/2016 In my paper, I will explain forensic osteology and how it helps determine child abuse. I will also explain different cultures and situations where child abuse cases take place. I will describe where child abuse has taken place even in ancient times. Lastly, I will explain the challenges of forensic osteology in determining child abuse, what could be mistaken for it, and how it s properly analyzed. My first article is about forensic radiology and how it determines unexplained head injuries in child mummies. Janet Davey and Olaf H. Drummer explained that the identification of cause of death in ancient Egyptian child mummies have changed since advanced visual workstations have produced more detailed virtual data that allowed more accurate reporting on injuries and cause of death. They elaborated on the fact that virtual images from computerized tomography (CT) data have revolutionized the study of ancient mummified remains. It has also removed the need for destructive procedures linked to unwrapping of bodies and has been used in a number of forensic pathology institutions. Forensic radiology protocols were used in the study of two small child mummies from the human remains collection in a British museum. They have been mummified and wrapped two thousand years ago. They explained that the bodies presented unique problems in interpreting the radiological data due to external linen ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 28. Life In The Secret Annex Analysis A world of boredom, fear, frustration, being hidden for over two straight years is hard to imagine anyone would have to go through, but in the secret annex they were facts of life. These treacherous living conditions were forced upon the Frank family. From July 1942 to August 1944, the Frank and Van Pelt families were in hiding, depending on their protectors and living in constant tension. During those long two years, the living conditions in the Annex were terrible. LIfe in the Secret Annex was constantly bland, the members of the Annex drowning in boredom. After Mr. Dussel turned up at the Annex he addressed Mr. Van Pelt warning of how bad it has become, depicting the situation, saying that Right here in Amsterdam every day hundreds of Jews disappear . . . Along with being in the dark about events going on beyond the Annex, the Franks, Van Pelts, and Mr. Dussel were constantly on edge, nervous about being caught. From start to end of the drama whenever a noise came from inside the office or outside on the street everyone would freeze in silence, overcome with fear that the Nazi s have found them. Anne describes the terror of these moments on page 291, stating that It s the silence in the nights that frightens me most. He does nothing but make shoes, a pastime that he adopted to distract himself from the tortures of prison. He is clearly not in his right mind during this time; he speaks only when necessary, and has become so used to being a prisoner that he can hardly bear light or freedom. Even when the story concerning the evil Marquis St. Evrémonde comes to light, the conditions of Manette s imprisonment remain hidden. Though the reader never learns exactly how Manette suffered, his relapses into trembling sessions of shoemaking evidence the depth of his misery. Like Carton, Manette over the course of the novel, undergoes drastic change. He is transformed from an insensate prisoner who mindlessly cobbles shoes into a man of distinction. The contemporary reader tends to understand human individuals not as fixed entities but rather as impressionable and reactive beings, affected and influenced by their surroundings and by the people with whom they interact. In Dickens age, however, this notion was rather revolutionary. Manette s transformation testifies to the tremendous impact of relationships and experience on life. Furthermore, the lack of clarity and failures found in others theories are what most support Creationism. Something had to be done that would provide for a flexible amount of currency as well as provide cohesion between banks across the United States. (Hepburn, 399) This knight in shining armor, as described in the story of the bank run, was the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 helped to establish banks as a united force working for the people instead of independent agencies working against each other. By providing a flexible amount of currency, banks did not have to hoard their money in fear of a bank run. Because of this, there was no competitive edge to see who could keep the most currency on hand and a more expansionary economy was possible. The evolution of the Federal Reserve did not begin on December 23, 1913 with the passage of the Federal Reserve Act. When deciding whether or not to have our children get these vaccines, think about all the good things they do rather than the bad. No one wants to lose a loved one that has just passed of old age let alone passed because of something that could have been prevented by just a simple vaccine. All parents of children should make sure that they receive their vaccines because it will change people s lives, save our country a lot of money, and protect our future generations. Erin Johnson and Megan Nieland Biomechanical Analysis Introduction Introduction to Biomechanics October 10, 2014 The game of soccer is often called the world s game and the greatest sport ever to be played. Here in America, soccer is the nation s game and only popular when one of the national teams is playing in the World Cup or Olympics. While the sport is gaining popularity, Americans would rather play and watch football and baseball. The slower paced, timeout centered sports such as football and baseball give teams moments to regroup. In soccer there are hardly any pauses in a forty five minute half where a team can have a few moments to take a breath before continuing play. A corner kick is one of the ways of restarting play in the game of soccer and regrouping as a team. When the ball is played out of bounds and last touched by a defending player, the attacking team is awarded with a corner kick. This brief pause in the game allows the attacking team to regroup and an opportunity for them to score a goal. A corner kick is taken from the nearest corner of the field where the ball exited. The soccer ball is placed inside the arc, where the goal line and sideline intersect. The attacking player kicks the soccer ball towards the group of attackers and defenders that are swarmed around the goal. This is the optimal goal scoring opportunity for the attack team. By placing the ball in the right place, the attacking team has the opportunity to score. Proper mechanics of a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Ltcc Based High Voltage 3 D Power Module LTCC Interposer Based High Voltage 3 D Power Module Atanu Dutta, Simon Ang, and Zhong Chen Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR, USA Abstract In this paper, a low temperature co fired ceramic (LTCC) interposer based high voltage (13 kV) half bridge power module is proposed. The proposed power module utilized multi layer LTCC interposers to perform 3 D stack, which provides series connection between devices to achieve high voltage rating of the power module. The proposed 3 D stack can be implemented through wafer level packaging using silicon (Si) and silicon carbide (SiC) devices where paralleling of multiple devices is required to achieve high current. In the proposed high voltage package design, through hole vias are implemented to form electrical connections between multi layer self aligned LTCC interposers. The LTCC interposers also provide excellent high voltage breakdown insulation for the proposed package design. The package exhibits lower parasitic inductance compared to the traditional wire bonded counterpart. In this paper, the feasibility of the proposed power module design was simulated. Originally developed from the carbapenem thienamycin which demonstrated the utmost antimicrobial activity, Carbapenems consist of six antibiotics: Doripenem, panipenem, biapenem, imipenem, meropenem and ertapenem all currently present in clinical use (Boromo et al 2011). Carbapenems all have a variety of vital roles in medicine and have helped reduce the threat of severe bacterial infections since the rise of multidrug resistant pathogens. This can be seen with panipenem which is taken with betamipron to inhibit the uptake of panipenem into the renal tube of the kidney, proving effective in treating surgical and respiratory infections (Goa Noble, 2003). Although Carbapenem has proved useful as a last resort of antibiotics, enterobacteriaceae a gram negative bacteria commonly consisting of Klebsiella and Escherichia species, has developed mechanisms of resistance to carbapenems (Duin and Perez 2015).These carbapenem resistant enterobacteriaceae (CRE) portray a new profound danger worldwide and require sustained efforts to control as there is little success on the elaboration of antibiotics to replace carbapenem and therefore limiting therapeutic options available to patients. • 49. My Role As A Nurse Educator For this assignment you are asked to write a 3 page paper that discusses how up to this point, you have embraced your role as a nurse educator (let s face it, all nurses are teachers!). What do you love about teaching or being a teacher? What has been problematic for you? How do you see a doctorate degree in nursing, with a focus on education and leadership, helping you further expand your ability to be an effective educator? In other words, what has brought you to this point, where you want/need more education? Introduction The nursing workforce and nursing education demographic trends reinforce the urgency to promote future nursing leaders, educators, and mentors. Peer mentoring has been used successfully in nursing education to enhance student engagement and the quality of the student learning experience. Although various terms like peer mentor have been used to describe the role of senior students facilitating junior student learning, the literature is silent about how peer mentoring fosters the development of future nursing education leaders (Rosenau, P. A., Lisella, R. F., Clancy, T. L., Nowell, L. S. (2015). Growth in the demand for nurses is fueling current and projected nursing shortages, as patient populations grow older, sicker and more complex at the same time that the age of currently employed nurses continues to increase. How have embraced your role as a nurse educator (let s face it, all nurses are teachers!) A nurse educator ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
