Jean-Jacques Rousseau s Film Triumph Of The Will
In this day, an age that we call the 21st century, as of 2015 it is recorded that more than 150 million
people are playing video games around the country. Video creators are just like movie directors they
must get the plot for their story from somewhere. During the semester, we have examined many
directors around different culture and study their nation state. Which is the point that they want to
come across in their movie. For example, Jean Jacques Rousseau describes the concept of family as
the first society. The real reason you re here is to read about Leni Riefenstahl nation state of the way
the Nazi overtly uses cinematic spectacle for propagandistic purposes. My claim is that her nation
state is something that can be seen in a video ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Thesis Statement Of Sweatshops
The Benefits Behind Sweatshops
Thesis statement: Sweatshops, when left to operate without government intervention, are the most
efficient way of out poverty.
Introductory rationale: When it comes to social justice issues, most people believe the government
needs to solve the problem. Social justice in sweatshops is no exception. In my research, I have found
that what people see as the cause of injustice in developing countries, sweatshops, are actually what is
responsible for lifting people up out of poverty. As a result, any sort of government regulation will fail
to solve the problem. The audience I am writing for is a diverse group of peers who are concerned
with social justice though they may have different solutions and beliefs about the topic. My goal in
this draft is to expand their knowledge and show them the benefits of not interfering with the free
market.
I. Claim 1: Sweatshops increase the standards of living for the workers and their communities

Biological Parent And A Foster Parent
What are the differences between being a biological parent, an adoptive parent, and a foster parent?
There are many differences between being a biological parent, an adoptive parent, and a foster parent.
Being a biological parent is when you are a parent of a kid by DNA. This means that both of your
DNA are shown similar when it goes through tests in a lab. An adoptive parent is a parent who chose
what child or children they want from a foster home. However an adoptive parent would have to do a
lot of paperwork to be a child or children parent by law. A foster parent on the other hand is a person
who takes after children that were either left from their parents or were taken away and put in foster
care.
What financial needs are parents obligated to provide and which are optional?
The financial needs that a parent must provide to a child or children is basic needs. This includes
nutrition food, clean and tidied clothes, an safe and healthy environment to live in. The optional
financial needs are things like toys, game sets, electronics ,and etc.
What other needs might a child have that a parent is expected to provide?

Tv Show Sociology
In the recent years, media, especially news outlets had been accused of being severely influenced by
political party s establishments due to their content. For example, in the United States, some had
accused media companies of being biased towards a political party while they clearly support the
other. It is a fact that this accusation, no matter how ridiculous they may sound, still holds some
elements of truth in it. Since it is undeniable that the media industry is in one way or another affected
by external factors, this essay will discuss the various ways of how movies and TV shows are affected
by the political and economic factor. The essay focuses on movies and TV shows because they
generally capture a larger scale of audience, causing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, in a Disney cartoon show, DuckTales which ran from 1987 to 1990, there are many
moments in which the creators try to portray that capitalism is a better way of life compared to
Socialism or Communism (Dofman and Mattelart, 1975). In the book, How to Read Donald Duck
(1975), it is argued that the Donald Duck character is an excessively materialistic character which
values money among other things (Dofman and Mattelart, 1975). The book also argues that there are
multiple moments in the cartoon shows which shows that the characters are only successful in their
career and ultimately their life after they are able to achieve great wealth while the poor and working
class are looked down upon. Since the show was released towards the end of the Cold War, it could be
said that the show was heavily influenced by the American economical ideology which is
consumerism due to the United States being in the Capitalist bloc. Apart from the United States, the
DuckTales show was also aired in other countries such as The United Kingdom, New Zealand and
Australia, it is clear that the show was made not only as a propaganda medium to influence to
American people but also people worldwide, especially children into believing that Capitalism is the
only way of life. Thus, it is only wise to theorise that the show could be created as a part of the Cold
War itself as it undermines the Communism ideology that was practiced in Soviet Union during that
time. In the book, How to read film (1977), the writer suggested that the character Donald Duck
would had been different if the United States didn t adhere to the capitalist ideology (Monaco,

Immune To Reality By Daniel Gilbert Summary
Anybody can experience trauma, whether it s a man, a woman, or even a child. In fact, over half of the
population is expected to experience trauma at least once in their lifetimes. However, everyone will
respond to trauma in their own, unique, way, making it difficult to properly equip people with the tools
needed to heal from trauma in the event they experience it. Whereas the responses a person and his or
her body will have in the event of heart attack have been narrowed down to a small list, and can easily
be conveyed to the public through general guidelines or PSAs, the responses a person will have to
trauma can range anywhere from shrugging it off to suffering from post traumatic stress disorder
(PTSD). This is why the role of mental health professionals, such as therapists, is crucial in regards to
helping sufferers of trauma. These professionals are specially trained to be capable of identifying and
understanding the responses a person is having to a traumatic experience, as well as the optimal ways
to go about the healing process. In Daniel Gilbert s Stumbling on Happiness, specifically the chapter
titled Immune to Reality, he analyzes what he calls the psychological immune system, a defence
mechanism of the psyche which plays a prominent role in how a person will respond in the event of
trauma. While Gilbert outlines the mechanisms that cause people to respond to trauma in the way that
they do, Dana Becker, author of One Nation Under Stress, looks at the actual

Heinz Ketchup
A Heinz Ketchup advertisement shows sliced tomatoes stacked haphazardly to form the general shape
of a bottle of ketchup. Towards the bottom of the frame, there is a crisp text that reads, No one grows
ketchup like Heinz. Through the analyzation of this advertisement, it becomes apparent that it is
effective and interesting in many different aspects, including form, content and style.
The form of this advertisement reflects the artist s intentions of making the product, Heinz ketchup,
seem healthier. For example, the lines throughout are very clean and crisp, which gives an air of
freshness about the piece. Further, the implied shape of the ketchup bottle through stacked tomato
slices is an innovative way for the artist to show that Heinz ketchup is made of just that, fresh
tomatoes. Also, both the foreground and background use a very strong color palette of red and white
with slight green accents to assist with the fresh feeling of the piece. With the way the space on the
page is handled, there is a very obvious focal point on the center of the page, focused on the implied
ketchup bottle. Using this simplistic composition shows the intention of the artist to leave this
advertisement feeling fresh and simple. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Off Balance Research Paper
Fundamentals of an Off Balance When I first joined judo I never expected to learn so many things in
just a small timely manner. Within the first week I already learned how to do throws, takedowns, and
submissions which were the basic essentials to mastering judo. Judo explained in the English
dictionary means an unarmed combat intended to train the body and mind. The objective is to either
throw or takedown an opponent to the ground, immobilize or otherwise subdue an opponent with a
pin, or force an opponent to submit with a joint lock or a choke. As I continued on doing judo I could
not figure out how to successfully execute a throw during the opponent s brief moment of off balance ,
until one of my upper classmate taught me how to do it correctly because it all depended entirely on
timing. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It s a simple push, shove, or pull in a direction that will take the opponent off balance. In order to win,
the opponent must be thrown with control, force, and on their back. By either pushing, shoving, or
pulling an opponent off balance, the execution of the actual throw is made substantially easier since
they will be leaning in that direction. Think of an off balance in Judo like pushing someone forward
and quickly extending a foot out so that they trip and fall. This example shows how timing is
everything, extend the foot too late after the push and they won t trip, too early and they might just
stumble a bit. It s a crude example, but it shows the relationship between off balance and timing of the
execution. Much like how one must quickly extend a foot at the right moment, a Judoka has but a few
seconds to off balance and throw an opponent all in one continuous and fluid motion. The timing of
the throw during the off balance will determine if it is successful. Without the off balance, a throw is
conceivably possible yet substantially more difficult to pull

Essay on Comparison of Pope and Swift
Alexander Pope and Jonathan Swift in their respective poems, The Rape of the Lock and The Progress
of Beauty, offer opposite representations of the nature and function of cosmetics in eighteenth century
society. In The Rape of the Lock, Pope gives a positive representation of cosmetic s nature and
function in eighteenth century society. On the other hand, Swift s representation takes a very negative
tone. Both poets clearly appreciate and admire the natural beauty of a woman and their opposite
opinions and therefore representation of the nature and function of cosmetics, springs from this
admiration. Pope, whilst slightly ridiculing cosmetics through his use of satire, represents cosmetics in
a positive light through portraying it as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However the satire is predominately light hearted, indicating Pope s optimistic and light hearted
feelings towards the use of cosmetics in eighteenth century society. The satire Pope uses on cosmetics
does not put a negative tone on the use of cosmetics, but rather puts into question Belinda s, and
therefore other women s priorities. In Pope s poem, a bible as such belongs with puffs and patches.
Keener s point in writing this is that Pope, by throwing in something as important as the bible with
things as futile as puffs and powders and patches, is satirizing Belinda s priorities; for Belinda,
religion is just as important as her appearance. Pope does not represent cosmetics as having a negative
nature through his satire, but rather shows the futility of women caring as much about their appearance
as they do about God. This is the only real satire Pope uses in relation to the use of cosmetics. It may
be argued that Pope is using this to show the negative function of cosmetics in eighteenth century
society in that it distracts women from God. However, vanity is something that can exist with or
without the presence of cosmetics. Even in Eden, Eve was distracted by her own beauty, giving in to
vanity. Therefore it would be fair to argue that this being the only presence of satire of cosmetics in
The Rape of the Lock, Pope maintains his representation of the nature and

Bravery Bravery is the theme that indicated in the texts The Maze Runner, Tomorrow When The War

your own life to be brave. In the book The Maze Runner written by James Dashner, Thomas woke up
and finds himself amidst a group of men in large open spaces surrounded by huge concrete walls that
will lead him to the maze. It opens every morning and closes when the sun sets. Later in the book,
Minho and Alby (the two runners) went into the maze they didn t return on time as usual. People were
waiting for them at the gate including Thomas. At the last second they finally came out, however Alby
was injured and the gate was about to close. Thomas thought he had no choice but to sacrifice himself
for Alby. Thomas knew he had no choice. He moved. Forward. He squeezed past the connecting rods

Software Reusability
Software reusability
TERM PAPER
Software reusability is generally considered a way to solve the software development crisis. When we
solve a problem we try to apply the solution to similar problems because that makes our work easy
and simple. Now in this paper I would like to cover important aspects of software reusability. But one
thing is for sure software reusability can improve software productivity. Software reuse has become a
topic of much interest in the software community due to its potential benefits, which include increased
product quality and decreased product cost and schedule. The most substantial benefits derive from a
product line approach, where a common set of reusable software assets act as a base for subsequent ...

And it s not just a technical issue; it is highly managerial in nature. As much as libraries of reusable
code and other assets are important, they will not be fully utilized without management and process
support of reuse.
Organization and Process
The classical software development process does not support reuse.[2] Reusable assets should be
designed and built in a clearly defined, open way, with concise interface specifications,
understandable documentation, and an eye towards future use. Typically, customer, client, and contract
projects are built as one time only, without reuse in mind, and tend to be tightly bound within
themselves, without the more robust open interfaces which ease the reuse process. Therefore, in order
to make the most of software reuse, the software development process must evolve to include reuse
activities.
A strong organizational foundation must exist for reuse to succeed, since domain engineering involves
a different way of looking at software products, called a product line approach. A product line is a
family of similar products addressing a particular market segment, or domain, and provides a massive
opportunity for reuse. With a reuse process in place, every

Affirmative Action In Light Of Critical Race Theory (CRT)
The academic debate over affirmative action has become a bitter stalemate. Opponents consider
affirmative action to be reverse discrimination, while supporters say that the relationship between
blacks and whites is hardly symmetrical. The sterility of this debate suggests that it is time for a fresh
perspective, and an analysis considers affirmative action in light of critical race theory (CRT). One of
CRT s tenets is that conventional civil rights scholarship has limited application to current racial
problems. Because of the practical and political limits on affirmative action, disputes about its
legitimacy are likely to fade as attention shifts to other problems and remedies.
We argue and show that support for affirmative action depends

The Chinese Culture
1.0 Introduction
The term culture has many meanings depending on the context in which it is placed. Culture could
mean the way that people have been used to a set system of activities until it becomes a part of their
inheritable knowledge, which they can pass to the next generations. Customs and beliefs can also form
the culture of people who live in a common geographical location or the era in which they are living.

of the employees of that organization. It can also be defined as the set objectives that the staff of an

There are many carvings in the Chinese museums, which were done centuries ago. The carvings
showed things like; how the Chinese are people who nurture creativity, and this has explained the
reason for their creativity even in this technological world. Another art invented by the Chinese was
the martial arts. The Chinese are well known for practicing Kung Fu, and it has become a well known
art in the entertainment industry. Kung Fu was invented by copying the attacking techniques of
animals, and the Chinese has used it as an act of self defense to the extent that there are Kung Fu
classes that are taught for a fee.
Up until today, the Chinese still embrace their culture, and little westernization has penetrated into the
Chinese culture.
4.0 Religion
In China, there have been strict laws governing religion, and some of the religions have been declared
illegal. Some of the commonly practiced religions are Catholicism, Protestantism, Islam, and
Buddhism. Apart from the ones mentioned, there are also traditional religions such as Confucianism.
Despite the religious restrictions, the Chinese are believers in supernatural beings and they conserve
their traditional religion. At various times of the year, the Chinese go for pilgrimages to honor their
deities and their children are taught how to worship from when they are in kindergarten.

typically required to follow a set of rules and regulations. These rules and regulations are called the
General Accepted Accounting Principles. Throughout these next few paragraphs, I will be giving you
the history and evolution of accounting, and I will be explaining who the stakeholders are and what
type of information they require, and I will be explaining the role of accounting in business. There will

used to put tax on goods and services. Accounting has revolved into what every company uses today
which is the equation of; Assets=Liabilties+Owners Equity. The meaning of this equation is to show
companies what they own and what they owe to there creditors and everybody else. Stakeholders can
be defined as a person, group, organization, or system that affects or can be affected by an
organization s actions. Examples of stakeholders in accounting are; owners, suppliers, customers,
government, employees, creditors, and labor unions. These people are classified into four categories;

Happiness In Candide And Zadig Ou La Destinée
Voltaire works Candide and Zadig ou la Destinée discuss the happiness of men and the philosophy
behind being happy. Candide suggests that men should be continuously striving for a better society
where everyone is happy, while Zadig ou la Destinée argues that a society where all men are happy
cannot exist. It appears that since Voltaire wrote these pieces, society has progressed and become a
better place but attaining the ideal of happiness for all men does not seem possible. In Candide, the
main character Candide, is taught to think optimistically about everything he encounters. So, for the

At the end of this novel, the main character, Zadig learns that bad things will always happen, and
sometimes they happen to good people. In other words, somebody could do everything right and they
still might have something bad happen to them. Voltaire argues that this is because there are some
things beyond our control, and while we might not see it, the universe always has a reasons for its
actions. Using this philosophy, it becomes clear that while we should always strive to make the world
a better place, we cannot make it a perfect world where everyone is happy all the time. For example,
society could progress so that no biases exist at all, everyone has an equal opportunity at achievement
despite their race, gender, or income. Everyone might be happy at least most of the time, but we
cannot stop people from dying, or volcanoes from erupting, There are some things bad things that
despite people s best efforts, humans will not be able to control. Therefore, humans should continue to

Responsibility In Medea
In his episodic play, Medea, Euripides points out certain responsibilities for mortals to follow. This is
an example of a myth that has a moralistic prospect. The different responsibilities come down to social
and personal. Medea demonstrates both strong social and personal responsibilities. There are
numerous social responsibilities outlined in Medea; however, the first one that jumps out is the
feministic responsibility to allow women to choose how to live their own lives. If a woman does not
want to have children and would be more content with working, then it is a social responsibility to
allow and support that decision. This obligation is outlined when Medea claims that I would rather
stand three times in the line of battle ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Euripides makes this relevant when Jason enters the scene in Episode IV and proclaims that I have
come at your bidding. For even though you hate me I shall not fail you, but I will hear (Euripides

independence as a woman or as a person. Medea introduces her strong personality and demonstrates
her personal responsibility to stand up for the bigger social responsibility. Medea feels it is her
personal responsibility to stand up for her right as a woman by scheming against Jason. His blatant
misogyny is grounds for the trickery inspired and carried out by Medea. Medea very cleverly plays the

Junior Research Paper Topics
Junior Research Paper I chose to research the University of California Riverside for several reasons. I
wanted to attend a four year university that was in California, was reasonably close to home, had
similar weather that I was used to, and had a large campus with a medium to large amount of students.
UCR seemed to fit that description best, and it appealed to me most because of how close to home it
is. UCR is within 20 minutes from home, and it meets all of the other requirements I wished for in a
college that I would like to attend. UCR is one of the easier California Universities to get into, which
is anothermajor reason why I chose this college. The University of California Riverside will be a
perfect fit for both my personal needs and my career because of the environment the college is located
in, the amount of students attending and extra curricular activities avalible, and the ease of the
application process and the acceptance rate. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Educational drama in education
Educational drama in education for sustainable development: ecopedagogy in action
he research on which this paper is based is a response to the UNESCO directive for the Decade of
Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) 2005 2014. Educators are advised to prepare young
people for sustainable development and global citizenship and the Arts should be included in
programmes in ESD. This paper presents an overview of a research project based on the hypothesis
that educational drama might be a useful medium for teaching and learning in environmental,
sustainable development and global citizenship education. Central to the project, an ethnographic case

Its goal is to encourage changes in behaviour that will create a more sustainable future in terms of
environmental integrity, economic viability, and a just society for present and future generations
(UNESCO 2005) and to help young people to become global citizens (UNESCO 2006). In response,
the Scottish Government (SDELG 2006) recommends that education for sustainable development
should offer young people opportunities to practise and develop:
sensitivity to and appreciation of the social and natural environment;
some factual understanding of environmental and social problems and issues;
knowledge/understanding of the social environment;
skills to find out about and explore environmental issues;
civic skills to influence decision‐making in society;
researching and communicating information about one s own environment;
improving one s own environment: acting responsibly; and
critical reflection on the quality of environmental developments.
Educators are challenged to find interesting and meaningful ways of helping young people to develop
the knowledge, skills and values they will need to become actively involved in building a more
sustainable future. UNESCO states that drama can be part of the teaching and learning process. This
paper sets out the results of a research project the aim of which was to discover if the

Employee Rights
Abstract The issue of employers and employees rights has always brought controversy in most
companies. Some rights are expressly known like the right of employees to get paid after working for
the agreed period of time among others. However, there are those things done by the employers that
most employees feel are too private. Employees feel that some things done by the employers are an
intrusion to their privacy. This paper will discuss issues on whether the employer has a right to review
the employees email. It will look at both the employers and the employees perspective and what the
law says about the issue. Introduction Employees and employers have reciprocated obligations
towards each other. These duties are usually expressed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The law supports the claim that employees have a right to access employees emails, although most
employees are of the opinion that their employers should not access their emails. The courts have not
found any reasonable expectation for the employees to have privacy in the same and therefore, they
have always granted permission to the employers to keep an eye on the employees activities as well as
reviewing it. In a case of Smith v. Pillsbury Co., the plaintiff had sued the employer on the ground that
he had wrongfully discharged him after the employer intercepted an email message he considered
inappropriate (Jennings, 2005). Smith being an at will kind of employee, his suit centered on whether
by being discharged, it went against Pennsylvania s public policy thereby falling into the exemption
under the general rule which indicate that employees who are employed on the at will basis can have
their employment terminated any time. The defendant was given motion from dismissal of the case
since it failed to state a claim. The employer was therefore found not guilty of either invading the
employees privacy or violating public policy when he terminated smith (Wolkinson Block, 1996). The
employer had created email communication system but had told the employees that it was privileged
and confidential. The employer also informed the workforce that their emails would not be intercepted

Respondnt Identification Report
I would rule to revoke the Respondent s driver s license in this situation. Pursuant to C.R.S. § 42 4
1301.1(2)(a)(III), if a law enforcement officer requests a blood or breath test to determine the BAC
level of a driver, the driver must cooperate with the request such that the sample of blood or breath can
be obtained within two hours of the person s driving. Under this statute, a police officer with probable
cause believing that a driver has committed an alcohol related driving offense may require the driver
to select and to complete either a blood test or a breath test. After the driver selects a particular test,
then he or she must submit to that test within two hours. Id.; People v. Null, 233 P.3d 670, 678 (Colo.
2010). C.R.S. § ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We do know the officer was dispatched to the scene at 5:50 PM and the test occurred at 7:15 PM. In
this situation, two hours hadn t even passed since the officer knew of the incident, though possibly two
hours from the Respondent driving. However, pursuant to Boom and Stumpf, as long as a request for
the test is made within a reasonable time and the test occurs within two hours of that time, there
should be no issue presented by these facts. In my opinion, the officer requested the test within a
reasonable time from being dispatched to the scene, just over an hour after being dispatched. It is
difficult to say with certainty based on these facts what occurred. While we do not need the law
enforcement officer to be present at the hearing, see C.R.S. § 42 2 126(8)(a)(II), we do need the
officer to submit all required documents and affidavit mandated by § 42 2 126(5)(a). For blood or
breath tests administered to a driver suspected of drunk driving to be admissible in administrative
proceedings regarding revocation of a driver s license, the tests must be administered in accordance
with health department rules and regulations. Brewer v. Motor Vehicle Div., Dept. of Revenue, 720
P.2d 564, 568 (Colo. 1986). Therefore, in these circumstances I would rule to revoke Respondent s
driver s license since his BAC was well over the legal limit of 0.08 and because the officer
administered the test within a reasonable time. Even without the officer present to testify, there should
be enough evidence presented for a revocation of the Respondent s license pursuant to C.R.S. §

Positive Behaviour Of Robinson Crusoe
Daniel Defoe s novel, published in 1719, is the spiritual autobiography of one man: Robinson Crusoe.
The novel tells the story of an English mariner of York, with wanderlust spirit, who decides not to
follow his parents plans for him of living a middle class life preferring to travel around the world. His
father did not give him the consent to go away arguing that his choice meant as going against the
authority of God himself; therefore, God will not have mercy on Robinson. In fact, his first trips seem
to fulfill the prophecy of his father because his ship was wrecked in a storm and later was attacked by
pirates. Ashamed to go home, Crusoe bordered another ship and returned to another trip towards
Africa challenging his fate. Consequently ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Robinson behaved as a father for Friday teaching him to speak English and converting him to
Christianity. In fact, he changed Friday from cannibalism to a Christian who believes in God. There is
a strong spiritual relationship that relates the two men. They engaged in various theological debates
finding out that there are some similarities between the two beliefs. Friday s religion involves the
worship of a mountain god named Bemamuckee represented by priests called Oowokakee. Friday has
many doubts towards Christianity especially regarding the devil. If God much strong, much might as
the Devil, why God not kill the Devil, so make him no more do wicked? Crouse shows trouble in
answering to this question admitting that with his religious knowledge, he was not able to answer to
that question. However all his insecurities about Christianity, Robison succeeds on converting Friday
to Christianity. The episode of Crusoe teaching Friday about Christianity resembles the one in
Paradise Lost where the angel Raphel teaches Adam about the divine nature of the world. In the last
part of the novel, Robinson tells of when he and Friday rescued two prisoners from a group of
cannibals discovering that one of the prisoners was Friday s father. This event seems to be a
coincidence because for many years Crusoe treated Friday as his son; therefore, this episode makes
him think that Friday was not his

(thanks!), which helped me to make any necessary changes to my project. I cannot imagine having to
look for illustrations, learning to insert them in Word, researching for facts to support my current
knowledge about wound care, as well as the proper hand washing technique. I remember in my last
class, we talked about the Bay of Pigs ; this short clip discusses where several smart men (JFK and
others) met together to decide what to do about the missiles in Cuba, and then made the decision to
invade Cuba. These men did not ask for a less than geniuses individual s opinion, and proceeded to

matters, such as in advertising, films, political speeches, and the ingredient of a healthcare lesson

who have been involved with abuse; however, with my experience in substance abuse, as well as my
knowledge in this area, I may end up in that field. We all tend to lean toward something that we know,
instead of learning something new. Regardless of the career field chosen, I will need to prepare lesson

First Playoff Of The Pakistan Super League ( Psl )
Take a bow, PSL Is there a better sight in sport than an underdog summoning the form of his life
against all odds to push his team across the finish line? I do not think so. This is exactly why the first
playoff of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) pitting the Peshawar Zalmi against Quetta Gladiators on
February 19 was so satisfying. It had enough drama and plot twists to appease the most demanding
punters. The PSL is a resounding success for a whole range of reasons, but to me, the last 20 minutes
of this game encapsulated what is means to be a cricket fan in Pakistan and how international fixtures
are poorer for not playing to packed stadiums in Karachi, Lahore or Rawalpindi. As fortunes seesawed
in the homestretch, unsurprising since both Zalmi and Gladiators were easily the best teams through
the tournament, cameras cut to rapt audience members revealing why the PSL is here to stay. In a
Dubai Cricket Stadium heaving with emotion, a sizable number of patrons had their hands clasped in
earnest prayer as both teams duked it out in the middle. The charged atmosphere felt like an India
Pakistan contest! The Gladiators eventually pipped Zalmi by a single run and their success came
courtesy of right arm quick Aizaz Cheema s brisk jog up redemption road. Leading up to that magic
final over, Cheema had dished out a series of indifferent half trackers and low full tosses that got
clattered for plenty. Even Zalmi tail ender Wahab Riaz, a man known more for his express pace and

The Princess Bride By William Goldman
For this assignment, I chose to watch The Princess Bride, a film based on the book written by William
Goldman. The story is of a beautiful maiden named Buttercup. When she hears word of her true love,
Westley s, ship being taken over by the Dread Pirate Roberts in which there were no survivors. Upon
Westley s death, Buttercup reluctantly agrees to marry Prince Humperdinck, who seems to have a plan
of his own. When Westley returns as the Dread Pirate Roberts, he finds Buttercup in grave danger in
the hands of Vizzini, the man we later learn was hired by Humperdinck to kill his bride and frame
Florin s sworn enemy, Guilder. After using his sword fighting skills and strength to outwit Inigo, the
Spanish swordsman, and Fizzik, the giant, he then uses his wit to kill Vizzini, Buttercup s capturer.
Once Buttercup is able to identify Pirate Roberts as Westley, they continue on their journey, only to be
thwarted by Prince Humperdinck, Count Rugen, and their men. Buttercup is then tricked to believe
that they let Westley go free, even though they have him tortured and eventually killed. In need of his
skills and strength, Fizzik and Inigo miraculously save Westley in order to seek revenge on Inigo s
father s killer, Count Rugen. The three of them then break into the castle, Inigo gets his revenge, and
save Buttercup, riding off on four white horses. As in every plot line, there are various conflicts that
occur in this film. Conflict, as we have learned, is a disagreement between

Social Darwinism in America s medical community was common and often affected how medical

Symbolism In A Raisin In The Sun
Symbols can be; images, signs, colors, sounds, shapes, anything. It is like how blue can stand for
sadness, and how the sun can stand for happiness. Symbolism is an object or an idea that has a
representation beyond the literal meaning of the object. The functions of symbols are to add meaning
to the text and underline some subtle point the author is making, also to give the reader a clue about
the mood of the story and what will happen. The symbols Lorraine Hansberry used in A Raisin in the
Sun are the light, plant, and the window. All three symbols; the light, the plant, and the window, have
to go together for the Youngers to reach their dream.
The drama A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry, shows the life of the Youngers, an African
American family living on the Southside of Chicago in the 1950s. In the beginning, the Youngers are
about to receive an insurance check for $10,000. This money comes from the deceased Mr. Younger s
life insurance policy. Each of the adult members of the family has an idea as to what he or she would
like to do with this money. Mama, wants to buy a house to fulfill a dream she shared with her
husband. Mama s son, Walter Lee, would rather use the money to invest in a liquor store with his
friends. He believes that the investment will solve the family s financial problems forever. Beneatha,

Emphasizing Too Much on the SAT
I was in trouble. The first analogies were pretty straightforward along the lines of leopard is to spotted
as zebra is too striped but now I was in the tall weeds of nuance. Kangaroo is to marsupial as the giant
squid is to I don t know, maybe D) cephalopod? (Boylan). As we all know, tests vary from
straightforward, to mildly difficult, to just unforgiving and torture for the mind, but this is life and
whether people like it or not, everybody has to take a test in their academic career. In specific, the
quote at the start of the paragraph shows the author of Save Us From the SAT, explaining to the reader
her struggles when she took the SAT or Scholastic Assessment Test. But not to worry because College
Board announced in late March that they will be redesigning the SAT to make it, as they say, more
high school oriented. The way the SAT is being changed is by making the essay optional, taking out
the odd and unusual vocabulary words and replacing them with words that people use day to day life,
allowing it to be taken on a computer, and most importantly not penalizing the test taker for getting
the wrong answer. This all sounds fantastic, but there is one problem and that is that the new exam
will be put into use in 2016. That is my problem, why would they make people suffer and make the
test only available until 2016. In my opinion, College Board should speed up the process of making
the new SAT in order for other people to benefit from the changes. Many people

Notorious Crimes In The 1920 s
1920s Notorious Crimes and Society
In the 1920s, notorious crimes and trials greatly impacted American culture and daily life. Some of the
major crimes are ones created by Al Capone. Al Capone was a big part of crime in the 1920s because
he could control the whole city of Chicago during prohibition. He was behind the St. Valentine s
Massacre and earned nearly 60 million dollars selling illegal alcohol (History). Leopold and Loeb was
disturbing in that the young boys would kidnap and kill for a ransom. All of these crimes committed in
the 1920s have greatly affected culture and daily life. Al Capone owned the city of Chicago during

The people who committed the crime were Richard Loeb and Nathan Leopold both young and

culture and daily life of many americans. The crime captured national attention (Linder). 18 year old
Loeb was obsessed with crimes, he planned them, and committed them (Linder). None of the crimes
he did were as serious as the one that struck the nation (Linder). He was the youngest graduate ever at

He was a law student at the University of Chicago, and was planning on going to Harvard Law school

Gender Roles In STEM
Over the course of history, advances made by women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Mathematics (STEM) have been overshadowed and downplayed due to a male dominant culture in
these fields. The primary reason for these fields being dominated by males is the way women have
been forced into gender roles over the course of history. Women with ambition to build, create, and
discover have been discouraged from following their passions and are instead told to focus on raising
their children. This discrimination has hurt the overall progress in scientific communities as it has
limited women in the resources available to them and has forced them to work in the shadows. Yet
there has still been great progress in STEM made by women. Over the past ... Show more content on

Many women end up surrounded by male peers with no one to relate to in their coursework. Women
may find themselves isolated in their classes and unable to find academic organizations on campus
that support women majoring in STEM. Being unrepresented in STEM academia and having a limited
amount of peers to relate to leads to discouragement. Women also face harsher criticism due to male
bias within the STEM communities. This criticism comes not only from their male peers, but from
administrative staff at institutions as well. One study shows that many woman applying for STEM
related scholarships have had to be up to 2.5 times more productive than men to be considered equally
competent (Barres, 386). This is again due to the gender stereotypes that have become imbedded
within society. This bias also means women pursuing STEM degrees are put at a disadvantage in
regards to selective processes for internships and academic clubs. By constantly having to prove
themselves and repeatedly being discouraged by their environment, women studying STEM have a
much harder time than men staying motivated in their courses. This of course leads to lower grades
and a greater likelihood of dropping out of their programs. It is also safe to assume that creating an
environment that causes women to constantly doubt themselves will have a negative impact on their
academic performance; any student male or female must believe in themselves to be able to

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
The movie, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, is a historical fiction. It occurs some time in China
under a dynasty. Some of the events that happened in this movie relate to some of the material that we
covered in class. One event that happened was when Jen and her family travels through the desert and
were attacked by Lo and his Dark Cloud on horses. In my interpretation, I believe that Lo and his gang
of bandits, displayed some similarities to The Mongols. As seen in the movie, they rode and fought on
horses, were nomadic, and lived by raidings, which are things that Mongols are known for. They use
horses for mobility and height against their enemies. When Lo and Jen are in Lo s cave, he assumes

Normally in East Asia, silk and porcelain were apart of the Chinese trading goods to parts of Europe,
which we discussed in class. It s a historical fiction because, let s be real, there weren t any flying

inaccurate because the director, Ang Lee, was Taiwanese or wasn t so sure about the concept, so
instead of hitting it straight on the nail, he decided to put some inaccuracy into the film. Also, I am not
so sure if they did tea ceremonies in China like they did in Japan, but in one scene in the movie, you
can see that Shu Lien purposely drops her tea while Jen catches it before it completely falls to the
floor. Shu Lien then figures that Jen is the one who stole the Green Destiny. As mentioned in a lecture,

The Military Manipulated The Media During The First Gulf War
The aim of this investigation is to determine to what extent the US military manipulated the media
during the First Gulf War. Therefore my research question is to what extent was media coverage of the
First Gulf War manipulated by the United States government. In order to obtain an appropriate
analysis of this topic several different sources will be consulted throughout this investigation. Those
include, archived books, news reports, interviews, photos and websites. I will now analyse 2 of the
sources that I will use in the investigation For example the U.S Government exhibited great skill in
shaping media coverage during the Gulf War. It used several means to do so. Reporters were restricted
to the pool system meaning the government choose which reporters and news organizations had
access to battlefield coverage. The government escorted the media to sites of the governments
choosing and even then the media had to submit their reports to government censorship. Most of the
media spent most of the Gulf War in hotel rooms in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia reporting on government
press briefings, and rebroadcasting and rebroadcasting the Pentagon s footage of perfect bombing runs
and surgical air strikes. The media had no independent ability to confirm or deny these rosy pictures
and reports and no ability to track down stories the government did not want shown, such as those
about Iraqi casualties, civilians dead or injured, missed bombs, or failing to strike Saddam Hussein.

[of the socialist system] should manifest itself in many ways, but first and foremost it must be
revealed in the rate of economic growth and in economic efficiency (Deng 1980). With this explicit
commitment to growth, Deng links the political legitimacy of the CCP, as the monopolist of power
within the PRC, to economic performance. Therefore, the inevitable economic slowdown in the PRC
will undermine the legitimacy of the authoritarian CCP and force political liberalization. Given this
statement, I suspect two major questions have arisen: (1) How is economic slowdown in China
inevitable and (2) Could the CCP just adapt its basis of authoritarian legitimacy without political
liberalization? I will address both questions in full after examining the history of economic reform in
the PRC.
Economic Growth in the PRC from 1978 to 2016
The story of economic reorganization starts in 1978 after the Cultural Revolution when Deng, acting
as the paramount leader of the CCP, replaced collective farming with the household responsibility
system in which farmers were allowed to sell extra grain on the open market. With increased
incentives, agricultural production increased by 47 percent from

Serial Killers
Dennis Nilson stated a mind can be evil without being abnormal . If this is the case, then what makes a
serial killer tick? The definition of a serial killer is; a series of two or more murders committed as
separate events usually, but not always, by one offender standing alone. (Brookes, 1988) Over the
years, many murderers have been given this term. From the early days of Jack the Ripper, to the most
recently publicized case of the sniper , all have different motives and reasons to the crimes that they
commit. Most of the serial killers suffer from mental illness/addictions or have had traumatic life
experiences. This is not always the case though; some can also be racially motivated. The typical
serial killer is a lower to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Malvo was sentenced to many life sentences without parole, and Muhammad was sentenced to the
death penalty. Both killers still have pending trials within other states.
Forensic Science
Forensic and DNA casework has been a major player in catching these cold blooded killers. Since
most investigators have to work from clues, they rely on these sources to lead them in the right
direction. Many findings such as, blood, weapons, hair, or any source of DNA can help put the puzzle
pieces of these cases together. This has solved many cases, and is a strong piece of evidence in the
judicial system.
Muhammad Malvoy, The Snipers In the sniper case, an anonymous caller (believed to be Muhammad)
told a priest to inform police to investigate a robbery in Alabama. When the police looked into the
robbery, part of the evidence Alabama s police force had found were a set of fingerprints from a
magazine. Further investigation proved these prints belongs to Malvo, who was already on file. Since
Malvo lived with Muhammad for a year in Washington, they were both linked together. After police
knew about Muhammad, they discovered he purchased an old police car in New Jersey. After
announcing to the public the type of vehicle to search for, it led to the capture of the two killers.

What Is Calypso A Motif In The Odyssey
1. In Homer s, The Odyssey, the character, Calypso, is represented by the archetype of the temptress.
For example, in the given quote, Then each one s hands went out on each one s feast until they had
had their pleasure. , demonstrates the fact that Calypso has the power to seduce Odysseus even if he
had no feelings towards her. As in every other story featuring a temptress, Calypso has power to attract
the hero. Her intentions lie in entrapping Odysseus in order to gain company. Often because of the
intentions to trap, temptresses are seemingly dangerous or deviant or evil in the eyes of their prey.
Care for Odysseus is shown by Calypso by her frequent attempts to seduce him, but also when she
saves him and his men from the sea monsters, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Homer s, The Odyssey, Greek hospitality is demonstrated in the sections of the Cyclops.
Expectations in Greek hospitality include, not only being graciously welcomed into the home of
another, but also feasts, entertainment, shelter at times and bearings for their journey from which they
came. Not only is this portrayed in the scenes with the Cyclops, but also in the beginning of the epic,
where Telemachus warmly welcomes the suitors and goddess Athena into the home of Odysseus and
his family. Ancient Greeks treated guests equivalent to their own. As common in Ancient Greece,
there are consequences for disobeying or not following social conduct and culture. These inferred
consequences are likely to include, misfortune, isolation or a curse. The reasons being that because
most of Greek culture is derived from the gods, the power is present to determine punishment and the
wellness of those who disobey forums. Because the Cyclops shows no signs of hospitality to Odysseus
and his men, they have characteristics of being barbaric, brutish in nature and the overall damnation of

Society s Understanding Of The World Operates Around Them
In one discourse we may find benign an public spirited expert administrators. Another discourse might
portray the same people as selfish bureaucrats. Still others might ignore the presence of government
officials altogether. Many other kinds of agents and motives put in appearances. They include
enlightened elites, rational consumers, ignorant and shortsighted populations, virtualizes, rational
consumers, ignorant and shortsighted populations, virtuous ordinary citizens, a Gaia that may be tough
and forgiving or fragile and punishing, among others(Dryzek). Environmental discourses are a social
navigation that mediates knowledge by building a meaning through re occurring patterns within
symbolic communication. They help guide society s understanding of how the world operates around
them. In order to understand certain discourses, one must analyze how symbols and language shape
social constructs and behaviors. Discourses construct meanings and relationships, helping define
common sense and legitimate knowledge. Each discourse rests on assumptions, judgments, and
contentions that provide the basic terms of analysis, debates, agreements, and disagreements(Dryzek).
One also must understand their historical context and institutional encasements in order to fully
comprehend the discourse. All discourses have key tropes, metaphors, symbols, and genres that help
make up its properties. For example, spaceships (the idea of spaceship Earth ), the tragedy of the
commons , war

Comparing Two Views On Creation And God
A.) Two world views on creation were discussed by Lennox between the Israelites and the neighbors
of the Israelites. The first being, the Israelites believed that God created the world out of nothing yet
the neighbors of the Israelites believed that their gods created the world out of materials that were
already present. Israel believed God made humanity with purpose, great design, and good, whereas
Israel s neighbors thought that the gods created humanity as an afterthought, with little purpose, and
humans were made from the bad blood of an evil god, so they were not good. Lastly, Israelites
believed that God created the world to sustain on it s own, to continue to grow from itself and thrive,
yet their neighbors believed that after all of

  • 2. Jean-Jacques Rousseau s Film Triumph Of The Will In this day, an age that we call the 21st century, as of 2015 it is recorded that more than 150 million people are playing video games around the country. Video creators are just like movie directors they must get the plot for their story from somewhere. Introductory rationale: When it comes to social justice issues, most people believe the government needs to solve the problem. Social justice in sweatshops is no exception. In my research, I have found that what people see as the cause of injustice in developing countries, sweatshops, are actually what is responsible for lifting people up out of poverty. As a result, any sort of government regulation will fail to solve the problem. For example, in a Disney cartoon show, DuckTales which ran from 1987 to 1990, there are many moments in which the creators try to portray that capitalism is a better way of life compared to Socialism or Communism (Dofman and Mattelart, 1975). In the book, How to Read Donald Duck (1975), it is argued that the Donald Duck character is an excessively materialistic character which values money among other things (Dofman and Mattelart, 1975). The book also argues that there are multiple moments in the cartoon shows which shows that the characters are only successful in their career and ultimately their life after they are able to achieve great wealth while the poor and working class are looked down upon. Since the show was released towards the end of the Cold War, it could be said that the show was heavily influenced by the American economical ideology which is consumerism due to the United States being in the Capitalist bloc. Apart from the United States, the DuckTales show was also aired in other countries such as The United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia, it is clear that the show was made not only as a propaganda medium to influence to American people but also people worldwide, especially children into believing that Capitalism is the only way of life. Thus, it is only wise to theorise that the show could be created as a part of the Cold War itself as it undermines the Communism ideology that was practiced in Soviet Union during that time. • 6. Immune To Reality By Daniel Gilbert Summary Anybody can experience trauma, whether it s a man, a woman, or even a child. In fact, over half of the population is expected to experience trauma at least once in their lifetimes. However, everyone will respond to trauma in their own, unique, way, making it difficult to properly equip people with the tools needed to heal from trauma in the event they experience it. Whereas the responses a person and his or her body will have in the event of heart attack have been narrowed down to a small list, and can easily be conveyed to the public through general guidelines or PSAs, the responses a person will have to trauma can range anywhere from shrugging it off to suffering from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This is why the role of mental health professionals, such as therapists, is crucial in regards to helping sufferers of trauma. These professionals are specially trained to be capable of identifying and understanding the responses a person is having to a traumatic experience, as well as the optimal ways to go about the healing process. In Daniel Gilbert s Stumbling on Happiness, specifically the chapter titled Immune to Reality, he analyzes what he calls the psychological immune system, a defence mechanism of the psyche which plays a prominent role in how a person will respond in the event of trauma. While Gilbert outlines the mechanisms that cause people to respond to trauma in the way that they do, Dana Becker, author of One Nation Under Stress, looks at the actual ... The form of this advertisement reflects the artist s intentions of making the product, Heinz ketchup, seem healthier. Further, the implied shape of the ketchup bottle through stacked tomato slices is an innovative way for the artist to show that Heinz ketchup is made of just that, fresh tomatoes. Also, both the foreground and background use a very strong color palette of red and white with slight green accents to assist with the fresh feeling of the piece. • 8. Off Balance Research Paper Fundamentals of an Off Balance When I first joined judo I never expected to learn so many things in just a small timely manner. Within the first week I already learned how to do throws, takedowns, and submissions which were the basic essentials to mastering judo. Judo explained in the English dictionary means an unarmed combat intended to train the body and mind. The objective is to either throw or takedown an opponent to the ground, immobilize or otherwise subdue an opponent with a pin, or force an opponent to submit with a joint lock or a choke. As I continued on doing judo I could not figure out how to successfully execute a throw during the opponent s brief moment of off balance , until one of my upper classmate taught me how to do it correctly because it all depended entirely on timing. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It s a simple push, shove, or pull in a direction that will take the opponent off balance. In order to win, the opponent must be thrown with control, force, and on their back. By either pushing, shoving, or pulling an opponent off balance, the execution of the actual throw is made substantially easier since they will be leaning in that direction. Think of an off balance in Judo like pushing someone forward and quickly extending a foot out so that they trip and fall. This example shows how timing is everything, extend the foot too late after the push and they won t trip, too early and they might just stumble a bit. It s a crude example, but it shows the relationship between off balance and timing of the execution. Much like how one must quickly extend a foot at the right moment, a Judoka has but a few seconds to off balance and throw an opponent all in one continuous and fluid motion. The timing of the throw during the off balance will determine if it is successful. Without the off balance, a throw is conceivably possible yet substantially more difficult to pull ... However the satire is predominately light hearted, indicating Pope s optimistic and light hearted feelings towards the use of cosmetics in eighteenth century society. The satire Pope uses on cosmetics does not put a negative tone on the use of cosmetics, but rather puts into question Belinda s, and therefore other women s priorities. In Pope s poem, a bible as such belongs with puffs and patches. Keener s point in writing this is that Pope, by throwing in something as important as the bible with things as futile as puffs and powders and patches, is satirizing Belinda s priorities; for Belinda, religion is just as important as her appearance. Pope does not represent cosmetics as having a negative nature through his satire, but rather shows the futility of women caring as much about their appearance as they do about God. This is the only real satire Pope uses in relation to the use of cosmetics. It may be argued that Pope is using this to show the negative function of cosmetics in eighteenth century society in that it distracts women from God. However, vanity is something that can exist with or without the presence of cosmetics. Even in Eden, Eve was distracted by her own beauty, giving in to vanity. Therefore it would be fair to argue that this being the only presence of satire of cosmetics in The Rape of the Lock, Pope maintains his representation of the nature and ... Typically, customer, client, and contract projects are built as one time only, without reuse in mind, and tend to be tightly bound within themselves, without the more robust open interfaces which ease the reuse process. Therefore, in order to make the most of software reuse, the software development process must evolve to include reuse activities. A strong organizational foundation must exist for reuse to succeed, since domain engineering involves a different way of looking at software products, called a product line approach. In response, the Scottish Government (SDELG 2006) recommends that education for sustainable development should offer young people opportunities to practise and develop: sensitivity to and appreciation of the social and natural environment; some factual understanding of environmental and social problems and issues; knowledge/understanding of the social environment; skills to find out about and explore environmental issues; civic skills to influence decision‐making in society; researching and communicating information about one s own environment; improving one s own environment: acting responsibly; and critical reflection on the quality of environmental developments. • 22. Employee Rights Abstract The issue of employers and employees rights has always brought controversy in most companies. Some rights are expressly known like the right of employees to get paid after working for the agreed period of time among others. However, there are those things done by the employers that most employees feel are too private. Employees feel that some things done by the employers are an intrusion to their privacy. This paper will discuss issues on whether the employer has a right to review the employees email. It will look at both the employers and the employees perspective and what the law says about the issue. Introduction Employees and employers have reciprocated obligations towards each other. These duties are usually expressed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The law supports the claim that employees have a right to access employees emails, although most employees are of the opinion that their employers should not access their emails. The courts have not found any reasonable expectation for the employees to have privacy in the same and therefore, they have always granted permission to the employers to keep an eye on the employees activities as well as reviewing it. In a case of Smith v. Pillsbury Co., the plaintiff had sued the employer on the ground that he had wrongfully discharged him after the employer intercepted an email message he considered inappropriate (Jennings, 2005). Smith being an at will kind of employee, his suit centered on whether by being discharged, it went against Pennsylvania s public policy thereby falling into the exemption under the general rule which indicate that employees who are employed on the at will basis can have their employment terminated any time. The defendant was given motion from dismissal of the case since it failed to state a claim. The employer was therefore found not guilty of either invading the employees privacy or violating public policy when he terminated smith (Wolkinson Block, 1996). The employer had created email communication system but had told the employees that it was privileged and confidential. The employer also informed the workforce that their emails would not be intercepted ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 23. Respondnt Identification Report I would rule to revoke the Respondent s driver s license in this situation. Pursuant to C.R.S. § 42 4 1301.1(2)(a)(III), if a law enforcement officer requests a blood or breath test to determine the BAC level of a driver, the driver must cooperate with the request such that the sample of blood or breath can be obtained within two hours of the person s driving. Under this statute, a police officer with probable cause believing that a driver has committed an alcohol related driving offense may require the driver to select and to complete either a blood test or a breath test. After the driver selects a particular test, then he or she must submit to that test within two hours. Id.; People v. Null, 233 P.3d 670, 678 (Colo. 2010). C.R.S. § ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We do know the officer was dispatched to the scene at 5:50 PM and the test occurred at 7:15 PM. In this situation, two hours hadn t even passed since the officer knew of the incident, though possibly two hours from the Respondent driving. However, pursuant to Boom and Stumpf, as long as a request for the test is made within a reasonable time and the test occurs within two hours of that time, there should be no issue presented by these facts. In my opinion, the officer requested the test within a reasonable time from being dispatched to the scene, just over an hour after being dispatched. It is difficult to say with certainty based on these facts what occurred. While we do not need the law enforcement officer to be present at the hearing, see C.R.S. § 42 2 126(8)(a)(II), we do need the officer to submit all required documents and affidavit mandated by § 42 2 126(5)(a). For blood or breath tests administered to a driver suspected of drunk driving to be admissible in administrative proceedings regarding revocation of a driver s license, the tests must be administered in accordance with health department rules and regulations. Brewer v. Motor Vehicle Div., Dept. of Revenue, 720 P.2d 564, 568 (Colo. 1986). Therefore, in these circumstances I would rule to revoke Respondent s driver s license since his BAC was well over the legal limit of 0.08 and because the officer administered the test within a reasonable time. Even without the officer present to testify, there should be enough evidence presented for a revocation of the Respondent s license pursuant to C.R.S. § ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I do not think so. This is exactly why the first playoff of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) pitting the Peshawar Zalmi against Quetta Gladiators on February 19 was so satisfying. It had enough drama and plot twists to appease the most demanding punters. The PSL is a resounding success for a whole range of reasons, but to me, the last 20 minutes of this game encapsulated what is means to be a cricket fan in Pakistan and how international fixtures are poorer for not playing to packed stadiums in Karachi, Lahore or Rawalpindi. As fortunes seesawed in the homestretch, unsurprising since both Zalmi and Gladiators were easily the best teams through the tournament, cameras cut to rapt audience members revealing why the PSL is here to stay. In a Dubai Cricket Stadium heaving with emotion, a sizable number of patrons had their hands clasped in earnest prayer as both teams duked it out in the middle. Symbolism is an object or an idea that has a representation beyond the literal meaning of the object. The functions of symbols are to add meaning to the text and underline some subtle point the author is making, also to give the reader a clue about the mood of the story and what will happen. The symbols Lorraine Hansberry used in A Raisin in the Sun are the light, plant, and the window. The first analogies were pretty straightforward along the lines of leopard is to spotted as zebra is too striped but now I was in the tall weeds of nuance. As we all know, tests vary from straightforward, to mildly difficult, to just unforgiving and torture for the mind, but this is life and whether people like it or not, everybody has to take a test in their academic career. In specific, the quote at the start of the paragraph shows the author of Save Us From the SAT, explaining to the reader her struggles when she took the SAT or Scholastic Assessment Test. But not to worry because College Board announced in late March that they will be redesigning the SAT to make it, as they say, more high school oriented. The way the SAT is being changed is by making the essay optional, taking out the odd and unusual vocabulary words and replacing them with words that people use day to day life, allowing it to be taken on a computer, and most importantly not penalizing the test taker for getting the wrong answer. This all sounds fantastic, but there is one problem and that is that the new exam will be put into use in 2016. That is my problem, why would they make people suffer and make the test only available until 2016. Gender Roles In STEM Over the course of history, advances made by women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) have been overshadowed and downplayed due to a male dominant culture in these fields. The primary reason for these fields being dominated by males is the way women have been forced into gender roles over the course of history. Women with ambition to build, create, and discover have been discouraged from following their passions and are instead told to focus on raising their children. This discrimination has hurt the overall progress in scientific communities as it has limited women in the resources available to them and has forced them to work in the shadows. Many women end up surrounded by male peers with no one to relate to in their coursework. Women may find themselves isolated in their classes and unable to find academic organizations on campus that support women majoring in STEM. Being unrepresented in STEM academia and having a limited amount of peers to relate to leads to discouragement. Women also face harsher criticism due to male bias within the STEM communities. This criticism comes not only from their male peers, but from administrative staff at institutions as well. One study shows that many woman applying for STEM related scholarships have had to be up to 2.5 times more productive than men to be considered equally competent (Barres, 386). This is again due to the gender stereotypes that have become imbedded within society. This bias also means women pursuing STEM degrees are put at a disadvantage in regards to selective processes for internships and academic clubs. By constantly having to prove themselves and repeatedly being discouraged by their environment, women studying STEM have a much harder time than men staying motivated in their courses. This of course leads to lower grades and a greater likelihood of dropping out of their programs. In his speech The Present Situation and the Tasks Before Us, Deng Xiaoping emphasized the importance of economic reform: The superiority [of the socialist system] should manifest itself in many ways, but first and foremost it must be revealed in the rate of economic growth and in economic efficiency (Deng 1980). With this explicit commitment to growth, Deng links the political legitimacy of the CCP, as the monopolist of power within the PRC, to economic performance. Therefore, the inevitable economic slowdown in the PRC will undermine the legitimacy of the authoritarian CCP and force political liberalization. Given this statement, I suspect two major questions have arisen: (1) How is economic slowdown in China inevitable and (2) Could the CCP just adapt its basis of authoritarian legitimacy without political liberalization? I will address both questions in full after examining the history of economic reform in the PRC. Economic Growth in the PRC from 1978 to 2016 The story of economic reorganization starts in 1978 after the Cultural Revolution when Deng, acting as the paramount leader of the CCP, replaced collective farming with the household responsibility system in which farmers were allowed to sell extra grain on the open market.
