Courtroom Prosecuting
Original Title A Job worth doing, is worth doing well. Standing in my office helping businesses with
their contracts with one another or being able to stand in a courtroom prosecuting and saving a victim
from having their offender being let off easy brings me joy. Seeing that i have grown as an strong and
confident person who defends companies and the helpless victims who are not heard. To get to this
point it took a lot of work such as passing exams, gaining an four year degree from a university,
getting acceptance into law school, and also all the practicing needed.
Unquestionably educational requirements to be accepted into law school require being in rigorous
classes and passing tests to get accepted into law school. Must receive a ... Show more content on

Median annual wage for lawyers as of May 2016 sways around $118,160 (Occupational Outlook
Handbook). Salaries vary on the experience of the lawyer along with the size and location of the
employer. Those who own their very own law firm are said to earn less money than those who work
for a partnership law firm. Employment of lawyers is projected to grow six percent from 2014 to
2024, about as fast as the average for all occupations (Occupational Outlook Handbook). Percentage
rates of jobs growing for attorneys are at an high rate. Due to the demand for legal works lawyers are
expected to continue growing for individuals, businesses, and any other levels of legal services
needed. All these obstacles throughout an attorney s life requires hard work but is worth it in the end
due to the fact you know you did everything right.
As stated in the beginning A job worth doing, is worth doing well is explained throughout my paper of
how an lawyer responds to this truism. From law school to the real life is all about giving your all in
the job knowing your job is worth giving all the might in your body. Therefore becoming a lawyer

Concept Analysis
Management Focusing on Acute Pain: A Multidisciplinary Concept Analysis
The concept of managing acute pain is extremely significant to nursing as pain is one of the most
common problems for which patients seek out health care resources. Pain is a complex and abstract
concept that encompasses sensory, emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual perceptions of pain
that may occur in combination with physical pain. Pain is difficult to describe and often hard to
measure; although, most healthcare providers agree that pain is subjective and is to be measured
qualitatively and quantitatively as the patient perceives its intensity. Pain can affect the quality of life
of the individual by impacting them physically, emotionally, and ... Show more content on

Pain is described as a process instead of a sensation. Pain can be influenced by decreasing sensory
inputs, and changing behavioral cognitive factors. It was no longer necessary to differentiate between
organic and psychogenic pain. GCT is to be utilized as a multidisciplinary approach in pain
management along with CBT and pharmacological interventions. Defining pain from a psychological
perspective, it can be agreed that pain involves a physiological stimulus. The presence of a
physiological stimulus cannot determine the pain behavior. The impact of an individual s mood,
cognition, culture, social, and environmental influences need to be considered to view the totality of
the individual and pain management as a complete concept.
Medical Discipline
Upp, Kent, and Tighe (2013) in their review of the evolution of acute pain management (APM)
recognized that pain is no longer treated as a symptom but as a disease process. APM by
anesthesiologists broadened from the perioperative period to include interventional and
pharmaceutical treatment of non surgical pain in collaboration with chronic pain clinicians. In APM
the totality of the patient is treated through a multi modal and multidisciplinary approach.
Interventional pain management, opioid pharmaceuticals and their adjuncts, regional anesthesia, and

Media s Influence On Politics In The United States

Media In Politics
Over the past thirty years there has been an increase in power throughout the media with regard to
politics. The original purpose of the media was to inform the public about relevant events that occured
around the country regarding politics in the United States. The job of the media is to search out the
truth and relay that news to the people. The media has the power to inform the people but often times
the stories given to the people are distorted for one reason or another whether they are good or bad for
the candidates. Media is now not only Newspapers, radio, magazines, etc but now media includes
social media applications such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc where Media is now not only used

Some candidates have enough money to sponsor their own campaign without the help of anyone such
as in the 2016 elections where Donald Trump announced that he himself will be sponsoring everything
that he does with his own money while the other candidate, Bernie Sanders, needed as much of the
help that he could receive because unlike Trump, Bernie was not a millionaire with much spending
money. In the 2008 Presidential Election, Barack Obama changed the face of politics. Obama s
campaign tapped into social media to mobilize supporters and raise funds in a way that the world had
never seen before. Bernie also resorted to the starting fundraisers through the media to help fund his
campaign. The media is a great source to begin fundraisers for a good cause because people who did
not have Bernie directly can always see the link to the fundraiser as someone shares it through social
media. After the New Hampshire primary victory Bernie Sanders announced that he was going to start
a fundraiser so that people could contribute to his campaign and allow him to continue. He urged his
supporters to visit his website and make a donation whether it s $10

RSPCA Techniques
In this essay, I ll be analysing a plethora of techniques used in an RSPCA letter: emotive language,
anecdotes, repetition, direct address, imperatives and statistics. The purpose of this text is to persuade
us to donate £3 a month and each technique assists that. Firstly, the text uses emotive language to
make the reader feel sorrowful and sympathetic towards the animals: cold and trembling . The reader
will be influenced by these words as they create a picture in their mind of how dreadful the situation
is. There can be numerous effects when it comes to this technique a reason why the text heavily
utilises it. For example, horrible neglected can cause feelings of melancholy to frustration. It
highlights the cruel behaviour of bullies . ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, I believe the combination of emotive language and anecdotes is what will influence the
reader the most because they have the widest range of effects: guilt, fury, regret or misery. The
anecdote then provides a real example of what the RSPCA does and the reader will appreciate the
insight. These outcomes are achieved by making every story even more tragic with the use of emotive
language: heartless , terrified and callousness . Additionally, these words will tap into the reader s state
and make them associate those bad feelings with not

The Witch
The children disappeared into vapor as she continued to tumble and by the third to last step of the
staircase the knife was firmly working its way up through the witch s jaw inching its way closer to its
hilt. Soon it completely severed her tongue, and making its way into her sinuses. With the pressure put
on the knife from being slammed into the second to last step, the knife began cutting into her brain.
With the last step it entered her brain fully. Then, when the witch had finally hit the floor of the
landing, the knife buried itself wholly in her skull like it had entered into its protective sheath. By the
time it was finished it had severed her brain in two, only stopping because its hilt had finally reached

Hornpipe Dance History
The hornpipe is a musical instrument and dance from the fifteen century , it has inspired many
different european musical stylings since it s inception. Many different people have used the hornpipe
and it s musical styling as influence for their music. Musicians have used the hornpipe to inform their
musical style from the late fifteen century to the modern time. The influence of the hornpipe can be
seen as recently as the Drop Kick Murphy s rendition of Shipping up to Boston. Hornpipe is an
obsolete reed instrument with a mouthpiece made of horn. To me that seems like a broad definition
you could think of a clarinet, rig and other instruments. The shape of this instrument is like a half

Polka is used as the first movements since the decks were pretty small they used this movement to
make room for the next steps. Arms fold is a technique that was created from the way soldiers would
carry their clean laundry. Since their hands were always filled with tar and dirt they would fold their
arms and hide the palms inside to keep the laundry clean. Cable Haul, this movement was used to pull
cable back and forth. Look Out by the name I am sure you can guess what kind of gesture you would
make. It is the same as if you were looking for attackers, you look outwards and put your hand up to
shade your eyes from the sun. The Pump technique uses a lot of bold movements with your arms, as
though your pumping a tire with air. When doing the move called hoisting the sail you need to
imagine yourself as a sailor literally hoisting the sail, you have to show the strength needed to hoist
the ropes after a long day at sea. All of these moves are used on a daily basis for sailors so I am
assuming it is a lot easier for them to perform the proper steps. Hornpipes can often be mixed up with
a few other types of dance for instance the jig is the most commonly mistaken for a hornpipe. Another
dance that is often confused with it is schottische both dances have a hippy hop to them and the tune is
very similar. There are many dances and instruments that can be confused with

Austin s Theory Of Speech Act Theory
Austin s Speech Act Theory
In 1994 the philosopher John L. Austin had investigated the various aspects of speech acts. Speech
acts theory is a subfield of pragmatics concerned with the ways in which words can be used not only
to present information but also to carry out actions (http://grammar.about.com/). In other words,
Speech act is function based on the goal of communication. According to Austin, there are three kinds
of speech acts, namely locutionary act, illocutionary act, and perlocutionary act. Three of them have
correlation to each other. In order to explain what can go wrong with statements we cannot just
concentrate on the proposition involved as has been done traditionally. We must consider the total
situation in which the utterance is issued the total speech act if we are to see the parallel between
statements and performative utterances, and how each can go wrong. Therefore, the total speech act in
the total speech situation is emerging from logic piecemeal as important in special cases: and thus we
are assimilating the supposed constative utterance to the performative. ... Show more content on

21 Day Challenge Research Paper
The 21 day challenge was a great experience for me, and I think it overall made me a happier person.
It was easiest for me to just set apart a time each night to journal about a positive experience, write
down three things I am grateful for, and pray. For me writing three things I was grateful for each day
was the aspect of this challenge that increased my happiness the most. It is easy for me to just think
about all the negative aspects of my life and not really think about all the positives, so by writing them
down each day it made me realize how much I have to be grateful for. I realized that most of the day I
would focus on the bad things that happened, so it was nice to focus on all the good parts of my life.

Most of the time there are million things going on, so a few minutes to not think about things like
work and school was very relaxing or me. Overall I don t think praying made me much happier, but it
did help me because it was a time to just be alone with my thoughts. Completing a random act of
kindness each day was somewhat challenging at first because I would forget about doing it, and I
would remember later at night and have to do something before going to bed. However later in the
challenge I found it much easier to remember to complete these random acts of kindness. After
completing these acts of kindness, I felt much happier because it is a good feeling knowing you have
helped someone. I felt good knowing that I helped someone or made their day a little better. Overall, I
think this challenge increased my level of happiness because it made me realize I have a lot to be
thankful for, and there are many more positives in my life than what I realized. When I looked through
my notebook consisting of the positive experiences and the 3 things I was grateful for it was very nice
that instead of just remembering the bad things that happened those days I now can remember the
good things. I have a lot more to be happy about than I thought I did going into this challenge. I now
find myself realizing things that I am grateful for more often and

Melia In The Ruined Maid
Throughout the poem, The Ruined Maid , Melia who represents the ruined maid literally shows us a
different version of what it means to be ruined. A former country maiden, now turned into an
illustrious town girl, Melia, happens to meet with an old friend of hers who is from the country like
her. Being a country girl, she is filled with admiration and envy upon seeing Melia as though she was
seeing her in a new light. When Melia is asked by her friend as to how she became so prosperous,
Melia in turn asks her if she hadn t known that Melia had been ruined. Melia s friend then points out
various instances of the life that Melia had lived through as a country girl. If we were to put ourselves
in the place of Melia s friend and compare our lives with Melia s, we might just appear to be finding
ourselves more ruined than Melia : You left us in tatters, without shoes or socks (line 5 ) . ... Show

When asked about the changes in manner of her speech from an ordinary country style talk to talking
in words that seem suited mostly for those of high class status, Melia replied : Some polish is gained

mannerism of speaking, she eventually acquires this high taste. Melia s physical transformation also
astonishes her friend since Melia s hands had changed from being country or farm hands to those like
a lady as well as a beautiful change in Melia s facial complexion. Melia indicates that another
advantage of being ruined is not having to do any work like her friend. Melia also seems to be more
lively than as though she had never experienced sadness in her life : True. One s pretty lively when

Why Is Mrs Dalloway Separated From Death
In the story Mrs. Dalloway, the theme of death is extremely prevalent, but one character that is
separate from that theme, essentially until the end of the book, Clarissa. Clarissa never faces death;
despite, that she is living in a world that is so close to WWII. Why is Clarissa so separated from death
in the story? Clarrisa lives her life isolated from the world of death; she goes on to her parties and
other social events like they are the only important thing in the world. Then at the end of the book,
during the part she has spent so much time and effort on, the only thing that the people are talking
about is some random guy that killed himself. At first, it looks as if Clarissa is outraged at the idea that
someone would do such a thing to ruin her party, but then something happens. Clarissa embraces the
concept of death in a Poe esk manner, Death was defiance. Death was an attempt to communicate;
people feeling the impossibility of reaching the center which, mystically, evaded them; closeness drew
apart; rapture faded, one was alone. There was an embrace in death (Woolf 180). That seems strange,
that someone how has been so far from death in the scope of the book would suddenly find such an
embrace in it. Then, could it be that because Clarissa has been separated from ... Show more content

of her life playing a role and never actually allow herself to be of her true nature. From what Clarissa

Not For All The Tea
Not for all the tea in China is a popular phrase in the Victorian era. When Britain prevailed tea, the
most of the tea was from China. Thus, if I give all the Chinese tea to you and you do not want it, this
can tell how determined you are. American writer Sarah Rose wrote a book named For All the Tea in
China describes a period of time in the mid 1800s how the British Empire stole tea from China. The
main character Robert Fortune was hired by the East India Company to steal the secrets of tea
horticulture and manufacturing. The Scotsman donned a camouflage and headed into the Wu Si Shan
hills in a bold act of corporate espionage.
In the early 19th Century, Britain s dependence on Chinese tea was caused trade deficit. Britain and
China are conflicting the viewpoint of justice trade in the foreign nationals. Thus, before the war
start,England provided China with opium, grown in India. so then East India Company ship opium to
China; China provided England with the tea. The East India Company though if they know how to
plant the tea, they could produce tea in India instead. The problem was that the best tea all came from
China, and the Chinese tea growers were the only ones who truly knew how to make it good. Thus, to
accomplish this task, Scottish botanist Fortune (Robert Fortune) put on Chinese clothing , hired a
Chinese coolie attendant, went deep into the Chinese interior, to the best green tea and black tea

Concentration Of Sucrose Lab Report

Using different concentrations of sucrose affecting movement of water in and out of dialysis tube to
find the concentration of an unknown solution
Introduction
This experiments attempts to find how different concentrations of sucrose affect the amount of
osmosis that occurs in a dialysis tubing and finally to find concentration of the unknown sucrose
solution. The dialysis tubing represents a cell with a semi permeable membrane therefore water with
along with some other substances are able to move. A gradient is exist when there is an uneven
distributions. Gradients exist in these sucrose concentrations which are hypotonic when placed in
distilled water as there is higher concentration of water outside ... Show more content on

The higher concentrations of sucrose, more water will move inside the dialysis tubes at a faster rate.
Therefore dialysis bag with higher concentrations of sucrose will have greater difference in mass over
time and thus a greater rate of osmosis. The variables were controlled by keeping the amount of
sucrose concentration to be at 20 ml and the distilled water to be at 200 ml. Weight balance was
covered to stop letting the air affect the weight of each bags. Although the data supports my
hypothesis, there has been outliers. For example, in the control group there happens to be osmosis
going on but at a smaller rate than the other concentrations. This wasn t supposed to happen because
due to isotonic nature of solution. This might have been due to excess water in dialysis bag. Since this
experiment heavily relies on the handling of the experiments, errors could have easily occurred. The
dialysis might not have been properly dried. One of the example of this 2% sucrose having 21.4 grams
at 30 minutes from 21.9 grams at 20 minutes. The air conditioner could have affected the results
during the data collection phase although steps were taken to prevent this from happening. Not having
the same experimenter for the dialysis bag might have affected the results. Not tying the dental floss
tightly may have caused the loss in mass for certain bags. Errors could have occurred from the time it
took to out the bag from the distilled

Schema, Assimilation, And Accommodation
The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the application of 3 key cognitive terms, Schema,
Assimilation, and Accommodation, to the author s experience of military medical training. First, the
author will briefly explain each term. Next, the author will describe how these terms can be
experienced with military medical training as an instructor. A schema is a state of understanding to
which our beliefs are formed and a framework is established. This framework is a direct template of
how we see everything in the world. When we are learning about a dog we take its traits and form a
schema. Those traits are as such: ears, four legs, and licks. Dale Doty states (2013, 0:39) we then use
the schema we have developed as a means to compare new information against. Now when we are
faced with new animals we then use our schemas to see if it fits under any of those templates we have
already created. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

How Did Adrienne Rich Claim My Education
When speaking at Mills college in 1977, Adrienne Rich admonished the new graduates to claim their
education rather than expecting to receive it. The difference in language between active and passive
voice really gets to her point. Some may settle for using the passive voice, I was educated by San Jose
State University , but Adrienne rich s advice is to use the active voice, I claimed my education at San
Jose State University . In the next four years, by using the skills I learn at San Jose State, I plan to
actively claim my education. As Adrienne Rich spoke to a college full of women, she continuously
pointed out that education is not something to take for granted, and should not be looked at passively.
Education is a responsibility she remarked, Responsibility to yourself means that you don t fall for
shallow and easy solutions. On the other hand, the Youtube video shows a student who does not take
responsibility for their education, and basically exemplifies the student Adrienne Rich advises against.
During the time of Adrienne Rich s speech in the 1970 s, The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) ...

The Problem Of Pressure Ulcer Prevention
Conceptual Framework A framework is an abstract, logical structure of meaning, which guides the
development of the study and enables the researcher to link the findings to nursing s body of
knowledge. Every study has a framework, and in this study it is explicitly expressed. Drake and
colleagues (2012) inductively have studied and surveyed subjects on the matter of pressure ulcer
prevention. The concepts in the framework are (a) pediatric nurses knowledge of pressure ulcer
prevention, (b) beliefs and practices, (c) barriers and facilitators to providing evidence based pressure
ulcer preventive practices. Operational and conceptual definitions are used and are consistently
associated with one another. It is implied that enhancing nurses knowledge base, disseminating
guidelines, and generally improving the practices of nurses working with patients at risk for impaired
skin integrity will significantly enhance the quality of life for the patients.
Methods
The methods section of a research report tells the reader how the study was conducted, and it should
include the design of the study, ethical value of the study, sampling size, the measurements, and the
data that they collected. The study design of this article is an exploratory, descriptive study in which
they used a cross sectional survey. In an inpatient setting at a freestanding academic Midwestern
children s hospital, Drake and colleagues (2012) used a sample size of 348 acute care nurses. This

The Onion Skinss From The Onion Candles
These are the onion skins from the onion patch. If it was not for the onions that came from these skins,
Kit would have never gone through the Great Meadow to get to work in the onion patch with Judith.
Without Kit taking this path she would never have even met the witch of Blackbird Pond, Hannah
Tupper. Kit would have never gone back to the meadow to weep when she was sorrowful, and
Prudence would not have learned to read or write. At first, Kit despised working to grow the onions
from these onion skins, she was glad that she did.
This is one of the last remaining pieces of The Dolphin. Without each piece of The Dolphin Kit would
not have made it from Barbados to Saybrook to Wethersfield, New England. Kit also would never

This tattered page of the Bible showed how much John was willing to change Dr. Bulkeley. The verses
that he was asked to read was Proverbs 24:21 22 My son, fear the Lord and the King, and meddle not
with them that are given to change, for their calamity shall rise suddenly, and who knoweth the ruin of
them both? This verse made Kit s uncle, Matthew Wood, upset because he did not not like loyalist or
someone devoted to the King of England. This is not only an important page of the Bible for the
Woods family, but for everybody at the time because it could have easily persuaded Christians all over
to be devoted to the king.
This is the piece of paper from Prudence s book in which she practiced her writing. This was almost
used to convict Kit, but was eventually used to prove her innocence. This piece of paper may seem
unimportant, but to Prudence it meant the world to prove her rotten mother wrong. It shows that
Prudence is smart. This paper served many purposes to the lives of Prudence and Kit.
This is Kit s little silver hornbook that taught Prudence Cruff to read and write against her mother s
wishes. It was found in the ruins of the house fire with the initials K.T. engraved on it. It caused Kit to
be accused of the crime of witchcraft. Kit was thrown in an improper jail and almost branded. It is
crazy how this little hornbook that was used for good was so close to causing something so

Normal Heart Rate Chart
Normal Heart Rate Chart
The heart is an organ located just behind and slightly to the left of the breastbone, and pumps blood
through a network of veins and arteries known as the circulatory system. The right atrium is sent
blood from the veins, and delivers it to the right ventricle. It is then pumped to the lungs where it is
oxygenated. The left atrium collects the oxygen enriched blood from the lungs and delivers it to the
left ventricle, where it is pumped throughout the body, and the ventricle contractions create blood
pressure.
A pulse is the beating of the heart as it is felt through the walls of an artery, such as the radial artery at
the wrist. Pulse rates can also be felt and measured at the carotid artery located on the side of ... Show

Heart Rate During Exercise
Your maximum heart rate is the highest heart rate that is achieved during strenuous exercise. One
method to calculate your approximate maximum heart rate is the formula: 220 (your age) =
approximate maximum heart rate. For example, a 30 year old s approximate maximum heart rate is
220 30 = 190 beats/min.
You can maximize the benefits and reduce the risks when you are exercising within your target heart
rate zone. Your target heart rate when exercising is normally 60 to 80 percent of your maximum heart
rate. This may be increased or decreased depending on your health factors, and your health care
provider may want you to limit the target heart rate zone to 50 percent. However, it is not
recommended to exceed 85 percent of your maximum heart rate. Anything above 85 percent increase
risks to the orthopedic and cardiovascular system, with minimal added benefits from the exercise.
Normal Maximum and Target Heart Rate Chart
The following table shows the approximate target heart rates for various age groups. Find the age
group closest to your age and find your target heart rate. The guidelines for moderately intense
activities is about 50 69% of your maximum heart rate, and hard physical activity is about 70% to less
than 90% of the maximum heart

Technology Is A Hindrance In Modern Society
In the 21st Century many individuals argue that technology has made life easier and assist humans by
increased efficiency and productivity. However, they fail to realize that although technology has
become a cornerstone in modern society, it has also become a hindrance in many aspects. The
dictionary defines technology as the machinery and equipment developed from the application of
scientific knowledge. Scientific inventions are man made, as a result, it is flawed and has its adverse
effects. The advancement of technology has damaged society. It has prompted human beings to be less
physically active, which in turn decreases human to human interactions and as a result of individuals
being smart device stricken, it jeopardizes their privacy and safety.
Presently, the advancement of technology has resulted in the decrease of physical activity. Humans
have become lazy because they are overly dependent on their handheld devices. Which in turn results
in the decrease of brain power and human intellect. Many people do not take the liberty to learn
anything anymore because it is easily accessible on their smart devices. Knowledge, information and
just about anything else is at the hands of the common man by way of technology. Therefore, there is
no need for humans to do the extra. Information is accessed in 2.5 seconds via the world wide web.
Scholars do not even bother buying the newspaper, books or any educational material anymore.
Individuals can lie down in their beds and

Great Power, Great Responsibility
Great Power, Great Responsibility Chances are you have or know someone that has a family member
suffering from Alzheimer s disease. It s effects are heartbreaking and awful for all involved, but what
if Alzheimer s disappeared from the world? Due to recent technological innovations, gene editing
could soon be used to cure genetic diseases like Alzheimer s. In the film Jurassic Park the character
Dr. Ian Malcolm said ... scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn t

Zoologist Dr. Weizhi Ji theorizes that this technology will be used to extend the human lifespan (481).
Extending lifespans is an example of unneeded editing, and would increase the tremendous pressure
on the already strained healthcare systems of the world, as well as the social security system in the
United States. Likewise, removing genetic diseases would remove some pressure from the world
healthcare systems; those that would be born with diseases would be born without them and any
treatment they would have needed would be futile. Editing genes brings along with it a whole new set
of benefits and drawbacks, by only allowing edits for genetic diseases and birth defects the amount of
drawbacks is reduced drastically. Gene editing is brand new and there is no way to see all of it s
effects, but starting by only allowing the most vital edits the world is given a small but sufficient
platform to analyze the effects of this new technology.
Evolution is when an organism develops a trait which is useful to it in it s environment, and then
passes it onto its offspring. These traits give that organism an advantage over other organisms of it s
species, and usually in the wild it leads to the demise of the other, now separate, species. Gene editing
is similar to evolution, but it will not likely lead to the extinction of unaltered humans. It can,
however, create a divide between two distinct species. Humans

Dna Profiling And The National Dna Database System
Part B: Report
DNA Profiling: Is it ethical to have national DNA database system?
Introduction: Today, the advancing gene technology provides humanity with numerous benefits such
as Genetically Modified Food, CRISPER, and one of them is the use of DNA profiling for storing bio
information. DNA fingerprint technology allows mapping of individual s genetic patterns that can be
stored into the database system (What is DNA fingerprint? 2016). The ability to profile gene
effectively, DNA fingerprinting is used as a problem solving tool in the justice system and medical
science researches. At the same time, ethical and social issues such as privacy violations, human rights
and the possibility of discrimination cannot be ignored.
Biological Background: It is scientifically proven that DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) contains genetic
material and highly specific to individual. DNA fingerprint can be tested by restriction fragment
length polymorphism (RFLP) methods and Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) methods. Although
RFLP is considered more accurate, due to the cost and requirement of longer period to complete, it is
not commonly used. While only 1% of genetic materials are unique to individual, the short tandem
repeats (STR) sequences called minisatellites can be used to distinguish all humans as it shows great
variation between each person (What is DNA fingerprint? 2016).
DNA fingerprinting technique involves a number of steps. The DNA sample from fluid, hair or any

Claudius as Evil in Hamlet by William Shakespeare Essay
Claudius as Evil in Hamlet by William Shakespeare
The abstract concept of evil has vastly transformed throughout human history, ranging for the
supernatural and mystical to the very humans amongst whom we live. In modern times, evil has
become an entirely ambiguous term. Who is evil? What is evil? Men like Adolph Hitler and Saddam
Hussein have been garnered with the term evil for their atrocities against fellow humans. Now it
seems evil has a solely human significance; when a person violates the individual rights of others on a
massive scale, he/she is evil. In Shakespeare s time the Elizabethan era evil had a similar, but
somewhat altered connotation in the human mind. Evil was an entity that violated the English

Claudius propensity towards fabrications is in direct violation with the Holy Commandment Thou
shalt not bear false witness; hence, he violates one of the pillars of Christian moral law.
Claudius lies are effective enough to persistently deceive to play s antagonist, Hamlet. Despite Hamlet
s disgust with Claudius for marrying Gertrude, and his view of Claudius as a king of shreds and
patches (III.iv.104), Hamlet suspicion of Claudius as a murderer is preliminarily nonexistent. The
appearance of a spirit claiming to be Hamlet s dead father first alerts Hamlet to the actions of that
incestuous, that adulterate beast, /With witchcraft of his with, with traitorous gifts (I.v.42 3). And yet
still, Hamlet remains hesitant to believe that Claudius was the murderer, searching for complementary
evidence. The play that Hamlet enacts designed to catch the conscience of the king (II.ii.562) succeeds
in revealing Claudius guilt, but does not provoke instant action on Hamlet s part. So effective is
Claudius manipulation of the royal circle that he manages to almost permanently stay the revelation of
his guilt, and if it weren t for supernatural intervention against an injustice, he may never have been
exposed.
The most odious of Claudius crimes is his lack of emotion over his

Empirical Formula Of Zinc Iodide Lab Report
Introduction: The main purpose of this experiment is to determine the empirical formula of zinc
iodide, and in addition, validate the law of conservation of mass by precisely determining the
quantities of reactants and products. Empirical formula is the simplest type of chemical formula. The
simplest ratio of the number of atoms of each element in the compound is determined by the empirical
formal of a compound. Typically the ratio provided by the empirical formula contains whole numbers.
On the other hand, there are molecular formulas in which gives the definite number of atoms of the
element. Glucose (sugar) has a molecular formula of C6H12O6 and an empirical formula of CH2 O.

Next, a glass stirring rod was used periodically in which dissolved the iodine. It continued to boil for
about twenty minutes and at this point in the boiling process the dark brown color of the dissolved
iodine subsided and this was an indication that displayed that the reaction had been complete. At this
moment, there was observable unreacted zinc granules in which remained at the base of the flask. The
reaction was then completed and the flask was removed from the hot plate using tongs, the aluminum
foil used to cover the top of the flask was removed. Following that a 250 mL beaker was clean, dried
and then weighed. After doing that the mass of the empty beaker was recorded. Then a glass rod was
placed across the neck of the flask and poured out into a beaker in which was previously weighed, and
left the unreacted zinc in the flask. The zinc was washed with 5mL portions of methanol. When doing
this each time the glass stringing rod was used in order to mix the contents of the flask in a thorough
manner while the washings were poured into the previously weighed

Agape By Greek Summary
Slide 1:
Nisan
In English, there is only one word for love. In Greek, there are three. Eros is the physical love, Philia
is brotherly love, or sisterly love shared amongst siblings and close friends. Agape is a love that gives
and asks nothing in return.
All three can be experienced in different varieties, but each carries great burdens. Eros must remember
that the other is a living, breathing being, not just an object. Philia must not take unjust, selfish
advantage of the other. Agape does all those things above and much more, with no expectation of
return. Agape is a love that does not require that the other should meet high standards of beauty, nor of
brains, nor of brawn. Agape gives without question, or reason, a God love, you might say, something
that Hephaestus wasn t seen as worthy of.

unheard of, outlandish, something a leader would do.
Some legends say, Hephaestus built a palace among the Lemnains, cocooned under a volcano, some

He grew up with them, acting as a blacksmith, given his powers were of that regard, until he found out

Discrete Wavelet Transform for Compressing and Decompressing the Speech Signal Bhavana Pujari1,
Prof. S.S.Gundal2 Abstract: The original digital speech signal contains tremendous measure of
memory, the main concept for the speech compression algorithm is presented here, in which bit rate of
the speech signal is reduced with maintaining signal quality for storage, memory saving or
transmission over the long distance. The concentration of this project is to compact the digital speech
signal using Discrete Wavelet Transform and reconstruct same signal using inverse transform, in
.NET. The algorithm of Compression is oriented in three basic operation, they are apply the DWT,
Threshold, Encode the signal for transmission Analysis of compression procedure is done by
comparing the original speech and reconstructed signal. The main advantages of DWT provides
variable compression factor. Keywords: Bit rate, Compression, Decompression, Discrete Wavelet

  • 3. Concept Analysis Management Focusing on Acute Pain: A Multidisciplinary Concept Analysis The concept of managing acute pain is extremely significant to nursing as pain is one of the most common problems for which patients seek out health care resources. Pain is a complex and abstract concept that encompasses sensory, emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual perceptions of pain that may occur in combination with physical pain. Pain is difficult to describe and often hard to measure; although, most healthcare providers agree that pain is subjective and is to be measured qualitatively and quantitatively as the patient perceives its intensity. Pain can affect the quality of life of the individual by impacting them physically, emotionally, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Pain is described as a process instead of a sensation. Pain can be influenced by decreasing sensory inputs, and changing behavioral cognitive factors. It was no longer necessary to differentiate between organic and psychogenic pain. GCT is to be utilized as a multidisciplinary approach in pain management along with CBT and pharmacological interventions. Defining pain from a psychological perspective, it can be agreed that pain involves a physiological stimulus. The presence of a physiological stimulus cannot determine the pain behavior. The impact of an individual s mood, cognition, culture, social, and environmental influences need to be considered to view the totality of the individual and pain management as a complete concept. Medical Discipline Upp, Kent, and Tighe (2013) in their review of the evolution of acute pain management (APM) recognized that pain is no longer treated as a symptom but as a disease process. APM by anesthesiologists broadened from the perioperative period to include interventional and pharmaceutical treatment of non surgical pain in collaboration with chronic pain clinicians. In APM the totality of the patient is treated through a multi modal and multidisciplinary approach. Media s Influence On Politics In The United States Edgar Gomez AP Government March 11, 2018 Period 2 Media In Politics Over the past thirty years there has been an increase in power throughout the media with regard to politics. The original purpose of the media was to inform the public about relevant events that occured around the country regarding politics in the United States. The job of the media is to search out the truth and relay that news to the people. The media has the power to inform the people but often times the stories given to the people are distorted for one reason or another whether they are good or bad for the candidates. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some candidates have enough money to sponsor their own campaign without the help of anyone such as in the 2016 elections where Donald Trump announced that he himself will be sponsoring everything that he does with his own money while the other candidate, Bernie Sanders, needed as much of the help that he could receive because unlike Trump, Bernie was not a millionaire with much spending money. In the 2008 Presidential Election, Barack Obama changed the face of politics. Obama s campaign tapped into social media to mobilize supporters and raise funds in a way that the world had never seen before. Bernie also resorted to the starting fundraisers through the media to help fund his campaign. The media is a great source to begin fundraisers for a good cause because people who did not have Bernie directly can always see the link to the fundraiser as someone shares it through social media. After the New Hampshire primary victory Bernie Sanders announced that he was going to start a fundraiser so that people could contribute to his campaign and allow him to continue. He urged his supporters to visit his website and make a donation whether it s $10 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The purpose of this text is to persuade us to donate £3 a month and each technique assists that. Firstly, the text uses emotive language to make the reader feel sorrowful and sympathetic towards the animals: cold and trembling . The reader will be influenced by these words as they create a picture in their mind of how dreadful the situation is. Look Out by the name I am sure you can guess what kind of gesture you would make. It is the same as if you were looking for attackers, you look outwards and put your hand up to shade your eyes from the sun. The Pump technique uses a lot of bold movements with your arms, as though your pumping a tire with air. When doing the move called hoisting the sail you need to imagine yourself as a sailor literally hoisting the sail, you have to show the strength needed to hoist the ropes after a long day at sea. All of these moves are used on a daily basis for sailors so I am assuming it is a lot easier for them to perform the proper steps. Hornpipes can often be mixed up with a few other types of dance for instance the jig is the most commonly mistaken for a hornpipe. Another dance that is often confused with it is schottische both dances have a hippy hop to them and the tune is very similar. There are many dances and instruments that can be confused with ... • 12. Austin s Theory Of Speech Act Theory Austin s Speech Act Theory In 1994 the philosopher John L. Austin had investigated the various aspects of speech acts. Speech acts theory is a subfield of pragmatics concerned with the ways in which words can be used not only to present information but also to carry out actions (http://grammar.about.com/). In other words, Speech act is function based on the goal of communication. According to Austin, there are three kinds of speech acts, namely locutionary act, illocutionary act, and perlocutionary act. Three of them have correlation to each other. In order to explain what can go wrong with statements we cannot just concentrate on the proposition involved as has been done traditionally. We must consider the total situation in which the utterance is issued the total speech act if we are to see the parallel between statements and performative utterances, and how each can go wrong. Therefore, the total speech act in the total speech situation is emerging from logic piecemeal as important in special cases: and thus we are assimilating the supposed constative utterance to the performative. ... It was easiest for me to just set apart a time each night to journal about a positive experience, write down three things I am grateful for, and pray. For me writing three things I was grateful for each day was the aspect of this challenge that increased my happiness the most. It is easy for me to just think about all the negative aspects of my life and not really think about all the positives, so by writing them down each day it made me realize how much I have to be grateful for. Completing a random act of kindness each day was somewhat challenging at first because I would forget about doing it, and I would remember later at night and have to do something before going to bed. However later in the challenge I found it much easier to remember to complete these random acts of kindness. After completing these acts of kindness, I felt much happier because it is a good feeling knowing you have helped someone. I felt good knowing that I helped someone or made their day a little better. Overall, I think this challenge increased my level of happiness because it made me realize I have a lot to be thankful for, and there are many more positives in my life than what I realized. When I looked through my notebook consisting of the positive experiences and the 3 things I was grateful for it was very nice that instead of just remembering the bad things that happened those days I now can remember the good things. A former country maiden, now turned into an illustrious town girl, Melia, happens to meet with an old friend of hers who is from the country like her. Being a country girl, she is filled with admiration and envy upon seeing Melia as though she was seeing her in a new light. When Melia is asked by her friend as to how she became so prosperous, Melia in turn asks her if she hadn t known that Melia had been ruined. Melia s friend then points out various instances of the life that Melia had lived through as a country girl. Clarissa never faces death; despite, that she is living in a world that is so close to WWII. Why is Clarissa so separated from death in the story? Clarrisa lives her life isolated from the world of death; she goes on to her parties and other social events like they are the only important thing in the world. Then at the end of the book, during the part she has spent so much time and effort on, the only thing that the people are talking about is some random guy that killed himself. At first, it looks as if Clarissa is outraged at the idea that someone would do such a thing to ruin her party, but then something happens. Clarissa embraces the concept of death in a Poe esk manner, Death was defiance. Death was an attempt to communicate; people feeling the impossibility of reaching the center which, mystically, evaded them; closeness drew apart; rapture faded, one was alone. Thus, if I give all the Chinese tea to you and you do not want it, this can tell how determined you are. American writer Sarah Rose wrote a book named For All the Tea in China describes a period of time in the mid 1800s how the British Empire stole tea from China. The main character Robert Fortune was hired by the East India Company to steal the secrets of tea horticulture and manufacturing. For example, in the control group there happens to be osmosis going on but at a smaller rate than the other concentrations. This wasn t supposed to happen because due to isotonic nature of solution. This might have been due to excess water in dialysis bag. Since this experiment heavily relies on the handling of the experiments, errors could have easily occurred. • 33. Agape By Greek Summary Slide 1: Nisan In English, there is only one word for love. In Greek, there are three. Eros is the physical love, Philia is brotherly love, or sisterly love shared amongst siblings and close friends. Agape is a love that gives and asks nothing in return. All three can be experienced in different varieties, but each carries great burdens. Eros must remember that the other is a living, breathing being, not just an object. Philia must not take unjust, selfish advantage of the other. Agape does all those things above and much more, with no expectation of return. Agape is a love that does not require that the other should meet high standards of beauty, nor of brains, nor of brawn. Agape gives without question, or reason, a God love, you might say, something that Hephaestus wasn t seen as worthy of. Slide 2: Hephaestus: a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Spending twenty four hours falling down to Earth, he landed on the island of Lemnos. Intrigued by the strange immortal, the inhabitants sought him out, and took care of him in his crippled state. Indebted to their care, he taught the Lemnians his gift of metal work and the arts. The island was hereafter his home, Hephaestus worked with the mortals, something practically novel among other gods, something unheard of, outlandish, something a leader would do. Some legends say, Hephaestus built a palace among the Lemnains, cocooned under a volcano, some say he lived among the villagers as nothing but their equal. He grew up with them, acting as a blacksmith, given his powers were of that regard, until he found out what had caused him to be thrown from Mount Olympus, where the others of his kind reside. He had been rejected; thrown from his home because of something as trivial as beauty. He had been ridiculed for his disability. He was not cared for by the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Discrete Wavelet Transform For Compressing And... Discrete Wavelet Transform for Compressing and Decompressing the Speech Signal Bhavana Pujari1, Prof. S.S.Gundal2 Abstract: The original digital speech signal contains tremendous measure of memory, the main concept for the speech compression algorithm is presented here, in which bit rate of the speech signal is reduced with maintaining signal quality for storage, memory saving or transmission over the long distance. The concentration of this project is to compact the digital speech signal using Discrete Wavelet Transform and reconstruct same signal using inverse transform, in .NET. The algorithm of Compression is oriented in three basic operation, they are apply the DWT, Threshold, Encode the signal for transmission Analysis of compression procedure is done by comparing the original speech and reconstructed signal. The main advantages of DWT provides variable compression factor. Keywords: Bit rate, Compression, Decompression, Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), .NET, Threshold. Introduction The Speech is finest effective medium for viewpoint to face communication and telephony application. Speech coding is the process of obtaining a compact representation of audio signals for efficient transmission over band limited wired and wireless channels and/or storage. The procedure of Compression is done by transferring an original signal to alternate compressed signal that consist of small amount of memory. Compression is conceivable simply because information in input data ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
