The objective of this marketing and PR campaign is to promote the band The Gilded Six Bits and their new album "neat, plausible and wrong". The target audience is 16-30 year olds who like alternative indie rock. Social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube will be heavily utilized to engage fans and promote events and new releases. Unique merchandise like t-shirts and accessories will also help promote the band's message of empowerment and positivity. Small, intimate gigs and appearances at music festivals are part of the promotional events planned. Hyperbolic words like "outstanding" and "refreshing" will be used to make the band seem exceptional to appeal to their target demographic.
Are mutants humans? Marvel has spent the better part of 40 years arguing that they are in their popular X-Men series. But in 2003, their own toy division argued just the opposite in order to avoid a tariff on toys depicting humans. What price can one put on humanity itself?

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

3. Objectives
What are the objectives for this project? The objective is to market and PR the band The
Gilded Six Bits and their new album release neat, plausible and wrong.
Who do you want to target? I want to target a younger audience 16-30. Who like alternative
indie rock, both male and females who like to go to gigs and music festivals.
How many records do you want to sell? 16,000 worldwide records
What would make this a successful exercise? This is going to be a successful exercise
because it has a clear aim. The aim is to market and PR the band and it is going to be achievable to do. As
it is achievable to do I can use this for practise for the future in the work place as what I want to go into
realistically I may be asked to do some PR work. This kind of project could actually happen when I go into
my profession and it will be successful as I already will have some practice. The effect will be measured by
how popular the band will get. The more popular the band gets the most you know what you are doing is
being effective towards that band. Monitoring factors like twitter follows, facebook likes, album sails. Is
something to measure the effect of the PR and marketing campaign. The time in which there is achievable
for the exercise. There is a time scale but completing this will not be a problem in the time scale and it will
still be successful.
3
4. Audience
Who is the audience for this band? The target audience for this band is 16-30 year old
people, both male and females as the group is made up of male and females. People who like to go to gigs
and music festivals and love to go to places like Camden and shop at urban outfitters. Males and Females
who love little music venues and quirky bars.
What age are they? 16-30
What do they look like? Quirky looking male and females, young, piercings, tattoos, beards,
winged eyeliner, bandannas, baggy clothes. Wear a lot of black and white. They wear a lot of Topshop
basics and urban outfitters. Boys will wear the same and ark.
The girls are into wearing cop tops and highwasited skirts.
The boys like to wear ripped jeans and checked shirts and
oversized jumpers.
Who else do they like? They are also into people like Grouplove, The Naked and Famous,
Hozier, Passion Pit, Catfish and the Bottleman.
4
5. Media
What media will you use and why? Be specific about the platforms you will
use.
Because I am targeting younger people the media platforms will be a lot more varied as there will be be
more platforms in which they will be on. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Sound cloud, YouTube. They will
have these platforms as most 16-30 year olds are on these types of social media sites where you can use
hash tags to promote words and get their name about. I will use broadcasting and
What magazines might they get in to?
The magazines that they get into are NME, Kerrang, BBC Music Magazine, Teen now, Teen Vogue. They
are shown in both music and fashion/style as the band together have really good fashion. The girls are
featured in magazines like Cosmo as they are strong female role models with really good makeup and
fashion.
What TV channels would they be on? They would appear at the end of chat shows like
Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton. This is when they are promoting new songs. Like they will do this
when they re promoting their new album. Then there will be on MTV and music channels. On MTV they will
been doing interviews and short presenting parts in-between shows. Then they would of be on mainstream
channels such as itv on programs such as the X factor singing in the results show. Be interview on Lorraine
and performing on Lorraine and Good Morning Britain.
Which radio stations would play their music? The radio in which they would mainly be
on is BBC radio 1 as they were founded by BBC radio 1 introducing. Some of the songs would be played
on radio stations like Rock Fm, heart, Capital and Kerrang as these are more mixtures on new and older
music.
5
6. Media
Who would they give interviews to? They would give in to a range of different interviews
from BBC radio 1 to Good morning Britain. They would be on MTV a lot promoting their new albums. The
main place they would be would be BBC radio 1 join in with radio shows such as call and delete and taking
over the radio in an afternoon. The will be on interviews such a Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr. Then do
YouTube interviews for internet spy and buzz feed. They will also do interviews for youtubers and blogger
as this is the best way to reach their target audience. Their target audience are also the audience that
youtbuers and bloggers have and as they rather do interviews that are more personal and fun rather than a
very commercialised broadcasting interview this is why they prefer to do interviews in this sense as they
can reach out to their fans through answering Q&A’s that their fans have asked them from Twitter. Using
the hashtag for example ZoellaAsksTGSB. This is just a better way for the band to reach and give their
audience what they want through interviews. They will also have their own YouTube channel where they
can upload personal interviews with smaller broadcasters across YouTube such as Music TV and VEVO.
Radio one will also have them on their in the Live Lounge a lot covering songs and on in a morning with
Nick Grimshaw having an interview because their target audience are listening to them at Uni & College
whilst doing their work. Radio 1 is also really fun and they want to do interviews which are really fun and
nothing to serious because that takes away the fun and the message that they are trying to give out to their
audience as a band.
6
7. Which forms of social media would you use and how would you use social
media? The social media that is going to be used is really varied as they have a younger audience, more
social media will be used. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, snapchat, YouTube and sound cloud. I would use social
media for the audience to interact with their fans and promote upcoming events and new releases. They would
use hash tags to do this and post pictures up regularly to each of the social media sites. Pages will be made for
fans to like and follow to keep up with the band. Social media will be really important in the promotion of this band
because this is a massive way in which the target audience is going to interact with the band which is what the
band want. Sharing images, videos and statues is what is going to make them popular world wide not just in the
UK which is why they are going to have an account on every social media site. As they need to keep up with
bands that they have competition with such as Grouplove and M83. They need to make sure their social
networking is active at all times and that they stay interacted with their audience so their audience stay loyal to
them and do not get uninterested.
Be really specific here and plan the social media campaign. Consider the
different platforms available and how you would use them to reach your
audience. The social media campaign for the band would be very important is this is where they are going to
get most of their target audience. The broadcasting platform will promote them on social media as interviews they
can tell people to go and follow them and #TGSB. This hashtag they will use to promote themselves on Twitter &
Instagram. The twitter name will be @TGSB. This is a shorten named for them. This will allow their fans to tweet
them and involve them in posts that will be linked to them using this @ name and hashtag option. This hashtag
will be used on Instagram to promote the pictures that they upload and so fans can click on the hashtag and find
all the pictures that have everything to do with this band. It is a great way for them to promote an album cover. On
facebook and twitter they can carry out competitions to promote them releasing new albums. One competition that
they could carry out is free giveaways of their new album for three people if they retweet, favourite and follow their
account. This is encouraging people to follow them on social media and promoting their album. YouTube is
another vital social media site that they will be on and they will be constantly sharing their videos on there other
social media pages like facebook and twitter from YouTube…. Next slide
v7
8. Sneak previews will be posted from there pages such as pictures from backstage of music videos and new sneak
peak album covers to get fans excited. Links will be used in their Bio on Instagram/ twitter to their facebook page,
YouTube channel, band website and sound cloud. The target audience as there really keen on following bands
they like this will prove as a positive thing to get them their fans. The fans will be able to track what the bands are
getting up to. Other bands that do these are Grouplove. They are always posting about events they have played at
and sharing their new upcoming albums.
On snapchat they will have a account called TGSB. There are going to post daily to keep their fans up to date with
what they are doing everyday. Then their snapchat will be really positive and happy to promote their message on
social media and to show people what you can achieve if you work hard.
On facebook this will be their most concentrated account along with twitter as this account they are going to have
to most followers on because the older people who like them can follow them on here who would not necessarily
have twitter, Instagram and facebook. This is where they will post information about gigs and concerts on around
the country and share it. They will put information about the band on this page. As you can fit more characters into
what you posy so there is room for more information.
Instagram is where all their pictures will be shared again they are going to be called TGSB and they are always
going to use the hashtag on the images of TGSB, BeHappy and TGSBHappy. To promote the bands message
through their social media campaign. The filters they use will be bright filters to promote happiness for the band
such as Valencia and X pro.
Using social media to promote their material will be really effective so elements such as merch. Merch can use
social media as as platform to get it out there so they can promote this on Instagram and use the hashtag
TGSBMerch also on twitter. This is a good way for the target audience to see what the merch is which is a way of
promoting the band.
9. Merchandise
What merchandise would you use to promote this band? As this is in Indie band
the most popular kind of merchandise is a t-shirt and they will sell band t-shirts with different quotes from
their songs and a picture of the group. You will be able to get these t-shirts in different styles. Both male
and female. There is going to band wristbands which again come in different styles. Posters of the band
these will be the cheapest kind of merchandise they sell. They will sell apparel; hoodies, pullovers, bobble
hat, tank tops, vests. Then they will sell accessories; stickers, wristbands, badges, guitar pick, earrings,
vinyl's. As vinyl's are very popular with their target audience. As the band group love are someone that
TGBR relate to their merch will be inspired by group loves merch. So very unique patterns and graphics
that make the merchandise stand out. This would be really useful for the band as well because the unique
patterns they would have would make their merch stand out from others and this would be really good for
promoting their band with more people buying their merch because it is interesting. This is the kind of
merch TGBR would have funky T-shirts, hats, hoodies, badges. The target audience would want to have
this sort of merchandise which is why it is going to promote the band really well. Using social media to
promote this merchandise will be really effective by sharing it on Instagram, twitter an facebook.
9
10. Manage the message
What is the message you want to communicate about this band?
The message that band is communicating is making people feel powerful. There all about friends and
being strong which is why they have albums such as powerful ones (2013). They are a mixed gender band
and this is to communicate the message of friendship between boys and girls. I want to communicate to
their fans about not taking everything so seriously and just having a good time. The band is going to be
constantly promoting a positive feel about them and I want people to listen to them when they are feeling
happy. Their target audience are a young audience who are very influenced so they will sing about positive
things and things that young people will follow. This is the message they are getting across to be the best
you can be and always be happy even when your having a bad time because everything works out in the
end. That is why they have a song called “be happy” and “Best”
What is the main selling point of the band and the album?
The main selling point about this band is that they are an alternative group. They were founded in 2012
and they are new and exciting. They are producing music which is nothing like chart music. This is new
and refreshing for their target audience which is what they are using as a selling point for selling their
albums. They make music that is not like your typical pop music band. They are also known for their gigs to
be very small and personal that they create a exquisite experience for their audience. There always
positive and in the public eye in a positive way and this creates more fans for them and making them more
liable for people to want to buy their music. They are constantly played on radio one this gives them a
selling point because this is constantly promoting the band. This is another big selling point to them as their
target audience are the type of people that listen to radio one. This gives them more fans constantly who
are tuning into this radio channel. This then gets sales of them then buying their albums. Radio one said
that they were “Refreshing and Outstanding.” As they cam from BBC Radio One introducing they have
been called “absolutely brilliant, one of a kind band.” They use these as selling points on their new album.
10
11. Hyperbole
Every marketing and PR campaign uses hyperbole. Its role is to make
things seem better than they really are by using exaggeration and emotive
words or imagery.
What are the words you will use? What words will help you sell and will
appeal to your audience?
For this marketing and PR campaign I am going to be using words like outstanding, refreshing, incredible,
extraordinary. These are all over the top words in which describe the band as something that’s very great.
These will appeal to the target audience as the band Grouplove have the same target audience as my
band and they have conquered America and the UK which shows they have a pretty huge fan base there
album uses quotes like “such an original band, incredible harmonies from Hannah”, “refreshing to hear and
extraordinary lyrics” (thelineofbestfit.com.) These have sold albums for this group and following the same
lines I believe these kind of words can sell albums for TGSB. My target audience are always trying to find
new music as this is what they take an interest in and using the term “refreshing” “new” “one of a kind” is
what they want to know. Being indie is about being individual and have an individual band is something
that they are always wanting to hear. These kind of words make the band look individual which is going to
be a selling point when it comes to selling heir album to their target audience. Definitely want to use
positive words which promote how the band is seen. Marketing the band using positives words relates to
the message that the band are trying to get across to their target audience. Using words like ‘refreshing’,
‘one of a kind’ should be used across social networking sites to market the band through the words and
imagery. They can put reviews from people which positive words like ‘such an original band’ and they can
use words that describe the band in a positive way in their Bio to show people who they are.
11
12. Events
What events would you put on as part of the promotion of this band and
album? The kind of events that TGSB would do would be gigs. They are well known for doing gigs in
smaller venues. This is because they want to make them feel personal and small for their fans. They
always chose quirky bars and play their new music to promote their new album. They give away signed
copies and t-shirts for the first 20 people to turn up to the venue. They do gigs like these all over the
country. They also go to music events such as festivals and promote themselves by having posters around
and a stall selling their merchandise on there. This is promoting them as a band to people all together.
They would also put on events for charity as they are always doing positive activities in the public eye to
keep up this positive promotion about the band. They would play on TV shows. Which is a good way to
promote the band which Carly Rae Jepson did on 90210 and this is how she became popular. If a TV show
such as Alan Car was to get the TGSB on the show this is a way of promotion of their new album and a lot
of new bands do this. They could even create a digital event by creating a live stream of them singing this
has proven a popular way for some band son the internet as they can go world wide and everybody can
watch.
Would they play small secret gigs? They would play at small secret gigs because this is
what the band is all about they want to be more personal with their fans so they prefer to perform in more
smaller venues such as a quirky bar in Camden London. Places that are very popular for their target
audience to hang around in. For the TGSB this would be a really good way to make them unique putting on
small Gigs would make them have something different and original and their target audience are always
looking for a new band with a new ‘thing’ that they have such as when Grouplove throw love heart sweets
into the crowd etc… so having ‘secret gigs’ could prove really popular for giving them an edge above their
competition.
Would they appear for a signing in a flagship record store? They would appear
12
13. Would they appear for a signing in a flagship record store? They would appear for a signing in a
record store as they want to do anything to be able to meet their fans. They know that their fans are important to
them so they would go to small independent music stores to do signings whenever a new album is released. They
want to keep their fans happy to make sure they get that support. They would do this is smaller unique music
stores as they want to support the people who are in the community and have created a business and work hard.
That’s the message they want to show and this is what they want to show their target audience. Pictures will be
taken here and they can upload it from the city they are in at that signing onto their facebook and twitter page and
they can mention the small independent music show their in to show their support and bring that shop business.
As they want to bring to business to people and show their support.
Hey guys. TGSB here We are currently waiting for our
album signing in Leeds at MusixRocks music store trinity
Leeds centre. Come down and meet the gang and get you
new album and poster of the band. We can’t wait to meet
you all!!!
F search
This is a mock up of
what they would post on
social media about their
album signing.
14. Events
Would they play on TV chat shows? They would not be shown on chart shows that much
like UKTOP40 and SMASH HITS. If a particular song becomes popular they could find themselves being in
the charts but that’s not why they make their music. They make their music because they enjoy it and they
do it for their target audience. They are being played on music channels like Kerrang, VIVA, 4music and
MTV. It wouldn’t be much in the charts it would be more when they play alternative hits like they have a
track of the week and it is normally someone that is not in the charts regularly. They probably won’t be in
the top 10 like Taylor Swift as there more of a independent band with a more unique audience.
Would they go on a huge arena tour? They don’t do huge area tours as they don’t have
the fans to fill up the area and that is not their style. They are more into doing smaller gigs. They have
toured around smaller venues such as the O2 academy in Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow. These are music
smaller where they have the fans to fill up the venue and they are able to keep it personal and not overly
big and flashy. They like to perform more raw. They don’t want to keep there concerts very impersonal they
want to be able to talk to their audience and be able to see al their faces. So they feel like their fans are
performing with them.
What other events and happenings could you create to raise the public
profile of the band? They want to bring a book out to show their fans how they formed the group
and how they got to where they are today and this would mean having a book singing. They would tour
selected Waterstones to greet their fans and do a book singing. This creates a public profile of the band.
They would also host giveaway concerts for their fans to say thank you for their support. They are very
much like the band Grouplove. They would join in with switching their local areas Christmas lights on and
put on a free Christmas concert. With their local people and this is getting everyone together and the public
can see the band perform which is going to create a really strong public profile. They can create a road
show where they go round small towns spreading their happiness and putting on free concerts in the street
in cities across the Uk this creates promotion and allows people to realise that they are a really caring band
towards their fans. 14
15. Internal motivation
What is the motivation behind this project? The motivation behind this project is getting
the band TGSB out there and more popular, I am hoping to raise their public profile of this band. Even
though they have their make target audience they want to change the perception of people that anyone
can like them. The motivation is knowing that it is all going to worth while as at the end they will be claiming
the benefits of being much more well known and having a lot more fans. It will all be worth while at the end.
The motivation as well as being popular and out there is making a new positive band that is going to
influence their audience into doing the right thing and believing in themselves this links with the message
that they are trying to reach to their audience.
What is it an important project for you? It is important to me because I want this band to
succeed. They are a very strong band and they have a lot of potential to become one of the best bands in
the UK. It is important to me that I get them up to that level of being a really strong band that is why this
project is important to me. I want to see this band succeed and there is not a band like them out there for
people to see. Most bands are quite selfish when they hit fame and I don’t want this band to be like that so
it is important for me to get them out there because young adults and teenagers will benefit from this band
a lot. So that is why I want this project to work and it is important to me because for me personally they
could help me be happy when I’m down and I think they could save a lot of young people from feeling
unhappy.
Why is it an important project for the band? It is an important project to the band
because it is going to raise their public profile which will get them more money and more noticed which is
what they need. It is important to them that this project gives them more publicity because this is what is
going to make them more successful. They are wanting people to see them as band that really cares and
really wants to do something positive with their fame so this is why this project is important to them as it is
going to change peoples perception of them. They are not just another indie alternative rock band. They
are here to make a difference.
15
16. Motivation of media
Why would the media be interested in this project? They are going to be interested in
this project because it is a working process. They are starting from a point of them being a good band and
they are wanting to be even better which they are going to go do charity work and activities that bands
don’t normally do together. So the media are going to want to log this and use it as it is going to be
shocking for the public and will make good news stories. As they are something fresh from the likes of one
direction and little mix they are something that teenagers are going to be able to benefit from and the
media can get stories from young people who follow the band and they will make inspiration stories to
other young people who are in the same situation and can find out about the band helping them through
tough times through the media. Also they do events such as children and need and all the money they
make give to charity which is why the media are going to want to tell the public about this to show them
what an amazing a good willing band that they are.
Which parts of the media or media products (be specific) would be
interested in the project? One of the main products will be publication work. Publication work will
want to know about this project as it will making excellent stories. Publications such as Kerrang and NME.
This project will make a very inspiring and interesting story to bands just like them and they will in
interested in publishing this in their magazines. Also newspaper such as the independent. This news paper
has a younger audience such as student 20-30 and this their story is something that they will want to read
as they may possibly be a fan of the band. Social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter will also be
interested as they can share their journey and log it. They can keep the fans interested by posting pictures
and having statues that are sharing and keeping the public interested in what the band is doing. This is a
way that the band is having their fans getting involved in their project. They also could have segments in
magazines such as Cosmo and company where they like to display things that are going to inspire their
readers which I think this band will. But the more softer side to the band so the way they help young people
out with their music. Also the girls have amazing fashion sense in the band which young girls will want to
follow. So they could have a segment about their fashion in these magazines.
