Lennon Mccartney Relationship
It was 60 years ago, John Lennon told the band to play.
The day 6th July 1957 held a strong part in the history of rock and roll music.
The Garden fete, that was held at St Peter s church, Woolton in Liverpool that year was the starting
point of the meeting of two young boys, James Paul McCartney and john Winston Lennon. It was the
first meeting of the partnership that made the legendary songwriting duo for the band the Beatles,
creating hits such as hard days night(she loves you) to let it be from the 1960s to the end of 1969,
where they like to call them self as Lennon McCartney ; meet each other for the first time formally in
both their lives.
The iconic song writing partnership named Lennon McCartney all started out with the young ... Show

The meeting of the two boys ended with john learning how to tune his guitar, john learning how to
play chords on his guitar, john being absolutely blown away and star struck by the talents and
charisma that Paul McCartney had attracted him.
By the end of the day, lennon was walking back home with a friend of his, refusing to take the bus
back home as a fellow bandmate asked Lennon, what did he think of that kid, paul . Lennon replied
him that he liked him(Paul) and thought he was really good, the questions then turned around into
john asking whether they should ask Paul to join the band with him, but john already knew the answer
he needed before needing a reply from his bandmate.
Their meeting on 6th July 1957 was a huge change towards music history. The day McCartney met
Lennon, the day Lennon was impressed by the skills of McCartney, the day McCartney formally knew
Lennon, everything. The next few years were filled with both of them bonding and working together
on music, commonly known from the band the Beatles, where both of them takes credits under the
name lennon mccartney or

Contemporary Social Issues Of DACA
Part I Introduction: The Contemporary Social Issue of DACAA social issue that is currently whirling
around the United States is the discussion of what is going to happen with DACA recipients. DACA
stands for The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and they are also commonly referred to as
Dreamers (Michelle Mark 2017). The DACA act was set in place in 2012 by President Barrack Obama
and it provided young immigrants the chance to apply for temporary protection from deportation.
Often times children are too young to know what is going on and their parents bring them into the
United States so they are then protected under the DACA act. It is also only eligible to immigrants
who have been in the United States since 2007 and were under 16 years of age; 30 or younger as of
June 2012, in high school or have a diploma or GED and a clean criminal record (Dara Lind 2017).
The program does not grant legal status, put them on a path to citizenship and or legalization
(Michelle Mark 2017). The protection does allow these people to get authorization to work and obtain
a valid driver s license in some states. DACA provides the opportunity for them to have the chance to
further their education, buy cars, homes and even the possibility of starting a business (Dara Lind
2017). Currently 800, 000 people depend on the DACAAct in the United States (Michelle Mark).
Without the DACAAct, the recipients are essentially an illegal immigrant. Now what makes DACA a
social issue is that

Egyptian Tales Galore Essay
When Cleopatra came out in 1963, it was running on the budget of $44 million ($297 in 2007 dollars).
The movie follows Cleopatra VII, last queen and monarch of Ancient Egypt from 48 BCE (allying
with Caesar) to her suicide in 31 BCE. Cleopatra was born in 69 BCE to Ptolemy XII and an unknown
mother and she would later inherit the throne along with her brother Ptolemy XIII when her father
died in 51 BCE. Her brother had gotten Cleopatra to leave Egypt the same Caesar came chasing his
rival Pompey into Egypt. They crossed paths and became allies against Ptolemy XIII, getting
Cleopatra s power as the sole queen back along with a son, Caesarion. After Caesar s assassination in
44 BCE, Cleopatra was brought back to Rome 3 years later and had an ... Show more content on

The Use Of Personal Digital Assistants, Or Pdas, By...
There has been increase in the use of personal digital assistants, or PDAs, by individuals Traumatic
Brain Injury or TBI. These devices are being used to help TBI patients with everyday activities such
as keeping up with appointments, medication management, daily tasks, etc. Due to behavioral memory
deficits that are common among TBI patients, these daily activities are difficult for these individuals.
In the past low tech items were used such as daily planners and strategically placed notes, but due to
the growth of high tech instruments, such as smartphones, personal computers, and PDAs, the low
tech devices are being used less (Gentry, Wallace, Kvarfordt, Lynch 2008 19 24). In the early stages of
high tech device use among TBI patients there were three popular computer programs that were used,
but they were contained to desktop computers, which makes them useless outside of the individual s
home. Once PDA s were introduced these programs became obsolete. An early study of PDA use
included the use a program called Psion Organizer. The study found that most TBI patients with
memory deficits preferred the PDA and Psion Organizer over other low tech instruments. The Psion
Organizer software is no longer available and been replaced with other software such as Palm systems.
There has not been a study done on the Palm operating system. Research has been done on software
specifically developed for TBI patients(Gentry, Wallace, Kvarfordt, Lynch 2008 19 24). The study

The Purpose Of Fractional Distillation
Discussion
The purpose of this experiment is to identify two compounds from an unknown given liquid by
separating them into three components using fractional distillation. Distillation is the act of heating
and cooling liquids in order to obtain a pure sample. There are two main types of distillation: simple
distillation and fractional distillation. Simple distillation is the most basic form of a distillation. This
method is more helpful when the separation between a liquid and a solid needs to happen or between
two liquids with boiling points that have a difference of about 50°C or higher. Fractional distillation is
similar to simple distillation; however, it is used to separate two liquids with similar boiling points.
Fractional distillation works by first heating up the solution of the two liquids. Once the solution
begins to boil, the unknown compound that has a lower boiling point will evaporate and rise into a
distillation apparatus. The newly formed gas will travel through the apparatus until it is cooled down,
at which point the gas will not be able to maintain the energy needed for this specific phase, and will
begin to condense back into a liquid. The same process will occur with the second liquid, the only
difference being that it needed a higher temperature in order to transform into a gas. The two new
liquids will each have a higher percentage of the unknown compound, thus making them have a higher
purity rate.
The second technique that will be used to identify

Nordstrom:
Planning a better inventory
Question 1 Nordstrom has famously been known for its lean retail prices and its tight inventory.
Nordstrom uses demand forecasting to minimize leftover inventory. Nordstrom s total corporate
management is based on two main goals. One is to associate purchasing with demand to keep
inventory as lean as possible. Second is to present customers and sales associates with a wide ranging
view of Nordstrom s entire inventory, including all stores and warehouses. Nordstrom relates
purchasing with demand to keep inventory lean and show customers and employees Nordstrom s
inventory. Nordstrom keeps its items in stock for an extremely short period of time so that if a
customer wants it, they only have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Effective communication can increase the common understanding of ethics and ideas among
customers and form a base for relations and future purchases. The happier a customer feels with the
company that they are purchasing from, the more often they will go back to that company and
purchase more products. Groups that should be involved are all employees within the company,
because the more they are involved, the more comfort there will be among the employees and the
customers who will buy the product in the near future.
Question 4 Nordstrom has done a lot to their technology department since 2009 to compete with
competitors in the online market. If there were ideas that I could suggest for them, I would say that in
their search area on the sites, they can still add more functions, such as a rating system where
customers can rank the product on how good it is. Companies such as Macy s and Nike have a
customer rating system for clothing, so buyers know which products are being liked and which ones
aren t. Also, in the online inventory, Nordstrom needs to include which products are new, and which
ones are old because it is not listed on their site. Companies such as Nike, Banana Republic and Macy
s all have a new arrival tab on their website while Nordstrom does not. Those would be the only
inventory management overhaul ideas I would recommend to them. As far as stretch goals are
concerned, I

Use Of Biodiesel Over Petroleum Diesel
1.0 Thesis:
The use of biodiesel over petroleum diesel can be proven be easier to make, more energy efficient and
a greener way to run you vehicle.
2.1 Argument 1: Process
The use of biodiesel over the more common petroleum diesel has become a more frequent sight as
people strive for an easier and more environmental beneficial way to run their vehicle with only small
modifications needed. Unlike diesel which uses crude oil, biodiesel is made by converting oils such as
waste vegetable oils to bio diesel.
Diagram 1: Waste oil
As can be seen in the comparison matrix like conventional petrol, biodiesel is also made up of long
chains of hydrogen and carbon atoms, though as can be seen in diagram 1 the oils used to create
biodiesel are slightly different in having three chains of these fatty acids being connected by a
backbone of glycerine. To be able to use these oils for fuel the glycerine backbone has to be removed,
which is done through a process called transesterification. Equation 1: transesterification process
The transesterification process uses alcohols such as methanol which is seen in equation 1 to break the
bonds between the fatty acid chains and the glycerol backbone. Once the glycerol bonds have been
broken away from the fatty acid chain, they are then replaced by methoxy groups from the methanol
used in the process. According to (The Cemistry of Biodiesel, 2014) this process is best done at a
temperature of around 50°C for a complete

Automobile Theft Is A Crime
Most time people don t think about what crimes they are committing like motor vehicle theft, larceny
and theft and robbery. Each of the crimes is serious, but some people don t understand the
consequence of what they could be up against. Automobile theft is a felony which you could face up
to one or more years in prison. Robbery is a crime that happens every day and usually deals with
someone intentionally taking something from a store or a person.
Larceny and Theft is another crime that is similar to robbery, but it is a more serious crime that it is
unlawful to take constructive possession of another person s personal property.
Motor Vehicle thefts can be easily done by a professional who knows how to hi jack cars. The most
common mistake why some cars are easily stolen is that people leave their doors unlocked. For
example most people go into convince stores and leave their car running which is an easy way for a
car to be stolen. There are certain vehicles that cannot be considered as automobile theft as in farm
equipment because it isn t registered with the DMV. According to the FBI (UCR) they consider that a
vehicle is only to run on land not rails .In 2010 there was an estimated amount that there were 737,142
thefts of automobiles which is an outstanding number of vehicles stolen. There is also an estimated
rate of 238.8 thefts out, out of 100,000 inhabitant that deal with vehicle theft. About 4.5 billion dollars
is lost nationwide, because of these auto thefts

Cost Of Moving
You ve dreamed about it for years. Moving across country. You know, setting up shop somewhere else.
Finding adventures in strange new places. Making new friends in some strange new local brew pub.
Oh, you can practically taste that local micro brew now! But you ve never done it because let s face it:
Being a single girl moving across country isn t without its problems or risks. But it s not without its
rewards, either. If you ve finally decided to take the plunge, then here are some things you need to
consider before moving across the country. Research the Cost of Living A successful move requires
that you look at all expenses. There s no way around it. U.S. News and World Report suggests that you
research how much it will cost for you to live in your new destination of choice. Find out how much
rents are as well as how much it costs for food, utilities, entertainment, and the like. If it ll cost more,

An article on the U Pack website suggests that the move itself, meaning transit time, will take up to
five days. This doesn t include packing your truck or unloading. Therefore, to be on the safe side make
sure that you earmark up to two weeks for your actual move. This gives you time to secure your
belongings into your moving truck, travel from one coast to another, and finally to unload (and
possibly collapse for a bit) with time to spare. Final Thoughts on Moving Moving across country can
be risky, but it also comes with plenty of excitement. If you re a single girl with a cross country move
in your future, be sure to take this step with your eyes open. Research your destination ahead of time
and plan your packing and moving in an orderly fashion. Finally, don t get weighed down by stuff you
don t need. If you can live without it, sell it or toss it. You ll be glad you did once you set to unpacking

Health Care For Medical Errors
One change in healthcare that is likely to happen is the increasing transition to a more quality and
value based approach. This is in part due to reimbursement model changes regarding patient outcomes
as well as ethical concerns about the large number of preventable errors that continue to occur in our
current system (Sachs, 2015). Between 210,000 and 400,000 deaths happen yearly due to medical
errors in addition to approximately 4,000,000 to 8,000,000 errors that cause serious harm. It is clear
that high costs are not providing excelling results. As our current system continues to shift in this
value based direction, we will likely see even further changes in how and where care and treatments
are provided (Phillips, 2015). For instance, home visits are beginning to be utilized to provide care for
minor and chronic conditions. As in centuries past, basic health care is starting to be delivered in a
patient s home. Hospital care is expensive comparatively, and the risk for complications such as
medical errors, infection, and other hospital acquired conditions increases. The use of urgent care
centers is also growing rapidly as they can provide quicker, cheaper, and equally effective services to
individuals than the emergency room which used to care for these patients very ineffectively. This
trend towards more cost effective, value oriented care can also be seen in the increasing use of lower
cost outpatient surgery centers performing procedures that used to be performed in

Sublime Research Papers
If you like ska, punk, reggae, or hip hop, then you will love Sublime. They are a perfect combination
of all these genres and more. Straight from Long Beach, California, Sublime has made some of the
most unique music to date. Their talents go beyond their popular songs on the radio like classic hits
Santeria , What I Got , and Smoke Two Joints . Many classify Sublime as stoner rock, which may be
true, but their music isn t limited to only potheads. Sublime is such an interesting band because of
their origin, music, and their rise to fame. First of all, Sublime s origin should be known. Bassist Eric

Nowell. They will be up all night trying to slap a label on Sublime. They are compared to artists like
Slightly Stoopid, 311, The Dirty Heads, Operation Ivy, and Pepper, though they still have a sound
unlike any of those bands. On the subject of Sublime s sound, Bookman says:
Sublime s music was highlighted by bass driven grooves, reggae rhythms, elaborately cadenced rhyme
schemes and transitions between paces and styles throughout a given song, sometimes alternating
between thrash punk, ska and reggae within the same song (see Seed ). Their music often contains
psychedelic, harmonic, minor based or bluesy guitar solos, rhythmically improvised bass solos or dub
lines, turntable scratching and rolling drum transitions and heavy bass lines. They are known for being
one of the first and most influential reggae fusion musicians. (5) If I had to list every one of Sublime s
influences, I d be here all day. It is a little known fact but many of Sublime s most popular hits are
covers. I m not saying that they were a cover band. What Sublime did was more of a tribute to some of
Nowell s favorite artists, and some are so obscure that they brought the originals more fame than
before. Smoke Two Joints is originally by The Toyes, but the cover incorporates lyrics from other
songs like Outside! by the Ziggens ( Smoke cigarettes til the

What Are The Worst Presidents
We have had many presidents in our country s history. The presidents themselves don t last forever,
but their impacts, legacies and memories do.They contributed to generations and future generations.
But nobody is perfect and you can t please everyone so of course in the eyes of some people there
were presidents they believed to be better than others. Not everyone s favorites will be the same. I
myself believe that George Washington, Lyndon B Johnson, and Abraham Lincoln were some of the
best presidents, but however with all good sides there are bad sides like presidency s I believed that
the worst presidents were people like William Henry Harrison, John F. Kennedy, and John Tyler.

After learning and analysing each presidency, I believe that William Henry Harrison had one of the
worst presidencies. The reason I say this about is Harrison because he obviously got nothing done
during his presidency, of course since he had the shortest presidency. Harrison was only in office for
thirty two days before dying from basically giving the longest inauguration speech and then got a cold.
Harrison s dying like anyone dying was not ideal because after his death, John Tyler who was his vice
president was sworn in as president who was not exactly who we voted for. The people wanted
Harrison, but got someone else before Harrison could do anything. And in all honesty another reason
that I consider him one of the worst presidents is him giving the longest inauguration speech in the
cold, risking his health was not necessary I know he wanted to show his strength to the people, but he

Presidential Election Of The United States
After almost two years on the campaign trail, the United States of America has finally elected its new
president, Donald Trump. No that is not a typo, this is real life. It was a hard fought battle between
Hillary Clinton and the Donald which ultimately lead to one of the most shocking upsets in recent
American politics. Being that the odds were heavily stacked against Trump as poll after poll predicted
Clinton be the victor, it was to the astonishment of many that he reigned victorious during this 2016
presidential election cycle. Be it the will of the country (or in this case electoral college ) this
poisonous cheeto will now be the 45th president of the United States. So how did this happen, what
was it about Trump that pushed voter behavior in his favor in many key battleground states? Trumps
victory lies in the hands of the silent majority who at this point were dying for change and saw it
within the republican nominee. The biggest contributing factor to Trump s win on November 8 was
retrospective voting which a lot of voters clearly engaged in this election cycle. When making the
decision of who to vote for during an election, voters often tend to start looking within at their own
situation before throwing their support at a candidate. Questioning whether ones is better off now than
they were before the previous election is known as retrospective voting. This concept is the idea that
voters take into consideration factors such as the performance a political party ,

X-Ray Powder Diffraction Patterns
X ray powder diffraction patterns of good quality were obtained for the samples using CuKα radiation
of wavelength 1.5406A0 at room temperature. The obtained X ray diffraction patterns confirmed the
formation of a single phase cubic spinel structure for the ferrite samples with a crystallite size ranging
from 25 34nm as reported earlier [16]. The X ray diffraction patterns were fitted using a Rietveld
refinement procedure as shown in Fig 2 [17,18]. The fitted patterns were observed for eight peaks
indexed by miller indices (220), (311), (222), (400), (422), (511) and (440), evident from the normal
XRD patterns as reported earlier [16]. From the Fig 2 it is observed that sharpness in the peak is
increased with an observed decrease in the width of the peak, which is the indication of the increase in
particle size of the ferrite with the increase in Indium content. From the Fig 2 it is evident that
observed patterns were exactly coinciding with the calculated values and the difference is very
negligible. In comparison with the normal XRD patterns Rietveld patterns have shown some extra
peaks of (331), (531), (422), (620), (533) and (622) which correspond to the second order impurity
phase. The intensities of the impurity peaks reflect that the percentage of the impurity is negligible.
From the Rietveld refinement patterns of the samples it is clear that the ferrites belong to the space
group Fd3m with lattice parameter values ranging from 8.3106A0 to 8.3648A0. The values are in

The newly appointed CEO, Scott Livengood, realized the problem with the sluggish sales was because
of the company s current strategy.
After becoming CEO, president, and chairman of the board in 1999, the company repositioned and
focused on being a specialty retailer rather than a wholesale bakery. Krispy Kreme wanted to give
their customers the hot doughnut experience they all knew and loved (Peter Donnelly, 2011). The
second part of their plan was to increase the number of stores both franchises, and company owned
nationally. The company began to move into other regions. For example, in 1996 the first store in NY
City was opened, and in 1999 the first store in California opened. In early 2000, the company went
public and merged into a new company called Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc., instead of Krispy
Kreme Doughnut Corporation. From 2000 2004, the number of stores has proliferated from 144 to 357
and Krispy Kreme is now beginning to open in international locations, opening the first factory in
London. They now also have locations in Canada, Mexico, and Australia.
SITUATION ANALYSIS
MARKET SUMMARY:
Krispy Kreme focuses on opening their stores in large, populated cities in the United States such as
Denver, Colorado, Rochester, New York, Medford, and Massachusetts. In 2000 2004 the company has

19th Century American Education System
During the time of American Revolution, the colony public system only had boys in the institution in
the 1600s. It was until the 1700s women whose families were wealthy received formal private
education and the lower class were normally limited to whatever they could pick up at home
(educationnews.org, 2013). In the 19th century US educators felt that the school system was
segregated by age. Educator Horace Man introduced age grading for student in Massachusetts in 1848.
Its success lead to age grading across public schools in America. Today we use the same age grading
by dividing children by age in public schools elementary, middle school, and high school. Horace Man

Post Civil War North Carolina
Post Civil War North Carolina, as a part of the New South , was supposed to be an economically and
morally prosperous state that was no longer reliant on slave labor. Unfortunately, the abolition of
slavery did not abolish the misfortune of black and white North Carolinians alike before 1900. Racism
was still very much alive, blacks did not enjoy the rights they supposedly acquired after the war, the
same rich families from before the war were still rich, and the people that were poor before the war
were still struggling.
The New South mentality attempted to modernize North Carolina s previously agrarian economy
through industrialization. Businessmen, such as Richard J. Reynolds, strategically erected factories in
North Carolina for access to its prestigious railroads to swiftly transport their products. Factory
owners had no trouble finding employees, as many North Carolinians were eager to avoid the
hardships of farm labor. Towns began to rise around the factories after the influx of laborers came
about. Such a plethora of potential workers allowed factory owners to pay their employees drastically
low wages as they reaped the benefits of cheap labor. Low wages combined with pitiful working
conditions resulted in these factory towns resembling life on slave plantations before the war.
North Carolina tobacco factories manufactured and sold such high volumes of tobacco products world
wide that they became the face of the industry. For example, a Bull Durham smoking

The Role Of Absolute Monarchy In France
The idea of an absolute monarchy had been the foundation of rule in Europe from the beginning.
However, a constitutional monarchy would provide a greater representation and opportunity for the
subjects of France moving forward. Migrating to a more democratic government through a
constitutional monarchy would better suit the people because it would grant the subjects more political
power while limiting the power of the King, and creating an equitable administration that would
abolish the caste system. Allowing this change created a form of accountability in regards to the
political power of the King to ensure that no ruler could abuse it. Under the absolute monarchy, there
was a divide between the three estates with the third estate, which

It is a tragic situation. Sub Saharan migrant women in these circumstances are subject to additional
abuse of their human rights. African women are often exploited. A majority of reports on migration

financial security in the form of a sponsor, usually from a man who will accompany and support them.
But this type of aid has negative effects, it has caused a stressing issue that creates debt bondage in
which they must pay off most commonly through sex work (Anyadike, 2015). Article four of the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights prohibits slavery, another unethical practice that Africans
have resorted to is in direct violation of the human rights. Again, it is rooted in the weakness of the
migrants. Most that participate in sex work have no other options. And those who perpetrate this
exploitation have created an unbreakable cycle, forcing African women to be in debt for as long as
they can draw it out for. This problem is not going away with the industry of sex trafficking well and
live alive, even today; the issue is expanding. And solutions are hard to come by, especially when the
parties involved are limited with incentives or resources to help.
It seems that the Moroccan population is unlikely to work towards a solution to the human rights
abuse of the foreigners. On the other end, the Africans in the unethical, poor state that they are in are
helpless. But is

Adoption Research Paper
Many children have been adopted throughout the world. While many of them do not know their
origins, they grow up wanting to know about their birth parents. An adopted child may want to know
if his illness may be genetic. This would be important regarding medical records, and having access to
them for medical decisions. An adopted person may also like to learn about his ethnic background
since that person may want to know about his roots. A person who was adopted may also wonder what
his birth parents are like and why they gave the baby up for adoption. The emotional and practical
issues are overwhelming and need resolution. Adoptees should have access to their sealed adoption
records because it is their right to know about themselves.

It will not go away until it is answered. Only by opening sealed records could this happen for the
adopted child. At one point in time, whenever an unmarried birth mother had a child, she was forced
to give her newborn baby up for adoption. This kind of separation could lead to depression for the
birth mother, and anxiety for the adopted child. By having access to the sealed adoption records, both
mother and child can have resolution. Finding his or her biological parents gives the child better
insight to understanding most of the events that he or she had to face. Many of the factors related to
abandonment issues are due to finding out about the adoption. The psychological impact that this
gives to the child is a negative factor compounding the difficulty of finding their birth parents.
Opening records is a sensitive issue for all parties, but the adopted child or birth parent has the right to
know. This should no longer be a request but a right. It is time for the government to grow a
conscience and realize the lives they hold in their hands are

I Enjoy The Forest
I enjoy the forest. I liked walking through the forest and taking in the sunlight, the oxygen, the sight of
the natural and strong trees. Seeing little squirrels and other rodents and insects scurry across the
ground is a sight to behold when you live in the city for so long. Now that I have been getting out
more often and seeing the sights that the world can offer more often, this feels like a home away from
home. In the noon, a gentle glow, courtesy of the sun, peeks through the canopy above, but due to the
density of the tree tops, it still remains rather dim in some areas. These dim areas are usually damp,
and contain fungus, and obviously, as we all know, (for the most part), that you shouldn t eat any wild
mushrooms, which I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Well, it still is, but the once completely solid rock has a very unusual gash in it. The path that I usually
take to and from this place is coated in a slime, and that same slime runs back up into the gash. There
it trails into another direction, this time up into a tree. Could this rock be more than it seems? As I
attempt to identify the substance, small, damaged parts of the rock begin to fall apart. This effect then
snowballs, and eventually larger pieces of the rock fall off due to structural instability, revealing a hole
in the ground, brimming with the sludge. Out of this pit comes a very sharp, clawed, black hand, and
directly above the arm flails a scythe like appendage. Such a creature cannot exist in this forest that I
am willing to call home, right? This beast gets it s second hand onto land, and begins to raise itself out
of the pool. Dripping with slime, it s huge jaws and very long fangs become exposed. It s bladed teeth
gnash and with deep, growling vocalizations, it begins to completely lift itself out of the bath, and it
stands on it s very, skinny feet. It has very broad shoulders, but it s body quickly narrows out,
revealing ribs that puncture it s own chest and a caved in stomach. The definitions of it s bones are
very prominent, most identifiable in it s pelvis and it s calves, in which it s skin at these points is so
tight that there might as well be exposed bone. This creature is extremely tall, if I could guess it looks

Symptoms And Treatment Of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Essay
Keywords: HCM, sarcomere, thick and thin filaments, gene mutation, autosomal dominant, Doppler
echocardiography, dual chamber pacemaker, septal ablation, myomectomy)
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, HCM is a cardiac disorder with a genetic etiology, characterized by
hypertrophy of the myocardium It is an important cause of morbidity and mortality in the affected
population. Both men and women are affected equally and people of any age and race are at risk of
developing HCM. It is the most common cause of sudden cardiac death SCD in young adults,
especially athletes.
Description of the disorder Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is characterized by interventricular septal
hypertrophy (in absence of other cardiovascular conditions), causing decrease of left ventricle cavity
and potentially leading to outflow obstruction. (1) (6) As a consequence of mutations in several genes
encoding for thick and thin filaments which build the cardiac muscle, morphological changes occur
leading to tangled, thickened myocardial fibers. It is an important cause of morbidity and mortality.
Symptomatology varies a lot, from asymptomatic patients to those with severe cardiac function
impairment. Some of the most common symptoms of HCM, which are not specific to this disorder
may be: shortness of breath at rest or with exertion, fatigue, chest pain, arrhythmias, dizziness, but not
only.
There is an ongoing debate about the onset of the hypertrophy and symptoms. Although it is
confirmed that

What is your opinion on the topic after reading/viewing the selection? Do you agree or disagree with
the author? Why or why not?
I watched The Story of Bottled Water . This video s main goal is to persuade you not to buy bottled
water. The producers of the video gave examples showing a bad light on bottled water. One example
highlighted how water bottles were sitting in landfills in India and polluting the world. I agree with the
fact about how it is bad that the bottles are causing pollution. At another point in the video they said
that being seen drinking out of a bottle of water was getting to the same level as being seen smoking
while pregnant. I disagree with that statement. I think that is very extreme and just not true. My
opinion on this topic after watching the video is that the problem is not the bottles of water and their
companies, it is the factories in India that are not actually recycling the bottles. That seems to be the
main problem. Examine the title of the poem. What do you think it means? Read the poem several

In turn, this result in the allowance of the muscles to contract is involuntary and requires no thought.
The relationship between the structure and function of the Outer Wall Intestine cells is, in the
structure, the fibers are short and not striated, while since the cells are smooth cells this allows the
function of the cells to be involuntary and is composed in the lining of the organ. The contractions of
the cells allow the organ to keep blood, fluids, and necessary nutrients to flow throughout the organ.
Slide 1:Muscle Skeletal Longitudinal Section and Slide 2:Muscle Skeletal Cross Section Yes, there are
multiple striations across the width of the Muscle Skeletal Longitudinal Section of the cells and the
Muscle Skeletal Cross Section cells. There are several nuclei in both cells. The fibers in both cells are
striated, and the fibers are long and each muscle cell is fused to one another. This is why so many
nuclei are included. Also, the fibers are almost threadlike, with dark and light colored striations. As a
result of the contractions in the Muscle Skeletal Longitudinal Section cells and the Muscle Skeletal
Cross Section cells, it allows your muscle to be able to contract in response to nerve stimuli. This
means that the movements of most of these muscles are not involuntary, you can control them.
Therefore, once the stimulation stops, the muscles relax. The relationship between the structure and

Physics Of Oscillations In Physics
This report investigates resonance phenomena of driven damped simple harmonic oscillations by
measuring accelerations and frequencies of an oscillator. Since it turned out that oscillations with low
damping have smaller errors than those with high damping, small damping cases are employed to
examine the resonance phenomena. Based on the Newton s 2nd Law cite{book}, the motion of
oscillations can be modeled by the following differential equation and its solution.

ddot x+2gamma dot x+omega_{0}^{2} x=left(frac{F_{0}}{m}right)e^{iomega t}

In total, 16 experimental data points have been taken after settling to each steady state for various
driven frequencies. The voltage data obtained in Lab View is then converted to the acceleration data
by multiplying its amplitudes by the slope of the two calibration points. Here, the voltage data is
calibrated with gravity only and with no acceleration. The slope is called calibration factor. Errors for
accelerations are the calibration factor times the error of the cursor measurements of Lab View, and
that is the minimum difference Lab View can measure. Errors for the phase shifts are obtained by
equation ref{eq5} where (Delta f„) is an error for the driven frequency derived from the variation
in frequency displayed on the oscilloscope cite{oscilloscope}, (t) is a time shift between the peak of
the acceleration of the oscillator and the driven force, (Delta t) is an error for the time derived from

The South China Sea Essay
Since the 3rd Century AD, the South China Sea has been home to countless territorial disputes
between China, the Philippines, Vietnam, and other East Asian Nations. This region is so contentious
because it is one of the busiest trade routes, and is home to vast natural resources. Because of the long
and dense history of them, these disputes are some of the most difficult events to understand and
interpret in international relations. Because the disputes deal with relative power, and the security
dilemma, looking at the events through a realist lens is the most practical way of analyzing them.
Although there have been small disputes dating back to the 3rd Century, conflict in the South China
Sea really started to heat up in the early 1900 s. In the 19th Century, France had been heavily involved
in the South China Sea because they had colonized French Indochina (present day Vietnam). However
France was more concerned about control of the Gulf of Tonkin than the entire South China Sea. The
early disputes were primarily over the Paracel Islands, a group of islands somewhat in between China
and Vietnam. In 1902 (Serverino, 2010, p.76), China ordered the first official exploration of the
islands preemptively because they were worried the the French might try to claim the islands as part of
Indochina s territory. Then in the 1920 s, both Japan and France claimed to own the Paracel s. It was
around this time that China said the Paracel s were the southernmost part of its territory.

Comparing the Modern Organizational Theory and...
Organization theory deals with the formal structure, internal working, and external environment of
complex human behavior within organizations. As a field spanning several disciplines, it prescribes
how work and workers out to be organized and attempts to explain the actual consequences of
organizational behavior (including individual behavior) on work done and on the organization itself.
(Gordon and Milkavoich, 147) It has been evolving for centuries on how should work be done in the
public administration and how the organization should be. Research findings have emerged about
what motivates workers and how different incentives affect various tasks, employees, and situations;
and the environments in which they operate. (Gordon and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Improvisation is made inevitable in a situation where problems must be dealt with expediently and on
the spur of the moment. Taking into consideration the conflict between the Arabs and the Israelis,
improvisation is essential to running administrations. The formal theory such of Max Weber cannot
apply since its framework of rules and procedures are to ensure stability, predictability, and reliability
of performance; yet, with no stability or predictability in the environment these theories only fall short
of their expectations. Rational panning has already been pointed out a century ago by Herbert Simon
(1976) to be bounded by many factors such as: skills, habits, and reflexes, values, etc, which makes it
impossible to achieve rational planning that is suited for the situation #8230;Moreover, rational
planning does not have primary value in Israel s cultural heritage. Survival in the Diaspora often
depended on an ability to act quickly, with limited resources, under harsh, changing, and uncertain
conditions. (Sharkansky and Zalmanovitch, 2) With endless terrorism, continuous war, and a
population growth that shifts from month to month there is the perpetual challenge to respond to each
situation expediently and ingeniously. Even with the scientific management organizational theory, the
formal structure and rules, the highly centralized top management levels, and especially the
standardizing procedures would make policy making

How To Describe Thanksgiving
As I begin to recollect past experiences and events growing up, Thanksgiving is the holiday that

friends would forget their worries and differences and collectively came together at grandmother s
house to partake of the Gullah dishes. Furthermore, it serves as a vehicle in stimulating family health
and wellbeing, while passing on the identity of the family throughout generations. As I reminiscence, I
can recall the air was bursting with love, hugs, laugher and kisses; a sight to behold. Grandmother s
house was small but no one seemed to care as it was inviting. Every area of the house was utilized
from the kitchen to the narrow stairway that lead upstairs to the bedrooms. Children were outside
playing working up an appetite although there was a chill in the air often going unnoticed, still we
were bundled in our hats, coats and mittens. This was not a formal affair but we were all neatly
dressed. The house was filled with distinct smells that was heavenly. Steam came from the kitchen as
finishing touches were placed on meals. Watching my aunts sweat trying to maneuver in a tight
kitchen hoping to avoid bumping into one another was hilarious, but I paid close attention for one day

Analysis Of Beethoven s 9th Symphony
For the second and final concert report, I listened to the performance of Beethoven s 9th symphony, as
played by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Beethoven lived in Germany during the late 16th and
early 17th centuries, and was an influential figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic
eras in western music. The performance requires a large number of instruments, with woodwinds,
brass, percussion, strings, and even a choir during the 4th movement. The first movement of
Beethoven s 9th is quick, driving forward and at times giving the feeling of rushed urgency, while
maintaining a composed majesty beneath the surface. This is reflected in the original tempo marking
of allegro ma non troppo, un poco maestoso, meaning literally quickly but not too fast, a little majestic
. The movement begins with a the strings playing intervals over a quiet string tremolo, reminiscent of
an orchestra tuning themselves before a performance. This crescendos to a loud and bombastic
introduction of the first movement s main theme and the introduction of the brass section. The first
movement also makes heavy use of dynamic contrast, with large crescendos that swell in time with the
music and diminuendos that quickly reign in the impressive power of the full symphony orchestra.
The first movement also follows a traditional sonata form, with the main theme having variations
throughout the roughly 18 minutes of play time. Personally, I found the ending of the first movement

outcome of this was that her coworkers were bigoted towards homosexuality. Lisa Sherman had a

She felt that if she were to tell anyone it would affect her career, which allegedly proved to be a
correct assumption, from the comments that her co workers made. One of the most homophobic
individuals turned out to be one of Lisa s mentors. In essence, the people Lisa had been closest to
turned out to be bigoted individuals.
When deciding what to do, Lisa needs to be sure it is in the best interest of her needs. Since she has
been with the same company for 15 years, and quickly worked her way up, she probably has a myriad
of opportunities waiting for her. She can inform the CEO Ray Smith of her sexual orientation, as he
wants the company to become more progressive and would (allegedly) not be bothered by her
sexuality. However, the rest of her coworkers still feel that Gay people are immoral, disgusting people.
Even if the CEO did not mind her sexuality, her coworkers would still see her in a different light.
I feel the best decision that Lisa can make is to look for different work, with a more open, progressive
company, then resign from Verizon. This decision would allow her time to get her finances in order.
However, if she had a large savings, then the best decision would be to resign immediately, because
being around such bigoted individuals would cause her undue stress, and her performance may be
affected.
If Lisa Sherman chooses to resign, since the CEO Ray

Nature And Nurture In Lord Of The Flies
A feral child (also, colloquially, wild child) is a human child who has lived isolated from human
contact from a very young age, and has no (or little) experience of human care. It is said that feral
children are the real life experiment that we cannot ethically carry out. They question what the
defining factors in human nature are and furthermore how much society impacts on our personalities.
The texts I have chosen are Romulus and Remus (Roman myth), The Girl with no Name by Lynne
Barret Lee, The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling and Lord of the flies by William Golding. All four
texts propose that the experiences we have as a child are the most significant ones in making us who
we are. Most texts discuss the idea of Nature Versus Nurture Nature and nurture relates to the inherent
qualities (nature) as opposed to personal experiences (nurture). In the 1954 classic Lord of the Flies,
Golding slowly shapes the boys and leads the reader from a group of civilized young boys into true
savages. Golding uses a metaphor to compare [Jack s] laughter to the bloodthirsty snarling of an
animal. This demonstrates to the reader Jack s descent into barbarism and we question whether he is
more human or wild animal. The text is written in an omniscient third person so it is easy to see the
boy s predicament, What are we? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

difficult task for any ruler to accomplish in the Middle Ages. Quite in contrast to their predecessors,
the Mughals created an empire and accomplished what had hitherto seemed possible for only short

The Perception Of Blindness Versus Ability
The perception of blindness versus ability to see truths in King Lear Throughout history, noble kings
and powerful leaders have fallen from power due to their blindness towards people they trusted.
Novels, such as William Shakespeare s King Lear convey a similar message. Although blindness is
conceived as the lack of sight by many, metaphorically speaking, blindness is the inability to see and
interpret the truth due to one s deceptiveness and lies. In King Lear, Lear s blindness towards Goneril
and Regan, and his arrogance, results in his downfall. Similarly, Gloucester s blind eye towards
Edmund results in his downfall and ironically, his loss of eye sight. Shakespeare conveys, through the

does not see what Regan and Goneril are planning and more importantly what his blindness will lead

Though Lear is blind, he realizes later what he has done after his downfall. When Regan and Goneril

grow up to be knocked down by economic issues, difficult labor, and especially men.
She is being raised in a world where women are expected to suffer silently and to be at the mercy of
their men. However, men were not expected to return this slave like behavior for the women. This
setting of the novel allows the reader to see exactly how treacherous life can be. This suffering is so
present in Estrella s family s lives, yet she somehow is able to bring the family along no matter how
difficult the situation may be. She is still trapped in between two very different worlds: She tried to

Discussion Questions On Formal Language
ENG1502
59579064
Assignment 3 [837921]
Question 1
1.1) One expects to find formal language in any place of work and authority such as businesses, court,
parliament, newspapers etc. Any profession which is associated with a high level of education and
order. Formal language is also known to reflect on the speaker s social class. It shows what type of
school you attended, how you were raised and your heritage. Informal language is more commonly
heard in a social environment. For example when you are at a braai or attending a family function. The
people present usually know each other so the atmosphere is more relaxed and there is not an essential
requirement for formality. Informal language is usually used on social media platforms or instant
messaging.
1.2) If you were to address your colleagues, you would need to do it in a formal manner. You should
gather as many facts as possible and also listing as many possible solutions as you can find. Facts and
solutions help in strengthening your argument. This information would be presented to the board to try
and convince them to agree with your point of view. Whereas in a social environment with your
friends informal language could be used. You could discuss teenage pregnancy and give your personal
thoughts and opinions on the topic. Your thought would not need to be supported by facts as it could
be opinion based.
1.3) Whenever you are addressing someone professional, you are required and expected to use formal
language.

The Garden fete, that was held at St Peter s church, Woolton in Liverpool that year was the starting point of the meeting of two young boys, James Paul McCartney and john Winston Lennon. It was the first meeting of the partnership that made the legendary songwriting duo for the band the Beatles, creating hits such as hard days night(she loves you) to let it be from the 1960s to the end of 1969, where they like to call them self as Lennon McCartney ; meet each other for the first time formally in both their lives. • 3. Contemporary Social Issues Of DACA Part I Introduction: The Contemporary Social Issue of DACAA social issue that is currently whirling around the United States is the discussion of what is going to happen with DACA recipients. DACA stands for The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and they are also commonly referred to as Dreamers (Michelle Mark 2017). The DACA act was set in place in 2012 by President Barrack Obama and it provided young immigrants the chance to apply for temporary protection from deportation. Often times children are too young to know what is going on and their parents bring them into the United States so they are then protected under the DACA act. It is also only eligible to immigrants who have been in the United States since 2007 and were under 16 years of age; 30 or younger as of June 2012, in high school or have a diploma or GED and a clean criminal record (Dara Lind 2017). The program does not grant legal status, put them on a path to citizenship and or legalization (Michelle Mark 2017). The protection does allow these people to get authorization to work and obtain a valid driver s license in some states. DACA provides the opportunity for them to have the chance to further their education, buy cars, homes and even the possibility of starting a business (Dara Lind 2017). Currently 800, 000 people depend on the DACAAct in the United States (Michelle Mark). Without the DACAAct, the recipients are essentially an illegal immigrant. Now what makes DACA a social issue is that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Women s clothing showed very little skin, the opposite shown in the film, The female extras complained about their overly tight and revealing costumes, (anothermag.com). • 5. The Use Of Personal Digital Assistants, Or Pdas, By... There has been increase in the use of personal digital assistants, or PDAs, by individuals Traumatic Brain Injury or TBI. These devices are being used to help TBI patients with everyday activities such as keeping up with appointments, medication management, daily tasks, etc. Due to behavioral memory deficits that are common among TBI patients, these daily activities are difficult for these individuals. In the past low tech items were used such as daily planners and strategically placed notes, but due to the growth of high tech instruments, such as smartphones, personal computers, and PDAs, the low tech devices are being used less (Gentry, Wallace, Kvarfordt, Lynch 2008 19 24). In the early stages of high tech device use among TBI patients there were three popular computer programs that were used, but they were contained to desktop computers, which makes them useless outside of the individual s home. Once PDA s were introduced these programs became obsolete. An early study of PDA use included the use a program called Psion Organizer. The study found that most TBI patients with memory deficits preferred the PDA and Psion Organizer over other low tech instruments. The Psion Organizer software is no longer available and been replaced with other software such as Palm systems. There has not been a study done on the Palm operating system. Research has been done on software specifically developed for TBI patients(Gentry, Wallace, Kvarfordt, Lynch 2008 19 24). The study ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Purpose Of Fractional Distillation Discussion The purpose of this experiment is to identify two compounds from an unknown given liquid by separating them into three components using fractional distillation. Distillation is the act of heating and cooling liquids in order to obtain a pure sample. There are two main types of distillation: simple distillation and fractional distillation. Simple distillation is the most basic form of a distillation. This method is more helpful when the separation between a liquid and a solid needs to happen or between two liquids with boiling points that have a difference of about 50°C or higher. Fractional distillation is similar to simple distillation; however, it is used to separate two liquids with similar boiling points. Fractional distillation works by first heating up the solution of the two liquids. Once the solution begins to boil, the unknown compound that has a lower boiling point will evaporate and rise into a distillation apparatus. The newly formed gas will travel through the apparatus until it is cooled down, at which point the gas will not be able to maintain the energy needed for this specific phase, and will begin to condense back into a liquid. The same process will occur with the second liquid, the only difference being that it needed a higher temperature in order to transform into a gas. The two new liquids will each have a higher percentage of the unknown compound, thus making them have a higher purity rate. The second technique that will be used to identify ... Nordstrom uses demand forecasting to minimize leftover inventory. Nordstrom s total corporate management is based on two main goals. Second is to present customers and sales associates with a wide ranging view of Nordstrom s entire inventory, including all stores and warehouses. Question 4 Nordstrom has done a lot to their technology department since 2009 to compete with competitors in the online market. If there were ideas that I could suggest for them, I would say that in their search area on the sites, they can still add more functions, such as a rating system where customers can rank the product on how good it is. Companies such as Macy s and Nike have a customer rating system for clothing, so buyers know which products are being liked and which ones aren t. Also, in the online inventory, Nordstrom needs to include which products are new, and which ones are old because it is not listed on their site. • 8. Use Of Biodiesel Over Petroleum Diesel 1.0 Thesis: The use of biodiesel over petroleum diesel can be proven be easier to make, more energy efficient and a greener way to run you vehicle. 2.1 Argument 1: Process The use of biodiesel over the more common petroleum diesel has become a more frequent sight as people strive for an easier and more environmental beneficial way to run their vehicle with only small modifications needed. Unlike diesel which uses crude oil, biodiesel is made by converting oils such as waste vegetable oils to bio diesel. Diagram 1: Waste oil As can be seen in the comparison matrix like conventional petrol, biodiesel is also made up of long chains of hydrogen and carbon atoms, though as can be seen in diagram 1 the oils used to create biodiesel are slightly different in having three chains of these fatty acids being connected by a backbone of glycerine. To be able to use these oils for fuel the glycerine backbone has to be removed, which is done through a process called transesterification. Equation 1: transesterification process The transesterification process uses alcohols such as methanol which is seen in equation 1 to break the bonds between the fatty acid chains and the glycerol backbone. Once the glycerol bonds have been broken away from the fatty acid chain, they are then replaced by methoxy groups from the methanol used in the process. According to (The Cemistry of Biodiesel, 2014) this process is best done at a temperature of around 50°C for a complete ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Health Care For Medical Errors One change in healthcare that is likely to happen is the increasing transition to a more quality and value based approach. This is in part due to reimbursement model changes regarding patient outcomes as well as ethical concerns about the large number of preventable errors that continue to occur in our current system (Sachs, 2015). Between 210,000 and 400,000 deaths happen yearly due to medical errors in addition to approximately 4,000,000 to 8,000,000 errors that cause serious harm. It is clear that high costs are not providing excelling results. As our current system continues to shift in this value based direction, we will likely see even further changes in how and where care and treatments are provided (Phillips, 2015). For instance, home visits are beginning to be utilized to provide care for minor and chronic conditions. As in centuries past, basic health care is starting to be delivered in a patient s home. Hospital care is expensive comparatively, and the risk for complications such as medical errors, infection, and other hospital acquired conditions increases. The use of urgent care centers is also growing rapidly as they can provide quicker, cheaper, and equally effective services to individuals than the emergency room which used to care for these patients very ineffectively. This trend towards more cost effective, value oriented care can also be seen in the increasing use of lower cost outpatient surgery centers performing procedures that used to be performed in ... No that is not a typo, this is real life. It was a hard fought battle between Hillary Clinton and the Donald which ultimately lead to one of the most shocking upsets in recent American politics. Being that the odds were heavily stacked against Trump as poll after poll predicted Clinton be the victor, it was to the astonishment of many that he reigned victorious during this 2016 presidential election cycle. Be it the will of the country (or in this case electoral college ) this poisonous cheeto will now be the 45th president of the United States. So how did this happen, what was it about Trump that pushed voter behavior in his favor in many key battleground states? Trumps victory lies in the hands of the silent majority who at this point were dying for change and saw it within the republican nominee. The biggest contributing factor to Trump s win on November 8 was retrospective voting which a lot of voters clearly engaged in this election cycle. When making the decision of who to vote for during an election, voters often tend to start looking within at their own situation before throwing their support at a candidate. The obtained X ray diffraction patterns confirmed the formation of a single phase cubic spinel structure for the ferrite samples with a crystallite size ranging from 25 34nm as reported earlier [16]. The X ray diffraction patterns were fitted using a Rietveld refinement procedure as shown in Fig 2 [17,18]. The fitted patterns were observed for eight peaks indexed by miller indices (220), (311), (222), (400), (422), (511) and (440), evident from the normal XRD patterns as reported earlier [16]. From the Fig 2 it is observed that sharpness in the peak is increased with an observed decrease in the width of the peak, which is the indication of the increase in particle size of the ferrite with the increase in Indium content. From the Fig 2 it is evident that observed patterns were exactly coinciding with the calculated values and the difference is very negligible. In comparison with the normal XRD patterns Rietveld patterns have shown some extra peaks of (331), (531), (422), (620), (533) and (622) which correspond to the second order impurity phase. The intensities of the impurity peaks reflect that the percentage of the impurity is negligible. Krispy Kreme wanted to give their customers the hot doughnut experience they all knew and loved (Peter Donnelly, 2011). The second part of their plan was to increase the number of stores both franchises, and company owned nationally. The company began to move into other regions. • 20. Post Civil War North Carolina Post Civil War North Carolina, as a part of the New South , was supposed to be an economically and morally prosperous state that was no longer reliant on slave labor. Unfortunately, the abolition of slavery did not abolish the misfortune of black and white North Carolinians alike before 1900. Racism was still very much alive, blacks did not enjoy the rights they supposedly acquired after the war, the same rich families from before the war were still rich, and the people that were poor before the war were still struggling. The New South mentality attempted to modernize North Carolina s previously agrarian economy through industrialization. Businessmen, such as Richard J. Reynolds, strategically erected factories in North Carolina for access to its prestigious railroads to swiftly transport their products. Factory owners had no trouble finding employees, as many North Carolinians were eager to avoid the hardships of farm labor. Towns began to rise around the factories after the influx of laborers came about. Such a plethora of potential workers allowed factory owners to pay their employees drastically low wages as they reaped the benefits of cheap labor. Low wages combined with pitiful working conditions resulted in these factory towns resembling life on slave plantations before the war. North Carolina tobacco factories manufactured and sold such high volumes of tobacco products world wide that they became the face of the industry. For example, a Bull Durham smoking ... African women are often exploited. A majority of reports on migration into Morocco on to Europe involve trafficking of women (Anyadike, 2015). Many women seek financial security in the form of a sponsor, usually from a man who will accompany and support them. But this type of aid has negative effects, it has caused a stressing issue that creates debt bondage in which they must pay off most commonly through sex work (Anyadike, 2015). Article four of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights prohibits slavery, another unethical practice that Africans have resorted to is in direct violation of the human rights. Again, it is rooted in the weakness of the migrants. Most that participate in sex work have no other options. And those who perpetrate this exploitation have created an unbreakable cycle, forcing African women to be in debt for as long as they can draw it out for. This problem is not going away with the industry of sex trafficking well and live alive, even today; the issue is expanding. In turn, this result in the allowance of the muscles to contract is involuntary and requires no thought. The relationship between the structure and function of the Outer Wall Intestine cells is, in the structure, the fibers are short and not striated, while since the cells are smooth cells this allows the function of the cells to be involuntary and is composed in the lining of the organ. The contractions of the cells allow the organ to keep blood, fluids, and necessary nutrients to flow throughout the organ. Slide 1:Muscle Skeletal Longitudinal Section and Slide 2:Muscle Skeletal Cross Section Yes, there are multiple striations across the width of the Muscle Skeletal Longitudinal Section of the cells and the Muscle Skeletal Cross Section cells. There are several nuclei in both cells. The fibers in both cells are striated, and the fibers are long and each muscle cell is fused to one another. This is why so many nuclei are included. Also, the fibers are almost threadlike, with dark and light colored striations. As a result of the contractions in the Muscle Skeletal Longitudinal Section cells and the Muscle Skeletal Cross Section cells, it allows your muscle to be able to contract in response to nerve stimuli. This means that the movements of most of these muscles are not involuntary, you can control them. Therefore, once the stimulation stops, the muscles relax. Since it turned out that oscillations with low damping have smaller errors than those with high damping, small damping cases are employed to examine the resonance phenomena. Based on the Newton s 2nd Law cite{book}, the motion of oscillations can be modeled by the following differential equation and its solution. begin{equation} label{eq1} ddot x+2gamma dot x+omega_{0}^{2} x=left(frac{F_{0}}{m}right)e^{iomega t} end{equation} begin{equation} label{eq2} x(omega)=frac{F_{0}/m}{omega_{0}^{2} omega^{2}+2igammaomega}=A(omega)cos(omega t phi) end{equation} Acceleration ... The voltage data obtained in Lab View is then converted to the acceleration data by multiplying its amplitudes by the slope of the two calibration points. Here, the voltage data is calibrated with gravity only and with no acceleration. The slope is called calibration factor. Errors for accelerations are the calibration factor times the error of the cursor measurements of Lab View, and that is the minimum difference Lab View can measure. Errors for the phase shifts are obtained by equation ref{eq5} where (Delta f„) is an error for the driven frequency derived from the variation in frequency displayed on the oscilloscope cite{oscilloscope}, (t) is a time shift between the peak of the acceleration of the oscillator and the driven force, (Delta t) is an error for the time derived from the grid square size in the Lab View waveform graph. begin{equation} label{eq5} Delta phi = phi sqrt{(frac{Delta f}{f})^{2}+(frac{Delta t}{t})^{2}} end{equation} At the beginning of the experiment, the natural frequency of the oscillator with neither the eddy currents nor driving force is observed as (omega_{0} = 75.7 pm 0.1 ) rad/s or equivalently (f_{0} = 12.05 pm 0.01 ) Hz. • 29. The South China Sea Essay Since the 3rd Century AD, the South China Sea has been home to countless territorial disputes between China, the Philippines, Vietnam, and other East Asian Nations. This region is so contentious because it is one of the busiest trade routes, and is home to vast natural resources. Because of the long and dense history of them, these disputes are some of the most difficult events to understand and interpret in international relations. Because the disputes deal with relative power, and the security dilemma, looking at the events through a realist lens is the most practical way of analyzing them. Although there have been small disputes dating back to the 3rd Century, conflict in the South China Sea really started to heat up in the early 1900 s. In the 19th Century, France had been heavily involved in the South China Sea because they had colonized French Indochina (present day Vietnam). However France was more concerned about control of the Gulf of Tonkin than the entire South China Sea. The early disputes were primarily over the Paracel Islands, a group of islands somewhat in between China and Vietnam. In 1902 (Serverino, 2010, p.76), China ordered the first official exploration of the islands preemptively because they were worried the the French might try to claim the islands as part of Indochina s territory. Then in the 1920 s, both Japan and France claimed to own the Paracel s. It was around this time that China said the Paracel s were the southernmost part of its territory. ... Organization theory deals with the formal structure, internal working, and external environment of complex human behavior within organizations. As a field spanning several disciplines, it prescribes how work and workers out to be organized and attempts to explain the actual consequences of organizational behavior (including individual behavior) on work done and on the organization itself. (Gordon and Milkavoich, 147) It has been evolving for centuries on how should work be done in the public administration and how the organization should be. I choose to illuminate Thanksgiving because this is a time when family and friends would forget their worries and differences and collectively came together at grandmother s house to partake of the Gullah dishes. Furthermore, it serves as a vehicle in stimulating family health and wellbeing, while passing on the identity of the family throughout generations. As I reminiscence, I can recall the air was bursting with love, hugs, laugher and kisses; a sight to behold. Grandmother s house was small but no one seemed to care as it was inviting. Every area of the house was utilized from the kitchen to the narrow stairway that lead upstairs to the bedrooms. Children were outside playing working up an appetite although there was a chill in the air often going unnoticed, still we were bundled in our hats, coats and mittens. • 32. Analysis Of Beethoven s 9th Symphony For the second and final concert report, I listened to the performance of Beethoven s 9th symphony, as played by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Beethoven lived in Germany during the late 16th and early 17th centuries, and was an influential figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in western music. The performance requires a large number of instruments, with woodwinds, brass, percussion, strings, and even a choir during the 4th movement. The first movement of Beethoven s 9th is quick, driving forward and at times giving the feeling of rushed urgency, while maintaining a composed majesty beneath the surface. This is reflected in the original tempo marking of allegro ma non troppo, un poco maestoso, meaning literally quickly but not too fast, a little majestic . The movement begins with a the strings playing intervals over a quiet string tremolo, reminiscent of an orchestra tuning themselves before a performance. This crescendos to a loud and bombastic introduction of the first movement s main theme and the introduction of the brass section. The first movement also makes heavy use of dynamic contrast, with large crescendos that swell in time with the music and diminuendos that quickly reign in the impressive power of the full symphony orchestra. The first movement also follows a traditional sonata form, with the main theme having variations throughout the roughly 18 minutes of play time. When deciding what to do, Lisa needs to be sure it is in the best interest of her needs. She can inform the CEO Ray Smith of her sexual orientation, as he wants the company to become more progressive and would (allegedly) not be bothered by her sexuality. However, the rest of her coworkers still feel that Gay people are immoral, disgusting people. Even if the CEO did not mind her sexuality, her coworkers would still see her in a different light. I feel the best decision that Lisa can make is to look for different work, with a more open, progressive company, then resign from Verizon. This decision would allow her time to get her finances in order. However, if she had a large savings, then the best decision would be to resign immediately, because being around such bigoted individuals would cause her undue stress, and her performance may be affected. Nature And Nurture In Lord Of The Flies A feral child (also, colloquially, wild child) is a human child who has lived isolated from human contact from a very young age, and has no (or little) experience of human care. It is said that feral children are the real life experiment that we cannot ethically carry out. They question what the defining factors in human nature are and furthermore how much society impacts on our personalities. The texts I have chosen are Romulus and Remus (Roman myth), The Girl with no Name by Lynne Barret Lee, The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling and Lord of the flies by William Golding. All four texts propose that the experiences we have as a child are the most significant ones in making us who we are. Most texts discuss the idea of Nature Versus Nurture Nature and nurture relates to the inherent qualities (nature) as opposed to personal experiences (nurture). In the 1954 classic Lord of the Flies, Golding slowly shapes the boys and leads the reader from a group of civilized young boys into true savages. Golding uses a metaphor to compare [Jack s] laughter to the bloodthirsty snarling of an animal. This demonstrates to the reader Jack s descent into barbarism and we question whether he is more human or wild animal. The Perception Of Blindness Versus Ability The perception of blindness versus ability to see truths in King Lear Throughout history, noble kings and powerful leaders have fallen from power due to their blindness towards people they trusted. Novels, such as William Shakespeare s King Lear convey a similar message. Although blindness is conceived as the lack of sight by many, metaphorically speaking, blindness is the inability to see and interpret the truth due to one s deceptiveness and lies. Cordelia s reply towards Lear is honest, but less persuasive compared to Regan s or General s and Lear curses Cordelia and tells her that he wishes to never see her again. Lear blinded does not see what Regan and Goneril are planning and more importantly what his blindness will lead him in too.
