Experimental Analysis of Cable Distance Effect on Signal Attenuation in Singl...IJECEIAES
Losses during transmission and high demand of high data rate by the end users have become the biggest challenges facing the telecommunication industries worldwide with Nigeria inclusive. Fiber optic cable as a channel of communication has been adapted worldwide in solving these problems but there is a little limitation in the place of multimode fiber in long distance communication. This paper focuses on the effect of changes in distance on transmitted bandwidth on single mode and multimode fiber. Two cases were considered during this research; (a) with optical amplifier placed in between multimode fiber and (b) without optical amplifier in between multimode fiber. Readings were taken at various distances when specific bandwidth ranging from 50Mbps to 500Mbps was transmitted from the base station to the various distances and it was observed that there was no significant changes in bandwidth received at specified distances (100, 200, 300, 400, 500 etc) m when using single mode fiber, there was a drastic reduction in bandwidth when it get to a distance of 300m when using multimode. When optical amplifier was placed in between the multimode fiber at some selected distances after 400m from the transmitting BTS, it was noticed that the drastic reduction in transmitted bandwidth was almost eliminated, thereby proven that multimode fiber can be use in long distance communication provided optical amplifiers are incorporated in between the distance to bust the signal strength.

Causes of Fiber Cut and the Recommendation to Solve the ProblemIOSRJECE
Optical fiber technology has transformed the telecom landscape in Ghana in recent years owing to its overwhelming advantages over the traditional transmission medium. Though the technology is highly immune to electromagnetic wave, it also offers a higher capacity of bandwidth for data and voice activities. The fiber infrastructure in Ghana has experienced a lot of fiber cuts incidences. And this has affected network quality delivery, increased operational expenditure and decline revenue margins of the telcos. This research was carried out in two phases using MTN Ghana (Western and Central Region) as a case study, to establish the root causes and remedial actions to curb it. First, Pareto and Ishakawa analytical tools were applied to the primary source data for the analysis. Secondly, a purposive survey was administered to acquire additional information. It was established that activities of government sponsored projects and private developers were largely responsible for the menace due to; negligence, ignorance, lack of coordination etc. On the bases, it’s recommended that telcos and stakeholders embark on educational campaign to sensitize the public on optical fiber cables whiles the government of Ghana put in measures to build mandatory right-of-way with support from the private sector.

QoS of Wi-Fi performance based on signal strength and channel for indoor camp...journalBEEI
The implementation of Wi-Fi on campuses brings huge benefits for campus users in communications and education development. Some campuses face existing poor quality of service (QoS) on the Wi-Fi performance which is also unjustified and issues on unsatisfied connections. This research aims to analyses the Wi-Fi performance of the campus network for three indoor access points. Signal strength, usage percentage, channel utilization, and the number of clients count per access points are measured. Results show that 56% is the highest signal percentage and the lowest signal percentage is at 1%. Access point of Ustudent is the highest at 53% and lowest at 38%. The highest signal strength of -45dBm is found and the other two are below by -2 dBm. The lowest signal strength is at -95 dBm. SSID CCNA_1 is identified has the best signal strength compared to other SSIDs because it runs on 5 GHz frequency. The most channels used are channels 1, 4, and 6. Respectively 151, 67, and 57 users are connected to Ustudent, UHotspot, and CCNA_1. This study is significant for the QoS in a campus network in providing good network services. Thus, the QoS on Wi-Fi performance is improvised, monitored and analyzed for continues supports users in the campus network successfully.

The evaluation is performed through a series of scenarios schematizing communication between students and practitioners in an educational context. The first objective is to plan the physical layer via the choice of the suitable transmission standard that satisfy the implementation specifications. Given the real-time traffic considered, a good traffic transmission must be ensured.
A New Data Offloading Framework Between Mobile Network and Campusijsrd.com
Data offloading is a technique to transfer data between different networks like mobile network to WiFi networks. WiFi or Wi-Max networks are very fast and require no spectrum fees to implement them. Whereas Mobile networks require the spectrum reservations which are highly costly and heavily affect the service charges offered by the cellular service providers. In our proposed scenario, we are using controlled data transfer mechanism to offload data between mobile network and campus wireless network to facilitate the calling facility in the campus for the smart-phone users using Wireless network in the campus.

Ultra-Wide Band (10 GHz Bandwidth) Microstrip Patch Antenna for Millimeter Wa...IJAEMSJORNAL
This paper introduces a microstrip patch antenna (MPA) for fifth Generation (5G)/ millimeter-Wave (mm-Wave) applications for frequencies > 50 GHz. The proposed antenna is designed and simulated on a flexible substrate of cotton jean having εr =1.76, δ =0.078, and a height of 1 mm. The designed antenna operates over an impedance bandwidth of 10 GHz with a maximum gain of 6.167 dBi. The antenna patch's largest dimension is 2.82mm (0.52687 λ) and the ground is 8 mm (1.499 λ), whereas λ is calculated at the center frequency of impedance bandwidth.
5G uplink interference simulations, analysis and solutions: The case of pico ...IJECEIAES
The launch of the new mobile network technology has paved the way for advanced and more productive industrial applications based on high-speed and low latency services offered by 5G. One of the key success points of the 5G network is the available diversity of cell deployment modes and the flexibility in radio resources allocation based on user’s needs. The concept of Pico cells will become the future of 5G as they increase the capacity and improve the network coverage at a low deployment cost. In addition, the short-range wireless transmission of this type of cells uses little energy and will allow dense applications for the internet of things. In this contribution, we present the advantages of using Pico cells and the characteristics of this type of cells in 5G networks. Then, we will do a simulation study of the interferences impact in uplink transmission in the case of PICO cells densified deployment. Finally, we will propose a solution for interference avoidance between pico cells that also allows flexible management of bands allocated to the users in uplink according to user’s density and bandwidth demand.

NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN CONDENSING HEAT EXCHANGERS...ssuser7dcef0
Power plants release a large amount of water vapor into the
atmosphere through the stack. The flue gas can be a potential
source for obtaining much needed cooling water for a power
plant. If a power plant could recover and reuse a portion of this
moisture, it could reduce its total cooling water intake
requirement. One of the most practical way to recover water
from flue gas is to use a condensing heat exchanger. The power
plant could also recover latent heat due to condensation as well
as sensible heat due to lowering the flue gas exit temperature.
Additionally, harmful acids released from the stack can be
reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation. reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation.
Condensation of vapors in flue gas is a complicated
phenomenon since heat and mass transfer of water vapor and
various acids simultaneously occur in the presence of noncondensable
gases such as nitrogen and oxygen. Design of a
condenser depends on the knowledge and understanding of the
heat and mass transfer processes. A computer program for
numerical simulations of water (H2O) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4)
condensation in a flue gas condensing heat exchanger was
developed using MATLAB. Governing equations based on
mass and energy balances for the system were derived to
predict variables such as flue gas exit temperature, cooling
water outlet temperature, mole fraction and condensation rates
of water and sulfuric acid vapors. The equations were solved
using an iterative solution technique with calculations of heat
and mass transfer coefficients and physical properties.
