This document describes the design and analysis of a vertical axis wind turbine. The authors used SolidWorks software to simulate and model different turbine designs. CFD analysis was conducted to analyze stress, force, pressure, and friction. A turbine was designed with PVC blades of 41mm radius, 3mm thickness, and 297mm length. This design was found to generate the highest drag force at lower wind velocities. The designed turbine was fabricated using PVC blades, an iron frame, and a 6V generator. Testing showed an output of 0.2V at 80mA for 7m/s winds. In conclusion, the simulated and fabricated vertical axis wind turbine design was found to perform well at capturing energy from low wind speeds.
Design and Manufacturing of Vertical Axis Wind Turbine for Power Generationijtsrd
Vertical axis wind turbine uses a radically new approach to capturing wind energy. The device captures the energy of wind and converts it into mechanical form. As the wind bypasses over a turbine blades, the energy will be transferred to the alternator which will exert the force in the down ward direction. These forces are transferred by the belt and pulley arrangement to the battery. The alternator connected is convert wind energy to mechanical energy. Naturally, the design of such device is completely different from a traditional turbine. in horizontal axis wind turbine we use blades, generator and gear which increase the cost of project by 20 of equipment cost. VMWT puts the technology at the very low range of capital intensity for such projects it also makes it highly competitive not only against generations of alternative or renewable energy, but even compared to conventional technologies. This project increases the efficiency than HAWT. Prof. Gaffar G. Design and analysis of an external rotor internal-stator doubly fed induction...Mellah Hacene
In this paper, a time stepping 2D and 3D FEM is performed for modeling and analysis external rotor DFIG .The finite element method currently represents the state-of-the-art in the numerical magnetic field computation relating to electrical machines. FEM is a numerical method to solve the partial differential equations (PDE) that expresses the physical quantities of interest, in this case Maxwell’s equations. This will result in a more accurate result compared to analytical modeling, which can be regarded as a simplification of the PDE. FEM analysis is used for transient mode, magnetic field calculation, the magnetic flux density and vector potential of machine is obtained. In this model we including, non linear material characteristics, eddy current effect, torque-speed characteristics, ambient temperature effect and magnetic analysis are investigated using MAXWELL program. With this program, the components of the DFIG can be calculated with high accuracy.
The objective of this project is to design a wind turbine that is optimized for the constraints that come with residential use. The main tasks of this project are:
> To study the design process and methodology of wind turbine
> Derive the Blade Element Momentum (BEM) theory then use it to conduct a parametric study that will determine if the optimized values of blade pitch and chord length create the most efficient blade geometry
> Analyse different air-foils to determine which one creates the most efficient wind turbine blade.

Renewable Energy Sources are those energy sources which are not destroyed when their energy is harnessed. The model of wind turbine is based on the steady state power characteristics of the turbine. The stiffness of the drive train is infinite and the friction factor and the inertia of the turbine must be combined with those of the generator coupled to the turbine. In this paper, variable speed wind turbine driving permanent magnet synchronous generator with current controlled voltage source inverter has been proposed. Detailed modeling and control strategies of the overall system has been developed. It is found that under the proposed control strategy the system runs smoothly under randomly and quickly varying wind condition. During both symmetrical and unsymmetrical fault conditions, the system is found stable. Results shows that by using Current Source Inverter CSI stability of wind power can be achieved. By using CSI based Controller voltage source inverter or any separate storage energy system is not required. A model is used to determine the behavior of the wind turbine, induction generator and load. Advancements in technology unveil a myriad of electrical and electronic breakthroughs geared towards efficiently harnessing limited resources to meet human energy demands. The optimization of hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems plays a pivotal role in utilizing natural resources effectively. This initiative not only benefits humanity but also fosters environmental sustainability. The study investigated the design optimization of these hybrid systems, focusing on understanding solar radiation patterns, identifying geographical influences on solar radiation, formulating a mathematical model for system optimization, and determining the optimal configuration of PV panels and pumped hydro storage. Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights for advancing energy research in economically viable areas. Recommendations included conducting site-specific assessments, utilizing advanced modeling tools, implementing regular maintenance protocols, and enhancing communication among system components.
Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
