This project of Maglev windmill on the implementation of an alternate configuration of a wind turbine for power generation purposes. Using the effects of magnetic repulsion, spiral shaped wind turbine blades will be fitted on a rod for stability during rotation and suspended on magnets as a replacement for ball bearings which are normally used on conventional wind turbines. Power will then be generated with an axial flux generator, which incorporates the use of permanent magnets and a set of coils.

Magnetic levitation (Maglev) is a method by which an object is suspended without any support with the help of the strong magnetic field.
The repulsive force of magnets used for the reduction of the effect of gravitational force significantly.
Magnetic force is used for reducing of gravitational force and to lift up the objects in the air.
By this technique implementation of this vertical axis wind turbine is used for having negligible friction.

3. Introduction
Aero dynamic turbines converts the kinetic energy of the
wind to mechanical energy.
A wind turbine obtains power input by converting the
force of the wind into a torque (turning force) acting on
the rotor blades.
The amount of energy which the wind transfers to the rotor
depends on the density of the air, the rotor area, and the
wind speed.
The output of the generator is connected to the load or
the power grid.
The design of the wind turbine is an integral part which
decide the efficiency.

6. PERMANENT MAGNET BRUSHLESS GENERATOR
Permanent magnet
generator is same as that of
shunt motor with the
difference that there is
permanent magnet instead
of stationary field winding for
producing the required
magnetic flux.
Since this is Brushless and
Commutator is absent it
requires practically no
maintenance.
The Life of this type of motor
is longer compared to others.

We had done market survey on Vertical Axis
Wind Turbine(VAWT).
We justify that how to VAWT works and
produces electricity through block diagram.
Also, we understood how to design blade and
measurement of wind speed with use of
anemometer.
