This document describes the design and analysis of an electrically operated bar bending machine. The machine aims to semi-automate the process of bending reinforcement bars, allowing for higher production rates with less manual labor compared to traditional methods. It consists of an electric motor, coupling, worm gear drive, extended shaft, and circular plate. The motor provides power to the gearbox, which bends the bar placed on the circular plate to the required angle. Design calculations are shown for components like the shaft, coupling, and circular plate to validate they can withstand the expected bending forces. The machine is intended to bend rebar diameters from 6 to 16mm and provide an accurate, portable alternative to hydraulic or pneumatic bar bending machines.
