The document presents a study on the stress analysis and optimization of a Piaggio Ape clutch plate using different friction materials, focusing on improving engine performance through effective clutch design. A model was created in Pro-E Creo-5 and analyzed in ANSYS, comparing materials such as cork, Kevlar, and hybrid SA80 to determine the best friction lining. Results indicate that the SA80 material offers lower stress and deformation values, making it more advantageous for use in Piaggio Ape clutch plates compared to others.
