How can you out do the scholars? | Khaalid bin 'Abdur Rahmaan Al HusainaanQuran Juz (Para)
"Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah
with their goods and their persons (An-Nisa 4:95)"
This slide program describes the significance of our strong relation with Allah Subhanahu, our only Creator and Deity. It explains various levels of this relation. It also describes ways to develop this relation in the light of Quran and Sunnah. It outlines impediments in the way to get close to Allah Subhanahu.
- Brief review of Tawheed & brief discussion about Angels & Jinns in Islam.
- As this discussion will cover intangible things which are solely dependent on the belief of Tawheed, it is prudent that we prepare ourselves to accept this information, specially how to deal with these abstract matters, matters which are out of our sight. If one does not believe in Allah then belief in these are solely disputable concepts, not facts. Lets us clear our doubt in light of what Allah & His Prophet (saw) has to say about them and what are the prescribed actions for us to address them.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

25. 7. IMPORTANT TERMS RELATED TO FARDHU’
AYN THAT NEED ELABORATION
An act that is almost as compulsory
as a Fard. The Messenger of Allah
SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam
never omitted it. It is a graded
second, below a Fard in its necessity
1. One who denies a Wajib
is misguided.
3. If one omits a Wajib without any valid
shari'i reason, then he is a transgressor
and liable for the punishment of Hell.
4. To miss a Wajib once is a minor sin .
However, persistently omitting a Wajib
shall turn it into a major sin.
Fardhu or Wajib
26. HARAM
Totally forbidden in
Islam. Haram is
considered the opposite
of Fard.
Anyone who denies
something proven from
the Qur'an and Hadith to
be Haram, becomes a
kafir
If this act is committed deliberately
and intentionally, even once, then
such a person is a transgressor
(fasiq), and has committed a major .
Thus, such a person shall be punished.
SUNNAH
1. THE WAY OF LIFE PRESCRIBED AS
NORMATIVE IN ISLAM, BASED ON THE
TEACHINGS AND PRACTICES OF
MUHAMMAD AND ON EXEGESIS OF THE
QURAN. ALSO CALLED HADITH.
27. An act that is disliked by
the Shari'ah.
If this act is done, then
there is no sin or
punishment. However, it is
bad to make it a habit of
doing such an act
One gains reward
for not doing it
MUBAH
1.AN ACT THAT IS NEITHER COMMANDED
NOR PROHIBITED BY THE SHARI'AH.
2.THERE IS NO REWARD FOR DOING IT,
AND NO PUNISHMENT OR OMITTING IT.
28. THREE CATEGORIES OF THE MUSLIM
SCHOLARS
•DARURIYAT
MEANS ABSOLUTE NEED. WHICH MAY RESULT IN LIFE & DEATH IN ITS
CONSEQUENCES
•HAJIYYAT
LINKED WITH SUNNAH OR MAKRUH. CAN BE LABELLED AS A NESSITY RELATED TO
STRENGTH & WEAKNESS
•TAHSINIYAT
RELATED WITH SOMETHING WHICH IS MUBAH AS IT FURTHER EASES & BEAUTIFIES
THE LIVELIHOOD OF A PERSON
29. LESSONS GAINED
• SEEKER OF TRUTH & KNOWLEDGE SHOULD BE REMINDED THAT ALLAH IS THE SOURCE OF ALL
WISDOM & KNOWLEDGE.
• KNOWLEDGE OF RELIGION REVEALED TO MANKIND IS NIKMAT & RAHMAT FROM ALLAH TO
HUMANS.
• RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IS BASIC AND FUNDAMENTAL
“LIFE WILL BE TOTAL DARKNESS IF MAN IS DEPRIVED OF RELIGIOUS
GUIDANCE”
