The document discusses creativity, innovation, and personality. It begins by providing examples of sunrise and sunset industries and how companies must adapt to changing technologies. It then discusses how time-based competition can provide competitive advantages. The document outlines factors that contribute to national and business competitiveness. It emphasizes that innovation results from hard work and discipline rather than genius. The document also discusses five important minds for the future: disciplinary, synthesizing, creating, respectful, and ethical. It examines the relationship between innovation and personality by exploring the concepts of integrity, enthusiasm through desire, passion and hope, and the importance of totality by integrating the body, spirit, and mind. Finally, it discusses how spirituality is an important element for organizational success

Our ability to learn new ways to think is the power of human potential. We have to make choices about the types of thinking that we apply to a variety of different challenges. Critical Thinking is the act of examining a set of facts and analyzing and evaluating relevant information. We live in a knowledge based society, and the more critically you think the better your knowledge will be. Critical Thinking provides you with the skills to analyze and evaluate information so that you are able to obtain the greatest amount of knowledge from it. It provides the best chance of making the correct decision, and minimizes damages if a mistake does occur. Critical Thinking will lead to being a more rational and disciplined thinker. It will reduce your prejudice and bias, which will provide you a better understanding of your environment.
This workshop will provide you the skills to evaluate, identify, and distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information. It will lead you to be more productive in your career, and provide a great skill in your everyday life. Lastly, critical thinking skills will support your capacity to be innovative. Once you fully understand what it is, you can begin exploring what could be.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to answer the following questions:
a. What is critical thinking?
b. How can I use nonlinear thinking strategies?
c. What does it mean for me to apply logic to situations?
d. How do I know when, how, and why to think critically about a challenge?
e. What skills allow be to better evaluate facts and data?
f. How will thinking differently effect my decision outcomes?
g. How can I challenge my self to see alternate perspectives?
h. How can I increase my problem solving abilities?
Management of creativity; Stimulating individual creativity ... Lateral thinking , Checklists, Morphological analysis;; Stimulating group creativity ... Brainstorming, Slipwriting;; Edward De Bono's Six Thinking Hats...
Most people are born creative. As children, we revel in imaginary play, ask outlandish questions, draw blobs and call them dinosaurs. But over time, because of socialization and formal education, a lot of us start to stifle those impulses. We learn to be warier of judgment, more cautious, more analytical. The world seems to divide into “creatives” and “noncreatives,” and too many people consciously or unconsciously resign themselves to the latter category.
And yet we know that creativity is essential to success in any discipline or industry. According to a recent IBM survey of chief executives around the world, it’s the most sought-after trait in leaders today. No one can deny that creative thinking has enabled the rise and continued success of countless companies, from start-ups like Facebook and Google to stalwarts like Procter & Gamble and General Electric.
In this presentation you will discover why you lost your creative confidence—the natural ability to come up with new ideas and the courage to try them out, and how to restore it back.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

advantage with turn-around
time three or four times faster
than its competitor, it will almost
always grow three times
faster than the average for the
industry and will be twice as
profitable as the average for all
competitors” (Geogre Stalk,
1990).
5. Personality, Innovation, and
Matter of Self-Discipline
It is the result of
hardwork, well planned
and executed, and is no
happening. Innovation
is work rather than
genius,… and very
much a matter of
discipline” (Peter F.
Drucker, 1985).
6. 1. The disciplinary mind: mindset that is
built through the learning process;
2. The synthesizing mind: ability to combine
different disciplines.
3. The creating mind: ability to find answers
to a phenomenon that occurs.
4. The respectful mind: awareness to
appreciate the differences created between
human.
5. The ethic mind: high sense of
responsibility to uphold accountability,
integrity, and credibility.

7. Between
Innovation, and Personal Totality
"Personality is the dynamic organization within the individual of
those psycho-physical systems that determine his
characteristics behavior and though" (Allport, 1961, p. 28).
“The characteristics or blend of characteristics that make a
person unique” (Weinberg & Gould, 1999).
Personality refers to individuals' characteristic
patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior,
together with the psychological mechanisms
(hidden or not) behind those patterns (Funder,
D. C., 1997)
8. Components of
Personality
• Consistency: There is generally a recognizable order and regularity
to behaviors. Essentially, people act in the same ways or similar
ways in a variety of situations.
• Psychological: Personality is a psychological construct, but
research suggests that it is also influenced by biological
processes and needs.
• It impacts behaviors and actions: Personality does not just
influence how we move and respond in our environment; it
also causes us to act in certain ways.
• Multiple expressions: Personality is displayed in more than just
behavior. It can also be seen in our thoughts, feelings, close
relationships and other social interactions.
10. Integrity
INTEGRITY:
“Fit between word and actions as seen by
others. It means promise keeping and
showing values you profess” ( Simmons, Tony,
2008).
Honesty Truthfulness
Fit of Goodness
11. Enthusiasm
Desire
These states of mind, sometimes
called ‘desires’, are said to be of
particular interest to ethicists
interested in the possibility of
belief-like attitudes motivating
action all on their own (Smith,
1994; Zangwill 2008).
12. Enthusiasm
Desire Passion
Every great dream begins with a
dreamer. You have within you the
strength, the patience, and the
passion to reach for the stars to
change the world. Passion is
energy. Feel the power that comes
from focusing on what excites you.
13. Passion
If passion drives you, let
reason hold the reins. But,
there is no passion to be
found playing small, in
settling for a life that is less
than the one you are capable
of living. And so, develop a
passion for learning. If you
do, you will never cease to
grow.
14. Passion
Born from him three things:
• Desire to create—A strong desire to create innovative products.
Example: Thomas A. Edison, who created: sound and visual
recording devices, lights, and telephone.
• Challenging spirit—Pleasure to accept the challenge, find, and
conquer it to ignite the explosion potential.
• Curiosity—A kind of psychological
conditions that overwhelmed a
strong desire to find basically
anything to the source and find the
root of the answer.
15. Enthusiasm
Desire Passion Hope
Hope is like the sun, which, as we
journey toward it, casts the shadow
of our burden behind us. Hope is
being able to see that there is
light despite all of the darkness.
Hope is important because it can
make the present moment less
difficult to bear. If we believe that
tomorrow will be better, we can
bear a hardship today.
16. Hope
Three grand essentials to happiness in this life are
something to do, something to love, and something to
hope for. We have always held to the hope, the belief, the
conviction that there is a better life, a better world, beyond
the horizon.
Learn from yesterday, live for
today, hope for tomorrow. The
important thing is not to stop
questioning.
17. Totality
Body Spirit
Mind
INTEGRATING
Totality is a combination of physical strength, the strength of reason, and
spiritual powers are united to move the spirit to continue moving forward
and realize the objectives that have been planned
