Times Inc was founded in 1922 and is now a major media company reaching global audiences. While it owns over 90 magazine brands across many genres, it only publishes one music magazine currently. This leaves an opening for a new indie music magazine to fill a gap in their portfolio. Times Inc would be suitable to publish and distribute the proposed new magazine worldwide due to their large social media presence, which would aid marketing to the target 17-30 year old audience.
