 Base station acts as a multiport repeater
    Ceiling transmitter broadcasts signal received by IR
     transceivers
    IR transceivers transmit with directional beam aimed at
     ceiling base unit

 All IR transmitters focused and aimed at a point on
  diffusely reflecting ceiling
 IR radiation strikes ceiling
