So, while doing my best to effectively research the subject enough to write a paper
on it, it became rather apparent that I was not mathematically inclined enough to
fully understand how the law actually works. However, I was able to understand
that the law has gone through a very long period of time where researchers and
theorists have worked and worked to prove that there is some form of proof that
this is more than a random occurrence, but still haven t come up with any REAL

more of a strange coincidence, or an act of god, rather than proof of statistical ...
The actual measures of probability were discovered by the creator of Benford s Law,
Frank Benford, when he decided to test a strange occurrence described by an
American astronomer by the name of Simon Newcomb. In 1881, Newcomb noticed
that the earlier pages of a textbook containing logarithm tables, mainly with the
leading number of one, were significantly more worn that latter pages. Benford
decided to see if there actually was a statistical reasoning to this.

Benford took Newcomb s findings to a new level and began taking roughly 20,229
different observations from a varied range of areas all the way from residential

What was the issue at stake in Bleeding Kansas, and how did events in Kansas
reflect the growing sectional division between the North and the South? The
Kansas Nebraska act of 1854 allowed for Kansas to decide whether it should be a
slave state or not. This would be determined by popular sovereignty, meaning that
the majority on one particular side would be the ultimate decision. This caused an
influx of people into Kansas to try and sway the decision of the state. There were
both proslavery and antislavery citizens going to Kansas. As a result of this, there

30 April 2015 Introduction There is a growing need to connect to internal networks
from locations other than the regular and secure office. Employers and organizations
need to realize that employees often need to connect to internal private networks from
home, hotels, airports, etc. A solution for this problem is using a virtual private
network (VPN), which is a network that uses public network paths, but maintains the
security and protection of private networks. Secure communication is expensive, but
VPNs allow organizations to have a number of discrete communication services for a
large amount of clients. It is cheaper to have a copious amount of virtual networks on
a couple physical devices than having a copious amount of physically discrete devices
accomplishing the same objective.
Methodology
VPNs transmit data through secure tunneling. A packet is first encapsulated in a
new packet with a new header and then sent through the tunnel, which is normally
IPSec, L2TP, PPTP, or SSL. Both points of the tunnel need to support the protocol
used. To provide access to the internet, the packet with a private IP address can be
sent inside of a packet with a global IP address. For security, VPNs use encryption to
make sure packets are indecipherable without the proper keys, which provides data
confidentiality. They also provide data integrity using a message digest to ensure the
information has not been tampered with

Kanye West has proven himself over time that he is much more than just a
producer. With each new album he releases, he constantly pushes the boundaries of
music influencing artist across all genres. Kanye has an ever evolving sound that
changes almost year to year. Kanye West s Yeezus album is an album that takes a
much darker and more minimalist turn in his discography. This approach to music
makes Yeezus a much harder album to listen through because it is not filled with
nice, polished sounds. Having the album made this way makes us look over what
the message of a song and the album are. Among many rough songs one the most
popular on the album was Blood on the Leaves. Blood on the Leaves samples from
another song called Strange Fruitsung by Nina Simonewhich is a very political song
talking about gruesome lynchings that happened before and at the turn of the century.
With help from the sample, West uses the pain of lynching and drug abuse to
compare with the break ups he goes through.
The instrumental of the song starts off very slow at the beginning we can hear a piano
in the background that slowly begins to play. Over this soft piano sound we hear
Nina Simone break through. She sets us up with an interesting imagery of strange

My Classroom Layout For Twenty Four Fourth Graders
I chose to design my classroom layout for twenty four fourth graders. When
designing my class, I reminded myself that I may have students in my class with
special needs. For this reason, my classroom is designed so that anyone can get to
one point to another without any problems. The rows between all the clusters of
desks are wide, and there is a pathway around the whole room that can be used to go
to different parts of my room. There is also a tableat the back of the room that students
with handicap disabilities may use if a deskis not suitable for them. This table may
also be useful for students with an aide. Although it is located in the back of the
room, it is still near the clusters of desks so these students will not feel left out from
the rest of the class.
I chose to arrange my students desks in clusters of four, so that my students will be
able to interact on specific assignments and group activities daily. I will not have
four random students in each group, but rather place a high, low, low medium, and
high medium learning ability student in each cluster. This will allow me to
sometimes pair two lows or two highs or a high and a low together. This will be an
advantage for all students because the highs will be able to assist the lows by

Restriction enzymes cut DNA at certain sites to create multiple DNA fragments.
Restriction enzyme HindIII has known DNA fragment lengths and recognition sites
when digesting lambda DNA, while the lambda DNA recognition site for restriction
enzyme XhoI is unknown. The goal of this study is to determine the lambda
recognition site of XhoI by comparing a HindIII digest and a HindIII and XhoI
double digest on an electrophoresis gel. The HindIII digest had a band at 9.4 kb, but
this band was not visible in the double digest, therefore we concluded the recognition

XhoI is a type I restriction enzyme, so the location of the recognition site on
lambda DNA is unknown but it is known that it cleaves at CTCGAG sites (XhoI
(10u/ul)). While the DNA fragment lengths and cleavage sites are known for

The goal of this study is to determine the recognition site of XhoI on lambda DNA
by comparing the DNA fragments from a HindIII digest to the DNA fragments of
a HindIII and XhoI digest. We will do this by creating a mixture of solutions
containing only DNA, DNA and HindIII, DNA and XhoI, and DNA, HindIII and
XhoI. We will then run a gel electrophoresis, which will separate the DNA,
fragments by size and we will compare the DNA fragments from each solution.
Through comparing the DNA fragments from the HindIII digest and the HindIII and
XhoI double digest, we will be able to determine the XhoI recognition site on the
lambda DNA.
Methods
Preparation of restriction digest solutions:
To begin the process to determine the XhoI recognition site in the lamda DNA
fragment we first prepared 4 tubes of solutions containing 10X Optizyme reaction
buffer, sterile water, lambda DNA (0.3 ug/ul), XhoI (10u/ul, 3000u), and HindIII
(10u/ul, 7500ul). Tube 1 contained 2ul 10X Optizyme, 16ul sterile water, and 2ul
lambda DNA. Tube 2 contained 2ul 10X Optizyme, 14ul sterile water, 2ul lambda

Eliot was an American British author, critic, playwright, and poet. After attending
Smith Academy, and Milton Academy, he went on to graduate in just 3 years at
Harvard University. He also got his masters and did doctoral work. He attended

Eliot described the afternoon as spread out against the sky like a patient etherized
upon a table. (Eliot 2) in the beginning of the passage, he is describing the sky as a
patient on an operating table under anesthesia. Again, in a later stanza, he says it
sleeps so peacefully! Smoothed by long fingers, asleep ... tired ... or it malingers,
stretched on the floor. (Eliot 75 78). This metaphor is being echoed through the
passage, presenting an eerie and dark setting. This relates directly back to the
reoccurring theme of death and isolation with his use of fearsome imagery. He
obscures the long description of the sky using fragmentation, breaking up the
different images into smaller parts and placing them in different stanzas in the

country children are victims of malnourishment from a very young age. As you can
imagine, growing up in conditions such as these lead to impacts on their education

knowledge, or support these youth get pushed into a life of alcoholism, drug

2004 movie the Notebook directed by Nick Cassavetes we see an unlikely romance
