attrition. Vincent Tinto constructed new trains of thought with his avant garde study
in 2001. Tinto was led to revise his work in 2005 in the midst of criticism competing
theorists. These scholars set the precedent for modern research conducted in the field

are contrived around the same basic theories.

1117 In a time when the first shots of the American Revolution was starting in
Lexington and Concord in 1775, and the Revolution of 1800 which ended the
Federalist Party s control of American politics. It is in this context, that the desire for
change ignited with the use of violence in the new nation. Two significant changes in
violent protest in America from 1763 to 1791 were the results that ensued from the
wealthy elite fearing the common people, and the enemy that the common people
attacked. Admittedly, one significant continuity in violent protest in America from
1763 to 1791 was that the rebellions were always led by ordinary people to change
government to benefit themselves. In the beginning of the period beginning in 1763,
the first rebellion occurred in America, The March of the Paxton Boys. The Paxton
Boy were Scots Irish frontiersmen who created a small group in 1763 to retaliate
against the the native attacks on the western frontier of Virginia and Pennsylvania

Model
Before the decision of our final residential location choice model, we tested how
preferences of residential location are different among age and income groups.
Stratifying the sample of households by age and income is helpful to identify some
of the heterogeneity in housing preferences among different market segments as
well as investigate whether differences of location preferences exist between
different groups. All the household location choice models performed reasonably
well as shown in table 1, 2, and 3. The empirical results show that different age
groups have different residential location preferences. As shown in Table 1, the
access to employment is statistically significant and positive in Groups 1 and 3 but
insignificant in Group 2. This result implies that job opportunity is an important
factor in the household residential location choice decision, especially for the young
and old household groups. On the other hand, households in Group 2 do not tend to
prefer the location where job opportunity is relatively good, although it is not
statistically significant. Rather, land price is positive and significant in Group 2,
which means they are likely to choose the location where land price is high. This
may be because most households in Group 2 consider their children s education in

This approach to research has obvious advantages, namely its objectivity. It cannot
be considered bias or subverted due to the theorisers own predispositions or
opinions and it should therefore be true of itself; it is not subject to change as it
merely categorises a factual state and it provides definitive answers from its research
as opposed to just more questions or debatable theories. It does however have a
number of disadvantages. It is arguable that the scientific method has no place in
political theory as much of it is based in abstract theorising which cannot be
objectively proved one way or the other and as such would be dismissed as
irrelevant by the scientific methods (which is clearly wrong). Further, unlike in the
natural sciences, the scientific method tends to be only descriptive of political
science and does not in fact advance it in any way, rather it merely attempts to
describe the state it is presently in (for example, it would not predict who will win
the next election, but it would say who won the last one). Therefore, the scientific
method is best used if we wish the results of our research to return as objective facts,
empirically provable and repeatable. Whilst this does not necessarily have a major
place in political sociology, it is useful in interpreting quantifiable results that are not
statistical in nature.
