Gcse Essay
Writing a GCSE essay can be a challenging task, requiring a combination of research, critical
thinking, and effective communication skills. The difficulty lies not only in the need to
understand and analyze the topic thoroughly but also in presenting one's thoughts in a coherent
and organized manner.
Firstly, the research aspect demands a thorough exploration of the subject matter. This involves
gathering relevant information from various sources, such as textbooks, articles, and online
resources. Understanding the nuances of the topic and discerning credible information from less
reliable sources is a crucial skill.
Moreover, crafting a compelling thesis statement that encapsulates the main argument is essential.
This requires a deep understanding of the topic and the ability to articulate a clear and concise
point of view. Constructing an outline to organize thoughts and ideas before delving into the
actual writing process can help maintain focus and coherence.
The writing itself poses another set of challenges. Striking the right balance between providing
evidence to support arguments and maintaining a fluid and engaging writing style can be tricky.
The need for proper grammar, syntax, and vocabulary adds an additional layer of complexity to
the task.
Furthermore, the essay should exhibit critical thinking skills by analyzing different perspectives,
anticipating counterarguments, and presenting a well-reasoned conclusion. This requires the
ability to think critically and analytically, evaluating information and drawing informed
conclusions.
In conclusion, writing a GCSE essay is no small feat. It demands a combination of research,
critical thinking, and effective communication skills. However, with dedication and practice, one
can develop the necessary skills to navigate through the challenges and produce a well-crafted
essay.
If you find yourself struggling with similar tasks or wish to explore alternative methods, it's
worth considering external assistance. Services like HelpWriting.net offer the option to order

Head Trauma Case Study
Child abuse unfortunately is prevalent in society today. It is estimated that there are
more than 119,000 cases of child abuse, and 600 fatalities from it each year
(Lindberg, Berger, Reynolds, Alwan Harper, 2014). Although it is not a relatively
uncommon occurrence, it can be very difficult to diagnose (Fingarson Pierce, 2012).
Physical abuse can range from broken bones to intracranial bleeds, but one of the
most fatal types of abuse is head trauma. Another name commonly used for abusive
head trauma is shaken baby syndrome. Many professionals have moved away from
using this term because it does not describe a specific injury, rather it defines a
particular mechanism. Studies have shown that shaking is the most often reported
mechanism in serious and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Studies have shown that an abdominal CT is able to show trauma to many different
abdominal organs including the liver, intestines, mesentery, kidneys, spleen, and
more. Though an abdominal CT is very helpful at visualizing trauma, it is difficult
to tell if an abdominal trauma is accidental or non accidental. Because of this it is
very important that in cases of suspected abuse with abdominal trauma the patient s
story and the injuries plausibly fit together. (Hilmes, Hernanz Schulman, Greeley,
Piercey, Yu Kan, 2011). A thoracic CT can also be ordered in cases of suspected
abuse, but are not common. One study found after performing both a thoracic CT
and rib x rays on post mortem children that were victims of child abuse that a
thoracic CT was better at identifying rib fractures. Specifically, the CT was much
better at identifying both anterior and posterior rib fractures. Although the thoracic
CT was better able to identify the rib fractures, it is not the standard exam ordered
when abuse or rib fractures are suspected. This is due to the increased dose to the
pediatric patient (Hong, Reyes, Moineddin, Chiasson, Berdon Babyn,
Dracul Gothic Fiction In The Victorian Era
In the Victorian Era, Gothic fiction was an exceedingly popular literature genre
among numerous people because it was relatively new. Such elements as death,
gloom, suspense, mystery, and terror make up a Gothic novel in literature. The novel
Dracula, written by Bram Stoker, was the ideal Gothic fiction in the 19th century and
still is today because of its incorporation of vampires, castles, spine chilling murders,
and overpowering emotions which contribute to the Gothic atmosphere. Draculais set
in Transylvania, during the Victorian Era. The setting is extremely significant in
Dracula because it contributes abundantly to the Gothic atmosphere the novel
possesses. In this novel, the setting includes wild Transylvanian landscapes, dreary
buildings, secret hidden rooms, an asylum, and a graveyard. Such setting
contribute to the novel s gothic ambiance because they are places that usually tend
to reveal a perturbing feeling to those surrounding it. The most seen settings in the
novel Dracula is Dracula s castle, the graveyard by St. Mary s Church and Dr.
Seward s asylum which all contain gloomy features that contribute to the Gothic
atmosphere in Dracula. Dracula s castle is described as It contains all in all some
twenty acres, quite surrounded by the solid wall above mentioned. There are many
trees on it, which makes it in places gloomy, and there is a deep, dark looking pond
or small lake... (Stoker 22). The castle s abundant amount of trees surrounding the

Individual Differences In Fatigue Research
An important aspect which undoubtedly influences spirituality as a dimension of
QoL of patients is fatigue (factor 1 and 4). Many OA and RA patients participate
in religious activities such as prayer and are influenced by beliefs. According to the
perceptions of patients faith and participation in religious activities can be helpful in
reducing levels of perceived fatigue , pain, and improving quality of life. Baets
Bowen et al exploring the role of spirituality in chronic conditions and fatigue found
that spirituality is associated with better psychological well being.Bartlett et al note
that RA patients who view their life from a different perspective through spirituality,
can experience better well being. In our study, a major risk factor associated with
fatigue was the duration of sleep.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Particularly, subjects with less than 4 6 hours of sleep had higher values of factor
1 of FAS. The association between fatigue and sleep has been noted among OA
and RA patients. Insufficient sleep may be a predictor of fatigue and its effect has
been demonstrated previously in arthritis[6].Especially, patients with OA suffer
from sleep disturbance leading to fatigue [40] while in RA a correlation between
fatigue and poor quality of sleep has been noted previously [41].Even the variable of
sleep in OA and RA patients is not directly linked to fatigue, there is a question about
the relationship between fatigue and sleepless. The presence of sleep disturbance in
combination with other variables (pain, depressive symptoms and psychosocial
factors) might be the responsible mechanism for fatigue in RA and OA patients.

Examples Of The Truman Show
The Truman show is a story about a man named Truman Burbank, a normal man
that doesn t realize his entire life is staged, fake and streaming live every moment
of every day. Within the first few minutes of the movie starting you think
everything is perfect in Truman s fake world with is nice welcoming neighbors,
friendly businessman and people around him. What you don t know and realize is
that Truman s 1950 s utopia is scripted and controlled by another mini village of
people behind the scenes of the world s largest studio ever built. Everything seems
to be perfect for Truman, he has a successful job as an insurance sale mans with a
sweetheart wife who is also a nurse and his best friend from childhood who loves to
stop by at random time with a cold six pack in hand to help distract Truman and
keep him on track. However, Truman is a smart man and slowly starts to see things
out of place and puts things together, while he still doesn t know he s living in a

norm even if those times have changed and evolved into what we have today.
While these values and ideology are scripted and staged around Truman to him it s
his norm as strange as some of the choreographing may be. However, the viewers
of the show while may not be able to relate to his norm they do idolize Truman;
wishing they could be part of his norm in which Truman has been socialized too.
Truman shows how even once injected with paranoia how we as a society have to
discover the truth at any cost. Even how the product placement was injected into the

Industrial America from the American Steel Industry to the Early 1970 s
The steel industry has been profoundly important to the development of USA by its
value of output, input to the American manufacturing industries and in terms of the
extent of its employment in the past. It s been important because of its political clout
of its corporations and finally it s been important for strategic reasons.
Background to the American Steel Industry
The industry dates from mid 19th century when it grew out of the iron industry. There
was huge demand for steel following the end of the Civil War and the building of the
great trans continental railway. The industry centred in Pittsburgh where the classic...

Appalachian deposits of iron ore become very much depleted and development of
ore deposits to the West of Lake Superior was accelerated. The Mesabi Range ores
has been worked by Rockefeller since 1892. Open cast production kept costs low, as
did the great and advances in ore carriers which transported the ores east wards
through the Great Lakes. Technological advance allowed lower grade taconite ores to
be beneficiated and so enabled them to bear the transport costs to the steel mills
further east.
Demand for Steel: This continued to rise in aggregate throughout much of the first
half of the 20th century. The nature of the demand altered however. Much less steel
was now needed for rails, but structural steel became increasingly important as did
rods, wire, tubes and pipes; steel was needed for tinplate and also very significant
amounts were demanded by the transport industries.
Organisation of the industry: At the turn of the century, there was much horizontal
integration and merger activity reflecting, amongst other things, a desire to reduce
competition and to increase the scale of enterprises. Some companies became
involved in vertical integration, being particularly anxious to secure their supplies of
coking coal and iron ore (the US relied very heavily on indigenous
Theme Of Osamu Dazai s The Setting Sun
The setting of Osamu Dazai s The Setting Sun and the history of Japan play a
major role in the story and its theme; in fact, Japan s culture and the events of the
1940s, when is was written, seem to be the catalyst for its creation. The title is a
reference specifically to the fall of ancient Japanese culture as an actual practice,
that is, its removal from everyday use. The actions and motivations of the characters
can be linked directly to the Japanese mindset and its unusually close relationship to
death, as seen throughout history. For example, Kazuko references one of Japan s
most beloved novels in her letters to Uehara: Genji Monogatari, or The Tale of Genji,
which was written by an aristocratic woman of the Heian period known as Murasaki
Shikibu(97). When expressing her love for him and her desire to mother his child,
she compares her passion to the iconic novel, exalting those days of Genji, Shikibu
s main character, as the time of ideal relationships. The Tale of Genji indeed
explores relationships and proper and improper behavior, but it also illustrates just
how deep death runs in Japanese culture; a major theme of the world s first great
novel is evanescence and the beauty of impermanence. In fact, the death of the main
character Genji s true love Murasaki, although sorrowful, is described with great care:
Despite the fact that she was terribly emaciated, Murasaki still looked remarkable; the
loss of weight had, if anything, distilled her beauty, which now
Analysis Of The Human Condition By Jon Bellion
Introduction The Human Condition is Jon Bellion s first album and is rising in
popularity through its appeal to the pop genre and witty lyrics. Jon Bellion is the
character in his own album and his journey from a child to an adult and a nobody to a
celebrity is the primary focus throughout most of his songs. The journey of himself
through the songs is what makes the lyrics interesting. The general understanding is
that Bellion wishes to portray himself as unique but humble. The pressures he feels
from society and the pressures of his childhood are prominent in the understanding of
his self expression. Bellion seeks to find the universal in the specific. The Human

Bellion enrolled in the music program at Five Towns College which has produced
many top artists such as Wycelf Jean and Maroon 5 s Adam Levine and Jesse

Kanye West, Timbaland and J. Dilla. His ability to blend genres often makes it tough
to categorize his sound, but his inspirations are evident throughout his projects. His
name started getting more recognition after co writing the chorus for Eminem s The

6 1 Data Model Assignment: DAT 500 15TW1 The rental car company is laying the
foundation for building a relational database and is already deep within the design
phase of the SDLC. Developing enterprise data models will ensure the business
requirements are being met and in the long run, spell success for the enterprise. The
two entity relationship diagrams the rental car company has established are 1) a
Conceptual data model and 2) a Logical data model. Using the process of building
these foundational models, the rental car company can then move on to the physical
model and complete the database. The first data model, the conceptual model, is
basically the skeleton or the foundational framing for how the rental car company can
develop the concepts (also known as entities) that are most important to the
organization. Within the conceptual model, there are a limited number of
components. In this current stage of the development there are only entities and
relationships, descriptive characteristics (or attributes) come later. Here the focus is
on entities and the organization can narrow down what takes top priority. Those four
concepts mentioned in the model are at the foundation and a requirement for tracking
the profitability and efficiency of the branch and its employees. Branch, Sales,
Vehicle and Employees are prime examples of entities and one can easily draw
relationships and business rules between them. Relationships are often described with
verbs and can confirm
Persuasive Essay On Socializing On Twitter
Within our society, the internet has become the norm and is always present at the
tips of our fingers. To present your ideas or share your thoughts on things around
you, Twitter is the go to app that is the most popular for these kinds of things.
When you post something on Twitter, to announce to your followers/friends, you
are tweeting. Tweeting lets you connect, express your feelings, thoughts, release
information, and much more. We are so attached to our phones and twitter that we
are more invested in others lives than our own. And tweeting usually leads to
complaining, making us think our lives are miserable and sad. Since we are so
invested in Twitter and social media, we are willing to give out information about
ourselves to complete strangers, which can sometimes be a bit too much.
However, Twitter has a character limit of 140. To what extent does tweeting,
which consists of only 140 characters, have on how we communicate and our
behaviors? When socializing on Twitter, it allows the individual to be whoever
they want to be. Based off of their identity online, these individuals are able to
express their feelings and reveal certain things about themselves, while excluding
others. Being online, behind a screen, allows us to create a new identity, and what
we say or tweet is usually catered a certain way to match what our audience wants
to hear or would agree with. Due to the limit of 140 characters, this resulted in the
change of grammatical sentences to the use of slang or abbreviations. To shorten
up what we want to convey to our audience, we would use abbreviations so that
there are fewer characters. This would sometimes result in the change of meaning
and give off a more unfriendly tone. To communicate with others as well, we tend
to use slang, which makes us sound cool and trendy. Twitter, which was an outlet
for all these changes, affected our communication online and offline. Since social
media is a big part of the youths lives, how we communicate online with our friends
and our audience follows into the real world as well. For example, the slang for
going to is gonna, and without realizing it, that is what we say to each other and
sometimes, write in our English essays as well. Whatever
J. R. R. Tolkien s Impact On Society
J. R. R. Tolkien has left a lasting impression on both the physical and fictional
realm. His personality and worldly works cast ripples throughout the world, while
his literature affected the very fabric of fictional writing. He is an author who is
given the place of glory in bookshelves across the nations, and his novels are
cherished by millions. Tolkien reigns supreme as the lord of fictitious writing.
Other works of fantasy are compared to him, the perpetual example of superior
authorship. Even decades after their original publication the words of Tolkien rest
securely in the minds of dedicated readers. His actions and experiences are still
beloved and revered. The courageous war service, sagacious teachings, and

Tolkien was also known to have referred to Hitler in his letters as a ruddy little

for the consequences. It is obvious that as a soldier and a public figure Tolkien did

Proliferation of Social Flaws in World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft is the one of the most popular MMOG in the world, produced by
Blizzard entertainment. It has over 11 million players around the world 2.5
million of them in the US. The game is one of the most dominant games in the
global market today, which is available in 7 languages and played in all continents,
North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia, including South Korea, China,
Singapore, Hong Kong and Macau. Despite many scholars believe that the virtual

WoW is far from a perfect world. In addition to the ethnic discrimination I ve read
about in the reading this semester by Lisa Nakamura, I also realized it involves
extreme stereotypes.
The WoW is set in a high fantasy world where players are able to select race based

the imaginary world of Azeroth where they find themselves in the midst of an
ongoing battle between two warring factions, the Alliance and the Horde. Players kill
monsters and complete quests in order to gain experience and gears . They can also
learn professions such as cooking, fishing, and blacksmithing, which enable them to
craft items like real world human beings (Mccreery). While this might seem to be
like Plato s Republic, in fact, it still involves extreme stereotypes, due to its euro

Electronic Medical Record ( Emr ) System
For as long as any of us can really remember, paper based medical records have been
the way to go. Sadly if changes had to be made to the files then the files would need
to be physically taken out of storage and then returned after. More times than not
patients will have more than one health care provider and in this case, the patient files
are not necessarily being successfully shared among them due to the fact that the files
are tangible. Fortunately the implementation of Electronic Medical Record(EMR)
system is the answer to increasing efficiency and reducing the need for storage.
The EMR allows the medical records to be retrieved and accessed by any of the
health care professionals that need the information to help a patient. Implementing
an EMR would have improved diagnosis and treatments, significantly reduce errors
found within personal health records, and improve the speed of care and decision
making responses from assigned medical professionals. As with everything there are
always cons as well as the pros. The unfortunate cons of an EMR are the
technological side. It may be difficult to teach all of the people who will be using it
how to use the EMR and more importantly getting a majority of people on board with
it. After weighing out the pros and cons, there are series of steps that are conducted
through stages otherwise known as phases. EMR implementation require making sure
that the organization is ready for the commitment, making an outline, creating a

The Importance Of Influenza
Influenza a running rampant through the hospital and I am not a fan of having to
wear a gown, mask and gloves. It feels like such a barrier when communicating
with the patients. I just cringe whenever I see the droplet precautions on the patient
s chart. I really cannot wait for this flu season to pass, especially since we lost a 10
year old to the flu today. It is always sad when someone dies, but there is such a
noticeable effect throughout the entire hospitalwhen a child passes away. On the
other hand, it is in these moments you really get to witness the tight bond between
the staff members. The other social workers offered a lot of support to the social
worker directly involved and the chaplains, doctors, and nurses really rally
Integrated Healthcare System Analysis
Briefing Paper 4:
Eric Lombardi Lopes More and more integrated hospitals and other providers are
becoming prevalent in our community; two large systems in the Dallas Fort Worth
area are Texas Health Resources and the Baylor Scott White systems. What exactly
are these integrated hospital systems? An integrated healthcare system is one that
through official agreements or ownership sets up a horizontal and vertical line of
healthcare facilities and services to better deliver seamless healthcare to patients. An
example to use is Texas Health Resources since its found in most corners of the
Metroplex. With any large corporation and system comes confusion and other
problems: such as regulatory obstacles, the complexity of operations, and unclear
financial ownerships. Integrated healthcare systems appear at face value to be the
solution to curbing the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Horizontal integrations mean that all services, facilities, and other patient care
needs are acquired and merged into the integrated system. An example would be a
general hospital acquiring or partnering with other specialized sources of healthcare
such as, outpatient facilities, pharmacies, specialty offices, oncology centers, and
diagnostic labs and services. A vertical integration means to apply factors that do
not directly affect patient care, such as medical supplies and drugs, insurance,
financial services, emergency services such as ambulances, and administration
responsibilities. A system that can implement both can afford to provide lower cost
care while maintaining quality, if the system gets to large enough it can also help
curb the availability of care. In the Dallas Fort Worth area one can see a growth in
Texas Health Resources or THR, they own several large general hospitals, along with

The Economic History Of Pittsburgh In The Nineteenth
Century
The Economic History of Pittsburgh
At the beginning of the nineteenth century, Pittsburgh became a leader in America s
industrial production. This industrial production dominated Pittsburgh s economy for
over a century. This attracted many foreigners to Pittsburgh which had a demand for
unskilled workers. However, Pittsburgh eventually lost its position as one of the
world s largest industrial producers and became a rising city for businesses in the
field of information technology. As a result, Pittsburgh shifted from a city of mostly
blue collar workers to a city of mostly white collar workers.

Foreign producers of steel began to use an underhanded industry tactic known as
dumping . According to Dale Hathaway who wrote, Can Workers Have a Voice??
The Politics of Deindustrialization in Pittsburgh, dumping is the sale of foreign goods
within the United Stats at prices below the cost of production. As a result, the price of
domestically produced steel far surpassed foreign produced steel and American
industries turned to foreign sources for steel. Other factors that caused Pittsburgh to
lose its domination of the steel industry were the rising cost of U.S. labor, the
industries failure to modernize Pittsburgh s steel making process due to the high costs
of such implementation and finally, the escalating of steel substitutes such as plastic
and fiberglass. Together these factors led to the destruction of the steel industry in
Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.
In the 1980?s, Pittsburgh s post industrial era began. Many of Pittsburgh s
manufacturing plants went out of business or left the area. The greatest losses were
in the steel industry. Because the steel industry employed masses of people, the
dissolution of the industry caused many people to find themselves unemployed.
Between 1978 and 1983, 100,000 steel and steel related jobs were eliminated. By
the mid 1990?s, the world s greatest steel producer would be reduced to one single

Data Mining Information
1 Define data mining. Why are there many different names and definitions for data
mining?
Data mining is the process through which previously unknown patterns in data were
discovered. Another definition would be a process that uses statistical, mathematical,
artificial intelligence, and machine learning techniques to extract and identify useful
information and subsequent knowledge from large databases. This includes most
types of automated data analysis. A third definition: Data miningis the process of
finding mathematical patterns from (usually) large sets of data; these can be rules,
affinities, correlations, trends, or prediction models.
Data mining has many definitions because it s been stretched beyond those limits by

Whereas prediction is largely experience and opinion based, forecasting is data and
model based. That is, in order of increasing reliability, one might list the relevant
terms as guessing, predicting, and forecasting, respectively. In data mining
terminology, prediction and forecasting are used synonymously, and the term
prediction is used as the common representation of the act.
Classification: analyzing the historical behavior of groups of entities with similar
characteristics, to predict the future behavior of a new entity from its similarity to
those groups
Clustering: finding groups of entities with similar characteristics
Association: establishing relationships among items that occur together
Sequence discovery: finding time based associations
Visualization: presenting results obtained through one or more of the other methods
Regression: a statistical estimation technique based on fitting a curve defined by a
mathematical equation of known type but unknown parameters to existing data
Forecasting: estimating a future data value based on past data values.

Typically the dust control bags in the new line have maximum controlling efficiency.
Comparatively, according the data from the employee and community survey there is
a significance impact dust particulate to the surrounding environment. Therefore, it is
better to rethink on the filter bags performance. In addition, regular maintenance and
quick replacement of filter bags is necessary. Practically the ESP found in the old
line in addition to some filter bags has less performance on dedusting. Dust emission
is observed continuously due to malfunction of this device. Therefor this ESP way of
dedusting is better to change or supported by other dedusting device. While the
factory starts to investigate and allocate budget on the improvement of the ESP, it is
delayed to implement. It needs urgent decision making to substitute it.
3.Management of transformed materials. Some of the sources of dust emission are
the way how to handle materials especially the transformed materials such as pet
coke and black coal. The factory transformed from pet coke and black coal coming
from South Africa to local black coal. Some of the pet coke and black coal from
South Africa accumulated without function and poor handling in the factory
compound. It is better to take measures on these transformed materials urgently.

My First Job At Dsw
Upon applying to my first job at DSW as a high school student, the only thought in
my mind was the ability to make my own money and spend it how I choose.
However, now as I am about to graduate, I have acquired more wisdom and
understanding when it comes to selecting a job for myself. Money is only part of the
equation to truly being satisfied with a job. The other parts of the equation include:
management, the team, challenges, and a company s values.
Management is key when it comes to applying for a job. Matter of fact it is so
important that I was advised by the mentors in my life to keep that in the forefront
of my mind when considering any job and/or internship. It is key for a manager to
provide regular feedback on my performance.

increasing government debt and exploding the scope of the government, Roosevelt
did what was needed at the time. His policies aided millions of needy americans. He
did not merely give people money, moreover. It was distributed through programs that
benefitted america in other ways, such as the building of an enormous infrastructure

increasing the medical quality for its members and their immediate environment.
The firm has been operating for sixty years, it evolved from programs that were
operating in the industrial sector especially shipyards, construction, and steel mill
workers in the late 1930s (Kaiser, 2015). In 1945 it was opened for the enrolment
of the public who wanted to get their services. The enterprise started with one
surgeon and a hospital that had twelve beds in Mojave Desert. The managing
director (MD), Sidney Garfield, observed the young people who were involved in
different development projects. The MD took a loan to cater for his expenses as he

Japan s Total Empire Summary
Louise Young in her meticulous and groundbreaking monograph, Japan s Total
Empire: Manchuria and the Culture of Wartime Imperialism, calls for a turn to the
study of ordinary people s agency in building Japanese imperialism and empire.
She accurately points out the problem at the root of previous scholarships that
concentrate on the state as the sole actor in the history of Japan s expansionism.
Certainly, to drag the ordinary into the swirl of history and the responsibility of its
cause is not to negate the state s role, but to have a fuller picture of how the empire
worked at the home front. It is interesting, in this sense, to juxtapose Wilson s piece
along with Young s to understand Japan s empire at home in the early 1930s. If

example, to prove the impact of the depression on the rightist turn in the local
opinions, she provides the report of the young men s association as the sole evidence,
yet she does not explain the relation of this piece of evidence with the changing
society caused by the depression. When she mentions the report in the previous
section of the article, she only identifies the cleavage between the right and left and
the exacerbation of the situation because of the Manchuria Incident. Therefore, it is
confusing with not only the background of this report but its implication in terms of
the relation between the depression and the local society. For the effect of the
Manchurian Incident, Wilson indeed provides evidence from the newspapers that
talked about the rising military demands and influence at the home front. Yet

Subject:GC MS of a gas, gas simulant, and octane booster
Summary: Gas Chromatography Mass spectrometry (GC/MS) was used to identify
the major components of gasoline, a gasoline simulant, and an octane booster. GC
MS is an analytical method that separates mixtures into individual components and
uses mass spectrometry to identify each component by specific properties. (1) The
instrument used for this experiment was a Thermoscientific Trace 1310 GC MS.
After analyzing the mass spectrums for the major peaks the components were
determined to either be aromatic compounds or cycloalkanes. The gas ... Show more

The mass spectrometry identified peak 1 as an aromatic compound, 7,7, dimethyl
1,3,4 cycloheptatriene, and peak 2 as a branched alkane, 2 butyl 1 octanol. Peak 3
was identified to be an aromatic compound, 1,2,4 trimethylbenzene, and peak 4 as a
straight chain alkane, trichloro(docosyl)silane. Two of the components identified in
the gas and gas simulant were also identified in the octane booster and both were
aromatic compounds, which would increase the octane rating. However, the two
different components identified in the octane booster were a branched alkane and a
straight chained alkane. The branched alkane would also help to increase the octane
rating, however, the straight chained alkane, trichloro(docosyl)silane is a low octane
compound which would lower the octane rating of the gasoline. (4) Therefore, the
commercial octane booster analyzed does not contain the proper molecules to
enhance the octane rating of a gasoline, and is just a gimmick.

Anonymous Stereotypes
Hackers have caused the government billions of dollars in damage over time and
leaking tens of thousands of sensitive documents, most for sport. Although not all
hackers are out there to cause damage; the Hacktavist group Anonymous is a group
that strives to protect the users of the Internet. When many people think of hackers
they automatically think they are doing it for nefarious reasons, they are unaware
that most hackers actually help protect and improve the everyday life we have
through the internetby not only strengthening the sites we use everyday, but also
taking down known black hatsites and even protecting civil right by allowing us to
see the vital information withheld from us by the government.

Anonymous is now, and has been for a while, taking down ISIS promoting and
even recruiting social media accounts. These accounts are being used to recruit
people around the world to ISIS and Anonymous is taking the first step to taking
them down. In the article raincoaster states, ISIS has done much of their recruiting
work through social media channels: Facebook and Twitter, as well as more
esoteric platforms. They use social media, particularly Twitter, as a propaganda
tool and on this front they are considerably in advance of NATO and other Western

risky; meta data has revealed more than one fighter s location, and Russians will
not soon forget the soldier who made headlines for the trail of selfies he left all

By bringing the war to social media, ISIS stepped right into Anonymous home turf.
And they re not likely to forget that any time soon. , This quote shows a lot but,
above all shows how much can be done through social media and Anonymous rules
it. They are able to limit and control social media due to their sheer size. It almost
makes it seem like a war on two fronts one through the traditional style and they other
through the internet. With ISIS being such a big threat to The United States and all
of our allies, and though it may be illegal the US has allowed the take down of ISIS
social media accounts with no repercussions. Due to this government statement it is
open season on any terrorist accounts and Danny Yardon with the Wall Street Journal

In general, wireless routers control access to their management interface by using
the hypertext transport protocol (HTTP) as the default authentication protocol. In
other words, when you connect to your wireless router from a web browser
(typically http://192.168.1.1), and then submit your login credentials, the HTTP
protocol is used to transmit your login credentials to the router. Because HTTP
does not provide encryption, your login credentials are sent to the router over the
air in clear text. In this case, an attacker eavesdropping on your WLAN would be
able to capture this information and use it to access the router as an administrator.
Once your router is compromised an attacker can then use it to stage attacks such as
man in the middle (MITM), modify unencrypted data, or even send users to evil twin
websites. To avoid this type of catastrophe, the router s default authentication method
should be changed from HTTP to hypertext protocol with secure sockets layer (or ...

This could indicate the presence of two markets, one very price sensitive and a much
less price sensitive В high end niche but smaller market. After taking the derivative,
the P = ВЅ MC + 3560. However, due to the shape of the graph and its poor fit to
the linear regression, I split the data in two portions. According to the market
analysis, the more price sensitive (MAS) end of the market is the largest segment
and a price of $4400 produces the largest UCM (Exhibit 1.) I repeated the regression
again with prices from $3750 to $5000 only. The trend line is now a much closer fit

To calculate optimal pricing I used MC outlined in the case as based on volume of

The Difference Between Material And Consumable Culture
Essay

1.Examine the difference between material and nonmaterial culture in your world.
2.Identify ten objects that are part of your regular cultural experience.
a.For each, then identify what aspects of nonmaterial culture (values and beliefs) that
these objects represent.
3.What has this exercise revealed to you about your culture?
Material Culture versus Nonmaterial Culture
Material culture refers to the objects or belongings of a group of people. Metro
passes and bus tokens are part of material culture, as are automobiles, stores, and the
physical structures where people worship. Nonmaterial culture, in contrast, consists
of the ideas, attitudes, and beliefs of a society (Little, et al.,2014).
Little (et al, 2014) put it succinctly, as shown above.
Material culture is anything from a place of worship to a tee shirt with a band insignia
displayed prominently on it. The former example, a place of worship, belongs to a
particular religious group. If you go to a Baptist church, the logical leap is that you
are, yourself, a Baptist tradition Christian. The latter example, of the band tee, is
usually worn by a person who listens to and enjoys the band in question. A band tee
can identify a given person as part of a specific, band related subculture.
Nonmaterial culture is a nonphysical form of culture. In a place of worship, the
ideologies that are perpetuated there, and the specific traditions that are native to that
church, are part of the nonmaterial culture

Is Macbeth Relevant Today Essay
In what ways are the themes, messages and ideas of the play Macbeth relevant to
contemporary society? Shakespeare was an English playwright, poet and actor in
the 1500 and 1600s. He is renowned for his genius in various literature techniques
and many of the words and phrases that are used today were created by
Shakespeare. Today, many of his plays are studied thoroughly by students and
teachers alike. This essay will be focusing on the Tragedy of Macbeth written by
Shakespeare in 1606. There are many ways in which the themes, messages and ideas
from the play Macbeth are relevant to contemporary society. For example, things such
as: excessive ambition will cause destruction, guilty behaviour leads to downfall and
loyalty is an important and powerful virtue are all themes that are demonstrated
strongly in Macbeth but are still relevant... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Excessive ambition is Macbeth s key character flaw and it is shown numerous
times throughout the play. At the beginning of the play, we can see Macbeth as a
loyal and honest nobleman. However, as the production unfolds and the witches
plant a seed of ambition in Macbeth, he begins to succumb to his desires. Despite
realising in Act 1 Scene 7, that ambition is the cause of disaster (I have no spur to
prick the sides of my intent, but only vaulting ambition, which o erleaps itself and
falls on th other) he is so blinded by this that he neglects to make wise choices. This,
not surprisingly, results in Macbeth demise. Many people, even today, are not content
with what they have and go to great means to attain more possessions. This lust
commonly results in people s destruction and through the play Macbeth, we can gain
and understanding of these dangers, providing a relevance between Shakespeare s
writing and today s
Greek Influence on Western Culture Essay
What were the contributions to Western civilization from the ancient Greeks?
The Greek civilization contributed greatly to the development of modern Western
culture. Three of the most important contribution that are the foundations of our
society are Language, Philosophy, and Government. The people of ancient Greece
developed a sophisticated language with an extraordinarily rich vocabulary. It has
existed for nearly 3,500 years, the longest of any language derived from early Indo
European. It also has a heavy influence on the English speaking civilization of the
West. Like English Greek, was phonetic, and, was the first language that used vowels.
Greek s incredibly diverse vocabulary also influenced and contributed to modern

He also stated that people should rise up against tyranny. He said that all men have a
duty to disobey bad orders. These ideas are all exemplified in Western culture, where
value is placed on effort, and not only and result. The rise against tyranny also affects
the establishment of a new type of system, known as democracy. Greece was one of
the first people to have recorded the events of their democratic system. Democracy
is a Greek word literally meaning the power of the people to rule. Early democracy
was established in ancient Athens, a Greek city state, and was probably the single
most powerful and stable democratic government in Greece. Greek democracy has
a powerful hand in influencing modern democratic practices. Greek democracy
was separated into three ruling bodies, the Assembly, Council, and the Courts. The
Assembly, tried serious crimes, made executive statements and laws, and elected
certain officials. It is very similar to the modern day Senate who also approve
executive statements, make laws and elect certain officials. Like modern
democratic government the Assembly made decisions based on majority rule. The
Council, or Council of 500, was a board made up of five hundred citizens who were
randomly chosen to become part of this board. All citizens could hold a position in
the council, and could be elected twice in one lifetime. Citizens that were on the
board were randomly selected to be head of State for the day.
Dental Implant Argumentative Essay
Thinking About Dental Implants? Consider These X Benefits
Cosmetic dentistry is a great solution to fix aesthetic problems you are experiencing
with your teeth. For those that are missing teeth, you have a couple options available
to you. While partial dentures and bridges are a simple way to hide that gap, you may
be thinking about getting dental implants instead. Before you decide, it is important to
understand what dental implants are and several of their benefits.
What Is A Dental Implant?
A dental implant is a permanent solution that will give you a fake tooth that looks,
feels, and functions just like a real tooth. The post for the implant is fused into your
jawbone, which will provide a very firm attachment point for the fake tooth.
Benefits Of Getting A Dental Implant... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The improved appearance will not only improve a smile, but give you a confidence
boost since you know the new tooth looks natural when others see it.
Durability
A dental implant is one of the most durable ways to replace a tooth. The main issue
with alternatives, like bridges and partial dentures, is that they may break and need
to be replaced over time. If the implant is installed correctly and properly maintained,
it can potentially last your entire life.
Improved Speech
Partial or full dentures can slip out of place when wearing them, which causes a
wearer to have difficulty speaking because they are constantly aware of dentures that
could be moving. Implants are fused to your jawbone permanently and will not slip.
You will see improved speech with implants.
Easier Eating
While dentures and bridges do not restrict your eating a whole bunch, extra
consideration needs to go into what you eat to prevent damaging them. Implants are
as strong as your real teeth, so you can treat them exactly how you would if you had
all natural teeth.

Egyptians eventually made a composite bow, a bow made from many different
materials. They stretched sheep intestines to make the string needed for the bow to

horizontally mounted bow that shoots somewhat like a pistol. Around the same time
as the Chinese were developing the crossbow, the Japanese invented two new forms

All of which plus a natural supply of political eccentrics helps explain how Texas
once had a board member who believed that public schools are the tool of the devil.
Texas originally acquired its power over the nation s textbook supply because it paid
100 percent of the cost of all public school textbooks, as long as the books in
question came from a very short list of board approved options. The selection
process was grueling and tension filled, said Julie McGee, who worked at high
levels in several publishing houses before her retirement. If you didn t get listed by
the state, you got nothing. On the other side of the coin, David Anderson, who
once sold textbooks in the state, said that if a book made the list, even a fairly
mediocre salesperson could count on doing pretty well. The books on the Texas list
were likely to be mass produced by the publisher in anticipation of those sales, so
other states liked to buy them and take advantage of the economies of scale.
What happens in Texas doesn t stay in Texas when it comes to textbooks, said Dan
Quinn, who worked as an editor of social studies textbooks before joining the Texas
Freedom Network, which was founded by Governor Ann Richards s daughter, Cecile,
to counter the religious right.
The cost for the Texas textbooks?
As a market, the state was so big and influential that national publishers tended to gear

The Attitude Of The Poem My Last Duchess By Robert
Browning
9th Grade English Essay: Discuss the attitude of the poet towards the duchess in My
Last Duchess by Robert Browning
In the middle ages , the main topic used in poems was a nobleman, usually a knight
in love with a married woman and had to prove his devotion by heroic deeds and
amorous writings . They used blazon to emphasis the beautiful bodies of the women
in those days. However, there was a radical change in the Victorian times where
prostitution became such a big issue. The poems became darker and less courtly. In
the poem, My last duchess by Robert Browning there was no traditional blazon such
as complementing the duchess body. Yet, the speaker who is also the Duke talks
about the women s body as the main justification for her assassination. The duke
talks about her smile as the reason for his jealousy and possessive obecession.
Robert Browning uses various literary devices to provoke a feeling to the reader. By
his choice of devices, we are able to understand the feelings of the Duke towards the

It was desolate with rare sights of vegetation, and the peoples had to scavenge the
landscape to survive its brutal climate changes. But long ago, in a time of exploration
of art and science, and expansion, the Kryptonians spread out through the ocean of
stars, seeking new worlds to settle upon, colonizing. The race of aliens created
spacecrafts which had organic structures, similar to the landscape of Krypton. The
spacecraft would be one of the great machines that would reshape environments, or
terraform, changing the atmospheres to suitable standards to support Kryptonian life.
What changed was that Krypton had suffered from over population and artificial
population was established. Artificial population was able to be done because of the
Kryptonians discovering that they could tamper with their own DNA, changing it,
and creating new forms of life, but which would retain the physiology of their own,
even through the tampering. The outposts and space exploration were abandoned,
and the Kryptonians had exhausted their natural resources. As a result, to find a
source of power, Kryptonians scientists began harvesting the core of the planet,
which made Krypton s core unstable. Over time, Krypton became unable to support
artificial population and began resorting back to natural birth, but the population was
lowered and steadied. This would only save Krypton for a few more centuries before

  • 1. Gcse Essay Writing a GCSE essay can be a challenging task, requiring a combination of research, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. The difficulty lies not only in the need to understand and analyze the topic thoroughly but also in presenting one's thoughts in a coherent and organized manner. Firstly, the research aspect demands a thorough exploration of the subject matter. This involves gathering relevant information from various sources, such as textbooks, articles, and online resources. Understanding the nuances of the topic and discerning credible information from less reliable sources is a crucial skill. Moreover, crafting a compelling thesis statement that encapsulates the main argument is essential. This requires a deep understanding of the topic and the ability to articulate a clear and concise point of view. Constructing an outline to organize thoughts and ideas before delving into the actual writing process can help maintain focus and coherence. The writing itself poses another set of challenges. Striking the right balance between providing evidence to support arguments and maintaining a fluid and engaging writing style can be tricky. The need for proper grammar, syntax, and vocabulary adds an additional layer of complexity to the task. Furthermore, the essay should exhibit critical thinking skills by analyzing different perspectives, anticipating counterarguments, and presenting a well-reasoned conclusion. This requires the ability to think critically and analytically, evaluating information and drawing informed conclusions. In conclusion, writing a GCSE essay is no small feat. It demands a combination of research, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. However, with dedication and practice, one can develop the necessary skills to navigate through the challenges and produce a well-crafted essay. If you find yourself struggling with similar tasks or wish to explore alternative methods, it's worth considering external assistance. Services like HelpWriting.net offer the option to order essays and more, providing a resource for additional support and guidance in academic endeavors. Gcse Essay Gcse Essay
  • 2. Head Trauma Case Study Child abuse unfortunately is prevalent in society today. It is estimated that there are more than 119,000 cases of child abuse, and 600 fatalities from it each year (Lindberg, Berger, Reynolds, Alwan Harper, 2014). Although it is not a relatively uncommon occurrence, it can be very difficult to diagnose (Fingarson Pierce, 2012). Physical abuse can range from broken bones to intracranial bleeds, but one of the most fatal types of abuse is head trauma. Another name commonly used for abusive head trauma is shaken baby syndrome. Many professionals have moved away from using this term because it does not describe a specific injury, rather it defines a particular mechanism. Studies have shown that shaking is the most often reported mechanism in serious and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Studies have shown that an abdominal CT is able to show trauma to many different abdominal organs including the liver, intestines, mesentery, kidneys, spleen, and more. Though an abdominal CT is very helpful at visualizing trauma, it is difficult to tell if an abdominal trauma is accidental or non accidental. Because of this it is very important that in cases of suspected abuse with abdominal trauma the patient s story and the injuries plausibly fit together. (Hilmes, Hernanz Schulman, Greeley, Piercey, Yu Kan, 2011). A thoracic CT can also be ordered in cases of suspected abuse, but are not common. One study found after performing both a thoracic CT and rib x rays on post mortem children that were victims of child abuse that a thoracic CT was better at identifying rib fractures. Specifically, the CT was much better at identifying both anterior and posterior rib fractures. Although the thoracic CT was better able to identify the rib fractures, it is not the standard exam ordered when abuse or rib fractures are suspected. This is due to the increased dose to the pediatric patient (Hong, Reyes, Moineddin, Chiasson, Berdon Babyn,

Such elements as death, gloom, suspense, mystery, and terror make up a Gothic novel in literature. The novel Dracula, written by Bram Stoker, was the ideal Gothic fiction in the 19th century and still is today because of its incorporation of vampires, castles, spine chilling murders, and overpowering emotions which contribute to the Gothic atmosphere. Draculais set in Transylvania, during the Victorian Era. The setting is extremely significant in Dracula because it contributes abundantly to the Gothic atmosphere the novel possesses. In this novel, the setting includes wild Transylvanian landscapes, dreary buildings, secret hidden rooms, an asylum, and a graveyard. Such setting contribute to the novel s gothic ambiance because they are places that usually tend to reveal a perturbing feeling to those surrounding it. The most seen settings in the novel Dracula is Dracula s castle, the graveyard by St. Mary s Church and Dr. Seward s asylum which all contain gloomy features that contribute to the Gothic atmosphere in Dracula. Dracula s castle is described as It contains all in all some twenty acres, quite surrounded by the solid wall above mentioned. There are many trees on it, which makes it in places gloomy, and there is a deep, dark looking pond or small lake... (Stoker 22). The castle s abundant amount of trees surrounding the castle and

Many OA and RA patients participate in religious activities such as prayer and are influenced by beliefs. According to the perceptions of patients faith and participation in religious activities can be helpful in reducing levels of perceived fatigue , pain, and improving quality of life. Insufficient sleep may be a predictor of fatigue and its effect has been demonstrated previously in arthritis[6].Especially, patients with OA suffer from sleep disturbance leading to fatigue [40] while in RA a correlation between fatigue and poor quality of sleep has been noted previously [41].Even the variable of sleep in OA and RA patients is not directly linked to fatigue, there is a question about the relationship between fatigue and sleepless. The presence of sleep disturbance in combination with other variables (pain, depressive symptoms and psychosocial factors) might be the responsible mechanism for fatigue in RA and OA patients. Industrial America from the American Steel Industry to the Early 1970 s The steel industry has been profoundly important to the development of USA by its value of output, input to the American manufacturing industries and in terms of the extent of its employment in the past. It s been important because of its political clout of its corporations and finally it s been important for strategic reasons. Background to the American Steel Industry The industry dates from mid 19th century when it grew out of the iron industry. There was huge demand for steel following the end of the Civil War and the building of the great trans continental railway. The industry centred in Pittsburgh where the classic... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Appalachian deposits of iron ore become very much depleted and development of ore deposits to the West of Lake Superior was accelerated. The Mesabi Range ores has been worked by Rockefeller since 1892. Open cast production kept costs low, as did the great and advances in ore carriers which transported the ores east wards through the Great Lakes. Technological advance allowed lower grade taconite ores to be beneficiated and so enabled them to bear the transport costs to the steel mills further east. Demand for Steel: This continued to rise in aggregate throughout much of the first half of the 20th century. The nature of the demand altered however. Much less steel was now needed for rails, but structural steel became increasingly important as did rods, wire, tubes and pipes; steel was needed for tinplate and also very significant amounts were demanded by the transport industries. Organisation of the industry: At the turn of the century, there was much horizontal integration and merger activity reflecting, amongst other things, a desire to reduce competition and to increase the scale of enterprises. Some companies became involved in vertical integration, being particularly anxious to secure their supplies of coking coal and iron ore (the US relied very heavily on indigenous
  • 7. Theme Of Osamu Dazai s The Setting Sun The setting of Osamu Dazai s The Setting Sun and the history of Japan play a major role in the story and its theme; in fact, Japan s culture and the events of the 1940s, when is was written, seem to be the catalyst for its creation. The title is a reference specifically to the fall of ancient Japanese culture as an actual practice, that is, its removal from everyday use. The actions and motivations of the characters can be linked directly to the Japanese mindset and its unusually close relationship to death, as seen throughout history. For example, Kazuko references one of Japan s most beloved novels in her letters to Uehara: Genji Monogatari, or The Tale of Genji, which was written by an aristocratic woman of the Heian period known as Murasaki Shikibu(97). When expressing her love for him and her desire to mother his child, she compares her passion to the iconic novel, exalting those days of Genji, Shikibu s main character, as the time of ideal relationships. The Tale of Genji indeed explores relationships and proper and improper behavior, but it also illustrates just how deep death runs in Japanese culture; a major theme of the world s first great novel is evanescence and the beauty of impermanence. In fact, the death of the main character Genji s true love Murasaki, although sorrowful, is described with great care: Despite the fact that she was terribly emaciated, Murasaki still looked remarkable; the loss of weight had, if anything, distilled her beauty, which now

Jon Bellion is the character in his own album and his journey from a child to an adult and a nobody to a celebrity is the primary focus throughout most of his songs. The journey of himself through the songs is what makes the lyrics interesting. The general understanding is that Bellion wishes to portray himself as unique but humble. The pressures he feels from society and the pressures of his childhood are prominent in the understanding of his self expression. Bellion seeks to find the universal in the specific. The Rental Car Company Is Laying The Foundation For... 6 1 Data Model Assignment: DAT 500 15TW1 The rental car company is laying the foundation for building a relational database and is already deep within the design phase of the SDLC. Developing enterprise data models will ensure the business requirements are being met and in the long run, spell success for the enterprise. The two entity relationship diagrams the rental car company has established are 1) a Conceptual data model and 2) a Logical data model. Using the process of building these foundational models, the rental car company can then move on to the physical model and complete the database. The first data model, the conceptual model, is basically the skeleton or the foundational framing for how the rental car company can develop the concepts (also known as entities) that are most important to the organization. Within the conceptual model, there are a limited number of components. In this current stage of the development there are only entities and relationships, descriptive characteristics (or attributes) come later. Here the focus is on entities and the organization can narrow down what takes top priority. Those four concepts mentioned in the model are at the foundation and a requirement for tracking the profitability and efficiency of the branch and its employees. Branch, Sales, Vehicle and Employees are prime examples of entities and one can easily draw relationships and business rules between them. Relationships are often described with verbs and can confirm
  • 10. Persuasive Essay On Socializing On Twitter Within our society, the internet has become the norm and is always present at the tips of our fingers. To present your ideas or share your thoughts on things around you, Twitter is the go to app that is the most popular for these kinds of things. When you post something on Twitter, to announce to your followers/friends, you are tweeting. Tweeting lets you connect, express your feelings, thoughts, release information, and much more. We are so attached to our phones and twitter that we are more invested in others lives than our own. And tweeting usually leads to complaining, making us think our lives are miserable and sad. Since we are so invested in Twitter and social media, we are willing to give out information about ourselves to complete strangers, which can sometimes be a bit too much. However, Twitter has a character limit of 140. To what extent does tweeting, which consists of only 140 characters, have on how we communicate and our behaviors? When socializing on Twitter, it allows the individual to be whoever they want to be. Based off of their identity online, these individuals are able to express their feelings and reveal certain things about themselves, while excluding others. Being online, behind a screen, allows us to create a new identity, and what we say or tweet is usually catered a certain way to match what our audience wants to hear or would agree with. Due to the limit of 140 characters, this resulted in the change of grammatical sentences to the use of slang or abbreviations. To shorten up what we want to convey to our audience, we would use abbreviations so that there are fewer characters. This would sometimes result in the change of meaning and give off a more unfriendly tone. To communicate with others as well, we tend to use slang, which makes us sound cool and trendy. Twitter, which was an outlet for all these changes, affected our communication online and offline. Since social media is a big part of the youths lives, how we communicate online with our friends and our audience follows into the real world as well. • 13. Electronic Medical Record ( Emr ) System For as long as any of us can really remember, paper based medical records have been the way to go. Sadly if changes had to be made to the files then the files would need to be physically taken out of storage and then returned after. More times than not patients will have more than one health care provider and in this case, the patient files are not necessarily being successfully shared among them due to the fact that the files are tangible. Fortunately the implementation of Electronic Medical Record(EMR) system is the answer to increasing efficiency and reducing the need for storage. The EMR allows the medical records to be retrieved and accessed by any of the health care professionals that need the information to help a patient. Implementing an EMR would have improved diagnosis and treatments, significantly reduce errors found within personal health records, and improve the speed of care and decision making responses from assigned medical professionals. As with everything there are always cons as well as the pros. The unfortunate cons of an EMR are the technological side. It may be difficult to teach all of the people who will be using it how to use the EMR and more importantly getting a majority of people on board with it. After weighing out the pros and cons, there are series of steps that are conducted through stages otherwise known as phases. EMR implementation require making sure that the organization is ready for the commitment, making an outline, creating a system

An example to use is Texas Health Resources since its found in most corners of the Metroplex. Horizontal integrations mean that all services, facilities, and other patient care needs are acquired and merged into the integrated system. A vertical integration means to apply factors that do not directly affect patient care, such as medical supplies and drugs, insurance, financial services, emergency services such as ambulances, and administration responsibilities. A system that can implement both can afford to provide lower cost care while maintaining quality, if the system gets to large enough it can also help curb the availability of care. Foreign producers of steel began to use an underhanded industry tactic known as dumping . According to Dale Hathaway who wrote, Can Workers Have a Voice?? The Politics of Deindustrialization in Pittsburgh, dumping is the sale of foreign goods within the United Stats at prices below the cost of production. As a result, the price of domestically produced steel far surpassed foreign produced steel and American industries turned to foreign sources for steel. Other factors that caused Pittsburgh to lose its domination of the steel industry were the rising cost of U.S. labor, the industries failure to modernize Pittsburgh s steel making process due to the high costs of such implementation and finally, the escalating of steel substitutes such as plastic and fiberglass. Together these factors led to the destruction of the steel industry in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. In the 1980?s, Pittsburgh s post industrial era began. Peak 3 was identified to be an aromatic compound, 1,2,4 trimethylbenzene, and peak 4 as a straight chain alkane, trichloro(docosyl)silane. Two of the components identified in the gas and gas simulant were also identified in the octane booster and both were aromatic compounds, which would increase the octane rating. However, the two different components identified in the octane booster were a branched alkane and a straight chained alkane. The branched alkane would also help to increase the octane rating, however, the straight chained alkane, trichloro(docosyl)silane is a low octane compound which would lower the octane rating of the gasoline. In other words, when you connect to your wireless router from a web browser (typically http://192.168.1.1), and then submit your login credentials, the HTTP protocol is used to transmit your login credentials to the router. Because HTTP does not provide encryption, your login credentials are sent to the router over the air in clear text. Material Culture versus Nonmaterial Culture Material culture refers to the objects or belongings of a group of people. Metro passes and bus tokens are part of material culture, as are automobiles, stores, and the physical structures where people worship. Nonmaterial culture, in contrast, consists of the ideas, attitudes, and beliefs of a society (Little, et al.,2014). Little (et al, 2014) put it succinctly, as shown above. Material culture is anything from a place of worship to a tee shirt with a band insignia displayed prominently on it. The former example, a place of worship, belongs to a particular religious group. If you go to a Baptist church, the logical leap is that you are, yourself, a Baptist tradition Christian. The latter example, of the band tee, is usually worn by a person who listens to and enjoys the band in question. A band tee can identify a given person as part of a specific, band related subculture. Nonmaterial culture is a nonphysical form of culture. In a place of worship, the ideologies that are perpetuated there, and the specific traditions that are native to that church, are part of the nonmaterial culture

Democracy is a Greek word literally meaning the power of the people to rule. Early democracy was established in ancient Athens, a Greek city state, and was probably the single most powerful and stable democratic government in Greece. Greek democracy has a powerful hand in influencing modern democratic practices. Greek democracy was separated into three ruling bodies, the Assembly, Council, and the Courts. The Assembly, tried serious crimes, made executive statements and laws, and elected certain officials. It is very similar to the modern day Senate who also approve executive statements, make laws and elect certain officials. Like modern democratic government the Assembly made decisions based on majority rule. The Council, or Council of 500, was a board made up of five hundred citizens who were randomly chosen to become part of this board. All citizens could hold a position in the council, and could be elected twice in one lifetime. Citizens that were on the board were randomly selected to be head of State for the day.

All of which plus a natural supply of political eccentrics helps explain how Texas once had a board member who believed that public schools are the tool of the devil. Texas originally acquired its power over the nation s textbook supply because it paid 100 percent of the cost of all public school textbooks, as long as the books in question came from a very short list of board approved options. The selection process was grueling and tension filled, said Julie McGee, who worked at high levels in several publishing houses before her retirement. If you didn t get listed by the state, you got nothing. On the other side of the coin, David Anderson, who once sold textbooks in the state, said that if a book made the list, even a fairly mediocre salesperson could count on doing pretty well. The books on the Texas list were likely to be mass produced by the publisher in anticipation of those sales, so other states liked to buy them and take advantage of the economies of scale. What happens in Texas doesn t stay in Texas when it comes to textbooks, said Dan Quinn, who worked as an editor of social studies textbooks before joining the Texas Freedom Network, which was founded by Governor Ann Richards s daughter, Cecile, to counter the religious right. The cost for the Texas textbooks? As a market, the state was so big and influential that national publishers tended to gear their books toward whatever it wanted. Back in
