In this report I will be both contrasting and comparing the religious view of
Catholicism and the world view of Secular Humanism. The three questions I will be
analysing through the religious view of Catholicism and the world view Secular
Humanism include:
Is there a higher being?
What is the purpose of my life?
Is there a right way to treat people?
These three questions are very much conflicting worldwide and many philosophical
discussions have been debated for years, however with many different views on the
world, not everyone on Earth has the same answer to these. This may be due to
different upbringings through youth, values, and overall beliefs, including
Catholicism and Secular Humanism. Within this report there is no aim of finding the
truth or the actual answer, it is simply an analysis of people s personal beliefs to these
questions. I am going to include others opinions including my own interviewee s
(would like to be kept anonymous) thoughts and beliefs throughout the report,
including my own, and opinions I have researched to further analyse opinions of
different groups that can support these worldviews.

I have decided to specifically narrow my world religion view to Catholicism, which is
one of the main and largely practiced branches of Christianity.

In our lab, we tested how enzymes and substrates work and react together. An
enzyme is a protein that acts as an organic catalyst and lowers the activation energy
needed to start a chemical reaction. Each enzyme has only one specific job and is

This experiment studied the effects of caffeine on the reaction time of a number of
students. It was done with 12 individuals who all selected their own source of caffeine
to use for the testing. The three main caffeine sources were V energy drink, coffee
and red bull. The reaction times of these students were recorded before and after
drinking the caffeine in order to obtain results on the effect that caffeine had on the
individual. This was done by using an online reaction test where students were to
click on a button each time the green traffic light appeared. The results indicated
significant differences in the reaction times of the students pre and post caffeine
intake. Therefore, the experiment showed that caffeine did have an impact on the
reaction time of the student after consuming caffeine. This report allows comparison

For my observation I choose to watch a club I am part of. The club is the Student
Gamers Association, I am the secretary of the club. The absolute size club is
currently 119 members, less than half show up normally. The Student Gamers
Association is a normative organization. Our members join because of the common
interest of video, board, and card games. The club has five officer positions the
president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and the event coordinator. The
president holds the power of having the final say and organizing meetings. The
Vice president s job is to keep up with what other clubs are doing and promoting
