Crafting an essay on the significance of education in life presents both a rewarding yet
challenging task. While the subject matter is undeniably important and vast, the challenge lies in
distilling the myriad aspects of education into a coherent and engaging narrative. One must
delve into the multifaceted dimensions of education, encompassing its impact on personal
development, societal progress, and economic empowerment.
The complexity arises from the need to strike a balance between addressing the broad
implications of education and maintaining a focused and well-organized structure. One must
navigate through historical perspectives, contemporary challenges, and future aspirations, all
while ensuring a seamless flow of ideas that captivates the reader's attention.
Furthermore, articulating the intrinsic value of education involves a nuanced exploration of its
role in shaping individuals into informed, critical thinkers. Delving into the transformative power
of education requires addressing diverse facets, including cognitive growth, character formation,
and the cultivation of a lifelong learning mindset.
However, the difficulty lies not only in presenting a comprehensive view but also in infusing the
essay with a personal touch. Connecting the abstract notions of education to tangible experiences

2. Godfather Epilogue
Thank you for coming on such short notice, Father. a weary voice said as the door
opened. He had thinning grey hair, a scruffy beard, and looked downright
distraught. No worries, my good sir, he replied, removing his coat and hat. I m just
here to do the Lord s work, as he has commanded of all us righteous people. Both
men made their way to the upstairs bedroom, which was guarded by the man s two
sons, a pair of identical twins. They were also quite shaken up, much like their father.
Oh, thank goodness! they exclaimed.
Boys, I think we can save your mother, the man started. Father... err, what s your name

Well, it was easy money, Richard started. Blow into town claiming to be an
emissary of God, and people will look up to you and expect so much out of you.
The demon laughed in response to Richard s sob story.
Oh, please! I m expected to believe that an idiot like you would ve been able to pass
yourself off as a priest? it said.
Hey, all the people I performed exorcisms for were gullible, and I didn t feel guilty
at all for conniving them out of their money! Richard responded.
Wow, the demon responded. I know I m a demon, but I m pretty sure that s downright
evil.
Like you have a say in this whole debacle! You re possessing someone!
Yeah, but it s what I do. You re something that you re not supposed to be.
Theodore and his boys were still frozen in complete dumbfoundedness.
Whatever, Richard said, picking himself off the ground. I m out of here.
Richard grabbed his hat and coat, bid the family a good day, and promptly high tailed
it out of the area. Theodore gave chase, but not for long.

November 04, 2012 Running Head: Turnover Rate in Corrections Abstract
Throughout the years, there has been one major dilemma that continues to hassle the
administration whose sole purpose is to provide institutional sanctions, treatment
programs, and services for managing criminal offenders. This dilemma is the high
turnover rate of the Corrections Officers, whom agencies nation wide are losing at an

Officers are being ordered in on their off days or holidays, forced to work
mandatory overtime, a higher inmate to Correctional Officer ratio, as well as
experienced Officers having to work with an extensive amount of rookie or
inexperienced Correctional Officers. This combining of experienced officers with
new hires, who have not received any type of prior training, raises the stress level
during dangerous interactions with inmates, as well lowering the morale of the
Officers who remain and attempt to complete their careers with a specific agency.
This may be due to long term employees realizing that many of the new hires are
using their time as a Correctional Officer to gain experience, or as a stepping stone
to eventually become a road or patrol Officer, which may involve more experienced
Officers not spending the time necessary to assist, or provide On the job training
to the new hires. Additional causes of stress may include the threat of inmate
violence, actual inmate violence, inmate demands and manipulations, problems
with co workers, as well as having a poor public image. For example, Between
1990 and 1995, the number of attacks on correctional officers in State and Federal
prisons jumped by nearly one third, from 10,731 to 14,165 (Lommel, 2004). An
additional stress added to a Correctional Officers life is being able to balance and
separate work from their personal relationships. Workdays at a correctional facility

During the month of November, I became our school s acting testing coordinator.
Our testing coordinator was in an accident and went out on medical leave. She was
suddenly out for an undetermined amount of time and with a severe concussion
was unable to remember what she completed and what she did not. During her
absence, there were two assessments and a survey that needed to me completed.
These assessments included SAT 10, FFT (Teacher Survey) and MAP R. This was
a very demanding experience. The first thing that needed to be completed was the
FFT Teacher Survey. This is important to all teachers on cycle using the
Framework for Teaching. The Survey is a vital component to a teachers overall
effectiveness. If left incomplete, the teacher receives a score of zero for that
portion. When I became the acting testing coordinator, only two weeks were left in
the window and no surveys were completed. Within two weeks, I needed to
complete 167 surveys for 7 teachers. Unfortunately, the teachers could not assist in
this endeavor. I tried to create a schedule were I was able to conduct all 167 surveys.
This was impossible if I was still going to meet with my intervention students.
Therefore, I rounded up a team of individuals that had opportunity and the willingness
to assist. This team consisted of the ESOL teacher and the Guidance Counselor. The
team and I then created a plan that incorporated the surveys into the Guidance

view towards love and affection. Instead of giving Lear what he wants to hear and

her love for her husband and the other half for her father. This modesty causes Lear
to disown Cordelia and for him to take away the dowry he was going to give to
Cordelia. The first line. Good my Lord has a conation that Cordelia treats Lear
more like a god or ruler than a father. Even thought this was the correct thing to do

Cordellia is praising the physical things Lear has done for her, You have begot me,
bred me, loved me She is talking about common parental shows of affection and they
all happened in the past. Cordelia feels that she is too old to buy into any of this fake
praise like a child as her two sisters are doing. She will still be a respectful daughter
to Lear, Obey you, love you, and most honor you. However, this has a voice and
connotations that Corderlia is forced to do this and if it was up to her she would
not be loving or honor Lear. Cordelia says she has a obligation to give some of her
love to her husband, Haply, when I shall wed, / That lord whose hand must take
my plight shall/carry. However this is very pretentious of Cordelia because she is
not even married at this point and is only hypothetical. So she could not even
profess her love to her dying father. She is even being rude to Lear because she is
saying that her love for Lear can not go up but rather adjusts with her current

carbon market is just following the footsteps of that legacy and further undermines
the stability and capacity of the Earth to maintain a climate that favours life and
human societies, what in the end we all come out losers (While et al: 2010). 4.5.
The similarities between carbon market and subprime Some analysts and NGOs
(Friends of the Earth, ATTAC or even Al Gore) showed similarities between carbon
market and derivatives subprime (Philips et al, 2009; While et al: 2010): The
determination of project risk and liquidity to the permit market can be difficult for
buyers of offsets. The market is very regulated and opaque. Financial
transactions that hide risk: project developers (companies that specialize in
financing offset projects) as Eco Securities, who team up with investment banks
with more capital to provide guarantees, which include future offsets of several
project types and different locations, thus spreading the risk. It is estimated that
a large volume of allowances will be postponed Phase III of EU ETS largely
because of the allocation of Phase I and II and economic decline since 2008,
companies could accumulate up to 700 million surplus permits Phase II the
equivalent of 14 times the reduction of greenhouse gas demanded by the EU in 2008.

Simic, both examine the reality of war. Written in The Sorrow of Sarajevo depicts a
civilian s life in a warzone whereas Dulce Et Decorum Est is set in a soldier s point
of view in WW1. Despite both poems tackling the subject of war, they contrast in
their choice of language, tone and pace, alongside both using literary techniques.
The author of The Sorrow of Sarajevo , Goran Simic uses a tone that differs greatly
compared to Dulce Et Decorum Est . The tone in Simic s work focuses more on the
literal sense and is slow paced. Alternately, Owen s work is fast paced and surreal;
the author was able to convey a sense of horror and shock through the graphic

This is evident in the poem when the speaker states, Family photographs spill from
the back of a garbage truck; the definition behind this symbol is that the family
photographs symbolize the families and them spilling from a garbage truck
symbolizes the fact that they are now gone and worthless. This is because to have
family photographs, something that are always personally treasured, to be in a
garbage truck shows that the person that owns them is either gone or has lost worth
in the photograph. This leads back to the main topic of war, and how it had destroyed
the civilians and their families.
In Dulce Et Decorum Est the writer uses sensory language, a literary technique, to
describe the exhaustion of the soldiers. This can be seen when the speaker mentions
the quote, Drunk with fatigue; deaf to even the hoots of disappointed shells that
dropped behind, In that quote, the author uses the sense of hearing, showing that the
soldiers were so tired that they couldn t even hear the shells dropping. This technique,
sensory language, highlights how extreme the fatigue of the soldiers was, enabling
the reader to begin to fathom how much the war life put them

Language Dominates Society People take the idea of thought for granted. When a
person thinks they use language to create an idea in the mind. A human cannot talk to
another human and convey that thought if there is no language. If the government,
an organization, or an individual takes control of the language they could
systematically degrade communication and control people s thoughts. They could
take out words, combine words or change the meaning of them which is what
happened in 1984. Several years ago when a person wanted to send a text message
they had nine keys that represented two or three letters. To type one word numerous
clicks had to take place to achieve each letter. As soon as people learned how to text
they immediately shortened

Lippo Vanni s Madonna and child Enthroned (1343)
When the Roman Empire collapsed, Gothicism was born. While Gothic art was first
characterized as Romanesque art, Gothic art soon came to be its own form of art and
era during the Middle Ages. Gothic art was a new combination of sculpture, painting,
architecture and art. In its truest form, Gothicism is illustrated in Lippo Vanni s 1343
painting Madonna and Child Enthroned. Vanni s work is a symbol of the

Throughout the Gothic and Renaissance period, there were many other famous
painters and sculptors that have created Madonna images. For example, Giotto s
1300 work, Madonna Enthroned has many similarities to Vanni s work. The use of
the golden colored background is used to draw the viewer s attention and bring a
sense of religion, such as seen in Vanni s work. The composition is also similar to
Vanni s work in the sense that the main, and most important figures are the largest
and most prominent and the perspective is linear.
However, this work differs from Vanni in both complexity and presentation. Giotto
uses light and shadow, as well as more continuously moving lines in order to present
elements more naturally. For example, the drapes in the illustration seem to fall due
to the naturally occurring elements of gravity, making the painting more realistic.
Furthering the notion of natural elements, Giotto s figures have imperfect facial
features. Another difference between the two works is the presence of depth, seen
with the steps that lead to the

Database Systems
Introduction
In order to overcome the limitations of the file based approach, the concept of
database and the Database Management System (DMS) was emerged in 1960s.There
are following advantages and disadvantages of database approach over traditional file
based approach.
Advantage
Control of data redundancy
The database approach attempts to eliminate the redundancy by integrating the file.
Although the database approach does not eliminate redundancy entirely, it controls
the amount of redundancy inherent in the database
Sharing of data
Database belongs to the entire organization and can be shared by all authorized users.
Improved backing and recovery services
Modern database management system provides facilities to minimize the amount of
processing that can be lost following a failure by using the transaction approach.

In the stories, The Most Dangerous Game , Liberty , and Harrison Bergeron all
compare among their similarities. Each story uses the setting and their conflicts to
show the theme and the characteristics of each character. In these stories, they all
have different conflicts and settings, but they use the conflicts and settings to relate to
each other in their characters and the themes. There are similarities among the stories
The Most Dangerous Game, Liberty , and Harrison Bergeronin the themes for each
story. For example, in Harrison Bergeron the theme is to stand up for what you
know and what you believe is right. Harrison in the story escaped from prison, tore
his handicaps off, doing the rest for those who were also handicapped. Harrison
knew the risks of doing these tasks, but he did it to show people what life was

ongoing process of control by which a central system of power dominates the
surrounding land and its components. This means that a foreign government moves
into the land and seizes control; gaining power, natural resources, and a larger
economy. In the year 1492, an Italian explorer by the name of Christopher Columbus

When the British did begin colonization of the Americas, the lands they acquired
were regarded as the leftovers. It wasn t until the nineteenth century that the
prosperity shifted, with the British taking the upper hand. They had succeeded in
their colonization efforts. What were once little settlements along the East Coast of
North America, flourished out of the colonial period into the United States of
America and breaking free from British rule. The United States were more
economically successful, more politically successful, and had more international
power than the once prosperous and divided colonization of Latin America.
European colonization did not stop at the Americas. In the eyes of many, the
Europeans were very greedy and that greed and competition between the European
countries eventually led to the efforts to colonize Africa starting in 1870. For a thirty
year period following 1870, Africa faced European imperialist aggression, diplomatic
pressures, military invasions, and eventual conquest and colonization. By the early
twentieth century, all of Africa, with the exclusion of Ethiopia and Liberia, had been

20. Criminal Profiling And The Law Enforcement
Criminal profiling is the investigative profession that is used to help the law
enforcement and the government agencies to pursue unknown perpetrators. It
objectively seeks to identify the major personality and the behavioral
characteristics of the serial offenders based on a thorough analysis of the crimes
committed. It includes the combination of the analysis of the physical and the
behavioral evidence. This study aims at analyzing criminal profiling on the basis of
its basic elements and its use in law enforcement. The documented history of
criminal profiling is traced back to the publication of the Malleus Maleficarum, a
text from the 1400s; it was written by contractors of the early Roman Catholic
Church for the purpose of identifying and eradicating witches (Geberth 23). Despite
the fact that it was based on the author s speculation and the religious dogma during
that time, it was one of the first systematic methods that was used in the
identification and creation of inferences concerning the guilty individuals. The
modern criminal profiling was officially inaugurated by the FBI behavioral science
unit after several cases of mass homicides were observed in the U.S in the 1960s.
The apparent increase in the homicides during this time created a demand on the
investigators from the public to solve these crimes using expeditious ways (Geberth
43). This increased the pressure, the pressure on the investigators to use the possible
resources to track down on the suspects.

To paint or to plaster? That is the question many pool owners ask themselves when
it s time to redo their swimming pools. While both products come with their own

For painting, you ll have to degrease the pool s surface with TSP, acidetch the plaster
and then wash again with TSP, allowing for several days of air drying prior to
painting. For plastering, the material under the tiles and around the floor of the pool
will need to be specially cut and chipped, then acid etched to rough up the surface.
An additional coarse coat will be applied before the plaster is brought in.
How Nice Does It Look? While both products provide a well kept appearance to the
pool, it s important to decide which texture you prefer. Painting gives the bottom of
the pool a reflective look while plastering provides more of an eggshell finish, so the
decision is completely up to you.

cons. Discover what the right choice is for you by scheduling an appointment with

What is a compensation packages? Compensation packages are a group of different
benefits that employees gain for employers. Compensation is needed for every
business no matter what it is to be successful; I do not know anyone who would

by considering the present value of each cost and benefit. Present values are used
under the assumption that money available now is worth more than money in the
future. That is generally true in an economy with positive inflation, so values need to
be discounted for this effect. Cost benefit analysisuse ratios for assessing the
investment, but a positive cost benefit ratio does not necessarily mean you have a

25. Essay Understanding Phenomenology
This essay will refer only to the three texts given here:
M.M.P Maurice Merleau Ponty, The Primacy of Perception and Its Philosophical
Consequences
E.H Edmund Husserl, Pure Phenomenology, Its Method, and Its Field of Investigation
M.H Martin Heidegger, The Fundamental Discoveries of Phenomenology, Its
Principle, and the Clarification of Its Name
Pure phenomenology takes as given the existence of an intersubjective world(1), ( the
totality of perceptible things and the thing of all things M.M.P), and the existence of
perceptual subjects who perceive the phenomena(2) of the world. (This does not
necessarily mean the existence of the self, . ..all consciousness is perceptual, even the
consciousness of ourselves. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the key features of phenomenology as distinct from the sciences (including
maths, logic, etc) is its distinction between phenomena and Objects (Objekte)
All natural Objects... are objects foreign to consciousness. Consciousness does,
indeed, objectivate them and posit them as actual, yet the consciousness that
experiences them and takes cognizance of them is so singularly astonishing that it
bestows upon its own phenomena the sense of being appearances of Objects foreign
to consciousness and knows these extrinsic Objects through processes that take
cognizance of their sense. Those objects that are neither conscious processes nor
immanent constituents of conscious processes we therefore call Objects in the
pregnant sense of the word. E.H
If understood correctly, the distinction is that the scientific Object, no longer
remembers how it was originally perceived and since all knowledge must have its
genesis in perception, any theory or truth statement based upon the Object is
fundamentally flawed, because it has disregarded the phenomena from which it was
born.
This places two separate sciences in the sharpest of contrasts: on the one hand,
phenomenology, the science of consciousness as it is in itself; on the other, the
Objective sciences as a totality. E.H
The importance of phenomenology as distinct from and providing a

Cancer Sucks in Every Color
When someone has cancer. The whole family, and everyone who loves them does
too. Two people that I was and am very close to have had cancer in my lifetime. One
of which is still here today, and one passed away 25 April 2013. My main points of
this essay are: Multiple Myeloma Lessons learned about cancer, and finally Small
Cell Carcinoma. Cancer sucks and I am about to tell you my experiences with
cancer and how it has affected my family and those around us. My Grandfather (My
dad s dad) has a type of cancer called Multiple Myeloma. Multiple Myeloma is a
cancer that forms in a type of white blood cell called a plasma cell. Plasma cells help
you fight infections by making antibodies that recognize and attack germs. Multiple
Myeloma causes cancer cells to accumulate in the bone marrow, where they crowd
out healthy blood cells. My grandpa has had cancer for 5 7 years and it is now
spreading to his brain. Here at the V.A. Hospital in Boise they did an M.R.I. and then
send him and my dad to Seattle, WA. on the 31st of August. When they got to Seattle
they did another M.R.I. and they found a heart murmur, after they found the heart
murmur they drained ВЅ a gallon of fluid off of his lungs, then they discovered he
had Cirrhosis of the Liver. They went ahead and did the surgery anyways. They
removed a cancer tumor off of his skull the size of a golf ball, they also had to
remove part of his skull and they filled it in with metal mesh. They came home on
the 15th of September, they have to leave again on the 27th of September to get
the 100+ staples he has in his head due to surgery removed. Then they will both
come back for a while, but the downside is they have to go back to Seattle, WA. for
a solid seven weeks or more for chemotherapy. My Great Grandfather (My mom s
Grandfather) had a type of cancer and it has no cure. He got sick in December of
2013 while on vacation in Arizona, he thought it was a common cold, so when they
came home he kept taking cold medicine. In the middle of January beginning of

Position Statement
It is the position of the SAA that all college student athletes begin and remain amateur
athletes while attending college. Payment for college athletes should be scholarships
that can include tuition, books, dorm accommodations, meal on campus or while
traveling. Anything above this should be considered subsidized and is considered in
violation of the SAA s governing body.
Introduction
The SAA (Student Athletic Association) is an organization that was developed to

deal with the complexity of these problems. In 1952 the SAA was created as we
know it today to deal with these complex issues. Women s Athletics were introduced
in 1980, when Divisions II and III established 10 championships for 1981 82. A year
later, the historic 75th Convention adopted an extensive governance plan to include
women s athletics programs, services and representation. (Crowley, 2006)
Discussion
What has happened to the idea of attending college for the sake of an education and
playing a sport that is loved by the athlete to help offset the cost of a college
education? That simple thought seems to be lost as of late as college sports have
become a stepping stone for anyone wanting to play a professional sport. The current
dilemma in college athletics is weather to pay, especially football and basketball
athletes extra money while attending college. There has been much discussion and
rational on the subject over the last few years. According to James H. Humphrey,
Stress in College Athletics there are 5 causes of stress among college athletes. 1.
Academic Problems, 2.Athletic demands, 3. Time 4. Relationships with others, 5.

Below the Mogollon Rim near Payson runs the East Verde River, a waterway that
is supplemented with discharge of water collected on The Rim at CC. Cragin

name from the mechanization of the water s power through a metal water wheel
fashioned from milk cans that was used by gold miner James Dave Greer to crush ore
and supply a sluice box with water.
The United States Geological Survey pinpoints the waterway s rate of flow at

This source was useful because it assessed my question of How were African

perspectives people had towards those of color back then which has helped me

provided me with views of both those who felt superior to the people of color, those
who did not and also of those who did feel slavery was unfair but did nothing about

Type and topology of LAN
In the early beginnings of a Local Area Network consisted of mainframe computers

back ends take care of requests by clients, clients are systems or applications that
request services, Servers manage the network and its resources, routers link the two
or more networks together, and switches allow multiple computers on a network
interface to communicate. These are for small locations like an office building.
A Hybrid topology can incorporate multiple topologies to give it other routes to
travel. They can use a central hub or switch using the unshielded twisted pair Ethernet
cables for the Star topology. They can have a backbone network using the Fiber
Distributed Data Interface or FDDI.
They can also use the Wireless topology using access points as part of the hybrid
topology. This is a great feature for both employees and customers. The range is up
to 100 meters and is fast when needing to access applications. It uses the 2.4 and 5
GHz band. It is also cheap and cost effective.
LAN cabling
The two types that can be use are the twisted pair and fiber optical cabling. There
are two types of twisted pair cables. They are shielded and unshielded Ethernet
cables. They are copper wires being twisted around to protect from emissions and
noise. They are mainly used in an internal network or office because it is cheaper
and easier to install. They use an RJ45 connecter and

Director Stephen Daldry openly deals with homosexuality and intentionally creates
doubt surrounding Billy s sexuality thus fuelling debate and discussion. Through out

Billy s rejection of Debbie in the bedroom episode could be used as evidence to

that his cold and affirmative No, that s ok shows that he has no interest in the

Billy s affirmation that I m not a poof could also be met with some degree of

upland portion of the region, and are for the most part, of Carboniferous age,

Throughout history, humans have committed many atrocities against one another.
WWII was the birthplace for some of the worst crimes against humanity ever
committed. Often times, we view the United States as a hero in WWII; as a force
that fought on the side of good. However, the United States is not an exception
when it comes to detestable acts in WWII. Aside from Hiroshima and Nagasaki,
one of our worst acts as a superpower came during Japanese war crime investigations
after the war was over. During the trials of Unit 731, a deal was made with Ishii Shiro
that the government is still trying to cover up. First, it is important to review Unit
731 and the U.S cover up so that we may address more detailed issues concerning
this topic. We will then explore the government statements on the issue of medical
and military advances as a result of the deal, and explore evidence that provides a
contrary conclusion.
One of the greatest horrors of WWII, Unit 731, is often overlooked when talking
about WWII atrocities, perhaps because it is not taught in the secondary education
curriculum. Unit 731 was a top secret Japanese medical unit during the cold war that
focused on producing biological and bacteriological weapons during WWII. While
biological and bacteriological are, by many, considered to be inhumane in nature,
Unit 731 went even further by partaking in human experimentation in order to
achieve greater knowledge about these weapons, and to gain knowledge about
anything that might

the world have begun to build considerable natural gas pipelines, the length of
global main pipelines have exceed 1,600,000 Kilometer so far. Currently, it has
already become an important way to transport a large quantity of natural gas on
land. This essay will show the efficiency of natural gas pipeline transportation in
safety, stability and economy aspects. In addition, pipelines can enable natural gas
transport more secure, stable and economical. Pipelines safety will be discussed in
the first, following this, the essay will show that pipelines are easier to maintain a

Evolution of Cognitive Psychology
Cognitive psychology is defined as the scientific study of mental processes (Riegler
Riegler 2008, p. 1). During the 1960s, cognitive psychology became an emerging
presence in the field of psychology. During this time period, attention to the study of
how internal states, such as thoughts, feelings, and moods influence behavior (Cherry
2010, p. 12). Cognitive psychology studies how individuals think, comprehend

21). Human beings process information in a similar way. The creation of the
computer was a great advantage in the field as well. Scientists found that the human
mind and a computer shared many features in input, information processing, and
organization.
Another reason in the emergence in cognitive psychology was the S R approach.
The S R approach of learning language was devised by B.F. Skinner; which was a
behaviorist approach. Skinner argued that even complex ability like language could
be captured in purely S R terms (Riegler Riegler 2008, p. 20). Noam Chomsky
criticized Skinner s analysis regarding the S R approach claiming it to appear to be
scientific. Chomsky felt that language was grasped in the mind, thus, popularized
cognitive psychology. Overall, behaviorism was unreliable in the explanation of
language.
Impact of the Decline of Behaviorism on Cognitive Psychology
The decline of behaviorism enabled the presence of cognitive psychology. Critics of
behaviorism believed that the failure was to address factors such as free will, internal
thoughts, and other methods of learning (Cherry, 2010). Behaviorists introduced the
emphasis on scientific method, therefore, opening the door to cognitive psychology.
According to Riegler Riegler (2008) the failure of the S R approach, coupled with the
promise and excitement

repeated notes. The music has a #190; rhythm and an adagio tempo. There is a
quiet woodwind passage with a timpani roll and crescendo. The main melody is
then played by brass. It is then repeated with cymbal crashes, brass fanfares and a
timpani roll. There is a crescendo with discords and imperfect cadences. And the
piece ends with a perfect cadence and timpani roll.
Panorama
The harp and pizzicato bass strings accompany a legato string melody in major.
There is a crescendo and diminuendo, and then melody is repeated. The music is
quite fast and again has a #190; rhythm. There is a modulation to minor and the
strings play a sequence, which is repeated by brass. Major harp scales close the piece.
Waltz
The piece opens with a major ascending sequence by the orchestra with an imperfect
cadence. Bass instruments play the waltz rhythm for 2 bars then the strings come in
with the sequential legato melody.
43. Manuel Noriega Research Paper
Central America s everlasting theme of violence, drugs and poverty influence the
way many see as a culture of darkness and crime. The great leader of Panama,
Manuel Antonio Noriega, was born in Panama City, Panama on February 11,
1934. Noriega s early path seemed to be winding its way towards failure after
being born into a very poor family and abandoned at the age of 5. These emotional
and physical hardships could have determined the rest of his life, but Noriega did
not allow these events to shape his future. Through hard work and sacrifice, he was
awarded a scholarship to the Chorrillos Military School in Lima, Peru, one of the
most renowned high schools in all of Central America.3 His major in education was
military intelligence and counterintelligence.4
44. Example Of Act Utilitarianism
A utilitarian argument, in the strict sense, is one what alleges that we ought to do
something because it will produce more total happiness than doing anything else
would. Act utilitarianism is the moral theory that holds that the morally right action,
the act that we have a moral duty to do, is the one that will maximize utility
happiness, welfare, well being Act utilitarianismis not to be confused with egoism.
The egoist really only cares about his own happiness. Act utilitarianism says that
everyone s happiness counts equally.
A utilitarian argument in a looser sense is one that alleges that we ought to do
something because of its good consequences or not do something because of its bad
consequences , where good or bad consequences need ... Show more content on

Drawbacks related to reactor design and catalyst solubility limitations have been
major concerns associated with the widely applied homogeneous methanol
carbonylation technology. Consequently, immobilizing the Rh complex on a support
was investigated. PEP Review 88 3 4, Acetic Acid by Low Pressure Carbonylation of

acetic acid production rates. In 1993, Chiyoda also developed a commercial
heterogeneous Rh catalyst system to producef acetic acid (560989). Recently,
Chiyoda and UOP jointly developed an improved methanol carbonylation process the

The Role of Pet Meds in Taking Care of your Pet s Health and their Well Being
By pet options
Dec 24, 2011
Taking care of a pet is always an important task because they are just like us, the
humans. In particular, when we have a pet at home, we need to give the basic care
and comfort to them. What you need to do is just organized way of taking care of
them. You don t need to toil a lot if you are systematic in taking care of them. We
certainly may need all the necessary pet items when we own a pet because it needs
maximum comfort and care. You cannot just ignore their needs. Moreover, you don t
need to worry a lot about this. When you can avail pet supplies out there in the
market at reasonable rates, why you need to panic? You can have a wonderful time
with your pets if you pay attention on such things.
Keeping all sorts of essential pet meds at home is more than a necessity. You never
know when the pet is going to fall sick. It does not mean that you have to keep all
the medication at home; however, you must have at least all the necessary
medications at home. Medications for flea, stomach illness, cold, vomiting, and
diarrhoea is a must. You can get them easily from a local store or else you can order
these pet medications from an online ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If you start treating it with frontline plus just at the onset of flea infection, you can
make sure that the fleas are away from the pets very soon. Another choice of
medications at home is NSAIDs. Such medications are a real help as you can give
them when they are in any sort of pain or stress. For instance the animal who suffers
from osteoarthritis can take the help of NSAIDs such as Deramaax and Etodolac.
Meds like amitriptyline takes care of depression in animals. This medicine should be
a great help in controlling behavioural changes in cats and dogs. Pet meds like

48. Methods to Determine Cable Size under Harmonic
Condition
In many methods, skin and proximity effects are very important. Another important
parameter is alternative current (a.c.) resistance, rac. This parameter is frequency
dependence. It can be shown that rac increased with the increased of frequency (Du,
Burnett, (2000), (Demoulias, Labridis, Dokopoulos Gouramanis, 2007), (Desmet,
Vanalme, Belmans, Van Dommelen, 2008). Some research papers used value from
published graph such as by The Okonite Company and Anixter Inc. (The Okonite
Company, 2001), (Anixter Inc., n.d.). However upon inspection, it was found that
the graph is produced on the basis of fundamental frequency of 60 Hz and using
imperial unit. Some other sources, although on 50 Hz as fundamental basis, give
limited data such as (Moore, 1997), (Coates, n.d). As an alternative, formula from
IEC 287 1 1 was used to calculate the rac (IEC, 1994).
Skin and proximity effects are part of formula to calculate cable ampacity known as
Neher McGrath (NM) method in 1957 (Blackledge, O Connell, Barrett Sung, 2012,
2012). However this method, according to the authors, could not handle a range of
harmonic frequencies. In 1991, Ajit Hiranandani (AH) introduced a way to calculate
temperature and ampacity of a cable using generalised finite difference model
(Hiranandani, 1991). Hiranandani (1995) produced a paper which tackles the
problem of size selection for cable under harmonic condition. In this paper, he
introduced term such as harmonic signature (HS), with reference to

the renowned schools in Pakistan. Besides its excellent education, it also believes
in providing physical education to students which is the essence of the school and
has produced a number of international players who earned a good name for the
country. I was quite an energetic student in school and I used to participate in almost
all types of healthy sports activities. I participated in many of our school
extracurricular activities and sports events like Cricket tournament, basketball,
Science Olympiad, Role play. All this helped me a lot in building up a strong
positive personality and to learn valuable social skills.
Mathematics, Physics and Computers were my favorite subjects from the beginning

50. Charleston Lean Summary
The class first started on the Earthquake tour at Randolph Hall, stop four. The photos
that were shown in the app of Randolph were not large enough, and they did not show
what the app was claiming, that the roof and windows were tilted due the ground
sinking. Additionally, they should have included something about the subsidence of
the ground, and the soil that causes this, as it would have been an excellent segway
into the next stop that focuses some on the Charleston Lean.
Moving on the stop five, the Communication Museum, they did well to explain why
brick buildings suffered more during the earthquake, but again nothing here told the
audience what causes the Charleston Lean besides the obvious fact of the
earthquake. The app should have gone into some details about the soil here, or if that
was already explained in the last stop, give more information regarding the history of
the Communication Museum, or as to how the wood being more flexible would have
prevented massive amounts of damage.
Continuing on to Stop seven on King Street, the app discusses and attempts to show
the earthquake bolts that run throughout the building at 273 and 276 King Street.
They should focus on one of the buildings here though, possibly the one with
earthquake bolts in it, and discuss how the earthquake bolts protect the building. ...

The app does talk about how the market is now built on top of an old creek that
was covered by artificial land and debris; additionally, it discusses liquefaction and
the effects it has on Charleston buildings. However, the app should have discussed
this earlier as many other buildings were built on marsh land, or had their soil filled
with artificial land and debris. Furthermore, the app should have discussed another
hazard that accompanied the devastation of the earthquake: the fires that were caused
by the gas lamps outside of almost every house of the time
51. The Roman Republic
Some policies and institutions of the Roman Republic were useful to help them
succeed in conquering first Italy and then the Mediterranean world. Before of the
institution of the republic, the romans were a monarchy since their beginning and
they were basically a pastoral people. Rome suffer several changes and improvements
under the control of the Etruscan kings. The Etruscan were civilization settled north
of Rome in Etruria, and they once had control over almost all the Italic peninsula. The
Etruscans influences in Rome were profound, they transformed Rome from a pastoral
community to a city (91). The Etruscan built the street and roads that help the
development of temples, markets, shops, streets, and houses. They basically brought
urbanization to Rome. It is fairly to say that the Rome republic was a fusion between
the elements of the Etruscan civilization and the Rome elements. The combination of
the different political institutions and policies made the Romans succeed in their
conquest territories. The policies that the romans implemented in the republic years
played a crucial role in the conquest of the Latium and the Italic peninsula. The
various policies that the romans established to govern Italy is called the Roman
confederation. One important policy was that Romans made felt the conquered
people that they helped to succeed Rome. Some conquered people, especially the
Latins, were allowed full roman citizenship; others received citizenship without the
right to
52. Breaking Free in The Matrix Essay
Breaking Free in The Matrix
Eighteenth century Enlightenment philosopher Jean Jacques Rousseau begins his
infamous discourse The Social Contract by stating, Man is born free; and
everywhere he is in chains. One thinks himself the master of others, and still remains
a greater slave than they. Both Plato s Allegory of the Cave from The Republic and
the Wachowski Brothers hit film The Matrix discuss man s efforts on his journey
towards illumination to break free of his chains and then liberate others imprisoned.
While definite connections exist between the allegory and The Matrix, Plato and the
Wachowski Brothers present different paths that one may take to achieve that end.
The Matrix utilizes the symbolic figure ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because of these unique abilities Morpheus and the other rebels treat Neo as the only
hope for winning the war. Although he possesses obvious talents, Morpheus cannot
perform the feats that Neo can, and neither can Trinity, Cypher, Switch, nor any
other member of the resistance. In turn, they elevate Neo to an almost savior like
position, their own personal Jesus Christ. Like Christ, a prophecy heralded Neo s
coming, which ...would hail the destruction of the Matrix, end the war, bring freedom
to our people. These aspects of the film emphasize Neo s superhero status, punctuated
by the movie s ending image of him soaring into the sky like Superman.
In describing ...the ascent of the soul into the intellectual world... (Jowett 179), Plato
suggests a more personal journey. The Matrix suggests that the One, a single person
with certain unique abilities, must lead others to enlightenment while Plato s men in
the cave do not possess any distinguishing characteristics, not even names. Plato does
not denote any specifics concerning the ...human beings living in an underground
den... (177) rather he carefully describes the details of their confinement, which
suggests perhaps the people bear no great importance but their situation does. To the
reader, these prisoners could be male or female, of any race or religion. Because of
his lack of specifications, one could
53. Crime Is The Nature Of Crime
It is widely assumed that the media, particularly television, newspapers and the
internet, are primary sources of knowledge and understanding of crime issues in our
21st century modern society (Nguyen et. al, 2005). However, there is widespread
concern that the level and type of crime reported in the media produces an inaccurate
view of the reality of crimein the community (Fields Jerin, 1996; Windschuttle,
1988). The purpose of this essay is to address the question; is the nature of crime in
our society accurately presented in the media? To effectively provide an answer, a
discussion on public perceptions, crime statistics and the impact of crime reporting in
the media will commence. Following will be a conclusion that will state that the
nature of crime in our society is not accurately presented in the media.
There has been extensive research comparing the nature of crime in the media with
the nature of crime in reality with most evaluations concluding that the media greatly
distorts or misrepresents not only the nature of crime but also crime rates, typical
victims and typical offenders (Hayes and Prenzler, 2015). Often, this research draws
upon official crime statistics which have consistently shown that most crime is non
violent and not rising (Davis Dossetor, 2010) which is oppositional to the media s
portrayal (Garofalo, 1981). Even so, public perceptions continue to emanate a
reflection of the media s influence as Davis Dossetor (2010) highlight through a
54. Populist and Progressive Movements
Populist And Progressives
The Populists and Progressive were two major movements that occurred during the
outbreaks of the workers union after the civil war. The populists began during the late
1800s and the progressives began during the 1900s. There are many differences
between these two movements, but yet both of these movements have many things in
common. During this time, farmers united to protect their interests by creating a
major political party. This party was known as the Peoples Party, which became
known as the Populist Party. Populists drew their strength from rural areas as many
Populists tended to mostly be poor and uneducated. They had ideas such as
government ownership of major industries. Progressives, also affected by
industrialization, began their movements in order to reestablish their society. The
Populists supported labor demands, such as people in the labor force only being
allowed to work eight hour workdays. The Populists tried to encourage more
governmental control over the banking systems as well as governmental control
over the operation of the nation s railroad and communication systems. One of the
most controversial Populist demands was the money supply. Farmers saw inflation
as a way to improve their way of living as the price level of their crops began to rise.
The farmers also planned to expand the money supply at on point.
Progressivism began in the early 1900s. Progressivism was mostly centered in the
cities and
55. Different Philosophies That People Believe
There are several different worldviews that people believe in. Those might ask what
exactly is a worldview? Here is the definition: A worldview is the framework of basic
beliefs
that we hold, whether we realize it or not, that shapes our view of and for the world.
Everyone
has a worldview. The question is not whether one has a worldview but which one
has. 1 Here is
the definition of a biblical worldview rather than just a worldview: A biblical
worldview is
based on the infallible word of God. When you believe the Bible is entirely true, then
you allow
it to be the foundation of everything you do. 2 As Christians those should have
different
worldviews then nonbelievers. Any foundation for a Christian worldview must begin
with
scripture. It is from the Word of God that we receive special revelation concerning the
nature of
God, humankind, ultimate reality, goodness and life expectations. 3
There are many different key principles of a biblical worldview. Here is a list of seven
key ones that I found that stuck out. First, Equality of human beings. Second, Biblical
perspective on marriage. Third, Sexual Ethics. Next Government and civil authority.
Another,
Superiority. Another, Common Good. Lastly, Conscientious witness. 4 All seven of
these
principles have something in common with one another and with having a biblical
worldview.
The quality of human beings really stuck out in the research. We should treat all
human beings
57. The War Of The British Rule From India
However, Indians were exploited and apparently suffered due to other several
cruel actions of/ taken by British. Their land, house and riches were taken away in
some or the other way. Majority of people population loosed their hopes, some
were still in hope of getting rid of the British and some were determined to remove
British rule from India but there was no such string that could reunite people. people
participated in many revolution but were not that much confident. They struggled a
lot. Earlier kings and other aristocrats but common people came into confidence and
were pumped up by lit. They were not able to express their miseries anyhow.
However, people started expressing their desires and conditions through poems. This
gave an idea to poets(also revolutionaries) to write poems and songs which had that
much sense of patriotism that it moved people to do something for their motherland
and for their freedom /the intensity of patriotism to that extend that after listening or
reading them, people should get moved to do something for their motherland/ to
write poems and songs in which/where patriotism was at that magnitude from where
it moved people to something good, to sacrifice their riches for their motherland and
for their freedom. However, many poets wrote on whatever they saw but whatever
they wrote, was such so charismatic that it immediately lit the fire in the souls of
people. There are several poets who can also be called revolutionaries who wrote
something
58. Beowulf A New Telling Analysis
Beowulf a New Telling by Robert Nye was a very unusual yet interesting story
because of how the author use sensory details and figurative language, this story
also showed many themes since each character acted a different way and added a
new theme. During the story Beowulf shows both good and evil in his character in
many different ways. He tries to save the land of the Danes by killing an evil soul
named Grendel who haunts Hall Heorot and Grendel s mother by swimming down
into a pool of blood to defeat her. While doing these things Beowulfhas t5o deal with
Unferth, an old drunken fellow who disagreed with the killing of Grendel. Once
Beowulf had done what he had came to do he decided that it was time to go back
to the land of the Geats which was his hometown. There he became the King and
defeated the Firedrake, a lizard like creature that haunted the burying places of men.
Beowulf was aging and soon after that he passed and was buried at a great green fist
of land that stuck out into the sea and was remembered for his great events that were
haunting the people of the Danes and Geats. Throughout this book there are many
different themes that come about. One that I saw many different times throughout the
story was generosity. Beowulf showed it very much during the story. Some examples
of him showing it is when he volunteered to go fight off Grendel without hesitation.
Also when he said that he would go swim down to the bottom of the blood pool to
defeat and put
