1. Example Analysis Essay
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Example Analysis Essay" can be both challenging and
rewarding. The difficulty lies in the intricate balance between providing a comprehensive
analysis while ensuring the content remains engaging and coherent.
Firstly, one must delve into the chosen example with a discerning eye, dissecting its components
and unraveling its layers. This demands a keen analytical mindset, where the writer must identify
key elements such as themes, symbolism, and narrative techniques. The challenge lies not just in
recognizing these aspects but also in presenting them in a structured and logical manner.
Next, the writer must navigate the delicate terrain of interpretation. It's not merely about stating
facts; it's about constructing a meaningful interpretation that adds value to the reader's
understanding. This requires a nuanced understanding of the subject matter and the ability to
convey complex ideas with clarity.
Moreover, maintaining a cohesive flow throughout the essay is crucial. The analysis should
unfold seamlessly, guiding the reader through the writer's thought process. Transitions between
paragraphs must be smooth, ensuring a coherent narrative that keeps the audience engaged.
Additionally, incorporating relevant evidence to support arguments is essential. This involves
meticulous research and the ability to integrate quotes or examples effectively. Striking the right
balance between analysis and supporting evidence is a delicate art that demands both skill and
precision.
Lastly, the writer must consider the overall structure and style of the essay. This includes

3. Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind By Michel Gondry
Essay
A hollow feeling inside of your chest consumes your body. The room is filled with
your sobs and hiccuped breaths. A million thoughts are racing through your head;
none of these are positive. You tell yourself that you wish you never met them. You
plea at the universe to take away all the memories of them. You beg to never again
feel this type of agony. If possible, would you eradicate the memory of another
human?
In the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Joel Barish (Jim Carrey) and
Clementine Kruczynski (Kate Winslet) do exactly this. Directed by Michel Gondry,
this American romantic comedy wonderfully expresses the idea that a person s
memories are fundamental in human growth. Through cinematography, lighting, and
character development, Gondry successfully directs one of the best twenty first
century films.
The cinematography of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind effectively develops
the film s plot and characters. In the beginning of the movie, Joel is shown awaking
in a close up. This shot easily shows the gloomy expression on his face, asking the
audience to question why he is upset. Hand held cameras provide the story with a
natural, more realistic feel, inviting the audience into Joel s memories. The hand held
cameras provide the film with an imperfect, human perspective. This can be viewed
primarily in the honeymoon on ice scene. Slight shakes of the camera are evident. In
the scene when Joel and Clementine see each other on the train to Montauk, far
4. Analysis Of Thomas Hardy s Of The D
Author Thomas Hardy is typically distinguished for following a trend in which all
his fiction is characterized by chance being the incarnation of the blind forces
controlling human destiny. As J Clipper once said, Hardy reflected Nietzsche s
agonized cry that God is dead , in his novels. His view of life was that since there is
no God to give meaning to life, Man is alone in the Universe, no better and no
worse than other creatures who live or have lived for a brief moment on this speck
called Earth. The Universe and fate is essentially malevolent and benevolent. Hardy
believes that God, whether he once was once a presence or not, has disappeared
entirely from the world. People are left to defend themselves and cope in a society...

in a kind of predetermination and fatality, demonstrated by the fact that her mother
often consults the complete fortune teller, an old book of astrological guidance.
Tess however has been educated, and thus does not subscribe to the same beliefs
that her mother does. In a similar way, Hardy uses Tess s father John Durbyfield to
illustrate the power of fate to change one s life. In chapter one, when John is told of
the nobility that exists in their bloodline, he believes that their life will soon be
catastrophically changed. Don t you really know, Durbyfield, that you are the lineal

the 1940s to the 1970s, Fletcher was a professor at the Episcopal Divinity School,

A newly popular, controversial issue debated upon is the implementation of school
uniforms. In the United States, school uniforms have become more and more
widespread. Although, some schools disagree with the requirement of a school
uniform and decide to require a school dress code instead. The pros and cons of a
school uniform are very controversial. Deciding whether a school uniform should be
implemented is not a black and white issue.
Arguments to support school uniforms state that school uniforms create an altogether
better environment for students. This better environment in turn, creates more

(Cons, Pro) Requiring all students to wear the same uniform creates less diversity
and causes students to become more dedicated in their academics. By doing so,
uniforms, take away the daily fashion show and helps level the playing field a little
bit with the haves and have nots, (Sweeney, Emily).
Relating to the less diversity that uniforms create in schools, uniforms can decrease
the formation of cliques and gangs. Due to the fact that all students are dressed the
same, members of a certain gang can not be identified. Another positive about
implementing uniforms is that students can be easily identified and the identification
of an intruder or outsider can take place easily.
Uniforms create pride and unity throughout a school. Some experts believe that
uniforms help students to, develop a stronger team mentality among the student body,
(9 Serious). Uniforms can in turn, increase school spirit. This is possible, again
relating to, the students all wearing the same or similar uniforms and decreasing the
variety of outfits throughout a student body.
Some arguments that are seen as positives for enforcing school uniforms are
controversial because critics believe the arguments are not valid. Due to the fact that
all students are dressed the same and less variety of outfits are prevalent, critics state
that school uniforms deny students the ability of self expression. Critics, argue that

which led to novelists and poets to challenge literary conventions. Women were on

womansuffragemovement in the United States and president (1892 1900) of the

the world began to use more freedoms and exhibit more confidence. World War I

10. The Pros And Cons Of South Korea And Japan
South Korea and Japan currently do not have any trade agreements in place and many
observers attribute this to the political and ideological disputes between the two
countries over territories, historical events, and security concerns. However, there
have been attempts to foster economic cooperation such as the South KoreaJapan Free
Trade Agreement Joint Study Group Project in October 2003, and the South Korea
Japan Economic Partnership Agreement in April 2008 (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
Japan). Since then, these attempts have gone through a turbulent journey with
negotiations halting and resuming with no fruition of a signed agreement.
Grieco states that the key interest of states is not about individual well being, but
survival and security at their core interest. A problem that will inhibit cooperation
between states is the uncertainty of one state about another state s future intention.
As such, states pay close attention to how cooperation might affective their relative
capabilities in the future, and the possibility of a more power potential adversary

interdependence as we have addressed earlier in their trading relationship, it is highly

11. The Concept Of Core Competencies
Core Competencies The concept of core competencies since its first proposition by
Prof Gary Hamel in 1990 has been subject of intense study and interest for firms to
deliver sustainable competitive advantage (Gupta, 2013) Core competencies are
the essence of what a company does well. A business uses its core competencies to
make and develop products, goods and services according to its company mission.
Core competencies are not easily replicated. They usually come from years of
experience and are stored in the collective knowledge base of the company and its
employees (Investopedia Stock Analysis, 2015). Core competencies are what
gives a company a clear advantage over that of its competitors, and is what is used
to set the company apart. Businesses have to know what it is they do well, if they
want to stay competitive in today s global marketplace. I do believe Bluestem is
already focusing on its core competencies and what it does well. Bluestem Brands,
Inc. has gained a competitive edge in the retail industry by providing quick in house
credit to the consumers who browse their site who may not have any money or credit
available to them. By refining this process and focusing on it as one of their main
strengths, they now generate more revenue in the interest collected off of their credit
accounts, than on the merchandise being sold. Core Competencies Biblical

12. The Pathos Of Failure By Thomas Elsaesser
The Pathos of Failure, is Thomas Elsaesser s diagnosis of an ideological trend that
occurred in mainstream Hollywood in the 1960s 1970s. During this time, the
American film industry saw an unprecedented, revolutionary detour in stylistic
experimentation, and thematically, a focus on the somewhat sentimental gestures
of defeat, (Eleasser 234). This shift represented a departure from Classical
Hollywood s idealized vision of America, the films of which reproduced aspects of
dominant American ideology subject to increasing contempt among audiences.
Interesting parallels can be drawn between The Graduate (1967) and The Parallax
View (1974) in relation to Elseasser s analysis. The Pathos of Failure is felt acutely
in both films, not only thematically, but also in the craft of the films themselves: non
linear, episodic, unresolved narratives and complex, counter cultural, marginal male
protagonists, whose goals are ill defined and ultimately unattained (Hehr 85).
Perhaps the allure of these films was that they required a degree of critical
engagement from the audience, reflected by wider society s growing cynicism
towards American institutions and their basic pillars, (Hehr 31). There is a certain
comfort, I will argue, in honestly acknowledging both internal conflicts and greater
societal defects through the medium of cinema. Where the Classical Hollywood film
would typically offer a solution to the problems established, the Hollywood
Renaissance film, via irresolution

In the 1930s, during the Great Depression, Secretary of agriculture Henry Wallace
introduced farm subsidies as a temporary solution to deal with an emergency. That
emergency was a collapse of farm incomes with 25 percent of the population
depending on agricultural earnings (Riedl, 2007). But today farmers make up just 1
percent of the population and farmincomes are well above the national average,
making the original purpose of subsidies irrelevant (Kelley, 2016). On average, the

Six Sigma
Six Sigma is a household name in the world of industry. Six Sigma is a union of of
methods and instruments that are created for one sole purpose process improvement.
An engineer named Bill Smith, who worked at the cellphone company, Motorola, in
1986, first initiated this principle. 9 years later, Jack Welch from General Electric
made Six Sigma central to his business strategy.
The name Six Sigma was originated from the Greek letter sigma, which has a
function of denoting variation from a certain standard. In statistics, the word
sigma measures how much is the distance of a certain process with perfection. The
main idea of Six Sigma is that if the defects or flaws of a certain process can be
defined, then it is certain that the aforementioned defects and flaws can be
eliminated in order to achieve perfection or the stage of zero defects . In order to
achieve the aforementioned goal, a process must be able to produce no more than 3.4

Style Analysis Essay We do not fear the unknown. We fear what we think about the
unknown. Is a quote from Teal Swan. This idea is incorporated into a lot of director
s movies, however Tim Burton, a creator of many famous movies, would probably
have one of the best understandings of this idea. This is because Burton tends to use
ideas about the unknown in many of his films. However, these ideas of fearing the
unknown and curiosity of the unknown are especially prominent in Burton s films
such as The Corpse Brideand Edward Scissorhands. Burton typically uses techniques
such as some sort of misfit protagonist that is different than most people and a
judgmental society that treats said protagonist in terrible ways to convey to the
audience that society wrongly teaches people to fear the unknown.
Burton typically has the misfit protagonist deemed an outcast by their society or
the society they enter. For instance, in The Corpse Bride the protagonist, Victor
Van Dort, is a sort of clumsy and, quite frankly, normal character. Yet despite how
normal Victor is, his society, or more specifically, his parents and soon to be in
laws, expect him to be this perfect person and, inevitably, fails to do so at his
wedding rehearsal, because of this he is deemed an outcast by his parents and soon
to be in laws. Eventually Victor runs away from his town and finds himself in an
unknown place. Being in this place made Victor realize that he had no reason to fear

times, the ruler was Queen Elizabeth I. She had brought and gave music and dancea

In court music, the violin was a new instrument and was commonly used. Keyboard

Court musicians were the main people when it came to performing. During her reign,
Queen Elizabeth had employed over seventy musicians and singers. Elizabethan

overdose in 2016 then died in the entirety of the Vietnam War. (Lopez). Innocent
people die from them that are just bystanders. This has to stop and drug tests are
helping. A safer environment is the main reason businesses started doing this.
People should not have to give a life because of someone else s actions. People at
work are protected by the test as well. The employer saves money as well because no
equipment is destroyed and no lives will be taken.
Drug testing is for the better than the worse. The people who think otherwise need
to be tested. It protects people, weather its the user people at work ,or the innocent
bystander keeping people off drugs will help build and protect this country. It s also
helping build a new generation drug free, and that is the goal for drug
21. Ophelia And Gertrude Gender Roles In Hamlet
The play Hamlet explores gender roles throughout it s acts. The female characters
Ophelia and Gertrude emphasize the way women were treated at the time in
Elizabethan England. Through the actions other characters you can see how Hamlet
reflects the oppression that other women faced during their time.
Prince Hamlet is a prime example of a man who disrespects and disregards women
and their feelings. Throughout the play, Prince Hamlet manipulates Ophelia
multiple times. For example, in Act 2 Scene 1, Ophelia states My lord, as I was
sewing in my closet, Lord Hamlet, with his doublet all unbrac d; No hat upon his
head; his stockings foul d, Ungarter d, and down gyved to his ancle; 90 Pale as his

After King Hamlet died, she marries his brother, King Claudius. This action upsets
her son and he has many disrespectful things to say about it, such as That it should
come to this! But two months dead: nay, not so much, not two: so excellent a king
that was to this, Hyperion to a satyr, so loving to my mother... Frailty, thy name is
woman! Hamlet criticizes and insults his own mother, the lady who raised him.
This blatant disrespect for females does not even stop for his mother. This
exemplifies how women who remarried were viewed. They were not respected and
considered weak for not being able to live as a widow for the rest of their life. At the
very end of the play, Queen Gertrude accidentally drinks the poisoned wine meant
for Hamlet (V.ii.26 28.) Before she drank the wine. King Claudius told her not to,
yet she disobeyed and did so anyways. This is the first time she disobeyed King
Claudius, it is also the last time because she dies shortly after drinking the wine.
This conveys a message that women should not disobey men because they will
ultimately be punished, or in this case, wind up dead. It was a very prevalent idea in
Elizabethan England that a woman should follow her husband s orders and this scene
strengthens that ideal. According to the play Hamlet, women should be submissive
and men should be
22. Compare And Contrast Beowulf And Once And Future King
For leaders, being a hero for their people can help in various ways. In the tales of both
Beowulf, translated by Burton Raffel, and Once and Future King, written by T.H.
White, both works contain main characters that become heroes through their actions.
Their values and traits, such as those of leadership, humility, and respect, contribute to
the making of their heroic nature. However, a herois not without their own set of
flaws. Beowulf and Wart, King Arthurin his youth, differ in their acceptance of their
duty. Nonetheless, this adds more to their character and makes them more personable
being. Beowulf and King Arthur
A common trait among heroes, is that of respect. Respect enables one to both trust,
and even to the extent of admiration towards an object or being. This is seen by
Arthur within The Once and Future King by his admirtaion in Merlyn the warlock.
Arthur respects him as a teacher, as Merlyn guides him throughout his journey, he
respects his mentor all the greater. Similarly, the idea of respect is also portrayed in
Beowulf. Beowulf is both given and demonstrates reverence throughout the epic. An
example of this respect is shown in the following text; And tell it quickly, the quicker
the better,
I say, for us all. Speak, say
Exactly who you are, and from where, and why.

In doing so, it gives Kudler a greater control and allows them to reduce their overall
costs and uncertainty.
Tactics to implement the strategy
Kudler needs to find a way to know the business of its supplier or its distributors,
so as to reduce cost and the uncertainty that comes with doing business with them.
In doing so, they stand a better of surviving at long run in the market they intend to
dominate one stop shop. Kudler need to employ the porter s model so as to be
competitive. Kudler needs to analyze the threat of new competitors, the bargaining
power of suppliers, the bargaining of its customers, threat of substitute product or
services and rivalry among existing firms in the industry (Turban 2003). From the
products they offer, they have incorporated the bargaining power of customers into
consideration and providing substitutes in the same product line. The business level
strategy should be a mix of cost leadership strategy with differentiation strategy built
in. In doing so, they are positioned to always increase their earnings. In cost
leadership, it requires firm to carry out its activities more efficiently than
competitors, passing some of the cost savings to consumers in the form of lower
prices (Gomez Mejia 2002). A differentiation strategy requires a firm to continuously
invest in the creation of new products or add new features to existing products so that
customers believe the products differ from those of

Between 2004 and 2006, the Federal Reserve Board raised interest rates from 1%

continued to grow. Why did the bubble continue to grow when typically interest

lending practices before and after the bubble. Prior to the bubble standard typically
included, documentation of credit histories of prospective borrowers, their current
income and assets, evidence of job stability and pay, and related factors that in theory
help a lender assess a potential borrower s ability to pay for a mortgage. During the
2000 s lending practices eased with the government continuing to push their policy on
continuing to grow homeownership numbers. To continue homeownership lenders
developed new innovative loans such as, piggy back loans (80/20), adjustable rate

allowed consumers to purchase a home without having to put down a down payment,

Machine learning and deep neural networks are quickly finding themselves in
everyday consumer products and services, and even enterprise applications. Some of
their uses range from facial recognition in photo albums to object recognition in self
driving cars. Although classifying people in a photo album poses no real safety
concerns, an inaccurate classifier in a self driving car can have disastrous effects. As

In the following paragraphs, we will take a closer look at, how deep neural
networks are implemented, explain how adversarial attacks work and look into a
possible way to defend against them. Additionally, we will analyze if these attacks are
of any concern outside of research environments where an attacker might have more
access to the targeted architecture than they may have in the real world.
Analyzing Deep Neural Network Implementations
To identify weaknesses in DNN (Deep Neural Networks), we must first analyze how
they are implemented. Papernot et al. do a good job of explaining the architecture of
DNNs before explaining their proposal to defend against adversarial attacks using a
method called distillation. Deep neural networks compose many parametric functions
to build increasingly complex representations of a high dimensional input expressed
in terms of previous simpler representations . In layman terms, that means that there
are multiple levels of neurons that take the output from the previous layer as input.
Each of these neurons performs some sort of computation on the input. Depending on
what coefficient and weight the particular node holds, the output is either dampened
or amplified and then passed through an activation layer to determine if it continues
further through the network. Putting many of these neurons together can form
complex architectures that can be used to classify complex inputs of data.

Psychological Effects of Premature Mortality
Birth and death are the two primal points of life, one signaling the beginning and the
other signaling the end of life. While birth is celebrated amongst all cultures
worldwide, death is met with resistance and fear. The fear of mortality has led to an
obsession with death and a reverence for all things that are immortal. Indeed, most
supernatural creatures across different cultures in the world are first credited as
being immortal. In the nineteenth century, the fear of burial had a deep root in
western culture. During this time, there were hundreds of cases that were reported of
people who were pronounced dead mistakenly. The coffins at that time had

In another one of his momentous writings, he revisits the theme in a symbolic and

House of Usher. The readers can follow the experiences of another unnamed
narrator as he visits his childhood friend who he had lost acquaintance with in the
previous years. Roderick, the friend in question, is ailing from the unspecified
malady, which has a deep effect on his mental faculties. During the visit, Roderick

Roderick says Long long long many minutes, many hours, many days, have I heard

speak! We have put her living in the tomb! (Poe and Perry 12). Roderick has a deep
fear that he will bury his sister alive, which seems to be a prophecy of the
forthcoming events. This is a probable explanation to Roderick s insistence on
burying Madeline in the premises of the house. He explains that he had a feeling
of his actions, but he dared not speak. Roderick says to the narrator. OH whither
shall I fly? Will she not be here anon? Is she not hurrying to upbraid me for my

32. Design Of Design And Technology
Design and Technology flourished out of hands on craft base subjects, with the
original focus on developing students physical skills. Practical lessons in craft based
subjects became firmly established in secondary schools in the UK in the 1960s
through to the 1970s. Design and Technology was first introduced into the school
curriculum in England and Wales in 1989. (Martin and Owen Jackson, 2013, Owen
Jackson, pg.65) Design and Technology originates from craft based traditions,
industrial and manufacturing practices and embracing new technologies. Design and
Technology is both a skill focused and knowledgefocused subject in that it is about
what they make and also what they learn. Design and Technology is a dynamic
endlessly changing subject with the skills and knowledge surrounding the subject
developing with time. Principles and concepts surrounding Design Technology must
remain relevant to the time in order for students to gain the most from the subject.
The National Curriculum was first introduced in 1988 with technology as a
compulsory subject for pupils aged 5 16. In 1995 it was revised and renamed
Design Technology which include Resistant Materials, Systems Control, Food and
Textiles. In 2007 Design Technology became compulsory for pupils in Key Stage 1
to 3, and KS4 and KS5 students had a choice as to whether they wanted to study it

songs America, the Beautiful and The Star Spangled Banner in regards of the
suitable national anthem. There is no doubt that controversy shrouds the beloved
national anthem, as issues of racism, slavery, and the militaristic tone arise after
each passing century. However, in my opinion, the national anthem should not be

depression, entitled Teetering on the Edge. Beck, (1993, p. 44) which describes
walking on a fine line between sanity and insanity . Beck determined a limited
amount of qualitative research available and few instruments for measurement of
postpartum depression, postpartum psychosis, and maternity blues . Beck
interviewed 12 women for 18 months detailed their experiences, and determined the
main perceived problem was a loss of control (Beck, 1993). Beck s theory is one that
is centered in phenomenology and produced a concise and testable theory (Marsh,
2013).
Loss of control is broken down into four stages: encountering terror, dying of self,
struggling to survive, and regaining control (Beck, 1993). Beck, 2002, has
developed two screening tools (Postpartum Depression Screening Scale and
Postpartum Depression Inventory System) to evaluate risk factors and symptoms.
Encountering terror is an initial response to feeling out of control, described as
being trapped with no means of escape (Beck, 1993). Stage II is highlighted by a
reported feeling of loss of former self and feeling internally void of caring or
emotion, likened to that of a robot (Beck,1993). Struggling to survive is recognized
by the inability to carry on activities of daily living, including eating and bathing.
This is the stage where many seek assistance and
41. Youth Violence Essay
Youth Violence
Youth violence is an escalating problem in American society today. There are many
different factors that can be blamed for this problem. During the last decade of the
twentieth century people began searching for answers to this dilemma which is
haunting America. Many tragic school shootings have taken place within the last
decade that have gained the attention of the public. As of now, no one can give the
right answer to the problem or the reason that it happens because there is no right
answer yet and nobody can be sure that they know the cause. All we have to go by
are the opinions of different people. The most popular cause of the problem of youth
violence is the media. In The Erosion of Empathy, Sissela ... Show more content on

This statement brings up another opinion, the opinion that children s behavior stems
from their parents or elders behaviors. A young male, who is brought up in a violent
household, is more likely to be violent outside of the home. This idea brings us back
to the saying monkey see, monkey do; what children see is what they will do. Among
our many solutions to youth violence is the idea that too many guns are not the
problem, but too few guns is the problem. The Colorado Legislature is currently
debating a bill to further enhance the state s conceal carry statute. Those backing the
measure say that a teacher or administrator with a concealed gun could have stopped,
or greatly minimized, the Littleton tragedy. (Lee 255) Lee says, Blaming guns for
such incidents...is ludicrous. His solution to our rising problem of youth violence is
not censoring the media, but is bringing more guns in the mainstream. This does not
mean children walking around school armed. It means putting more guns into the
right hands. At first glance this proposals sounds pretty good. When one puts some
thought into it, it somewhat changes their perspective on the issue. Does this solution
seem ethical; giving guns
42. Changing Fan Experiences
New technology is changing fans experiences at venues and stadiums all around the
nation like never before. Both the team s marketing department and venues are
working together and using different types of digital innovations to enhance and
improve the on field player performance, fan experiences, and stadiumoperations.
Creating fan experiences and putting them in the center of the action is becoming top
priority and is a major catalyst for bringing fans back. Live sporting events are not
just about solely watching the gameanymore; Fans are now expecting access to
physical and digital experiences tailored to their phone, kiosks, jumbotrons, and
pretty much anywhere throughout the stadium. Fans enjoy being able to share,
interact, and stay... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the transition between the top and bottom of the innings the video board
would either display pre recorded videos of plays during previous seasons or
would capture current live feed from the stands. Any time the camera was used to
capture the crowd a promotion would be happening on the screen, switching the
content back and fourth. This time would require fans to get up and get loud to
receive a prize. Music was always associated while the video board was being used
and it was interesting on the genre of music they decided to play over the speakers.
Baseball is filled with music being played as a hitter walks to the plate or a closer
comes out of the bullpen...They have nothing to do with the game beyond the
intent to pump up the players and, perhaps, the fans (Caple, 2013). The choice of
music that was being used to increase the fan enthusiasm through out the game was
old rock; songs included: Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith, Heartland by U2, Born in
the USA by Bruce Springsteen. The music chose is vital to the audience, it can stir
memories of past games and produce an intense feeling of pride for the current game
no matter how bad your team is playing, you will at least sing along, stomp your foot
or fist pump. The

There will be times were the kids were getting restless or acted uninterested in the
class and Mrs. Manner will call them by their names and tell them to pay attention, if
the behavior was repeated she will say something along the lines of ; Mr., this is the
second time, I had to call your attention, and that usually made them stop and listen.
When communicating nonverbally, she will open her eyes wide to show
appreciation for answering in a correct manner or will narrow her eyes to tell children
to control themselves.
Afterwards, the children who stayed in the rug will trace the letter assigned and
make a picture about it with Mrs. Manner. Yet the children in the round table with
me, will be read a story and I was suppose to ask them questions about the story and
sometimes we had to sing songs accordingly. Subsequently, my group will later
switch to the floor and I will repeat the same lesson to the kids who were earlier in
the rug. Sometimes the whole group will be overly excited and Mrs. Manner will
say Macaroni and Cheese to which the whole group will answer; Everybody Freeze.
This usually refocused the student s attention to the class. Some children will always
participate and give accurate answers, while other students try persistently to disrupt
the class.
Moreover, some kids will raise their hands and then give you a personal account of
their vacation or something completely unrelated to the class. Mrs. Manner taught me
how to refocus the attention by

46. Behavior Patterns Of Wolf Behavior
By: Lara Drum The behavior of wolves can vary greatly, different seasons can
mean different behavior patterns. When the wolf of one pack enters the territory of
another wolf pack the behaviors can be very aggressive. Wolves live in family units
called packs, they are very social animals and usually do not do well individually. The
packis usually made up of the alpha or the leader of the pack. The alpha is usually
both a male and female in the group that are a breeding pair. The pack is usually
comprised of the offspring of the alphas pair from the several years of pups. The
leaders of the pack are the bosses and determine when the pack will hunt, sleep,
travel, or even play. The alphas almost always east first. (Wolf Ecology and Behavior,

Wolves are carnivores, meaning they eat only meat. Wolves prey on ungulates,
these are large hoofed animals such as deer and moose. This is their favorite meals,
but they have been known to hunt and eat beaver, rabbits, and small mammals.
Wolves that do not live in Minnesota like to eat caribou, elk, mountain goats, big
horn sheep, and even buffalo. The fact that wolves eat these animals and helps to
control the population of these prey animals. This helps the prey populations to not
get disease and spread them. Wolves hunt in the pack, this means they all work
together to take down an animal or two. They often segregate the chosen prey and
will circle around it. The alphas almost always eat first, then usually the pups and
other members of the pack. Wolves need to eat around 3 7 pounds of meat a day,
this equals about 15 20 adult deer a year. But wolves do not eat every day they may
go many days without eating and then eat large amounts to sustain them to the next
meal. (Hunting and feeding Behavior,
48. Descriptive Essay On William Faulkner
There are many writers throughout history that have written great and
consequential stories, pieces or poems, but I must say that William Faulkner is one
of my favorites. William Faulkner was a Nobel Prize winning novelist of the
American South who wrote pieces like A Rose for Emily , and Dry September . As
we journey together through my persuasive essay, I will explain to the readers why
William Faulkneris an exceptional author. A writer from southern America, born in
the small town of New Albany, Mississippi on September 25th, 1897. Throughout
the early years of his life, Faulkner worked as a financier, politician, soldier, farmer,
businessman, lawyer and in the finer years of his life a best selling author. In his
teenage years, Faulkner spent his time drawing, reading, and writing poetry, so
much though that by age 12 he premeditatedly began imitating Scottish Romanics
particularly Robert Burns and English Romantics A. E. Housman and A. C.
Swinburne. Regardless of his great intelligence, and his enjoyment of reading and
writing, school bored him and he never earned a High School Diploma. In 1919,
Faulkner enrolled in the University of Mississippi and also wrote in the student
newspaper. This is where he submitted his first published poem and other short
pieces. Just like his school years, he also stopped attending the University, and
eventually dropped out after only three semesters. He worked as a book seller s
assistant, a postmaster for the University and spent
49. August Wilson Literary Devices
Fences by August Wilson is a play about the average life of a Black American. The
setting is in the 1950 s in Pittsburgh. The name of the main character is Troy and the
Symbolism was the fence that was built for Rose. There are many social contexts
within Fences, which include Racism, Poverty, Segregation, Segregation in athletics,
Adultery, Illegal gambling, and Church. The historical contexts of this play include
Jim Crow Laws and Discrimination. There are many themes in Fences that stand out,
but I believe that the theme of inheriting history stands out the most. The conflict was
when Alberta died giving birth. The rising action was when Troy was secretly
cheating on Alberta. The climax in the story was when Rose told Troy that Alberta had

One of the strongest quotes, in my opinion, is spoken by Rose. I wanted a house I
could sing in. And that s what your daddy gave me. I didn t know to keep up his
strength, I had to give up pieces of mine. I did that. (98). This excerpt is from Fences
by August Wilson. The speaker of this quote is Rose. The audience is Cory and the
reader. The occasion was Troy s funeral. The purpose of her saying this was she
was explaining to Cory that her and Troy didn t have the best relationship, but his
life still deserves to be honored and his funeral should be attended by his son. Rose
is very smart for not allowing Cory to skip out on Troy s funeral. Cory probably
would ve regretted neglecting his father s funeral. So I commend Rose for
convincing Cory to attend Troy s funeral. Rose is a very responsible woman and a
great role model. In conclusion, Troy almost broke this family apart, but Rose always
had enough strength to hold it together, even in a
50. The Behavioral Impact of Drinking and Driving Laws by...
A few years ago, my family and I had a drunk driver crash through our front yard.
This person tore up grass, destroyed pine tree, and broke numerous lawn ornaments.
Less than twenty minutes before this drunk driver went through our yard, my
mom and I had been walking our dogs, and if the drunk driver had gone through
any earlier, my mom and I both would have been hit. This driver also destroyed a
garbage barrel, and almost slammed into an electrical pole. In a way, the drunk
driver had been lucky when he went through our yard, especially when we had just
taken a gigantic walnut tree out of our yard two or three years prior. The driver also
had two passengers with him, a woman, and a small child. The child passenger had

545). Bertelli and Richardson (2008) also suggest that most policies targeted
towards deterrence may not work, especially if a driver shows a higher inclination
for drinking and driving (Bertelli Richardson, 2008, p. 549). After reading this
information, I realized that my mom and I had either gotten extremely lucky, or
we had a guardian angel that night, especially when I think about how close the
driver had come to hitting the electrical pole. Furthermore, I am glad that no
people were actually hurt that night, especially since this driver had two
passengers, and was driving recklessly while drunk. If my mom and I had been
outside when the drunk driver went through our yard, we might not have been hit
by his car, but could still have been hit by pieces of lawn ornaments that were
strewn all across our yard. The article Validity of surrogate measures of alcohol
involvement when applied to nonfatal crashes says that most times if property
damage results when a person drives drunk, the driver s blood alcohol concentration
is rarely, if ever, tested (Voas, Romano, Peck, 2009, p.522). I found this information
fairly interesting, especially when my family eventually found out that the driver s
blood alcohol concentration was well over the limit, and he probably should have
been hospitalized after crashing through our yard as well as taking out numerous
mail boxes down the road from our house. The article The
