Virtualization is a hot topic today and for good reason. Using virtualization technologies organizations can reduce costs while increasing service provision and technical capabilities. Hyper-V, Microsoft’s latest offering in the virtualization market, presents a whole new virtual machine technology in the Microsoft product line. Comparable to VMware’s ESX server solution, Hyper-V comes out-of-the-box with Windows 2008 Server systems and can integrate with other Microsoft management tools such as System Center and group policies.
In this webinar, we will introduce you to the features and benefits of Hyper-V and you will gain important knowledge including:
· Hardware requirements of Hyper-V
· Benefits of Hyper-V over Virtual Server 2005
· Management options for large-scale implementations
· Deployment planning
· Keys to performance within virtual machines

The virtualization market is abuzz with talk of different hypervisors – most prominently VMware ESX® versus Microsoft Hyper-V®, who together own over 90% of the market. Small and medium businesses are already moving quickly toward Hyper-V, and a growing number of larger organizations are beginning to put plans in place to transition some portion of their environment from ESX to Hyper-V.
In this webcast we explore the reasons for these changes and the ecosystems for these two platforms both now and in the future. We also take a look ahead to what is known about Hyper-V 3.0 and why it warrants an even deeper look when evaluating hypervisors for your future virtualization deployments.

How to Optimize Microsoft Hyper-V Failover Cluster and Double PerformanceStarWind Software
High availability in a virtualized workload may require to sacrifice failover cluster performance. Using an optimized for virtualization approach on data storage and virtual machines placement and protection will give you desired boost of performance.
The presentation shows how to:
- Achieve true Hyper-V cluster high availability with just 2 Hyper-V hosts and zero storage hardware
- Boost Hyper-V cluster performance by configuring automatic dynamic optimization
- Effectively track VMs resources usage
- Save an extra 30% of Hyper-V cluster resources by utilizing agentless antivirus

Virtualization, briefly, is the separation of resources or requests for a service from the underlying physical delivery of that service. It is a concept in which access to a single underlying piece of hardware is coordinated so that multiple guest operating systems can share a single piece of hardware, with no guest operating system being aware that it is actually sharing anything at all.
Hyper v® 2012 vs v sphere™ 5.1 understanding the differencesSolarWinds
With Hyper-V 2012, Microsoft® has closed many of the gaps it previously had with VMware®, and this webcast will walk through a comparison of the scalability and features of both hypervisors:

How to Plan for a Lync Deployment on a Global ScalePerficient, Inc.
Preparing to implement Lync Server 2013 sounds like a simple task in context. However, when it comes to planning for a global Lync deployment, there is a lot more to take into consideration to get your core Lync Server 2013 infrastructure ready to support voice, video and content sharing capabilities.
Perficient’s Microsoft Certified Masters Jason Sloan and Keenan Crockett discussed how to get “Lync Ready” in our webinar based on the popular white paper “The CIO’s Guide to a Lync Server 2013 Global Deployment."
Topics included high-level server and pool design and placement, importance of the edge servers, the hardware vs. virtualized debate, and ultimately a high-level understanding of the impact Lync has on your network.

ARC's Bob Mick Presentation on Using Server Virtualization In Manufacturing O...ARC Advisory Group
ARC's Bob Mick Presentation on Using Server Virtualization In Manufacturing Operations @ ARC Industry Forum 2009 in Orlando, FL.
The Situation
Virtualization is not New. Why Now for Operations?
Proven Value
• Corporate IT experiences the value
• New capabilities enable a broader group of candidate applications
• Pilots in Manufacturing Operations have demonstrated value
Proven Products
• VMware – Very mature products
• Microsoft – Technology important to Operations
• Many other products and partnerships
Why not use Virtualization in Operations?
• Install a new set of servers with each new application?
• Legacy software value - Run legacy software on new hardware
• Replacement computers are many times faster – waste?
• Better management, Backup, Back-out, Reliability …
“Virtualization” Can Mean more than Virtual Servers
… Storage, Grid, Assets …
Virtualization products partition physical servers in multiple virtual machines. Each virtual machine represents a complete system, with processors, memory, networking, storage and BIOS.
Multiple virtual machines can share physical resources and run side by side on the same server.
Operating systems and applications can run unmodified in virtual machines.
Virtualization began in the 1960s, as a method of logically dividing the system resources provided by mainframe computers between different applications. Since then, the meaning of the term has broadened. <a>
In business it is all about measurement. If something can’t be measured it is deemed unimportant or relegated to “cost” status. Anything put in the “cost” bucket has no chance to grow or prosper, especially in the current economic climate. For the Business Analyst position to grow in respect and requirement within a business, measurement tools must be established.
Currently, there are no generally accepted standards for measuring the success for failure of a BA. In this web seminar we will discuss what measurement tools could be established and what tools organizations are currently using “out in the wild” to measure their BA performance. The goal is to give you a concert idea on how to start developing a BA measurement solution to validate you or your team’s success and worth. The ultimate goal is to push the IIBA to drive the development of generally accepted measuring tools for the BA position.
You will learn:
·Reasons why measurement in business is important
·Why it is critical the BA role doesn’t get lumped into the “cost” bucket
·Potential tools for measuring BA performance
·Options that other organizations are currently using in the wild
·Ideas on how to start implementing a measurement solution
·Importance of IIBA support in driving measurement standards

By utilizing SharePoint along with other business tools such as the Microsoft Office suite of applications, oraganization can create a customized Project Management Information System (PMIS) to assist with the daily management of enterprise projects.
With this webinar we would like to discuss the many benefits of using SharePoint Server as a Project Management Information system, including:
· Using SharePoint to manage project data
· Consolidating project data using SharePoint libraries
· Reporting on project data using SharePoint’s business intelligence
· Automating project tasks with SharePoint workflows
· Options to extending SharePoint’s project managemenet capabilities
