This document proposes IDSaaS (Intrusion Detection System as a Service), which allows cloud users to monitor and protect their own data in the cloud. IDSaaS uses open source tools like Snort for intrusion detection and Barnyard2 to process outputs. It has components like an intrusion engine, output processor, event database, alert manager, and rule-set manager. The document describes setting up IDSaaS on a virtual private cloud with public and private subnets to detect attacks on business applications like Joomla and ProFTPd. It proposes experiments to measure the overhead of IDSaaS components and detection rules to show the efficiency of IDSaaS.

In the VMDC reference architecture, physical and virtual infrastructure components such as networks (routers and switches), network-based services (firewalls and load balancers) - and computing and storage resources are shared among multiple tenants, creating shared multi-tenant environments.
Security is especially important in these environments because sharing physical and virtual resources increases the risk of tenants negatively impacting other tenants. Cloud deployment models must include critical regulatory compliance such as Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
The VMDC Cloud Security 1.0 solution enables customers to:
• Detect, analyze, and stop advanced malware and advanced persistent threats across the attack continuum.
• Consistently enforce policies across networks and accelerate threat detection and response.
• Access global intelligence using the right context to make informed decisions and take fast,
appropriate action.
• Comply with security requirements for regulatory requisites such as FISMA, HIPAA, and PCI.
• Support secure access controls to prevent business losses.
• Secure data center services using application and content security.

RITA SECURE COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL: APPLICATION TO SCADAcsandit
Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems have their own constrains and specifications. These systems control many of our critical industrial infrastructures, yet they are hardly secured. The biggest problem in securing these systems is the lack of cryptography support especially that most SCADA systems work in real-time which is not compatible with most cryptography algorithms. Additionally, a SCADA network may include a huge amount of embedded devices with little computational powers which adds to the cost of any security improvement. In this paper we present a new approach that would secure SCADA communications by coding information without the need of the complex cryptography algorithms. The reconfigurable information transmitter agent (RITA) protocol that we present does not need the already installed devices to be modified nor replaced, it only needs to add costless electrical chips to these devices. This approach can also be used to secure any type of communication that respects the protocol's constraints.

In 2017, 73% of people enterprises are using windows operating system. So the application will easily install for all the windows operating system users. The application-developed size is very low. It contains various customized modules for effectively maintaining automobiles and stock information accurately and safely.
When the automobile is sold to the customer, stock will be reduced automatically. When a new purchase is made, stock will be increased automatically. While selecting automobiles for sale, the proposed software will automatically check for total number of available stock of that particular item, if the total stock of that particular item is less than 5, software will notify the user to purchase the particular item.
Also when the user tries to sale items which are not in stock, the system will prompt the user that the stock is not enough. Customers of this system can search for a automobile; can purchase a automobile easily by selecting fast. On the other hand the stock of automobiles can be maintained perfectly by the automobile shop manager overcoming the drawbacks of existing system.

CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
