Popular Culture s effect on Sports role models
Think About My Generation... Baby!
Sports have such an enormous part of people s lives and they influence us in various ways. People
not only participate in sports, but they discuss, follow, write, and even fantasize about them daily.
Particularly through the eyes of young children, who often view professional athletes as role
models, and look up to them. Popular culture is a part of everyone s lives today, and it affects sports
through a plethora of positive and negative ways. Popular culture makes certain athletes look very
humbling, but then sometimes it could make an athlete look like a complete fool. Many young
boys who enjoy sports usually have dreams of playing professionally one day. Therefore these
athlete role models have such a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Professional athletes such as former New England Patriots star tight end Aaron Hernandez got
into a very substantial amount of trouble. Hernandez was involved in murder, a very serious
crime, and it now has him stuck in jail. He was released by the New England Patriots, and now
is viewed as a horrific man. Michael Vick took part in dog fighting earlier in his career and was
sent to prison for almost two years. Even though he is back in the NFL now, he will never be able
to get rid of the past, and it will always haunt him. Both of these athletes committed very immoral
crimes, obviously Hernandez s being more serious, but regardless they will always have to live
with this. Children who admire these two athletes, and don t know any better are faced with the
issue of trying to understand why they stopped playing. Therefore, athletes sometimes leave very
damaging images on kids who admire them, and popular culture does not help when the news
constantly reports on these guys.
Even though there are a bunch of professional athletes who are appalling role models on kids,
there are a lot more who through pop culture leave excellent impressions on children. Pros such as
Derek Jeter, Tim Tebow, and Eli Manning are prime examples of an excellent role model. All
three of these guys give it their all, each one of them never gets in any trouble, and they are always

The Role of French Architecture in French Culture
French architectures plays an important role in its culture. The Arena of NГ®mes is a Gallo

remodeled in 1863 to serve as a bullring. Nowadays, bullfights are banned due to its cruelness.
Notre Dame de Paris is a Gothic style Catholic cathedral in Paris. It is widely considered to be one
of the finest examples of French Gothic architectureand among the largest and most well known
church buildings in the world. The Palace of Versailles is a baroque style royal ChГўteau.
Versailles is famous not only as a building, but as a symbol of the system of absolute monarchy of
the Ancien RГ©gime. The LouvrePalace is a former royal palace located in Paris. The present day
Louvre Palace is a vast complex of wings and pavilions on four main levels which is the result of
many phases of building, modification, destruction and restoration. As a result, it has a mixed
style of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Neo Classicism and modernism. French architectures is
the witness of its long history. French paintings is often closely related to history. Liberty

Health Education Controversy
One issue that is currently causing a big debate in my school district is health education. Just this
year, the school district has approved that sex education must be taught in all schools and is not
optional. Many parents thought they would be able to decline the sex education classes; however,
the classes were included in the curriculum of health education. As a result, every student must take
all of the sex education classes because they are listed within the health education curriculum. In
addition, the school board has also voted and approved that students 7th grade and above will also
be educated on gender identity and transgender issues (Shapiro, 2015). This particular topic or
debate has been going on for the past couple of years.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Youtube
If a certain individual were to interrogate a select person about what they do during their free time,
their answer would probably be something between the lines of using the internet and anything else
related to it, because let s face it, our race has evolved into a technology dependent specie. The rise
of the internet has given way to more opportunities especially in the entertainment category which
resulted in more people turning to the internet and away from TV and movies. According to the
2011 Edelman Value, Engagement and Trust in the Era of Social Entertainment Survey, 56% of
U.S. citizens agreed that they frequently accessed the internet more than several years ago and 49%
use it just for the purpose of passing time. Not only are their interests shifting from traditional forms
of entertainment to digital media, but 68% claim that entertainment quality has spiraled down and
doesn t appease their enjoyment as much anymore (Smith, 2011).

Informative Speech About Working With Groups
Informative Speech
Title: Reflection paper.
Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about the beneficial things of working with a group.
Central Idea: A group work is the ability to work with other members.
Introduction
Attention: Do you think you re qualified for a particular job, fit to lead a team, or entitled to a
promotion because you have extensive experience and highly developed technical skills? Well, it
turns out that while those things are crucial to your professional success, it s imperative that you
also have great soft skills more commonly known as people skills.
Topic: I m going to talk about the benefits of working with a group.
Credibility: Having seen what you can get from working with a group, I m capable of telling you
guys about the benefits.

Working successfully with others requires practical as well as personal skills. One of the main
advantages of working with others is that you can benefit from the skills of others that you may
not have yourself and share your own skills, and discovering your talents. For example, Sierra has
lots of good ideas and is good at putting them together. Sam is talkative and good at gathering
ideas. Jacob is a good listener and able to summarize at the end of a meeting.
Transition:
Now that you know a little about being able to work together,
let s look at coming up with better thoughts than an individual will come up with.
II. Students can see how different perspectives, constructive deliberation, questioning, and critical
analysis can result in better solutions and performance. If students take an exam individually and
then do the same exam as a group, the group exam score is almost always higher because students
share what they know, debate the answers, and through that process can often find their way to the
right answer.

Characters In Finding Nemo
There are hundreds of fictional characters that have identical personalities as regular people. The
three fictional characters that most represent my personality are Dory from the movie Finding
Nemo for her free spirit and kind hearted nature, Vanellope from the Disney movie Wreck it Ralph
for her shyness, and determination, and Timon from the Disney movie The Lion King for his loveof
music, silliness, and his caring for others. Dory who is a blue flounder, and I have the same traits
of being free spirited and kind hearted. Dory has a free spirit as she never doubts herself, she has a
positive attitude during the whole time in the adventure that she has with Marlin as they both are

Empathy Is Extremely Important For Children
Empathy is extraordinarily important for children to understand and eventually put into practice,
as it exercises their ability to feel and respect the emotions of other people. Empathy also plays a
big role in trust and support both of which are very important aspects of any relationship, and is
necessary for living a healthy, functional life in today s society. In her article, Dovey describes A
2011 study published in the Annual Review of Psychology [...] showed that, when people read
about an experience, they display stimulation within the same neurological regions as when they go
through that experience themselves. (Dovey par. 11). This means that when people, or in this case,
children, read stories, their brains react as if they were going through the same situations and
emotions that they read about. This is a great way for kids to learn about empathy, why it s
important, and how to apply it to their own lives. One may argue that, while readingmay trigger
empathetic feelings in the majority of people, those who enjoy readinghave greater empathetic
tendencies than others, making reading to teach empathy only applicable to those who like to read
and have these higher than average tendencies. Dovey also addresses this, stating that other studies
published in 2006 and 2009 showed [...] that people who read a lot of fiction [tended] to be better at
empathizing with others (even after the researchers had accounted for the potential bias that people

Seepage Control in Earthen Dams
Most dams in active use today exhibit seepage of one form or another. The location, rate of flow,
and turbidity (clear or murky) are the critical factors when evaluating the seriousness of seepage
from a dam. Seepage is the continuous movement of water from the upstream face of the dam
toward its downstream face, and is a major minor problem when it comes to the life span of dams
and embankments. It is a major minor problem because if controlled the affects are minor and not
hazardous, but if not controlled it can become a major problem and possibly result in failures.
Conditions of Seepage Most dams have some seepage through or around the embankment as a
result of water moving through the soil structure. If the seepage forces are ... Show more content on

Most failures caused by groundwater and seepage can be classified into one of two categories
based on the type of soil movement that is occurring. The failures will typically develop over a
relatively long period of time so there will be ample warning if routine inspections are performed.
The two categories of failure include those that take place when soil particles migrate to an escape
exit and cause piping or erosion failures, and those that are caused by uncontrolled seepage patterns
that lead to saturation, internal flooding, excessive uplift, or excessive seepage forces.
Controlling Seepage Regularly scheduled monitoring and inspection is essential to detect seepage
and prevent dam failure. Inspections should be made periodically throughout the year.
Frequency should be based on hazard classification of the dam. Higher classified dams should be
checked more common, compared to those that are lower hazard classified. At a minimum all
dams should be visually inspected at least every six months, before a predicted major storm
event, during or after severe rainstorms or snowmelts, and inspected weekly after construction is
complete and reservoir filling is ongoing, and for at least two months after the reservoir has been
filled. Dam inspections performed on a regular basis are the most economical aid a dam owner
can use to assure the safety and long life of the structure while reducing liability risks. If seepage
is detected on a

Mary Todd Mary Todd Summary
The main idea of the book was love. It was a love that lasted through all the hardships,
controversies, and death. Mary Todd, a Kentuckian from a wealthy family with an interest in
politics caught the eye of a young lawyer named Abraham Lincoln. Even during the war, where her
family was confederates and they were dying, both Abraham and Mary knew that they were doing
the right thing in preserving the Union. After Abraham Lincolndied, she blamed herself and became
mental unstable and eventually died. Her whole life was full of both love and despair.
They first met at a dance in Springfield, Illinois in 1839; Mary Todd was from Kentucky and was
older and wiser than most of the other girls at the dance. The older men liked to talk to her and ...

Lincoln didn t care because love meant everything to her and family always came first. Tad was
her most favorite out of the four boys; she said that his death hurt her more than her husband s
death. Both Edward and Willie died early and her heart turned cold on Robert because he had

How Does Heart Of Darkness Affect Joseph Conrad s...
Upon first glance, Joseph Conrad s novella Heart of Darkness appears to tell the tale of a riveting
adventure which tackles issues such as imperialism, race, and corruption. Charles Marlow, a British
man, is part of the ivory trading industry in the heart of Africa. Naturally, one would point to the
colonization and its implications in their analysis of this work. I argue, however, that beyond the
standard topics as previously mentioned lie insight into Conrad s perception of gender and women.
Furthermore, both the male and female characters in Heart of Darknessreveal the gender biases and
societal sexism held by Joseph Conrad. In order to accomplish this, I will explore three ways in
which Heart of Darkness excludes the female experience,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In the same way that the African perspective is silenced and disregarded, British women are also
overlooked as nonsensical and morally corrupt. Through the imperialistic ventures, Kurtz robs
the Africans of their voice and autonomy. Similarly, the British women are denied voices, agency,
and even names. We are only given Marlow s bias and unfair assessment of women. The parallel
between imperialism and women in Heart of Darkness is highlighted by Martine Hennard
Dutheil De la RochГЁre in her work Heart of Darkness as a Modernist Anti Fairy Tale. She writes
Heart of Darkness can thus be read as a deeply ambivalent reflection on the collaboration between
imperial and patriarchal structures: it represents colonial exploitation as inseparable from the
feminine and yet justifies the exclusion of women in the name of a feminine ideal that Marlow
attempts to preserve (De la Rochere, 8). In order to perpetuate his patriarchal idealism of women, he
cages them and prevents any substantial female representation. Women in Heart of Darkness are
nothing more than slaves to their male counterpart s patriarchal efforts in the same way that the
African population is regarded as no more than an object in an economic

The Cask Of Amontillado Quote Analysis
Revenge is the action of inflicting hurt or harm on someone for an injury or wrong suffered at
their hands. The short story, The Cask of Amontillado, by Edgar Allen Poe tells a tale of a man
who let his need for revenge consume him. The central idea of the story is revenge. The author s
use of characterization helps us to develop the central idea and allows us to see the change in the
characters as the revenge takes place. The first quote in the story helps the reader to get a basic
understanding on what kind of man Montsuar is. The thousand injuries of Fortunato I had borne the
best I could, but when he ventured upon insult I vowed revenge, this quote from the story shows
the reader that injuries don t bother Montsuar, but insults do. This

Challenger Disaster Essay
Before the Challenger disaster NASA was a company that once was never prepared to handle
disaster. NASA experienced it s first disaster in October of 1968 known as the Apollo. When the
Apollo occurred NASA wasn t prepared and failed at protecting it s company and discussing the
publics concerns for the disaster. NASA at this time had no exact protocol on handling disasters
and acted on impulse which contributed to NASA losing their reputation. After the Apollo disaster
NASA made it best efforts to create direct protocols to follow when a disaster occurs that they

I argue this because NASA was not honest in all their disasters and tried to make coverups that

believes they have the right to know about crisis and companies are responsible for keeping them
informed so by NASA refusing to give instant and direct information about there crisis they felt
NASA neglected there right to know. NASA failing to let the public know about a crisis many
would argue they weren t being sensitive to how the crisis affected others besides them directly.
Today NASA would need to be more honest about the disaster that occurred and make instant
statement about what is happening to keep the public informed so the public can feel NASA is
considering how they feel. With the change in technology since 1986 NASA would be able to
discuss their crisis through media outlets such as Print,Film,Recording,Television,Radio, and most

The Importance Of Racial Diversity In High Schools
Literature Review
The racial climate at primarily white institutions has been widely publicized, especially as
discussions about political correctness in American society have increased. The University of
Louisville was criticized in 2015, when local news outlets publicized tensions present in the school
s honors dorm and the school s president, James Ramsey, faced backlash for donning a Mexican
garb for Halloween season festivities. The following literature review attempts to set a foundation
for the discussion of whether or not students are prepared to interact with students from racial
backgrounds different from their own, and whether or not students who have experienced
discrimination in college expected to when they chose the University of Louisville. High schools
have recently made news for decades of slow moving, but noticeable resegregation. Some
communities have succeeded in producing lasting integration, but others have been segregated by
race, and often, income as well, leading to decreased educational opportunity and achievement.
More important to this study is the result that this resegregation has had on the makeup of high
schools many schools lack ample opportunity for students to encounter classmates of different
backgrounds. Resegregation has diluted the diversity at high schools and left students unprepared
for the potential increase in diversity they will experience in college (Frankenberg). If minority
students are discriminated against, it s

Cornu Instrument Analysis
The instrument I chose was the Cornu. The reason why I chose this one was because I thought it
would be similar to the cornet, which is just a smaller version of the trumpet, and I know how to

keys. When I first heard it, I thought it sounded like a very bad french horn, but when it s played
by someone who actually knows how to play it very well it sounds like a brassy, harsh but clear,
horn sound. The cornu, which means horn in latin was used as a military instrument for the ancient

Theoretical Perspectives in the Film My Fair Lady

accordingly to the perspective they belong in. When I did these analyses the major thing that I

best for this movie because through this movie most of the people relied on personal interactions
with each other and not institutions. Synopsis My fair lady is movie about a flower girl named

police about to take her when really he was just another man. Sir, don t let im charge me. You
dunno what it means to me. They ll take away me character and drive me on the streets, for
speakin to gentlemen. Eliza stated. This sentence states very clearly that this was the begging of
one of the norms that Eliza went against. The norm was that a poor girl like Eliza is not
supposed to speak to a rich gentleman such as Pickering. Another bystander tells Eliza to leave
the man alone but she states, I never spoke to him except to ask him to buy a flow r off me.
Again here we can see that she is definitely breaking a norm. She spoke when she was not
allowed to speak, breaking a norm that the government had made so that these two societies
function. You mind your business and I will mind my own, is what the government implied
from the functionalist perspective. From a functionalists perspective these to societies would
not be able to function if they were too friendly. Another example of Eliza breaking a norm was
when she overheard Pickering s and Higgins conversation. Higgins stated Well, sir, in six
months, I could pass her off as a duchess at an Embassy ball. I could even get her a job as a lady s
maid or a shop assistant, which requires better English . At this moment Eliza wanted to make a

Intimate Partner Violence And Sexual Abuse Essay
Parents who perpetrate or suffer from intimate partner violence are more likely to be parents who
mistreat their own children. The explanation that links these two together is dissociation, which
allows parents who are abusers to remain distant from and minimize sympathy toward their victims.
Additionally, there is a higher rate of dissociation disorders among intimate partner violence
survivors and perpetrators. The objective of the study performed by Webermann, Brand, and
Chasson in 2004 was to see how prevalent intimate partner violence is among those who commit
childhood maltreatment. To gather this data, dissociative disorder clinicians reported on the rates
of childhood maltreatment and intimate partner violence from 275 patients and assessed the
associations between childhood maltreatment and partner violence. The results showed that there
was a correlation between the two factors and that physical abuse was associated with physical
spouse violence, while neglect was associated with emotional spouse violence (Webermann,
Brand, Chasson, 2014). Intimate partner violence (or IPV) encompasses physical, sexual,
psychological, or emotional harm from a partner. Approximately 25 percent of women and only
1.5 percent of men endure severe physical abuse, while 20 percent of women experience rape, the
number for men is still 1.5 percent. Additionally, 50 percent of both men and women experience
some kind of psychological aggression. This means that women are typically

The Causes And Consequences Of The Vocide Of Native Americans
Christopher Columbus was a man who led an expedition in which he discovered the lands of
America in the late 1400s. He and his fellow Europeans had traveled to different lands before where

two parties were of the same species, they were vastly different in language, clothing, technology,

them with a strong sense of condescension. The Indians, on the other hand, welcomed these
strangers and bestowed generous gifts upon them. The Spanish thought the Indians were foolish and
were not as generous in their reciprocation of such gifts. However as the encounterprogressed, the
Spaniards became more threatened by the Indians. Because of this, they antagonize the entire race
of people. They believe they are all evil and less human. They respond to their actions with great
violence and contempt, while stripping the Indians of their dignity. The Indians, in turn, react
defensively, also with violence (Todorov). After decades of conflict, the exchange ultimately
results in the complete genocide of the Indian population. In this particular encounter, there exists
two parties, both of the same species but with great differences. There is also one party, the
Spaniards, aware of the others existence and that actively pursued this encounter. The Indians,
however, were unaware that other societies and worlds existed beyond their own and were
sabotaged by the surprise arrival of the Europeans. The conquistadors had previous encounters
with other people different from their own. From these prior experiences, they had expectations to
come to America and use its resources and people to their own advantage. They had also already
established through previous endeavors, that groups and races of people different from their own
could not be seen as equals. They identify these groups as Others, that are inferior and less
intelligent (Todorov). This already creates a dilemma referred to as the double movement. If

Arthritis Case Studies
According to the case study, once after the woman was diagnosed as having the early rheumatoid
arthritis, she was treated with Ibuprofen and after six months, blood test was done for rheumatoid
arthritis and gave positive results. So, with those results, she is being treated with low dose
methotrexate. Joint destruction in rheumatoid arthritis begins within a few weeks of symptom
onset and early treatment decreases the rate of disease progression, therefore, it is vital to diagnose
the disease and initiate the treatment as soon as possible. The ACRSRA recommends that patients
with suspected rheumatoid arthritis be brought up within three months of presentation for
confirmation of diagnosis and initiation of treatment with disease modifying antirheumatic drugs
(DMARDs). Therapeutic goals include preservation of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In monozygotic twins, there is a more than 30 percent concordance rate for rheumatoid arthritis

Chinese New Year Is Really Just Around Teh Corner
Chinese New Year is really just around the corner. The Chinese will definitely be busy running
errands to make sure that the Chinese New Year celebration is well prepared. Some may choose to
start as early as a month before the celebration which also means the last month in the Lunar
Calendar. This way, they get to plan things they need to have for the celebration and slowly
distributing the tasks among the familymembers and then carry them out.
Since Chinese New Yearis the most important celebration among the Chinese, the celebration is

sound similar to the Western Thanksgiving dinner. Dishes that symbolize prosperity will be
prepared and it will all be fun if you manage to get everyone together to help.
Last but not least, prepare the red packets. It has been a tradition in Chinese New Year to give out
red packets. The amount of money inserted is not important but the meaning of the act is very
important. Red packet is known as lai see in Cantonese and it means lucky money. Usually the
adults will prepare the red packets and give it out to the children throughout the Chinese New Year
as a blessing.
That is about all the preparation that needed to be done before ushering the first day of the Lunar

Krakow Research Paper
Only a few miles from Poland s second largest cities, Krakow, lies a nearly barren field with only
a moderate sized memorial to the thousands of people killed in a brutal act of genocide. Here,
between 1941 and 1945, thousands of enemies of the Nazi party, primarily Jews, were worked,
starved, died of disease, or were shot. Out of the over 150,000 people sent through Plaszow and
its sub camps, only around 2,000 survived. From its establishment in 1941 to its liquidation in
January 1945, thousands of people lost their lives or were sent to their deaths in other camps. In
the years before the German occupation, the Jewish population of Krakow was usually around
70,000. After the Nazi conquest, the Jews were persecuted relentlessly. Between May and
December of 1941, 55,000 Krakow Jews were forced into the countryside, and between 15,000
and 20,000 remaining Jews were housed in the newly established Krakow Ghetto. In June of the
same year, the Krakow Plaszow Forced Labor camp was established in Plaszow, a suburb of

Security Threats Of Network Security
As the technology is growing the security threats are also increasing at higher rate. So, as to
protect an organization from such network security threats severe actions and several steps have
to be taken by network security administrators. In any large organization that is having large

administrator to secure its internal as well as external network from intruders because there are
several ways intruders can sniff the network and resulting in heavy loss of data. There are several
threats that can affect network security of an organization such as: Wireless Sniffing, DoS (Denial

Franklin Pierce
Franklin Pierce, one of eight children of Benjamin and Anna Kendrick Pierce, was born in
Hillsborough, N. H., on Nov. 23, 1804. His father had served in the American Revolution and
later became governor of New Hampshire. Pierce was educated at Hillsborough Center, Hancock
Academy, and Bowdoin College, from which he graduated in 1824 after advancing from last
place to fifth from the top of his class. In 1829, he was elected to the state legislature, two years
after his father won election to the governorship. Pierce was then chosen Speaker of the House in

With the President and his wife still in mourning when they moved to Washington, the White
House was a dark and gloomy place. Because of Jane Pierce s frail health, opposition to drinking,
and her depression over the loss of her child, social functions at the White House were almost
unheard of during the first half of the Pierce administration. In its later stages, she did manage
some appearances at events there, but she came to be known as The Shadow in the White
House. Franklin Pierce came to office during a period of growing tension between the North and
South. Pierce was behind one of the most crucial pieces of legislation in American history.
Although he did not author the Kansas Nebraska Act, he did encourage its passage by Congress.
And that piece of legislation set the nation on its path to civil war. Jane s disgust with the
political life in Washington must have been behind Pierce s decision to resign from the Senate in
1841. Subsequently, he served in the Mexican American War, and in something of a surprise was
elected President in 1852. Franklin Pierce s life following the presidency proved no happier than
his life during it. He spent most of the pre Civil War years in Europe, mulling his political
misfortunes. When the Civil War erupted, Pierce voiced support for the northern cause, which was
ironic in light of his earlier proslavery stance. But Pierce, a loyal Democrat, did not support the new
president, Abraham Lincoln. In fact, Pierce

The Influence Of Ethnic And Ethnic Culture
1: How did sports help create and maintain ethnic and racial identity in this period? Why do you
think this happened? Be sure to include Moses Fleetwood Walker as one of the individuals in your
discussion.
There was a great many ways in which sports helped to form and keep ethnic and racial identities
during the time frame. Some ethnic groups used their culture s sports, and the clubs they formed, in
order to resist assimilation into American culture thus keeping their own country s ethnic culture
intact. While some groups made the choice to maintain their ethnic culture rather than integrate it
with America s larger culture, others had no say in the matter. The group that comes to mind are the
African American people. Contrary to European clubs that tended to fight inclusion African
Americans wished to be integrated into the American culture but were denied due to systemic racism
spanning across the country. Even when they were allowed to participate in sports it wasn t for
long. Take Moses Fleetwood Walker for instance, he was one of the first African Americans to
play professional baseball because another team s player manager refused to play games with an
African American (Gems 145). One of the few real sports avenues left for African Americans was
the sport of boxing and even that was rife with racism. The only reason Africans were even allowed
to participate because white spectators enjoyed watching the brutalization of blacks (Gems 145).

Clarice Starling
When discussing feminist characters, it s easy to get caught up on the more overtly feminine
personalities, such as Elle Woods from Legally Blond or perhaps Dorothy Gale from The Wizard
of Oz . However, the 1991 film The Silence of the Lambs , an ...intense, gritty crime odyssey,
(Grow, 2016) supplies a strong, feminist character who isn t afraid to get down to business.
Throughout the film, Clarice Starling, played by Jodie Foster, silently breaks gender roles in order
to compete with the male authority that she faces all around her. From avoiding suggesting gazes
and unwanted sexual advances, to holding one s ground in a male workplace, Starling takes on a
role that is the constant recipient of the male scrutiny, impulse, and hostility. Clarice is placed into
a distinctly feminist role by the use of powerful cinematography, the actions of her male
counterparts and Clarice s own actions while in the face of ethical adversity. The story concerns
the young Clarice Starling, a promising FBI cadet at a training academy located in Quantico,
Virginia. Jack Crawford of the Bureau s Behavioral Science Unit assigns Starling to befriend the
notorious Hannibal Lecter, a former psychiatrist and imprisoned cannibalistic killer. Starling is
forced to cooperate with Dr. Lecter, as his insight proves useful in identifying Buffalo Bill ; the

В„XWhat should Silvio do about the order for non standard elevators?
To understand Silvio Napoli s strategy for selling standardized elevators in India, let us first take a

CultureEconomic
Sensitivity of Indian employees to organizational power and relationships
Different management styles of Indian managers ВЎV friendly and easygoing

To support this, the logistics, manufacturing and basic installation of the elevators was to be all
done in India. But, this meant that the original Swiss policies and procedures used at Schindler s
operations in Europe would need to be transferred over to their manufacturing in India. Based on
his research of the Indian market and its culture, Silvio was aware that it would not be an easy task
for their Indian manufacturing to learn and incorporate the procedures.
So, Silvio decided to minimize the learning curve burden for their manufacturing operations by
picking only two elevator configurations that Schindler India would build:
ВЎVModel S001 for low rise buildings ВЎV completely outsourced to local suppliers
ВЎVModel S003P for medium rise buildings ВЎV imported
He also decided that these elevators would be standardized and no customization would be allowed
for the Indian market. This was to keep complexity and costs low and to make Schindler an efficient
manufacturing operation.
However, there were several problems with this strategy:
ВЎVSchindler s corporate structure and management practices were misaligned to the Indian
subsidiary s objectives
ВЎVThe generic offerings S001 and S003P had thin profit margins and they did not fit well within
the business plan of offering customized sales and service

New Horizon will come within 3,500 miles of the objects. The New Horizon Mission brought a new
information on Pluto and the surrounding moons. Based on the crater count on Pluto s surface the
dwarf planet has been geologically active the past four billion years. In particular, a massive ice
plan large than Texas named Sputnik Planum shows signs of being geologically active within the
past ten million years. Also Pluto s surface is still puzzling to scientists as its composition is
unlike any of the other Jovian planets. The surface goes from Nitrogen based to methane based to
Oxygen based. In addition the atmospheric temperature is much colder than what scientists
believed, by about 70 degrees F. Also thanks to the New Horizons probe scientists now believe
they can theorize how Pluto s atmosphere haze layer formed. The process of its formation is based
on atmospheric buoyancy waves or gravity waves. This affected is caused by the winds blowing
over the mountainous surface of Pluto.

migrating to Los Angeles from Guatemala changed his parents and shaped his. Not only that,
but how iconic Che Guevara was to his family, even comparing him to god. He continued by
showing the similarities in Los Angeles and New York, how the Latino immigrants were

Describing the emptiness of the beach that day, and the fact that many people from all over

describing the tactics border patrol use to find the immigrants before they cross. Even including
interviews with people waiting to cross, some knowing the tactics of border patrol and others
clueless, following el coyote y el pollero. In addition, Tovar went undercover, pretending to be an
immigrant looking for work, and experienced first hand the process. Throughout the book, he

How Community Nursing Can Potentially Address Them
According to one recent study, more than 1.5 million people experience homelessness in the
United States every year (Doran, 2013, p. 355). Individuals of all ages and from all walks of life
face homelessness today. While already facing this one adversity, they also face inadequate health
care in a variety of ways. They face specific healthproblems in higher concentrations than other
populations, including mental health disorders and substance abuse (Harkness, 2012). Many also
face chronic health conditions such as diabetes or hypertension that go untreated (Harkness,
2012). In addition, access to health care is a barrier with which this population struggles. Healthy
People 2020 includes goals to improve access to comprehensive, quality health care services and
improve health related quality of life and well being for all individuals (2020 Topics and
Objectives, 2010). This paper reviews these goals in light of the homeless population and explores
how community nursing can potentially address them.
The goal to improve access to health care services is important in the homeless population. The
homeless often lack the ability to pay for health services. Many homeless remain uninsured or
underinsured (Parker, 2013). Without insurance, the homeless of the United States have little to no
access to preventative services (Parker, 2013). Instead, they rely on emergency departments for
treatment (Doran, 2013). This occurs for many reasons. First, it is one of the only places

The Impact Of National Football League And National...
Introduction In Baseball, statistics are in abundance. Unlike the National Football League and
the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball(MLB) does not have a salary cap.
This has caused a lot of randomness in salaries. The salaries of teams also varies quite a bit as
well. From the data I have used, in 2015, the Los Angeles Dodgers salary was almost five times
higher than the Miami Marlins. What would cause such a disparity? Being a Baltimore Orioles
fan and my father being a New York Yankee fan, we would argue statistics and I usually would
have a less than substantial argument for my beloved Orioles. My father would say 25,
implying the number of pennants the Yankees had. Given this was about eight years ago, I had
not taken a statistics class. I did, without research, argue that the Baltimore Orioles do more with
their salary. While thinking of a regression earlier this semester, I wanted to run a regression of
team wins on the city size. My theory was larger cities meant higher salaries and in turn more
wins because of the higher salaries. I ran the regression and found the results to be very
insignificant and had no basis of explaining the wins of a team. A recent outcome in Baseball,
blew my theory out of the water. The Kansas City Royals play in the third smallest market
according to metropolitan size.(1) The Royals are also 13th on a list of highest salaries in the
MLB.(3) The Royals won the 2015 World Series. There is a lot of randomness

The Need for an Embedded Processor
Chapter 1. INTRODUCTION 1.1. CURRENT SCENARIO
In current scenario, various sensors of plant is connected to the PLC for the data communication
and PLC is program such that it give controlling output according to the threshold value of sensors.
In this if the value of sensor is below or above the sensor value then it gives the respective output.
This output is nothing but the controlling output from the PLC which gives signal to controlling
device like value or alarm etc. Also SCADA provide the Graphical user interfaceto the PLC unit so
that any programmer can see the process graphically with the help of SCADA. In Plant SCADA
and PLC are connected to each other which make a whole system for Data communication and its
controlling. There are various types of PLC are available in the market. The selection of the PLC
can be done as per the requirement of number of input and output associated with the plant.

At the end of our lab session, we were assigned our first 10 page lab report for the term. Ten pages
on taking the temperature of boiling water!? How would we manage to get ten pages out of this
simple assignment? It turns out that ten pages was conservative. Our lab reports would follow the
scientific method: We d state our hypothesis and the assumptions we had before conducting the
experiment; we d list and describe the procedures followed, step by step, including a list of the
equipment and other materials used; we d discuss the collection of data and provide detailed
notes of the recordings; and finally, draw some conclusions about the findings. When all was said
and done, each of us turned in a ten or more page report that had opened our eyes to the importance
of replication of experiments, and to standardization in procedures and equipment to minimize
experimental error. Eight years later, as I was waxing nostalgic to a prospective honors student
sitting in my office, I recalled that boiling water experiment and

Importance Of Being At The Right Place
Being at the right time at the right place: How to benefit financially?
By some estimates, the total number of human beings that have ever lived is about 110 billion,
of which approximately 7% are alive today. The world population keeps growing every year, so,
statistically, you might say more humans have a chance of being at the right place at the right
time than at any given time before, right? Yes and, uh, no. Statistics and big numbers have a
powerful way of suggesting the wrong answer. Merely because more people play the lottery
certainly does not mean your chance to win increases; only the total amount the winner will take
away increases. That is of course unless we change the rules of the game itself. So, what does it ...

You might have heard of him. Andrew saw a huge opportunity while working for the railroads,
expanding tracks West and South from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rail tracks and bridges were
needed in great numbers all the way to the West Coast. A new, much more efficient process to make
a stronger iron had just been invented by Henry Bessemer in the United Kingdom and Andrew
Carnegie saw an enormous opportunity in making this new iron called steel from Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, close to the iron ore mines and rivers for easy transport. But, the most important
factor in deciding to start this business was a law adopted in 1870 supported by the Republican
Party, which had the presidency and a majority in Congress. The law was a $28 tariff on
imported steel, basically taking out the British competition in one stroke. The tariff was upheld
for a good 30 years. You may or may not favor laws like this one, but it is beside the point: it was
a Ka Ching moment for Andrew and the other eight steel companies in the United States. They
essentially got a license to print cash for themselves. Their timing was right. The rest is history.
Andrew Carnegie went on to become one of the wealthiest men ever... only to give it all back to
Society. The thinking behind his philanthropy was that he had been given a huge opportunity,
largely by the good fortune of being at the right time and the right place. Of course, there is more to
it than

The Choices Of Antigone And Sophocles Antigone
Kate Regan Loomis
Professor Baumann
The Quest for Justice
September 12, 2017
Self, Family, City Though the choices that Antigone and Creon face in Sophocles Antigone differ,
their decisions often end up pitted against each other s, inviting comparison. Since I am juxtaposing
the characters degrees of rightness, I believe that the rightness of the reasoning, not just their
ultimate stances, should be examined. The entirety of his or her argument, not just the conclusion,
must be taken into account. I ll also note that my perspective of rightness could and does conflict
with that of the gods in Antigone and Sophocles. Furthermore, rightness has an element of nuance
to it because of the word s multiple definitions and their connotations. ... Show more content on

This combined with her fixation on the curse makes it seem blatantly obvious to me that she is
using her brother s death and disrespectful treatment as an in with the gods.
Antigone wants to be redeemed in the afterlife through her act of burying Polyneices. This is
especially clear when she decides that she will bury him and die before she has even appealed to
Creon. The only route she can see is one that results in her death. Not until she is directly
confronted by her uncle does she attempt to dissuade him from dishonoring Polyneices. Even
then, she seems to be simply defending her own actions rather than accusing him of being
wrong, as she so adamantly has done with Ismene. He needs to implore her to Speak! (166, 442),
and when she does, she is flippant and prideful. Antigone only engages in real dialogue with him
when he forces her to. This could be interpreted as her simply understanding his position and
accepting it, but I find that unlikely. She clearly fundamentally disagrees with him and his
interpretation of the gods, but instead of trying to persuade him to recant his decree and bury her
brother, she capitalizes on the position she s in and thrusts herself into martyrdom. Even by the
gods standards, this does not seem to be justice or rightness . Her surface level loyalty to her
family may initially appeal, but I find it insincere and not right when I explore it more closely.
Creon absolutely is foolish when he

A Brief Note On Diamond Blackfan Anemia ( Dba ) Is A Rare...
Diamond Blackfan anemia (DBA) is a rare genetic disease that causes defects in the ribosomal
structure (Farber, 2016). The disease stems from a decrease in the production of erythroid
precursors in the bone marrow, which results in an extremely low red blood cell count. Due to the
reduction in the production of erythrocytes, most individuals diagnosed with this disease develop
an array of issues that can be life threatening such as a predisposition to cancer and bone marrow
failure. Within the first year of life, most symptoms of DBA will appear in most individuals (Ellis,
2014). The importance of understanding the genetics of DBA remains a priority in reducing the
number of infants affected by a detrimental hereditary blooddisorder.
After the first description of DBA by Josephs, the disease was further studied and analyzed by
Louis Diamond and Kenneth Blackfan in 1938 (Anupama Narla, 2011). Since Diamond and
Blackfan discovered a lot of information on the disease through research, the disease was named
after both doctors. Most of the families affected by DBA appear to pass the genetic mutation in a
dominant manner. Though several genes have been identified in the development of DBA,
mutations in the RPS19 gene has been linked to more cases of DBA. The RPS19 gene helps to
produce certain ribosomal factors that are used in ribonucleic acid processing. Ribosomes are
responsible for producing proteins on a cellular level. This mutation leads to the inability of

  • 2. Popular Culture s effect on Sports role models Think About My Generation... Baby! Sports have such an enormous part of people s lives and they influence us in various ways. People not only participate in sports, but they discuss, follow, write, and even fantasize about them daily. Particularly through the eyes of young children, who often view professional athletes as role models, and look up to them. Popular culture is a part of everyone s lives today, and it affects sports through a plethora of positive and negative ways. Popular culture makes certain athletes look very humbling, but then sometimes it could make an athlete look like a complete fool. Many young boys who enjoy sports usually have dreams of playing professionally one day. Therefore these athlete role models have such a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Professional athletes such as former New England Patriots star tight end Aaron Hernandez got into a very substantial amount of trouble. Hernandez was involved in murder, a very serious crime, and it now has him stuck in jail. He was released by the New England Patriots, and now is viewed as a horrific man. Michael Vick took part in dog fighting earlier in his career and was sent to prison for almost two years. Even though he is back in the NFL now, he will never be able to get rid of the past, and it will always haunt him. Both of these athletes committed very immoral crimes, obviously Hernandez s being more serious, but regardless they will always have to live with this. • 9. Empathy Is Extremely Important For Children Empathy is extraordinarily important for children to understand and eventually put into practice, as it exercises their ability to feel and respect the emotions of other people. Empathy also plays a big role in trust and support both of which are very important aspects of any relationship, and is necessary for living a healthy, functional life in today s society. In her article, Dovey describes A 2011 study published in the Annual Review of Psychology [...] showed that, when people read about an experience, they display stimulation within the same neurological regions as when they go through that experience themselves. (Dovey par. 11). This means that when people, or in this case, children, read stories, their brains react as if they were going through the same situations and emotions that they read about. This is a great way for kids to learn about empathy, why it s important, and how to apply it to their own lives. One may argue that, while readingmay trigger empathetic feelings in the majority of people, those who enjoy readinghave greater empathetic tendencies than others, making reading to teach empathy only applicable to those who like to read and have these higher than average tendencies. Dovey also addresses this, stating that other studies published in 2006 and 2009 showed [...] that people who read a lot of fiction [tended] to be better at empathizing with others (even after the researchers had accounted for the potential bias that people with greater empathetic ... The location, rate of flow, and turbidity (clear or murky) are the critical factors when evaluating the seriousness of seepage from a dam. It is a major minor problem because if controlled the affects are minor and not hazardous, but if not controlled it can become a major problem and possibly result in failures. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Most failures caused by groundwater and seepage can be classified into one of two categories based on the type of soil movement that is occurring. The failures will typically develop over a relatively long period of time so there will be ample warning if routine inspections are performed. The two categories of failure include those that take place when soil particles migrate to an escape exit and cause piping or erosion failures, and those that are caused by uncontrolled seepage patterns that lead to saturation, internal flooding, excessive uplift, or excessive seepage forces. Controlling Seepage Regularly scheduled monitoring and inspection is essential to detect seepage and prevent dam failure. Inspections should be made periodically throughout the year. Frequency should be based on hazard classification of the dam. Higher classified dams should be checked more common, compared to those that are lower hazard classified. At a minimum all dams should be visually inspected at least every six months, before a predicted major storm event, during or after severe rainstorms or snowmelts, and inspected weekly after construction is complete and reservoir filling is ongoing, and for at least two months after the reservoir has been filled. Upon first glance, Joseph Conrad s novella Heart of Darkness appears to tell the tale of a riveting adventure which tackles issues such as imperialism, race, and corruption. Charles Marlow, a British man, is part of the ivory trading industry in the heart of Africa. Naturally, one would point to the colonization and its implications in their analysis of this work. I argue, however, that beyond the standard topics as previously mentioned lie insight into Conrad s perception of gender and women. Furthermore, both the male and female characters in Heart of Darknessreveal the gender biases and societal sexism held by Joseph Conrad. In order to accomplish this, I will explore three ways in which Heart of Darkness excludes the female experience,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the same way that the African perspective is silenced and disregarded, British women are also overlooked as nonsensical and morally corrupt. Through the imperialistic ventures, Kurtz robs the Africans of their voice and autonomy. Similarly, the British women are denied voices, agency, and even names. We are only given Marlow s bias and unfair assessment of women. The parallel between imperialism and women in Heart of Darkness is highlighted by Martine Hennard Dutheil De la RochГЁre in her work Heart of Darkness as a Modernist Anti Fairy Tale. She writes Heart of Darkness can thus be read as a deeply ambivalent reflection on the collaboration between imperial and patriarchal structures: it represents colonial exploitation as inseparable from the feminine and yet justifies the exclusion of women in the name of a feminine ideal that Marlow attempts to preserve (De la Rochere, 8). In order to perpetuate his patriarchal idealism of women, he cages them and prevents any substantial female representation. The Importance Of Racial Diversity In High Schools Literature Review The racial climate at primarily white institutions has been widely publicized, especially as discussions about political correctness in American society have increased. The University of Louisville was criticized in 2015, when local news outlets publicized tensions present in the school s honors dorm and the school s president, James Ramsey, faced backlash for donning a Mexican garb for Halloween season festivities. The following literature review attempts to set a foundation for the discussion of whether or not students are prepared to interact with students from racial backgrounds different from their own, and whether or not students who have experienced discrimination in college expected to when they chose the University of Louisville. High schools have recently made news for decades of slow moving, but noticeable resegregation. Some communities have succeeded in producing lasting integration, but others have been segregated by race, and often, income as well, leading to decreased educational opportunity and achievement. More important to this study is the result that this resegregation has had on the makeup of high schools many schools lack ample opportunity for students to encounter classmates of different backgrounds. This sentence states very clearly that this was the begging of one of the norms that Eliza went against. The norm was that a poor girl like Eliza is not supposed to speak to a rich gentleman such as Pickering. The explanation that links these two together is dissociation, which allows parents who are abusers to remain distant from and minimize sympathy toward their victims. Additionally, there is a higher rate of dissociation disorders among intimate partner violence survivors and perpetrators. The objective of the study performed by Webermann, Brand, and Chasson in 2004 was to see how prevalent intimate partner violence is among those who commit childhood maltreatment. To gather this data, dissociative disorder clinicians reported on the rates of childhood maltreatment and intimate partner violence from 275 patients and assessed the associations between childhood maltreatment and partner violence. The results showed that there was a correlation between the two factors and that physical abuse was associated with physical spouse violence, while neglect was associated with emotional spouse violence (Webermann, Brand, Chasson, 2014). Intimate partner violence (or IPV) encompasses physical, sexual, psychological, or emotional harm from a partner. He and his fellow Europeans had traveled to different lands before where they overthrew native peoples with a mission to spread their own religion and an attitude of superiority. The Indians had never before encountered people of a different culture. Although the two parties were of the same species, they were vastly different in language, clothing, technology, and lifestyle. When the Spaniards first arrived, they were unthreatened by the Indians and looked at them with a strong sense of condescension. The Indians, on the other hand, welcomed these strangers and bestowed generous gifts upon them. The Spanish thought the Indians were foolish and were not as generous in their reciprocation of such gifts. However as the encounterprogressed, the Spaniards became more threatened by the Indians. Because of this, they antagonize the entire race of people. They believe they are all evil and less human. They respond to their actions with great violence and contempt, while stripping the Indians of their dignity. The Indians, in turn, react defensively, also with violence (Todorov). After decades of conflict, the exchange ultimately results in the complete genocide of the Indian population. In this particular encounter, there exists two parties, both of the same species but with great differences. There is also one party, the Spaniards, aware of the others existence and that actively pursued this encounter. The Indians, however, were unaware that other societies and worlds existed beyond their own and were sabotaged by the surprise arrival of the Europeans. The conquistadors had previous encounters with other people different from their own. From these prior experiences, they had expectations to come to America and use its resources and people to their own advantage. They had also already established through previous endeavors, that groups and races of people different from their own could not be seen as equals. They identify these groups as Others, that are inferior and less intelligent (Todorov). This already creates a dilemma referred to as the double movement. If Columbus and the Europeans sought ... Krakow Research Paper Only a few miles from Poland s second largest cities, Krakow, lies a nearly barren field with only a moderate sized memorial to the thousands of people killed in a brutal act of genocide. Here, between 1941 and 1945, thousands of enemies of the Nazi party, primarily Jews, were worked, starved, died of disease, or were shot. Out of the over 150,000 people sent through Plaszow and its sub camps, only around 2,000 survived. From its establishment in 1941 to its liquidation in January 1945, thousands of people lost their lives or were sent to their deaths in other camps. In the years before the German occupation, the Jewish population of Krakow was usually around 70,000. After the Nazi conquest, the Jews were persecuted relentlessly. Between May and December of 1941, 55,000 Krakow Jews were forced into the countryside, and between 15,000 and 20,000 remaining Jews were housed in the newly established Krakow Ghetto. Because of Jane Pierce s frail health, opposition to drinking, and her depression over the loss of her child, social functions at the White House were almost unheard of during the first half of the Pierce administration. In its later stages, she did manage some appearances at events there, but she came to be known as The Shadow in the White House. Franklin Pierce came to office during a period of growing tension between the North and South. Pierce was behind one of the most crucial pieces of legislation in American history. Although he did not author the Kansas Nebraska Act, he did encourage its passage by Congress. And that piece of legislation set the nation on its path to civil war. Be sure to include Moses Fleetwood Walker as one of the individuals in your discussion. There was a great many ways in which sports helped to form and keep ethnic and racial identities during the time frame. Some ethnic groups used their culture s sports, and the clubs they formed, in order to resist assimilation into American culture thus keeping their own country s ethnic culture intact. While some groups made the choice to maintain their ethnic culture rather than integrate it with America s larger culture, others had no say in the matter. The group that comes to mind are the African American people. Contrary to European clubs that tended to fight inclusion African Americans wished to be integrated into the American culture but were denied due to systemic racism spanning across the country. Even when they were allowed to participate in sports it wasn t for long. Take Moses Fleetwood Walker for instance, he was one of the first African Americans to play professional baseball because another team s player manager refused to play games with an African American (Gems 145). • 37. How Community Nursing Can Potentially Address Them According to one recent study, more than 1.5 million people experience homelessness in the United States every year (Doran, 2013, p. 355). Individuals of all ages and from all walks of life face homelessness today. While already facing this one adversity, they also face inadequate health care in a variety of ways. They face specific healthproblems in higher concentrations than other populations, including mental health disorders and substance abuse (Harkness, 2012). Many also face chronic health conditions such as diabetes or hypertension that go untreated (Harkness, 2012). In addition, access to health care is a barrier with which this population struggles. Healthy People 2020 includes goals to improve access to comprehensive, quality health care services and improve health related quality of life and well being for all individuals (2020 Topics and Objectives, 2010). This paper reviews these goals in light of the homeless population and explores how community nursing can potentially address them. The goal to improve access to health care services is important in the homeless population. The homeless often lack the ability to pay for health services. Many homeless remain uninsured or underinsured (Parker, 2013). Without insurance, the homeless of the United States have little to no access to preventative services (Parker, 2013). Unlike the National Football League and the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball(MLB) does not have a salary cap. This has caused a lot of randomness in salaries. The salaries of teams also varies quite a bit as well. From the data I have used, in 2015, the Los Angeles Dodgers salary was almost five times higher than the Miami Marlins. What would cause such a disparity? Being a Baltimore Orioles fan and my father being a New York Yankee fan, we would argue statistics and I usually would have a less than substantial argument for my beloved Orioles. My father would say 25, implying the number of pennants the Yankees had. Given this was about eight years ago, I had not taken a statistics class. I did, without research, argue that the Baltimore Orioles do more with their salary. While thinking of a regression earlier this semester, I wanted to run a regression of team wins on the city size. My theory was larger cities meant higher salaries and in turn more wins because of the higher salaries. I ran the regression and found the results to be very insignificant and had no basis of explaining the wins of a team. A recent outcome in Baseball, blew my theory out of the water. At the end of our lab session, we were assigned our first 10 page lab report for the term. Ten pages on taking the temperature of boiling water!? How would we manage to get ten pages out of this simple assignment? It turns out that ten pages was conservative. Our lab reports would follow the scientific method: We d state our hypothesis and the assumptions we had before conducting the experiment; we d list and describe the procedures followed, step by step, including a list of the equipment and other materials used; we d discuss the collection of data and provide detailed notes of the recordings; and finally, draw some conclusions about the findings. • 47. A Brief Note On Diamond Blackfan Anemia ( Dba ) Is A Rare... Diamond Blackfan anemia (DBA) is a rare genetic disease that causes defects in the ribosomal structure (Farber, 2016). The disease stems from a decrease in the production of erythroid precursors in the bone marrow, which results in an extremely low red blood cell count. Due to the reduction in the production of erythrocytes, most individuals diagnosed with this disease develop an array of issues that can be life threatening such as a predisposition to cancer and bone marrow failure. Within the first year of life, most symptoms of DBA will appear in most individuals (Ellis, 2014). The importance of understanding the genetics of DBA remains a priority in reducing the number of infants affected by a detrimental hereditary blooddisorder. After the first description of DBA by Josephs, the disease was further studied and analyzed by Louis Diamond and Kenneth Blackfan in 1938 (Anupama Narla, 2011). Since Diamond and Blackfan discovered a lot of information on the disease through research, the disease was named after both doctors. Most of the families affected by DBA appear to pass the genetic mutation in a dominant manner. Though several genes have been identified in the development of DBA, mutations in the RPS19 gene has been linked to more cases of DBA. The RPS19 gene helps to produce certain ribosomal factors that are used in ribonucleic acid processing. Ribosomes are responsible for producing proteins on a cellular level. This mutation leads to the inability of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
