Parenting Styles Between African American And Latin...
Thesis Statement: Coming from different backgrounds can be difficult. Being raised based on religion
, values , and morals play a huge role in your life. Everyone isn t raised the same . There are many
different parenting styles. Today, I will compare and contrast two different parenting styles between
African American and Latin American families.
I.Four styles of parenting
A. Authoritative Parents
B . Authoritarian Parents C. Uninvolved Parents D. Permissive Parents
II. Religion
A. Africa American people religion vary . Some people practice Judaism , Buddhism or Christian .
The predominant religion is Christinanity
B.There are more than 425 million Catholics in the Latin American community . Catholicism is
practiced in 18 countries and one U.S. Territory.
III.Values
A.In the past, African American families suffered a lot when they were slaves in the society. The
people in the family were separated because of the sale of family members as slaves. However, they
still maintained the bond with the family. The slaves, who got their freedom, started working hard to
save money to free their family members from the clutches of slavery. The people who unfortunately
lost their blood relations made up with the fictive kin like cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
However, none of these were blood relations. This practice is taken from ancient African traditions
where non blood relatives were accorded status of family members. It was considered to be an honor.

A Interview On The Film The Night Of The Eyes
As the cheers and enthusiasm came from the roaring crowd, all chanting the word Spice Time, Spice
Time! , as the 4 girls with the hidden past stood on the stage receiving the praise of their adoring fans
during their final performance of their UK tour. Alice,Rowen, Jessamy and Cressida all recalled the
horrible and dreadful night they had endured in their minds as they walk into the interview. The
interviewer named Joan Callamezzo had captured the audience s attention with the shocking headline
on what had happened to the 5th member of Spice Time, Luna who was also Cressida s younger sister.
The story the girls all agreed to give was intact into their minds by management; while in their
hometown of Wales, England ,Luna had sadly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The girls had big hopes to land a contract with a management known for discovering young artists like

waiting to hear back. I can t believe we have a shot of being as famous as the Spice Girls ahhhhhhh
screeched the young enthusiastic 16 old girl named Luna Rose. Luna shut up you re embarrassing me
you twerp her older 19 year old sister Cressida Rose yelled from the front seat of the beat up car.
Cressida s three best friends, Jessamyn Williams(18), Rowen Howell(17), Alice Lester(19) watched in
amusement as the two sisters bickered back and forth throughout the whole car ride. An hour later the
car finally came to a halt and stood in front a almost Victorian like mansion nothing like your average
beach house. The house stood in the middle of a dead like forest and to the left a winding trail leading
to the harsh cold rapid waves that were hitting jagged rocks alongside a cliff. This isn t what I pictured
, Alice mumbled incoherently to herself.
~3 days later~
As the girls finally got comfortably adjusted into the nonchalant schedule of being stuck inside the
house all day due to the typical England weather and their hopes of adventuring were soon diminished

The Forest Service Trail Stewardship Act Of 2015 Essay
For the purpose of this assignment, I am going to discuss the Forest Service Trail Stewardship Act of
2015, H.R. 845 (the Horse, 2016). The bill was introduced on April 29, 2015 by Cynthia Lummis
member of the Republican Party, representing the state of Wyoming and Tim Walz member of the
Democratic Party, representing the state of Minnesota. The bill was introduced by the House of
Representatives (the Horse, 2015, votesmart, 2016). The Senate Bill 1110 (S.1110), was introduced in
bipartisan fashion in the U.S. Senate Bill 1110 (S.1110), (Back Country Horsemen of America, 2016).
The bill was then sponsored by BCHA and members of The Wilderness Society and American Horse
Council (Back Country Horsemen of America, 2016). The purpose of the bill was to direct the Forest
Service to take serval actions regarding trial maintenance backlog that was adversely affecting all trail
users on many National Forests at that time, including equestrians (the Horse, 2016, American Horse
Council, 2016). The bill would promote volunteerism in the service of National Forest trails (Back
Country Horsemen of America, 2016). A study was conducted by the Government Accountability
Office in June 2013. The study showed that the Forest Service delayed trail maintenance needs which
was over half a billion dollars and only a quarter of the agency s 158,000 miles of trails met the
agency standards for maintenance. The delay of the maintenance was resulting in accessibility and
other safety issues for

The Concept of Freedom an Article by Joel Feinberg Essay
While many words throughout the English language can paint a vivid image or idea, the word freedom
is perhaps one of the most ambiguous. It is defined as the following: the fact of not being controlled
by subject or fate; the power of self determination attributed to will ( Freedom ). Its definition cannot
be simplified into one dimension, and its interpretation is completely contextual. The reason that the
definition from the Oxford English Dictionary was given prior, was due to its broadness; making it a
more well suited definition to describe the concept of freedom. In analyzing freedom, similar words
will be discussed, freedom s characteristics described, and examples given, in order to illustrate the
word and some of its many uses. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A prisoner of war may feel ecstatic when the war is over and he can finally go back home to his
family; free from his oppressors. A conservative may feel outraged by the idea of abortion being
legalized, but those supporting it may feel relief for women; knowing they are now free to act with
their own bodies accordingly. Freedom evokes different emotions in different instances, and most
words cannot achieve that to the same extent that freedom can. Another attribute associated with
freedom, as illustrated before, is its versatility. Freedom can not only evoke many emotions, but can
have multiple meanings. It can be representative of its synonyms is one sense and its antonyms in
another. In the abortion example, the legalization of abortion could be liberating to those who support
it, and restrictive to those who believe that it is immoral, unholy, destructive to society, et cetera.
In Joel Feinberg s article, The Concept of Freedom, he discusses how the word free, without any
context, does not shed any light on what makes something free. According to Feinberg, most general
ascriptions of freedom are best understood as elliptical, or abbreviate for some longer expression...we
may have to add specifications of what someone is free from, or is free to do, or more precisely who it
is whose freedom is at issue (10). Without specifics, people will remain uncertain of what sort of

John Stuart Mill’s Explanation of the Harm Principle
John Stuart Mill s explanation of the harm principle is not as useful as once believed. Although the
harm principle does in fact have some logic, it fails to set clear and concise borders regarding what
denotes allowable hate speech. The harm principle essentially states that all speech, including hate
speech, should be allowed. However, speech that causes a definable harm must be censored. For
example, merely offensive speech is allowed; however, the context of the offensive speech in question
is important in understanding when to apply Mill s harm principle. The principle has some major
flaws, as Mill does not take into consideration the numerous factors that must be examined before
deciding whether or not to apply the principle, such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even if a critique is meaningless, Mill argues that we did our best at attempting to ensure the validity
of a claim. We should therefore study all modes and perspectives in which something can be looked
at, since our knowledge base depends on subjecting ourselves to alternative viewpoints to know the
truth about something. The disagreement and contestation that potentially occurs is what leads to the
truth. Furthermore, contrary to the beliefs of certain monarchs during his time, Mill argued that human
beings are not infallible; therefore, we can never be certain that anything is definite, because we are
not in a position to be judges of certainty (Cahn 443). The usefulness of an opinion is subjective and
open to discussion, and due to the fallibility of humans, no individual has the right to stifle the opinion
of another, for we can never be certain we are stifling a false opinion (Cahn 461). Even our truest
convictions must be tested, Mill argues, because even they can be partly mistaken. However, it may in
fact be that our convictions are logical and valid. Mill asserts that even then we must subject ourselves
to critics and alternative viewpoints; only then can our convictions become vivid in our mind and
character. If our beliefs are not tested, they will become robotic and lifeless. Further, Mill argues that
we must not think in black and white, for different positions have value in them and since we are not
judges of what is

A New Paradigm Of Nuclear Energy

A New Paradigm of Nuclear Energy Thorium Based Breeder Reactors
Nuclear energy is one of the safest and cleanest forms of energy used today. At a rate of 1 death per 25
TWh generated, nuclear energy is 11 times safer than solar energy, which has an efficiency rate of 1
death per 2.27 TWh generated and over 4000 times less deadly than coal at 161 deaths per TWh
(Wang, 2011). However, the inherent dangers, of a nuclear reactor meltdown still exists, despite the
safeguards implemented to make them increasingly unlikely. Meltdowns and breaches can occur due
to various factors, such construction defects, aging infrastructure, operator error, and natural disasters
as seen in widely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Below is an equation outlining one possible fission reaction: Figure 1. An example fission reaction for
Uranium 235 (Bodner Research Group, n.d.)
Therefore, with each interaction releasing three more neutrons than it started with, the reaction can
perpetuate with no further energy input. In power plants, excess neutrons are absorbed by rods to
control the rate of reaction. If there is any error, the reaction can quickly get out of control and cause a
runaway reaction, creating a meltdown due to excessive heat.
By far and beyond, widespread catastrophic meltdowns are the cause of the general public s anxiety
when it comes to nuclear power. The most recent major nuclear disaster was at the Fukushima Daiichi
Reactor in Fukushima, Japan in 2011 (Simon, 2011). An earthquake triggered tsunami damaged the
reactor and caused a meltdown, as well as a massive hydrogen gas explosion. This explosion vented
contaminated steam and radioactive material into the plant s surroundings, which eventually made its
way to nearby ocean currents, prefectures, and countries. With such a largely publicized recent
meltdown, the imminent dangers of containment breaches and meltdowns are still fresh in the public s
perception of nuclear power.
However, there are long term waste disposal issues for

Construction Of Construction And Built Environment Sector
In this assignment I will be looking at the structure and activates of the construction and built
environment sector. These particular roles all play a massive part into the construction and
maintenance of a building. Such as house Building which may be funded by a government grant, a
private investor or a mixture of both. Schools Hospitals are mainly funded by government or a PFI
contract. Industrial Commercial Accommodation may be funded by private company for their own use
or letting them out to other companies. Utilities may be funded by the local councils with a
combination from the government to supply the houses and building with adequate means of water
and gas and sewers along with civil engineers to construct road and access to buildings. Reclamation
may be funded by a private investor to develop land for means of building on. This may also
incorporate the demolition of building and areas of land which could be make way for new
developments. Building Maintenance Facilities Management can be controlled by a private company
working for a government origination.
These jobs will require trades such as structural engineers who work on houses, hospitals, bridges and
office blocks. Working closely with the architects Structural engineers have to choose appropriate
materials, such as concrete, steel, timber and masonry, to meet design specifications (Prospects.ac.uk,
2015). Architects job would be to design new building or drawings for restoration projects

How Technology Has Impacted The Way Cities Operate
The use of IoT has already impacted the way cities operate. The term smart cities, is used to describe a
city that possesses an IoT oriented infrastructure. In a smart city, the digital technologies translate into
better public services for inhabitants and better use of resources while reducing environmental impacts
. [3] For a smart city to be feasible, IoT must provide intelligence, interconnection, and
instrumentation. Wi Fi enabled smart devices and low cost sensors are components of the smart city
and allow devices a way to communicate with the public via the internet. These devices collect real
time data, which not only improves the lives of residents, but transforms several sectors of public
service as well. Transportation has been revolutionized by smart traffic management systems which
gather data from an array of magnetic road sensors and hundreds of cameras. The result is less delay at
major stop lights and increased travel speeds, because enabled drivers can see which lights are busy
and monitor these areas for other vehicles and pedestrians. To lower traffic and driver search times for
parking spots, parking sensors that detect parking spaces for drivers are installed in major cities. Street
lights use a method of energy saving known as adaptive lighting which enables them to determine
their brightness setting, appropriate for a given situation. The smart city solution to conserving energy
is through smart girds. A smart grid serves several energy management

Ns The National Security Agency
USA Today confirms: the National Security Agency has been secretly collecting the phone call records
of tens of millions of Americans, using data provided by AT T, Verizon and BellSouth. With access to
records of billions of domestic calls, the NSA has gained a secret window into the communications
habits of millions of Americans. (Opsahl 28 Sep. 2013) It s no secret that the U.S. government agency
known as the NSA, National Security Agency, has been monitoring phone calls and Internet usage of
United States citizens since the early 2000 s during George W. Bush s time in office. During his
presidency, Bush authorized the motorization of millions of citizen s phone calls. (Tebbutt 25 Sep.
2013) The NSA created a secret program called The Highlander Program which was designed to
monitor satellite phone transmissions on the Inmarsat network in the Middle East. During this secret
program, the NSA did not monitor any United States citizens. Bush claimed the surveillance was
limited to the al Qaeda, but that simply was not the case. (Forgang 27 Sep. 2013) Does the United
States government have the right to listen in on civilian s phone calls regardless of the reason? As seen
in the media, most citizens don t want the NSA to be listening in on their calls and other forms of
communication. In Samuel Greengard s magazine article, Spies Among Us, he explains, The boundary
between protection and privacy has always been fuzzy. (Greengard 27 Sep. 2013) The point he is

Functioning. Psi Chi, The International Honor Society In Psychology, 19 (3), 88 97.
This study speaks about whether or not an alerting odor, such as peppermint, can affect attention and
working memory. Research has been completed previously on the influences of odorants on cognitive
functioning, physiology, behavior, and mood. From earlier research, it was resulted that a person s
atmosphere was affected in either a positive or negative way; depending on the type of smell they
inhaled. If a participant smelled an unpleasant smell, it was determined that the person would have a
negative change in their mood; when the participant would inhale a positive smell, their mood would
change positively.
The study consisted of fifty, female, undergraduate college students. The ethnicities that were use for
this study were African American, European, Asian, Hispanic, biracial, and a very slight percentage
was categorized as other. The experiment would begin at 5:00pm everyday, for four weeks. One of the
three groups was administered each day. The three groups were either peppermint, expectation, or
control. Each participant was seated down, given an instruction sheet, a laptop, and was not able to see
the other participants from their view. The participants were told to put a facemask on and leave it on

At Sea Simon Armitage
The Title to this poem At Sea is a neutral title and doesn t give away a lot of the meaning to the poem.
It doesn t necessarily commit to anything specific; it s just a statement. This is just like the poem.
Armitage hasn t completely stated what the poem is about, there is nothing to say that it is definitely
describing someone/something At Sea . However, there are small links that suggest the Sea is being
used metaphorically. I think that the summary of this poem is the story of a family. It is not through

Much Ado About Nothing and Good Will Hunting
Self discovery relies on the learning from others.Self discovery is defined as The act or process of
achieving understanding or knowledge of oneself. We all interact with many people who play an
influential role in our lives. These people could challenge, criticize, motivate, inspire, or judge us.
Through this, we may develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and our abilities. By reflecting
upon difficult or unhappy interactions with another person, we might even be able to see these
interactions with new eyes. The idea of counterfeiting, in the sense of presenting a false face to the

Constellation
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In modern astronomy, a constellation is an internationally defined area of the celestial sphere. These
areas are grouped around asterisms (which themselves are generally referred to in non technical
language as constellations ), which are patterns formed by prominent stars within apparent proximity
to one another on Earth s night sky. There are 88 standard constellations recognized by the
International Astronomical Union (IAU) since 1922. The majority of these go back to the 48
constellations defined by Ptolemy in his Almagest (2nd century). The remaining ones were defined in
the 17th and 18th century; the most recent ones are found on the southern sky, defined in Coelum

The Clean Water Act (USEPA)
1. Ambient and Exposure Standards
Although the growing concern about cyanobacterial blooms, as well as the intoxication by
cyanotoxins worldwide, in the United States there is not any regulation for cyanobacteria or
cyanotoxins levels in the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) or in the Clean Water Act (CWA)
(USEPA, 2015a). Since the SDWA provides the authority for the United States Environmental
Protection Agency (USEPA) to publish health advisories (HAs) for agents that do not have any
national drinking water regulation. Therefore, USEPA is the agency that is responsible for the
implementing and enforcing of the guidelines, standards or HAs related to cyanotoxins. Based on this,

Thus, the use of phycocyanin (PC) a unique pigment present on freshwater cyanobacteria is proposed
for a quick estimator of cyanotoxins (Reynolds, 2006; Simis et al., 2005). Because of that, studies
have been focusing on the use of PC fluorescence properties to identify PC in vivo, since it is excited
in lower wavelengths (between 590 630nm regions of the visible spectrum) and it is emitted around
650nm (Gregor et al., 2007). Therefore, the monitoring of PC using in vivo fluorimeters can provide a
quick response for the risk assessment and management of cyanotoxins in freshwaters.
The agency that would be involved in implementing and enforcing this potential standard is the
USEPA, since according to the Public Law 114 45, Section 1459 (added in from August 7, 2015), the
USEPA is responsible to develop a strategic plan for the assessment, monitoring and management of
risks associated with cyanotoxins in drinking water (USEPA, 2015d). Therefore, through the USEPA s
Algal Toxin Risk Assessment and Management Strategic Plan for Drinking Water it will be possible to

The Effects Of Optimism On Cancer Survival Rate
The previous section has shown that previous study had yielded contradictory results. To account for
the inconsistent findings, we have to first understand the inner mechanisms of the effects of optimism
on cancer survival rate. Salovey (2000) has proposed various potential casual pathways from
dispositional optimism to cancer survival outcomes. One of the potential mediators of optimism and
survival outcome might be immune system. In other words, optimism tends to enhance the immune
system which in turn enhance cancer survival rate. Indeed, Ah (2007) examines the intimate
connections among social support, optimism, and immune response. Ah hypothesized that optimism
plays a mediating role for immune response and cancer outcome. 54 cancer patients participated in the
study. They completed questionnaires regarding stress level, optimism, and satisfaction social support.
Participants blood was assessed to measure the immune system (ex., white blood cell such as natural
killer cell. The results showed that only optimism is associated with immune response and cancer
prognosis, while perceived satisfaction of social support was not associated immune response.
Given that immunology mediate the relationship between optimism and cancer survival rate, it is
possible that the inconsistent results of the previous studies might be accounted by mechanisms
related to immunology.
One possible explanation might be that previous studies looked at different types of cancer, while

Yeti Crab Adaptations
There s an adaptation for everything. Mammals, reptiles, and these deep sea creatures as well. For
some animals to live functionally in the environments in which they were placed, they develop some
rather unusual traits and features to help them to survive in their habitat. The giant squid, zombie
worms, large jellyfish and even the yeti crab serve as excellent examples of animals which developed
certain adaptations to help them live in their extreme deep sea environment. Living in the deep sea
part of the waters, these animals may need certain features to help them survive there. The giant squid,
for example, has ¨the largest eyes of any animal on earth.¨ Living, on average, around 500 1000

Narmer Palette
The Palette of King Narmer is known as an Ancient Egyptian artifact that dates all the way back to the
pre dynastic period. The Palette made of Schist (clay) depicts the rule King Narmer. Although the
nature of this palette is still a mystery, it still has not been proven if the depictions are used for a
historical record or an essential tool of the political propaganda of Ancient Egypt. Based on the
palettes shape, size, and detailed images that are presented show that the palette was not only used for
daily and historical purposes. With a more in dept. look at the palette it s shown clear that the main
purpose of the palette was not to be used for historical records about King Narmer, but to show his
leadership as a ruler by showing his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It uncovers the meaning of hierarchy of Egyptian life. It has been proven that the art during this time
showed King Narmer as a distant figure, which shows the growing power of his dominance that led to
the theory of whether Narmer was the reason behind the unification of upper and lower Egypt.
The Narmer Palette is an elaborate formalized version of a utilitarian object that is commonly used in
the pre dynastic period to prepare eye makeup, in which Egyptians used as a source of protection
through their eyes against irritation and the glare of the sun. On the front of the palette, the elongated
necks of the two cats that are presented form a circular depression that would have held eye makeup in
an ordinary palette not made for display. The intertwined necks of the animals may be a representation
of Ancient Egypt s Unification. The Palette has been discovered in the city of Hierakonopolis located
in Egypt. The palette shows the King (Narmer) displaying his dominance over both Upper and Lower
Egypt, which raises a theory from scholars of whether or not he unified the two kingdoms of Egypt.
As the two sides of the palette shows the king depicted wearing a white crown of Upper Egypt, and on
the other side of the palette it shows the king wearing the red crown of Lower Egypt. This may be a
good argument of whether or not Narmer unified Egypt but what these two depictions do show is King

Sylvia Plath Thesis
Sylvia Plath is best known for the intense coupling of violent or disturbed imagery with the playful
use of alliteration and rhyme in her work. (poets.org). Daddy, one of Plath s poems is a way for her to
express her life story and allow others to see into it. Living in an abusive home, she was torn down
daily. She makes it clear that her father was a male dominating, evil individual. By constantly being in
this environment, it ultimately affected her work. Daddy was written only months before she
committed suicide by placing her head in a gas oven. By taking her life in this extreme way, it shows
how much of an impact the relationship with her father had; she could only live with so much mental
and emotional abuse. This poem can be seen as a final ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(need an argumentative thesis) Those that have read Daddy, know that there is a repetitive mention of
victim and villain, Nazi and Jew. Plath uses the Holocaust as an analogy and final cry to be heard. This
poem was written roughly twenty years after the Holocaust occurred, some may find this as
insensitive, however Plath knew she was using it to her advantage, a way to express the intensity and
horridness of living with her father. It allowed an insight for the readers to truly understand her
feelings. Plath grew up with her father, a German, who was a manipulative man that did not
understand the idea of being kind. Poets.org suggests that Mr. Plath was a strict man, and that Sylvia
Plath lived in what seemed like a communistic environment. Until she was eight years old, Plath put
up with her father s wickedness; after his passing, she became obsessed with his death and began to
overwhelm herself with a mix of emotions. This went on to define her relationships and poems. She
went on to marry Ted Hughes who, shortly after, left her for Assia Gutmann Wevill, which threw her
into a deep depression. She proceeded for ten years to attempt

An Project On Water Resources
Objective: This project focuses on water resources in the region of ancient Eastern Arabia at the site of
As Safah, Oman. This site has archaeological evidence of metallurgical activities in the Iron Age (c.
900 600 BCE), like kilns, furnaces and metal objects, still in very good condition. However, the site is
very far away from any natural water sources in the present day. Excavators did find sediment and
fluvial deposits suggesting that occasionally in the past the site had an inflow of water (Genchi,
Giardino, and Castelluccia 8). The objective of this project was to use satellite imagery to understand
why this site was chosen for intensive metal production despite it distance from water, necessary for
metal production. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Later that year and throughout 2013, excavators worked on the site, conducting surveys and digging
test trenches. Excavators found kilns and furnaces, layers of floor, and metal objects, like ax heads,
swords, daggers, and sledgehammer heads in very good condition. Excavators believe it is a very well
preserved site because of the formation and rapid movement of the desert sands which covered up the
site relatively quickly after it was abandoned (Genchi, Giardino, and Castelluccia 3 4). Sites with
similar metal deposits dating to approximately the same time have been found in the region, at Ibri, for
example, 50 km west of As Safah (Yule 39 40). The site itself has been delineated into As Safah 1 and
2 based upon the deposit of material found on either side of a large dune belt (Genchi, Giardino, and
Castelluccia 3). As Safah 1 measures approximately 80,000 m2 and As Safah 2 measures
approximately 17 hectares (Genchi, Giardino, and Castelluccia 11). The surrounding area is made up
of a wadi and dune deposits and the annual precipitation is less than 50 mm. As a result, large amounts
of rainfall will cause flash floods in this and surrounding low areas (Genchi, Giardino, and
Castelluccia 5 6). The site does not appear to be close to a fruitful water source. The entire region is
hyperarid and not conducive to farming. The rain comes erratically by the year, some years being
better than others (Potts 165). The location does offers other advantages which

At first, he was not concerned on the national problems because he was too tired and needed
relaxation with his family. However, later, he found that France was becoming ruined and decided to
make the coup against parliament. Lucien Bonaparte, a younger brother of Napoleon Bonaparte, made
Napoleon the offer to become one of three governing consuls, but Napoleon rejected. He wanted to
take the throne of France. Napoleon had his own greed that wanted to be popular and did not prefer
people to forget his victories by uncompleted invasion, Although he had been given a hero s welcome
by the populace he knew that this type of fame was fleeting, and he also recognized that recent French
military victories in Holland and Switzerland had somewhat tarnished his own unfinished effort in
Egypt. When he made the coup against parliament, Napoleon mentioned the true liberty and the
republic. He then transported his spirited oratory to the beautiful gardens and the waiting troops with
whose aid the republic would be established. Napoleon called his troops for coup, saying that the real
republic finally established. However, people did not consider this action as the republic. One deputy

All Men Are Created Equal Research Paper
Culture and ethnic groups have many strict values and principles when it comes to war. Most ethnic
groups tend to focus on themselves rather than taking into account the international issues that are
occurring. With the advancement of society, these groups often stand by their morals instead of trying
to engage in new ones and accepting the worldwide conflicts. More often than not, ethnic groups are
discriminated against even after the rise of the concept All men are created equal (The Declaration of
Independence). Yet, this idea is neglected especially in regards to social status and race. These people
have different intentions and repeatedly are being encouraged to blend into American society and
leave their values behind. In the past, equality and individual rights were portrayed in an extremely
different matter which impacted people s views on freedom today.
In today s generation, converging viewpoints make it difficult for an individual to speak their own
mind without prejudice. Politics have a huge range of diverse opinions; however, international affairs
need to be decided by a nation as a whole. In the past, politics led to rivalry between the north and the
south because of distinct aspects of slavery and land disputes. Constitutional amendment 15 allowed

Nazi engineer Ferdinand Porsche had on Germany s effort to gain power throughout history. A critical
analysis of the actions of Ferdinand Porsche and the Porsche company during the rise and fall of the
Nazi empire during 1933 to 1945 in Germany and Europe will be looked at. Secondly, to what extent
was Porsche s products engineering to blame for this fall. However the German economy had already

engineering on their side. This historical investigation has found clearly that Ferdinand Porsche did

As a result of this a different viewpoint is achieved, whilst assisting Germany and the Nazis he also
helped assist the UUSR with weapons. Though this source does not have a reliable stem and does not

Source D also bring in another aspect. That is that Ferdinand Porsche was at a small extent to blame
for the fall of this regime. The evidence is there and should not be neglected. The argument put forth is
one that the calibre of Mr Ferdinand Porsche s weapons were far inferior to that of the allies and were
not advanced enough. Due to this fault the German regime was deteriorating as they could not fend of
their competitors.
However these viewpoints are weak and are simply not logical. A man of calibre such as Mr
Ferdinand Porsche would not have aided the USSR with weaponry, simply due to his personal
relationship to Adolf Hitler and his strong connection to Nazism. But indeed the third aspect
mentioned should definitely be taken into account. That is that the caliber and capacity of his weapons
were inferior to that of the Western allies which intern puts a minute extent of the blame of the Nazi
empire on Mr

San Jose Mercury News Editorial, authors of Remedial costs are too high for CSU to bear highlight
the San Jose State University policy that took place in 2009. The policy is about Freshmen students
who are required to take remedial classes since their math or English basic college level aren t good
enough. To notice these students that need help ahead of time CSU created the Early Assessment
Program . Even though CSU created the voluntary Early Assessment Program, which has an essay and
two dozen questions that are included in standardized tests given to juniors, many students didn t pass
it. Those students who don t take the Early Assessment Program or aren t qualified will have to take
online tutorials and remedial classes which take a year to study. Sadly, there ll be no repeat chances for
those students who don t pass their remedial courses. They may have to hire tutors or take courses off

The second important scene of the movie was the kitchen scene where Jack is being held captive. This
scene shows the transition of scale at a major level. If the whole kitchen were built to the scale of the
giant the kitchen would ve been 300 feet long. Instead of that the designers divided the kitchen to
three parts and displayed the props in them.
Large scale props were made with lightweight material to show the comparison between the human

Additionally a human sized cage is also used to show the entrapped man. This cage was built for a

Amusement parks encompass the basic playgrounds and simple parks and attract people of all age

In common language, theme park is often used as a synonym for the term amusement park . A theme
park is actually a distinct style of amusement park, for a theme park has landscaping, buildings, and

Chapter Summary Of Beastly By Alex Flinn
Chapter 7 In this chapter I learned what literary canon was. I learned that it is a master of works that
are usually studied in college. Writers use elements from kiddie stories to shape their stories. Most of
the time this is too complex to put in a text. Foster also talked about how writers we know tend to take
the basic fairytales and kiddie stories and add depth to them. We all know for example The Wizard of
Oz was turned into Wicked. He also talked about how when reading these type of stories, we want the
strangeness and suspicion but at the same time, we also want to be familiar with the characters and
know who they are. We want to be able to relate to the story in some kind of way. Our responses to a
story are conditioned our encounters before with the original ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Foster also talked about how fairytales. The bible, mythology and other literary works are apart of one
big story. My first example the relates to the chapter is the book Beastly written by Alex Flinn which
is based on Beauty and the Beast but in a more modern way. The way this book relates is Kyle (the
beast) is a mean guy who always pulled pranks on people. Until one day he got cursed and then turned
into a hideous beast and the only way to break the spell is to have a girl fall inlove with his beastly
form and kiss him as proof of her love and the curse will be reversed. Another example that relates to
this chapter would be the novel Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. Which is about a boy Pip who
is controlled by Mrs. Joe( evil step mother). He then runs into Magwich (fairy godmother) who
motivates Pip to learn and love Estella

The Revolutionary Pitching Velocity Training Strap
SELLING A NOVEL SPORTS PRODUCT IDEA Introducing the Revolutionary Pitching Velocity
Training Strap! As all baseball fans know, a recent episode of the HBO series Real Sports featured
Seattle Mariners pitcher Steve Delabar whose professional baseball career was unexpectedly revived
by a revolutionary new pitching training technique he had experimented with only for the purpose and
in the context of his high school baseball coaching duties, long after he had resigned himself to the
fact that his major league pitching career had been ended prematurely by a major elbow injury caused
by the physiological stress of pitching. This was the inspiration for my new sports product invention:
the revolutionary Pitching Velocity Training Strap. The program that saved Delabar s career is the
technique developed by youth baseball coach Tom House that has already produced remarkable results
with almost 1,000 school age ball players. Briefly, the innovator realized that one of the main reason
that pitching a baseball is so stressful is that the pitching motion develops only the anterior (front) of
the shoulder muscles and not the posterior (back) shoulder muscles. The new training technique was
inspired by the similarities between the baseball pitching motion and the tennis serving motion. Unlike
baseball pitchers, however, tennis players rarely suffer shoulder injuries. This is because tennis players
hold on to their racquets at the follow through whereas baseball pitchers release

The Roots And Impacts Of Depression
The Roots and Impacts of Depression
Katherine L. Downey
Jefferson Community and Technical College
Abstract
This paper breaks down depression in every aspect. It starts off discussing the biology of depression
by showing what is actually happening on the inside of the body. Then moving on to the symptoms of
depression and what a person with depression might be feeling. These symptoms can also help an
outsider notice someone going through these stages of depression and get them help. There is also a
section that directly discusses three main types of depression. While there are many forms of
depression, knowing a few is very important and can be useful if they can be identified in real life. At
the end of this paper, treatment plans are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Any human, male or female, is prone to the disorder. Nearly one in five people experience a
depressive episode at least once in their life. This paper breaks down depression s impact on the body,
the symptoms, the different forms, and possible treatment for people with this disorder.
Biology of Depression
Studies have shown that three neurotransmitters, norepinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine, can be
associated with the cause and course of the depressive disorder. Even though research is still on going,
the findings are still intriguing (El Mansari et al., 2010; Torrente, Gelenberg, Vrana, 2012). Depression
also seems to be correlated with specific structural features in the brain (Andrus et al., 2012). People
with the depressive disorder may have irregularities in certain areas of the brain, such as: the
amygdala, the prefrontal cortex, and the hippocampus. For example, some regions of the right cortex
show significant thinning in people who face a high risk of developing major depressive disorder
(Peterson et al., 2009). Otherwise, the depressive disorder most likely forms as a result from a
complex interplay of many neural factors. The roots of depression have not been fully clarified yet,
but frequent research is being done to understand what exactly is happening when the body is
undergoing depression.
Symptoms
Common symptoms of depression are:
Feeling sad or hopeless
Reduced pleasure in activities
Substantial loss or gain in

The Guilt Of Premeditated Murder In Edgar Allan Poe s...
True! nervous very, very dreadfully nervous I had been and am; but why will you say that I am mad?
(Poe). In Tell Tale Heart, Edgar Allan Poe illustrates that the narrator has an acute need of the old man
s vulture eye and eventually murders the man on the eighth night. The author highlights the events of
the murder and soon, the narrator confesses to the police of his guilt. As Edgar Allan Poe fabricates
this short story, he enthralls the readers by giving the events specific detail. If Edgar Allan Poe were to
ever continue the story where the narrator would be put on trial, he would be guilty of premeditated
murder. The reason for this is because the narrator cunningly planned the murder, had a motive of
killing the old man, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If the narrator was criminally insane, he wouldn t be deceptively kind to the man everyday before the
night of the murder. Also, some characteristics of criminally insane is that you would lack the mental
capacity, would not know the difference between right and wrong, and finally you wouldn t be able to
control your actions. If the narrator ever lacked the mental capacity, he wouldn t be able to plan out
what he was going to do. From the perspective of the premeditated murder side, he planned out what
he was going to do. For example, if he was criminally insane, he would not be deceptively kind to the
old man, he would just not talk to him for the rest of the week and eventually the old man would
suspect something.
The second reason why he is guilty of premeditated murder is that he had a motive. A motive to
assassinate the old man. In the short story, the author clearly states that he had a motive to kill the old
man. Such as, It is impossible to say how first the idea entered my brain; but, once conceived, it
haunted me day and night. The narrator clearly said that at first, he had the idea to do the deed. When
the narrator had a motive, he decided to make a plan that lasted for about a week. If this was a
premeditated murder, an insane man would not have a motive to kill the man or even thought about it.
The insane man would go and kill the man right

  • 3. A Interview On The Film The Night Of The Eyes As the cheers and enthusiasm came from the roaring crowd, all chanting the word Spice Time, Spice Time! , as the 4 girls with the hidden past stood on the stage receiving the praise of their adoring fans during their final performance of their UK tour. Alice,Rowen, Jessamy and Cressida all recalled the horrible and dreadful night they had endured in their minds as they walk into the interview. The interviewer named Joan Callamezzo had captured the audience s attention with the shocking headline on what had happened to the 5th member of Spice Time, Luna who was also Cressida s younger sister. The story the girls all agreed to give was intact into their minds by management; while in their hometown of Wales, England ,Luna had sadly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The girls had big hopes to land a contract with a management known for discovering young artists like themselves and had taken a vacation on a beach house just outside the green pastures of Wales while waiting to hear back. I can t believe we have a shot of being as famous as the Spice Girls ahhhhhhh screeched the young enthusiastic 16 old girl named Luna Rose. Luna shut up you re embarrassing me you twerp her older 19 year old sister Cressida Rose yelled from the front seat of the beat up car. Cressida s three best friends, Jessamyn Williams(18), Rowen Howell(17), Alice Lester(19) watched in amusement as the two sisters bickered back and forth throughout the whole car ride. An hour later the car finally came to a halt and stood in front a almost Victorian like mansion nothing like your average beach house. This isn t what I pictured , Alice mumbled incoherently to herself. ~3 days later~ As the girls finally got comfortably adjusted into the nonchalant schedule of being stuck inside the house all day due to the typical England weather and their hopes of adventuring were soon diminished with the first drops of rain falling from the abundance of clouds, their ... • 4. The Forest Service Trail Stewardship Act Of 2015 Essay For the purpose of this assignment, I am going to discuss the Forest Service Trail Stewardship Act of 2015, H.R. 845 (the Horse, 2016). The bill was introduced on April 29, 2015 by Cynthia Lummis member of the Republican Party, representing the state of Wyoming and Tim Walz member of the Democratic Party, representing the state of Minnesota. The bill was introduced by the House of Representatives (the Horse, 2015, votesmart, 2016). The Senate Bill 1110 (S.1110), was introduced in bipartisan fashion in the U.S. Senate Bill 1110 (S.1110), (Back Country Horsemen of America, 2016). The bill was then sponsored by BCHA and members of The Wilderness Society and American Horse Council (Back Country Horsemen of America, 2016). The purpose of the bill was to direct the Forest Service to take serval actions regarding trial maintenance backlog that was adversely affecting all trail users on many National Forests at that time, including equestrians (the Horse, 2016, American Horse Council, 2016). The bill would promote volunteerism in the service of National Forest trails (Back Country Horsemen of America, 2016). A study was conducted by the Government Accountability Office in June 2013. The study showed that the Forest Service delayed trail maintenance needs which was over half a billion dollars and only a quarter of the agency s 158,000 miles of trails met the agency standards for maintenance. The delay of the maintenance was resulting in accessibility and other safety issues for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Concept of Freedom an Article by Joel Feinberg Essay While many words throughout the English language can paint a vivid image or idea, the word freedom is perhaps one of the most ambiguous. It is defined as the following: the fact of not being controlled by subject or fate; the power of self determination attributed to will ( Freedom ). Its definition cannot be simplified into one dimension, and its interpretation is completely contextual. The reason that the definition from the Oxford English Dictionary was given prior, was due to its broadness; making it a more well suited definition to describe the concept of freedom. In analyzing freedom, similar words will be discussed, freedom s characteristics described, and examples given, in order to illustrate the word and some of its many uses. ... A conservative may feel outraged by the idea of abortion being legalized, but those supporting it may feel relief for women; knowing they are now free to act with their own bodies accordingly. Freedom evokes different emotions in different instances, and most words cannot achieve that to the same extent that freedom can. Another attribute associated with freedom, as illustrated before, is its versatility. Freedom can not only evoke many emotions, but can have multiple meanings. It can be representative of its synonyms is one sense and its antonyms in another. In the abortion example, the legalization of abortion could be liberating to those who support it, and restrictive to those who believe that it is immoral, unholy, destructive to society, et cetera. In Joel Feinberg s article, The Concept of Freedom, he discusses how the word free, without any context, does not shed any light on what makes something free. According to Feinberg, most general ascriptions of freedom are best understood as elliptical, or abbreviate for some longer expression...we may have to add specifications of what someone is free from, or is free to do, or more precisely who it is whose freedom is at issue (10). Without specifics, people will remain uncertain of what sort of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. John Stuart Mill’s Explanation of the Harm Principle John Stuart Mill s explanation of the harm principle is not as useful as once believed. Although the harm principle does in fact have some logic, it fails to set clear and concise borders regarding what denotes allowable hate speech. The harm principle essentially states that all speech, including hate speech, should be allowed. However, speech that causes a definable harm must be censored. For example, merely offensive speech is allowed; however, the context of the offensive speech in question is important in understanding when to apply Mill s harm principle. The principle has some major flaws, as Mill does not take into consideration the numerous factors that must be examined before deciding whether or not to apply the principle, such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Even if a critique is meaningless, Mill argues that we did our best at attempting to ensure the validity of a claim. We should therefore study all modes and perspectives in which something can be looked at, since our knowledge base depends on subjecting ourselves to alternative viewpoints to know the truth about something. The disagreement and contestation that potentially occurs is what leads to the truth. Furthermore, contrary to the beliefs of certain monarchs during his time, Mill argued that human beings are not infallible; therefore, we can never be certain that anything is definite, because we are not in a position to be judges of certainty (Cahn 443). The usefulness of an opinion is subjective and open to discussion, and due to the fallibility of humans, no individual has the right to stifle the opinion of another, for we can never be certain we are stifling a false opinion (Cahn 461). Even our truest convictions must be tested, Mill argues, because even they can be partly mistaken. However, it may in fact be that our convictions are logical and valid. Mill asserts that even then we must subject ourselves to critics and alternative viewpoints; only then can our convictions become vivid in our mind and character. If our beliefs are not tested, they will become robotic and lifeless. Further, Mill argues that we must not think in black and white, for different positions have value in them and since we are not judges of what is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In power plants, excess neutrons are absorbed by rods to control the rate of reaction. If there is any error, the reaction can quickly get out of control and cause a runaway reaction, creating a meltdown due to excessive heat. By far and beyond, widespread catastrophic meltdowns are the cause of the general public s anxiety when it comes to nuclear power. The most recent major nuclear disaster was at the Fukushima Daiichi Reactor in Fukushima, Japan in 2011 (Simon, 2011). An earthquake triggered tsunami damaged the reactor and caused a meltdown, as well as a massive hydrogen gas explosion. This explosion vented contaminated steam and radioactive material into the plant s surroundings, which eventually made its way to nearby ocean currents, prefectures, and countries. With such a largely publicized recent meltdown, the imminent dangers of containment breaches and meltdowns are still fresh in the public s perception of nuclear power. • 9. How Technology Has Impacted The Way Cities Operate The use of IoT has already impacted the way cities operate. The term smart cities, is used to describe a city that possesses an IoT oriented infrastructure. In a smart city, the digital technologies translate into better public services for inhabitants and better use of resources while reducing environmental impacts . [3] For a smart city to be feasible, IoT must provide intelligence, interconnection, and instrumentation. Wi Fi enabled smart devices and low cost sensors are components of the smart city and allow devices a way to communicate with the public via the internet. These devices collect real time data, which not only improves the lives of residents, but transforms several sectors of public service as well. Transportation has been revolutionized by smart traffic management systems which gather data from an array of magnetic road sensors and hundreds of cameras. The result is less delay at major stop lights and increased travel speeds, because enabled drivers can see which lights are busy and monitor these areas for other vehicles and pedestrians. To lower traffic and driver search times for parking spots, parking sensors that detect parking spaces for drivers are installed in major cities. Street lights use a method of energy saving known as adaptive lighting which enables them to determine their brightness setting, appropriate for a given situation. The smart city solution to conserving energy is through smart girds. A smart grid serves several energy management ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Therefore, the monitoring of PC using in vivo fluorimeters can provide a quick response for the risk assessment and management of cyanotoxins in freshwaters. To account for the inconsistent findings, we have to first understand the inner mechanisms of the effects of optimism on cancer survival rate. Salovey (2000) has proposed various potential casual pathways from dispositional optimism to cancer survival outcomes. One of the potential mediators of optimism and survival outcome might be immune system. In other words, optimism tends to enhance the immune system which in turn enhance cancer survival rate. Indeed, Ah (2007) examines the intimate connections among social support, optimism, and immune response. Napoleon had his own greed that wanted to be popular and did not prefer people to forget his victories by uncompleted invasion, Although he had been given a hero s welcome by the populace he knew that this type of fame was fleeting, and he also recognized that recent French military victories in Holland and Switzerland had somewhat tarnished his own unfinished effort in Egypt. When he made the coup against parliament, Napoleon mentioned the true liberty and the republic. He then transported his spirited oratory to the beautiful gardens and the waiting troops with whose aid the republic would be established. Napoleon called his troops for coup, saying that the real republic finally established. However, people did not consider this action as the republic. One deputy said And the Constitution? You already destroyed the Constitution when you violated it. No one respects it anymore, and the other people said Down with the tyrant. From the successful coup, Napoleon took the most authority in France, but present a bad image . In May 1804, congress ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Most ethnic groups tend to focus on themselves rather than taking into account the international issues that are occurring. With the advancement of society, these groups often stand by their morals instead of trying to engage in new ones and accepting the worldwide conflicts. More often than not, ethnic groups are discriminated against even after the rise of the concept All men are created equal (The Declaration of Independence). Yet, this idea is neglected especially in regards to social status and race. These people have different intentions and repeatedly are being encouraged to blend into American society and leave their values behind. In the past, equality and individual rights were portrayed in an extremely different matter which impacted people s views on freedom today. In today s generation, converging viewpoints make it difficult for an individual to speak their own mind without prejudice. Politics have a huge range of diverse opinions; however, international affairs need to be decided by a nation as a whole. That is that Ferdinand Porsche was at a small extent to blame for the fall of this regime. The evidence is there and should not be neglected. The argument put forth is one that the calibre of Mr Ferdinand Porsche s weapons were far inferior to that of the allies and were not advanced enough. Due to this fault the German regime was deteriorating as they could not fend of their competitors. However these viewpoints are weak and are simply not logical. A man of calibre such as Mr Ferdinand Porsche would not have aided the USSR with weaponry, simply due to his personal relationship to Adolf Hitler and his strong connection to Nazism. The policy is about Freshmen students who are required to take remedial classes since their math or English basic college level aren t good enough. To notice these students that need help ahead of time CSU created the Early Assessment Program . Even though CSU created the voluntary Early Assessment Program, which has an essay and two dozen questions that are included in standardized tests given to juniors, many students didn t pass it. Those students who don t take the Early Assessment Program or aren t qualified will have to take online tutorials and remedial classes which take a year to study. Sadly, there ll be no repeat chances for those students who don t pass their remedial courses. They may have to hire tutors or take courses off campus to gain the basic knowledge they should have received in high school, as the authors said. Large scale props were made with lightweight material to show the comparison between the human and the giant s house. Large brick effect was added to the wall, which made the comparison visible. • 33. Chapter Summary Of Beastly By Alex Flinn Chapter 7 In this chapter I learned what literary canon was. I learned that it is a master of works that are usually studied in college. Writers use elements from kiddie stories to shape their stories. Most of the time this is too complex to put in a text. Foster also talked about how writers we know tend to take the basic fairytales and kiddie stories and add depth to them. We all know for example The Wizard of Oz was turned into Wicked. He also talked about how when reading these type of stories, we want the strangeness and suspicion but at the same time, we also want to be familiar with the characters and know who they are. We want to be able to relate to the story in some kind of way. Our responses to a story are conditioned our encounters before with the original ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Until one day he got cursed and then turned into a hideous beast and the only way to break the spell is to have a girl fall inlove with his beastly form and kiss him as proof of her love and the curse will be reversed. • 35. The Revolutionary Pitching Velocity Training Strap SELLING A NOVEL SPORTS PRODUCT IDEA Introducing the Revolutionary Pitching Velocity Training Strap! As all baseball fans know, a recent episode of the HBO series Real Sports featured Seattle Mariners pitcher Steve Delabar whose professional baseball career was unexpectedly revived by a revolutionary new pitching training technique he had experimented with only for the purpose and in the context of his high school baseball coaching duties, long after he had resigned himself to the fact that his major league pitching career had been ended prematurely by a major elbow injury caused by the physiological stress of pitching. This was the inspiration for my new sports product invention: the revolutionary Pitching Velocity Training Strap. The program that saved Delabar s career is the technique developed by youth baseball coach Tom House that has already produced remarkable results with almost 1,000 school age ball players. Briefly, the innovator realized that one of the main reason that pitching a baseball is so stressful is that the pitching motion develops only the anterior (front) of the shoulder muscles and not the posterior (back) shoulder muscles. The new training technique was inspired by the similarities between the baseball pitching motion and the tennis serving motion. Unlike baseball pitchers, however, tennis players rarely suffer shoulder injuries. This is because tennis players hold on to their racquets at the follow through whereas baseball pitchers release ... Downey Jefferson Community and Technical College Abstract This paper breaks down depression in every aspect. It starts off discussing the biology of depression by showing what is actually happening on the inside of the body. Then moving on to the symptoms of depression and what a person with depression might be feeling. These symptoms can also help an outsider notice someone going through these stages of depression and get them help. There is also a section that directly discusses three main types of depression. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Any human, male or female, is prone to the disorder. Nearly one in five people experience a depressive episode at least once in their life. This paper breaks down depression s impact on the body, the symptoms, the different forms, and possible treatment for people with this disorder. Biology of Depression Studies have shown that three neurotransmitters, norepinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine, can be associated with the cause and course of the depressive disorder. Even though research is still on going, the findings are still intriguing (El Mansari et al., 2010; Torrente, Gelenberg, Vrana, 2012). Depression also seems to be correlated with specific structural features in the brain (Andrus et al., 2012). People with the depressive disorder may have irregularities in certain areas of the brain, such as: the amygdala, the prefrontal cortex, and the hippocampus. For example, some regions of the right cortex show significant thinning in people who face a high risk of developing major depressive disorder (Peterson et al., 2009). Otherwise, the depressive disorder most likely forms as a result from a complex interplay of many neural factors. The roots of depression have not been fully clarified yet, but frequent research is being done to understand what exactly is happening when the body is undergoing depression. Symptoms Common symptoms of depression are: Feeling sad or hopeless Reduced pleasure in activities Substantial loss or gain in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The author highlights the events of the murder and soon, the narrator confesses to the police of his guilt. As Edgar Allan Poe fabricates this short story, he enthralls the readers by giving the events specific detail. Also, some characteristics of criminally insane is that you would lack the mental capacity, would not know the difference between right and wrong, and finally you wouldn t be able to control your actions. If the narrator ever lacked the mental capacity, he wouldn t be able to plan out what he was going to do. From the perspective of the premeditated murder side, he planned out what he was going to do. For example, if he was criminally insane, he would not be deceptively kind to the old man, he would just not talk to him for the rest of the week and eventually the old man would suspect something. The second reason why he is guilty of premeditated murder is that he had a motive. A motive to assassinate the old man.
