The Oracle Financial Cloud Based Upon Multiple Variables
The oracle financial cloud based upon multiple variables that use technology to impact the business
world. Cloud computing is an idea that is increasingly turning into reality for many companies.
Enterprises, both big and small, are evaluating cloud computing and moving IT infrastructure to the
cloud. To achieve the financial goals of the any organization and be prosperous in today s highly
aggressive market; therefore businesses must have services that are secure, reliable, scalable and
available anywhere at any given time, on any device all while it lowers cost and minimizes integration

The need to have a more modern, consumer like experience has raised the bar for most businesses to

Lauryn Hill Figurative Language
Lauryn Hill s poem Motives and Thoughts sheds particular light on the follies of society including
overlooking the evil motives of its leaders and even its citizens through the use of poetic devices and
figurative language. This 51 line poem touches on the subject of conspiracy and requires the reader to
take a look at herself to determine what her motivation is for engaging in types of activity to gain
power or desires and to look at the motives and thoughts of the leaders whom she follows. Hill uses
several poetic devices and figurative language to enhance the meaning of her poem by placing
emphasis on certain words to capture her audience s attention including repetition, rhyme, allusion,
metaphors, paradox, and oxymoron to reveal the central issues of deception while uncovering minor
themes of downfall due to pride and spirituality. Hill uses allusion and metaphors throughout ... Show

For example, the use of oxymoron is evident in the fourth line of Hill s poem when she expresses
...human condition, morals corrupted (Lauryn Hill Motives and Thoughts ). The phrase morals
corrupted is a combination of two contradictory words that have opposite meanings and are used to
emphasize how deceptive the condition of humanity is because their morals or standards to do what is
right are tarnished. In lines 22 and 23 of Hills s poem, she uses paradox to imply a truth behind how
simple men or primitive man can gain higher education or civilized knowledge in a collapsed system
and still fail to recognize the failure (Lauryn Hill Motives and Thoughts ). Hill further illustrates this
willful blindness in lines 26 and 27, which refer to the stiff necked scholars laden with prescription
medication that ... [Wish that] their problems were all in their heads (Lauryn Hill Motives and
Thoughts ). These references work together to demonstrate how blatant denial and pride can
encourage deception and

The Surgeon Dentist Research Paper
An Orthodontist is a specialist in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial
irregularities. It s basically a dentist, but with two extra years of Orthodontic specialty school.
Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry concerned with the prevention of malocclusions, which is the
improper or abnormal alignment of the lower, and upper teeth. Appliances for straightening and
aligning teeth go as far back as the Egyptians. Formal texts about Orthodontics began appearing in the

Right Ventricular Analysis
Right ventricular fractional area change (RVFAC) is the percentage change in RV area between end
diastole and end systole. It is obtained from a four chamber view where the RV end diastolic
(RVEDA) and end systolic areas (RVESA) are measured, and the RVFAC is calculated as follows:
RVFAC (%) = (RVEDA RVESA)/RVEDA (Figure 6B). It has a good correlation with MRI derived
RVEF and was shown to have prognostic significance in patients with myocardial infarction and
pulmonary hypertension (Anavekar et al., 2008). Figure (6): Methods of determining indices of right

The ejection time can be determined from the parasternal short axis view at the pulmonary valve,
while isovolumic intervals are derived based on the tricuspid flow. It was shown to correlate with
radionuclide derived right ventricle ejection fraction (RVEF) (Karnati et al., 2008). Normal values for
MPI are 0.28+0.04, and it usually rises in diseases associated with RV dysfunction (Tei et al., 1996).
Another parameter of contractility is RV dP/dt which is measured using the velocity profile of the
tricuspid regurgitant jet using continuous wave Doppler of the tricuspid regurgitation (TR) jet; dP/dT
is the time interval for the TR velocity to rise from 1 to 2 m/s. Although relatively easy to measure,
RV dP/dT can be dependent on loading conditions and may be less accurate in the setting of severe
TR. Because of lack of normative data, this measure is not recommended for routine use and should
only be used in patients who have suspected RV dysfunction (Rudski et al.,

Relationship Between The Body And The City s Building
The symposium then explored the relationship between the body and the city s building in more depth
with Adam Greenhalgh s paper Body/Building: New York City around 1910. The associate curator of
the National Gallery of Art in Washington presented once more Manhattan as a living body, and his
interpretation of Excavations at night as an autopsy of the city conveys a powerful image of the city
being exposed and vulnerable like Miss Bentham. Mr Greenhalgh confessed that he tends to see the
grim side of Bellows, therefore his interpretation of his paintings does have a darker interpretation as
he desires to seek for a deeper and darker meaning than just the simple representation of a reality. His

Arguably Marin suffers the influences of the European futurists who are just emerging in Europe
during this period, which can imply that Bellows, like other Ashcanners and the French
Impressionists, did involuntarily start the concept of dynamism and its application in their paintings.
From the macabre description of New York and some of his inhabitants and the thermodynamic of
some of Bellows paintings, the symposium proceeded under a different note that still analysed the
body in relation to movement, in particular the female body in commercial art. Professor Jennifer
Greenhill presented her paper Commercial Illustration s Immaterial Bodies which focused on the
commercial artist Coles Phillips and this imagery for the mass press where design is vital to attract any
potential buyers. It was illuminating to discover this artist and some of his most characteristic works
created with a fade away technique where the body of women disappears in the background so
dematerialising their bodies. Prof Greenhill provided an excellent overview of the artist as well as his
technique and showed many eye catching images that are still incredibly powerful in terms of graphic
and design. Coles Phillips was a lawyer, a painter, but most importantly a graphic designer and his
preferred technique was the watercolour; his pictorial technique consists in

Coming To America Passage Analysis
Welcoming. Belonging. Sense of Purpose. Everyone wants that. Without it we feel naked, incomplete.
Ultimately, it is what mankind really strives for. While food, water, and shelter are important, there is
no purpose to life without that sense of belonging. Kao and her family never really felt belonged
anywhere, and they struggled to feel a sense of purpose in their home .
My favorite passage in the book, is when Kao is telling her story of her adjustment of coming to
America. This passage is part of the third section of the book, The American Years. In the section, Kao
and her family had just arrived in their new tiny home in Saint Paul, Minnesota. While they had
training of what to expect from America, it did not prepare them well enough for what was to come.

In the passage, Kao says, For the first year and a half, we wanted to be invisible (112). This is my
favorite passage because it is really jaw dropping to see that after all Kao and her family had been
through they wanted to stay invisible in America for the first year and a half that they were afraid of
being who they are, Hmong. Back in their old home they were accustomed to frequent bombings,
disease, malnourishment, and so much physical pain. But here, their biggest fear being in the US is the
hatred and racism that is targeted on them. Day after day it s a struggle for Kao s family. For many
immigrants, America has always been projected as the Golden Gate . A place where one would no
longer struggle for their family and if you worked hard enough one can accomplish anything.
Malnourishment, clean air, and safety would no longer keep you up at night. And at the start of Kao s
American journey, it was hard to see if any positive opportunity would arise. But it would, as they
didn t let the hard work or racism get to them. Kao s parents would

OP Sec Working Title
Operational security is an extremely important part of our everyday lives while in a deployed
enviroment. This fact is amplified that much more when the deployment includes being stationed in a
country where the enemy could go undetected, as our foes do not wear a uniform. In a war where there
is no front, and as part of our out reach with the citizens of the country that we are occupying, it would
be incredibily easy for our enimes to merge themselves into our everyday dealings. With that
knowledge, it becomes ever more imnportant to maintain a hold of items that could easily be aquired
by our foes. These items include papers, documents, unlocked computers, and identification cards. If

The easiest solution to preventing an unprepared operational security hit, aside from maintaining
proper operational security is by reporting the incident as soon as it becomes known and by not
obstructing any inquires made into the infraction. If the knowledge of an unintentinal security breach
is made aware to the proper channels, the necesary steps in prevention can occur. Being prepared
helps to reduce significant amounts of damages that can be done if left otherwise unprepared, and
unknowledgable of any of the specifics of the nature of the breach of security. With that being said, it
is without a doubt not the best course of action to keep such things in house , or attempt to cover up
infrindgments of opperational security. By attempting to cover up an event as significant as an
operational security breach, one can also infrindge on the Army Values. The army values are a guide

Bear true faith and allegiance to the U.S. constitution, the Army, and other soldiers. Be loyal to the

Gender Expectations In Ancient Mythology
In our current world, gender expectations apparent in our society be traced back to ancient mythology.
Women of today find inspiration in beauty and fashion often unknowingly form ancient cultures.
Similarly, popular masculine attributes are relatable to the myths of heroes and important gods. Basing
current social standards upon mythological texts however creates problems. In striving to achieve such
physical greatness people of this era are attempting to reach the impossible: to become a god or
goddess of immortal standards themselves. By relating ancient myths to that of the current media, one
can view the effect that the ancient world has upon the social standards apparent in our society today.

If they, or at the minimum their leader does not fit into the standard and accepted body standards, then
they are overlooked. Hephaestus, the Greek god of smithing fits into this category with his lame leg.
Other than his leg, Hephaestus is often described and pictured as a fit and athletic looking male. As
Homer writes in the Iliad, Hephaestus had a massive neck and hairy chest and his shrunken legs
moved lightly beneath him ( Hephaestus ). This description makes Hephaestus appear as a strong man
whose disability is apparent but does not fully take away his immortality. Similarly, characters in
superhero stories with the unusual attribute of being overweight are frowned upon by society.
Superheroine Big Bertha, otherwise known as the Ample Amazon uses her overweight characteristic
to fight evil; her large size makes her bulletproof and gives her immense strength ( Overweight
Superheroes and Supervillains. ). However, Bertha s large size is only apparent during her heroic
adventures in the comic world. During her regular life, she is a slim figured supermodel who is

Sports Gambling Research Paper
On January 1st of 1993, the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act was signed to prevent
people from gambling on collegiate and professional sporting events. There has been a fury amongst
sports fans ever since because of this law. In some cases, it has even became known as the prohibition
of the 21st century. Over the last few years, there has been a strong urge about bringing back sports
gambling. There would actually be many benefits to bringing it back. The pros of sports gambling
include casino income, tax reduction, job openings, and entertainment value. Sports betting would
benefit many casinos and city governments. When sports gambling was banned, there was a decrease
in income at many casinos. With that being said, when the casinos are not bringing in money for a
city, it just means that the city officials are going to turn to its residents to bring in money via higher
taxes. At this day in age, taxes are sky high in price and people are barely able to pay them anymore.
With sports betting back in the casinos in these cities, these issues could be fixed. Sports betting
would be beneficial in terms of job openings. If sports gambling was legal again and it was back in
many casinos, that would bring a decent increase in jobs available. Many people around the country

Throughout the film, Bar Lev introduces important key factors, like Sandusky s adopted son and

researchers and historians involved with Penn State. Bar Lev has them open up about their thoughts

Governmental Agencies and Terrorism
After the 9/11 attacks the word terrorism became etched in the worlds vocabulary. The word Terrorism
immediately brings up images of bombings and hooded figures making demands on a home video.
But when organizations tasked with defending against the treat of terrorism, begin to shape their
operations, it also shape tire definition. The gathering and analysis of intelligence is the driving force
in the Central Intelligence agency (CIA). So much so that it s right in the name. So when the CIA
begins working on the definition of terrorism, it uses that mission as a driving facture. The CIA
describes terrorism as premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant
targets by subnational groups or clandestine agents (n.d., para. 6). This is a simple characterization
because this is exactly what they are looking for. That part of the description illustrates the specific
types of acts the organizations looking to prevent. Because of its mission it also adds the definition of
international terrorism as terrorism involving the territory or the citizens of more than one country and
terrorist groups as, any group that practices, or has significant subgroups that practice, international
terrorism (n.d., para. 6). These add ons highlight the scope of the organization. Unlike the FBI s
definition that has heaver legal implications or the State departments which is used for political
purposes, the CIA uses its definition to focus its operations.

On the end of the thick fly line what is called a leader and tippet is attached. As clarified by Clint
Loose in his article Fly Fishing Leader and Tippet: What, Why, and How the fly fishing leader and
tippet are what provide a nearly invisible transition from the fly line to the fly. (Loose) Aside from the
advances in fly line, the material used to manufacture rods has changed drastically. What was once
bamboo, today the most common material for fly fishing rods is carbon graphite fiber, although
bamboo rods are still made for connoisseurs of tradition. Dave Pellar prefers the new school rods and
enjoys taking advantage of the latest techniques. In modern day fly fishing, flies have adapted from
feathers on a hook to complex designs using feathers, foam, wire, beads, and various other materials.
Although there are countless versions, the main distinction of flies is dry or wet. Dry flies float on the
surface of the water and resemble a freshly downed bug while wet flies sit below the surface and
resemble a submerged bug floating downstream. It is safe to say that the wide variety of potential
techniques and the complexity of the sport is partially responsible for Dave s love for it. All trout
anglers have their own personal techniques but some are well known. For example many strategic
fisherman will observe what flies have been hatching at that time and they will match their artificial
fly to the hatch that is currently occurring. Aside from

at the elementary schools in the northwest corridor of Bellevue. Although Wilburton will provide
relief for certain schools in Bellevue, it isn t a viable long term solution for another highly populated
region, Somerset. The regions surrounding Somerset has one of the largest populations under 18 at
24.27%, and a potential to rise even higher, hence the high enrollment numbers in the south corridor
of Bellevue. The proposed elementary school* would be able to reduce enrollment numbers in

The proposed school would also incorporate students of varying academic proficiency, with three
original elementary schools ranking in the top 5 of Bellevue, while one representing the lower half of

Emily Dickinson s Poem, Because I Could Not Stop For Death
Death is everywhere. From the insect you killed this morning to the family member you lose recently,
there is no force stronger than death. Emily Dickinson, a 19th century writer, indulges that fact but
also goes beyond it in her work. Dickinson revisits the theme of death in her poetry. Through her
work, she shows readers her fascination with death the emotions associated with it. In I heard a Fly
buzz when I died and I ve seen a Dying Eye , Dickinson shows us a very intimate view of a person
dying. The poem Because I could not stop for Death shows readers the journey to eternity after death
and The Bustle in a House shows readers what happens to a family after death. These four poems by
Emily Dickinson all share a central theme of death and give readers a very personal understanding of
it. Emily Dickinson was born and educated in Massachusetts. She only remained in college for one
year but still produced volumes of poetry. She was very introverted and towards the end of her life,
she only wore white. Her poetry, as stated by the Academy of American Poets, reflects her loneliness
and the speakers of her poems generally live in a state of want, but her poems are also marked by the
intimate recollection of inspirational moments which are decidedly life giving and suggest the
possibility of happiness ( Emily Dickinson. ). However, her works were never published while she
was alive. After her death her family found 800 poems or 40 hand bound volumes ( Emily

The Difference Between Moral Permissibility And Legal...
4) When justifying medical procedures, it is important to acknowledge the difference between moral
permissibility and legal permissibility. This difference is evident in the three medical procedures that
end patient s lives: physician assisted suicide (PAS), voluntary active euthanasia (VAE) and passive
euthanasia. PAS is when a physician intentionally and knowingly prescribes lethal drugs to a patient
intending to commit suicide. VAE is when a physician administers a lethal injection to kill a voluntary,
informed patient upon request. Passive euthanasia is when a physician withholds treatment and leaves
the patient to die. It is commonly thought for passive euthanasia to be ethically permissible, but not for
PAS and VAE. This is because it is never permissible for a physician to take direct action to kill the
patient. Although in both PAS and VAE, physicians play an active role in bringing about the death of a
patient, the patient ultimately kills himself in PAS and the physician ultimately kills the patient in
VAE. Regarding moral permissibility, I find that humaneness of treatment and compatibility with
physicians moral obligations provide convincing arguments for accepting PAS and VAE as moral
medical practices. However, the difference in patient s self determination makes PAS a more morally
justifiable medical practice. Furthermore, the difference in the ultimate causal agent of death creates
legal complications and greater possibility for abuse for VAE. Thus, I also

Triple Entente Outline
The First World War began in the summer of 1914 and lasted until the end of November 1918. It is the
result of long standing tensions between the European powers. It ended with the defeat of the Central
Powers and cost about 17 million lives.
In the First World War the Triple Entente and the Central Powers had to face each other. The Triple
Entente is a military alliance between France, England and Russia. This developed from the Entente
cordiale (cordial agreement), which was an alliance between England and France. In addition to
colonial questions, the power of the German Empire, which sought a world power policy under the
program of the New Course under Wilhelm II, was also to be restricted. Above all, the United
Kingdom saw its role as a naval power endangered by the naval construction program. Later in 1917
the United States entered the war ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thereupon the Austrian and Russian forces were mobilized and, after some unsuccessful attempts by
the German government to prevent the coming war, the German Reich Government declared war on 1
August, then France a few days later.
The war was extremely costly for all nations and was a great burden for the populations. As a result,
hunger was felt in Germany in the winter season of 1916/17. In Russia, the poor supply situation and
dissatisfaction caused a liberal revolution, which forced the tsar to step down; but this government
also held fast to the war and did not care about the needs of the people. In consequence Lenin, with
the help of the Supreme Command of the Army, succeeded in returning from his Swiss exile and
gaining the war torn population. In the following November revolution, the Bolsheviks take power
and, in the peace of Brest Litovsk, also accept bad conditions for peace.
But the success of Germans in the East cannot continue in the West. On November 11, 1918,
Americans defeated the Central Powers of Germany Austia Hungary, and the war came to an

Discussion Questions
1. Suppose the price of coffee beans increases by $0.20 per pound. What is the effect of this raw
material price increase on the demand for roasted coffee? If one pound produces 50 cups of coffee,
would the price of a cup of coffee rising by $0.01? Explain.
Price of the product comes from the production of the goods all the way till it hits the market shelf. So
when the price of the product like coffee increases during the productivity of the product then the end
cost could increase too. Changes of the productivity can increase by changes in technology and human
capital. This allows the production of the products to become better managed by managers because it

For companies that lower the price it s okay for them to increase the prices wants the economy is back
to a recovery state. Consumers will not hold it against the company for increases the prices because
they know that when times get tough they will do what they can to help each customer out by
lowering the prices again.
Companies slashing prices to maintain a marker share is okay because they will do what they can to
stay ahead of the competition. Market shares are a part of the company s financial support. When
customers by the shares in a company they are investing in that company for the long haul and hoping
to make some extra money along the way. When they lower prices it draws customers to their
company name because they want to get a better deal then they possible are at the company they at.
On the flip side is that a company lowering their prices could mean that they have increased the price
because they want to get more profits. This could cause concern by customers that the company has
more room to move the price down because they have just increased it over time because they wanted
profits and might not know what the bottom price really is.

Greasy Lake By Tom Boyle
The short story Greasy Lake by Tom Boyle is about a young man and his friends who thought they
were some real bad characters. The main character and his two friends got into a series of events that
started with almost killing a young man for no reason, to almost raping a young woman which made
them reconsider how they wanted to live the rest of their adolescent life. During that night, the
narrator underwent a series of events that caused the destruction of his mom s car and the shattering
his self image. Throughout the short story Greasy Lake , you can find points that Boyle s use of the
first person colors the story in some situations while causing bias views to show though in others. The
narrator s use of the first person is use to create an idea of a bond between the friends, and he uses the
term we throughout the story to point out that the group was together through it all. In the beginning
of the story the narrator tells is that the gang of friends had went two nights without doing anything
interesting. Then, the third night Whatever it was we were looking for, we weren t going to find it at
greasy lake. Not that night. (295). This short quote shows me that the narrator was trying to tell us that
everything that was about to happen from that point on was a group decision. Also, to further
elaborate, I found the repetition of the word we to be a point of emphasis to try to negate some of the
future consequences of his actions to his friends despite

Jurors can sometimes be easily influenced by the slightest gesture from the court. Whether it be a nod
of the head, a smile, a frown, or a spoken word. In a criminal jury trial, like all human beings, judges
develop certain beliefs about the defendant s guilt or innocence. Sometimes these beliefs often
conveyed as self fulfilling prophecies are communicated by subtle, nonverbal behaviors that influence
the appearance of fairness and actual justice in the courtroom. Judges do all kinds of things when they
are presiding over trials that are not really good, and that could lead toward this tendency of depriving
individuals of fair trials because of their body language and what they are communicating to jurors

The Contributions of Isaac Newton Essays
Isaac Newton was born in Lincolnshire, on December 25, 1642. He was educated at Trinity College in
Cambridge, and resided there from 1661 to 1696 during which time he produced the majority of his
work in mathematics. During this time New ton developed several theories, such as his fundamental
principles of gravitation, his theory on optics otherwise known as the Lectiones Opticae, and his work
with the Binomial Theorem. This is only a few theories that that Isaac Newton contributed to the
world of mathematics. Newton contributed to all aspects of mathematics including geometry, algebra,
and physics. Isaac Newton was born into a poor farming family in 1642 with no father. Newton s

Later he read and mastered Oughtred s Clavis, and Descartes Geometry, which led him to take up
mathematics rather than chemistry as a serious study.
As a result of the Plague, from 1665 threw 1666 Newton had spent a great deal of time at home.
During this time it seems evident that a great deal of his best work was accomplished. He thought out
the fundamental principles of his theory of gravitation. He determined that every particle of matter
attracts every other particle. Yet he suspected that the attraction varied depending on the product of
their masses. He suspected that the force, which retained the moon in its orbit around the earth, was
the same as the terrestrial gravity. And to prove this hypothesis he proceeded by doing this. He knew
that if a stone wall were allowed to fall near the surface of the earth, the attraction of the earth caused
the stone wall to move though sixteen feet in one second.
The moon s orbit relative to the earth is nearly a circle, and as a rough approximation assuming so, he
knew the distance of the moon, and therefore the length of its path. He also knew the time it took the
moon to go around the earth once, a month. Therefore Newton could find its veloisty at any point such
as M. Then he could find the distance MT through which it would move in the next second if it were
not pulled by the earth s attraction. At the end of the second it was at

Women in Heart of Darkness
In Conrad s Heart of Darkness, the portrayal of women takes a backwards step and is reverted back to
the primitive, more demeaning viewpoint. Conrad employs characters that reflect the archaic
perspectives concerning women. The main character, Marlow, generalizes all women and depicts
every woman as living in a dream like state merely going through the motions of life.
His five women characters were kept unnamed and their speech limited, highlighting the belittlement
of women in the male dominated society. Thus, Conrad offered no advancement to the cause of
women by following convention and minimizing the agency of females through the creation of two
separate, engendered spheres.
Depicting women as unnatural entities, voiceless and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Only the men of the story know the whole likeness of Kurtz. Thus, Marlow s lie is not as heroic as it
appears at first read but is really designed to maintain the brotherhood of males the bond that links
Marlow to Kurtz even in death.
Only one woman sees the transformation of men removed from civilization. Conrad presents Kurtz s
mistress with more powerful language than any other woman in the novella. As savage and superb and
ominous and stately, she inspires immediate attention from all around her, but she is a silent presence
and therefore not able achieve true agency unlike her lover, whose greatest attribute is his voice. Even
voiceless, however, she remains a force of her own. The reader can easily understand why Kurtz took
this splendid woman as his mistress by Marlow s description, but Kurtz s attraction to the exotic other
ultimately proves fatal.
The native woman is like the wilderness itself, and like the wilderness, she cannot be tamed and only
serves to fracture Kurtz s self control. The simple affair turns south for Kurtz because the vegetation
of female menace breaks the homosocial bonds keeping Kurtz from losing himself in the freedom of
the jungle. By taking a mistress, he crosses the boundary between the worlds of men and women and
loses the stability of brotherhood bonds, ultimately causing his sordid demise.

The Effect Of White Privilege
Before I modify or add to Mcintosh s daily effects of white privilege, I think it important to explain
the view point that I was brought up in. This is not intended to be racial, as some could turn it into but
I think that my perspective as a 55 year old white male raised in southeastern Ohio needs to be
considered. I lived through the 1960 2, and went to school with only 1 back family in my high school.
I never saw or heard of any of that black family having any type of problems in anyway. I was never
around any people of color until I was in the work force, where I found myself around all people of
color. I wanted to get to know them and made many friends with all I came into contact with. I have
never seen with my own eyes any type of discrimination ever. Although I have family who have
worked for companies that use affirmative action. They have watched as people got hired because of
color, and then took advantage of it. They would sleep on the job, and not do their assigned work, just
because they knew that the company would not fire them in order for the company to maintain a
certain level of minorities , both people of color, and women. And if you were both a women and a

hard, it is difficult to understand and practice, but the basic things to know about Alchemy are: what it
is, where it came from and how it is used today. Alchemy s official definition is: a philosophical and
protoscience that nature had secrets to give and that they could be revealed through laboratory
examination and experimentation. So it is a science before the modern scientific method and is related
to the understanding of reality and existence. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Chemistry is the study of composition, structure, properties and change of matter. Chemistry differs
from Alchemy because it follows the scientific method as well as alchemy also had a philosophical
side, Hermetic Alchemy. However Alchemy is still used today. A part of modern day Alchemy is
radioactivity and nuclear reactions. Inside nuclear reactors elements like Uranium are being
transmuted into Iodine or Plutonium. The process is to use radioactivity to decay stable substances.
Now a way to make a transmutation of gold is with mercury. However it is unable to be used with a
nuclear reactor so instead a particle accelerator is used. A particle accelerator used electromagnetic
fields to accelerate a proton, an electron, or a sub atomic particle. However this process takes time and
lots of energy so using it as an economical way of producing gold is not recommended. Alchemy is
not a dead science; it goes by new names like Chemistry or

Justice, Power, And Human Nature By Thucydides And The...
May the Best Man (or Woman) Win
In fifth century BC Greece, writers and philosophers were dedicating their entire lives to figuring out
the world around them; consequently, many distinct thoughts have been recorded regarding
overlapping concepts. For example, in the works, Antigone by Sophocles, On Justice, Power, and
Human Nature by Thucydides, and The Republic by Plato, there have been different accounts of the
definition and significance of justice. Each work is significant to western civilization because it is
applicable to the same society after all these years. The importance of justice takes on different roles
and can affect people in different ways. The best person in these works will be the one who portrays
justice in the most valuable way to the current society. That being said, reading about Antigone and
Creon showed how justice shaped their futures. The blurred lines of who was in the right and who was
in the wrong demonstrates that justice is subjective and affects people different based on their own
personal values. That is the best portrayal of justice among the three works because it makes justice
relatable and valid.
Sophocles Antigone is a Greek tragedy that transcends 5th century BC Greece due to its complex
analysis of justice and integrity. In the case of Antigone and Creon, it is not clear who in the end is
suffering from injustice. In Creon s defense, Antigone is the one committing unjust acts according to
Theban law. As the king of Thebes, it

A Energy Source For The State Of Florida
Purpose
The purpose of this report is to inform you of a suitable energy source to meet the projected demands
of the state of Florida for the next ten years. I recommend a hybrid plant that uses both solar energy
and natural gas. I am certain that a hybrid plant is the most suitable energy source for the State of
Florida for the next 10 years.
Statistics
Florida s Statistics
Florida Public Service Commission reports that as of 2014, natural gas generates 58.89%, or the
majority of Florida s energy (2). Coal is the second most prevalent type of energy generation in
Florida, according to Florida Public Service Commission, generating 21.33% of the state s energy (2).
Nuclear power generates 12.43% of Florida s energy (Florida Public Service Commission 2). Energy
generation by oil and renewable fuel types are nearly nonexistent, together these sources only generate
1.6% of Florida s energy (Florida Public Service Commission 2). Finally, according to the Florida
Public Service Commission, other sources only generate 5.75% of the state s energy (2).
Florida Public Service Commission forecasts from current trends that by 2024 the use of
environmentally harmful energy sources such as coal, nuclear power, and oil will decrease (2). The
use of natural gas is forecasted to rise to generate 64.73% of Florida s energy (Florida Public Service
Commission, 2). According to the forecast by Florida Public Service Commission, the use of other
sources to generate energy will also decrease

Making A Murderer, Directed By Laura Ricciardi And Moira...
Steven Avery, a family man, a victim of injustice and an accused murderer. One may have reasoned
that his murder conviction was a crime of passion, due to the injustice Steven suffered from his 1985
false conviction of rape and assault, but that may have been before his story caught national attention.
A documentary, Making a Murderer , directed by Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos, arose from his
story s infamy. With this documentary came numerous questions as to Avery s possible innocence, but
above all else answers that shed light on a possibly corrupt justice system that appears intent on
framing Steven Avery for Teresa Halbach s murder. Making a Murderer effectively portrays a message
of the injustice of Steven Avery s murder conviction and possible corruption within the Manitowoc s
justice system through the use of footage and accounts from people who were involved with his
conviction.
Making a Murderer starts with Avery s exoneration of the conviction of rape and assault of Penny
Beerntsen. Consistently, Steven Avery asserted that he was innocent and that he had an alibi.
Regardless of his assertions he spent 18 years, of a 32 year sentence, in prison before he was finally
found innocent by DNA evidence and was released. Reasonably, Avery pursued a $36 million lawsuit
against the Manitowoc County for his wrongful conviction. Consequently, this lawsuit made Avery an
enemy of the county. When Teresa Halbach, an AutoTrader magazine photographer, was reported

Love Not Legalism By Madeleine L Engle
Love Not Legalism
Madeleine L Engle was a fierce thought provoking writer. She challenged me as both a believer and a
writer. Her scatterbrained writing style was relatable to me and so were the things she talked about.
She would have been a wonderful wise woman to grab a meal with. She did not shy away from
controversial topics; but instead, she introduced them. In Walking on Water L Engle sought to share
the freedom available to us if we allow Jesus Christ to break us free from our chains.
One of the topics that L Engle humbly addressed was the topic of legalism. I greatly appreciated this
because I find that many world renowned leaders shy away from talking about it, when in reality it
may be one of the enemy s most disguised tools. When people see God as an unapproachable killjoy, it
becomes natural to grow distant from Him, and I know that before becoming a Christian this was the
biggest stumbling block for me and I know some of the most kindhearted people cannot grasp the fact
that God loves them and that He sent His one and only son to save them. L Engle also tackled the
major misconception that God does not know how to laugh. He created humor and is pretty humorous
himself. George MacDonald said, It is the Heart that is not yet sure of its God that is afraid to laugh in
His presence (131). I am learning that more and more every day. The common trait that my most
joyful friends share is confidence in God s love for them. A relationship with God has so

Banana Yoshimoto comparative essay
Garber 1 Dylan Garber Ms. Ursula Misztal The Contemporary Short Story May 6th, 2013 How
Banana Yoshimoto Brings The Unconscious to Life in Newlywed and Helix Banana Yoshimoto
effectively portrays various common themes and motifs in both Helix and Newlywed , in revealing the
subconscious state of mind of the respective protagonists. Although the storylines are quite different,
we get the feeling that many themes and strategies such as isolation, incredible poetic effect, and the
recurring use of a helper figure used to develop the characters, are relatively interchangeable. These
literary patterns allow for the protagonists to both escape the shallowness that plagues them, and bring
to light the deeper meaning behind their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This dramatization brings the reader to the realization that the protagonist s stream of consciousness
narration is very unpredictable, yet will ultimately lead to his ability to expose his true feelings as the
story develops. The author clearly likes to represent this feeling of indecision with poetic illustration
as it is used several times in both stories. In Newlywed , the narrator vividly describes his mixed
feelings toward his wife, Atsuko, during the peak of his epiphany like experience: For me, the
beautiful, all encompassing web spun by this creature is at once so polluted, yet so pure that I feel
compelled to grab on to it. I am terrified by it but find myself unable to hide from it. At some point I
have been caught up in the magical power she has. (Newlywed, 16) Banana doesn t strictly limit her
poetic language to the story s character development; she also uses it to depict specific moods in order
to contextualize certain situations that shake up the intensity of the story itself. Coincidentally, in both
Helix and Newlywed , the feeling of isolation is commonly portrayed throughout both stories with the
unique use of grandiose language. This allows the protagonists to avoid any outside

The Importance Of Teaching A Past Lesson
One of the greatest aspects of teaching is having the opportunity to engage with students. Engaging in
the practice requires that teachers are constantly reflecting and wondering how they can better
enhance their performance. This is often done through reflecting on past lessons as well as actively
seeking appropriate leadership roles and opportunities. Effective teachers are master reflectors who
always understand how their actions contribute to the success of their students, their families and their
communities. Effective teachers are also sure that they are using their reflections and new knowledge
to inform their practice. In addition to reflecting on their own practice, new teachers are always
reading to collaborate with superiors or colleagues in order to gain new and innovative information.
My first piece of evidence I have included for Standard 9 is an analysis of a past lesson. In the
analysis, I carefully reflect on the effects my choices and actions in the classroom have impacted my
students. Despite how passionately teachers may feel about engaging with students, it is important that
we are constantly wondering how we can improve our performance in the classroom. Little that
happens in the classroom happens for no reason. Constant reflection allows for teachers and students
alike to understand how classroom interactions can become more meaningful. In addition to my lesson
analysis, I have also included a lesson plan and its subsequent reflection. The lesson

Recycling Program Clean The World Organization
Protecting the environment has always been one of the hottest issues of the society. Especially for the
hospitality industry, where natural resources are one of the important elements for ensuring
sustainable development. Recycling not only helps protect the environment, it also help hotels reduce
in wastage, expenses,... and enhance the hotel s image. The article on the USATODAY talk about the
recycling soap program run by Clean The World organization and there are many hotels taking part in
the program. This essay will illustrate the positive, negative and how this can affect the hotel image.
Recycling program of Clean The World, contribute positive solutions to the recycling process of
hotels, helps protecting the environment and people life in present and the future. Not only the
hospitality industry but also for all other industry in the world, the responsible they have for the
society in general and for the environment particularly are very important. It brings great influence to
the image of the business to the public, especially since the customer will based on the company s
reputation to make the decision. Jennifer Silberman, corporate responsibility chief at the Hilton
Worldwide said, it is one of those programs that when you tell consumers about it, it will drive a
favorable reputation (Barbara DeLollis, More hotels recycle left behind toiletries, USATODAY).
Particularly for hotels to participate in an ethical program like this will helps to develop the image of a

Analysis Of Jacques Derrida s The Post Card
I would prefer not to. Bartleby In one of the final post cards in his book, The Post Card, Jacques
Derrida provides his readers with a short philosophical discussion for your distraction, he says. It goes
like this: What is it, a destination? There where it arrives. So then everywhere that it arrives there was
a destination? Yes. But not before? No. That s convenient, since if it arrives there, it is that it was
destined to arrive there. But then one can only say so after the fact? When it has arrived, it is indeed
the proof that it had to arrive, and arrive there, at its destination. But before arriving, it is not destined,
for example it neither desires nor demands any address? There is everything that arrives where it ...

Allow me to present a slight tangent . . . an example from modern science that might prove
illuminating. Consider Heisenberg s uncertainty principle. Written one way (the Oxford English
Dictionary way) it states that certain pairs of observables (e.g. the momentum and position of a
particle, the energy and lifetime of a quantum level) cannot both be precisely and simultaneously
known, and that as one of any pair is more exactly defined, the other becomes more uncertain. In the
example of particles: as the precision of the measurement of position (momentum) increases, the
measurement of momentum (position) becomes more indeterminate. It is a struggle between
opposites. This has two implications (probably more, but we ll leave it at two): one epistemological
and one ontological. First, that there are restrictions to the amount of information that we can gather
from systems of observables, and that perhaps the methods we use to describe such systems are
insufficient. Second, that for all systems of observables any closed system there can be no definite
value for all sets of observables at the same time. For example, in the case of the particle, it is
impossible to calculate a definite value for both position and momentum simultaneously. What s this
got to do with texts? Well, what if texts behave like particles, that is, always uncertain? The

The Legal Rules Of Equity
Introduction.
Equity by its nature is a fluid subject where maxims are simply guidelines to be used or ignored at the
whim of the court and solutions to litigation sometimes aim at justice (or expedience) at the expense
of the legal rules of equity (equity will [sometimes] follow the law).
This is illustrated by the two overarching maxims where equity will not assist a volunteer and equity
will not perfect an imperfect gift when in practise there are established systems of equity which often
do assist a volunteer and under the very flexible principle of benevolent construction the courts often
do perfect an imperfect gift. This is the case even where it appears to directly contradict common law
such as that from Bridge LJ in Paul v Constance .
Into this fluid area of the law is imposed the common law in the premise of this essay from Turner LJ
in Milroy v Lord : There are three modes of making a gift and these modes are mutually exclusive (1)
An outright transfer of the legal title to the property (2) A transfer of the legal title to the property to a
trustee to hold or (3) A self declaration of trust.
This essay will look towards the cases and academic comment discussing this premise and the further
recognised areas where equity does assist a volunteer and will perfect an imperfect gift and will
conclude that it is difficult to state with any certainty that anything is mutually exclusive in equity and
trusts.
Discussion.
The overview of this discussion is that there does

Lauryn Hill Figurative Language Lauryn Hill s poem Motives and Thoughts sheds particular light on the follies of society including overlooking the evil motives of its leaders and even its citizens through the use of poetic devices and figurative language. This 51 line poem touches on the subject of conspiracy and requires the reader to take a look at herself to determine what her motivation is for engaging in types of activity to gain power or desires and to look at the motives and thoughts of the leaders whom she follows. Hill uses several poetic devices and figurative language to enhance the meaning of her poem by placing emphasis on certain words to capture her audience s attention including repetition, rhyme, allusion, metaphors, paradox, and oxymoron to reveal the central issues of deception while uncovering minor themes of downfall due to pride and spirituality. From the insect you killed this morning to the family member you lose recently, there is no force stronger than death. Emily Dickinson, a 19th century writer, indulges that fact but also goes beyond it in her work. Dickinson revisits the theme of death in her poetry. Through her work, she shows readers her fascination with death the emotions associated with it. In I heard a Fly buzz when I died and I ve seen a Dying Eye , Dickinson shows us a very intimate view of a person dying. The poem Because I could not stop for Death shows readers the journey to eternity after death and The Bustle in a House shows readers what happens to a family after death. These four poems by Emily Dickinson all share a central theme of death and give readers a very personal understanding of it. Emily Dickinson was born and educated in Massachusetts. She only remained in college for one year but still produced volumes of poetry. She was very introverted and towards the end of her life, she only wore white. Her poetry, as stated by the Academy of American Poets, reflects her loneliness and the speakers of her poems generally live in a state of want, but her poems are also marked by the intimate recollection of inspirational moments which are decidedly life giving and suggest the possibility of happiness ( Emily Dickinson. ). • 19. The Difference Between Moral Permissibility And Legal... 4) When justifying medical procedures, it is important to acknowledge the difference between moral permissibility and legal permissibility. This difference is evident in the three medical procedures that end patient s lives: physician assisted suicide (PAS), voluntary active euthanasia (VAE) and passive euthanasia. PAS is when a physician intentionally and knowingly prescribes lethal drugs to a patient intending to commit suicide. VAE is when a physician administers a lethal injection to kill a voluntary, informed patient upon request. Passive euthanasia is when a physician withholds treatment and leaves the patient to die. It is commonly thought for passive euthanasia to be ethically permissible, but not for PAS and VAE. This is because it is never permissible for a physician to take direct action to kill the patient. Although in both PAS and VAE, physicians play an active role in bringing about the death of a patient, the patient ultimately kills himself in PAS and the physician ultimately kills the patient in VAE. Regarding moral permissibility, I find that humaneness of treatment and compatibility with physicians moral obligations provide convincing arguments for accepting PAS and VAE as moral medical practices. However, the difference in patient s self determination makes PAS a more morally justifiable medical practice. Furthermore, the difference in the ultimate causal agent of death creates legal complications and greater possibility for abuse for VAE. Thus, I also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Companies slashing prices to maintain a marker share is okay because they will do what they can to stay ahead of the competition. Market shares are a part of the company s financial support. When customers by the shares in a company they are investing in that company for the long haul and hoping to make some extra money along the way. When they lower prices it draws customers to their company name because they want to get a better deal then they possible are at the company they at. On the flip side is that a company lowering their prices could mean that they have increased the price because they want to get more profits. This could cause concern by customers that the company has more room to move the price down because they have just increased it over time because they wanted profits and might not know what the bottom price really is. • 23. Greasy Lake By Tom Boyle The short story Greasy Lake by Tom Boyle is about a young man and his friends who thought they were some real bad characters. The main character and his two friends got into a series of events that started with almost killing a young man for no reason, to almost raping a young woman which made them reconsider how they wanted to live the rest of their adolescent life. During that night, the narrator underwent a series of events that caused the destruction of his mom s car and the shattering his self image. Throughout the short story Greasy Lake , you can find points that Boyle s use of the first person colors the story in some situations while causing bias views to show though in others. The narrator s use of the first person is use to create an idea of a bond between the friends, and he uses the term we throughout the story to point out that the group was together through it all. In the beginning of the story the narrator tells is that the gang of friends had went two nights without doing anything interesting. Then, the third night Whatever it was we were looking for, we weren t going to find it at greasy lake. Not that night. (295). This short quote shows me that the narrator was trying to tell us that everything that was about to happen from that point on was a group decision. Also, to further elaborate, I found the repetition of the word we to be a point of emphasis to try to negate some of the future consequences of his actions to his friends despite ... He thought out the fundamental principles of his theory of gravitation. He determined that every particle of matter attracts every other particle. Yet he suspected that the attraction varied depending on the product of their masses. He suspected that the force, which retained the moon in its orbit around the earth, was the same as the terrestrial gravity. And to prove this hypothesis he proceeded by doing this. He knew that if a stone wall were allowed to fall near the surface of the earth, the attraction of the earth caused the stone wall to move though sixteen feet in one second. The moon s orbit relative to the earth is nearly a circle, and as a rough approximation assuming so, he knew the distance of the moon, and therefore the length of its path. He also knew the time it took the moon to go around the earth once, a month. Therefore Newton could find its veloisty at any point such as M. Then he could find the distance MT through which it would move in the next second if it were not pulled by the earth s attraction. At the end of the second it was at ... Conrad employs characters that reflect the archaic perspectives concerning women. His five women characters were kept unnamed and their speech limited, highlighting the belittlement of women in the male dominated society. As savage and superb and ominous and stately, she inspires immediate attention from all around her, but she is a silent presence and therefore not able achieve true agency unlike her lover, whose greatest attribute is his voice. May the Best Man (or Woman) Win In fifth century BC Greece, writers and philosophers were dedicating their entire lives to figuring out the world around them; consequently, many distinct thoughts have been recorded regarding overlapping concepts. For example, in the works, Antigone by Sophocles, On Justice, Power, and Human Nature by Thucydides, and The Republic by Plato, there have been different accounts of the definition and significance of justice. Each work is significant to western civilization because it is applicable to the same society after all these years. The importance of justice takes on different roles and can affect people in different ways. The best person in these works will be the one who portrays justice in the most valuable way to the current society. That being said, reading about Antigone and Creon showed how justice shaped their futures. The blurred lines of who was in the right and who was in the wrong demonstrates that justice is subjective and affects people different based on their own personal values. That is the best portrayal of justice among the three works because it makes justice relatable and valid. Sophocles Antigone is a Greek tragedy that transcends 5th century BC Greece due to its complex analysis of justice and integrity. Making a Murderer effectively portrays a message of the injustice of Steven Avery s murder conviction and possible corruption within the Manitowoc s justice system through the use of footage and accounts from people who were involved with his conviction. Making a Murderer starts with Avery s exoneration of the conviction of rape and assault of Penny Beerntsen. Consistently, Steven Avery asserted that he was innocent and that he had an alibi. Regardless of his assertions he spent 18 years, of a 32 year sentence, in prison before he was finally found innocent by DNA evidence and was released. Reasonably, Avery pursued a $36 million lawsuit against the Manitowoc County for his wrongful conviction. Consequently, this lawsuit made Avery an enemy of the county. • 45. Love Not Legalism By Madeleine L Engle Love Not Legalism Madeleine L Engle was a fierce thought provoking writer. She challenged me as both a believer and a writer. Her scatterbrained writing style was relatable to me and so were the things she talked about. She would have been a wonderful wise woman to grab a meal with. She did not shy away from controversial topics; but instead, she introduced them. In Walking on Water L Engle sought to share the freedom available to us if we allow Jesus Christ to break us free from our chains. One of the topics that L Engle humbly addressed was the topic of legalism. I greatly appreciated this because I find that many world renowned leaders shy away from talking about it, when in reality it may be one of the enemy s most disguised tools. When people see God as an unapproachable killjoy, it becomes natural to grow distant from Him, and I know that before becoming a Christian this was the biggest stumbling block for me and I know some of the most kindhearted people cannot grasp the fact that God loves them and that He sent His one and only son to save them. L Engle also tackled the major misconception that God does not know how to laugh. He created humor and is pretty humorous himself. George MacDonald said, It is the Heart that is not yet sure of its God that is afraid to laugh in His presence (131). I am learning that more and more every day. The common trait that my most joyful friends share is confidence in God s love for them. A relationship with God has so ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. Banana Yoshimoto comparative essay Garber 1 Dylan Garber Ms. Ursula Misztal The Contemporary Short Story May 6th, 2013 How Banana Yoshimoto Brings The Unconscious to Life in Newlywed and Helix Banana Yoshimoto effectively portrays various common themes and motifs in both Helix and Newlywed , in revealing the subconscious state of mind of the respective protagonists. Although the storylines are quite different, we get the feeling that many themes and strategies such as isolation, incredible poetic effect, and the recurring use of a helper figure used to develop the characters, are relatively interchangeable. These literary patterns allow for the protagonists to both escape the shallowness that plagues them, and bring to light the deeper meaning behind their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This dramatization brings the reader to the realization that the protagonist s stream of consciousness narration is very unpredictable, yet will ultimately lead to his ability to expose his true feelings as the story develops. The author clearly likes to represent this feeling of indecision with poetic illustration as it is used several times in both stories. In Newlywed , the narrator vividly describes his mixed feelings toward his wife, Atsuko, during the peak of his epiphany like experience: For me, the beautiful, all encompassing web spun by this creature is at once so polluted, yet so pure that I feel compelled to grab on to it. I am terrified by it but find myself unable to hide from it. At some point I have been caught up in the magical power she has. (Newlywed, 16) Banana doesn t strictly limit her poetic language to the story s character development; she also uses it to depict specific moods in order to contextualize certain situations that shake up the intensity of the story itself. Coincidentally, in both Helix and Newlywed , the feeling of isolation is commonly portrayed throughout both stories with the unique use of grandiose language. This allows the protagonists to avoid any outside ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. The Importance Of Teaching A Past Lesson One of the greatest aspects of teaching is having the opportunity to engage with students. Engaging in the practice requires that teachers are constantly reflecting and wondering how they can better enhance their performance. This is often done through reflecting on past lessons as well as actively seeking appropriate leadership roles and opportunities. Effective teachers are master reflectors who always understand how their actions contribute to the success of their students, their families and their communities. Effective teachers are also sure that they are using their reflections and new knowledge to inform their practice. In addition to reflecting on their own practice, new teachers are always reading to collaborate with superiors or colleagues in order to gain new and innovative information. My first piece of evidence I have included for Standard 9 is an analysis of a past lesson. In the analysis, I carefully reflect on the effects my choices and actions in the classroom have impacted my students. Despite how passionately teachers may feel about engaging with students, it is important that we are constantly wondering how we can improve our performance in the classroom. Little that happens in the classroom happens for no reason. Constant reflection allows for teachers and students alike to understand how classroom interactions can become more meaningful. In addition to my lesson analysis, I have also included a lesson plan and its subsequent reflection. The lesson ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 49. Analysis Of Jacques Derrida s The Post Card I would prefer not to. Bartleby In one of the final post cards in his book, The Post Card, Jacques Derrida provides his readers with a short philosophical discussion for your distraction, he says. It goes like this: What is it, a destination? There where it arrives. So then everywhere that it arrives there was a destination? Yes. But not before? No. That s convenient, since if it arrives there, it is that it was destined to arrive there. But then one can only say so after the fact? When it has arrived, it is indeed the proof that it had to arrive, and arrive there, at its destination. But before arriving, it is not destined, for example it neither desires nor demands any address? There is everything that arrives where it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Allow me to present a slight tangent . . . an example from modern science that might prove illuminating. Consider Heisenberg s uncertainty principle. Written one way (the Oxford English Dictionary way) it states that certain pairs of observables (e.g. the momentum and position of a particle, the energy and lifetime of a quantum level) cannot both be precisely and simultaneously known, and that as one of any pair is more exactly defined, the other becomes more uncertain. In the example of particles: as the precision of the measurement of position (momentum) increases, the measurement of momentum (position) becomes more indeterminate. It is a struggle between opposites. This has two implications (probably more, but we ll leave it at two): one epistemological and one ontological. First, that there are restrictions to the amount of information that we can gather from systems of observables, and that perhaps the methods we use to describe such systems are insufficient. Second, that for all systems of observables any closed system there can be no definite value for all sets of observables at the same time. For example, in the case of the particle, it is impossible to calculate a definite value for both position and momentum simultaneously. What s this got to do with texts? Well, what if texts behave like particles, that is, always uncertain? The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 50. The Legal Rules Of Equity Introduction. Equity by its nature is a fluid subject where maxims are simply guidelines to be used or ignored at the whim of the court and solutions to litigation sometimes aim at justice (or expedience) at the expense of the legal rules of equity (equity will [sometimes] follow the law). This is illustrated by the two overarching maxims where equity will not assist a volunteer and equity will not perfect an imperfect gift when in practise there are established systems of equity which often do assist a volunteer and under the very flexible principle of benevolent construction the courts often do perfect an imperfect gift. This is the case even where it appears to directly contradict common law such as that from Bridge LJ in Paul v Constance . Into this fluid area of the law is imposed the common law in the premise of this essay from Turner LJ in Milroy v Lord : There are three modes of making a gift and these modes are mutually exclusive (1) An outright transfer of the legal title to the property (2) A transfer of the legal title to the property to a trustee to hold or (3) A self declaration of trust. This essay will look towards the cases and academic comment discussing this premise and the further recognised areas where equity does assist a volunteer and will perfect an imperfect gift and will conclude that it is difficult to state with any certainty that anything is mutually exclusive in equity and trusts. Discussion. The overview of this discussion is that there does ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
