Argumentative Speech On Competitiveness
Antithesis State all the bad, before you state the good Ethos I am a lawyer Logos Definitions/ No

Sentence We Want We Want Ladies and gentlemen of of the jury! Before we accuse our defendant of
starting fights, destroying connections, and firing teamwork, we must understand what it is.
Competitiveness is defined by the desire to be better than others. To be better than others, does that
mean we dislike others, or want them to stop? No it simply means that we want to higher our
standards to achieve theirs. It means that we want to better ourselves. We want to improve, we want to

Now I m not going to lie to you, sometimes competitiveness has an ally. The ally is jealousy, but
listen, we all have friends who are completely different from us, and competitiveness does to. Jealousy
is not competitiveness although, sometimes they come hand in hand. More often than not, we have
learned to ignore jealousy, and so when they come as a team, we focus on the competitiveness, and
avoid being jealous. When jealousy realizes that it has no purpose, it leaves, and we remain solely
competitive However, competitiveness isn t the nicest guy on the block. He s usually polite, but when
in action, he is definitely not friendly. Why? That is his job. Tell me, at work, do you spend most of it
in the hallways socializing, or do you spend it working? Unless you like to slack off, I think most of
you would be working. That s the same with competitiveness. Once it is working, it wants to get its
job done, and over with. It doesn t want to waste time. After it has completed what it needs to do , it
goes back to being friendly, just like most of us are at work. After all that I ve done to defend
competitiveness I must tell you that competitiveness does get out of hand. You ve all seen those
movies where someone hijacks their roommate s alarm clock, so that they can get the best position .
You ve all seen what happens when you let the desire to win take over your life, and let jealousy
influence competitiveness. Everything can get out of hand. So I believe that

Against Mandatory Vaccines
Vaccines are known for preventing disease, but could they be more dangerous than you know? Ever
since the creation of vaccines people have been arguing over whether their risks outweigh the benefits.
Supporters of vaccines believe that vaccines are safer than natural immunization and that the approval
process will eliminate all major side effects before it is released to the public. Advocates of
vaccination think that vaccines are still not safe, nor humane. They also believe that mandatory
vaccines infringe upon the freedom of people s bodies. It is also largely disputed whether vaccines
cause autism or not. While vaccines are considered safe by many, others believe that there is more to
vaccines than what we believe.

Immunization through vaccines produces the same immunity as natural infections without having to
withstand the disease itself. Some vaccines even offer a better response than contracting the disease (
The Benefits of Vaccine ). The Chickenpox vaccine has been studied a lot involving the side effects in
comparison to those of contracting the disease. A child has a .25 percent chance of being hospitalized
after catching chickenpox while they would have a .05 percent chance of minor infection after the
vaccine . While death rarely occurs from either form of immunization, it was far more likely to occur
from the infection rather than the vaccine. Of course, the risk is extremely small in both instances, but
the slight edge of chickenpox is scary enough for most parents to vaccinate their children. Shingles is
something that many people are scared of contracting as they get older. Although the chickenpox
vaccine has not been available for long enough to see how many vaccinated people develop shingles
at any point in their lives, the contraction of shingles in children post vaccine has been studied.
Shingles is 39 percent less likely to occur in children or teens who were vaccinated than those who
naturally transmitted the disease. (Moyer, Melinda Wenner). Chickenpox is just one example of a
vaccine being safer than the natural infection. Although small, the difference in risk between the two
ways of immunization is often plenty to encourage parents to vaccinate their

Figurative Language In Dylan Thomas
Since my childhood I have never really been a fan of reading books, nevertheless, took the time to
analyze certain passages or readings in order to find the deeper meaning behind them. I have always
been a fan of music and understood lyrics; however, poetry is a step further in comprehension. Since
we studied Dylan Thomas as a class, I have found interest in his use of figurative language and his
approach to go against the grain with masterful imagery. Thomas themes of unity, life and death,
growth, and love all present a new perspective on the outlook of life and pose questions for how to
view the world moving forward. Dylan Thomas, although faced a lot of criticism for being overrated
and was an alcoholic which led to his self destruction, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He expands on this by stating, Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright / Their frail deeds might
have danced in a green bay (1433). Thomas claims that this generation or wave of good men will be
upset that their legacies and contributions won t be remembered. It s a feeling of sympathy for these
good men as a lot of times it s the little things in life we accomplish that gets overlooked. I draw
similarities from the word wave in the context. To me, the wave can represent life as it slowly builds
and grows to its peak then comes crashing down only to disperse just like the direction of the human
life as we age. As much as Thomas writing sounds to be directed to someone at this point, I believe
these two lines represent him in a way before he died, like the good men he speaks of, he may have
thought his deeds to poetry may be meaningless and forgotten someday not knowing how big of an
impact it has today. Following this, Thomas contrasts the good men by saying, Wild men who caught
and sang the sun in flight / And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way (1433). My interpretation of
this is Thomas is trying to be fair by recognizing the good man and the wild man, why? Possibly
because these were his beliefs and thoughts on how one should go about their life as they approach an
end but doesn t know which type of man he saw

The Sport Of Football
Football is one of the most watched sports in the United States, but it is believed to have descended
from the ancient Greek game of harpaston. Harpaston was played by a player crossing a goal line by
either kicking the ball, running with it across the goal line or throwing it across the line to another
player to earn points. Harpaston had very few rules: there was no specific field length, no sideline
boundaries, and no specified number of players per team. Most modern forms of football are believed
to originate from England during the 12th century where kings from that time banned football because
they believed it took away from the traditional sports of England ( A Brief History ). When football
first started in the United States in November ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

increased by 27 percent, and broken bones, dislocations, and concussions made up 1/3 of the

season players of the NFL received 32 percent more head injuries in 2015 than they did in the prior
year. Doctors also widely believe that football players who receive multiple head blows have an
increased chance to get chronic traumatic encephalopathy, CTE. CTE can cause many problems such
as impaired judgment, problems controlling impulses, and dementia ( Farewell to Football ). After
Omalu was the first doctor to realize that football can cause head injuries and brain damage other
doctors also started to determine he was correct. After various doctors agreed on this the NFL started

Barlifting Flaws
There are about a million technique flaws that can be exhibited in the snatch, clean, and jerk. And,
unfortunately for coaches and athletes alike, it is common for more than one of these faults to be
displayed in a lifter at the same time. So when someone has multiple technique errors that need to be
fixed, where do you start?
Perhaps it s obvious, but you should not try to fix everything all at once.
Experience has shown that giving a lifter multiple corrections to focus on at once tends to make things
worse. If you re lucky, both things will sort of improve, but not as optimally as if you kept the cue
singular.
This doesn t mean that you can t correct more than one thing in a day (though often that s a good idea,
especially if the fault ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This doesn t just mean the set up on the ground; I have new lifters do a lot of work from the hang, and
achieving the proper set up in these positions is also extremely important.
I believe that lifts done from the hang should look as close as possible positioning wise to those same
points in the full lifts. For example, I see many people try to bend their knees so much that they
protrude past the bar when lowering down into an above the knee hang position. But the fact is, that
position never actually occurs in a full lift the body will instead be hinged over, with shoulders out in
front of the bar, and the knees bent only slightly. If your set up is incorrect whether from the hang or
from the floor, it is much more difficult to reach proper positions during the rest of the lift.
At this point, in someone who came in with multiple technique flaws, the odds are good that they were
deficient in at least one of the above points. My purpose with this post is not to give a complete
description of the entire priority list for error correction in weightlifting, but just to give ideas on
starting points when a lifter displays more than one

The Human Growth Hormone
Human Growth hormone (GH), also known as somatotropin, is a peptide produced by the anterior
pituitary gland from somatotroph cells. GH has come to the forefront in the sports world for doping
and anti aging promoters. In adults, the most prominent effects of GH are decreased fat mass and
increased lean body mass. The increase in lean body mass is associated with increased protein
synthesis, muscle mass, and muscle function (1). GH plays an important role in the linear
development of bone growth in children and adolescents. After the body stops growing, GH levels
decrease dramatically and remain low throughout the remainder of adult life (2).
GH is a single chain peptide with 191 amino acids that is stabilized by two disulfide bridges. The
molecular weight is 22,000 Daltons (3). GH 1 and GH 2 are genes for GH that are located on
chromosome 17 in the q22 24 region (4). GH secretion is regulated by growth hormone releasing
hormone (GHRH). GHRH is a peptide released from the hypothalamus that stimulates the release of
GH. The hypothalamus also secretes somatostatin, which inhibits the release of GH through back
regulation. GHRH and somatostatin are released from the hypothalamus through the hypophyseal
portal and are transported to the anterior pituitary. GH is released in a pulsatile fashion that is
determined by the concentration of GHRH and somatostatin (5). Levels of GH are slightly higher in
women than in men and the highest amounts of GH secretion is during puberty in

The Battle of Antietam Creek
The Battle of Antietam Creek
The Battle of Antietam Creek was a very bloody and important battle in the Civil war. The battle was
fought by two different armies within the Union and the Confederacy, The Army of the Potomac
(Union) and The Army of Northern Virginia (Confederate). Antietam Creek is located just to the east
of the Potomac River in Maryland. The battle was fought on a hill just above the west bank of
Antietam Creek. The Army of the Potomac, who was on the offensive, was pushing towards the river.
The Army of Northern Virginia, who was on the defensive, was on the bank defending themselves
from what is often referred to as a sea of blue. The men who fought in the battle of Antietam Creek

Essay on The Impact of Blogging on Middle Eastern Society
Although millions of people around the world depend on a free press to convey them the news of the
day via newspapers, television, and the Internet, many countries in the developing world lack the
climate of openness that contributes to a credible press. It is a chicken and egg problem (which came
first, the free press or the democratic government?), but it is clear that a democratic government
contributes to a free press as much as the converse. Through the fog of decades of war, the Middle
East has had particular difficulty sorting out fact from fiction, propaganda from proper news. While a
free press cannot necessarily tell viewers which is which, it can give them the information they need
to know to draw their own conclusions. In this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

throughout the Arab world and abroad an intense and often witty account of life during wartime.
Capitalizing on the popularity and uncooked nature of Where is Raed?, other Arab blogs began
appearing online. Although early Arab bloggers also used English, partly because Arabic language
word processing technology was poor and partly because writing in English offered a greater feeling
of anonymity, as technology improved, Arabic language blogs began to appear more with greater
frequency (Hamdy, 93). Blogs such as Kefaya! and Manal and Alaa s Bit Bucket could reach many
more readers in the Middle East than English language blogs and focused on themes popular with
readers, such as government repression, social upheaval, and political frustration. The blogs often
posted shocking amateur video and photography of police brutality that were not available to major
Arab or Western news outlets because of failure to obtain permission from the host governments to
cover protests. As readership of Arabic language blogs increased, so did the number of blogs

Rhetorical Analysis Of Why Millennials Will Save Us All
Millennials may be criticized, but they are a generation like no other. In the article Why Millennials
Will Save Us All, Joel Stein asserts that millennials are a positive force of change. Stein s intent is to
convince his target audience, older generations who perceive millennials as lazy, entitled, selfish and
shallow (28), that they misunderstand millennials. He boldly claims that [millennials are] not a new
species; they ve just mutated to adapt to their environment (31). Stein persuades his audience that
millennials are most certainly a treasure trove of remarkable qualities. He accomplishes this by
switching tones in the middle of the article, using humorous language, and establishing credibility
through his mastery of logos. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the first half of the article, Stein inserts disapproving evidence about millennial traits, pointing out
how 58% more college students scored higher on a narcissism scale in 2009 than in 1982 (28). Stein
provides these statistics to convince his target audience of his credibility by giving them evidence that
peaks the interest of their judgemental views. After his tone shift, Stein reveals all of his equally valid
data on the positive aspects of millennials. The audience discovers in the second half of the article that
nearly a quarter of DreamWorks 2,200 employees are under 30, and the studio has a 96% retention
rate (32). This supports Stein s claim by using logos to show millennials work ethic, one of their many
redeeming qualities. Since the audience has already accepted Stein s pessimistic evidence earlier in the
article, they are willing to accept his positive evidence as well. In this way, Stein avoids assaulting his
readers with evidence that supports his controversial claim by first easing his audience into his article
with evidence they readily agree with. By the end of his article, Stein has integrated enough logos to
convince his audience of the legitimacy of his claim while balancing out the informal sections of his

Finance
In terms of finance point of view cost of sales increase in 2013 near around 8 %(New ivory

there is huge amount of increase in administration expense. Major factor that contribute to increase
administrative expense is salary of employee (John Newton, Finance Controller).
Biggest cost factor at new ivory is ingredients and packaging cost and it contributes near around 50%
of total cost of company. Out of 21 million cost, raw material and packaging and ingredients cost
cover near around 11 million(John Newton, Finance Controller).in terms of subdivide in package and
raw material cost, packaging cost include near around 50% and raw material cost 40% respectively. In
terms to meet requirement of customer it is necessary for a company to stock different type of
packaging and it increase company s holding cost.
As per Mr. John Waste is another major factor which increase cost for company . So as per my point
of view strong implementation of lean principle will be very effective and proper forecasting of

The Modern Prison System And The American Government System
If there is one thing that makes the world run efficiently, it s money. Having money and adequate
funds, leads to power and peace, no matter the business you re in. This is no different in the correction
industry, one of the least funded areas in the American government system. For as long as America has
been founded, there have been a prison system. Granted early systems were horrendous and treated
criminals as less than human beings, the modern prison system isn t perfect either. Even after
hundreds of years, the American prison system is flawed. Corrections industries do not communicate
with each other causing disparity in the way places are run and which programs are truly helpful in
getting people back into society successfully. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The staff in corrections is so large, because there is a huge number of people in the actual prisons, an
even bigger number of people on parole, and people in general needing to be protected. With more
than 2.3 million people locked up, the United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world. 1
out of 100 American adults is behind bars, meaning that with that many people needing to be
incarcerated, governments should be focused on opening new facilities and expanding instead of
making across the board cuts and shutting down much needed buildings. Though the corrections
industry is only one part of the entire Criminal justice system, it is argued to be one of the most
important. The local, state, and the federal government spend about $74 billion dollars a year on
correctional institutions, and nearly 800,000 people work in the industry. In corrections, budget is
being diminished at an astounding rate. Prisons are getting closed, there s less money for necessary
equipment, there are fully trained staff member losing their jobs, and lower staff/inmate ratios.
Governments are doing whatever they can to save, but eventually there s nowhere else to cut, and the
situation becomes very dangerous for not only inmates, but for the guards there as well. With the
economy being in rough shape as of late in America, money invested in corrections is lessening,
whether this is more helpful or harmful to society in the long run is

Persuasive Essay On Prejudice And Discrimination
When someone thinks of the word prejudice, he or she might think the word only refers to racial
prejudice between those of different skin colors or looks. However, that is not the case. Prejudice goes
deeper than that. Prejudices and stereotypes are usually negative thoughts or beliefs that people place
on each other based on differences, such as religion, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, gender, or
geographic location. Recently, Muslims have been a huge target for prejudice and discrimination. Ever
since the incident of 9/11, when a terrorist group purposely crashed planes into the World Trade
Center, Muslims have never been treated the same. That is reflected with the introduction of various
bills and legislation, the implementation of stricter immigration laws, and the addition of stricter
airport laws policies. Although I do think we can reduce the amount of prejudice in our societies
among Muslims, I do not believe that prejudice and discrimination will ever completely go away.
Islamophobia, the irrational fear or dislike against Islam or Muslims, very much existed before the
9/11 attacks; however, it increased drastically across the world after that horrible incident. Due to the
increase of national fear in the United States after the attacks, immigration laws became much stricter.
One author states that these laws were put into place by the USA Patriot Act, the Enhanced Border
Security and Visa Entry Reform Act, and many others (Villemez, 2). According to

Brown Adipose Tissue (BAT)
Brown adipose tissue (BAT) is derived from the mesenchymal precursor cell which also seems to give
rise to muscle . BATis located mainly around the neck, paravertebral sites, kidneys and large blood
vessels of the thorax. As previously mentioned above, Marcus (1988), demonstrated that TSH induced
lipolysis in BAT from newborns and infants but this declined with age. Recent studies have profiled
different layers of BAT in adults, particularly in the neck and between the shoulder blades
(Nedergaard, 2013). BAT contains multilocular lipid droplets and a high mitochondrial content. Its
primary function is to liberate energy as heat via the consumption of stored energy. This is mediated
by the uncoupling protein 1 (Ucp 1), which embeds in the inner mitochondrial membrane and
produces heat by dissipating the proton electrochemical gradient over the inner mitochondrial
membrane space without generating ATP. The energy in BAT? is stored as perilipin coated lipid
droplets and glycogen granules. Upon temperature stimulation glucose and fatty acid uptake is rapidly
increased to replenish its supplies (reviewed in Sanchez Gurmaches, 2013).
BRITE adipose tissue occurs within WAT tissue depots, in response to chronic cold exposure. Beige
adipose tissue has the characteristics of both white and brown adipocytes. They appear to be like WAT
in basal states but upon cold stimulation, they behave like BAT by becoming multilocular and
expressing the brown fat marker UCP1. However, they are

Battle Of Britain
The Battle of Britain was an extremely important piece of history that was almost completely
exclusive to air battles between the Royal Air Force and the German Luftwaffe. Luckily for Great
Britain, its air defense system was one of the most effective of its time. Luckily for Germany, the
Luftwaffe contained numbers that were far superior to Great Britain s, in terms of men and also the
amount of planes used in battle and in bombings. The Battle of Britain was also the first big battle to
use radar on Great Britain s coast to its full potential. One of the biggest attacks planned by Hitler was
the attack on London, which ended up turning the battle in Great Britain s favor. And so the Battle of
Britain was known as exclusive to air battles, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Luftwaffe s attacks were one hundred percent focused on their military supplies, but it all changed
when the Royal Air Force launched a retaliatory attack on Berlin, Germany. This retaliatory attack
angered Hitler to the point that he dropped the progress made on the British air bases and changed his
targets of attack to the British cities. These bombings on the British cities later became known as the
London blitz(http://www.eyewitnesstohistory.com/blitz.htm) and the biggest city by far that was
targeted was London herself. As the weeks went on, London sustained more and more bombings, of
course, the citizens of the British cities suffered tremendously, being quite powerless. Though this
kept taking its toll on Great Britain s citizens the Royal Air Force had the tension of the attacks on
their bases relieved and began its recovery. The Royal Air Force had time to repair the airfields that
were out of commission and severely damaged. With these repairs completed on the air bases, the
Royal Air Force was more than ready for the next German attack. The attack fleet came soon enough
and they came with around one hundred and twenty planes. The biggest attack in the Battle of Britain
so far. The Germans obviously wanted the city of London in ruins with an attack force like that, and if

A) List three possible new products or new product line extensions.
1) Titleist Pro V1 extra padded, slip resistant socks 2) Titleist Pro V1 t shirt 3) Titleist Pro V1 golf

B) Why did you think of these products?
1)
I thought of the Titleist Pro V1 extra padded, slip resistant socks because golfers normally wear socks
that are a little higher than the shoe. On the rims of the socks that wraps around the ankle we would
have Titleist Pro V1 in big letters to promote the Titleist Pro V1 brand. Also, there is usually nothing
worse than a sock slipping off in a shoe to only find a big blister later, so having the sock be extra
padded and slip resistant is likely to ensure comfort and blister free feet.

succeeding in the market compared to the other products I ve listed above.
Question # 2:
A) Please respond to each of these considerations for the one chosen new product of your Product
Group:
1) Will it be simple to produce, using existing manufacturing systems? Titleist Pro V1 extra padded,
slip resistant socks will be fairly simple to produce using existing manufacturing systems since Titleist
already makes embroidered golf towels. Therefore, making a few tweaks like changing the towels
fabric to the socks fabric to make and embroider the rims of the socks likely wont alter the current
manufacturing systems greatly. This will likely help keep the costs to make the Titleist Pro V1 extra
padded, slip resistant socks low since the same machinery can be used. 2) What is the Selling
Proposition ? The selling proposition for this product will be Titleist Pro V1 extra padded, slip
resistant socks, designed to protect you even in harsh conditions . It s likely that whoever reads this
selling proposition will feel confident the socks will benefit their well being. The selling proposition
could also help the Titleist Pro V1 brand be seen as caring since the socks are made to help the
consumers.

Alcohol has been considered by many to be a powerful, and sometimes deadly, drug. It is often
created during the breakdown process of sugar into ethanol and carbon dioxide during the
fermentation of fruits or grain. The consumption of this substance has been restricted by age in most
countries, as it has been linked to the harm of the kidneys, brain, and other parts of the human body.
Alcohol has been a large presence in the media for centuries, mainly due to its sometimes damaging
effects on consumers. However, there are those who believe that consuming alcohol could actually
prove to have health benefits as well. A study by Dutch scientists suggests that a low to moderate
intake of alcohol could actually reduce the risk of dementia in elderly victims from age fifty five and
up. The article that outlines the study, titled Alcohol consumption and risk of dementia: the Rotterdam
Study, introduces the experiment as a part of the Rotterdam Study: a prospective, population based
cohort study that sought to investigate factors that led to health problems in the elderly. A prospective
take on the study was chosen since the subjects have already been exposed to the causal agent in this
case, alcohol in their lives prior to the study. They hypothesized that light to moderate alcohol intake
was associated with a lower risk of dementia, and aimed to quantify the relation between alcohol
consumption and the risk of dementia and subtypes of dementia; specifically, we examined whether

Sex Sexuality And Its Effect On Society
The world in constantly evolving and ideas that were once seen as radical soon become a societal
norm. Sex and sexuality have often been a taboo topic, but are a central part of history because life
itself would not exists without sex. Since sexuality, and even more so same sex sexuality, were not
often mentioned historically, there are many unknowns and inferencing must be done relatively often.
Through the convergence of primary sources, such as court cases and diaries, and secondary sources
such as essays and books, it is possible for historians to piece together the history of same sex
sexuality in Canada, and more specifically, Alberta. Although society has progressed to become more
accepting and understanding, there are also many things that remain constant from early 20th century
Alberta to Alberta today. Power Authority Almost every relationship has an unequal distribution of
power, but this on its own is neither negative or positive. Imbalance of power become an issue when
those in power exercise their control to exploit and disadvantage others. Unfortunately for men having
sex with men in Alberta in the 1900 s, they had very little power in relation to the government and
police. Police were actively surveilling parks, bars, and even opening mail and listening to phone
conversations in order to find and condemn men seeking out sex with men or men suspected of
looking for sex with men. In Alberta in 1912, men such as David Smith were encouraged by

Medea Feminist Analysis
I know indeed what evil I intend to do,/But stronger than all my [Medea] afterthoughts is my
fury,/Fury that brings upon mortals the greatest evils (Euripides 35). In Euripides play, Medea, he
shows what happens when one is victimized permanently for something that they had done in the past,
and shows the he shows the power of revenge. Jason is the victim in this tragic grouping of events.
Medea punishes him, because she feels that he wronged her, even though her gruesome plans were
much more sophisticated and horrid than Jason s acts against Medea. Some may argue that Medea
would be considered the victim of Jason s wrath and terrible acts against her. They may believe that
she was always innocent, and that everything bad that happened, ... Show more content on

In Medea s acts of rage, she victimizes Jason, and others around her. She was immune to the fact that
she was going to kill her children, because she was focused on getting revenge on Jason, and making
sure that he suffered. During Medea s encounter with Jason, Jason is shown slowly crumbling beneath
the pain and agony that Medea had placed upon him, by killing her children. At this point, Jason is
pleading for mercy, and begging for the children s bodies. You who have had the heart to raise a sword
against/Your children, you, their mother, and left me childless /You have done this, and do you still
look at the sun/And at the earth, after these most fearful doings?/ I wish you were dead (Euripides 43).
Jason had shown his weakness to Medea, and she took advantage of that by slaughtering her own
children, so that she would get revenge on Jason. This placed Jason in an even more vulnerable
position, because he had to live with no family or power, because Medea ripped it all away from him
in a matter of minutes. Jason s future had been brought to an abrupt stop, and Medea was to blame.
Medea became an outcast, because she not only murdered her children, she devised a horrific plan,
that called for her children to bring death to the princess and king. Medea had affected many people
negatively, including people in her own family. In her acts of anger or under her horrific plans, Medea
was bound to hurt someone. While Jason is looking for Medea after he hears about the slaughtering of
his children, he exclaims, For your own brother you slew at your own hearthside,/ And then came
aboard that beautiful ship, the Argo./And that was your beginning... /For the sake of pleasure in the
bed you killed them./There is no Greek woman who would have dared such deeds (Euripides 43).
Jason is insulting Medea for the fact

Espionage In Chronicle Of A Death Foretold By Gabriel...
Espionage has always been a crucial part of any war s success. It is vital to know what the enemy is
planning to do and when they plan to execute their plans. This vital need has always caused the need
for spies to conduct the espionage on enemies. However, the information that the spies collected was
only as valuable as the amount of trust placed on a spy. A spy can gather information on enemies plans
and report back to their boss, but if the boss does not trust the spy it could cause vital information to
go unnoticed or not receive the proper urgency. These doubts about notes and letters are not limited to
spymasters alone, many everyday citizens rely on the letters and notes of others. In his novel
Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Gabriel García Márquez uses letters and notes written between
characters as a metaphor to represent the doubts the characters have about the information they are
receiving. In order to better understand Márquez s metaphor the letters Angela receives from her
mother about San Roman, the letters returned to Nasar by his fiancée, and the letters written to San
Roman from Angela can all be further examined. In the first letter sent to Angela at school, Márquez
illustrates a mysterious new man who has arrived in town The strange man is called Bayardo San
Roman, and everybody says he s enchanting, but I haven t seen him. (Page 15). The strange man is
called Bayardo San Roman, and everybody says he s enchanting, but I haven t seen him.

Corruption In The Federal Government
Political corruption in the United States is present an at least one of the three branches of government
in all fifty states but is most common in the Legislative branch. Ending political corruption is nearly
impossible because public officials will always find a loophole in the existing laws but reducing
corruption is possible. The most efficient way to dramatically reducing political corruption is by
targeting the Legislative branch of the United States government. Two members of Congress are
trying to exactly do that by proposing a law, At the federal level, that would impose term limits on
members of Congress. Senator Ted Cruz and Representative Ron DeSantis are both pushing an
amendment to be added to the United States Constitution which would impose term limits on
members of the House of Representative and the Senate. Political corruption in the legislative branch
of the federal government is a problem because members of Congress will favor special interest rather
than their constituent. A law that was passed at the federal level to try solving this problem is the
Honest Leadership and Open Government Act and a proposed law at the state level Ohio
Strengthening Term Limits on State Legislators Amendment but both laws don t go far enough. By
Imposing term limits on Congress it will help reduce political corruption because it will constantly
bring new faces to Congress which will make it harder for special interest to have a grip on Congress.

Music Has Been Around Since The Creation Of Humans
Music has been around since the creation of humans. It is a sound that to us humans is appealing and it
s something that we listen to when we are sad, happy, excited, mad, and etc. There are many types of
music, but when i look at the type of music that represents reality the most it is hip hop and rap. Hip
hop has been around since the 80s but it has become increasingly popular throughout all of our
community. Rap artists started out rapping about where they were from and the life they lived, and
eventually it turned into rappers speaking about women, their riches and other social things.
Hip hop however for some artists it was a way to express themselves and show us what reality
actually was for them. They spoke about things such as police brutality, black rights, natural
catastrophes, and many other things that we weren t exposed to, or didn t know about. This is
significant because music is heard by everyone, and if that person can make a song that sounds
appealing to people, that person could send a message to other people about things happening far
away from them. I imagine that rappers started talking about their struggles and it became something
that millions of people heard. I imagine that rap started out as story telling and evolved to become
music with people speaking about their feelings and much more.
Music has become heavily commercialized, and not just hip hop but in other genres as well. People
from all over the country are becoming rappers and not

The Enron Corporation Scandal
IDENTIFY THE ACCOUNTING PRACTICES THAT WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THE
ACCOUNTING SCANDAL.
The Enron Corporation failures made world headlines for many reasons ranging from greed from its
executives, the alleged malpractice and criminal behaviours, and its quick and disastrous collapse. The
most critical factor in Enron s melt down was the use of creative and manipulative accounting
practices to distort reported profitability and indebtedness that befell the corporation (A. Holt and T.
Eccles, 2002) The accounting practices involved in this case are the revenue recognition criteria
adopted by Enron Corporation, Market to Market strategies, the use of Special Purpose Entities,
booking to cost as assets and the corporate governance practices.
Revenue Recognition Mark to market and Merchant Model Revenue is the gross inflow of economic
benefits (cash, receivables, other assets) arising from the ordinary operating activities of an entity
(such as sales of goods, sales of services, interest, royalties, and dividends). [IAS 18.7]. Revenue
recognition, as defined in the IASB Framework, means incorporating an item that meets the definition
of revenue in the income statement when it is probable that any future economic benefit associated
with the item of revenue will flow to the entity, and the amount of revenue can be measured with
reliability.
Enron used revenues as its primary financial objective, performance driver and a measure of success.

The narrator pointed out that the century old jars containing specimens of bodies along with their

How To Write An Essay About A Day That Changed My Life
Freezing cold rain poured down from the dark, cloudy sky as we were running like our lives depended
on it. My dad was carrying my six year old sister and my mom was carrying me, and I was four years
old. We could hear the cruise ship s horn blaring in the distance, but other than that and the seagulls
barking, we were surrounded by complete silence. Now, you re probably wondering where I am
talking about and what is going on, but no need to worry, because I will tell you.
It was a bright and sunny day in lovely Bermuda. The wind whispered lightly around us. My sister and
I were splashing around in the water while my parents were tanning on the warm, pink sand of
Horseshoe Bay. I could feel the slightly cool and crisp breeze on my face. It was about noon, and we
had to be back on our cruise ship by one o clock. Horseshoe Bay is a half hour away from the dock,
where our ship was swimming in place. Eventually, clouds started covering the sky like a blanket, and
we started to feel a light mist, which we assumed was why people were leaving the beach, but none of
us seemed to mind. Technology wasn t the greatest around this time, so all we had was a watch that
my mom was wearing. By this time, it was around twelve thirty. I started to notice that I couldn t see a
single soul on the beach other than us. Since I was very confused, I decided to speak up.
Mommy, where did everybody go? I asked
I don t know Ally, it s probably just the rain! she responded.

  • 2. Argumentative Speech On Competitiveness Antithesis State all the bad, before you state the good Ethos I am a lawyer Logos Definitions/ No competitiveness no lawyers Personification Jealousy and Competitiveness are people Parallel Sentence We Want We Want Ladies and gentlemen of of the jury! Before we accuse our defendant of starting fights, destroying connections, and firing teamwork, we must understand what it is. Competitiveness is defined by the desire to be better than others. To be better than others, does that mean we dislike others, or want them to stop? No it simply means that we want to higher our standards to achieve theirs. It means that we want to better ourselves. We want to improve, we want to have the greatest possibilities. Our defendant, competition is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Now I m not going to lie to you, sometimes competitiveness has an ally. The ally is jealousy, but listen, we all have friends who are completely different from us, and competitiveness does to. Jealousy is not competitiveness although, sometimes they come hand in hand. More often than not, we have learned to ignore jealousy, and so when they come as a team, we focus on the competitiveness, and avoid being jealous. When jealousy realizes that it has no purpose, it leaves, and we remain solely competitive However, competitiveness isn t the nicest guy on the block. He s usually polite, but when in action, he is definitely not friendly. Why? That is his job. Tell me, at work, do you spend most of it in the hallways socializing, or do you spend it working? Unless you like to slack off, I think most of you would be working. That s the same with competitiveness. Once it is working, it wants to get its job done, and over with. It doesn t want to waste time. After it has completed what it needs to do , it goes back to being friendly, just like most of us are at work. After all that I ve done to defend competitiveness I must tell you that competitiveness does get out of hand. You ve all seen those movies where someone hijacks their roommate s alarm clock, so that they can get the best position . You ve all seen what happens when you let the desire to win take over your life, and let jealousy influence competitiveness. Everything can get out of hand. So I believe that ... • 3. Against Mandatory Vaccines Vaccines are known for preventing disease, but could they be more dangerous than you know? Ever since the creation of vaccines people have been arguing over whether their risks outweigh the benefits. Supporters of vaccines believe that vaccines are safer than natural immunization and that the approval process will eliminate all major side effects before it is released to the public. Advocates of vaccination think that vaccines are still not safe, nor humane. They also believe that mandatory vaccines infringe upon the freedom of people s bodies. It is also largely disputed whether vaccines cause autism or not. While vaccines are considered safe by many, others believe that there is more to vaccines than what we believe. Vaccines are substances ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Immunization through vaccines produces the same immunity as natural infections without having to withstand the disease itself. Some vaccines even offer a better response than contracting the disease ( The Benefits of Vaccine ). The Chickenpox vaccine has been studied a lot involving the side effects in comparison to those of contracting the disease. A child has a .25 percent chance of being hospitalized after catching chickenpox while they would have a .05 percent chance of minor infection after the vaccine . While death rarely occurs from either form of immunization, it was far more likely to occur from the infection rather than the vaccine. Of course, the risk is extremely small in both instances, but the slight edge of chickenpox is scary enough for most parents to vaccinate their children. Shingles is something that many people are scared of contracting as they get older. Although the chickenpox vaccine has not been available for long enough to see how many vaccinated people develop shingles at any point in their lives, the contraction of shingles in children post vaccine has been studied. Shingles is 39 percent less likely to occur in children or teens who were vaccinated than those who naturally transmitted the disease. (Moyer, Melinda Wenner). Chickenpox is just one example of a vaccine being safer than the natural infection. Although small, the difference in risk between the two ways of immunization is often plenty to encourage parents to vaccinate their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Figurative Language In Dylan Thomas Since my childhood I have never really been a fan of reading books, nevertheless, took the time to analyze certain passages or readings in order to find the deeper meaning behind them. I have always been a fan of music and understood lyrics; however, poetry is a step further in comprehension. Since we studied Dylan Thomas as a class, I have found interest in his use of figurative language and his approach to go against the grain with masterful imagery. Thomas themes of unity, life and death, growth, and love all present a new perspective on the outlook of life and pose questions for how to view the world moving forward. Dylan Thomas, although faced a lot of criticism for being overrated and was an alcoholic which led to his self destruction, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He expands on this by stating, Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright / Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay (1433). Thomas claims that this generation or wave of good men will be upset that their legacies and contributions won t be remembered. It s a feeling of sympathy for these good men as a lot of times it s the little things in life we accomplish that gets overlooked. I draw similarities from the word wave in the context. To me, the wave can represent life as it slowly builds and grows to its peak then comes crashing down only to disperse just like the direction of the human life as we age. As much as Thomas writing sounds to be directed to someone at this point, I believe these two lines represent him in a way before he died, like the good men he speaks of, he may have thought his deeds to poetry may be meaningless and forgotten someday not knowing how big of an impact it has today. Following this, Thomas contrasts the good men by saying, Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight / And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way (1433). My interpretation of this is Thomas is trying to be fair by recognizing the good man and the wild man, why? Possibly because these were his beliefs and thoughts on how one should go about their life as they approach an end but doesn t know which type of man he saw ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Sport Of Football Football is one of the most watched sports in the United States, but it is believed to have descended from the ancient Greek game of harpaston. Harpaston was played by a player crossing a goal line by either kicking the ball, running with it across the goal line or throwing it across the line to another player to earn points. Harpaston had very few rules: there was no specific field length, no sideline boundaries, and no specified number of players per team. Most modern forms of football are believed to originate from England during the 12th century where kings from that time banned football because they believed it took away from the traditional sports of England ( A Brief History ). When football first started in the United States in November ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From the years 1990 to 2007 the percentage of sprains, strains, broken bones, and dislocations increased by 27 percent, and broken bones, dislocations, and concussions made up 1/3 of the emergency room visits from children ages 6 to 17 years old (Elango) ( Long Term Damage ). The season players of the NFL received 32 percent more head injuries in 2015 than they did in the prior year. Doctors also widely believe that football players who receive multiple head blows have an increased chance to get chronic traumatic encephalopathy, CTE. CTE can cause many problems such as impaired judgment, problems controlling impulses, and dementia ( Farewell to Football ). After Omalu was the first doctor to realize that football can cause head injuries and brain damage other doctors also started to determine he was correct. After various doctors agreed on this the NFL started to provide 5 million dollars to retired players who have a serious medical condition related to head trauma starting April of 2015 (Dodd, et ... • 6. Barlifting Flaws There are about a million technique flaws that can be exhibited in the snatch, clean, and jerk. And, unfortunately for coaches and athletes alike, it is common for more than one of these faults to be displayed in a lifter at the same time. So when someone has multiple technique errors that need to be fixed, where do you start? Perhaps it s obvious, but you should not try to fix everything all at once. Experience has shown that giving a lifter multiple corrections to focus on at once tends to make things worse. If you re lucky, both things will sort of improve, but not as optimally as if you kept the cue singular. This doesn t mean that you can t correct more than one thing in a day (though often that s a good idea, especially if the fault ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This doesn t just mean the set up on the ground; I have new lifters do a lot of work from the hang, and achieving the proper set up in these positions is also extremely important. I believe that lifts done from the hang should look as close as possible positioning wise to those same points in the full lifts. For example, I see many people try to bend their knees so much that they protrude past the bar when lowering down into an above the knee hang position. But the fact is, that position never actually occurs in a full lift the body will instead be hinged over, with shoulders out in front of the bar, and the knees bent only slightly. If your set up is incorrect whether from the hang or from the floor, it is much more difficult to reach proper positions during the rest of the lift. At this point, in someone who came in with multiple technique flaws, the odds are good that they were deficient in at least one of the above points. My purpose with this post is not to give a complete description of the entire priority list for error correction in weightlifting, but just to give ideas on starting points when a lifter displays more than one ... • 7. The Human Growth Hormone Human Growth hormone (GH), also known as somatotropin, is a peptide produced by the anterior pituitary gland from somatotroph cells. GH has come to the forefront in the sports world for doping and anti aging promoters. In adults, the most prominent effects of GH are decreased fat mass and increased lean body mass. The increase in lean body mass is associated with increased protein synthesis, muscle mass, and muscle function (1). GH plays an important role in the linear development of bone growth in children and adolescents. After the body stops growing, GH levels decrease dramatically and remain low throughout the remainder of adult life (2). GH is a single chain peptide with 191 amino acids that is stabilized by two disulfide bridges. The molecular weight is 22,000 Daltons (3). GH 1 and GH 2 are genes for GH that are located on chromosome 17 in the q22 24 region (4). GH secretion is regulated by growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH). GHRH is a peptide released from the hypothalamus that stimulates the release of GH. The hypothalamus also secretes somatostatin, which inhibits the release of GH through back regulation. GHRH and somatostatin are released from the hypothalamus through the hypophyseal portal and are transported to the anterior pituitary. GH is released in a pulsatile fashion that is determined by the concentration of GHRH and somatostatin (5). Levels of GH are slightly higher in women than in men and the highest amounts of GH secretion is during puberty in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. The Battle of Antietam Creek The Battle of Antietam Creek The Battle of Antietam Creek was a very bloody and important battle in the Civil war. The battle was fought by two different armies within the Union and the Confederacy, The Army of the Potomac (Union) and The Army of Northern Virginia (Confederate). Antietam Creek is located just to the east of the Potomac River in Maryland. The battle was fought on a hill just above the west bank of Antietam Creek. The Army of the Potomac, who was on the offensive, was pushing towards the river. The Army of Northern Virginia, who was on the defensive, was on the bank defending themselves from what is often referred to as a sea of blue. The left wing was led by Major Thomas J. Stonewall Jackson, who famously died of being shot by one of his own men during the battle of Chancellorsville. The Right Wing was led by Major General James Longstreet. The Cavalry Division was led by Major General J.E.B. Stewart, J.E.B. stood for James Ewell Brown. • 9. Essay on The Impact of Blogging on Middle Eastern Society Although millions of people around the world depend on a free press to convey them the news of the day via newspapers, television, and the Internet, many countries in the developing world lack the climate of openness that contributes to a credible press. It is a chicken and egg problem (which came first, the free press or the democratic government?), but it is clear that a democratic government contributes to a free press as much as the converse. Through the fog of decades of war, the Middle East has had particular difficulty sorting out fact from fiction, propaganda from proper news. While a free press cannot necessarily tell viewers which is which, it can give them the information they need to know to draw their own conclusions. In this ... Although the blog was written in English, it provided to English speaking readers throughout the Arab world and abroad an intense and often witty account of life during wartime. Capitalizing on the popularity and uncooked nature of Where is Raed?, other Arab blogs began appearing online. Although early Arab bloggers also used English, partly because Arabic language word processing technology was poor and partly because writing in English offered a greater feeling of anonymity, as technology improved, Arabic language blogs began to appear more with greater frequency (Hamdy, 93). Blogs such as Kefaya! and Manal and Alaa s Bit Bucket could reach many more readers in the Middle East than English language blogs and focused on themes popular with readers, such as government repression, social upheaval, and political frustration. The blogs often posted shocking amateur video and photography of police brutality that were not available to major Arab or Western news outlets because of failure to obtain permission from the host governments to cover protests. As readership of Arabic language blogs increased, so did the number of blogs themselves, reaching nearly 40,000 Arabic blogs by 2006 (Hamdy, 93). By 2005, blogs were no ... • 11. Rhetorical Analysis Of Why Millennials Will Save Us All Millennials may be criticized, but they are a generation like no other. In the article Why Millennials Will Save Us All, Joel Stein asserts that millennials are a positive force of change. Stein s intent is to convince his target audience, older generations who perceive millennials as lazy, entitled, selfish and shallow (28), that they misunderstand millennials. He boldly claims that [millennials are] not a new species; they ve just mutated to adapt to their environment (31). Stein persuades his audience that millennials are most certainly a treasure trove of remarkable qualities. He accomplishes this by switching tones in the middle of the article, using humorous language, and establishing credibility through his mastery of logos. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the first half of the article, Stein inserts disapproving evidence about millennial traits, pointing out how 58% more college students scored higher on a narcissism scale in 2009 than in 1982 (28). Stein provides these statistics to convince his target audience of his credibility by giving them evidence that peaks the interest of their judgemental views. After his tone shift, Stein reveals all of his equally valid data on the positive aspects of millennials. The audience discovers in the second half of the article that nearly a quarter of DreamWorks 2,200 employees are under 30, and the studio has a 96% retention rate (32). This supports Stein s claim by using logos to show millennials work ethic, one of their many redeeming qualities. Since the audience has already accepted Stein s pessimistic evidence earlier in the article, they are willing to accept his positive evidence as well. In this way, Stein avoids assaulting his readers with evidence that supports his controversial claim by first easing his audience into his article with evidence they readily agree with. By the end of his article, Stein has integrated enough logos to convince his audience of the legitimacy of his claim while balancing out the informal sections of his ... • 14. The Modern Prison System And The American Government System If there is one thing that makes the world run efficiently, it s money. Having money and adequate funds, leads to power and peace, no matter the business you re in. This is no different in the correction industry, one of the least funded areas in the American government system. For as long as America has been founded, there have been a prison system. Granted early systems were horrendous and treated criminals as less than human beings, the modern prison system isn t perfect either. Even after hundreds of years, the American prison system is flawed. Corrections industries do not communicate with each other causing disparity in the way places are run and which programs are truly helpful in getting people back into society successfully. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The staff in corrections is so large, because there is a huge number of people in the actual prisons, an even bigger number of people on parole, and people in general needing to be protected. With more than 2.3 million people locked up, the United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world. 1 out of 100 American adults is behind bars, meaning that with that many people needing to be incarcerated, governments should be focused on opening new facilities and expanding instead of making across the board cuts and shutting down much needed buildings. Though the corrections industry is only one part of the entire Criminal justice system, it is argued to be one of the most important. The local, state, and the federal government spend about $74 billion dollars a year on correctional institutions, and nearly 800,000 people work in the industry. In corrections, budget is being diminished at an astounding rate. Prisons are getting closed, there s less money for necessary equipment, there are fully trained staff member losing their jobs, and lower staff/inmate ratios. Governments are doing whatever they can to save, but eventually there s nowhere else to cut, and the situation becomes very dangerous for not only inmates, but for the guards there as well. • 15. Persuasive Essay On Prejudice And Discrimination When someone thinks of the word prejudice, he or she might think the word only refers to racial prejudice between those of different skin colors or looks. However, that is not the case. Prejudice goes deeper than that. Prejudices and stereotypes are usually negative thoughts or beliefs that people place on each other based on differences, such as religion, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, gender, or geographic location. Recently, Muslims have been a huge target for prejudice and discrimination. Ever since the incident of 9/11, when a terrorist group purposely crashed planes into the World Trade Center, Muslims have never been treated the same. That is reflected with the introduction of various bills and legislation, the implementation of stricter immigration laws, and the addition of stricter airport laws policies. Although I do think we can reduce the amount of prejudice in our societies among Muslims, I do not believe that prejudice and discrimination will ever completely go away. Islamophobia, the irrational fear or dislike against Islam or Muslims, very much existed before the 9/11 attacks; however, it increased drastically across the world after that horrible incident. Due to the increase of national fear in the United States after the attacks, immigration laws became much stricter. One author states that these laws were put into place by the USA Patriot Act, the Enhanced Border Security and Visa Entry Reform Act, and many others (Villemez, 2). According to ... • 16. Brown Adipose Tissue (BAT) Brown adipose tissue (BAT) is derived from the mesenchymal precursor cell which also seems to give rise to muscle . BATis located mainly around the neck, paravertebral sites, kidneys and large blood vessels of the thorax. As previously mentioned above, Marcus (1988), demonstrated that TSH induced lipolysis in BAT from newborns and infants but this declined with age. Recent studies have profiled different layers of BAT in adults, particularly in the neck and between the shoulder blades (Nedergaard, 2013). BAT contains multilocular lipid droplets and a high mitochondrial content. Its primary function is to liberate energy as heat via the consumption of stored energy. This is mediated by the uncoupling protein 1 (Ucp 1), which embeds in the inner mitochondrial membrane and produces heat by dissipating the proton electrochemical gradient over the inner mitochondrial membrane space without generating ATP. The energy in BAT? is stored as perilipin coated lipid droplets and glycogen granules. Upon temperature stimulation glucose and fatty acid uptake is rapidly increased to replenish its supplies (reviewed in Sanchez Gurmaches, 2013). BRITE adipose tissue occurs within WAT tissue depots, in response to chronic cold exposure. Beige adipose tissue has the characteristics of both white and brown adipocytes. They appear to be like WAT in basal states but upon cold stimulation, they behave like BAT by becoming multilocular and expressing the brown fat marker UCP1. However, they are ... The article that outlines the study, titled Alcohol consumption and risk of dementia: the Rotterdam Study, introduces the experiment as a part of the Rotterdam Study: a prospective, population based cohort study that sought to investigate factors that led to health problems in the elderly. Jason is the victim in this tragic grouping of events. Medea punishes him, because she feels that he wronged her, even though her gruesome plans were much more sophisticated and horrid than Jason s acts against Medea. You who have had the heart to raise a sword against/Your children, you, their mother, and left me childless /You have done this, and do you still look at the sun/And at the earth, after these most fearful doings?/ I wish you were dead (Euripides 43). It is vital to know what the enemy is planning to do and when they plan to execute their plans. This vital need has always caused the need for spies to conduct the espionage on enemies. However, the information that the spies collected was only as valuable as the amount of trust placed on a spy. A spy can gather information on enemies plans and report back to their boss, but if the boss does not trust the spy it could cause vital information to go unnoticed or not receive the proper urgency. These doubts about notes and letters are not limited to spymasters alone, many everyday citizens rely on the letters and notes of others. In his novel Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Gabriel García Márquez uses letters and notes written between characters as a metaphor to represent the doubts the characters have about the information they are receiving. In order to better understand Márquez s metaphor the letters Angela receives from her mother about San Roman, the letters returned to Nasar by his fiancée, and the letters written to San Roman from Angela can all be further examined. Ending political corruption is nearly impossible because public officials will always find a loophole in the existing laws but reducing corruption is possible. The most efficient way to dramatically reducing political corruption is by targeting the Legislative branch of the United States government. Two members of Congress are trying to exactly do that by proposing a law, At the federal level, that would impose term limits on members of Congress. Senator Ted Cruz and Representative Ron DeSantis are both pushing an amendment to be added to the United States Constitution which would impose term limits on members of the House of Representative and the Senate. Hip hop has been around since the 80s but it has become increasingly popular throughout all of our community. Rap artists started out rapping about where they were from and the life they lived, and eventually it turned into rappers speaking about women, their riches and other social things. Hip hop however for some artists it was a way to express themselves and show us what reality actually was for them. They spoke about things such as police brutality, black rights, natural catastrophes, and many other things that we weren t exposed to, or didn t know about. This is significant because music is heard by everyone, and if that person can make a song that sounds appealing to people, that person could send a message to other people about things happening far away from them. I imagine that rappers started talking about their struggles and it became something that millions of people heard.
