Abstract
In arid irrigated areas, understanding the impact of shallow groundwater on soil
salinization is becoming critical for suggesting possible options of improving land
productivity. In this study, under saline irrigationconditions, the effects of shallow
groundwater depth on water and salt dynamics in the root zone of date palms were
analyzed in a Tunisian Saharan oasis (Lazala Oasis) using the HYDRUS 1D model.
Measured data of soil electrical conductivities were used in model validation. The
comparison between simulated and measured data demonstrated that the HYDRUS
1D gave an acceptable estimation of water and salt dynamics in the root zone of date
palms. Under frequent irrigations with saline water (6 dS m 1), scenario simulations
were performed with different depths of shallow groundwater. The simulation results
reveal that, during the summer season, high irrigation frequency and shallow
groundwater with low depth (0.8 m) are required to maintain adequate soil water

bone growth disorder that causes disproportionate dwarfism in which cartilage is not

Greek Influence On Theatre
Theatre did not have much influence on my life yet attending a Broadway musical
theatre was one of the top things on my bucket list. Prior to taking this class, the
only interaction I had with theatre was back in high school when I joined an Improv
club. I was shy and afraid of getting humiliated because I didn t know anything about
theatreand I felt like all the people around me are judgmental and unkind. However,

Advantages The organization I decided to survey was United Community options
of Miami. UCO of Miami is a Non Profit organization that serves adults and
children with disabilities. UCO has a day program for adults where they can
participate in recreational activities, go on excursions and also offer adults with
disabilities employment skills training. United Community options was
established in 1947 and has always aimed to being accessible for people with
disabilities. The first thing I notice when I entered the parking lot was that UCO
had four accessible parking spots and out of those four spots two are van
accessible. They also have accessible drop off areas and accessible routes to get to

Overpopulation Is A Global Catastrophe
Naturally, as our population grows in size our growth rate increases exponentially.
As a result, we face the issue of overpopulation, one of the many dangerous trends
discussed in Anthony Barnosky and Elizabeth Hadly s Tipping Point for Planet
Earth. Currently, if we do not make any changes, it is expected that we will reach a
populationsize over twenty seven billion people by the year 2100. Along with this
massive increase in population size, we will also face a rise in food and water
shortages, an increase in population density, and an overall loss of quality of life. In
order to prevent these potential effects, Barnosky and Hadly suggested three possible
solutions to combating overpopulationa global catastrophe, a one child policy, or an
increase in education, job, and contraception availability among girls. Any one of
these solutions will potentially help us prevent overpopulation; however, exactly
which solution it ends up being all depends on our preparation and the actions we
take now. Ideally, we would like to avoid a global catastrophe that would decimate
the population. But, if we are unable to lower our growth rate another world war, or
something like a pandemic could occur. While no correlation between population
density and nation level conflict has been made, the connection between

Executive Summary
Navistar was a worldwide leader in the manufacturing medium and heavy trucks for
17 consecutive years in the North American market. Navistar s premium conventional
trucks were produced at the Chatham assembly plant, which had almost 14 years
experience in producing Navistar s premium line since 1983. Navistar had forecasted
increased industry demand for heavy and medium trucks in 1998. Especially, the
Chatham assembly plant s customers had strict requirements to the truck s quality and
delivery date. As the assembly supervisor in Chatham, Andy Ramsz encountered the
interior trim quality and delivery problem for the truck. Andy had begun to gather

Environment and Root Cause Analysis Navistar considered quality and on time
delivery as a priority that came before costs; therefore, top management as well as
initiatives to improve processes and on time delivery supported various improvement
initiatives to quality programs. Andy is an assembly supervisor but had very broad
job responsibilities. Andy s time was taken up in areas such as supplier quality
evaluations, internal process documentation, process improvement, and much more.
His focus was very widespread and his day was drawn away from scheduled and
unscheduled meetings; this position required long hours and weekend work. In
addition to the quality issues, truck interior trim shortages was another challenge,
which resulted in reordering of trim parts leading to additional material handling, and
post assembly installation. These delayed parts required overtime that increased cost
and delayed delivery of the finished truck of the customer. Issues came from both
Navistar and their supplier Trimco. Navistar had design changes such as different
sizes, repositioning of mechanisms and other various designer and material changes;
however, these changes to the truck interiors were not communicated to Trimco
before production runs were completed. As a result, parts were shipped with different

(Shelley 2).Robert feels this voyage will validate him. Shelley herself subtly
indicts Victor s parents in exactly this way; and [shelley] suggests an even subtler
subtext of family conflict in the letters Walton writes to Margaret, (Claridge).
Robert wants this voyage to give him the recognition he lacks.It can be argued this
is due to a lack of acceptance by his Father. these volumes were my study day and
