White Americans In Education Case Study
As a whole, Black Americans are behind in comparison White population in terms of education. In
elementary school, Black children have been found to be behind their white peers in regards to
language acquisition and reading abilities. This has been attributed to the percentage of children who
are being read to at home prior to entering into school. While 89% of White children were being read
to prior to entering school, only 71% of Black children were (Hoffman, Llagas Snyder, 2003, p. 37).
Being read to as well as learning how to read at the levels of their peers has a positive correlation with
school outcomes later in life. This leads to an increased likelihood of a Black child being held back
due to skills that are not up to the same standard

Missionary Progression
Not everyone is suited to be a missionary, the career takes patience, endurance, as well as a passion to
take on any task at hand. This occupation presents an opportunity to travel to foreign nations and be
immersed in exotic cultures. Although missionaries are not paid well if paid at all the worldly
knowledge and gratitude received is reward enough. This is more than a career, it s an all consuming
life style. The goal of a missionary is to enlighten non believers of Jesus Christ and integrate new
believers into the community of God fearing people. Mission work is the most intrinsically rewarding
field because it grants the experience to travel the world while spreading the love of God, build

Missionaries can live off of their salaries, but the money covers only basic living with little excess.
Our combined salary was $24,000 a year, no, we were not living off of scraps, but budgeting was
extremely important. (Belle Isle, A.). The work done by evangelists is truly from care and compassion,
not from money, stability, or the chance of a promotions. Entry level is exit level in the mission field.
(cmalliance.org). There is no climbing to the top, corner office, or big shots in missions but people
who are genuinely called to the mission field do not mind. This career relies heavily upon one s faith
in the Lord and trust that He will persevere through all trials and burdensome times. I keep my eyes
always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. (Psalm 16:8) is the anthem for
many working in missions. Traveling while telling others of Christ is wonderful, especially receiving a
pay check while doing so, however missionaries do have to leave their families behind in order to go
serve the multitude. Saying goodbye to loved ones is not a simple task, however missionaries except
that as part of the job in order to go spread to love to people. The positives of mission work outweigh
the negatives tremendously. Mission work is strenuous, however yields wonderful results of newborn
Christians which is the grandest reward that anyone could ask for. All in all, traveling while sharing
the good news, getting to build relationships with missionaries and a variety of people from different
cultures, and experiencing first hand foreign doings is all in a days work for a missionary, which is
why it is the most intrinsically rewarding job

Multi Sport Training Research Paper
When you approach your multisport training, the best way to answer your questions is to better
understand the principles behind the work you are putting in to improve. These are seven basic
principles of exercise or sport training you will want to keep in mind:
Individuality
Everyone is different and responds differently to training. Some people are able to handle higher
volumes of training while others may respond better to higher intensities. This is based on a
combination of factors like genetic ability, predominance of muscle fiber types, other factors in your
life, chronological or athletic age, and mental state.
Specificity
Improving your ability in a sport is very specific. If you want to be a great pitcher, running laps will
help ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Your muscles will atrophy and the cellular adaptations like increased capillaries (blood flow to the
muscles) and mitochondria density will reverse. You can slow this rate of loss substantially by
conducting a maintenance/reduced program of training during periods where life gets in the way, and
is why just about all sports coaches ask their athletes to stay active in the offseason.
The principles of specificity, progression, overload, adaptation, and reversibility are why practicing
frequently and consistently are so important if you want to improve your performance. Missed
sessions cannot really be made up within the context of a single season. They are lost opportunities for
improvement. Skipping your long ride on weekend A means you can t or shouldn t go as far as
originally planned on weekend B (progression overload). Skipping your Monday swim means your
swimming skills and muscles won t be honed or stressed that day (specificity). Missing a week due to
a vacation sets you back more than one week (adaptation and reversibility). Apply these principles to
your training to get a better understanding of your body and how to achieve

Consequences Of The Thirty Years War
The Thirty Years War marked the end of Reformation and was the last major religious war in Europe.
Whilst it started as a religious war between the Catholic Habsburg leader and the Protestant
Bohemians in the Holy Roman Empire, during its progress it became a European war, where most of
the dominant powers got involved. Soon the religious focus shifted and the war became more about
power, influence and territories. The consequences of the war and the Treaty of Westphalia were long
lasting and complex on Europe s international relations.
In order to understand not just the progress of the war, but also the consequences, it is necessary to
consider, what has led up to the breakout of the war. The most uniting power at the time was not
language, but religion, which was conflicting in the Holy Roman Empire. After the Peace of Augsburg
in 1555, cuius regno, eius religio was established. Meaning that the ruler can decide the religion of the
people under his ruling, as either Catholic or Lutheran, but not Calvinist. Despite, Calvinism spread,
including to the Palatinate state, which was among the seven states, which named the Holy Roman
emperor. Additionally he created the Protestant Union, which pursued support from the French, Dutch
and English. Moreover, international tension was rising. Habsburg Spain was planning to fight against

The Theory Of Decision Making
In our everyday life we are in front of multiple decisions to take, from the easy ones as what coffee to
get to the more complicated ones, as what jobs to apply for. The word Decision originated from Latin
word de ciso which indicates cutting off . This implicates that the act of deciding is to come to a
conclusion among different options. How many options are available though? Throughout the years,
many behavioural scientists proposed different theories in order to explain how we face decisions and
act before them. Do we calculate them all accurately before cutting off ? One of the most recognized
theories for decision making is the von Neumann Morgenstern utility theorem (1944), which states
that the decision maker in front of all the different choices will behave as if he is maximizing the
expected value of some function defined over the potential outcomes. Based on the expected utility,
the von Neumann Morgenstern model is constructed upon the fundamental assumption that humans
behave in a perfect rational way being able to calculate all the options and choosing among them the
one that allows to maximize the expected utility. However, as the major critics to this model sustain,
individuals are not fully rational when taking decisions. Their cognitive process is limited to the
complexity of the environment in which they are taking decisions. The homo economicus is portrayed
as capable of solving complex problems of optimization of resources allocation as well as

Some people think that airplanes are meaningless flying through the sky, but airplanes have a long
history and makes society a better place. In my opinion the airplanes have the greatest impact on
society. To begin with airplanes has a long history of impacting society. The airplane was invented in
1903. In 1799 George Caley set forth of the concept for a modern airplane than later on built some
models of his own. Back in 1783 people like George worked on building airplanes but at first the
airplanes couldn t fly as the inventors wanted to but at once the very first flying airplane in 1903
finally flew by the wright brothers. For example the airplane

Adam Smith Economics
Adam Smith thought that Political Economy considered as a branch of a statesman or legislator which
propose two distinct objects which proposes to enrich both people and the sovereign. First, to provide
a plentiful revenue or subsistence for the people or more properly to enable them to provide such a
revenue or subsistence for themselves. Second, to supply the state or commonwealth with a revenue
sufficient for the public services.
In the chapter I of this book, Smith criticizing the economy theory and policy come first before his
thought about progression about public well being wealth. First, Smith critizes about form of wealth in
money (gold and silver). Wealth and money in common language are considered synonymous. Adam
Smith critizes based on the fact that money is used as an instrument of trade or exchange in a state or
between states. Also, it is used to command labor such as to maintain fleets and armies in distant
countries which are the true measures of wealth. Therefore, this lead the government to prohibit the
exportation of gold and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The benefits are two folds: first, this trade carriers out the surplus part of the produce of a particular
country for which there is no demand at home, and brings back something else for which there is a
demand. Second, it gives value to the surplus produce, which because of a lack of demand, would
otherwise have no value. Foreign trade itself broaden the home market, and by introducing new goods
allows the division of labor be carried out to the highest perfection. Adam Smith provides the example
of the American colonies. He argues that it is not the discovery of gold and silver in those lands which
has enriched Europe, but the provision of a new and ample market with which to trade. This broad
market, in turn, helped encourage the division of

Primary And Secondary Sources On The Battle Of Shiloh
Accounts from Shiloh
One of the major events of the American Civil War is the Battle of Shiloh, which took place on August
6 and 7th in 1862. The Battle of Shiloh was the bloodiest battle at that point in time in the Civil War.
There were more than 23,000 combined causalities. The Battle of Shiloh not only was an important
victory for the Union, but a point that changed the dynamics behind soldiers fighting. There are
multitudes of primary sources along with many secondary sources on the Battle of Shiloh. Both types
of sources have their advantages and disadvantages. Primary and secondary sources each offer their
own distinctive perspectives on the Battle of Shiloh.

The information that Bragg recorded is much different from many of the other primary sources. He
received information that was more accurate and realized that the Confederates did not have a victory
at Shiloh. Bragg wrote that Beauregard fell back to Corinth. He goes on to state, Reinforcements had
been rec d by the enemy and that he [Beauregard] had not been able to secure all the artillery
ammunition which they lost in the battle. This shows how the Confederacy has failed to complete their
objective of driving back the Union army before it was reinforced. It also mentions how they could
not secure the Union s artillery and ammunition because they were driven back to Corinth on the
second day. The information that Thomas Bragg received is accurate from a factual standpoint. One of
the possible reasons the information he received was good was because of his position in the
Confederate government. Information was most likely received directly from officers and not clouded
by rumors or speculations and views of soldiers. Braggs perspective and understanding of the Battle of
Shiloh is much more broad as well.
The Battle of Shiloh not only was a decisive battle in the early civil war, but it also changed how
soldiers regarded bravery and honor on the battlefield. Cyrus F. Boyd describes his late arrival to
reinforce Grant at the battle of

Comparison Of The Passage In Fasting Feasting, By Anita Desai
The passage in Fasting, Feasting, by Anita Desai, Arun is out of his comfort zone going to the beach.
Arun from the very start, starts making excuses to not go to the beach. He also, does not want to be
anywhere close to Melanie While they walk to the beach. He complains about the noises of the
wilderness and how horrible they are. He does these things because he does not feel comfortable in
these places he has never been before. He talks about how his hands are sweaty and his hair on his
neck raises. He also, wonders why people live in such close area to the wilderness. The story says The
town may be small and have little to offer, but how passionately he prefers its post office, its shops, its
dry cleaning stores and picture framers to this creeping curtain of insidious green...(Desai). This
complaining about the wilderness is most likely due to the fact that he has most likely stayed in town
most of his stay in America. He has adapted to the town he has probably only really seen. 2.
The passage from Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv, he uses many examples to prove his
argument that we are separating from nature. He starts it off by talking about how they soon will be
able to decide the color on butterfly s wings and how they can use nature to advertise. The Nature we
all go visit is not real nature it s advertised and is not worth going to. They use parks and beaches to
get there product out there just for some money to keep the area clean and well kept. It leads into
talking about how we she nature from inside a car most of the time not in person. It talks about how
now we don t even need to pay attention to the nature now because we have gps that guide us to our
destination so we don t need to memorize routes. Even people in the back seat don t have to pay
attention anymore as tvs are now in cars to either watch movies or play games. It says Perhaps we ll
someday tell our grandchildren stories...We actually looked out the car window(Louv). This is a little
stretched because most likely kids will still look out the windows when they don t have a movie
playing or they are bored of what they were doing beforehand. 3.

Evolution Of Boxing Essay
The origins of modern boxing dates back to England in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Although protoforms of blood sports and combat date back to ancient Greece and Rome it has a totally
different concept as the boxing we know today. The antecedent of the boxing we understand today was
bareknuckle prizefighting. Bareknuckle prizefighting became popular about the same time England
emerged as a major capitalist world power. The rise of the sport boxing came in a part from the growth
of commercialized leisure and popular recreation. London prize ring rules governed the sport of
prizefighting as a bare knuckle event or contest until the gloves were introduced. The evolution of
boxing has had a great change such as the history of boxing, women in boxing, and even the style and
rules have changed ( Boxing Early 1). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

boxing. When the concept of boxing began they just got in the ring and fought until someone could

There are some great names in the sport of boxing ranging from Mike Tyson to Muhammad Ali.
Boxers dedicate their whole lives to the sport just like any other athlete, like a football player.
Muhammad Ali was born on January 17 in Louisville, Kentucky (Diamond 6). Muhammad Ali s real
name is Cassius Clay but he prefers to be called Muhammad Ali or just Ali. Ali began boxing at the
age of twelve, his style of fighting was not very orthodox but it was effective. It is believed that his
style and quickness made it easy for him to dodge the opponent s punches. (Diamond 6,

Strauss-Howe s Generations
Generations
Strauss Howe s generational theory explains in detail how the year in which you are born affects your
development, attitudes and socialisation in society. William Strauss and Neil Howe designed the
theory to be a recurring cycle in America. The generation you are born into can reflect your traits and
be a reflection on what type of person you will grow up to be. Strauss Howe examined the patterns in
historical generations and used generational events to create a theory revolving around it. These
generational events are known as turnings.
Although the Strauss Howe generation theory is easy to understand, there can be exceptions. For
example, a baby boomer can adjust their lifestyle and attitudes to be more like the younger
generations. Family, culture, gender, sexuality, beliefs, location, social class, peers, school and media
are all factors that can influence how a person may fit into a certain generation. Due to these factors,
many questions can be asked about this theory differing between people born in different countries,
people of different cultural, and of different social classes and status.

Revolution of music in the 1960s Essay
Revolution of Music Music has continued to change throughout each decade, but the 1960s was the
most influential decade in the history of music. Starting in the early 1950s, rock music was first
introduced. Major record labels were releasing new cover songs which were originally made by black
artist, but now by white artist (Rock and Roll). These cover songs changed a few lyrics from the
original songs to avoid copyright issues and to also make the song more appropriate for the white
listeners. The biggest star of the 1950s was Elvis Presley, who was known as the King of rock n roll .

Popular folk artist gave their own opinions on war, racism civil rights, justice, and the establishment
through their music (Holland107). The suggestion of rebellion interested the baby boom generation.
Two of the top folk artists from the 1960s were Joan Baez and Bob Dylan. Joan Baez was referred to
as a political singer/activist and she was known as the Queen of Folk music (Joan Baez). Bob Dylan
created plenty of politically based songs that directly warned specific areas of politics, like
congressmen and senators, who wanted to stop the civil rights and peace movements (Holland 107
108). Lastly there was the genre Motown which hit its peak of popularity in the 1960s. It brought a
new rhythm called the back beat that was enjoyed because it was easy to dance to. Berry Gordy Jr.
started the Motown Company in 1962 and brought up artists like Smokey Robinson and the Miracles,
Little Stevie Wonder, The Jackson Five, and Diana Ross and the Supremes (Holland 109). All of these
artists are well known and still listened to today. The racial diversity of mainstream music in the 1960s
was widely spread, which is why this was such a significant decade for music. There was a so called
British invasion that took place roughly between 1964 and 1966. British bands like the Rolling Stones,
the Kinks, the Animals, the Beatles, and many more came to America bringing their version of rock
music with a British twist (British Invasion). The

To What Extent Does Criminal Law Reflect the Moral and...
To what extent does criminal law reflect the moral and ethical standards of society?
Criminal law is a construct of the government, enforced through tangible measures. In a democratic
society, the government is elected by the citizens, and as such, laws are generally conceived with the
aim to reflect whatever ethical or moral standards are presently acceptable. However, in order to be
truly effective, some legislation must circumvent current sociological viewpoints in order to create
laws that are genuinely in the best interests of society. This results in a delicate balancing act, as
lawmakers attempt to weigh the views of the majority against the need for laws to be both reasoned
and objective.
One example of law being a reflection of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The law and legal processes are utilised in various ways in order to provide a fair and just trial process
for the victim and the accused, as well as the general community. There are set standards ensuring that
the trial process is a fair one for all involved, as a functioning, fair and efficient justice system is the
cornerstone of any true democracy.
In most cases, one of the main objectives of courts and the sentences they impose is that of
rehabilitation. This is evidenced through a growing move in favour of a more holistic approach to
justice, trying to address the issues which may have led to the crime, rather than just punishing the end
result. One of the prime examples of this therapeutic approach to justice is the introduction of the
Drug Court. Governed by the Drug Court Act 1998, the Drug court has both Local court and District
court jurisdiction, and seeks to target the causes of drug related criminal behaviour. It achieves this by
ensuring that those who go through it receive treatment for their addictions, thereby reducing their
propensity to reoffend, as many crimes are motivated by the need to satisfy addictions.

Alien Abductions Essay
The Psychology Behind Alien Abductions
Alien abductions are no longer things of science fiction novel and movies. In the late 1940s, UFO and
alien sightings became a nation wide phenomenon. With the reported sightings and abductions, came
mass media, but also heavy criticism. If nothing else, these descriptions illustrate that the AAE is a
dynamic, elaborate, and involved experience, rich in contextual detail, with considerable perceptual,
psychological, cognitive, and physical concomitants (p. 255). Over the course of seventy years,
scientists have delved into the mindset of these victims and uncovered the underlying causes of the
reported experiences. Extensive research has been conducted to determine the psychological aspects

Donald Spence believes that this may be the case in his article Abduction Tales as Metaphors . The
alien narrative is a substitute for the cultural crisis Robert Thoreau describes as a less empowered,
more alienated, and less predictable citizens (Spence 177). Most abductions have the similar traits of
powerlessness and uncertainty, while powerful beings degrade their bodies and leave them
traumatized (177). When contrasting modern day abductions and mid twentieth century ones, Spence
found that the narratives are also reflective of our times. Early aliens were generally characterized as a
jovial creatures, while modern day extraterrestrials are described as malevolent creatures. The stark
contrast is a subliminal metaphor for the cultural atmosphere of the time. The early Kennedy and
Eisenhower years marker great progress within the American society and stability. As the political and
cultural climates have changed, the tales of little gray men turn into an ominous fight for freedom.
Deciphering the actual cause of reports alien abductions may never be solved, but many psychologists
have theories. While Spence believes the alien abduction phenomenon is a metaphor for our society,
psychologist Roy Baumeister believes reports are made by masochists. A person who is sexually
gratified by pain, degradation, etc., that is self imposed or imposed by others. Dr. Baumeister believes

step in the procedure; a diagram of the construction was included in Figure 1.A. In a clean 50 mL
Erlenmeyer flask, 5 mL of water were placed, and, with extreme caution, 4.0 mL (8.0 g, 0.08 mol) of
concentrated sulfuric acid were added to the flask while swirling; it was emphasized that this acid can
be highly corrosive and should be handled with care, especially while pouring it into the water1. It
was observed that the flask began to heat up as the acid was added, and began to release a gas for a
brief moment. Afterwards, the diluted acid was allowed to cool to about room temperature and 3.2 mL
(3.0 g, 0.030 mol) of cyclohexanol were added to the mixture. The contents of the flask were carefully
transferred to a 25 mL round bottom flask that was attached to the distillation setup. The contents were
distilled at a steady pace, making sure that all the junctions and flasks were clasped appropriately in
order to avoid any accidents. The distillation was allowed to continue until the liquid found in the
starting flask turned black and began to emit a white gas. It was noted that at around 53 °C distillate
began to form, and at around 92 °C the liquid turned black. Approximately 2.8 mL of distillate

Pierre Bourdieu Habitus Capital And Field
Pierre Bourdieu was an acclaimed French sociologist, anthropologist and philosopher, who is still
noted today as being one of the most prominent and influential intellects in recent years. He is famous
for his contributions to many subjects and areas, and much of his work is still considered today as
being classics. His work is considered to be some of the most innovative and groundbreaking bodies
of theory and research in contemporary social science. He is still prominent today for his many great
contributions to the field of sociology, and though he has many revolutionary concepts, this essay will
focus on three; Bourdieu s concepts of habitus, capital and field, and a key sociological factor these
concepts help to explain. These three ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Field
Field is a term that was coined by Bourdieu himself, and is one of his core concepts. Bourdieu
investigated the connection between people s practises and the context in which these practises occur.
This led him to his concept of field. Deborah Reed Danahay says of field (2005, p. 134) Bourdieu
viewed the field as a concept that was relational rather than substantialist by which he meant an
approach that seeks substances or essences in individuals or groups, and which foregrounds the
individual . A field is defined as a setting in which agents (a person engaging in a social structure) and
their social positions are located. A field is a structured social space that is independent and has its
own set of rules. Instead of viewing society in terms of economic classes and ideologies, Bourdieu
considers the role of educational and cultural factors also. Modern society has many fields; Bourdieu
sees everyday life as consisting of many different fields. Amongst these are politics, education and
law. It is the site of struggle for power between the dominant and subordinate classes. Bourdieu
described the field as a space in which a game took place, between people who are competing for the
same thing; the acquisition of capital. A person s position in a particular field is also dependent on
their own capital, and on their habitus. As stated by Michael Grenfell (2004, p. 172) All those active
within the field share a resonant habitus; in fact, the field chooses the

Korean War Essays
On 26 June, one day after 90,000 North Korean troops, armed with Soviet weapons, crossed the 38th
parallel to invade South Korea, President Harry Truman directed U.S. military forces to assist South
Korea. This began the Korean War, which came at a time when America was becoming more and
more fearful of Communism. The fact that Communist China and the Soviet Union were backing the
North Koreans added to American fears of a quot;Communist Takeover quot; of the world. Led by
General Douglas MacArthur, American troops spent three years fighting in Korea. The war ended in
stalemate in 1953 with the North Koreans north of the 38th parallel, a border that still separates North

Essay On Pretzel
The first pretzel in the world was created by a monk in Italy around 610. Some say that a pretzel was
initially called a bracellae . Strips of dough are baked by the monk and he folded the strips into
crossed arms shape which looks like the posture of a child crossing his arms in prayer. Baked pretzels
were given to children who were able to memorize and recite the prayer correctly. However, there is
no documented evidence to prove that this story was real. The three holes of pretzel represent the Holy
Trinity which comes with Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The twisted part of the pretzel brings the
meaning of good luck, prosperity and long life. It was quite surprising when we got the pretzel that we
have ordered. The size of the pretzel was big and the shape was formed almost perfectly. All of us
think that it worth the price since it is cheaper compared to other pretzels out there. The color of the
pretzel was golden brown and the surface was covered with the mixture of cinnamon and brown sugar.

The Relation Between Birds and Dinosaurs Essay
The Relation Between Birds and Dinosaurs
One question that has stumped many paleontologists for centuries is, Are birds dinosaurs?
Paleontologists have argued back and forth trying to prove or disprove each side of the theory. So far,
advocates have supported their side through the facts of similar bone structures, bone organization,
and the idea that dinosaurs had feathers. A common reaction that some people might have about the
question is that there is no connection between the two species. Their main reasoning for this
conclusion is based on the belief that the two do not have any similar characteristics. I too believed
that there was no correlation between the two animals. However, after extensive research, I have

Therefore, the dinosaur found in this position is assumed to be warm blooded, another similarity
shared between birds and dinosaurs (Lemmonick 74 par. 1,7).
Some skeptics might argue that there is no possible way that a dinosaur was found in the crouching
position. They might also reason that when a dinosaur dies, it lies down and dies. I can agree with this
statement somewhat, but I have a few reasons for believing that the dinosaur was discovered in the
position they claimed. One idea is that the dinosaur could have been propped up against a hill or by
something big and sturdy. Another explanation for the dinosaur s position is that the dinosaur could
have died in its sleep. To the best of my knowledge, dinosaurs sleep standing up, or at least they did in
all the Jurassic Park movies. There is more logic supporting the fact that a dinosaur was found in the
crouching position than disproving it.
In addition to having similar bone structures, birds and dinosaurs also have hollow bones. Hollow
bones are believed to reduce the weight of animals, which requires less work for flying. In actuality,
the hollowness reduces the weight of the animal by only a minute percentage. Therefore, it is
theorized that hollow bones originated long before flight was introduced. One possible function of the
hollow bones was to cool down the body faster, by allowing air to flow through the bones. Another
practicality for hollow bones is the idea that they could

Was Bill Clinton Impeachment Justified
For this assignment I chose Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton was impeached on two charges: lying under oath
and obstruction of justice. Mr. Clinton lied under oath about his affair with Monica Lewinsky, but that
was not the grounds for impeachment. So, was Bill Clinton s impeachment justified? No. There
cannot have been an obstruction of justice if the per suite of truth in this case was not itself a just
pursuit. You were lied to, yes by the President, who had an understandable and very personal reason to

Lord Capulet To Blame In Romeo And Juliet
The story of Romeo and Juliet, tragedy no doubt, but this 421 year old play doesn t have a defined
cause, until now. At the end of the novel, star crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet take their own lives.
What drew them to this, who got them in this position, is a hard question. My claim is that it was
Juliet s father Lord Capulet who should be blamed. He pressures Juliet, he s hasty and sporadic, and is
already half of the problem in the beginning. Lord Capulet isn t the best father. He pressures a forced
marriage on Juliet, when she is already married to Romeo. When she protests he throws a tantrum and
yells at Juliet. Proud, and I thank you, and I thank you not, And yet not proud ? Mistress minion you...

In the book he advances the wedding of Paris and Juliet a day earlier. He doesn t take no for an
answer. Lady Capulet: No not till Thursday. There is time enough. Capulet: Go, Nurse. Go with. We ll

paragraph 2, he throws a tantrum when he doesn t get what he wants. However, I do have a counter
argument. Who killed Romeo and Juliet is a grey area. It is a common theory that it was both of the
teens fault. Aristotle concluded more than 2,300 years ago that the young are heated by Nature as
drunken men by wine. (Beautiful Brains, Dobbs). Them dying could be easily avoidable if they didn t
kill themselves. On top of the 2 reasons I have presented, I have another. He was already the problem
when the book started. It was in fact Capulet s servants that started the fight at the beginning of the
book. If he was nice and pushed the family feud behind him, then Romeo and Juliet might have been
able to be public about their marriage. If he was a good father he would have done the right

Debate over the true authorship of the First Folio of William Shakespeare s plays began from the day

While there s no substitute for a professional inspection, it s not difficult to spot the need for shingle

Strength Training
The benefit of strength and strength training for footballers is well supported by research. For
example, De Proft and colleagues had one group of Belgian professionals perform extra weight
training during the season. Compared to a control group of colleagues who did no extra training, the
players improved their kicking power and leg strength. Reilly (1990)[2] showed that the stronger
players outlasted the weaker players in terms of a regular place in the team, and had reduced injury
risks. He recommends that leg strength in particular is developed, especially in the quadriceps and
hamstrings, to help stabilise the knee joint, which is the most frequently injured joint in football. Apor

These exercises demand a high force of contraction in response to a rapid loading of lengthening
muscles. For this reason, they should be more accurately called reversible action or rebound exercises.
The training effort increases the force production in the muscles, but the movements are performed at
faster speeds than weight training exercises. Thus rebound exercises are more specific to the sprinting
and jumping movements in football. These exercises should be done in 3 5 sets of 8 repetitions for
each leg, with at least one minute s rest between sets. The quality and speed of the movement is the
priority. The other training element that is required for improving sprinting speed is sprinting itself.
This should be done with maximum efforts over 30 60m. Again, at least one minute s rest between
runs should be allowed so that quality can be maintained. Remember, with this kind of training the
aim is to develop the maximum speed; endurance should not become a factor. Sprinting done uphill,
with weighted jackets, or towing weights is also useful because it adds resistance to the sprint
movement, placing greater load on the muscles in the most specific manner. Again, short distances
with long rests are

Symbols Of The Nobility And The Proletariat
Symbols of aristocratic authority in Miss Julie, facilitate societal discussion on ethically acceptable
behaviour as sexual, gender and class conflicts emerge through individuals having challenged
hierarchal structure despite having internalized distinct ideological frameworks. Strindberg utilizes
uncertainty and the reveling Midsummer atmosphere to justify aristocratic need for isolation in order
to maintain a guise of dominance. Julie s failure to embody submissive characteristics and conform to
social paradigms by alienating herself from the servitude, threatens the hierarchal structure, using
social structure to dictate ethical behaviour within society. Hence, Julie s death is justified as
necessary to reinstate social order through isolating and subjugating the proletariat. Liberation and
freedom are impossible to obtain due to the anxiety producing agency of the Count, symbolizing the
omnipresence of repressive Capitalist dictates due to the impact on psyche as a product of nurture.
Symbols of authority existing only to perpetuate elite authority are present in Jean as he is socially
alienated from the aristocracy, despite characteristically embodying the role. The juxtaposition of
symbols of the aristocracy and the proletariat are present when Jean [is] in morning coat and bowler ,
symbolizing Jean s finer sensibilities and ability to apply these within correct social environments.
Additionally, he attempts to assert himself within the formal social environment of

Persuasive Speech About Sports
As Kobe Bryant said; Sports are such a great teacher. I think of everything they taught me:
commodity, humility, and how to resolve differences . (Kobe Bryant). Sports are all over the world
and range from many activities such as hockey, basketball, football, cricket, swimming, and bowling. I
as a youth participated in many different sports including volleyball, basketball, soccer, golf, tennis,
and gymnastics and with all of these sports I was able to grow my confidence, determination, and
leadership that I now carry with me through life. All children benefit by being involved in a sport at
some point in their life. Today I will discuss the Health, social and psychological benefits and
Educational benefits that come from children participating in sports. Not every sport is for every child
and not everyone is amazing at sports, but all children should experience sports and find a sport they
love. With sports children can grow into healthy and athletic adults as well as successful humans with
high positivity in physical activity. Sports enhances the physical and mental developments of children
and aids their growth as they get older and become adults
I. Children grow with the help of sports. Children s health, social, and psychological benefits are
adapted at higher rates with the participation of sports. Sports positively affects aspects of children s
development with themselves and their esteem, others around them, the idea of working towards a

Rena’s Concept of Nation Building Based on Chavez and Morales
Ernst Renan s concept of nation is about a proposal that urges people to come together in order to have
consciousness about the process of building a nation and to forget about the differences in geography,
language, race, and religion. He insists on telling that a nation is composed of people s collaboration
and agreements to stay together and be governed by mutual approval because they shared a common
past. Based on this concept, we can say that Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales were trying to build a
nation by using history to unify the nation and to challenge the notion of geography and in the case of
Morales the language and race.

Similar to Chavez, Evo Morales contributed to the concept of geography as part of making a nation
because Bolivia is divided into two races groups: European and Indigenous. It was difficult for Evo to
be able to unify Bolivia for being an Indigenous person. He can be seemed as one of the men that
Renan mentioned who are healthy in mind and warm of heart because he was creating a kind of moral
conscience based on the coca leaf which he defended to be a form of food supply for the poor. As
well, he said that the growing of coca was a job for the peasant community (based on the film
Cocalero). In addition, we can see that the contact with the people by playing soccer games with the
local miners demonstrate the moral consciousness that he wanted to implement. The fact that Evo
spoke demonstrated that the language as Renan said need to be forget, even though, there was a great
percent of people who spoke Quechua. He wanted to reach everybody by speaking the primary
language. Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales had similar and different contributions about Rena s concept
of nation building. Chavez supported the ideas that geography was important to unify and to have
progress in the nation. While, Morales was challenging this characteristic because Bolivia is a perfect
example of how difficult is to govern when a nation is divided. Both Presidents were fighting for
agrarian reform and this made the poor to enforce the agenda of each president. They tried to reach
everyone and to

U.s. National Bureau Of Economic Research
In December of 2007 the Great Recession hit not only the american but the world s economy.
According to the U.S. National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) the struggle didn t end in the
United States until June 2009, and therefore had a duration of about 18 months. This global crisis
ranks fourth in terms of the weighted sum of countries suffering it (NBER). Consumers, who had been
the engine of the economy for the past several decades, suffered the loss of their jobs. Between 2008
and 2009, the U.S. labor market lost 8.4 million jobs, or 6.1% of all payroll employment (State of
Working America). This resulted in the most sever consumer spending decline since World War II and
the worst employment contraction since the Great Depression, reaching a peak of 10% of all the
workforce on October 2009 (BLS). The economy was already faltering in the banking sector, but it
finally crashed with the dearth of credit. As a heart distributes the blood throughout the human body,
even reaching the limbs, allowing the body to work properly, the banking sector pumps credit,
reaching every business in every sector. When the banking sector stops giving credit, the whole
economy freezes since businesses don t have means to pay their bills. There are reasons why the banks
stopped the flow of credit, and they could have been avoided if the government had corrected the bad
manners to which the banking sector was getting used, all driven by the ambition to generate more
revenue. The

Poverty Is A Serious World Problem Essay
If you were asked to donate some of your own items or money to help fight poverty, would you do it?
A substantial amount of the world s population suffers from some sort of poverty, whether it be
monetary poverty, or food poverty. Poverty has become such a prevalent issue throughout history, that
it isn t put into consideration as much as it should be. Poverty is a serious world problem, and truly
needs to be stopped. With the help of citizens of the world, and different groups, and charities, the
percentage of poverty stricken people around the world could be greatly shrunk.
Above all, poverty has countless effects on people, society, governments, etc. One of the multitude of
effects, mainly caused by food poverty, is malnutrition. Some families who suffer from poverty can t
afford to buy food, or buy healthy foods. The figures on food poverty are closer to reality than the
monetary poverty statistics, says Ivan Hidalgo. Hidalgo stated that the food poverty statistics are more
at large than the monetary poverty. Malnutrition can also lead to health issues such as diseases, while
most families cannot afford hospital care. Poverty also causes problem in education and societies. A
manifold of people struggling with poverty are not able to attend school, which will affect them for
the rest of their lives. The lack of education also greatly harms the economy of several countries.
Those who do not have any schooling often are not able to be employed anywhere, so they

  • 2. White Americans In Education Case Study As a whole, Black Americans are behind in comparison White population in terms of education. In elementary school, Black children have been found to be behind their white peers in regards to language acquisition and reading abilities. This has been attributed to the percentage of children who are being read to at home prior to entering into school. While 89% of White children were being read to prior to entering school, only 71% of Black children were (Hoffman, Llagas Snyder, 2003, p. 37). Being read to as well as learning how to read at the levels of their peers has a positive correlation with school outcomes later in life. This leads to an increased likelihood of a Black child being held back due to skills that are not up to the same standard ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This occupation presents an opportunity to travel to foreign nations and be immersed in exotic cultures. Although missionaries are not paid well if paid at all the worldly knowledge and gratitude received is reward enough. This is more than a career, it s an all consuming life style. The goal of a missionary is to enlighten non believers of Jesus Christ and integrate new believers into the community of God fearing people. Our combined salary was $24,000 a year, no, we were not living off of scraps, but budgeting was extremely important. (Belle Isle, A.). The work done by evangelists is truly from care and compassion, not from money, stability, or the chance of a promotions. Entry level is exit level in the mission field. (cmalliance.org). There is no climbing to the top, corner office, or big shots in missions but people who are genuinely called to the mission field do not mind. This career relies heavily upon one s faith in the Lord and trust that He will persevere through all trials and burdensome times. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. (Psalm 16:8) is the anthem for many working in missions. Traveling while telling others of Christ is wonderful, especially receiving a pay check while doing so, however missionaries do have to leave their families behind in order to go serve the multitude. Saying goodbye to loved ones is not a simple task, however missionaries except that as part of the job in order to go spread to love to people. The positives of mission work outweigh the negatives tremendously. Mission work is strenuous, however yields wonderful results of newborn Christians which is the grandest reward that anyone could ask for. All in all, traveling while sharing the good news, getting to build relationships with missionaries and a variety of people from different cultures, and experiencing first hand foreign doings is all in a days work for a missionary, which is why it is the most intrinsically rewarding job ... • 6. Multi Sport Training Research Paper When you approach your multisport training, the best way to answer your questions is to better understand the principles behind the work you are putting in to improve. These are seven basic principles of exercise or sport training you will want to keep in mind: Individuality Everyone is different and responds differently to training. Some people are able to handle higher volumes of training while others may respond better to higher intensities. This is based on a combination of factors like genetic ability, predominance of muscle fiber types, other factors in your life, chronological or athletic age, and mental state. Specificity Improving your ability in a sport is very specific. If you want to be a great pitcher, running laps will help ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Your muscles will atrophy and the cellular adaptations like increased capillaries (blood flow to the muscles) and mitochondria density will reverse. You can slow this rate of loss substantially by conducting a maintenance/reduced program of training during periods where life gets in the way, and is why just about all sports coaches ask their athletes to stay active in the offseason. The principles of specificity, progression, overload, adaptation, and reversibility are why practicing frequently and consistently are so important if you want to improve your performance. Missed sessions cannot really be made up within the context of a single season. They are lost opportunities for improvement. Skipping your long ride on weekend A means you can t or shouldn t go as far as originally planned on weekend B (progression overload). Skipping your Monday swim means your swimming skills and muscles won t be honed or stressed that day (specificity). Missing a week due to a vacation sets you back more than one week (adaptation and reversibility). • 7. Consequences Of The Thirty Years War The Thirty Years War marked the end of Reformation and was the last major religious war in Europe. Whilst it started as a religious war between the Catholic Habsburg leader and the Protestant Bohemians in the Holy Roman Empire, during its progress it became a European war, where most of the dominant powers got involved. Soon the religious focus shifted and the war became more about power, influence and territories. The consequences of the war and the Treaty of Westphalia were long lasting and complex on Europe s international relations. In order to understand not just the progress of the war, but also the consequences, it is necessary to consider, what has led up to the breakout of the war. The most uniting power at the time was not language, but religion, which was conflicting in the Holy Roman Empire. After the Peace of Augsburg in 1555, cuius regno, eius religio was established. Meaning that the ruler can decide the religion of the people under his ruling, as either Catholic or Lutheran, but not Calvinist. Despite, Calvinism spread, including to the Palatinate state, which was among the seven states, which named the Holy Roman emperor. • 8. The Theory Of Decision Making In our everyday life we are in front of multiple decisions to take, from the easy ones as what coffee to get to the more complicated ones, as what jobs to apply for. The word Decision originated from Latin word de ciso which indicates cutting off . This implicates that the act of deciding is to come to a conclusion among different options. How many options are available though? Throughout the years, many behavioural scientists proposed different theories in order to explain how we face decisions and act before them. Do we calculate them all accurately before cutting off ? One of the most recognized theories for decision making is the von Neumann Morgenstern utility theorem (1944), which states that the decision maker in front of all the different choices will behave as if he is maximizing the expected value of some function defined over the potential outcomes. Based on the expected utility, the von Neumann Morgenstern model is constructed upon the fundamental assumption that humans behave in a perfect rational way being able to calculate all the options and choosing among them the one that allows to maximize the expected utility. However, as the major critics to this model sustain, individuals are not fully rational when taking decisions. Their cognitive process is limited to the complexity of the environment in which they are taking decisions. The homo economicus is portrayed as capable of solving complex problems of optimization of resources allocation as well as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

First, to provide a plentiful revenue or subsistence for the people or more properly to enable them to provide such a revenue or subsistence for themselves. Second, to supply the state or commonwealth with a revenue sufficient for the public services. In the chapter I of this book, Smith criticizing the economy theory and policy come first before his thought about progression about public well being wealth. First, Smith critizes about form of wealth in money (gold and silver). Wealth and money in common language are considered synonymous. Adam Smith critizes based on the fact that money is used as an instrument of trade or exchange in a state or between states. Foreign trade itself broaden the home market, and by introducing new goods allows the division of labor be carried out to the highest perfection. The Battle of Shiloh not only was an important victory for the Union, but a point that changed the dynamics behind soldiers fighting. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The information that Bragg recorded is much different from many of the other primary sources. He received information that was more accurate and realized that the Confederates did not have a victory at Shiloh. Bragg wrote that Beauregard fell back to Corinth. He goes on to state, Reinforcements had been rec d by the enemy and that he [Beauregard] had not been able to secure all the artillery ammunition which they lost in the battle. This shows how the Confederacy has failed to complete their objective of driving back the Union army before it was reinforced. It also mentions how they could not secure the Union s artillery and ammunition because they were driven back to Corinth on the second day. The information that Thomas Bragg received is accurate from a factual standpoint. One of the possible reasons the information he received was good was because of his position in the Confederate government. Information was most likely received directly from officers and not clouded by rumors or speculations and views of soldiers. Braggs perspective and understanding of the Battle of Shiloh is much more broad as well. He complains about the noises of the wilderness and how horrible they are. He does these things because he does not feel comfortable in these places he has never been before. He talks about how his hands are sweaty and his hair on his neck raises. He also, wonders why people live in such close area to the wilderness. The story says The town may be small and have little to offer, but how passionately he prefers its post office, its shops, its dry cleaning stores and picture framers to this creeping curtain of insidious green...(Desai). This complaining about the wilderness is most likely due to the fact that he has most likely stayed in town most of his stay in America. He has adapted to the town he has probably only really seen. 2. The passage from Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv, he uses many examples to prove his argument that we are separating from nature. He starts it off by talking about how they soon will be able to decide the color on butterfly s wings and how they can use nature to advertise. The Nature we all go visit is not real nature it s advertised and is not worth going to. They use parks and beaches to get there product out there just for some money to keep the area clean and well kept. It leads into talking about how we she nature from inside a car most of the time not in person. It talks about how now we don t even need to pay attention to the nature now because we have gps that guide us to our destination so we don t need to memorize routes. Even people in the back seat don t have to pay attention anymore as tvs are now in cars to either watch movies or play games. Although protoforms of blood sports and combat date back to ancient Greece and Rome it has a totally different concept as the boxing we know today. The antecedent of the boxing we understand today was bareknuckle prizefighting. Bareknuckle prizefighting became popular about the same time England emerged as a major capitalist world power. The rise of the sport boxing came in a part from the growth of commercialized leisure and popular recreation. London prize ring rules governed the sport of prizefighting as a bare knuckle event or contest until the gloves were introduced. • 16. Strauss-Howe s Generations Generations Strauss Howe s generational theory explains in detail how the year in which you are born affects your development, attitudes and socialisation in society. William Strauss and Neil Howe designed the theory to be a recurring cycle in America. The generation you are born into can reflect your traits and be a reflection on what type of person you will grow up to be. Strauss Howe examined the patterns in historical generations and used generational events to create a theory revolving around it. These generational events are known as turnings. Although the Strauss Howe generation theory is easy to understand, there can be exceptions. For example, a baby boomer can adjust their lifestyle and attitudes to be more like the younger generations. Family, culture, gender, sexuality, beliefs, location, social class, peers, school and media are all factors that can influence how a person may fit into a certain generation. Due to these factors, many questions can be asked about this theory differing between people born in different countries, people of different cultural, and of different social classes and status. Baby Boomers Prophet (Idealist) 1943 1960 (57 74) Were named after the uptake (?) in birth rates during WWII. At the end of 1943, there were approximately 2.4 million baby boomers, with 1964 having 72.5 million. Bill Clinton was the first baby boomer to serve as president. George W. Joan Baez was referred to as a political singer/activist and she was known as the Queen of Folk music (Joan Baez). Bob Dylan created plenty of politically based songs that directly warned specific areas of politics, like congressmen and senators, who wanted to stop the civil rights and peace movements (Holland 107 108). Lastly there was the genre Motown which hit its peak of popularity in the 1960s. It brought a new rhythm called the back beat that was enjoyed because it was easy to dance to. Berry Gordy Jr. started the Motown Company in 1962 and brought up artists like Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Little Stevie Wonder, The Jackson Five, and Diana Ross and the Supremes (Holland 109). Criminal law is a construct of the government, enforced through tangible measures. In a democratic society, the government is elected by the citizens, and as such, laws are generally conceived with the aim to reflect whatever ethical or moral standards are presently acceptable. However, in order to be truly effective, some legislation must circumvent current sociological viewpoints in order to create laws that are genuinely in the best interests of society. This results in a delicate balancing act, as lawmakers attempt to weigh the views of the majority against the need for laws to be both reasoned and objective. There are set standards ensuring that the trial process is a fair one for all involved, as a functioning, fair and efficient justice system is the cornerstone of any true democracy. In most cases, one of the main objectives of courts and the sentences they impose is that of rehabilitation. This is evidenced through a growing move in favour of a more holistic approach to justice, trying to address the issues which may have led to the crime, rather than just punishing the end result. One of the prime examples of this therapeutic approach to justice is the introduction of the Drug Court. Governed by the Drug Court Act 1998, the Drug court has both Local court and District court jurisdiction, and seeks to target the causes of drug related criminal behaviour. It achieves this by ensuring that those who go through it receive treatment for their addictions, thereby reducing their propensity to reoffend, as many crimes are motivated by the need to satisfy addictions. ... Donald Spence believes that this may be the case in his article Abduction Tales as Metaphors . The alien narrative is a substitute for the cultural crisis Robert Thoreau describes as a less empowered, more alienated, and less predictable citizens (Spence 177). Most abductions have the similar traits of powerlessness and uncertainty, while powerful beings degrade their bodies and leave them traumatized (177). When contrasting modern day abductions and mid twentieth century ones, Spence found that the narratives are also reflective of our times. Early aliens were generally characterized as a jovial creatures, while modern day extraterrestrials are described as malevolent creatures. The stark contrast is a subliminal metaphor for the cultural atmosphere of the time. The early Kennedy and Eisenhower years marker great progress within the American society and stability. As the political and cultural climates have changed, the tales of little gray men turn into an ominous fight for freedom. A field is defined as a setting in which agents (a person engaging in a social structure) and their social positions are located. A field is a structured social space that is independent and has its own set of rules. Instead of viewing society in terms of economic classes and ideologies, Bourdieu considers the role of educational and cultural factors also. Modern society has many fields; Bourdieu sees everyday life as consisting of many different fields. Amongst these are politics, education and law. It is the site of struggle for power between the dominant and subordinate classes. Bourdieu described the field as a space in which a game took place, between people who are competing for the same thing; the acquisition of capital. I can agree with this statement somewhat, but I have a few reasons for believing that the dinosaur was discovered in the position they claimed. One idea is that the dinosaur could have been propped up against a hill or by something big and sturdy. Another explanation for the dinosaur s position is that the dinosaur could have died in its sleep. To the best of my knowledge, dinosaurs sleep standing up, or at least they did in all the Jurassic Park movies. There is more logic supporting the fact that a dinosaur was found in the crouching position than disproving it. In addition to having similar bone structures, birds and dinosaurs also have hollow bones. Hollow bones are believed to reduce the weight of animals, which requires less work for flying. In actuality, the hollowness reduces the weight of the animal by only a minute percentage. Therefore, it is theorized that hollow bones originated long before flight was introduced. • 41. Strength Training The benefit of strength and strength training for footballers is well supported by research. For example, De Proft and colleagues had one group of Belgian professionals perform extra weight training during the season. Compared to a control group of colleagues who did no extra training, the players improved their kicking power and leg strength. Reilly (1990)[2] showed that the stronger players outlasted the weaker players in terms of a regular place in the team, and had reduced injury risks. He recommends that leg strength in particular is developed, especially in the quadriceps and hamstrings, to help stabilise the knee joint, which is the most frequently injured joint in football. These exercises demand a high force of contraction in response to a rapid loading of lengthening muscles. For this reason, they should be more accurately called reversible action or rebound exercises. The training effort increases the force production in the muscles, but the movements are performed at faster speeds than weight training exercises. Thus rebound exercises are more specific to the sprinting and jumping movements in football. These exercises should be done in 3 5 sets of 8 repetitions for each leg, with at least one minute s rest between sets. The quality and speed of the movement is the priority. The other training element that is required for improving sprinting speed is sprinting itself. This should be done with maximum efforts over 30 60m. Again, at least one minute s rest between runs should be allowed so that quality can be maintained. Remember, with this kind of training the aim is to develop the maximum speed; endurance should not become a factor. Sprinting done uphill, with weighted jackets, or towing weights is also useful because it adds resistance to the sprint movement, placing greater load on the muscles in the most specific manner. Again, short distances with long rests are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Symbols Of The Nobility And The Proletariat Symbols of aristocratic authority in Miss Julie, facilitate societal discussion on ethically acceptable behaviour as sexual, gender and class conflicts emerge through individuals having challenged hierarchal structure despite having internalized distinct ideological frameworks. Strindberg utilizes uncertainty and the reveling Midsummer atmosphere to justify aristocratic need for isolation in order to maintain a guise of dominance. Julie s failure to embody submissive characteristics and conform to social paradigms by alienating herself from the servitude, threatens the hierarchal structure, using social structure to dictate ethical behaviour within society. Hence, Julie s death is justified as necessary to reinstate social order through isolating and subjugating the proletariat. Liberation and freedom are impossible to obtain due to the anxiety producing agency of the Count, symbolizing the omnipresence of repressive Capitalist dictates due to the impact on psyche as a product of nurture. Symbols of authority existing only to perpetuate elite authority are present in Jean as he is socially alienated from the aristocracy, despite characteristically embodying the role. • 44. Rena’s Concept of Nation Building Based on Chavez and Morales Ernst Renan s concept of nation is about a proposal that urges people to come together in order to have consciousness about the process of building a nation and to forget about the differences in geography, language, race, and religion. He insists on telling that a nation is composed of people s collaboration and agreements to stay together and be governed by mutual approval because they shared a common past. Based on this concept, we can say that Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales were trying to build a nation by using history to unify the nation and to challenge the notion of geography and in the case of Morales the language and race. Similar to Chavez, Evo Morales contributed to the concept of geography as part of making a nation because Bolivia is divided into two races groups: European and Indigenous. It was difficult for Evo to be able to unify Bolivia for being an Indigenous person. He can be seemed as one of the men that Renan mentioned who are healthy in mind and warm of heart because he was creating a kind of moral conscience based on the coca leaf which he defended to be a form of food supply for the poor. As well, he said that the growing of coca was a job for the peasant community (based on the film Cocalero). In addition, we can see that the contact with the people by playing soccer games with the local miners demonstrate the moral consciousness that he wanted to implement. The fact that Evo spoke demonstrated that the language as Renan said need to be forget, even though, there was a great percent of people who spoke Quechua. He wanted to reach everybody by speaking the primary language. Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales had similar and different contributions about Rena s concept of nation building. Chavez supported the ideas that geography was important to unify and to have progress in the nation. While, Morales was challenging this characteristic because Bolivia is a perfect example of how difficult is to govern when a nation is divided. Both Presidents were fighting for agrarian reform and this made the poor to enforce the agenda of each president. They tried to reach everyone and to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to the U.S. National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) the struggle didn t end in the United States until June 2009, and therefore had a duration of about 18 months. This global crisis ranks fourth in terms of the weighted sum of countries suffering it (NBER). Consumers, who had been the engine of the economy for the past several decades, suffered the loss of their jobs. Between 2008 and 2009, the U.S. labor market lost 8.4 million jobs, or 6.1% of all payroll employment (State of Working America). This resulted in the most sever consumer spending decline since World War II and the worst employment contraction since the Great Depression, reaching a peak of 10% of all the workforce on October 2009 (BLS).
