Negative Influences Of Fashion
Teenagers are exposed to numerous different pressures of having perfect bodies, and attractive
faces. Whether they get the advice from magazines, television, or the internet, many girls and boys
want to achieve society s idea of exquisiteness and perfection. Since these outlooks are huge
supporters to the adolescentslow self esteems, these are the prime reasons for the high numbers of
cases and operations done.
To begin, magazines are a huge factor towards the youth s views for beauty and trends. Many
fashion companies and brands use teenagers for targeting advertising, since they are the next
generation, or the future of fashion. However, the companies only place specific looks, and
models expose the next generations to their ideals of beauty . The fashion world has evolved
greatly through time, but still possess superficial opinions. Only a few types of beauty are
acceptable. In fact, some fashion magazines in the United States still use unhealthy models, and
heavily edited photos and discloses them as real, or natural. However, France and other countries
are stopping the damaging trend. Writer, Venessa Friedman (2017), of the New York Times writes
about the innovative laws and regulations for models and the fashion world. Models must obtain a
medical certificate from doctors pronouncing them in healthy conditions and weights. The thinner
models encourage eating disorders and teenagers to receive liposuction to achieve their smaller
physique. To add, the laws decree

Essay on Barriers and Disparities in Health Care
Barriers and Disparities in Health Care

Barriers and Disparities in Health Care
Everyone should have the opportunity to achieve a healthy life and have comprehensive health
care services available to them. To achieve this healthy life, people need to have access to the
health care system and to a health care provider with whom they can develop a trusting relationship.
However, existing barriers to attaining health care services often lead to disparities which in turn
lead to differences in life expectancy, health status and a higher prevalence of certain chronic
diseases (HealthyPeople.gov, 2012).
Barriers
Barriers to health care can be defined as conditions that can ... Show more content on

With the increasing immigrant population a third barrier affecting access to health care is a
cultural barrier. Culture barriers can include values and beliefs, language and race and ethnicity.
Health beliefs and behavior can become a barrier when patients decide not to seek medical
treatment and instead turn to home remedies and healers when treating illnesses. Approximately
10% of Americans speak a language other than English and can be classified ad being limited in
their proficiency. For these patients language becomes a barrier and they are less likely to receive
optimal medical treatment (Flores, 2006). Horton and Johnson (2010) stress the importance of
communication in reducing disparities and increasing the trust of patients in the health care system.
As reported by the American College of Physicians, evidence reveals that racial and ethnic
minorities are more likely to receive inferior care when compared with non minorities. This occurs
even when minorities have access to insurance and adequate income (Racial and ethnic disparities
in health care, 2010).
Disparities
Barriers in health care can lead to disparities in meeting health needs and receiving appropriate care,
including preventive services and the prevention of unnecessary hospitalizations
(HealthyPeople.gov, 2012). In their 2008 annual report, the Agency for Healthcare Research and
Quality lists several disparities in health care. They report that racial and ethnic minorities in the

The Good Shepherd And Thomas Groome s Shared Christian...
At first glance, it may seem as if the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and Thomas Groome s
Shared Christian Praxis have nothing in common with one another, but while they do share many
differences, they also share some similarities. In terms of teaching the divine pedagogy, the two
catechetical approaches of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherdand Shared Christian Praxis have
some similar and some different theological, philosophical, and educational principles, which aid in
the effectiveness of their practice for their specific target age group.
First, the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a specific form of catechesis aimed towards
children ages 3 to 12. There are three levels involved with this form of catechesis: level one (3 6
year olds), level two (7 9 year olds), and level three (10 12 year olds). The name of the space
where this catechesis occurs is The Atrium, and the Atrium is designed specifically for the
children with small tables, chairs, and shelves. A child s capacity for understanding God should
be taken seriously, and the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd does this. In fact, it can be said that
children have an extraordinary capacity for prayer, and theirs is a prayer of praise and
thanksgiving, which expresses the nearness and transcendence of God (Cavalletti, 44). Through the
Atrium, the children are able to build a relationship of love with the Good Shepherd, and they are
able to learn and embrace the beauty of silence. The children engage

Short Questions B1. Question # 1 of Ch 2 (8th ed. of the textbook) Canada and Australia are
(mainly) English speaking countries with populations that are not too different in size (Canada s is
60 percent larger). But Canadian trade is twice as large, relative to GDP, as Australia s. Why should
this be the case? We saw that not only is GDP important in explaining how much two countries

While this demonstrates that the United States has an absolute advantage in services, this is
neither a necessary nor a sufficient condition for determining comparative advantage. For this
determination, the industry ratios are also required. The competitive advantage of any industry
depends on both the relative productivities of the industries and the relative wages across
industries. Page 2 of 11 Pages B5. Question # 8 of Ch 3 (8th ed. of the textbook) Anyone who has
visited Japan know it is an incredibly expensive place; although Japanese workers earn about the
same as their U.S. counterparts, the purchasing power of their incomes is about one third less.
Extend your discussion from question 7 (of Chapter 3) to explain this observation. (Hint: Think
about wages and the implied prices of nontraded goods.) While Japanese workers may earn the
equivalent wages of U.S. workers, the purchasing power of their income is one third less. This
implies that although w = w* (more or less), p p* (since 3p = p*). Since the United States is
considerably more productive in services, service prices are relatively low. This benefits and
enhances U.S. purchasing power. However, many of these services cannot be transported and
hence, are not traded. This implies that the Japanese may not benefit from the lower U.S. services
costs, and do not face an international price which is lower than their domestic price. Likewise, the

Dershane Assisted Living Case Study
The capital investment I chose is the start up of an assisted living center; specifically, Dershane s
Assisted Living . There are several arguments that could be used for the capital investment proposal.
Since this would be a new capital investment, financial arguments against the proposal would be the
principal factor.
I believe the proposal to establish an assisted living center would be approved; however, the
arguments against an establishment of a new capital investment would be valid due to it would be a
new establishment.
In making the investment decision, it would be imperative to form a strategic plan, therefore the
financial investors, financial institutions, shareholders, and lenders would be able to visualize how
the capital investment would be profitable for them as well as have a return on investment.
Barriers for this type of capital investment would include limited assets, return on investment ...

One important factor to consider with assets is the power assets possess. Our core text Introduction

how assets contribute to a lower interest rate. An investment proposal with limited assets will be a

money contributed by shareholders, direct investors (partners), and government affiliates in which I

Summary Of The Legal Requirements And Guidance Relating To...
1. Analyse legal requirements and guidance relating to the safeguarding of children. Law and
guidance regulate the way you should work with children in your childcare setting to support and
encourage their well being and safeguard them from abuse and maltreatment. Legislation
provides a comprehensive instruction on what must be attained in respect to child protection and
safeguarding. Whereas Legal guidance is more precise and provides details on how the law
ought to be applied and fulfilled in early years settings and services. Laws and statutory
regulation are compulsory and should reinforce policies and procedures that are used in your
setting. Legal requirements Children Act 1989 Determines the duty of early year s practitioners to
identify and meet the separate and distinctive needs of children and to keep them safe. It initiated
the belief that the child ought to be at the centre of planning and that a child s well being and
safety are vital when judgements are made concerning them. This act also recognises the
accountabilities of parents in keeping their offspring safe. In this act there are two particular
segments that relate to the duty of local authority with concern to child protection, these are Section
17 States that services should be put into place to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
within the (local authority) area who are in need . Section 47 States that the local authority has a

In James Buck essay, citizenship and Military Service: The Quest for inclusion by Minorities and
conscientious Objectors , he discusses why every citizen in this our liberal democracies should be
given equal status and recognitions in our political communities. He makes his analysis by
comparing the various researches other social and political scientist have made about citizenship in
the eighteenth centuries and how political inequalities have limited or change the realization of
equal claim of citizenship. He also emphasizes that citizenship is not about the wealth or the
amount of power one has, but it s rather the respect and recognitions from our fellow citizen. He
supports his argument with Max Weber studies that the subject of class, power and status are

African American to join the military and how racism has limited the possibility of African

Life Of Pi Expository Essay
To discover is to progress, experience and to transform. As one encounters discovery, an individual
may encounter a transformative experience that most certainly can lead to new perceptions of
others and ourselves. These ideas portrayed about how discoveries are transformative, is
effectively exemplified in the poem The Road not taken by Robert Frost. Which conveys how
discoveries can push one into a wider world full of possibilities, which may transform one
immensely introducing new perceptions of them selves and others. This conceptis also shown in
Ang lee s film Life of Pi . Through the main protagonist of Pi Patel and the experiences he is faced

This concept is portrayed in the scene where Pi discovers carnivorous island. Don t you see, the
island was carnivorous ? The extreme close up of the tooth symbolically represents the island itself.
The appealing nature of the bud represents the luscious life giving Island during the day, however
the rotten tooth symbolises the carnivorous nature of the island during the nighttime. The toxicness
of the island, forces Pi to continue his discovery for salvation in order to live with humanity, due to
the fatal repercussions of a life lived without humanity. Which conveys how through discoveries
ramifications most certainly arise which as a result alters ones perceptions of themselves and their
surroundings in order to survive which aims to transform one for the better.
Likewise this concept is significantly portrayed in the road not taken, demonstrated in the lines I
shall be telling this with a sigh the first person narration indicates a change in tone, displaying a
sense of regret in which discoveries can introduce as a result of ones choices in embarking a
discovery in which shifts ones perceptions on themselves and the wider world hence transforming
them. Therefore how through discoveries individuals encounter impacts, which may transform one

What Is Intelligence Anyway Book Report
What is intelligence anyway?
This autobiography was written by Doctor Isaac Asimov who wanted to hint us on what
intelligence really is. When the doctor went to get his car fixed, he was asked a riddle by the
auto repair man and got it wrong. The doctor was very smart and the auto repair man knew it
too, yet he was sure that he would trick the doctor because the doctor was too educated. It was
true and even the doctor knew it. He was smart by the standards of education but there are
different types of being smart like being street smart. He was so educated that he had no
experiences with things like riddles which may have been common sense to others. The strength of
the passage was being an autobiography with real personal experiences while the weakness was the
lack of explanation about how the doctor was lacking in intelligence.

Learning Disability Philosophy
The English Webster dictionary defines disability as the condition of being disabled; limitation in
the ability to pursue an occupation because of a physical or mental impairment; also a program
providing financial support to one affected by disability; a lack of legal qualification to do
something; a disqualification, restriction, or disadvantage. As a child my definition was simply, a
person who was unable to do something such as walking, learning, or hearing. To date, I have
interacted with countless individuals with disabilities which has taught me ways of understanding
disability, language to use and not use, and also what it truly means to be disabled. This semester
alone, my thoughts on disability have broadened teaching me the historical, social and political
aspects, as well as multiple perspectives of disability from parents, teachers and students. I am

We need to always be conscious of our attitudes, views, and understandings of all children
whether disabled or not. It is essential to keep in mind the inclusion of all students rather than
assuming their abilities. I ve observed that people do not have the same expectations for people
with disabilities as they do for able bodied people, and that feeds into the misconception that
people with disabilities can t do because they are often encouraged to underachieve. Through my
experiences i have learned the difference between a person with a disability and a disabled
person. A disability can truly be something that just puts a person at a disadvantage. This fact may
limit some; however, it certainly does not define their capabilities. As a teacher I would be sure to
always keep that in mind in order to not prejudge my student or doubt their capabilities. As
educators in general we need to keep this in mind to avoid underestimating or excluding any of our

Self Discovery in American Beauty and Hermann Hesse s Demian
After Jane Burnham s first meeting with Ricky Fitts in American Beauty she responds by
saying, He s so confident. That can t be real. If it isn t real, is it a dream? If it is a dream, is it
Jane s dream? If it is Jane s dream, is this her unconscious wish for pleasure or happiness...to be
like Ricky Fitts? There seems to be a theme running through the movie American Beauty where we
see people looking to other people as a source to receive their own sense of confidence, or
ultimately, happiness. This is also evident in Demian by Hermann Hesse when we see Emil
Sinclair seeking out Max Demian. This paper will serve as a means to compare two similar works
of art that both ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The description of Max Demian given by Emil Sinclair is right on with that of Ricky Fitts: He
seemed too superior and detached, his manner too provocatively confident...I can only say that he
was in every respect different from all the others, was entirely himself, with a personality all his
own which made him noticeable even though he did his best not to be noticed... (Hesse 27). This
quality is seen by Lester Burnham with his first encounter with Ricky Fitts when they are smoking
marijuana. Ricky s catering boss comes outside and catches him not working and remarks, I m
not paying you to do whatever it is you are doing out here. Ricky replies spontaneously without
any hesitation, Fine, don t pay me. I quit so you don t have to pay me. So, leave me alone. Lester
turns to Ricky and says, I think you just became my personal hero! Lester is never the same again.
A growing sense of confidence is a theme found in American Beauty and Demian. After hanging
out with Max Demian, Emil gains the confidence to tell Franz Kromer he will not bring his
sister for him to meet and also tells his mother that he stole money from her piggy bank. In
American Beauty, we see Lester Burnham slowly open up and he begins to speak his mind,
instead of being afraid and keeping his mouth shut. An example of this is when he has a dispute
with his wife Carol about their sexual frustrations. He says: This hasn t been a marriage for years,

Essay On Iago
Shakespeare s Iago A depraved soul would generate chaos, inflict pain, and stir up trouble for its
own satisfaction. Iago undoubtedly fits this description seeing that he is a sadist who attains
power by annihilating others in cruel and unusual ways. In William Shakespeare s The Tragedie
of Othello, the Moore of Venice, he is a sinister force which steers virtuous people towards their
gruesome deaths. Furthermore, he is the core focus of this academic essay. Our antagonist is an
astounding piece of work. He obstinately pleads indifference despite dedicating his entire
existence for revenge. A more favorable course of action involves starting over with a clean slate
but he couldn t as a result of his wounded pride. In addition, he is self destructive seeing that he
allowed racial hatred to consume him and become his undoing. Even though he invents elaborate

he allowed himself to be led astray. His trusting nature combined with his jealous, self doubting

Supremacy of Eu Law
Supremacy/ Primacy of European Union Law Introduction: State sovereignty and supremacy of
European Union law are traditionally seen as fundamentally opposite in nature. The rights of states
to deal with national issues internally, in compliance with national law, versus the obligation on
states to subordinate national law to Community law. Where it is contained: Historically the EEC
treaty contained no provision dealing with the concept of supremacy of Community law over the
national law of member states. In fact, treaties were generally silent as to the nature of the

Allowing national law to take precedence over community law would result in a fractious legal
structure of which neither states nor citizens could rely on. The concept of supremacy was at the
forefront of the decision Flaminio Costa v E.N.E.L: just one year after the case in van gend en
loos. The case concerned the creation of E.N.E.L an Italian electricity company by the Italian
government under a law passed in 1962 to nationalise the electricity industry. Costa refused to pay
his electricity bill on the basis that the nationalisation of electricity providers infringed the Italian
Constitution and several provisions of the EC treaty. The ECJ in deciding the case stated that: the
precedence of community law is confirmed by article 189 (now 288) of the treaty, whereby a
regulation shall be binding and directly applicable on all member states. This provision which is
subject to no reservation would be quite meaningless if states could unilaterally nullify its effects by
means of a legislative measure which could prevail over community law The ECJ went further to
comment that the transfer of the member states from their national legal

Summary Of Edgar Allan Poe s Poem The Raven
On January 1809, Edgar Allan Poe was born in Boston. His father left very early in his life and
his mother died when he was 3. Poe was taken in as a foster child by Frances and John Allan.
Despite the fact that Poe academically excelled he could not pay his college loans and started
gambling. John Allan refused to pay his gambling debts and was forced to leave. After that, his
relationship with John Allan quickly fell apart.
In 1827 Poe moved to Boston and joined the army. Poe wrote many poems while he was enlisted,
but none of them became popular. He was admitted to the US Military Academy, but was forced

In line 8 it says if hope has flown away which is personification because hope cannot fly. This

which symbolizes people dying in the narrator s life, and not being able to save them no matter
how hard you try. The correlates to the theme because the theme is about losing people and and
your grief won t go away, and the narrator is grieving about not being able to save them . The last
piece of figurative language is hyperbole. In lines 10 11 it reads All that we see or seem is all a

The Ghost Of The Late King Hamlet
Although some may think the ghost of the late King Hamlet in William Shakespeare s tragedy
Hamlet is a demon, but the truth is that Hamlet s father didn t reveal himself to anyone besides

Heaven. Throughout the Elizabethan Era no one in that time period knew how much of an

period of time from 1558 to 1603 known as the golden age in English history. Queen Elizabeth I

Introduction An emerging area of research focus on the investigation of viral infections involved in
neurodegenerative diseases. Data suggests that viral infections promote hallmark events seen in
neuronal degeneration such as in Alzheimer s Disease (AD). In AD, protein aggregates of ОІ
amyloid peptides forming plaques and neurofibrillary tangles composed of hyperphosphorylated tau
has been shown to impair brain functions. Areas affected are the hippocampus and cerebral cortex
responsible for cognitive and locomotor skills. Other contributing factors to neuronal degeneration
includes oxidative stress, and modifications to autophagic and apoptotic pathways. This paper looks
at herpes simplex type 1 involvement in AD.
History
The origin of Herpes Virus is unknown but its lesions and transmission were recognized by
Hippocrates and Shakespeare during earlier times (Kaplan 1973). In 1919, the experimental works

endeavored to sample the impacts on creating teams in an organization to boost revenue. The
Casino s executive management considered the values of implementing team building aspects, in
their endeavor to improve customer services and overcome low customer turnout, owing to the low

These individuals teamed up in writing the article, Team Cognition: Development and Evolution in
Software Project Teams. The authors cite that team buildingis critical in overcoming time
challenges and resource coordination. Additionally, owing to the characteristics of diverse software
development projects being unstructured and sophisticated, it is significant to implement teamwork
within such endeavors (He, Brian and William, 2010). Various software developments require the
implementation of dissimilar amounts of knowledge. This deems the implementation of an
individual s knowledge appears to be insufficient in the accomplishment of such objectives.
The authors of the article consider a team to be an association of two or more individuals working
together towards the achievement of a set objective. The authors highlight the power of team
cognition in envisaging the likelihood of team effectiveness. However, studying team cognition has
been marred significantly by conceptualizing and determining its constructs (He, Brian and
William, 2010). Team cognition study is complex, owing to the diversity of the tasks and the
involved environmental factors. As such, two aspects of team cognition include awareness of
expertise location and shared task understandings are critical. Individuals within a team ought to be
conscious of the members capabilities and clearly comprehend their various tasks in accomplishing
set objectives.

Why the Spanish Armada Invaded Britain and Lost Essay
Spanish Armada Essay
In this essay I am going to look at why the Spanish armada wanted to invade Britain and why
they failed to do so, was it down to luck or were the British too smart for the Spanish. And was it
all England s glory?
The Spanish wanted to invade England was mainly to turn England back into a catholic country,
and to get Queen Elizabeth of the throne and to get a queen who was for the catholic monarch on
the throne. However there are many other reasons: Firstly Philip II couldn?t accept that was not the
king of England, as he was married to Queen Mary I, who was the Queen before Elizabeth.
Secondly, when Philip proposed to Elizabeth she turned him down. Another reason is Elizabeth
wouldn?t stop the privateers from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, before Philip sent the ships out Admiral Sanata Cruz, Spain?s best sailor, died and Philip
replaced him with the Duke of Medina Sidonia, who suffered from seasickness and did not really
want to do the job. Was this a good idea? And should the Spanish of waited to find a new leader
who wanted to do the job?
During the sail up to England the Armada were told to keep a crescent formation no matter what
happened this was the golden rule. The idea of this was so if an English ship was to come in
from behind they could scoop it up like a net. The formation was that the stronger ships would go
at the front so they could easily surround any English ships that threatened the centre. This was the
plan, however it did not all go that way! Lord Howard, commander of the English fleet, used some
of the lighter and faster English ships to ?pick off? some of the stragglers (ones that were lagging
behind) whilst they were sailing up the English channel. Unfortunately this did not really affect the
crescent shape. Next came arguably one of the smartest moves in the battle, on 7th August Sir
Francis Drake sent out a number of old ships that had been set on fire, the Spanish were petrified,
they were not sure if the Ships had explosives on it, if they did so did the Spanish ships and the
chances of them setting on fire was very high. This came as a complete surprise to the

Essay on of mice and men
Does Steinbeck reflect a desperate society or does he offer some hope and optimism in his novel
quot;Of Mice and Men quot;
In Steinbeck s novel quot; Of Mice and Men quot; there are many different characters each
expressing there own opinion on whether they are living in a desperate society or that there is
indeed some hope and optimism in the world around them. At the time the book was set, which is
in the 1930 s great American depression, many people were unemployed and jobs were hard to
come by. Steinbeck s novel centres around the exploits and happenings of a few men, and one

Here George is saying how that he and Lennie are different from the rest of the no hopers in the
world around them and that they have a chance to make things better for themselves because
they with always have each other. In some cases in the book there is a pessimistic side to Lennie
and George s friendship. The line said by George quot; Hide in the brush till I come for you.
quot; (page 34). George repeats this statement about hiding in the brush until he comes many
times, to emphasise the point to Lennie. This is suggesting that George does not trust Lennie
and that he believes he will do something wrong in the near future. Therefore giving the
impression that George believes that the society they are living in is desperate and that Lennie
will make the same mistakes over and over again. Another example of how George and Lennie s
friendship sometimes reflects a desperate society is how George says quot; You crazy son of a
bitch. quot; (page 29). This is when George is reflecting on how he could have a much better life
without Lennie with him all the time. Also in this section, George shows some compassion for
Lennie. After he has finished shouting at Lennie we get the line, quot;He looked ashamedly at
Lennie s anguished face through the flames quot; and also the line, quot;Poor Bastard quot;. This
is showing us how George now feels sorry for Lennie and maybe he realises that he is lucky to have
a friend in this desperate society,

The Importance Of Response To Intervention
Response to Intervention, commonly known as RtI, is a multi tier approach to the early
identification and support of students with learning and behavior needs (Learn About RtI, para. 1,
n.d.). New York State requires many things for the RtI program. These requirements include:
appropriate instruction, instruction matched to the students needs, repeated assessments of the
student s achievement, implementation of student information to make educational decisions,
students must be screened, and parents must be notified (What is RtI, 2017).
RtI level one, which is also known as Tier 1, involves all students. All students receive a classroom

Richards, we discussed how the teachers within our school study the data of each student. She
explained that data needs to be collected for all interventions and that it is very important to have
at least six to eight weeks of data. The intervention should have specific target skills and goals.
Student goals should be created so that they can have quantifiable data. For example they should
be written as Jimmy will read 40 out of 46 sight words instead of Jimmy will increase his reading
skills. Also the goals should be created so that the target is something that is attainable in a six to
eight week intervention period. Many teachers create an intervention binder or folder for their
students to collect data in. The school district I am in uses a form that has the goal, skill, date of
intervention, data of progress, and other components on it so that teachers use a uniform data sheet
that can be understood by everyone (H. Richards, personal communication, March 16,

There are many similarities in the ethical statements/codes of the SAA, SHA, AIA, and RPA. The
ones that pertain to this case are as follows: it is the responsibility of archaeologists to work for the
long term conservation and protection of the archaeological record (SAA 1, AIA 1, RPA 1.1 e). The
buying and selling of objects out of archaeological context is contributing to the destruction of the
archaeological record around the world, and these items should not be traded, sold, bought, or
bartered as commercial goods (SAA 3, SHA 6, AIA 2, RPA 1.2 e). Within reasonable time, the
knowledge archaeologists gain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also they are to be careful to preserve and protect the archaeological site when publishing and
distributing information about their nature and location (SAA6 and SHA3).
Finally, the last ethical dilemma to be discussed is the importance of archaeologists to inform
the proper authorities when illegal trading, or selling, of artifacts is discovered. In the text it
states, The two project directors reply that they will not purchase the pots themselves, nor will
they guarantee that authorities will not be notified. They do, however, loan the men some
gasoline and a video camera for a day, to record the pots and their location. It is questionable that
the two directors would only imply that they could not promise the authorities would not be
notified. It is their duty to do so, according to the statements and ethical codes of many
archaeological organizations. They also give the local employees gasoline and a video camera
for a day leads the reader to believe that they are okay with this sort of behavior and have no
intention of notifying the proper authorities. It also says that because of the video camera, many
of the villagers now know where the cave is, and will likely know what ends up happening to the
pots. Because the villagers now know where the cave is, it is even more important that the
authorities are notified so that similar situations do not arise with villagers scavenging the cave and

The Pro Football Hall Of Fame And The Year Of His Death
Abstract
The subjectively informative written speech was given in 1970 right before his induction into
the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the year of his death. This speech applies to multiple areas
professional, sports and personal, because of the principles of winning and success throughout
it. Mr. Lombardi could never have imagined the impact that this speech would have on the world
over 25 years later. This speech has been played for countless people over these years to motivate
companies, teams, and individuals into reaching the only place to be in when everything is done
first place. His use of repetition, allusion and smooth transition makes this speech easy to follow
and ensures that the point of giving your all to reach first place is driven home. But I firmly
believe that in any man s finest hour his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear is that moment
when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle victorious.

The Commercialization Of Flumist ( Medimmune ) The First...
The FDA approved in 2003 the commercialization of FluMistВ® (MedImmune) the first influenza
vaccine with attenuated virus. This trivalent vaccine is administrated via intranasal spray because
the virus replicates in cells lining the nasopharynx [21 23]. Use of live attenuated vaccine has
been limited to individuals two through forty nine years of age based on a failed efficacy to
prevent febrile illness in adults fifty through sixty five years of age [22]. As in the TIV the first
step for the vaccineproduction is the generation of the viral seeds that presents the circulating

manufacture of approved FluMistВ® is also based on the injection in embryonated eggs of the
reassortant virus and the recovery of the allantoic fluid with the screening of the reassortant that
grows well at 25ВєC (cold adapted) and present restricted growth (ta) at 37 39ВєC and is
attenuated (att). The vaccine is tested in the ferret model [22]. Once the reassortant virus is
selected, it is then injected in fertilized eggs pathogen free (SPF) that are incubated between 48

concentrated by ultrafiltration and diluted using a stabilizing agent to obtain the final sucrose and
potassium phosphate concentration. The virus harvest is then

Spanish American Slavery
Spain and Britain treated the Native Americans like slaves and participated in the slave trade.
Nevertheless, the Spanish government prohibited Florida Indians to be slaves since it was the
law and it was practiced in other spanish colonies. The governors of Florida and its religious
leaders allowed the Hispanic colonists oppressed Indians to do labor for little or no wages.
Many Native Americans were badly treated, poorly fed, and died because of forced labor. St.
Augustine was mostly built by Indians with forced labor. There were slaves in Florida, but not
as many in England s Carolina colony where there were twice as many Africans as whites.
Spanish law treated slaves differently than English law. In the law of the English, a slave was
property that could be bought, sold, and punished possibly even to death, without any legal or
civil rights. English wives were treated as property of their husbands. Spanish law perceived
slaves as wretched people who still had legal rights, could sue their owners in court, and could
own property. Both men and women slaves could petition the Spanish King. The law permitted
slaves to purchase their freedom and to attain the rights of all the King s free subjects. In Florida,
the Spanish government gave freedom to escaped slaves from England s American colonies if they
converted to the Catholic faith and get recruited in the colonial military. St. Augustine had a free

Human Rights Universal List
Human rights, by definition, are rights which are inherent to every human being, regardless of their
personal identity. This concept of human rights is ideal in theory, but often causes debate among
people and groups who define which rights are inherent differently. In order to alleviate this debate,
several countries represented in the United Nations defined a universal list of human rights. The list
includes concepts of equality, prohibition of slavery, and prohibition of discrimination. However,
the debate of what qualifies as a human right is often still present in legal actions between separate
nations or groups, regardless of the universal list, such as in the case of the Santa Clara Pueblo v

Two writers, Felipe Gomez Isa and Tim Murithi, reflect on this topic and claim that, ironic to its
purpose, the drafting of the universal list of human rights was not inclusive to all nations or
indigenous groups. Western societies, such as the United States, and those similar to them were
dominant in the drafting process, creating a list of human rights which accurately reflected the
beliefs of their societies, but not the beliefs of minority nations which had either less of a role or
no role in the drafting. Under this absence of representation for every group or nation, the universal
list has proven to be impossible to accept within societies different from Western culture, such as in
the case of the Santa Clara Pueblo. The Native Americans were considered to be a group excluded
from the human rights draft, and therefore, they did not adopt this list of human rights into their
society. Without their own input, the list did not represent their cultural or moral beliefs, but rather
the beliefs of the more powerful societies which created them. In effect, it would be wrong for the
United States court system to force their view of human rights onto the Native Americans who
haven t accepted the universal list as their

My Philosophy Of Recreation And Leisure In Modern Society
I used to equate recreation, leisure, and play with laziness and unproductiveness, but taking this
class has broadened my view of these terms and helped me to conceptualize my pre existing beliefs
and develop my philosophy.
Through this class I ve learned that recreation, leisure and play are essential, not only in my life,
but for all ages and in all cultures and societies. My Philosophy of recreation, leisure, and play is
that you need to have a balance. Work and other responsibilities need to be offset with recreation
and stress reducing healthy activities that enhance your life.
People have different definitions of recreation, leisure and play. Many things shape how people
define and value recreation such as personal experiences, culture and family values.
В№The text Recreation and Leisure in Modern Society, defines leisure as that portion of an
individual s time that is not directly devoted to work... or to other obligated forms of Maintenance
or self care.
My definition of leisure is time spent unstructured. What I have learned this month by hourly
logging and journaling, is that I spend too much time participating in leisure activities. I often find
myself wasting a lot of time, napping, surfing the internet, viewing media, listening to music and
keeping in touch with friends through texting and snapchat.
Overall there s nothing wrong with these activities if done in moderation. But what I found is that
these activities are often done in excess and get in

Inaccuracies In Armageddon
The movie Armageddon is a great movie, but contains many scientific inaccuracies. The movie has
many scenes that are set in outer space where many things such as gravity act different. While
watching the movie many things are portrayed to act in space as they do on Earth, which is not
true. Forces that act upon an object in space behave completely different than those that act upon
objects on Earthdue to the differences in atmosphere. There are four specific instances from the
movie where I can prove inaccuracies. In the movie when the crew was on the crater drilling,
nothing was coming out of the hole. When there is drilling taking place the rock or dirt needs to
be displaced into the surrounding area. In the movie nothing came out of the hole during the entire
drilling process. There was almost no gravity on the asteroid to be able to hold the remnants and
dust in the hole being drilled. Therefore, the dust and remnants should be up on the surface of the
asteroid and floating around in space. The way I would fix this inaccuracy of how... Show more

Assimilation Richard Rodriguez Summary
Richard Rodriguez is a famous Mexican American writer, famous for his articles on immigrant
culture and assimilation. Assimilation, according to Rodriguez, is the integration of one s culture
with another. Rodriguez is not in favor of or against assimilation but acknowledges that it is
occurring in America. Rodriguez first discusses the Canadian model of assimilation, where
individuals in a mixed race culture prefer to remain ethnically and culturally separate. Rodriguez
proposes that America adopts a Mexican model of assimilation, where one is classified by the
culture that one adopts rather than by one s skin color. Americans have a conflicted and confused
view of assimilation, preferring to keep a distinguished sense of self, while actually assimilating
culturally with many different ethnic groups. Americans have often resisted assimilation, especially
if it meant race mixing or cultural blending. They feared how immigrants would change the culture

Compare And Contrast Give Me Liberty By Eric Foner
No two accounts of any event are ever exactly the same, as different people have unique
experiences that impact their views. Historical accounts and history books are the same way, as an
examination of A People s History of the United States, by Howard Zinn, and Give Me Liberty, by
Eric Foner demonstrates. Both accounts of early American historycover the important colonies,
such as Jamestown and the influential Puritans and the immigration of different peoples to
America. They differ however, not only on the depth they choose to go into these events, but
also on interactions between the natives and the colonists. A People s History, by Howard Zinn,
tells history in a biased way that excludes information that Eric Foner, of Give Me Liberty, does
not. Zinn s bias is in favor of the Indians, while Foner lacks a bias, telling history from all views.
This difference can be noted in the telling of the Pueblo... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Pequot War is a classic example of the tension that existed between the Indians and the
colonists in early America. Zinn chooses to illustrate the Indians as completely innocent and
harmless, placing the blame on the Europeans, while Foner illustrates the Pequots as Indians
capable of holding their own. According to Howard Zinn, the Pequot War was caused by the
murder of a white trader, Indian kidnapper, and troublemaker became an excuse to make war
(Zinn 14). Zinn s bias is clear when he claims that this murder was an excuse, which makes it seem
as though the Puritans couldn t wait to murder a bunch of Pequots. This contributes towards
making the Puritans look greedy and selfish. Foner, on the other hand, claims that the turning point
came in 1637 when a fur trader was killed by Pequots a powerful tribe who controlled southern
New England s fur trade and exacted tribute from other Indians (Foner 78).

Whole Foods Business Strategy
In July of 2017, Amazon made headlines by stating they would be acquiring the Whole Foods

Pros And Cons Of Net Neucy
Net neutrality is the basis in which all internet providers must treat data on the Internet equally and
not charge differently based on what device , website, application you use, or content you decide to
view. The recent vote in the U.S. to repeal net neutrality s guidelines is unjust because it violates 1st
amendment guidelines, gives the people less freedom, and gives Internetservice providers many
ways to meddle with data speeds and how their users use the Internet.
A repeal on net neutrality would affect people and schools with tighter budgets, leaving them
little options to access the web. The repeal would allow ...various carriers will alter their pricing
and what you get for that money , meaning that there will most likely be, bundling (e.g. social
media package, streaming video package, gaming package) as additions to basic services
(Grenoble). Additional fees for applications such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and et
cetera, will mean that depending on what Internet provider people decide to use, they will have to
pay more to use these applications and websites. People who can t afford to pay extra for these
bundles will be limited to the content they can use and access and won t have the same freedom
that people who can afford the bundles will have. In addition, not only individuals will get affected
by the repeal but also communities, especially schools. Based on there the tight budget, a school in
Chattanooga who can t buy the students scanning electron microscopes for experiments so they,
...control a scanning electron microscope digitally University of Southern California has put a hi def
camera on top of their scanning electron microscope. And so the students can control...And do these
experiments from Chattanooga, where they would not have access otherwise (Culatta 1). The only
way these students have access to the this website is, ...because they have access to high speed
Internet connections (Culatta 1). Without access to high speed Internet, many schools with tighter
budgets will not access certain resources online that help teachers with their lesson plans because
Internet will be more expensive, therefore being less accessible. Consequently, affecting the

Thomas Friedman’S Introduction Started With A Brief History
Thomas Friedman s introduction started with a brief history of how we found out that the world is
round. He then went from talking about the 1400s to the present time and finished his paragraph
with The world is flat. (Pg.33). Obviously, we all know that the world is round, so this caught my
attention because I wanted to understand what he was about to explain. He spoke about how
technology and globalizationchanged people s lives and many people didn t realize it. His first two
paragraphs were difficult for me to understand because I was mainly visualizing the historic events.
And I couldn t see how he related globalization to the earth being round or flat.
In Friedman s globalization analyses, he was referring in a general aspect ... Show more content on

Businesses now work more effective and cheap due to the competitive prices of resources that
have become more easily accessible. In the business sector a globalization effect that has
personally affected me is the advancement in transportation. We have jet engines, container ships
that move product from country to another. Depending on which perspective I m seeing through
globalization, it is either a pro or a con. If I see transportation globalization as an employee then
it is a con for myself, because jobs are being given to people in other countries for less. Then from
a consumer perspective, I benefit from transportation globalization because now the product is
cheaper and now I am paying less.
On a daily basis transportation globalization affects me on a more personal level. For example,
when I order something online and the store doesn t have the item on stock then they will use the
internet to strategize supply and demand to a certain area. And then as soon as I order my item,
the store will instantly deliver my item either to my shipping address or to the closest store
available to me. Another way that transportation globalization affects me directly is through the use
of mobile applications such as Uber and Lyft. Through the use of these applications, I can get
transportation rides from one destination to another. We have rental vehicles at our commodity and
there is even a specific mobile application where we can rent another person s vehicle

Submarines Revolutionized Naval Warfare
Imagine not having the cars or weaponry that exist in today s society. The world would be
changed drastically. Many parts of society would be missing and the underdeveloped if they were
never made in WWII. The technology made and advanced in WWII has changed today drastically.
The only way to appreciate the changes in history is to see the technology itself and show where it
came from. Vehicles where the biggest advancement in technology in the war. It has made
transportation of materials, people, and just general things easier for us. Not only that, but it has
helped with military strategies for different types of attacks and routes. Submarines revolutionized
naval warfare by introducing underwater vessels capable of attacking enemy ships ( Military War
Technology ). Submarines are a huge contribution to different types of attacks and strategies. It has

More information about these items can only help further our ideas for more technology. Today, the
military uses submarines to carry missiles, conduct reconnaissance, support land attacks, and
establish blockades ( Military War Technology ). Submarines had many uses when it came down to
it. They were not just transportation or attack strategies. They were used for various tasks such as
making blockades and to make reconnaissance with other people. Having multiple uses for the
submarine is what gives it the advantage. Stealth technology increases the odds of a sucessful
attack, since the enemies have a harder time finding, tracking, and defending against aircrafts (
Military War Technology ). Having stealth in war is the smartest thing that any army can have. It is
a sneak move that the enemy does not see coming. Therefore getting leverage on them and gaining
the advantage. This tactic of being stealthy is very common in today s modern

The Desegregation Of The United States
In the 1970 s desegregation was a main concern and differences in the quality of education based on
socioeconomic factors became apparent. Brown v. Board of Education deemed it harmful to
African Americans to be segregated. Integration of public schools did not happen until Swann v.
Charlotte Mecklenburg Board of Education. The ruling of Swann v. Charlotte Mecklenburg Board
of Education mandated school districts to bus students to different schools so integration would be
possible (Wilson). President Lyndon B. Johnsonwas also a key part in education reform during this
time period, which will be discussed later. The federal government became involved to create
additional benefits for low income students. Head Start and the Elementary and Secondary
Education Act (ESEA) were created to reduce poverty by providing equal opportunities for all
students (Cross). Leading up to the 21st Century quality of education finally was addressed. In 1983
under the Reagan administration A Nation at Risk, was published and exposed the poor quality of
education in the United States. A Nation at Risk noted that 23 million American adults were
functionally illiterate, 13% of all 17 year olds were functionally illiterate, and the Scholastic
Aptitude Test (SAT) demonstrated a significant decline in English and Math scores. A Nation at
Risk exposed to the world that the United States educational system was broken (Toppo). Charter
schools, schoolwide choice, and area wide choice, allowed

Is Peyote A Spirit, And A Gift From God Who They Call The...
All forms of Peyotism center around the belief that peyote is a spirit, and a gift from God who
they call the Great Spirit. The spirit empowers and connects us to our journey as people. Our
lives are transforming journeys and peyote is a tool that can help guide and direct it. It gives the
individual a chance to re evaluate their priorities. The head of the Peyote Way Church of God,
which is a NAC organization stated Through the Holy Sacrament Peyote, the communicant
experiences a loss of selfishness and becomes aware of the god within. To native people, peyote
is a way of life. It is a ritual that has been established in their families for thousands of years. It
can be compared to a Catholics importance to baptism and communion, or a Muslims once in a
lifetime trip to Mecca. Also like most religions, there are special times and places to take part in
spiritual events, which are often called rituals. Rituals that take place in Peyotism can vary widely.
Factors that contribute to how ceremonies are run can include on the region of the organization,
ethnic background of the leaders of the organization, and legality issues surround the rituals taking
place. The most popular two ceremonies practiced in the Native American Church include the half
moon fireplace and the crossfire fireplace. The major differences between the ceremonies are the
use of tobacco and the emphasis of Christianity. The crossfire fireplace ceremony condemns the use
of tobacco, and uses the

Definition Essay on Sportsmanship
Definition Essay on Sportsmanship Abstract Although it is very common to mention the term
Sportsmanship during any sports event, very few individuals are actually familiar with the true
definition of the word. For some it is the behavioral aspect shown by the participating teams or
athletes while others it is more than just a routine behavior and is associated with the deep
rooted respect of the opponent as well as the outcome of an event. Sportsmanship is known to be
an aspiration which supports the argument that any sporting activity should be enjoyed without
the worry of a desired outcome. Here the proper consideration of respect, fairness, ethics, and the
demonstration of fellowship with the competitors are shown. In this regard, the term Sore Loser
is referred to someone who refuses to accept defeat whereas Good Sport defines anyone being
either a good loser or a good winner. Sportsmanship could also be conceptualized as a stable
disposition or characteristic in which the participants of any sporting event behave differently as
compared to what is expected from them especially in unwanted outcomes. In a more general sense,
sportsmanship refers to different virtues like courage, fairness, persistence, self control, and has
also been closely linked with interpersonal concepts of the way of treating others as well as being
treated fairly, respecting authority and opponents, and maintaining proper self control when dealing
with others. Sportsmanship can also be

Groundbreaking Piece in the New York Magazine of 1915...
In February 1915, the New York magazine, The Smart Set: A Magazine of Cleverness, featured a
piece called, The Flapper. This was the first time a magazine had ever shown the rebellious young
girl who wore short dresses and skirts in the 1920 s. The magazine described the flapper as A
charming creature! (The Smart Set : A Magazine of Cleverness) and continued to boast the
reputation of the flapperby portraying her as educated and mysterious. The magazine Vanity Fair
soon followed in September of 1921, but this magazine demolished the reputation of the flapper
girl. Why aren t they at home? (Panzini The Flapper a New Type: September 1921) the magazine
and the majority of people asked. The article then described how the image of the flapper girl is
distinguishing a mother from her daughter by the way they acted and dressed.
The image of a flapper girl was not just in the United States, for Germany and France had the
flapper girl as an icon. The term for flapper girl in Germany is, der Backfish, and in French it is l
IngГ©nue. (The Smart Set : A Magazine of Cleverness) Before the flapper girl, there was the era
of Victorian fashion, the role of women before World War One, and the role of women during
World War One. Post World War One, the focus on the image of women in society skyrocketed
through every day flapper girls and through publicized flapper girls such as famous actresses Clara
Bow and Louise Brooks. In the 1920 s, opportunities expanded dramatically for women,

  • 2. Negative Influences Of Fashion Teenagers are exposed to numerous different pressures of having perfect bodies, and attractive faces. Whether they get the advice from magazines, television, or the internet, many girls and boys want to achieve society s idea of exquisiteness and perfection. Since these outlooks are huge supporters to the adolescentslow self esteems, these are the prime reasons for the high numbers of cases and operations done. To begin, magazines are a huge factor towards the youth s views for beauty and trends. Many fashion companies and brands use teenagers for targeting advertising, since they are the next generation, or the future of fashion. However, the companies only place specific looks, and models expose the next generations to their ideals of beauty . The fashion world has evolved greatly through time, but still possess superficial opinions. Only a few types of beauty are acceptable. In fact, some fashion magazines in the United States still use unhealthy models, and heavily edited photos and discloses them as real, or natural. However, France and other countries are stopping the damaging trend. Writer, Venessa Friedman (2017), of the New York Times writes about the innovative laws and regulations for models and the fashion world. Models must obtain a medical certificate from doctors pronouncing them in healthy conditions and weights. The thinner models encourage eating disorders and teenagers to receive liposuction to achieve their smaller physique. To add, the laws decree ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Essay on Barriers and Disparities in Health Care Barriers and Disparities in Health Care NUR/550 June 8, 2012 Cynthia Holsen R.N. C.W.H.N.P. Barriers and Disparities in Health Care Everyone should have the opportunity to achieve a healthy life and have comprehensive health care services available to them. To achieve this healthy life, people need to have access to the health care system and to a health care provider with whom they can develop a trusting relationship. However, existing barriers to attaining health care services often lead to disparities which in turn lead to differences in life expectancy, health status and a higher prevalence of certain chronic diseases (HealthyPeople.gov, 2012). Barriers Barriers to health care can be defined as conditions that can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With the increasing immigrant population a third barrier affecting access to health care is a cultural barrier. Culture barriers can include values and beliefs, language and race and ethnicity. Health beliefs and behavior can become a barrier when patients decide not to seek medical treatment and instead turn to home remedies and healers when treating illnesses. Approximately 10% of Americans speak a language other than English and can be classified ad being limited in their proficiency. For these patients language becomes a barrier and they are less likely to receive optimal medical treatment (Flores, 2006). Horton and Johnson (2010) stress the importance of communication in reducing disparities and increasing the trust of patients in the health care system. As reported by the American College of Physicians, evidence reveals that racial and ethnic minorities are more likely to receive inferior care when compared with non minorities. This occurs even when minorities have access to insurance and adequate income (Racial and ethnic disparities in health care, 2010). Disparities Barriers in health care can lead to disparities in meeting health needs and receiving appropriate care, including preventive services and the prevention of unnecessary hospitalizations (HealthyPeople.gov, 2012). In their 2008 annual report, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality lists several disparities in health care. They report that racial and ethnic minorities in the United States ... • 4. The Good Shepherd And Thomas Groome s Shared Christian... At first glance, it may seem as if the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and Thomas Groome s Shared Christian Praxis have nothing in common with one another, but while they do share many differences, they also share some similarities. In terms of teaching the divine pedagogy, the two catechetical approaches of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherdand Shared Christian Praxis have some similar and some different theological, philosophical, and educational principles, which aid in the effectiveness of their practice for their specific target age group. First, the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a specific form of catechesis aimed towards children ages 3 to 12. There are three levels involved with this form of catechesis: level one (3 6 year olds), level two (7 9 year olds), and level three (10 12 year olds). The name of the space where this catechesis occurs is The Atrium, and the Atrium is designed specifically for the children with small tables, chairs, and shelves. A child s capacity for understanding God should be taken seriously, and the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd does this. In fact, it can be said that children have an extraordinary capacity for prayer, and theirs is a prayer of praise and thanksgiving, which expresses the nearness and transcendence of God (Cavalletti, 44). Through the Atrium, the children are able to build a relationship of love with the Good Shepherd, and they are able to learn and embrace the beauty of silence. The children engage ... But Canadian trade is twice as large, relative to GDP, as Australia s. Why should this be the case? While this demonstrates that the United States has an absolute advantage in services, this is neither a necessary nor a sufficient condition for determining comparative advantage. For this determination, the industry ratios are also required. The competitive advantage of any industry depends on both the relative productivities of the industries and the relative wages across industries. Page 2 of 11 Pages B5. Question # 8 of Ch 3 (8th ed. of the textbook) Anyone who has visited Japan know it is an incredibly expensive place; although Japanese workers earn about the same as their U.S. counterparts, the purchasing power of their incomes is about one third less. Extend your discussion from question 7 (of Chapter 3) to explain this observation. (Hint: Think about wages and the implied prices of nontraded goods.) While Japanese workers may earn the equivalent wages of U.S. workers, the purchasing power of their income is one third less. This implies that although w = w* (more or less), p p* (since 3p = p*). Since the United States is considerably more productive in services, service prices are relatively low. This benefits and enhances U.S. purchasing power. However, many of these services cannot be transported and hence, are not traded. This implies that the Japanese may not benefit from the lower U.S. services costs, and do not face an international price which is lower than their domestic price. Likewise, the price of ... Legislation provides a comprehensive instruction on what must be attained in respect to child protection and safeguarding. Where it is contained: Historically the EEC treaty contained no provision dealing with the concept of supremacy of Community law over the national law of member states. The case concerned the creation of E.N.E.L an Italian electricity company by the Italian government under a law passed in 1962 to nationalise the electricity industry. Costa refused to pay his electricity bill on the basis that the nationalisation of electricity providers infringed the Italian Constitution and several provisions of the EC treaty. The ECJ in deciding the case stated that: the precedence of community law is confirmed by article 189 (now 288) of the treaty, whereby a regulation shall be binding and directly applicable on all member states. Data suggests that viral infections promote hallmark events seen in neuronal degeneration such as in Alzheimer s Disease (AD). In AD, protein aggregates of ОІ amyloid peptides forming plaques and neurofibrillary tangles composed of hyperphosphorylated tau has been shown to impair brain functions. Areas affected are the hippocampus and cerebral cortex responsible for cognitive and locomotor skills. Other contributing factors to neuronal degeneration includes oxidative stress, and modifications to autophagic and apoptotic pathways. This paper looks at herpes simplex type 1 involvement in AD. History The origin of Herpes Virus is unknown but its lesions and transmission were recognized by Hippocrates and Shakespeare during earlier times (Kaplan 1973). Assembling a Boeing 737 is a typical job. Engineers to machinists were involved in lean (reducing waste) in the factory. By creating an assembly line, aircraft will pass through the workers were they going to concentrate on assembling. Allocating all employees in the factory building and organising special teams helped a lot to solve the errors in the assembly line [2]. In the assembly line, there are eight beacon lights which reflect the production status. If everything is good it shows green colour. If an error occurs, the worker will press a button and the green light will changes to yellow and the panel board will shows the category of the problem(which category it is related to). The worker will pass on to a computer and writes about the problem in a brief manner and the problem should be assigned to special team to solve it within 30 minutes if not, the light turns to purple and the assembly line will shuts down. Why the Spanish Armada Invaded Britain and Lost Essay Spanish Armada Essay In this essay I am going to look at why the Spanish armada wanted to invade Britain and why they failed to do so, was it down to luck or were the British too smart for the Spanish. And was it all England s glory? The Spanish wanted to invade England was mainly to turn England back into a catholic country, and to get Queen Elizabeth of the throne and to get a queen who was for the catholic monarch on the throne. However there are many other reasons: Firstly Philip II couldn?t accept that was not the king of England, as he was married to Queen Mary I, who was the Queen before Elizabeth. During the sail up to England the Armada were told to keep a crescent formation no matter what happened this was the golden rule. The idea of this was so if an English ship was to come in from behind they could scoop it up like a net. The formation was that the stronger ships would go at the front so they could easily surround any English ships that threatened the centre. This was the plan, however it did not all go that way! Lord Howard, commander of the English fleet, used some of the lighter and faster English ships to ?pick off? some of the stragglers (ones that were lagging behind) whilst they were sailing up the English channel. Unfortunately this did not really affect the crescent shape. Next came arguably one of the smartest moves in the battle, on 7th August Sir Francis Drake sent out a number of old ships that had been set on fire, the Spanish were petrified, they were not sure if the Ships had explosives on it, if they did so did the Spanish ships and the chances of them setting on fire was very high. In the text it states, The two project directors reply that they will not purchase the pots themselves, nor will they guarantee that authorities will not be notified. They do, however, loan the men some gasoline and a video camera for a day, to record the pots and their location. It is questionable that the two directors would only imply that they could not promise the authorities would not be notified. It is their duty to do so, according to the statements and ethical codes of many archaeological organizations. They also give the local employees gasoline and a video camera for a day leads the reader to believe that they are okay with this sort of behavior and have no intention of notifying the proper authorities. It also says that because of the video camera, many of the villagers now know where the cave is, and will likely know what ends up happening to the pots. Under this absence of representation for every group or nation, the universal list has proven to be impossible to accept within societies different from Western culture, such as in the case of the Santa Clara Pueblo. The Native Americans were considered to be a group excluded from the human rights draft, and therefore, they did not adopt this list of human rights into their society. Assimilation, according to Rodriguez, is the integration of one s culture with another. Rodriguez is not in favor of or against assimilation but acknowledges that it is occurring in America. Rodriguez first discusses the Canadian model of assimilation, where individuals in a mixed race culture prefer to remain ethnically and culturally separate. Rodriguez proposes that America adopts a Mexican model of assimilation, where one is classified by the culture that one adopts rather than by one s skin color. • 40. Whole Foods Business Strategy In July of 2017, Amazon made headlines by stating they would be acquiring the Whole Foods grocery chain. Much of the public questioned why an e commerce website such as Amazon would have any interest in acquiring a grocery chain, but the answer is more obvious than outside observers may think. By acquiring Whole Foods, Amazon is tapping into a larger market share of grocery consumers and able to make a larger leap towards opening Amazon styled grocery stores across the world. Amazon has grown into a company with many different facets since its founding in 1994. The company has expanded into the market of video steaming services with AmazonPrime, online grocery services with AmazonFresh, and even local grocery stores with AmazonGo. I foresee Amazon implementing new technological and managerial advancements in the existing and future Whole Foods locations within the coming years. The AmazonGo store model thrives off of providing efficient interactions with customers while cutting out many employees in the process. Since 2015, the stock price of Whole Foods was at a steady decline due in partly to the way employees were hired and managed. Amazon has a great deal of experience managing their staff efficiently from its e commerce platform, so this change of management should work wonders on the amount of staffing problems within Whole Foods as well. By reanalyzing Whole Food s staffing needs, Amazon should be able to turn the company around into a profitable investment in the near ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Pros And Cons Of Net Neucy Net neutrality is the basis in which all internet providers must treat data on the Internet equally and not charge differently based on what device , website, application you use, or content you decide to view. The recent vote in the U.S. to repeal net neutrality s guidelines is unjust because it violates 1st amendment guidelines, gives the people less freedom, and gives Internetservice providers many ways to meddle with data speeds and how their users use the Internet. • 42. Thomas Friedman’S Introduction Started With A Brief History Thomas Friedman s introduction started with a brief history of how we found out that the world is round. He then went from talking about the 1400s to the present time and finished his paragraph with The world is flat. (Pg.33). Obviously, we all know that the world is round, so this caught my attention because I wanted to understand what he was about to explain. He spoke about how technology and globalizationchanged people s lives and many people didn t realize it. In the business sector a globalization effect that has personally affected me is the advancement in transportation. We have jet engines, container ships that move product from country to another. Depending on which perspective I m seeing through globalization, it is either a pro or a con. If I see transportation globalization as an employee then it is a con for myself, because jobs are being given to people in other countries for less. Then from a consumer perspective, I benefit from transportation globalization because now the product is cheaper and now I am paying less. On a daily basis transportation globalization affects me on a more personal level. For example, when I order something online and the store doesn t have the item on stock then they will use the internet to strategize supply and demand to a certain area. And then as soon as I order my item, the store will instantly deliver my item either to my shipping address or to the closest store available to me. Another way that transportation globalization affects me directly is through the use of mobile applications such as Uber and Lyft. Through the use of these applications, I can get transportation rides from one destination to another.
