Compare And Contrast Essay On Android And Iphones
Imagine that someone wants to be like someone else that is cool and wants to be like them and wear
the same stuff that they are wearing and wants to get the same phone because everybody has the same
phone but they go to the phone store and they just found out that they can t get an iphone because it s
so expensive and they can t afford it and they were looking at android phones and they found out that
it s a lot more better when it comes to expenses .Many people these days fight over to talk about
which phone is better Android or Iphones, but they are just phones but there are ups and downs for
both of the brands. One of the reasons is that the expenses of the phones that they make, Almost
everyone can afford and Android they come in different prices and apple prices are really high and a
lot of people can t get that phone because they can t afford it. Android is the most selling phone to this
day still. Another reason is that multitasking is a lot easier they introduced multi window awhile ago,
which means you can look at several apps at once. My last reason is that androids are able to take the
batteries out because they die over time.
My main reason is that androids are a lot more cheaper and is around most peoples prices that they are
looking for. And apple keeps their iphones at ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One argument is because maybe headphones may come with them them or they charge better and last
a lot longer but with androids if your charger breaks you can go out and buy them instead of going
online and buy it and wait a couple days just for a charger. And they could argue that iphone screens
are better because they are bigger but that doesn t mean it is always good because they are having
problems with the screens popping out and the phones bending. Lastly the newer iphones they make it
where you cant plug your headphones into the phone and they are making it where you have to use
bluetooth headphones which could be a lot more

The Assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy
In 1961 John Fitzgerald Kennedy would be sworn in as the 35th President of the United States. He
was a young, Catholic, democrat. Needless to say, many people were wary of whether or not his
religion would influence his decision or if he would become an advocate for Catholic beliefs. Unlike
many of the past Presidents, the first lady will play a major role for the duration Kennedy was
President. Being the leader of the United States was very important and many precautions were
required to keep the first family safe. The secret service is in charge of making sure the President and
his family are safe. Clint Hill, a Secret Service agent on President Eisenhower s detail, continues his
service, this time assigned to the first lady, Jacqueline ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kennedy preferred to operate. Spontaneity is what she thrived on (Hill and McCubbin 41). I imagine
that some people were under the impression that Mrs. Kennedy may not be thankful for all she had
experienced, but she was always described as very shy, which I think served as a barrier to deal with
the overwhelming attention she was given.Hill, although reluctant to be on the first lady s detail, came
to have a deep respect and loyalty her. Hill assumed that life would be dull with Mrs. Kennedy, but he
was completely wrong. This proved to be true during a trip to Greece. Mrs. Kennedy tried her best to
stay away from the White House as much as possible. Clint said on numerous occasions that, ...she
could have anything she wanted, but what she craved most was privacy (Hill and McCubbin 226). She
even confided in Hill, mentioning that she was scared of losing her privacy. As a way of avoiding the
White House, Mrs. Kennedy had a plan of where their family would spend Winters, Christmases,
Thanksgivings, and Summers in a variety of places. She kept busy and was always involved in some
type of athletic activity as some sort of way to distract herself from the ubiquitous paparazzi. Mrs.
Kennedy also liked to travel out of the country to visit her sister or to

The Values Of A College Is A Community College
A college is an educational institution where you earn the skill, the values, the education, the degree to
succeed in life. It may be a four year college, a community college or an institution that offers
vocational education. Now that you know how I define a college, I would like to explain the prompt
and my viewpoint. Stephanie Owen and Isabel Sawhill, in their report published in 2013 by the
Brookings Institution, mention for certain schools, majors, occupations and individuals, a college may
not be a smart investment (page 209), to which I completely disagree. I will use the following
paragraphs to substantiate my viewpoint that, college indeed is a smart investment irrespective of the
occupations and majors, by citing examples, quotes, and some personal anecdotes. As John Stuart Mill
once said and I quote the objective of universities is not to make skillful lawyers, physicians, or
engineers, but capable and cultivated human beings . From the discussion in the class, we reached a
similar conclusion about how college plays an important role in our lives and enlisted reasons for
attending college. College presents a myriad of opportunities in terms of networking, for jobs. It helps
a person to grow into a skillful, well educated individual. It assists a person to

Analyzing The Many Facets We Face
The purpose of this commentary paper is to explain and describe the many facets we face in our
working day. I work for a company that makes aftermarket parts for mining dragline shovels,
extensive cutting spades, parts for railroad rail cars, undercarriages for TRAC type equipment, and the
notorious NASA Space Shuttle program in which we built the shuttle crawler which transported the
Space Shuttle to the launch pad. Our environment is very dynamic and spans across different cultures
and countries.
Have you ever thought about how companies maintain a working relationship with other countries
working in the same line of business? Let me tell you, that we are not all that different, as we share
rather the same goals and results. A working environment that is motivated by the mining industry is
both dynamic and exciting. Our company is based out of Gillette, Wyoming and has a population of
29,000 people. The resources and availability factors skilled labor and education in the mining
industry with a communication infrastructure. The mining industry follows a code of law which is
strongly influenced by OSHA s rules and regulations, which sometimes are policed by political
processes. Today, many companies if not most, are driven by digital access. We rely on connectivity to
ensure a strong infrastructure, keeping connectivity reliable and consistent supporting a precise
manufacturing process. Our company has a global presence in Chile, India, Mexico, Canada, as well

The Branch Davidian Compound Raid
The Branch Davidian Compound Raid: Waco, TX 1993
On the morning of April 19, 1993, heavily armed FBI and ATF agents moved into the compound
puncturing holes in the compound walls so they could pump in tear gas, to flush out the cult members
with the least harm. Using loudspeakers, officers told the Branch Davidians no armed assault would
be made and to hold their fire. When cult members opened their weapons, the FBI increased the tear
gas assault and began firing military grenade launches at the building. At around noon, three fires
broke out in different parts of the compound, allegedly set by the Branch Davidians. The fire spread,
trapping cult members, while others refused to leave, eventually perishing in the smoke and the blaze
(Final 24). In all, only nine people escaped. The remaining 76 cult members, including 17 children,
were buried alive by rubble, suffocated by the effects of the fire, or shot/stabbed. Although many
people followed this 51 day siege, if someone was to look at the news and see this giant compound on
fire with children burning they might wonder, how did this happen? Why was it being aired live? Who
shot first? Can you believe this whole incident happened just to serve a search warrant?
Many of those questions still linger around this horrific incident in Waco, TX, my hometown. I was
only a baby when this happened, but my dad is a great primary source for this incident. My dad, Van
Cammack, used to give flying lessons out of a small grass strip

Theory Of Multiple Intelligences Theory
Many theories exist around the world involving many different subjects. Some theories are in the
science area while others are in the psychology area. One psychology theory that is used in education
is the theory of Multiple Intelligences. The Multiple Intelligences Theory is a theory that shows the
nine intelligences all individuals possess, with some individuals being more strong in some
intelligences more than the others. Knowing the nine intelligences that exist, it is easier for educators
to be able to teach students in the intelligence they are strongest in. The Multiple Intelligences Theory
s key points are that all individuals possess the nine intelligences, each intelligence can be improved

Howard Gardner s Multiple Intelligences Theory is a theory with nine intelligences. The nine
intelligences that are in the Multiple Intelligences Theory are the visual spatial intelligence, the
linguistic verbal intelligence, the mathematical intelligence, the kinesthetic intelligence, the musical
intelligence, the interpersonal intelligence, the intrapersonal intelligence, the naturalistic intelligence,
and the existential intelligence (Cherry, 2016b). These intelligences are possessed by all individuals
with some being stronger in some more than in others. Some individuals may be stronger in the visual
spatial intelligence, which means they learn better when being able to watch videos and pictures or
doing things that lets you see rather than hear. A person that is strongest in the kinesthetic intelligence
are strongest in body movement and these people like to dance and learn better by dancing or moving
their body. The second key point in Howard Gardner s Multiple Intelligences Theory is that a weak
intelligence can be improved with the right instruction. If an individual is weak in one intelligence, it
can be improved with the right instruction. For example, if an individual lacks in the verbal linguistic
intelligence, he can take English classes or Communication classes in order to better improve in the
verbal linguistic intelligence. If an individual is

Philosophy Of Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Philosophy and Approach
I am a mental health counselor working towards licensure in the state of Washington. I have a master s
degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University Seattle. In my current
counseling practice, I work with individual adults (over 18). I take a humanistic approach to therapy;
in our sessions together, we will focus on the here and now of your experience, while also exploring
your past and social context to the extent they are relevant to your present concerns. Our first meeting
will be a time for you to tell your story; then, together, we will assess your concerns and issues, and
decide on the goals toward which you would like to move (Hilton, 2016). As we continue through the
therapy process, we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I am committed to embracing cultural diversity and social responsibility in my counseling practice
(Corey, et al., 2015, p. 112). I am committed to my own cultural competency and, although I am not
perfect, I am open to learning and growth (p. 118). I invite you to challenge my assumptions. Many
therapy approaches reflect Western patriarchal values that do not fit the needs of all cultural
perspectives (p. 117 118). I consider your disclosure of personal information to be an important aspect
of therapy, but I will encourage you to self disclose according to your own timeline, not mine (p. 120).
Some people hesitate to speak due to respect and cultural norms, so I encourage you to let me know
when I am being too direct or assertive in my questions (p. 122). Therapy sometimes assumes a goal
of individualization, buy I realize this might not be your goal, so I am open to exploring issues of
collective responsibility as well as self actualization (p. 123). Finally, I come from a Western cultural
orientation, both personally and professionally, and am often unconscious of my nonverbal behaviors,
so I encourage you to let me know when I treat you disrespectfully in my use of eye contact, facial
expression, or gestures, or when my interventions feel uncomfortably personal or intrusive (p. 123).
Recognizing our own cultural and historical embeddedness can remind us that our assumptions about
what a person is and what a person should be or become

THE MIRACULOUS SALVATION OF SAUL OF TARSUS Thesis: To understand the impact of
Christ s intervention in Saul s life, we need to focus on three separate descriptions of Saul that
Scriptures teach: Saul of Tarsus before his conversion, Saul s encounter with Christ and his
supernatural conversion, and Saul s name changed to Paul after Christ converted and called him to
preach and write much of the New Testament. . Introduction . Saul of Tarsus s Life Before Conversion

Acts 7:58 59 reads, When they had driven him out of the city, they began stoning him; and the
witnesses laid aside their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul. They went on stoning Stephen
as he called on the Lord and said, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit! Saul, later named Paul, admittedly
confesses he consented and was present when Stephen was murdered. Saul was deceived by Satan,
and blinded by his zeal to stand solely on the Torah. Saul admits that his conscience continually
badgered him in reference to his behavior and actions. We see this in Acts 26:14 which reads, And
when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew dialect, Saul, Saul,
why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads. Every Christian can see hope
in the conversion of Saul. First because anyone, no matter how sinful, can be converted and changed.
Secondly, there is hope that God will never leave persecuted Christians, and He will use every
situation to fulfill his will.
Saul s Encounter with Christ
Saul was traveling near Damascus on his way to persecute and possibly kill more Christians. He had
no idea that he was moments away from conversion into the Gospel of Christ for which he currently
hated. His conversion is brought upon by a bright light, a voice from heaven, and sudden blindness.
Acts 9:3 reads, As he was traveling, it happened that he was approaching Damascus,

The Immigration Is Not A New Concept Within The 21th Century
The immigration is not a new concept in the 21th century. Throughout history, people would travel
into new places to establish better lives. Immigration involves the movement of people from their
home country to a host country, which they are not native, to settle and live. People migrate for many
reasons; some of which include economic or political reasons, family reunification, natural disasters,
or the desire to change one s surroundings. Today, the influx of migration became a dilemma in
European nations, which ultimately brought so many people from other nations to get settled,
especially from war countries. Leaving your country into a new place might be the hardest decision in
your life you make, since you have no knowledge about it your new place. For the last few years,
thousands of immigrants from the Middle East, South Asia, and Asia are crossing the borders of
Europe illegally to look for new places and live in better. They take so much risks in their lives and
some even cannot make it through due to the brutality of borders and waters of the seas and oceans.
Immigrants get drowned in the sea. A friend of mine who left Afghanistan last year with his two
children and wife, his older son sunk in the Mediterranean Sea and died. Is it worth it? However, those
even who make to their final destinations have also have so much difficulties to get settled. For
example, some European nations do not accept the flow of immigrants because they argue that
immigrants will

Four seasons needed to get it down to the front line: clerks, bell staff, bartenders, waiters, cooks,
housekeepers, and dishwashers, the lowest paid and in most companies the least motivated people, but
the ones who would make or break a five star service reputation. Four seasons needs employees able
and willing to respond on their own to whatever comes up, employees who can spot, solve, and even
anticipate problems. That means delegating authority as well as responsibility. Four seasons pay
attention on how to treat employees and make them feel confortable when they work in hotel because
employees could bring positive attitude towards customers if they in good mood.

Endothtermic And Exothermic Reaction Lab Report
Introduction:
Chemical reactions make new things by rearranging other things. In a chemical reaction, the main
change that occurs relates to the way atoms are bonded to each other, in order to change those
connections, bonds must be broken and new bonds be formed.
It s important to understand that it takes energy to break bonds and that energy is released when bonds
are formed.
Chemical reactions that release energy are called exothermic reactions, these reactions are observed by
an increase in temperature of the reaction mixture.
Chemical reactions that absorb energy are called endothermic reactions, these reactions are observed
by a decrease in temperature of the reaction mixture.
Endothermic and Exothermic reactions release or absorb energy, the graph above shows the way in
which the chemical energy changes.
In this experiment, we investigate the change in temperature caused by adding a chemical substance
into the water and dissolving it. The results recorded in the table below show that our hypothesis is
correct.
Aim:
To investigate temperature changes that occur as a result of exothermic and endothermic reactions.
Hypothesis:
It s predicted that when adding the chemical substance into the water, energy will be released or
absorbed, this will be observed by a temperature change, therefore, there would be an exothermic or
endothermic reaction.
Materials: solid ammonium chloride, solid calcium chloride, 100 ml beaker, water, thermometer.

Dune Essay
Dune
This book all started with the family Atreides landing on plant Arrakis, commonly known as Dune.
The planet Dune was the centre of the universe due to its immense amounts of spice. This spice is
greatly needed for all planets as fuel and for raw materials. The family Atreides were asked by
Emperor himself to go and mine the spice on the planet. Their greatest enemy the Harkonnen s, were
also on Dune. These two families mining the precious spice on the same plant would lead to great
troubles and wars.
Soon after that, I was introduced to a very brave and insightful young man. The young man is Paul

They taught Paul much about fighting and protecting himself from his enemies. These men along with
Paul s mother and father helped prepare him for the coming hardships ahead. A group of people
named the Fremen also were presented. They were people who lived in the desert within the forbidden
zone. The forbidden zone was where no one would ever travel. It was said that there are huge masses
of Fremen there along with giant sandworms reaching a length of four hundred and fifty meters. The
Fremen harvested spice, lived in the cities and in underground cities. Their eyes were bright blue on
blue due to the saturation of the spice which changed their colour. The beginning of this book was
very interesting and told me much about each characters background and personality. I knew there
was something special about Paul and his mother right from the start just by how the author described
them. The family Atreides was very strong and even feared by the Emperor himself because he knew
that Paul was the prophet who was destined to stop all violence, hunger, spice mining, armies and
fighting. He was to bring a new era along with his leadership. This frightened the Emperor that forced
him to act against the
Atreides family.
The Harkonnen s seemed a bit too uninteresting and average to me. They were evil and hated all that
was good. The author should of added a bit more spice to their characters. This would of made the

Student Learning Style Essay
Literature Review: The Effectiveness of Teaching According to Student Learning Styles
In the Classroom
Jenna Scifo
Liberty University
Abstract
In the last 20 30 years, learning styles has been a heavily debated topic in the field of education. Many
teachers and schools have adopted the learning style approach into their classrooms. The idea of
teaching students according to their preferred learning style is attracting to many, yet some believe it is
another generalized theory that has little or no validity. Research over time has investigated the
implications of using the learning style theory in classrooms and in the work place. Much of the
research that has been conducted thus far show positive results of its effectiveness. ... Show more

According to his theory, people have strengths in some areas and weaknesses in other areas. The areas
of strength are areas of intelligence in which they learn best. The following list is Gardner s original
multiple intelligences list: 1. Logical mathematical learn best with logic, abstractions, reasoning and
numbers 2. Spatial ability to visualize with the mind s eye 3. Linguistic good with words, verbal or
written 4. Bodily kinesthetic learn best by movement 5. Musical sensitivity to sound, tone, pitch, and
music 6. Interpersonal awareness of others and their feelings 7. Intrapersonal self reflective and
intuitive
Since Gardner s original listing of the multiple intelligences, he has added 2 more intelligences: 1.
Naturalistic relating to one s environment or natural surrounding 2. Existential intuition and ability to
understand other and the world around them
Gardner s theory implied that people have one or more intelligences that determine how they learn
best. This theory, like other learning style theories, opposed general ability learning. It is student
centered and has been implemented in curriculums across the country (Gardner, 1993).
Positive Results in Studies about Learning Styles A common occurrence in many studies conducted on
teaching according to learning styles is the positive results that take place. Strecker s study indicated

Comparison Of Dystopias And The New Harmony Society
Utopias and dystopias are two complete opposite societies. A utopia is defined as any real or
imaginary society, place, or state that are considered to be perfect or ideal ( Utopia ). Everyone has a
different idea of what a perfect world would be. This makes creating a utopia for everyone very
difficult. One person s utopia may be a dystopia for another. Dystopias are defined as a society
characterized by human misery, as squalor, oppression, disease, and overcrowding ( Dystopia ). Both
Oceania and the New Harmony Society started out with the intention of being a utopia; over time,
these two societies changed into dystopias for more than one reason.
Utopias are a great thing: however, most utopias do not remain utopias. With time, these utopias can

Everyone wants to have power and money so eventually the society turns corrupt and certain people
feel inferior to others. The government slowly but surely changes and things go from great to horrible.
Some examples of utopias are The Garden of Eden, Heaven, and for a short period of time, the New
Harmony colony. Examples of dystopias are Present in the book The Hunger Games , the book 1984,
and The New Harmony society.
Both Oceania and New Harmony considered themselves to be a utopia. George Rapp founded a
society that he believed would have a community free of individualism, exploitation, social tension,
and political corruption. When joining the New Harmony society, Members signed over all their
property to the community; they pledged to live in celibacy; and they prayed for the Second Coming
as depicted in Father Rapp s weekly sermons. (Communitarianism). The members must agree to these
guidelines and give their consent in order to be accepted into the society. Once they agree to these

Imprisonment and Social Control Essay
Imprisonment is one of the primary ways in which social control may be achieved; the Sage
Dictionary of Criminology defines social control as a concept used to describe all the ways in which
conformity may be achieved. Throughout time imprisonment and its ideas around social control have
varied. Imprisonment has not always been used for punishment, nor has it always thought about the

Throughout the years, the use of imprisonment has varied, along with its influences of society. It is
thought that although prisons have been around since the thirteenth century, prisons as we know them
now to be have only been around for the last three centuries. The first uses of prisons were not seen as
a form of punishment instead they were used as a way of making people do something. People would
be held in prison until they paid their debts, or awaiting trial and then leading up to their sentence.
McGowen (1995) suggests that from the early 1700s bridewells a house of correction have existed,
however at that time being used merely for vagrants and drunks. At the end of the sixteenth century
there was a shift in punishment to imprisonment, along with this came a new, more humane idea of
reform. Criminals would spend their days of prison carrying out hard labour. However after the
American Revolution, imprisonment took a step back and there was another change. There was mass
overcrowding within the prison service and although the death penalty was still being used it was a
symbol of the power of the state. Therefore, an everyday way of dealing with offenders would be
transportation to the colonies, being either Australia or America.
It was with the work of Beccaria and Bentham that saw a change in imprisonment. Jeremy Bentham
(1748 1832) insisted crime prevention was the only way

Argumentative Essay On Deep Brain Stimulators
There are many illnesses, pertaining to both medical and psychological, that affect the health and
wellbeing of countless other people. Some examples of these types of diseases would be Parkinson s
disease and obsessive compulsive disorder. While the effects of the disease can be suppressed by
pharmaceutical means, there comes a point when medicine is simply not enough. This in turn led to
the usage of deep brain stimulators to help ameliorate problems that medicine could not. Although
implementing deep brain stimulators is a new procedure that has been in practice since over twenty
years ago, many experts agree that using them is not a panacea because there can be many problems
from them. Since deep brain stimulators are recently new in the medical field, there are positive and
negative effects still being discovered. To begin with, according to an article written by Lyons, MD,

INTRODUCTION
What is stem cell research?
Stem cell research is the study and use of embryonic and adult cells towards development of medical
science. The study of stem cells has become a major focus in the world of medicine because of its
great potential to cure common illnesses such as; Parkinson s disease, cerebral palsy and diabetes. The
study of maturing stem cells gives scientists insight into possible cures for these diseases and
potentially can give information on how they occur.
History and development of stem cell research
Stem cell research was first developed in the mid 1800 s when scientists discovered the cells ability to
produce other cells. The first medical attempt to use harvested cells was in the early 1900 s when
scientists tried to fertilized eggs outside the human body. The first successful attempt to use stem cells
from bone marrow was in 1968 which was an allogeneic transplant between two siblings. Since then
stem cell research has developed as the medical world gains new understanding of the cells potential.
The use of adult stem cells in modern world medicine such as leukemia and heart disease shows the
progress the scientific world has made.
Different kinds of stem cells and stem cell research
There are two main types of stem cells; embryonic and adult, which are put into three categorizations;
totipotent, pluripotent and multipotent.

Compare And Contrast The Storm By Kate Chopin And Sexy
The storm by Kate Chopin and Sexy by Jhumpa Lahiri The Storm is short story written by Kate
Chopin. It is a story featuring a family living in Louisiana. The family consists of a husband, Bobinot,
wife Calixta, and their son Bibi. The story starts with an approaching storm when Bibi and his father
are at a local store and Calixta is all alone home. As the storm starts, Alcee, Calixta s old boyfriend
gets stuck at her house because of the raging storm. In the middle of the storm, Alcee and Calixta
make out and have a sexual intercourse and as the storm stops, Alcee leaves while Bobinot and Bibi
arrive home. The story is about betrayal, affair, and the role of women in the society. Sexy is a short
story written by Jhumpa Lahiri. The story is about extramarital affairs and the meaning of the word
sexy. The story begins with Miranda and her friend Laxmi who continuously tells her about her cousin
who is being left by her husband for a younger woman. Lahiri already introduces us to an extra marital
affair in the story. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

at home taking care of household chores while the husband and the son are away from home. A

Calixta is seen performing household chores which have been labeled as women s work. For instance,

New Moon Essay
New Moon by Stephenie Meyer This book was quite suspenseful. While the series is known as being
mainly romantically based, New Moon contains a great deal of mystery. At the beginning, Bella is
unwrapping a present while at the house of her boyfriend (who just so happens to be a vampire). His
family is there, too, so when she gets a paper cut on her finger and then falls onto a glass table and
slices her arms up, it s a disaster. With all that blood, it definitely seems like the vampires would
devour her. However, they don t. A few days later, Edward moves away because he believes it s too
dangerous for them to be together. This leaves you wondering if he ll ever come back. Then, Bella
finds that if she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Things then turn desperate as Edward is slowly pulling away from her. The next part of the book is the
part that s always the hardest for me to read. The tone of the middle part is incredibly devastated until
Bella meets Jacob. Then a little hope comes through because he s finally getting her happy once again.
While she s still in love with Edward, things are better when Jacob is around. A bit of time passes, and
then the book gets suspenseful and tense because Bella nearly kills herself by cliff jumping. Edward
thinks that she is actually dead, so he is going to attempt to kill himself, and Bella has to try to rescue
him. My favorite quote from the book is said by Bella a few months after Edward has left. She feels
that her life has basically ended, and she s spent the past few months in a zombie like state. The quote
is, Time passes. Even when it seems impossible. Even when each tick of the second hand aches like
the pulse behind a bruise. It passes unevenly, in strange lurches and dragging lulls, but pass it does.
Even for me. Another quote that gets me every time I think about it is said by Edward after him and
Bella are reunited at the end. It is, Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but
there were stars points of light and reason. And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly
everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there

How Does George Orwell Use Language In Animal Farm
In the words of George Orwell, Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder
respectable . In 1983, Penguin Groups published a hallowing allegory about the deception of political
advocacy and the dangers of totalitarianism. This story Animal Farm written by George Orwell,
illustrates the tragedy and corruption that consumed Russia through the Soviet Union s rise and reign.
Though short and humble, this political satire compels the reader to acknowledge governmental
extortion of power and the influence of language. On Animal Farm, the pigs use the communication of
fear, desires, and deceit to promote their agendas and bring about total submission from their fellow
animals. In order to gain loyalty, subjection, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

pigs are easily able to persuade the animals things are different than what they are. The pigs are taking
hold of this advantage, deceiving by utilizing their intelligence and the others stupidity. At the most
tragic part of the story, as Boxer is being sent away to be killed, Squealer settles the others by telling
them he was there at his beside (85) as he drew his final breath. Even in the cruel murder of one of
Animal Farm s most loyal citizens, Squealer deceives the ignorant animals with dramatic words and
illustration. The animals, being fully disillusioned by his lies, proceed to do nothing about the
corruption of their dear Animal Farm. The pigs gain full control, power, and dictatorship over farm as

Student-Teacher Relationships in Teacher Program Education s

that it should have been better to tell the Student Teacher to prepare more consciously the key

The mentoring interactions portray habitual classroom situations that help thinking over particular
Student Teachers performance (Clarke, 2001) eliciting, as a consequence, tacit knowledge that is only
in the expert teacher mind. These genuine interactions between an expert teacher and a student teacher
triggers critical reflection processes on teaching experiences and invites to further think of what can be
done in similar future situations. In this chapter our objective is twofold: On one hand we aim at (1)
stressing the relevance of seizing the practical knowledge that emerge in mentoring conversations as
the one contained in the previous example leaving other aspects of the interaction behind (i.e. personal
engagement, emotional commitment, roles, etc.); and, on the other hand, (2) describing a possible
procedure that may help to make that practical knowledge not only explicit but also understandable
and useful for other teachers. Along these lines, and according to the objectives, we will structure the
chapter into two major sections: theoretical underpinnings in teacher mentoring; and methods to
analyze mentoring interactions. The first one will revolve around positioning research efforts around
three main viewpoints and highlighting the branch that actually stress that mentoring is a form of
making expert teachers practical knowledge accessible/explicit. We will end that section by stating

Who Is Walter Mitty In Third Person
When I write I almost always go with third person narrative. It s easy, creates good imagery, and it
gives the author more freedom. I believe, in part, that this is why James Thurber write this story in
third person. However, I also believe that third person simply fit better with what he was trying to
convey about Walter Mitty, the titular main character.
Firstly, as I said before, James Thurber possibly could have written Walter Mitty s story in third person
because it allowed him to tell the story in a way that was easy to understand and so that we could get a
good understanding of Walter s mind. Walter is a forgetful, daydreaming, ordinary guy. He s bossed

is extraordinary and beloved by everyone. Third person allows Thurber to smoothly transition between

Advantages Of The French Presidential System
France
1. After reading about Britain s parliamentary system, as well having a familiarity with the United
States presidential system, the French semi presidential system is more effective than the United State
s system, and I would prefer this system. The semi presidential system is a bit more complicated than
every other system I have learned about. The French system uses a mixture of the premier as well as
the president. Under the president is the cabinet and ministries. The president serves as a guide for the
nations versus a supreme leader (Roskin 87 8). I would prefer this system to the United States system.
This is because of the advantages of the semi presidential system. Some of the advantages include the
fact that the president and the parliament do not serve the same amount of time on their terms. If there
are people serving on each side who are not serving to the best of their ability, they can be taken out of
power. It would not be at the same time, which is an advantage because the ideas of the new person
serving could work with the ideas of the person serving along with them. This way, a whole fresh set
of new ideas does not come in at one time. The president currently can serve two consecutive five year
terms, while the prime minister has no outlined term limits. For the prime minister to stay in power
they must maintain the support of the National Assembly. (Roskin 80 82). There are new ideas flowing
in either every five years or every ten. This is just one advantage to this system. Another advantage to
the semi presidential system is the multitude of ideas that are able to come through. There are so many
people who are able to contribute to the semi presidential system, that every voter s idea should be
represented. On the other hand, a disadvantage to the semi presidential system is the fact that there are
multiple representatives. The multitude of representatives can have too many ideas, and it can be hard
to get things accomplished when all of their ideas are pinned against each other. Overall, I would
prefer this method of governance because despite the multitude of ideas, more is able to get
accomplished.

Influence Of Leonardo Da Vinci On Modern Art
Introduction
Leonardo da Vinci is one of the most well known and acknowledged historical figure of all times. His
genius excelled in arts, mathematics, engineering, science, philosophy and many other fields.
I have chosen the topic How did Leonardo da Vinci influence modern artists? for several reasons. First
and foremost reason is that I am fascinated by the enigma of a man we know as Leonardo da Vinci.
The mysterious workings of his brain and the works he created as a result of numerous hours of
analyzing the surrounding world amaze me. Secondly, as a contemporary artist myself, who was
greatly inspired by da Vinci s craft, I wondered if nowadays there are people who share my passion
and admiration for the man to a great extent. Lastly, I always knew that Leonardo da Vinci had had a
great impact on the modern world, but it interested me to find out to what extent exactly had he
influenced the world of modern art and if artists ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many historians and art critics came to a conclusion that his works have had a tremendous impact not
only on the style of art, but also n the direction in which it has developed. By studying Da Vinci s art,
artists learn versatility and open up to a new perception on traditional techniques. Leonardo da Vinci is
a remarkable representative of the Renaissance period and, just like any other artist of his time, his
works mainly featured religious themes.
His artworks have a distinctive impact on the viewer, which makes them distinguishable among any
other artwork of the time. His paintings had had a strong influence on the artists of the future.
While some may deem Leonardo da Vinci paintings tame in their total effect on our society s modern
sensibilities, his development of techniques that immersed the viewer in the world of the painting, and
the impact of those techniques cannot be understated. 1

The Case Study Western National Insurance
Every organization is at risk for financial hardship. It takes a strong, dedicated leader to bring a
company out of loss and turn it around. This is what happened at Western Insurance Agency from the
late 1990s to the early 2000s. Stu Henderson, the newly hired CEO at the time, brought the
organization back to success by supporting and engaging stakeholders. This research will highlight all
stakeholders described in the case study Western National Insurance, the actions taken by Henderson
to support and engage Western National Insurance stakeholders, and an evaluation of these actions
using leadership theories. The assessment will consider how successful leaders excel at understanding
themselves and others, at motivating group members to excel, and at facilitating group members to
learn and perform their work more effectively, with the overall effect of enhancing organizational
capacity.
Several internal and external stakeholders were described in the case study Western National
Insurance. They include independent agents, employees, business partners, customers, business
customers, regulators, policyholders, Creameries, board members, homeowners, managers, A.M. Best,

measurable achievements in kindergarten readiness. The strategies that are presented are grounded in
evidence based practices, and are exclusively intended to be used as a guide for policymakers,
legislators, caregivers, early care and education providers, healthcare providers, and other concerned

education recently. Obama has placed $1 billion dollars alone not including the
Health and Human Services Department has awarded another $500 million to expand head start in 40

individuals to help with the early childhood education goal. (Obama announces $1 billion investment,

impact leadership truly has in policing. More specifically, this author is concerned with discovering if
leadership styles have an effect on how effective or ineffective a leader will be within policing.
Throughout the course of this paper, this author will discuss various types of leadership styles,
behavioral traits and how they pertain to leadership, as well as what determines if a leader is effective.
It is the hope of this author that a discovery will be made to clarify the aforementioned scopes in
regards to their impact on leadership within policing.
Part I: Leadership Styles. Looking throughout the course of history, it is very evident that a multitude
of leadership styles have been employed by world leaders. The President of the United States, for
example, is someone who recognizes the strengths of bureaucratic leadership, strategic leadership,
team leadership, charismatic leadership and situational leadership. The type of leadership used by the
President often depends on the situation that is being addressed. On the other end of the spectrum,
there are some

It may be a four year college, a community college or an institution that offers vocational education. Now that you know how I define a college, I would like to explain the prompt and my viewpoint. Stephanie Owen and Isabel Sawhill, in their report published in 2013 by the Brookings Institution, mention for certain schools, majors, occupations and individuals, a college may not be a smart investment (page 209), to which I completely disagree. I will use the following paragraphs to substantiate my viewpoint that, college indeed is a smart investment irrespective of the occupations and majors, by citing examples, quotes, and some personal anecdotes. As John Stuart Mill once said and I quote the objective of universities is not to make skillful lawyers, physicians, or engineers, but capable and cultivated human beings . From the discussion in the class, we reached a similar conclusion about how college plays an important role in our lives and enlisted reasons for attending college. The Branch Davidian Compound Raid The Branch Davidian Compound Raid: Waco, TX 1993 On the morning of April 19, 1993, heavily armed FBI and ATF agents moved into the compound puncturing holes in the compound walls so they could pump in tear gas, to flush out the cult members with the least harm. Using loudspeakers, officers told the Branch Davidians no armed assault would be made and to hold their fire. When cult members opened their weapons, the FBI increased the tear gas assault and began firing military grenade launches at the building. At around noon, three fires broke out in different parts of the compound, allegedly set by the Branch Davidians. The fire spread, trapping cult members, while others refused to leave, eventually perishing in the smoke and the blaze (Final 24). In all, only nine people escaped. The remaining 76 cult members, including 17 children, were buried alive by rubble, suffocated by the effects of the fire, or shot/stabbed. Although many people followed this 51 day siege, if someone was to look at the news and see this giant compound on fire with children burning they might wonder, how did this happen? • 14. Endothtermic And Exothermic Reaction Lab Report Introduction: Chemical reactions make new things by rearranging other things. In a chemical reaction, the main change that occurs relates to the way atoms are bonded to each other, in order to change those connections, bonds must be broken and new bonds be formed. It s important to understand that it takes energy to break bonds and that energy is released when bonds are formed. Chemical reactions that release energy are called exothermic reactions, these reactions are observed by an increase in temperature of the reaction mixture. Chemical reactions that absorb energy are called endothermic reactions, these reactions are observed by a decrease in temperature of the reaction mixture. Endothermic and Exothermic reactions release or absorb energy, the graph above shows the way in which the chemical energy changes. In this experiment, we investigate the change in temperature caused by adding a chemical substance into the water and dissolving it. The results recorded in the table below show that our hypothesis is correct. Aim: To investigate temperature changes that occur as a result of exothermic and endothermic reactions. Hypothesis: It s predicted that when adding the chemical substance into the water, energy will be released or absorbed, this will be observed by a temperature change, therefore, there would be an exothermic or endothermic reaction. It is thought that although prisons have been around since the thirteenth century, prisons as we know them now to be have only been around for the last three centuries. The first uses of prisons were not seen as a form of punishment instead they were used as a way of making people do something. People would be held in prison until they paid their debts, or awaiting trial and then leading up to their sentence. At the beginning, Bella is unwrapping a present while at the house of her boyfriend (who just so happens to be a vampire). Then a little hope comes through because he s finally getting her happy once again. While she s still in love with Edward, things are better when Jacob is around. A bit of time passes, and then the book gets suspenseful and tense because Bella nearly kills herself by cliff jumping. Edward thinks that she is actually dead, so he is going to attempt to kill himself, and Bella has to try to rescue him. My favorite quote from the book is said by Bella a few months after Edward has left. She feels that her life has basically ended, and she s spent the past few months in a zombie like state. The quote is, Time passes. Even when it seems impossible. Even when each tick of the second hand aches like the pulse behind a bruise. It passes unevenly, in strange lurches and dragging lulls, but pass it does. Even for me. Another quote that gets me every time I think about it is said by Edward after him and Bella are reunited at the end. It is, Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. • 37. Advantages Of The French Presidential System France 1. After reading about Britain s parliamentary system, as well having a familiarity with the United States presidential system, the French semi presidential system is more effective than the United State s system, and I would prefer this system. The semi presidential system is a bit more complicated than every other system I have learned about. The French system uses a mixture of the premier as well as the president. Under the president is the cabinet and ministries. The president serves as a guide for the nations versus a supreme leader (Roskin 87 8). I would prefer this system to the United States system. This is because of the advantages of the semi presidential system. Some of the advantages include the fact that the president and the parliament do not serve the same amount of time on their terms. If there are people serving on each side who are not serving to the best of their ability, they can be taken out of power. It would not be at the same time, which is an advantage because the ideas of the new person serving could work with the ideas of the person serving along with them. This way, a whole fresh set of new ideas does not come in at one time. The president currently can serve two consecutive five year terms, while the prime minister has no outlined term limits. For the prime minister to stay in power they must maintain the support of the National Assembly. (Roskin 80 82). There are new ideas flowing in either every five years or every ten. This is just one advantage to this system. Another advantage to the semi presidential system is the multitude of ideas that are able to come through. There are so many people who are able to contribute to the semi presidential system, that every voter s idea should be represented. On the other hand, a disadvantage to the semi presidential system is the fact that there are multiple representatives. The multitude of representatives can have too many ideas, and it can be hard to get things accomplished when all of their ideas are pinned against each other.
