GPA Class Rank
Should one bad test day that somebody had years ago determine their entire future? Test scores, GPA,
and class rank matter more than ever before, and have a massive impact on our chances of getting into
the school or job that is desired. These numbers should not define people for a multitude of reasons.
The standardized tests that are required of all students is not an accurate reflection on that student s
ability to succeed in an actual working environment, hazardous health effects, and the fact that
students are haunted by a huge pressure defined by their family and society that they must get a
certain class rank or their entire future is out the window. New tests should be implemented that give
an accurate reflection of student s abilities ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through the years of school students go through many teachers which are all very different in their
teaching methods and how they grade. Some teachers offer a lot of opportunities to significantly boost
a student s grade while others are very strict about how they grade, for example, Student A is the exact
same as Student B, but one of them has a significantly higher GPA because they won the teacher
lottery. Until last year a lot of the computer in Plano ISD were probably older than the students using
them, this brings up another major inequality. America is a very diverse country in many ways, one of
these is income inequality. Many poorer communities around the country are severely under equipped
in terms of courses available, technology used by students, and student to teacher ratio. Students that
grow up in these communities are already at a massive disadvantage when it comes to educational
opportunities and keeping this same system in place will only hold back these students that had the
misfortune of attending and underfunded

Knowledge Management Within An Organization
Knowledge management within an organization is affected by the political practices, the methods of
resolving conflict, and the assignment of responsibility for outcomes. Buchanan (2008) stated in
relation to a study, Political tactics mentioned most frequently were blaming others, selective
information, creating a favorable image, developing support, ingratiation, creating obligations,
rewards, coercion and threats, associating with influential individuals, and forming powerful
coalitions (p. 52). Consequently, within the challenges of an organization Hislop (2013) explained that
there is a relationship between authority and information which contribute to divergence and politics.
In our school organization there is consistent conflict between central office, school leaders, and
faculty members in regards to political processes, the resolving process of issues, and accountability
practices. The core issue of our school s challenges in regards to how the mentioned factors is the
management of information by school leaders as directives are sent from central office school district
officials that in some manner affect teacher s ability to perform in the classroom. Our school is known
to voluntarily be assigned by central office executives to participate in testing state initiatives without
considering teacher input and the amount of content that teacher s must cover according to their
assigned curriculum timeline. The directives sent by central office seem to have not

Worship God Reflection
I stared out at the sunset from my post of land in the woods. The bleeding of reds, oranges, and pinks
together perfectly reflected onto the shimmering lake. My stomach ached, but the taste of beauty made
the pain somewhat bearable. This past summer, I went on a La Vida trip, where I was required to do a
solo experience, where I was denied food and social interactions for two days. Fasting was proven to
be difficult, but it was through that experience that I began to understand the concept of giving all
yourself in worship to God. Most of my life I was only familiar with worshiping God with my time,
resources, or through song. In denying myself food, I was shown how to worship God through fasting.
From the lessons I learned at La Vida, my goals for the next four years are to do what Jesus said in
Luke 10:27: to love the Lord (my) God with all (my) heart and with all (my) soul and with all (my)
strength. Over these four years, I plan to worship God through every aspect of my life, including but
not limited to in my academic and musical pursuits. Through my academics, I hope to be diligent in
my pursuit of knowledge, to grow in my character, and to worship God. In the Liberal Arts for the
Christian Life, Jeffrey C. Davis emphasized that education can be a means of worshiping the Lord. In
all my pursuits of knowledge, I should study as if I m working for the Lord, not for human masters
(Col. 3:23). Then, through this discipline and training of faithfulness, I can be

Closing The Gap In Your Teeth Essay
Why Veneers Are A Good Option For Closing The Gap In Your Front Teeth
If you have a gap between your front teeth, you might be embarrassed to show your smile. There is
nothing wrong with having a gap in your teeth as long as it s natural and not caused by gum disease. It
doesn t need to be fixed unless it makes you feel self conscious. To close the gap, your dentist will
either move your teeth closer together with braces or cover it up with a crown or veneers. Veneers may
be your best option. Here s why.
Braces Take A Long Time To Work
It takes braces several months to readjust the position of your teeth. If you don t mind waiting that
long, then braces might be a good choice for you because you ll be able to save the enamel on your
teeth that way. However, braces aren t always practical for adults, even the invisible variety, especially
if you have an occupation where your looks are very important. Plus, braces are expensive. While they
work, there is a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The veneers can be made any size, shape, and color needed to correct the appearance of your smile. In
the case of a gap, your dentist applies a veneer on the tooth on each side of the gap. The veneers are a
little wider than your natural teeth, so when they are in place the gap disappears. It only takes a couple
of weeks to go through the process of getting this dental procedure.
First, your dentist makes an impression of your teeth so a dental lab can make the shells to fit in your
mouth precisely. It will take a couple of weeks to get your custom veneers back from the lab so your
dentist can apply them. To get the veneers to fit properly in your mouth, your dentist needs to shave
off a very thin layer of tooth enamel. Then the veneers are bonded into place with dental cement. The
process works much quicker than braces, which is important if you decide you want the cosmetic
work done in time for a wedding or big job

High School Transcript
Should transcripts reflect a student? Stereotypes, unfair justifications, what is college really about?
Colleges now, base their students approval through a sheet of paper with grades! If you were to ask
any college or any student, they would tell you that students are admitted into certain colleges based
on their high school transcript. A transcript reflects a student s grades, but it does not reflect his
thoughts, ideas, or how intelligent he really is. A lot of people may disagree that a transcript doesn t
describe the student. They think that if a student works hard, he should get what he deserves. If they
take an advanced placement course, then the student should be able to show it off on their high school
transcript. As well as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Maybe the student was forced to take the Advanced Placement class, while the other student had the
choice to take the course. There may also be students in their Advanced Placement class that were
struggling and couldn t pass the class on their own, so they decided to use another students work.
Should cheaters still be allowed into a better college because they ended up with another students
grade? Or should the student that worked for all his grades in every single class and took time out of
everyday to dedicate to school be admitted? I myself have had a personal experience with AP classes
and question if they truly mean that you re at a higher level than other students. In high school, I had
an AP Social Studies class, and one of my friends had the normal Social Studies class. Everyday after
class I would ask him Hey, what did you guys do in Social Studies today? Every single time his
answer would match the learning activities that we had done in class that same day. If we re doing the
same activities in class, then should it be considered Advanced Placement? High schools just want to
make your transcript to look amazing, and all colleges want are students with great grades, and higher
level classes, that have never made a mistake in their high school career, instead of really getting to

What Caused The Russian Revolution 1917
A revolution is a forcible overthrow of a government or social order in favor of a new system. There
have been many revolutions that occurred throughout history. The major changes a revolution can
make is the culture, economy, and politicians. Usually a response to overwhelming autocracy or
plutocracy. One of the most famous revolutions in history was the Russian revolution.
The Russian revolution in 1905 was said to be a major factor contributing to the cause of both the
February and October revolution in 1917. In January 1905, Bloody Sunday created protest nationwide
and soldier mutinies. While in the chaos the St. Petersburg Soviet was formed. Then the revolution of
1905 was crushed and the St.Petersburg Soviet council of workers were arrested. All of this laid out
the groundwork for the Petrograd Soviet and other revolutionary movements up to 1917.
In 1917 there were two revolutions in Russia which led to the dismantle Tsarist autocracy and rise of
the soviet union. On March 1917 the February revolution took place in Russia on Petrograd which is
now St. Petersburg, the capital of Russia at the time. During the chaos, the Imperial Parliament
members assumed control of the country and formed the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

In the poem Sonnet. Written in Disgust of Vulgar Superstition by John Keats, the English writer
discusses the role Christianity and all other organized religions have in society. Keats particularly
notifies the irregularities officials apart of the church conduct themselves. Attacking them for their
behavior. Later Sherwood Anderson, an American writer, takes up the mantle Keats originally
discussed and takes it a step further exploring the human condition within a church official named
Reverend Curtis Hartman, in The Strength of God within the novel Winesburg, Ohio. Anderson choses
to describe church officials behavior, by focusing to tell the story of one individual instead of

Keats composes in his poem, ...and I should feel a damp a chill as from a tomb (Poertryworld). The
speaker makes his opinion obvious to the reader about his dislike for religion and finds it a vault for
where his beliefs would go to die. In other lines such as, The church bells toll a melancholy round and
In some black spell; seeing that each one tears, Himself from fireside joys (poetryworld). In those

In the sonnet Written in Disgust of Vulgar Superstition by Keats, he attacks the church for how they
conduct themselves and behave. As a romantic he refuses to believe in the existence of an all mighty
god since, it interferes with the individuals mind. According, to C.U. Holman he defines romantism as

Christian Bible Research Paper
The Christian Bible is a collection of books that provides faith, hope, and guidelines that the Christian
faith has used for decades. Many people use the Bible as a tool for everyday live, and in hopes of gain
eternal life after death. The Christian Bible gives an account of Jesus life while he was on earth. For
decades, people have questioned the veracity of the Christian Bible for many reasons. I would like to
talk about one the reason people question whether or not the Christian Bible is just a novel or if it is a
true account of the life of Jesus. In the Bible, The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke are called the
Synoptic Gospel, because they give a panorama or overview (synopsis) of the life of Jesus, all telling
the same story but from rather distinctive perspectives. (Puchner ,1151). ... Show more content on

I believe these stories are written from a distinctive perspective because Matthew, Mark, and Luke
were talking to three different types of people. I believe that in their willingness to spread the Gospel
of Christ, they had to tell the story of Christ in a way that the people they were trying to reach would
understand the message of Christ.
The book of Matthew, the author is believed to be one of the 12 disciples Matthew. Matthew is
speaking the Jewish people. At that time, the Jewish people did not have a clear understanding of the
Messiah. Matthew mission was to teach the Jewish church the background and a clear understanding
of the Messiah. The book of Matthew begins with the birth and early years of Jesus until Jesus
resurrection. He also explained that the Messiah life and ministry here on earth was the fulfillment of

The Downfall Of Macbeth In William Shakespeare s Play
Stars hide your fires; Let not light see my black and deep desires. (Act 1 Scene 4 Line 50 51) Macbeth
s ambition and greed towards total power led to his spiraling downfall in the play, The Tragedy of
Macbeth. Although once a great and respected hero, Macbeth let his thoughts overpower his
conscience to make the right choices for his sake and others. His actions led to the deaths of innocent
people.
Macbeth was a Great War hero that had defeated Macdonwald s rebellious army during the battle that

The fate of Macbeth is in the hands of the twisted sisters when they show him three apparitions, all
foreshadowing events to come. Beware the thane of Fife. The power of man; for none of woman born
shall harm Macbeth. Macbeth shall never vanquished be until Great Birnam wood to high Dunsinane
hill shall come against him. (Act 4 Scene 1 Lines 72, 80 81, 92 94) Macbeth s judgment is impaired
because little does he know, the tragic hero doesn t know the small twists the weird sisters play on all
of their spells.
With Macbeth s dignity so high, he shows all of the signs of the perfect tragic hero. He starts out with
a courageous, high titled spirit, and slowly turns into a heartless individual seeking total control. With
the help of the twisted sisters and Lady Macbeth getting in his head, he pays the price for his ruthless
actions.

All About My Brother Essay
If there is something that cannot be disputed by any single individual is the prevalence of disabilities

The Development of Fast Food
The development of fast food was revolutionary; however, this revolution was corrupted by big
business and the desire to maximize profit. With fast food as a staple for society, due to its
convenience, the consumer fails to realize what is inside the burger they are eating. The customers are
eating foods which are filled with additives such as cellulose and L cysteine. Additives are good for
the bottom line, but bad for the well being of the consumer. Cost effective additives may be justifiable
from a businessman s perspective, but what about the consumer? Cellulose, better known as wood
pulp, doesn t come to mind as millions of uninformed customers chow down on their McNuggets.
This additive is not simply pieces of tree bark cleverly hidden within fast food. Instead, it is a paste or
powder (FoodBabe). Wood pulp is added to fast foods because of its caloric value of zero. With the
absence of calories, food containing cellulose provides no nutritional value besides giving consumers
that satisfying, full feeling. According to the FDA, cellulose consumption by humans, regardless of
the amount, has no effect other than providing dietary bulk, reducing nutritive value of such food
stuffs and possibly exerting a laxative effect (FDA). Many abusers of this filler include McDonalds,
Taco Bell, Jack in the Box, Wendy s, Arby s, and Sonic. In this caloric conscious world, is it really the
company s fault for filling products with additives which have little caloric value, or

Hideyoshi was known to be a daimyō, warrior, general, samurai, and politician of the Sengoku period,
and was especially known to have started a new age of in Japanese culture. Hideyoshi was a highlight
of the Japanese feudal era which made choosing an influential person a worthwhile task. I have

Hideyoshi was believed to born in 1536 in a time of competing daimyo, Japanese samurai lords,

Starting from humble beginnings, Hideyoshi was born into a life of peasantry under the supervision of

The Annual Women And Fair Trade Festival Essay
On a crisp morning this past fall, cooperatives from around the world set up shop in an Austin, Texas,
church for the annual Women and Fair Trade Festival. While most of the vendors were veterans of
collective organizing, one group of single immigrant mothers used the festival to debut their food
cooperative, Cooperativa Posada.
Three Mexican women Silvia, Elideth, and Erika and a Guatemalan woman named Hilda spent a near
sleepless night preparing dozens of their distinct regional varieties of tamales, some wrapped in corn
husks and others in moist banana leaves. Nebat, the lone Ethiopian member of the cooperative,
prepared some luscious, dark, traditional Ethiopian coffee by roasting the beans on a metal plate over
an open flame, then grinding them by hand.
The products of their labor were not only nourishment for the festival attendees (who lined up for a
taste), but also an attempt to raise the awareness and donations needed for their cooperative to
succeed. On a broader level, the tamales and coffee represented the mothers efforts to create an
opportunity for self sufficiency, to foster collective economic empowerment, and to forge a path
forward for themselves and their families.
All the Cooperativa Posada members currently live or have lived at Posada Esperanza in Austin, a
shelter for homeless immigrant mothers and their children. The shelter houses 16 families, most of
whom are undocumented immigrants or asylum seekers from Latin America and Africa who have fled

What Is The Role Of Jazz In The 1920 s
The south side of Chicago played a large role in the development of Jazz in the 1910 s and 1920 s. The
more exact timeframe for jazz was through 1918 to 1926, as stated by Alain Locke. A large part of this
is due to African American entrepreneurs, who are often not acknowledged for their contributions to
Jazz. This is thanks to their cabarets and dance halls that allowed jazz artists perform. There were also
a few aspects that attempted to hinder the development of jazz during this time. Through the aspects
that hinder jazz, and the aspects that support it, jazz was an important community in Chicago s south
side. The influence for black and tan cabarets came from Jack Johnson who owned Café de Champion.
He hired The Elite Dance Band and even played in the band of his café. Though he was run from the
city because of racial retaliation; the Jazz institutions still lived on, this time through Bill Bottoms, a
business partner, and his Chicago s Dreamland Café. He was not the only one that followed after
Johnson; the jazz clubs and cabarets grew slowly after Johnson left. Shortly after opening his café,
Bottoms lending financial aid to Vigil Williams to opened Royal Gardens dance hall, who worked

dance halls. This, however, did not last forever. There was a short reliving of jazz when Jack Johnson
returned to Chicago and Bottoms reopened Dreamland for the afternoon for Johnson and some friends.
Two weeks later Dreamland was reopened for its previous hours. This was only a small relief because
control over the other cabarets and dance halls were lost. The mob eventually took over the jazz

The Future Electric Cars Are Becoming More Popular

With the advancing future electric cars are becoming more popular. Electric cars are said to be
pollution free and one hundred percent environmental friendly. These cars are not the solution to
reduce air pollution and global warming in the near future. Electric cars create large amounts of
pollution indirectly. This is from the coal fired power plants used to generate the electricity and the
lithium mine sites, which is where the mineral lithium that is used to produce the car s batteries comes
from. These situations cause just as much pollution because they burn some source of fossil fuel to
create the energy and extract the minerals.

This power is generally collected from coal fired power plants. Each one of these power plants are
responsible for three and a half million tons of Co2 per year. The United States alone produces nearly
ten billion tons of CO2 from coal fired power plants. This is nearly one third of the 38.2 billion tons of
Co2 produced by all sources. These cars are also limited on their range. A typical electric car can only
travel around one hundred twenty five miles miles before being recharged. The disadvantage of
electric cars is that they usually can travel no more than 100 miles. (Haverdink). Therefore using more
electricity, causing the power plants to make more. Another disadvantage of electric cars is the time
they take to charge. For example, The major disadvantage of battery powered cars as we mentioned in
the last section is the time required to recharge the batteries. (Lampton). Rather than a gasoline car
that you just fill up you have to plug these cars in. This typically takes up to eight hours, putting the
electric car behind on long distance road trips. The electric car s also need a special outlet to plug into,
not found in typical homes. This cost extra money to have installed and if you need to charge
somewhere it is hard to find. Also the electricity used to charge the cars isn t free.

Their supposed solution is to create and use seeds immune to stronger chemicals such as 2, 4 D and
Dicamba.(Bomgardner) This solution will only make the issue worse; substituting in these deadlier
chemicals is only a short term solution as scientists predict weeds will quickly adapt to them, and 2, 4
D and Dicamba are extremely hazardous to humans. According to an article that is supporting this
solution, dicamba is considered only mildly toxic to people, pollinators, wildlife, and aquatic
organisms. (Par. 6, Barth) As in, the less poisonous solution is only mildly deadly to people, animals,
and plants. It is unacceptable that farmers will be using toxic chemicals on our food while breeding
even stronger, more resilient weeds to kill American crops. The underlying cause of superweeds is the
genetic engineering of crops. When the biotechnic company Monsanto introduced GR seeds to
American farmers they started a whirlwind of events. As Bomgardner explains, Farmers liked
glyphosate because it vastly simplified weed control. (Par. 3) Farmers like using GR seeds because
they let entire fields of crops be sprayed with weed killer. This is a simple and easy way to control
weeds, but it led to the creation of superweeds. Superweeds persist because farmers have no other way
to control weeds other than using GR seeds and spraying their fields with glyphosate. There are other
ways to kill weeds, such as manually ripping

Analysis of Themes the Tenets of Romanticism Within Poetry
Analysis of Themes the Tenets of Romanticism within Poetry
The romantic period in literature started in roughly the 1790s and ended around the 1830s. This was a
period when people s imagination and love for nature flourished, prospered and then sky rocketed.
When comparing the two poems The Ropewalk and Because I Could Not Stop for Death for theme
and tenets of romanticism, it is evident that both poets exemplify the power of imagination and the
weight of nature through poetic devices. While one poet expresses the individual self the other
contradicts with a more social mindset. These comparisons help reveal that the poets purposes are to
notice the influence of imagination and to also relish nature.
One of the major themes of both ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, notice how And Immortality. is it s own separate line and sentence. This is key because it puts an
abundant amount of emphasis on the word immortality, which is the perfect use of diction; it is
referring to how people will live on forever and how people s imagination will live on forever. These
two quotes of Long fellow and Dickenson also share the same theme of imagination. They both say
that through diction, imagination can inspire us to strive and that we have an infinite and vast
imagination that should not be forgotten.
Although theme is a vital aspect in the poetry of this time period, another equally important aspect is
the expression of the tenets of romanticism. One of the tenets of romanticism has two perspectives.
From one perspective the poet writes about what is within himself; from the other perspective the poet
writes about an external experience dealing with more than one person. As we analyze The Ropewalk,
we can see how Longfellow has a more inner perspective, Dull and drowsy, makes me feel/ All its
spokes are in my brain. (Longfellow 11 12) Longfellow uses the rhetorical device of diction to help
describe a tenet. The poet could have made his poem more general by saying people feel or the brain
but instead he chooses to say, me feel and my brain . Because the poet used this type of diction he
helped define the romantic idea of a more personal and inner self. While this device within this quote
is hidden, the romantic

Theme Of Sonrisas By Pat Mora
Sonrisas , by Pat Mora, is a delicately written poem that offers a necessary perception of the two lives
that almost every adult will live between. True to its postmodern roots, Sonrisas is a poem that simply
seeks to describe and contrast the dull, formal, and sometimes lifeless experience of the working
world with the more exciting, colorful, and warm home experience. This essay will explore the
multiple ways in which Mora uses symbols, structure, juxtaposition, sensory images, and other
figurative devices to describe the experience and atmosphere of the work environment and home
environment and in so doing develop a contrast between the two, as seen from the perspective of a
Mexican. Symbolism and structure are both central to understanding ... Show more content on

Through expert use of diction, sensory images, and tautology Mora establishes a vivid depiction of the
formal and bland atmosphere of the corporate environment, and the warm, noisy, and exciting home
experience. Then through a unique poetic structure, Mora juxtaposes her description of the two worlds
both physically on the page and figuratively in the reader s mind, emphasizing the differences between
the workplace and the speaker s home. Mora elegantly uses symbols two represent her focus points
and then through symmetry of structure and information enhances the distinction between the world of
work and world of home. Sonrisas , though told from the perspective of a Mexican, clearly depicts and
smoothly contrasts a reality that almost everyone can relate to. The poem needs no deeper meaning, or

The Impact Of D-Day Landings In Normandy
How did the D Day Landings in Normandy in 1944 turn the tide against Germany during World War
2?
D Day was the landing of three different forces landed onto 5 beaches. The landings in Normand y
were taken place during the World War 2. The three different forces or allies to land on the beaches
were United States of America and Canada. These three allied countries were set to remove Hitler
from military propaganda areas of continental Europe.
Which would result in menacing risks of invasion. The Normandy invasion plan started in France
which by where Britain could be close to the France incase of any problems. During this invasion it
involved a battle which was called the Battle of Normandy.
Which started June 6 1944 to August 1944. The three allies took their time planning and rehearsing

It was very effective on all sides Germany was getting attacked. It showed that by having more than
two countries attacking another country would resolve the issue or a situation. The short term
consequences would be loss of population for all 4 countries . Loss of people in Germany that didn t
like what they were doing. The long term consequences for Germany was loss of morale, loss
territory, loss of trust from own people. The three allies gained respect, morale and interest from all
over the world.
My view towards the three allies is high respect and land of the brave for all three. Germany was not
wrong for what they did. It is ones instinct to want to rule or conquer. The landing in Normandy taught
me that a group of countries are weaker than a single country by itself unless the group of countries
are perfectly taught skills to fight as a single country . War does tell us one thing : War is only a

Analysis Of Don Quixote
Don Quixote
By Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra
Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra is the tale of a Christian knight, don Quixote, and his
trustworthy squire, Sancho Panza, and their quests around Spain. Thus, I travel about this wilderness
and these unpopulated areas seeking adventures, and I m committed to offering my arm and my
person in any perilous adventure that comes my way to help the weak and needy. (p. 97 98) Our story
takes place in the seventeenth century in La Mancha, south central Spain.
Miguel de Cervantes takes us on this epic adventure firstly by introducing don Quixote and some of
his deeds, and later on Sancho Panza, and the incredible undertakings they faced for the sake of knight
errantry. Our main character, don Quixote, was an hidalgo of about fifty years old with a lanky figure
and a passion for romances of chivalry, which he believed to be true. His muse was Dulcinea del
Toboso.
Don Quixote decided to go out with his horse, Rocinante, to redress all the wrongs and help those in
need as the knights errant in those stories he cherished. He first went to an inn, where the innkeeper
dubbed him a knight. Don Quixote was found hurt by a man of his village and taken back. Don
Quixote s niece, the priest, and the barber of his village blamed those books for his craziness so they
burned them.
Don Quixote decided to start a second expedition now with the company of his neighbor Sancho
Panza as his squire, and promising Sancho that he would become the governor of an insula. Sancho
was by nature a coward and quite fainthearted, he was illiterate but a ludicrous character. Their first
adventure together was the encounter with the windmills which don Quixote thought were giants,
suffice it to say he ended beaten on the ground.
Don Quixote now called himself the Woebegone Knight and Sancho was reprimanded because of his
absurd linking of proverbs. After many travails, they arrived to Sierra Morena where don Quixote

The Similarities of Lady Macbeth and Janis Ian
Lady Macbeth and Mean Girls... what is similar? Are these two related in any way? Do the two have
anything in common at all? Lady Macbeth is an important character in Shakespeare s play Macbeth.
Then, there is Tina Fey s Mean Girls a movie based on high school drama. How could a
Shakespearean play from 1606 resemble a group of crazy high schoolers from 2004?
Macbeth was a play written in 1606 by William Shakespeare. It was performed for King James around
this time. The play was fabricated from historic content, making it a tragedy rather than a history.
Macbeth is about real people and is Shakespeare s shortest play. Macbeth represents guilt, desire, ...

s friend and continues to do these tricks on her. She costs Regina her boyfriend, her perfect body and
much more. When called out on it, Cady will not take the blame (initially, at least).
Obviously, reading about both of these, you can already tell the similarities already. The characters as
well as the plot of these two stories have many similarities. They are powerful, controlling and even
manipulative. Regina makes everyone cater to her every need and want, this is what Lady Macbeth
wants. Janis wants to practically kill someone, and Lady Macbeth does. Janis doesn t want to be the
one who is caught doing the bad things, neither does Lady Macbeth. Remember, Janis wanted to ruin
Regina s life? Janis didn t think she was capable enough to do this. Therefore, she got Cady to do it for
her. She put everything on Cady and took none of the blame. It kinda sounds familiar to the murder of
Duncan, doesn t it? Lady Macbeth practically did the same thing. She wanted Duncan to die and she
wanted to kill him. She did not want the blame so she was going to put it on Duncan s guards. When
the time came to do the deed, she couldn t handle it. She was in the same situation as Janis. Lady
Macbeth couldn t do it... so Macbeth did. Just like in Mean Girls, the real culprit did not take the

Car Warranties
Car Warranties Manufacturer or Factory Warranties Manufacturer or factory warranties help maintain
the new car and are included in the purchase price. But, the customer must carefully read the fine
print. Understanding what the warranty covers is crucial. A warranty or service contract is a promise
to perform or pay for the listed repairs or services. Car dealers have various categories and types of
warranties and the names or titles are not the same from one dealer or manufacturer to another. But,
for the most part, there are two major types of manufacturer warranties. There is the bumper to
bumper warranty. Unfortunately, this warranty is not nearly as comprehensive as the name suggests.
Various components that deteriorate, because of wear and tear like brake pads and tires, are excluded.
In addition, labor costs are excluded. Another major type of warranty is the Powertrain warranty. This
warranty lasts longer than a bumper to bumper warranty but the coverage is usually limited to an even
shorter list of items. The list normally includes the various components of a car s engine and

Canadian Retail Hardware and Home Improvement Industry Analysis This industry, although more
attractive than the lumber industry, has its own inherent flaws . The Canadian retail hardware and
home improvement industry can be characterized by high degree of rivalry, mainly due to a large
number of players competing over products of low differentiation and incurring high fixed costs.
Furthermore, due to low switching costs, high information, and price sensitivity, buyers are not loyal
and have high bargaining power relative to retailers. Additionally, the medium threat and power of
large new entrants and suppliers adds to the industry s unattractiveness.
Company Overview Dawson was founded in the 1870 s and has remained a private business since
inception. Located in Ontario, Canada, its operations have been focused on three regions: Ottawa,
primarily an urban market, Cornwall, a rural market, and Kingston, partially a resort and partially an
urban market. During the last 3 years Dawson s net sales have increased considerably (21% in 1997;
and 38% in 1998) putting great pressure on the way the company finances its working capital ( WK ).
This situation is intensified by seasonal sales, typical of the construction industry. In September of

and the Middle East are different linguistically, religiously, and historically. Was there any actual basis
for President Obama s comparison? Or was this speech another instance of a politician making a grand

Eventually, the workers themselves began to organize and publicly demand rights. The last group in
Polish society who was responsible for achieving success in the Solidarity movement was the
religious sector. The religious support that the Solidarity movement possessed cannot be overlooked.
On the protestor s side, it s easy to fight for your rights when you know that God supports you. On the
other hand, it s difficult for the government to fight against a religious institution that has such
powerful influence over the people. Pope John Paul II, originally a Polish citizen named Karol
Wojtyla, played a key role in not only broadcasting the Solidarity movement to the world, but also by
giving the Solidarity movement a pseudo divine right to exist . In 1978, Karol Wojtyla was elected to
be the first non Italian pope since the 1500s . Thus began the attention that he drew not only from the
international Catholic community, but the international community in general. Furthermore, in his
visit to Poland, he affirmed the Polish people s right to organize themselves, and to protest against
their mistreatment. In 1979, the year before Solidarity was officially formed, Pope John Paul II visited
his home country once again and gave speeches concerning civil rights in Poland. The International
Center on Nonviolent Conflict states, During a pilgrimage that was broadcast on state TV and radio,
the Pope spoke openly about human rights and the right to freedom of expression and conscience .
CNN confirms this statement and adds to it, stating that the Pope s support was financial, as well. In
discussing the fall of communism in Poland, it claims, It took time; it took the Pope s support from

For this report, I will mainly use information from websites, as it will give me information about anti
bribery policies. I will also use a website called Harvard reference to give the reader an easier
understanding on what I will be reporting on. I will use BBC website as well to know the recent
bribery act that has lately happened to an organisation and what anti bribery does to other
organisation.
2.0 Introduction
The purpose of this report is to know more about, the meaning of anti bribery and what the policy
intends to achieve on an organisation that I have chosen. By doing research on recently published
journal articles, newspapers and internet sites on the topic about anti bribery, this report will describes,
what the policies intends to do and the employees that will be affected with the policies. Anti bribery
helps the operations of one organisation to detect or prevent the corruption inside one organisation.
3.0 How to prevent bribery?
The most effective way to prevent bribery is to have an anti corruption program, this is important to a
big organisation. This will enforce some of the actions and will change the penalties to bribery to an
organisation.
Year 2011 UK Bribery Act of 2010 leads many organisations to re evaluate their anti corruption
program, even do companies that have general policies and procedures to comply with the UK Bribery
Act [Kenneth Clarke. (2011)]. This Act not only covers bribery of UK government officials but it also

Descriptive Essay On Hippies
Hippies
When I think about the mountains my mind automatically goes to hippies. So I thought visiting Pigeon
Forge and Gatlinburg was fitting for this essay. During my time in Tennessee, I attended a car show
and I saw many Hippie vans and old style classic Volkswagen beetles. We walked the strip in
Gatlinburg and I came in close contact with many people who I thought were pretty close to Hippies.
The strip had tons of restaurants on each side and stores were filled with so many different people. But
mostly everyone was in touch with their hippie side or nature side. Many men had long untamed
beards while the women had super long hair and they all seemed to dress free . There was a
moonshine tasting store and right in front of it had a stage and three guys (very in touch with the
natural look) with long beards and they were playing banjos and guitars.
They were very much in touch with their hippie side . There was one certain store that stood out to me
because it had so many crazy colors and peace signs everywhere. It also had 420 written everywhere
and Bob Marley blankets displayed along with hoodies which I m sure you understand what they were
referring to. At the car show, I also observed the people around the cars. Many men like I had seen
before in Gatlinburg sported the long straggly beards. Pigeon Forge had a lot of RV campgrounds and
tons of gorgeous cabins you can rent out and stay in. Much like I said in my outline, Hippies love to
hang out in social events and I m sure there were many more hippie like groups/people in Tennessee I
just didn t get the chance to see them. I noticed there was a lot of older women at the car show dressed
what you would put in the same category of a hippie. I also associate drinking (not much like the
alcohol we have today) with hippies. Almost every of age person was drinking or already drunk. Since
marijuana is illegal in Tennessee so I didn t see anyone out in public smoking marijuana. Hippies are
known as the free spirited group and they love to congregate together to create peace instead of
violence. During my time in Tennessee I heard a lot of music, it overpowered everything. Guitars and
banjos being played, to just a song

Essay On Should Student Athletes Be Paid
Student Athletes Should be Compensated
Life isn t fair, but we all know that. Instead of the athletes sharing in the revenue they create, it s just
the fat cats who benefit. The NCAA has multiple billions of dollars in revenue every year. but the
athletes don t see a pretty penny of that. Lots of people believe that college athletes should not be
compensated monetarily. by the means of money. They think that a scholarship is enough
compensation for the athlete s work. However, But what people do not know is that not all athletes get
scholarships, and not all scholarships include things like food and clothes. So college athletes should
be paid extra money for three reasons: the players put in lots of work, the NCAA makes billions of
dollars every year, and the NCAA acts as an employer. Your topic sentence should reflect the words

That is why they should be compensated; so they could have a little extra spending money for food

the $771 million, which does not include all of the revenue from the schools, and the 460,000 athletes
(ncaa), that would only cost $690 million. That leaves about $80 million left to pay the executives.
Because the NCAA acts as an employer, makes a ton of money, and for all of the time and work the
athletes put in, they should be paid. That s only about $1000 for food and other costs for the semesters
that they are playing a sport. The players are unable to have any other income in those times, so it is
fair if they are compensated for all of their

Positives And Cons Of Neo Liberalism
Neo liberalism has its ruts in 1938 when it was firstly introduced by the German scholar Alexander
Rusto in a conference hold for intellectuals by Luis Rougier, at the time to be neoliberal meant to
encourage a modern economic policy with state intervention.
Although often used as a trend of globalization and studied mostly in economic, neo liberalism is very
complex. The varieties of values, ideologies, and practices of neo liberalism have a significant affect
in the economic, political, and cultural aspects of the society. Martinez and Garcia(2000) define neo
liberalism as:
A set of economic policies that have become widespread during the last 25 years or so. You can
clearly see the effects of neo liberalism here as the rich grow richer and the poor grow poorer. Around
the world, neo liberalism has been imposed by powerful financial institutions like the International
Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank and the Inter American Development Bank. The capitalist
crisis over the last 25 years, with its shrinking profit rates, inspired the corporate elite to revive
economic liberalism. That s what makes it neo or new.
The term neo liberalism it references in the majority of the cases to the policies and processes which
influences the social life ( whereby a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Lab Report On Food Poisoning
INTRODUCTION
In order to identify what food, and ultimately from which restaurant Parry ate the day of his poisoning,
four experiments were carried out. Each experiment tested for the presence of the following four
macromolecules in Parry s vomit:
To detect the presence of glucose, Benedict s reagent was used. The negative control for this reagent
remains blue, and the positive control turns green, yellow, or red, in that order from least to greatest
concentration;
Iodine was used to test for the presence of starch, remaining yellow for its negative control and
becoming a blue black colour if a reaction occurred;
Biuret reagent tested for the presence of protein, which remains light blue with no reaction and
changes to purple as a positive control;
And brown paper was used to detect any lipids found in the sample. After drying, the towel becomes
opaque as a negative control and translucent for the positive control.
The results of these tests aided in the determination of the restaurant most likely to have induced the
poisoning.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the lab was to test Parry s stomach contents using the glucose, starch, protein, and lipid
tests; and with the results, determine which restaurant most likely poisoned him.
APPARATUS
Scoopula
Plastic Pipette
Glass test tube
Spot plate
Brown paper towel
Benedict s reagent
Water bath
Biuret reagent
Iodine
PROCEDURE
Benedict s Reagent Test (Glucose Test)
Using a pipette or scoopula, around five milliliters of the sample are placed

Analysis Of Poem Facing It By Yusef Komunyakaa
War is one of the most controversial topics in today s society. However, because poetry tends to focus
on the experiences of the author, it is quite widespread. Grief, fear, and pain are some of the most
prevalent emotions in literature. In his poem, Facing It, Yusef Komunyakaa tells his experience with
war and how it has affected him. The poem begins with the author experiencing a loss of identity as he
is at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Then, he experiences nostalgia whilst reminiscing his past.
Lastly, he experiences flashbacks that deter his ability to distinguish the past from the present.
Komunyakaa wastes no time in loading his poem with themes. He touches on grief, war, gaining
control, acceptance, and sentimentality. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This sets the tone because it represents the process of grief. However, over time, they feel emotions
from anger to depression, to acceptance, etc. In these stages, emotions and memories catch up to them
forcing them to release their emotions. The author also uses stones as a symbol of strength and
courage. The line, I m stone, translates to I m strong or I m brave. In the line, ...the stone lets me go,
the author uses personification by giving life to the stone. It means that the stone or bravery is no
longer weighing on the author. In other words, the author no longer feels obligated to suppress his
emotions. The line, He s lost his right arm / inside the stone., translates to He s lost his right arm while
being brave, in reference to service in the Vietnam war. Lastly, the author uses methods to produce a
description that paints an image in the reader s mind. The lines, The sky. A plane in the sky. / A white
vet s image floats/ closer to me, then his pale eyes/ look through mine. /, puts the reader in the author s
position.
The poets use of form helped build the theme of the poem. Komunyakaa uses open form, a structure
that follows no guidelines, in the poem. Specifically, he uses free verse this form consists of lines that
have irregular meter, no stanzas, and no rhyme. The author included both stressed and unstressed
syllables, as well as many feet in the lines of the poem. This connects to the theme

Competency Demonstration Report I ( Pcb )
COMPETENCY DEMONSTRATION REPORT I (CDR I)
CE.1.1. Introduction
Many problems had come to surface for electronic manufacturing companies to increase their
productivity. One of the solution is to reduce human errors in a PCB production especially before the
PCB dispatch for electronic productions.
This project was undertaken as one of the requirements to obtain my Engineering Degree at
Universitas Katholik Atmajaya, Jakarta. The details of the project were:
PROJECT : Create and Design a checking device for single layer printed circuit board (PCB)
DURATION : December 2001 April 2002
LOCATION : Jakarta, Indonesia
NAME OF THE ORGANIZATION: Universitas Katholik Atma Jaya, Jakarta
POSITION : Final year student
CE.1.2. Background
CE.1.2.1. Nature of overall engineering project
Manufacturing, including electronics manufacturing, is a major industry in Indonesia. To be
competitive internationally, manufacturers attempt to reduce their manufacturing cost but at the same
time increase product output and quality. Most manufacturing units use human labour to undertake
quality checking, in this case to ensure the path on the printed circuit board (PCB) was not missing
and that there are no scratches. These defects would cause the PCB to be defective, in turn making the
end electronic products defective. Subsequent market recalls would cost the manufacturer a large sum
of money and reputation.
I decided to create a system for reducing human error in electronics

The Story Of Ephesians
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of
edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Ephesians 4:29 We took my dad home from a
three month hospital stay on a cold, snowy winter s morning and made him as comfortable as possible.
There was nothing more the doctors could do so we were determined to make his last days as special
as he was! On a Wednesday evening at around 4:30 pm he called me and asked me this question, Judy,
would you come over and cut my hair? I said, Sure dad, I ll be over tomorrow morning after I get the
boys off to school. He went on, No, I would like you to do it tonight. I thought why tonight of all
nights?? I had to get supper on the table, the boys ready for a Royal Ranger s Program, get new snow
tires on the car and get ready for church. Church started at 7:00 pm... so I only had two and a half
hours to get everything done. Dad, I can t do it tonight, I explained all the things I had going on and
told him I would be there first thing in the morning. However, that still wasn t good enough and once
again he said, I need you to cut my hair tonight. I thought for a moment and then said, Dad, where in
the world are you going that you need your hair cut tonight? Why can t it wait until morning? I heard
the let down in his voice as he said, Okay, we ll see. and we hung up. My dad died during that night.
Those were not the words I would have chosen to say if I had known they were to be my last words to
my dad!! All to often we say things without thinking or at times we say things we really don t mean.
WORDS are such an important and relevant part of our lives, still we often take them for granted and
aren t as careful with them as we should be! I don t know if my dad had a feeling something was up
and he needed his hair cut. I don t know if he knew he was going to die and meet his heavenly father
that night! What I do know is, we need to use our words in such a way that people know: We care
enough about them to encourage them onward in their endeavors. We realize the blessings we have in
our family, friends, acquaintances and all they truly mean to us! And, we need to let those we LOVE...

  • 2. GPA Class Rank Should one bad test day that somebody had years ago determine their entire future? Test scores, GPA, and class rank matter more than ever before, and have a massive impact on our chances of getting into the school or job that is desired. These numbers should not define people for a multitude of reasons. The standardized tests that are required of all students is not an accurate reflection on that student s ability to succeed in an actual working environment, hazardous health effects, and the fact that students are haunted by a huge pressure defined by their family and society that they must get a certain class rank or their entire future is out the window. New tests should be implemented that give an accurate reflection of student s abilities ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Through the years of school students go through many teachers which are all very different in their teaching methods and how they grade. Some teachers offer a lot of opportunities to significantly boost a student s grade while others are very strict about how they grade, for example, Student A is the exact same as Student B, but one of them has a significantly higher GPA because they won the teacher lottery. Until last year a lot of the computer in Plano ISD were probably older than the students using them, this brings up another major inequality. America is a very diverse country in many ways, one of these is income inequality. Many poorer communities around the country are severely under equipped in terms of courses available, technology used by students, and student to teacher ratio. Students that grow up in these communities are already at a massive disadvantage when it comes to educational opportunities and keeping this same system in place will only hold back these students that had the misfortune of attending and underfunded ... Knowledge Management Within An Organization Knowledge management within an organization is affected by the political practices, the methods of resolving conflict, and the assignment of responsibility for outcomes. Buchanan (2008) stated in relation to a study, Political tactics mentioned most frequently were blaming others, selective information, creating a favorable image, developing support, ingratiation, creating obligations, rewards, coercion and threats, associating with influential individuals, and forming powerful coalitions (p. 52). Consequently, within the challenges of an organization Hislop (2013) explained that there is a relationship between authority and information which contribute to divergence and politics. In our school organization there is consistent conflict between central office, school leaders, and faculty members in regards to political processes, the resolving process of issues, and accountability practices. The core issue of our school s challenges in regards to how the mentioned factors is the management of information by school leaders as directives are sent from central office school district officials that in some manner affect teacher s ability to perform in the classroom. Our school is known to voluntarily be assigned by central office executives to participate in testing state initiatives without considering teacher input and the amount of content that teacher s must cover according to their assigned curriculum timeline. • 4. Worship God Reflection I stared out at the sunset from my post of land in the woods. The bleeding of reds, oranges, and pinks together perfectly reflected onto the shimmering lake. My stomach ached, but the taste of beauty made the pain somewhat bearable. This past summer, I went on a La Vida trip, where I was required to do a solo experience, where I was denied food and social interactions for two days. Fasting was proven to be difficult, but it was through that experience that I began to understand the concept of giving all yourself in worship to God. Most of my life I was only familiar with worshiping God with my time, resources, or through song. In denying myself food, I was shown how to worship God through fasting. From the lessons I learned at La Vida, my goals for the next four years are to do what Jesus said in Luke 10:27: to love the Lord (my) God with all (my) heart and with all (my) soul and with all (my) strength. Over these four years, I plan to worship God through every aspect of my life, including but not limited to in my academic and musical pursuits. Through my academics, I hope to be diligent in my pursuit of knowledge, to grow in my character, and to worship God. In the Liberal Arts for the Christian Life, Jeffrey C. Davis emphasized that education can be a means of worshiping the Lord. In all my pursuits of knowledge, I should study as if I m working for the Lord, not for human masters (Col. 3:23). To close the gap, your dentist will either move your teeth closer together with braces or cover it up with a crown or veneers. Veneers may be your best option. Here s why. Braces Take A Long Time To Work It takes braces several months to readjust the position of your teeth. If you don t mind waiting that long, then braces might be a good choice for you because you ll be able to save the enamel on your teeth that way. However, braces aren t always practical for adults, even the invisible variety, especially if you have an occupation where your looks are very important. Plus, braces are expensive. In the case of a gap, your dentist applies a veneer on the tooth on each side of the gap. The veneers are a little wider than your natural teeth, so when they are in place the gap disappears. It only takes a couple of weeks to go through the process of getting this dental procedure. First, your dentist makes an impression of your teeth so a dental lab can make the shells to fit in your mouth precisely. It will take a couple of weeks to get your custom veneers back from the lab so your dentist can apply them. To get the veneers to fit properly in your mouth, your dentist needs to shave off a very thin layer of tooth enamel. Then the veneers are bonded into place with dental cement. The process works much quicker than braces, which is important if you decide you want the cosmetic work done in time for a wedding or big job ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While most of the vendors were veterans of collective organizing, one group of single immigrant mothers used the festival to debut their food cooperative, Cooperativa Posada. Three Mexican women Silvia, Elideth, and Erika and a Guatemalan woman named Hilda spent a near sleepless night preparing dozens of their distinct regional varieties of tamales, some wrapped in corn husks and others in moist banana leaves. The more exact timeframe for jazz was through 1918 to 1926, as stated by Alain Locke. A large part of this is due to African American entrepreneurs, who are often not acknowledged for their contributions to Jazz. Through the aspects that hinder jazz, and the aspects that support it, jazz was an important community in Chicago s south side. Analysis of Themes the Tenets of Romanticism Within Poetry Analysis of Themes the Tenets of Romanticism within Poetry The romantic period in literature started in roughly the 1790s and ended around the 1830s. This was a period when people s imagination and love for nature flourished, prospered and then sky rocketed. When comparing the two poems The Ropewalk and Because I Could Not Stop for Death for theme and tenets of romanticism, it is evident that both poets exemplify the power of imagination and the weight of nature through poetic devices. These two quotes of Long fellow and Dickenson also share the same theme of imagination. They both say that through diction, imagination can inspire us to strive and that we have an infinite and vast imagination that should not be forgotten. Although theme is a vital aspect in the poetry of this time period, another equally important aspect is the expression of the tenets of romanticism. One of the tenets of romanticism has two perspectives. From one perspective the poet writes about what is within himself; from the other perspective the poet writes about an external experience dealing with more than one person. As we analyze The Ropewalk, we can see how Longfellow has a more inner perspective, Dull and drowsy, makes me feel/ All its spokes are in my brain. The poet could have made his poem more general by saying people feel or the brain but instead he chooses to say, me feel and my brain . • 26. Analysis Of Don Quixote Don Quixote By Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra is the tale of a Christian knight, don Quixote, and his trustworthy squire, Sancho Panza, and their quests around Spain. Thus, I travel about this wilderness and these unpopulated areas seeking adventures, and I m committed to offering my arm and my person in any perilous adventure that comes my way to help the weak and needy. (p. 97 98) Our story takes place in the seventeenth century in La Mancha, south central Spain. Miguel de Cervantes takes us on this epic adventure firstly by introducing don Quixote and some of his deeds, and later on Sancho Panza, and the incredible undertakings they faced for the sake of knight errantry. Our main character, don Quixote, was an hidalgo of about fifty years old with a lanky figure and a passion for romances of chivalry, which he believed to be true. His muse was Dulcinea del Toboso. Don Quixote decided to go out with his horse, Rocinante, to redress all the wrongs and help those in need as the knights errant in those stories he cherished. He first went to an inn, where the innkeeper dubbed him a knight. Don Quixote was found hurt by a man of his village and taken back. Don Quixote s niece, the priest, and the barber of his village blamed those books for his craziness so they burned them. Don Quixote decided to start a second expedition now with the company of his neighbor Sancho Panza as his squire, and promising Sancho that he would become the governor of an insula. Sancho was by nature a coward and quite fainthearted, he was illiterate but a ludicrous character. Their first adventure together was the encounter with the windmills which don Quixote thought were giants, suffice it to say he ended beaten on the ground. Don Quixote now called himself the Woebegone Knight and Sancho was reprimanded because of his absurd linking of proverbs. After many travails, they arrived to Sierra Morena where don Quixote ... Are these two related in any way? Do the two have anything in common at all? Lady Macbeth is an important character in Shakespeare s play Macbeth. Then, there is Tina Fey s Mean Girls a movie based on high school drama. How could a Shakespearean play from 1606 resemble a group of crazy high schoolers from 2004? Macbeth was a play written in 1606 by William Shakespeare. It was performed for King James around this time. The play was fabricated from historic content, making it a tragedy rather than a history. Obviously, reading about both of these, you can already tell the similarities already. The characters as well as the plot of these two stories have many similarities. They are powerful, controlling and even manipulative. Regina makes everyone cater to her every need and want, this is what Lady Macbeth wants. Janis wants to practically kill someone, and Lady Macbeth does. Janis doesn t want to be the one who is caught doing the bad things, neither does Lady Macbeth. Remember, Janis wanted to ruin Regina s life? Janis didn t think she was capable enough to do this. Therefore, she got Cady to do it for her. She put everything on Cady and took none of the blame. It kinda sounds familiar to the murder of Duncan, doesn t it? Lady Macbeth practically did the same thing. She wanted Duncan to die and she wanted to kill him. She did not want the blame so she was going to put it on Duncan s guards. When the time came to do the deed, she couldn t handle it. She was in the same situation as Janis. But, the customer must carefully read the fine print. Understanding what the warranty covers is crucial. A warranty or service contract is a promise to perform or pay for the listed repairs or services. Car dealers have various categories and types of warranties and the names or titles are not the same from one dealer or manufacturer to another. But, for the most part, there are two major types of manufacturer warranties. There is the bumper to bumper warranty. Unfortunately, this warranty is not nearly as comprehensive as the name suggests. Various components that deteriorate, because of wear and tear like brake pads and tires, are excluded. In addition, labor costs are excluded. Another major type of warranty is the Powertrain warranty. This warranty lasts longer than a bumper to bumper warranty but the coverage is usually limited to an even shorter list of items. Canadian Retail Hardware and Home Improvement Industry Analysis This industry, although more attractive than the lumber industry, has its own inherent flaws . The Canadian retail hardware and home improvement industry can be characterized by high degree of rivalry, mainly due to a large number of players competing over products of low differentiation and incurring high fixed costs. Furthermore, due to low switching costs, high information, and price sensitivity, buyers are not loyal and have high bargaining power relative to retailers. Additionally, the medium threat and power of large new entrants and suppliers adds to the industry s unattractiveness. The religious support that the Solidarity movement possessed cannot be overlooked. On the protestor s side, it s easy to fight for your rights when you know that God supports you. On the other hand, it s difficult for the government to fight against a religious institution that has such powerful influence over the people. Pope John Paul II, originally a Polish citizen named Karol Wojtyla, played a key role in not only broadcasting the Solidarity movement to the world, but also by giving the Solidarity movement a pseudo divine right to exist . In 1978, Karol Wojtyla was elected to be the first non Italian pope since the 1500s . Thus began the attention that he drew not only from the international Catholic community, but the international community in general. Furthermore, in his visit to Poland, he affirmed the Polish people s right to organize themselves, and to protest against their mistreatment. During my time in Tennessee, I attended a car show and I saw many Hippie vans and old style classic Volkswagen beetles. We walked the strip in Gatlinburg and I came in close contact with many people who I thought were pretty close to Hippies. The strip had tons of restaurants on each side and stores were filled with so many different people. But mostly everyone was in touch with their hippie side or nature side. Many men had long untamed beards while the women had super long hair and they all seemed to dress free . There was a moonshine tasting store and right in front of it had a stage and three guys (very in touch with the natural look) with long beards and they were playing banjos and guitars. They were very much in touch with their hippie side . There was one certain store that stood out to me because it had so many crazy colors and peace signs everywhere. It also had 420 written everywhere and Bob Marley blankets displayed along with hoodies which I m sure you understand what they were referring to. At the car show, I also observed the people around the cars. Many men like I had seen before in Gatlinburg sported the long straggly beards. Pigeon Forge had a lot of RV campgrounds and tons of gorgeous cabins you can rent out and stay in. Much like I said in my outline, Hippies love to hang out in social events and I m sure there were many more hippie like groups/people in Tennessee I just didn t get the chance to see them. I noticed there was a lot of older women at the car show dressed what you would put in the same category of a hippie. I also associate drinking (not much like the alcohol we have today) with hippies. Almost every of age person was drinking or already drunk. Since marijuana is illegal in Tennessee so I didn t see anyone out in public smoking marijuana. Hippies are known as the free spirited group and they love to congregate together to create peace instead of violence. During my time in Tennessee I heard a lot of music, it overpowered everything. The NCAA has multiple billions of dollars in revenue every year. but the athletes don t see a pretty penny of that. Lots of people believe that college athletes should not be compensated monetarily. by the means of money. They think that a scholarship is enough compensation for the athlete s work. However, But what people do not know is that not all athletes get scholarships, and not all scholarships include things like food and clothes. So college athletes should be paid extra money for three reasons: the players put in lots of work, the NCAA makes billions of dollars every year, and the NCAA acts as an employer. So out of the $771 million, which does not include all of the revenue from the schools, and the 460,000 athletes (ncaa), that would only cost $690 million. That leaves about $80 million left to pay the executives. Because the NCAA acts as an employer, makes a ton of money, and for all of the time and work the athletes put in, they should be paid. Each experiment tested for the presence of the following four macromolecules in Parry s vomit: To detect the presence of glucose, Benedict s reagent was used. The negative control for this reagent remains blue, and the positive control turns green, yellow, or red, in that order from least to greatest concentration; Iodine was used to test for the presence of starch, remaining yellow for its negative control and becoming a blue black colour if a reaction occurred; Biuret reagent tested for the presence of protein, which remains light blue with no reaction and changes to purple as a positive control; And brown paper was used to detect any lipids found in the sample.
