How To Write A Psychology Essay
Crafting an essay on the intricacies of writing a psychology essay may initially seem like a
straightforward task, but delving into the nuances of the subject reveals a complexity that
requires careful consideration. First and foremost, understanding the multifaceted nature of
psychology itself is essential. Psychology encompasses various theories, methodologies, and
perspectives, making it a challenge to encapsulate its essence in a single essay.
Navigating through the extensive literature on the subject poses another hurdle. The sheer
volume of research papers, textbooks, and scholarly articles can be overwhelming, making it
difficult to sift through relevant information and determine the most significant points to
include. Additionally, the field of psychology is dynamic, with ongoing developments and
debates that require constant updates to ensure the essay reflects the latest insights.
Moreover, formulating a well-structured and coherent argument demands a keen awareness of
the essay's purpose and audience. Balancing the theoretical underpinnings with practical
examples and real-world applications is a delicate task, requiring a nuanced understanding of the
subject matter. The writer must also grapple with the challenge of maintaining a balance between
depth and accessibility, ensuring that the essay is engaging for both experts and those new to the
field.
Addressing potential counterarguments and acknowledging the limitations of certain theories
further complicates the writing process. Striking the right balance between critical analysis and
constructive critique is crucial to present a well-rounded perspective on the topic. Additionally,
synthesizing information from various sources while maintaining academic integrity requires a
keen eye for detail and meticulous citation skills.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the intricacies of composing a psychology essay is a task that
demands a profound understanding of the subject, a thorough review of relevant literature, and
the ability to synthesize complex ideas into a coherent narrative. It is a challenging endeavor that
requires not only knowledge of psychology but also adept writing and analytical skills. For those
seeking assistance with such endeavors, a variety of resources are available, including

The Characteristics Of Witchcraft In Early Modem Europe
Witchcraft in Early Modem Europe was perceived with mixed attitudes by the
society. People in the 16th and 17th centuries accepted witchcraft when it worked
to help them, but saw it as a satanic practice when it failed. Although it was socially
acceptable for people to seek for advice or help from witches, it was taboo for witches
to use magicas it was linked to devil worship and other beliefs that went against the
Christian faith. Furthermore, women accused of sorcery were often unable to
receive a fair trial as demonstrated by the leading questions that were posed and the
acts of torture that led to forced confessions. During a period of religious and political
turmoil, the Trial of Tempel Anneke illustrates the fact that society was not so much
concerned with the truth, but rather convicted these women because of their
marginalized role in society caused by social disposition. Furthermore, it can be
suggested that while it was acceptable for people to inquire about magic, the law
heavily punished those who would practice witchcraft. It is evident that Tempel
Anneke displays the typical characteristics of an accused witch an older female
figure that was perceived as a burden to society and offered little in return. Anneke
was a widower who lost her husband who during the Thirty Years War and
depended on her son s financial assistance. Furthermore, she was informally trained
by her mother as a naturopathic healer and used her healing skills to help cure
people and animals in her community by using herbs and other plants. Anneke had
not been accused of witchcraft while her neighbors had hired her for medicinal
purposes on a regular basis until the case of Hans Kholer because of the harmful
magic she was accused of employing that led to fear and resentment towards her.
Lastly, society s perceptions of women during the time furthered their inability to
prove their innocence through a fair trial. It was a widely held belief that women
were of weak understanding, and are hence more likely to be ensnared by the lies
and illusions of the Devil (pg. xxxvi). Society s prejudice towards women, especially
elderly women dependent on society, predetermined the fate of the women charged
for witchcraft; the court of
MГ©tis In Canada
After the creation of Manitoba was the mГ©tis were treated in terrible and cruel
ways. Canada was viewed as taking advantage of the mГ©tis. After the creation of
Manitoba the Europeans believed they were superior to the Metis and many laws
were made to just benefit themselves. The mГ©tis had tried to obtain scrips which
were basically a piece of paper that could be used to certify possession of land or be
exchanged for money. The land scrips would allow the Metis to either claim 160
acres of land or sell it for $160. You could also get money scrips that were either
$160 or $240. The problem with scrips is that they were frequently stolen which
caused major problems for the mГ©tis as there weren t any names attached to it
which meant it was useable to anyone. At... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When the Bison population began to decrease, the Metis economy was affected
and they realized they had to take action. In 1873, the Metis of St. Laurent
officially wrote down the Laws of St. Laurent, which decreased the number of
Bison Hunts. These laws were unjust and cruel to the mГ©tis. Lawrence Clark
made decisions that only benefited the HBC and if any Metis dared to complain, he
would imprison them. Clark also payed the Metis carriers the bare minimum wage
(which was virtually nothing), and made their lives as difficult as possible. Clark
suggested, that with the creation of the North West Territories, that a Magistrate
should be appointed, later Clark was appointed as the magistrate. His new role as a
magistrate made him further more increase his authority, which allowed him to help
the HBC even more. The laws of St. Laurent made bison hunt very difficult. In the
spring, a group of bison hunters started hunting bison before the official hunting was
allowed. The hunters were arrested and fined for hunting too early. Clarke treated the
Metis very poorly and the Metis began to ignore the St. Laurent
Korean War Effects
When the Korean War began, the world was suffering from the aftermath of the
World War II and was just getting into the Cold War. During the Cold War era, the
Korean War broke out on the Korean peninsula as a result of the tensions between
communism and capitalism.
Despite Korea s long history and unique culture, it changed hands multiple times. It
was, at first, a state belonging to China but then was annexed by Japan in 1910.
After the Japanese had won in that war, Japan reinforced its influence in Korea and
formally annexed it as a colony in 1910.
During World War II, the Allied countries met to discuss what would happen to
Korea in the postwar period. In 1943, The People s Republic of China, the United
States, and Great Britain decided that once Japan is defeated, all of its colonies,
including Korea, will be confiscated. As the war ended in 1945, two American
colonels, Dean Rusk and Charles H. Bonesteel III, proposed General Order No. 1,
which instructed Japanese forces to surrender to its designated Allied commanders.
The U.S. would take responsibility for accepting the surrender of Japanese troops
south of the 38th parallel and Soviet troops would receive the surrender north of
38th parallel. The U.S. had control of Seoul, the Han River Valley, and Korea s
scarce arable land. The Soviets took Korea s industrial heartland, gold and ... Show

The U.N. hoped that it would lead to the reunification of Korea under a
democratically elected government. However, the Soviet Union refused to participate
in the elections and supported Kim Il Sung as the leader of the Democratic People s

South, the U.S. supported Syngman Rhee as the elected leader of the Republic of
Korea. Both Kim and Rhee loyal to the idea of Korean reunification, although each

Target Corporation s Dealing with a Data Security Breach
In 2013, Target Corp., the company that prides itself on offering quality, upscale,
and trendy merchandise at lower costs, had anticipated a historic year. However,
after purchasing Canadian retailer Zellers 273 locations and finally executing plans
to expand outside the United States, both company and stockholder optimism
vanished. In late 2013, news of a massive data breach affecting nearly 110 million
consumers turned out devastatingly bad numbers in the fourth quarter some
experts even calling it the second largest retail cyber attack in history. As the
holiday season approached, analysts had expected Target s earnings to be flat
compared to the previous year, 2012, when the Minneapolis based retailer posted
fourth quarter earnings at $921 million. However, after news of the breach and its
ongoing investigation became public, many consumers, uncertain about the extent
of the breach, chose to shop with Target s competitors during the holidays. Target s
best public relations efforts could not completely ease consumer concerns. Sales in
the last week of the holiday season fell by nearly 4 percent, compared to other
retailers, which devastated the traditionally strong retailer as holiday sales account
for 20 to 40 percent of annual sales. Target ended the quarter with $520 million in
earnings, down almost 45 percent from 2012. Breaking News Popular tech security

Ideals Of Beauty Need Not Hinder Women
Every woman wants to be beautiful, but what exactly is to be beautiful? Beauty is an
abstract concept, what is beautiful for one person, it might not be for another. This
can be seen in all around the world, each country has different perceptions of beauty
and this depends on the culture that the country has. There is an article that Business
Insider presented in which they talk about a womanthat send her picture to 18
different countries and asked them to edit the photo so they can make her beautiful
according to their culture. Some countries have made little changes in her body,
making her thinner and taller, other countries made changes on her face which made
the women seem like a completely different person. What this experiment showed...

What is beautiful know was not always beautiful, there was a time in history when
being thin was considered ugly, a woman s misfortune (Seid 169). Because culture
change, what is ask for women now is different, body ideals might be the same but
the actual response of women is what is changing nowadays. In the article Ideals of
Beauty Need Not Hinder Women. by Raina Kelley, the author reveals surprising
statistics of women s response of what society demands from them, And believe it
or not, trends in beauty buying back that up. The market research firm NPD
released a study in April [2010] that revealed that teens and women are now using
beauty products in significantly fewer quantities, down 6 percent from 2008 to 2009
(Kelley). In her article, Kelley talks about how women s mentality is changing, and
instead of obeying they are reveling from standards held against them. Women are
gaining courage and self confidence to do what they want to do with their lives and
body, to please themselves and to look beautiful for themselves. Despite the $20
billion U.S. beauty industry bearing down on us, and all that media implying that one
must look like Gisele [BГјndchen, a model] to succeed, girls and women are making
extraordinary strides and have done so in a remarkably short period of time
(Kelley). Women in today s society do not feel the need to follow stereotypes
anymore, they are supporting each other and making sure that no one feels less than
anybody because they do not have a slim waist, light skin and a thin body. Women are
rebelling against the beauty standards that they always follow and made them

The Role Of Adolescent Health Centers Play On Public
Health
Kate Guzman, the Associate Director of a school linked health center, was
interviewed to understand the role adolescent health centers play in public health.
During the interview it was learned that adolescent health centers play an important
role in providing some of the ten essential public health services such as monitoring
the healthstatus of a community, informing, educating, and empowering patients on
health issues, and mobilizing community partnerships. Adolescents are an
underserved population that requires health care services that are often controversial.
Kate Guzman and her colleagues, work in a collaborative setting to efficiently meet
the demanding needs of adolescent health.
Kate Guzman, RN, MS, is the Associate Director of the Corner Health Center in
Ypsilanti, Michigan. Originally a small clinic in the corner of a local high school,
the Corner is now a freestanding school linked health center, serving adolescents
ages 12 25 and offers a full range of primary health care, mental health and
supportive services. The Corner s mission is to help young people make healthy
choices now and in the future by providing high quality primary health care,
education and support for adolescents and their children without regard to income
level.
The Corner is staffed by a dynamic, multi disciplinary team including physicians,
nurses, social workers, nutritionists, health educators, patient navigators, and
administrative staff. The staff serves adolescents with the goals to
Don Giovanni Character Analysis
Don Giovanni is an operatic character that plays a womanizer during the 17th
century. This was a play first performed in 1789, a successful creation of Mozart and
DaPonte. During the play, Don Giovanni represents a sociopath that is lead by his
incredible weakness for women. This weakness leads him into darkness, complete
with seduction, and murder. Since the beginning, many people have seen Don
Giovannias a herobut many others have considered him a villain. The actions of Don
Giovanni are not completely heroic neither are they totally villainous. But is
noticeable that throughout the play he is more a hero than a villain.
In the first act, Don Giovanni is rushing out from Donna Anna s room. She pursues
him and calls for help to arrest the man she says raped her. When she is calling for
help her father, the Commendatore, comes out and challenges Don Giovanni to a
duel to revenge his daughter s honor. Don Giovanni won the duel and now Donna
Ana s father is dead. This particular scene is controversial in the play because
depicts Don Giovanni as a rapist and as a murder. But this is not clearly
convincible. In the first place, the woman is chasing him after he leaves the room
which is odd since no woman would chase the man that just raped her. Then the
Commendatore was killed in a duel in which he was the challenger. A duel is the
fighting between two persons to fix their differences and usually, this kind of battles
was legal during the 17th century. Don Giovanni did not

An estimated four million Jews lived in the Roman Empire, but only an estimated
700,000 lived in Palestine. A larger population of Jews lived in Alexandria and Syria.
Gentiles outnumbered Jews in Decapolis and Galilee (Intertestamental Period New

Yu-Gi-Oh Game Analysis
1.In the game of Yu Gi Oh, there is a lot of give and take when it comes to cards.
When determining whether a card is good or not, I often look at just the good
parts of the effect and not the drawbacks. For example, there is a card called Card
of Demise. This card allows you to draw until you have 3 cards in your hand, but
you cannot do damage to your opponent for the rest of the turn, you send your
entire hand to the Graveyard during the End Phase, and you cannot Special
Summon during the turn you activate this card. While there are some clear
negatives to the card, I overlook those and really only look at the fact that you can
draw up to 3 cards, which is unprecedented in Yu Gi Oh. While the creators of the
card, Konami, try to make Card... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One cannot see the Yu Gi Oh community without a glimpse of bandwagon. While in
the card game almost anything can be played within the entire 20 year history,
people often flock to bandwagoning the quote best decks. It has even gotten to the
point where people come up with a Tier List to place decks from best to worst, but
these list are subjective. While there is potential for any deck to do well in a
tournament, one will see the same decks top because of the numbers that represent
those decks at a tournament because of bandwagoning. With groupthink, the
community believes those decks to be the best and are the decks that are looked at
when it is time to hit cards on the Ban
Comcast and Time Warner Cable Merger
Most everyone subscribes to some type of cable service. When Comcast
announced plans to merge with Time Warner Cable back in February, Congress
was quick to criticize the deal (Popelka). Many members of Congress were not in
favor of the merger, and rumors of an antitrust review were imminent (Popelka).
This is a great example of how U.S. antitrust policy has turned into a political game (
Popelka). Politicians may gain supporters, but no one is going to decrease the cost of
cable service to consumers (Popelka). Antitrust laws were put into place for a reason.
The Sherman Antitrust Actwas created to prevent monopolistic activities that
diminish consumer choice or competition (Popelka). In this case, the merger
between these two companies will not take away consumer choice because they
operate in different geographies (Popelka). Cable companies are struggling to keep
up with the demands of younger consumers who are interested in online services
instead of cable (Popelka). Politicians who oppose this merger are using the
Herfindahl Hirschman Index (HHI) to evaluate monopolystatus (Popelka). Comcast
has found a way around this so they can stay below a mythical 30 percent HHI
market share threshold (Popelka). Comcast will be appearing before the Senate
Judiciary Committee in April to answer questions about the merger with Time
Warner Cable (Carr). Many want to know how it is possible for the largest cable
company to acquire the second largest cable company (Carr).
The Curriculum And Assessment Framework
Over the past decade there have been vast changes to our education system here in
Northern Ireland. The revamp of the curriculum is described by CCEA (2007) as a
curriculum and assessment framework that is capable of meeting the changing
needs of pupils, society and the economy. Despite the review tackling proposals for
change across a wide variety of areas within the curriculum, it can be said that it has
failed to meet the changing needs of the pupils in terms of learner voice. Rodgers
(2005) defines leaner voice as the active opportunity for students to express their
opinions and make decisions regarding the planning, implementation and evaluation
of their learning experiences. This definition is very fitting to our society today...

There are various strategies that can be employed to support pupil voice both within
the classroom and whole school context. One of the main up and coming strategies
that schools seem to be focusing on is that of a school council. School councils are
the easiest way for schools to give pupils their say and make decisions about current
issues.
School councils are a very tangible manifestation of pupil voice. They can be
important in offering a formal, democratic, transparent and accountable whole school
forum for pupil participation, linking to the broader governance framework of a
school (Alderson 2000:121 34).
Surrounding every strategy, there is a widely seen debate about how beneficial or
problematic each strategy is. For school councils to be beneficial in promoting
pupil voice, there must be a fair representation of all pupils within the school.
Levin (1998) described the moral concept surrounding this strategy where
democratic practice should lie among the least powerful. The least powerful in our
schools are the younger pupils, the quiet pupils and those pupils with SEN. When
all individuals are fairly represented the system will lend to adequate and
successful learner voice. School councils allow pupils to see first hand how their
needs and views will be responded to and how their opinions will be valued by all.
They can be contextualised to a classroom environment whereby each class has a
council
Thematic Analysis Of Bless Me, Ultima
Thematic Analysis of Conflicts in, Bless me, Ultima Differences in others aid to the
stimulation of ideas and opinions that expresses an individual s personality. In
Rudolfo Anaya s bildungsroman, Bless Me, Ultima, the struggle between two
families and their extreme differences cause numerous conflicts that are constantly
present throughout his novel. In this chicano inspired novel, Antonio MarГ©z, the
six year old protagonist, is perpetually faced with instances of dissimilarity
throughout his life that often make it a challenge to stand out instead of fitting in
with the rest of the crowd. When Anaya uses literary elements such as setting his
novel as a bildungsroman, symbolism and and imagery it helps intensify the reader
s understanding of the novel. Contrasts between good and evil, right and wrong
and even teachings within the MarГ©zes own family are a main cause in
increasing Antonios level of maturity. Initially, Antonio s family in itself
experiences major discrepancies with beliefs in different religions. Antonio s
mother, Maria MarГ©z, (formally a Luna), has a strong monotheistic belief in
praying to the Virgin of Guadalupe and is very active in her catholic faith. Antonio
s mother would always make them pray and often times, after supper [they] always

would kneel in front of and sometimes pray to for hours on end (Anaya 43). Maria

A Position Within The Political Communications Field
1. Introduction: This paper will focus on a position within the Political
Communications field. Political Communications is a sub field incorporating both
political science and communications disciplines; dealing with the production, and
distribution of effects of information, both through the use of media interpersonally
and within a political context (Norris, 2004). The process operates downwards from
governing institutions towards citizens, horizontally in connection among different
political actors, and also upwards from general public opinion towards authoritative
figures (Norris, 2004). For the sake of this paper, there will be a particular focus on
the position of Director of Communications held by Steve Kee at the Insurance
Bureau of Canada. 2. Background: Established in 1964, the Insurance Bureau of
Canada (also known as the IBC) is the leading national industry organization
representing Canada s private home, auto and business insurance (Insurance Bureau
of Canada, 2016). The IBC has worked on a number of fronts, by means of increasing
public understanding of the different divisions of insurance (Insurance Bureau of
Canada, 2016). Its goal is to make communities, both small and large, safer, while
championing issues directly affecting Canadians (Insurance Bureau of Canada, 2016).
As of 1997, the merging of both the Insurance Bureau of Canada and the Insurance
Crime Prevention Bureau of Canada resulted in the drastic restricting of the

The Difficulties of Hearing Loss in Education Essay
The people in the following list all have something in common: Whoopi Goldberg,
Pete Townshend (lead guitarist of The Who), Huey Lewis, Helen Keller, Ludwig
Van Beethoven, and Thomas Edison. If you were unable to guess, all of these
people had a hearing loss. In terms of formal definition, a hearing loss is, a spectrum
of disorders causing a disruption or distortion of auditory information reaching or
being processed by the central nervous system. Hearing losses not only effect adults
or the elderly, they are also prevalent among children. As future teachers, we should
understand everything that accompanies a hearing loss considering we may have a

In particular, seventy percent of genetic, congenital, cases have no syndromes.
Children are often diagnosed around twenty months due to this factor. Also, a good
amount of genetic hearing losses, eighty percent to be exact are autosomal
recessive. This means that the parents do not have a hearing loss, but they are
carriers. This gives physicians less information that would alert them of an
infantile hearing loss. During the elementary years, children with this loss can
encounter a variety of obstacles. One big obstacle can occur with the development
of reading skills. Since reading and reading comprehension is so important for life
this can be a huge setback if it is not met with intensive intervention. According to
research, the median reading level for high school graduates with hearing loss
falls between fourth and fifth grade. If a child with a loss is able to begin their
school years already knowing the alphabet, they will have a much higher chance
of being a grade level reader. Knowing the alphabet early on in life is able to
increase the phonological awareness that the child has. Their phonological
awareness can predict their future reading abilities. Children who are deaf or hard
of hearing are known to have troubles when it comes to their social lives especially
with their hearing peers. According to Anita, Jones, and Luckner, Individuals who
lack social skills are often rejected by others and are at risk for developing mental
health problems.

Throughout his career rapper Kanye West, has been portrayed as many different
things in the media based on his public appearance and the subject matter of his
music. The message he relates in his music is ever changing and often showcases
different ideals or stances on issues echoed among different parts of the African
Americancommunity. Two such instances of this come from very different periods
of Kanye s career, and show two polar opposite opinions of how to deal with arguably
the most important social issue in American history. This change in Kanye s way of

seems to be have a sort of passive aggressive attitude regarding racism, he
understands the problem and recognizes it but doesn t seem to feel that fighting

the African American community, including one of the most famous civil rights
activists of all time, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in a 1957 speech entitled Justice
without violence , in which he discusses solutions to the problem of inequality, Dr.
King said It seems to me that there are two possible answers to this question. One is
to use the all [too] prevalent method of physical violence . . . And we all know the
danger of this method. It seems to create many more social problems than it solves.
(King Jr.)Dr. King argued until his death in 1967 for a non violent resolution to
racism and had tens of millions of supporters behind him across the United States.

Patchwork Commentary
Patchwork Analysis
Eavan Boland s unique poem, Patchwork, allows the reader to be privy to the private
thoughts of a persona, presumably the author herself, as she struggles to answer the
question of fate or destiny. Throughout the poem, while quilting alone late at night,
the speaker puzzles over the randomness of the universe, utilizing the simple quilt
metaphor to inspire a final epiphany.
Immediately revealing the central theme of the poem as well as alluding to the
narrator s apparent self doubt, the first stanza is an imperative aspect of this piece. The
speaker begins by stating that she has been thinking at random on the universe, or
rather, how nothing in the universe is random . So commences her journey to solve
the question: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The word mechanical suggests that the woman is acting mindlessly, almost as if
guided by a higher power. Fate determines that the quilt will be made, and so it will
be. It guides the woman s hands as her mind once again floats away from reality and
begins to explore the metaphysical world. In addition, upon describing her
secondhand sewing machine , the narrator further exposes her self depreciating
character.
In the fifth stanza, the speaker makes inconsiderable progress in solving the crucial
question regarding the randomness of the universe. As she realizes the overwhelming
number of uncertainties in the universe, the woman chooses instead to concentrate on
the task at hand, turning her back...to the dark or the unknowns. However, she is
unable to resist the compelling temptation of mystery, and quickly attempts to
contemplate the stars and bits of stars and little bits of bits which reside throughout
the universe. While the bits in this statement signify randomness, the stars represent
the unknown. This symbolism, coupled with the use of repetition and alliteration,
emphasize the woman s sheer confusion on the matter at hand. The vast uncertainty
of the universe has forced her to consider the possibility of a wholly random universe.
The persona s confusion is confirmed through her question: is it craft or art? In this
circumstance, craft represents a universe in which fate
Values Of Music In Benjamin Britten sAlbert Herring
At the opera called Benjamin Britten s Albert Herring , I would say I was a
perceptive listener. I was this type of listener because I really tried to fully grasp the
idea of the music. I paid close attention to the different tempos and the different
volumes of the pieces that were sung. I also tried to seek an understanding of what
values were sung through the music to see if it resembled what the culture could of
been like during the time period.
The instrumentation was a symphony orchestra. These orchestra s include instruments
from the strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion families, and occasionally from
the keyboard family. The orchestra that was playing during the opera did include
instruments from the keyboard family, and instruments from the families listed
above. There were times during the show where I could very easily tell what
instruments were playing, but then again on the other hand, there were times when I
had no idea. I could tell/hear when a violin was playing because I use to play the
instrument. I could also tell when the keyboard was played, and instruments from the
percussion group, because they have clear distinctive sounds that are easily
recognized.
The first piece that was performed was called .....Florence . There was a variety of
different pitches and dynamics. The purpose was to set the tone of the play. The
instruments that were playing and the singing made the tone sound intense at some
parts. It was entertaining and kept me interested.
Essay about Root Surface Caries
Root Surface Caries
Caries can affect any surface of the teeth. The most commonly seen caries are found
on the crown of a tooth, above the cemento enamel junction, it is also possible for
caries to form on the root surface, below the cemento enamel junction. Dental root
caries has received a great deal of attention in the past few decades. A variety of
different patients are at risk for root surface caries. Dentists use several methods of
treatment.
Root surface caries are also called cemental caries, cervical caries, or radicular caries.
(Wilkins) Root surface caries only involves the roots of teeth. The cementum and
dentin located just below the crown of the tooth is involved. No involvement of
enamel is seen with root surface caries. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This process is enhanced with the presence of gingival recession.(Hammel)
Clinically, root caries appears as a soft, irregularly shaped lesion, either totally
confined to the root surface or also involving the enamel at the cemento enamel
junction. (Flaitz) It is more easily detected on exposed root surfaces. It has been
found that 10% to 20% of root caries lesions are found subgingivally, especially at
the interproximal region. The most common locations also include exposed roots of
the mandibular premolar and molar areas. On a dental radiograph, root surface caries
appears as a cupped out or crater shaped radiolucency just below the cemento enamel
junction. Early lesions may be difficult to detect on a dental radiograph.(Hassan)
Clinical description is very subjective and is based on color, texture, surface
smoothness, depth of the lesion, and distinctiveness of its border. Root caries can
be classified as active or inactive. Active lesions are leathery or soft, and inactive or
arrested lesions are hard upon touch with an explorer. Root caries can vary in color
from black or dark brown to yellowish or light brown.(Wilkins)
Measures that can be taken to prevent root surface caries are just as one would
perform to prevent coronal caries. Oral hygiene is most important. Brush your teeth
at least twice a day, preferably after each meal. Floss your teeth regularly to remove
food particles between your teeth that cannot be removed by ordinary brushing.

Imagine the impact of helping someone when they need it. When you help someone,
it can make someone s day, or make them want to help someone else, including you.
Because of this, not only you feel better but others will want to help you to.
Characters who help someone will receive a benefit, even if they do not know it at
the start. In the novel, The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, Santiago learns, When we
strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better, too. First,
good came after bad. Next, Santiago helps people who eventually help him. Last,
important lessons make Santiago become a better person.
First, good came after bad. For example, while Santiago is at Tarifa after he is
robbed, he meets a crystal merchant who allows him to clean his shop, which
results in him getting a job there. When they had eaten, the merchant turned to` the
boy and said, I d like you to work in my shop. Two customers came in today while
you were working, and that s a good omen (49). Good comes to Santiago after he
goes through the bad. He is robbed, and then he gets offered a job that will pay
him, so he has a chance to regain the money he just lost. Finally, since he still tries
to become better, he gets a job which will help him gain money for the journey. To
conclude, Santiago learns that even if something bad happens, if you still strive to
become better, you will be awarded.
Next, Santiago s friends help him become better. To clarify, when Santiago is on the
Human And Technology In Bloodchild
Creating a piece of sound based on a fiction story? I never though that I will do this
thing before and when I am doing it now, I feel I love it. In this project, my
teammate Scott is a professional musician. He is so nice and I do learn a lot from him.
In Bloodchild, human being is colonized by Tlic. When we first discussed about this
story, Scott shared that this story remind him the relationship between human and
technology. Tlic need human body to grow and human can easily kill them when
they are small. However, once they grow up, they become so strong that could even
control human. It sounds very similar, right? Technology is created and developed by
human beings now. But many people are worried about one day, when AI is mature

A study by Cutler and Pozen (2009) compared people with heart disease in both
Canada and the United States. The main purpose of the study was to compare how
citizens fare with heart disease in United States Compared to Canada. The purpose
behind this study is that the United States on Average spends a large amount more
then Canada on Healthcare witch brings to question if it is that much more beneficial
to the patients well being. The study relates to the body of literature cited in that it
compares its results with many of the other studies done and their results. The other
information that relates to the study is factual information about how much the
United States Spends on health care compared to Canada. This is related ... Show

This was measured based on if they could do nine daily tasks without any issues.
The dependent variable in this study is simply the well being of the person that
was surveyed and more specifically their fair or poor health as well as whether or
not they have a disability. Within the study there were a vast amount of variables
that could be considered independent such as age, Income, and BMI. The major
independent variable in the study was the country the participant were receiving
care in. The study that yielded the information in this article took place using a
telephone survey in 2003. As more specifically stated above they called at random
through a survey service called JCUSH. They were then asked the questions of
measurement which then got recorded. The data retained was then analyzed using
logistic regressions. Overall the people polled for in this survey that declared they
had Heart Disease were very similar in age, sex, marital status, body mass index
and many other variables. One of the major differences is that forty five percent of
Canadians suffering heart disease had below a high school education (Cutler and
Pozen 2009). Overall this trend caused people in Canada to earn on average less then
those in the United States that had Heart Disease. The P values for their results were
relatively low therefore the null hypothesis could be rejected. The most important
statistic taken from the study was that out of the
Disability Discrimination
Disability Discrimination Act 1995 in the workplace and its effect on employment
Introduction
The act was introduced with the view to eliminate discrimination amongst disabled
people in employment, throughout the assignment I will critically analyse the
different areas of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and find out what effect they
have had on disabled people in employment.
Definition of disability
A disabled person is someone who has a physical or mental impairment which has a
substantial and long term adverse effect on their ability to carry out normal day to
day activities (section 1 (1) DDA 1995). The disability discrimination act 1995 was
introduced to outlaw discrimination against disabled employees in the UK and covers

By taking these steps the employer could be sure they have done all they can for the
employee and safeguard themselves from any legal action as their dismissal would be
justified.
Disability related discrimination
Section 3A(1) of the Disability Discrimination Act states that an employer
discriminates against a disabled person if the discrimination is related to the persons
disability or if the treatment they receive differs from the treatment of persons
without a disability unless the employer can actually justify the less favourable
treatment.
In Jones v Post office (2001) Mr Jones worked as a driver for the postal service
when he developed diabetes. After discovering his disability Mr Jones s employers
removed him from his driving duties for health and safety issues, as their policy was
that any drivers receiving insulin treatment should not carry on in their existing role
in case they suffered a hypo attack whilst driving. After reviewing their decision they
allowed Mr Jones to return back to his driving duties limiting his driving hours to two
hours in any twenty four. Mr Jones was unhappy at this decision and went to the
Employment tribunal who accepted Mr Jones s claim of disability discrimination on
the basis that the limiting his driving hours was not justified. The tribunal

Wallflower
ADV ENG Task 1 Tylah H 12D
Discovery can encompass the experience of discovering something for the first time
or rediscovering something that has been lost, forgotten or concealed. They can be
sudden and unexpected or deliberate and carefully planned. There are many motives
for discovery such as, curiosity, necessity and wonder. Discoverycan be emotional,
creative, intellectual, physical and spiritual. These discoveries ultimately result in
new worlds and perspectives, new ideas and future possibilities and new
understandings.
My related text is the Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. Through
becoming friends with Sam and Patrick, Charlie the protagonist in this novel, is
introduced to an entirely different world from what he is used to. Charlie goes
from having almost no friends, to have a whole group of older, alternative and
eclectic friends, many of which have values, ideas and hobbies that Charlie has
never experienced before. An example of this is Mary Elizabeth, an aggressive
Buddhist with a belly button ring who runs a magazine and stage show based on the
Rocky Horror Picture Show. As Charlie is a wallflower he notices these differences
and quirks amongst his friends and actually takes the time to consider them. This is
evident through Charlie s Christmas presents to his friends, each far from generic,
instead well suited to each person s unique personality. Through his friends, Charlie
experiences many teen firsts such as his first kiss,
Old Man Sea
The book I have read was the old man and the sea by Ernest Hemingway. He wrote
the book in the Cuba in 1951 and the bok came out 1952. the old man and the sea
was one of the most famoust book of Hemingway. The protagnist in the book is a
fisherman who called Santiago. The supporting roll is a boy who called Manolin.
The old man has not caught a fish in 84 days. But he never gives up, he has full of
fighting spirit.. Finally in the eighty fifth day he catchs a really big fish, a marlin.
The Marlin dragged his boat into the sea and the old man pulles the fish tightly to
not let it go. Although there are no water, no food and no weapon, he nevers give up.

he thought. But it is good that we do not have to try to kill the sun or the monn. It
is enough to live on the sea and kill our true brothers. Here brothers mean fish.
Sometimes he talkes with them, sometimes he talkes with himself. For exampel:

his conversation between them and himself, I understand how lonely and

he can finally make a lot of money, but gradually the old man begin to appreciate
the wisdom and insistence of Marlin, he sees Marlin as a great enemy. And in the

The Secret Agent Essay
Conrad applies an apparently crystal clear literary narrative technique in the tradition
of conventional realism, a narrative method that appears deceptively simple. The
Secret Agent holds great deal of the social concerns. It is considered supreme
masterpieces, it is a brilliantly depicting an ironic narrative of London s seedy and
dispossessed underworld of revolutionist and anarchists. He have been in Polish in
exile, and having experience of working with revolutionists and espionage agents in
Switzerland and Marseilles, Conrad is well educated, sophisticated, intelligent, and
talented to be familiar with the tactics and rationalizations used by political agitators
and terrorists. Furthermore, he had become tantalized with the twilight world of
international political activity in London. Conrad brings up many idea of discussions

especially through Stevie and Michaelis that Conrad tries to figure out if people in
the modern world are even capable to take care one another. undoubtedly, Stevie and

The Rise Of Women In France Essay
The Rise of Women in French Society
During the Middle Ages, French society, along with the rest of Europe, revolved
around the warrior class. In order to gain land and power nobles gave their services
in the military and lived violent lifestyles. Treatment toward women during this
period was harsh. quot;In a society of landed nobility dispersed fairly loosely across
the country in their castles and estates, the likelihood of a preponderance of the
man over the woman and thus of a more or less unconcealed male dominance, is
very great. quot; (Elias, Page 325.) Men beat their wives and typically had little
respect for them. Marriage was based not on love but on increase in influence and
wealth. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The bourgeoisie had grown and taken power away from the warrior class of nobility.
quot;Thereby the equilibrium is slowly established which gives optimal power to
one man, the central ruler. The kings during this era created a luxurious palace court
system that brought families and nobility together in close proximity. Under the
watchful eye of society, men were less prone to physical violence and the
importance of the woman grew. quot;Social life quot; began to grow and more
importance was placed upon literature and the fine arts, skills that women had long
been schooled in. In the past, it was the women and clergy who had been taught to
read and write, as there had not been much importance for it during the days of wars
and political unrest. quot; For the master of the court, his function as knight and
military leader was still the primary one; his education too was that of a warrior
centered upon the wielding of arms. For just this reason the women surpassed him
in the sphere of peaceful society. quot; (Page 326 7.) At the end of the Middle
Ages, women became assets to their families. The battlefield for power had
changed from bloodshed to skill. A daughter who possessed great social graces
could bring a family closer to the monarchy and insure it s members a greater ranking
in court life.
Emphasis began to be placed on beauty and love, an emotion virtually void in the
warrior society. Troubadour poetry and minnesang rose, creating a

Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii, Italy (79 AD)
Pompeii, a once glorious city that held beautiful scenery that attracted many
prosperous travelers. Although Pompeii was a gorgeous, bustling city on the way to
success, the unfortunate location made it very hard for the city to truly grow
completely. By the land of Pompeii, the volcano Mt. Vesuvius had been around for
hundreds of thousands of years ready to erupt. In fact it did erupt many times, but
Mt. Vesuvius s outbursts were barely noticeable by the public because of the many
wondrous distractions held in Pompeii. More and more travelers came to visit
Pompeii disregarding Mt. Vesuvius s shaky patterns (History). 79 A.D was the most
tragic of all the eruptions. Mt. Vesuvius sent volcanic gases into a beam of light into

Some Pompeiians traveled back to look for loved ones or personal goods, but
could not find much for it was scarce. Since then the land has been discarded until
the rediscovery long after (History). Mt. Vesuvius faces the Bay and the serene
City of Naples, and is the only vigorous volcano in mainland Europe. Although Mt.
Vesuvius is most likely known for its eruption in 79 A.D, the smaller eruption in
1944 makes it clear that it is still a danger for the communities around it, most
preferably Naples (Geology). Mt. Vesuvius is a member of a line of volcanos
established on top of a subduction zone, called the Campanian volcanic arc. Mt.
Vesuvius is an andesite, which is 53% silica, can create explosive eruptions on many
ratios. The arc is created by merging Eurasian and African plates, reaching the Italian
peninsula, like Mount Ertha which was formed the same way. This makes Mt.
Vesuvius s dicey eruptions, incredibly more dangerous
Pensive Bodhisattva And Korean Buddhist Art
Pensive Bodhisattva and Korean Buddhist Art Our lives are closely connected
with an art. People easily regard an artwork as something that is far from our lives,
but it is always around us. Now, I would like to introduce one of Buddhist artworks
of Korea. The title is Pensive Bodhisattva. The artist is unknown. However, it was
made in mid 7th century during the Three Kingdom Period. The dimension of this
artwork is 8 7/8 inch and the medium is gilt bronze. It is located in Gallery 233
among other Korean artworks at the Metropolitan Museum of Art now. Pensive
Bodhisattvahas typical features of the Buddhist artworks. Also, the interesting
aspect is we can see the unique features of the Three Kingdom Period s artwork
through this sculpture. When we see this sculpture at first, the most noticeable
point is the bodhisattva s posture. He sits on the dais and he puts his right leg over
his left leg. The right leg also props his right elbow and his fingers especially the
forefinger and the middle finger touch his right chin and he rests his left hand
neatly on his right ankle. The description of his fingers and toes are very realistic.
When we see the fingers and toes, we can feel how the artist put his or her blood
into sculpting each fingers and toes. However, his posture seems agonizing. When
we take a closer look his face, his eyes are closed and he puts gentle smile on his
lips. For that reason, his posture reminds us his anguish, but at the same time, his

What are the order winners and qualifiers for these different ranges?
Order winning factors are those things which directly and significantly contribute to
winning business. They are regarded by customers as key reasons for purchasing
the product or service. Raising performance in an order winning factor will either
result in more business or improve the chances of gaining more business. (N Slack, S
Chambers and R Johnston, Operation Management, p.72) These criteria win orders
and they differentiate a product or service from those of the competition by offering
product or service features that are superior to those competition.

Companion Dogs, Making a Difference
For a number of children with autism having a companion dog is the difference
between life and death. Methodically trained guide dogs help create an environment
where autistic children are comfortable enough to live a more ordinary lifestyle.
Autism spectrum disorder is a major public health problem that is the most common
neurological disorder affecting 1 out of every 110 births in the US (AutismSociety,
2009). ASDs can range in severity from Asperger Syndrome, a high functioning form
of autism where the child can function relatively well in society, to autistic disorder or
classical ASD, which severely inhibits the child s ability to socialize or communicate

Service dogs also help their children sleep at night by helping reduce the chance of
sleepwalking and nightmares. With the dog by the child s side, the remainder of the
family has an opportunity to get adequate sleep.
Having a companion dog, usually either a Golden retriever or Labrador retriever,
due to their size and gentle nature, is vastly different from simply having a pet.
Service dogs go through extensive training, usually six to eighteen months, before
being placed with a child and continue training after being placed in the home. The
key is to evaluate the situation as carefully as possible, keeping expectations realistic
and conditions flexible. A companion animal is the most rewarding when the whole
family is willing to adapt and take on the responsibilities; thus increasing the quality
of life substantially.
Companion dogs help develop the child s daily tasks, improving psychological
aspects too. These pups help the child learn how to bond by creating a more playful
mood and teaching the child how to focus. They help allow these children to come
out of their shells and be themselves. They help the child get motivated in the
morning to begin their day and stay on task. The dogs are allowed to accompany the
child to school which is one of the most overwhelming places with the constant
noises, movement and other unexpected forms of overstimulation the dogs are there
to protect the child. A sense of responsibility is created by empowering the
Hypothyroidism vs. Hyperthyroidism
Hypo/Hyperthyroidism
Both hypo and hyperthyroidism are a result of a disease in caused by malfunction of
the thyroid gland located in the neck as represented by the image below left. The
causes of chronic hypothyroidism are fairly distinct. Around the world in third world
and developing countries, iodine deficiency is the most common cause of
hypothyroidism. This used to be true as well for developed countries, but today this
is a less common cause as iodine usually finds its way into our diets without too
much trouble. In modern day developed countries, hypothyroidism is mainly a result
of Hashimoto s thyroiditis, a birth defect which lacks a thyroid gland or a deficiency
of hormones from either the hypothalamus or the pituitary gland. ... Show more

Hyperthyroidism is caused by an excess of thyroxine (T4) or triiodothyronine (T3), or
both. This excess is a result of a malfunction of the thyroid gland as indicated by the
picture below. There are many different symptoms of hyperthyroidism, some of the
most common being major weight loss despite having a insatiable appetite, anxiety,
heat intolerance, fatigue, weakness, hyperactivity, irritability, apathy, depression, and
sweating. In addition, many experience shortness of breath, loss of balance, nausea,
vomiting, osteoporosis, and diarrhea. However, those who undergo hyperthyroidism
later in life may not experience most of these symptoms at all and instead only feel
constantly fatigued and considerable weight loss. Nonetheless, neurological
symptoms may occur in addition to the physical manifestations. These neurological
symptoms include tremor, chorea (ticks), myopathy (muscle weakness), and
temporary but periodic paralysis. There are a variety of ways to treat
hyperthyroidism, depending on the age of the patient, the size of their thyroid gland,
and their general health. The most common treatments include beta blockers, which
do not actually cure hyperthyroidism but mask some of the symptoms such as
tremors, anxiety and so on. This, however, is not advised for those with heart or lung
problems. Another possible treatment for this disease is radioactive iodine, or RAI.
RAI therapy is the most common treatment for hyperthyroidism
Ageing Is Not A Disease, And Should Not Be Dreaded
Age comes with so many challenges including development of conditions that affect
the well being of the ageing individuals. There are so many people who would love
to remain youthful, but this is beyond the control of anybody. However, ageing is
not a disease, and should not be dreaded. In fact, old people still have so much to
offer to the society including the experiences they have accumulated over the years,
the wisdom they have learned, and sometimes they even have valuable skills which
they can pass on to the younger generations. Older people have so much information
within them and all that one needs to do is to consult their knowledge and learn from
those experiences. The World Health Organization states that, The ageingof the...

longer having the regular income they are used to earning despite the fact that they
still want to maintain the same lifestyle that they have been enjoying when working.
These changes are more likely the causes of stress and even depression if they are
not handled in the right manner. In fact, it is noteworthy to understand that for the
ageing to retire gracefully and not face those challenges, they need to plan their
retirement way before they are officially retired so that when they stop working, they
already have a plan which will not disrupt them so much from their activities, and,
therefore, they are able to transition to a new lifestyle easily. In so doing, the ageing
population also avoids developing diseases associated with depression, which could
make them lose functionality in the society.
As people age, they are exposed to many infections. In fact, it begins immediately a

BADM 350 1. How well did the iPremier Company perform during the seventy five

Normally, a company would follow emergency procedures while dealing with crises,
but in iPremier s case, there was no emergency procedure available. Under these
circumstances, and with no prior experience with security breaches, I believe the
company performed well. Bob Turley communicated well with the other members of

iPremier s procedures were absolutely deficient. They had an outdated emergency
manual that employees couldn t find, and almost couldn t access the data center.
Additional measures they could have implemented long before the attack include
revising the emergency procedure and making sure all employees know how to
follow it. 3. Now the attack has ended, what can the iPremier Company do to prepare
for another such attack?
While I mentioned revising the emergency procedure in the previous question, there
are other ways to prepare as well. iPremier could implement a method to escalate
unsatisfactory service from Qdata to higher level management; if they switch to a
data center with open lines of communication, the next crisis would be easier to
handle, or it might even be completely averted. 4. In the aftermath of the attack, what
would you be worried about? What actions would you recommend?
I would be worried about three issues, including the identity and motivation of the
hacker, the amount of data that was taken from iPremier, and public disclosure.
Since Bob didn t pull the plug, there is a log documenting what happened during the
attack I would start by analyzing the log and trying to solve the first two issues.
Public disclosure is a legal matter, yet it affect thee public image of iPremier, so I
would consult with both Warren and Stewart to see both PR and legal s perspective
on the attack, and formulate a public statement

Extra classes a waste of time and resources
SOME schools extend schooling time to hold extra classes. The schools think that
this will guarantee straight A s students. I do not think so.
After school hours are for students to play games, join some social events or other

And the school holiday is a very crucial time for students because they can rest and
indulge in their favourite pastimes like reading, playing outdoor games, travelling,

But apart from that, parents should just let children be children.
Nevertheless, the Education Ministry believes that there is little to stop parents from

Ultimately, it is the parents choice.
I m not saying it is healthy, but parents just want the best for their children.
If they believe tuition is the way to go, then there is nothing to stop them, deputy

Puad, however, remained sceptical on whether private tuition centres offered the best

The best kind of tuition allows the child to study one on one with the teacher.
But most centres usually have several students to one teacher. Some centres even
crowd up to 40 students in one class. So, I don t believe they make much of a
difference.

Explain Why Cardinal Richelieu Was The Regent Of Louis
Xiii
Cardinal Richelieu was the regent for Louis XII. A regent is someone who acts for
the king until they are ready to rule. Although, he was a Catholic priest, Richelieu s
first loyalty was towards the crown of France. As the regent of Louis, he had many
goals to secularize the country. His goals were to rid the king of domestic enemies
and make France the dominant player in European power politics.
Cardinal Richelieu s first goal was to secure the king from his domestic enemies
which were the Huguenots and the Nobility. He achieved his goal by decreasing
their power. To start off, he took actions towards the Huguenots. Richelieu s belief
was that Protestantism often served as an excuse for political conspiracies against the

Early Chinese society was ruled by different dynasties. The dynastic rule was an

Informative Speech On Abothi
Abothi is a soldier, he goes to his position every day on the Ugandan front lines. He
brings his gun, his pack and in all it probably weighs around 50 pounds. He hopes
he does not have to kill anyone today, but he can never be sure. Abothi never
wanted to be a soldier, but he was forced to by the people that were now his
commanders. Abothi is only 10 years old, he is forced by terrorist groups to kill
and serve as a soldier for them. They kidnapped him from his home, along with any
siblings, he might have had were all taken from their homes. Abothi is just one of
millions of child soldiers in the Middle East and Africa that are fighting for

Feminist Arguments About Gender Equality
Outline
Premises: (Given) gender has been a point of controversy throughout history. (Given)
controversy leads to differences in viewpoints and interpretations.
Proposition: (Thus) over time, the standpoint used to make arguments about gender
equality has shifted from a humanist to a feminist point of view.
Reasons and Evidence: (Because) humanism and feminism have been different
standpoints for a while. (For example) the terms humanist and feminist cannot be
used in place of one another because they imply different ways of thinking about the
similarity and equality between men and women. (For example) feminist views argue
for equality itself while humanist views argue about the way in which women are
different men to make statements for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Audience: Mainly those interested in feminism, gender equality, or differences in
argumentation style. The author does not assume that her audience is familiar with
the differences between the humanist and feminist standpoints in argumentation and
makes sure to explain the styles at the start of the literature review. The audience
does not need to have any specific knowledge on the subject.
Goal: Demonstrate the difference between the humanist and the feminist standpoints
for arguments of gender equality. Show how over time the favored argumentation
standpoint has shifted from humanism to feminism. Describe how scholars favored
different argumentation styles in different time periods. Help readers be more aware
of the evolution of argumentation regarding gender equality.
Plan: Goes through points gradually in order to make sure the audience understands.
Begins by establishing the difference between humanism and feminism when making
arguments about gender equality. Then moves into the main point regarding the
change in frequency of the argument styles over time. First section focuses on the
differences between humanism and feminism. Second section focuses on the change

Historical Propaganda Research
Throughout the course of humanity s existence, it is seen that change through action
is simply ignited by the power of thought. The ability to think or have a particular
opinion, belief, or idea is the very essence of human nature. Thoughts or human
opinions are instigated from the everyday interaction of beings one s experiences, or
the environment surrounding such. As noted by John Stuart Mill, The only way in
which a humanbeing can make some approach to knowing the whole of a subject is
by hearing what can be said about it by persons of every variety of opinion and
studying all modes in which it can be looked at every characters of mind. No wise
man ever acquired his wisdom in any mode but this . However, humans are

Such revolved around actions toward peace keeping habits, equality in the nation,
and general promotion of progressive stances. To begin with, within the realm of
visual based propaganda tactics, public enthusiasm in the past has been
significantly increased. For example, during 1918 Soviet Russia, artist Dimitri
Moor manipulated the antipathetic countenance of the Bolshevik Era (1917 1921)
and the New Economic Policy (1921 1927). Largely empowered by Moor s work,
disposition of the public was influenced to be largely positive as a result of the stark
contrast depicted between the oppressive evil and the heroic allies. Pressure as a
result was put on Russian workers to rise up against imperialism (Stukoe, 2010) .
Furthermore, in the battle against Nazism political agenda, those in opposition such
as Philip Zec depicted Nazis as snakes and vultures in order to influence the public in
perceiving the sinister side of the German

When America entered into World War II, several major league baseball
executives started a new professional league with women players. They created a
new league in order to maintain baseball in the public eye while the majority of
men were away. The All American Girls Professional Baseball League was
founded by Philip K. Wrigley which existed from 1943 to 1954. During the league s
history, over 600 women played ball. AAGPBL players were recruited from all over
the country and Canada through the Cubs scouting network (Fidler, 2006). Players
hitting, catching, fielding, throwing, and running skills were thoroughly evaluated
before players were invited to regional tryouts or to sign a contract. Forty four

The female apologetic suggests that female athletic involvement is tolerable as
long as traditional notions of femininity are present (Pierman, 2005; Roth
Basow,2004). The AAGPBL had to present femininity to the public by wearing
feminine uniforms, having charm, and code of conduct. The overall look of the
uniform was intended to remind fans that they were not only watching real
baseball, but real girls (Draeger, 1997). Players were issued an 11 page Guide for
All American Girls: How to Look Better, Feel Better, Be More Popular along with
a beauty kit (Charm School). They were given instructions in putting on makeup,
how to get in and out of a car gracefully, how to speak correctly, and how to make
proper conversations in social settings (Fincher, 1989). Clothing guidelines were
issued, as well as a 10 step suggested beauty routine for after the games. Many
females were denied from being able to join the AAGPBL if they looked masculine.
Back then, being labeled masculine as a female meant they did not meet the
expectations of beauty. This raised the question of, whether or not the exclusion of
the masculine looking athletes compromised the power statistics of the league. The
answer to this question still remains unknown because it is controversial. Joining the
All American Girls Professional Baseball League brought a new opportunity for
females. Many females were filling in masculine jobs

1. INTRODUCTION
The Online sources of information are becoming more and more important for the
academic community for their teaching and research. Online journals have revolution
the scholarly and scientific communication since their inception in the late 1980s.
The exponential growths of online journals over the last five years were popular
among scientific information providers, publishers, libraries and information centers.
Current developments in online journals and their institutional licensing and
subscriptions arrangements clearly indicate a rapid revolution.
The libraries first began tracking online journals in 1991 and the Association of

Sherman Alexie Indian
There is beauty to trees. There is softness to air, a rumble to thunder. As well as a
sort of magic to the tone of the pages in a book. Sherman Alexie is a Spokane
American novelist, short story writer, poet, and filmmaker. At an early age, Alexie
fell in love with the words printed on the thin pages of books. His writings formulate
his experiences as an Indigenous American with ancestry from various tribes. In the
article Indian Education and the novel The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time
Indian by Sherman Alexie, the author provides similar and different components of
emotions and experience for the differing purposes of capturing the commotion of
change and addressing the power of self reflection. First and foremost,... Show more

The second example of similar ideas with different purposes occur when Junior has
a realization of hope. You ve been fighting since you were born, he said. You
fought off that brain surgery. You fought off those seizures. You fought off all the
drunks and drug addicts. You kept your hope. And now, you have to take your
hope and go somewhere where other people have hope. (43, The Absolutely True
Diary of a Part Time Indian). And a concluding citation from the non fiction text, I
ran home after school, heard their Indian tears, and looked in the mirror. Doctor
Victor, I called myself, invented an education, talked to my reflection. Doctor
Victor to the emergency room. (107, Indian Education). From the passage above,
one could analyze that in both situations there is a different perspective given to
each message. In the act of one describing the leap of hope given by others, and the
second understood by oneself. The quotes show a beginning to a set of phases in
which the character show a sign of commitment to his passion of success. Junior has
hope, and he hasn t given up, even against major forces conspiring against
Soccer s Influence On My Life
As a Brazilian, soccer plays a significant role in your life since childbirth. Memories
such as going to your first game or the ritualistic bacchanals every game day, are
carved into your very soul. It runs through our blood; we eat, breathe, sleep soccer.
Since an infant I admired PelГ©. Heros have many shapes and sizes, but mine isn t
tall or muscular. Although standing at only 5 8 , PelГ© never came short of
greatness. If he received the ball, he would travel across the field giving the
impression that the ball was glued to his feet and scoring effortlessly. His
accomplishments had a direct impact on my life, influencing me to be the best at
whatever I chose to be, as he was. Hours spent watching PelГ© s soccer videos

Analysis Of La Migra By Pat Mra
In Pat Mora s poem, La Migra, she talks about a game being played. The title of the
poem is the game, but, it is not a game. She gives descriptions on the border patrol
officer and the Mexican woman he is looking for. She lists them separately and
describes their strengths and weaknesses on how to beat one another in this game.
While us readers do not get a definite answer on who wins this game we get a good
sense as to who has the upper hand. By introducing the Mexican maid second, the
way she responds to the officer s remarks, she outsmarts him at his own game. This
can be drawn to a conclusion in which she wins the game and gets away. Pat Mora
uses the perspective of the officer, immigrant, and the image of running from the
officer as a game to receive the audience s attention. As readers of the poem, La
Migra, we can use the theme and relate it to today s feud about police brutality and
injustices. Pat Mora easily obtains the audience s attention by stating that the two
characters will be playing a game. La Migra, is the Spanish translation from border
patrolin English. It is often heard and used in the media to instill fear in immigrants
in the U.S. towards deportation and troubling means. Let s play La Migra (Mora
528) is the first stanza presented in the poem. Having this as the first line, it makes
readers wonder. What game is it? How is it played? What does La Migra mean? (to
non Spanish speakers). It grabs and keeps your attention right form the get go
because it gets you thinking about what game is going to be played and wanting to
find out more of the gameitself along with the rules and players. While continuing
to read, more is introduced and us readers find out what kind of game it is. Then it
bares the question, why would this be considered a game? Immigrants today are
living in constant fear of being deported and taken back to their homeland where
one can assume escaped life there in hopes of a better life in the states. While this is
a real life situation that people deal with daily, the author turns it into a game to
interest the readers more and give insight into what is going on with border patrol.
Mora uses another strategy to keep the reader s interest, and that is by

  • 2. The Characteristics Of Witchcraft In Early Modem Europe Witchcraft in Early Modem Europe was perceived with mixed attitudes by the society. People in the 16th and 17th centuries accepted witchcraft when it worked to help them, but saw it as a satanic practice when it failed. Although it was socially acceptable for people to seek for advice or help from witches, it was taboo for witches to use magicas it was linked to devil worship and other beliefs that went against the Christian faith. Furthermore, women accused of sorcery were often unable to receive a fair trial as demonstrated by the leading questions that were posed and the acts of torture that led to forced confessions. During a period of religious and political turmoil, the Trial of Tempel Anneke illustrates the fact that society was not so much concerned with the truth, but rather convicted these women because of their marginalized role in society caused by social disposition. Furthermore, it can be suggested that while it was acceptable for people to inquire about magic, the law heavily punished those who would practice witchcraft. It is evident that Tempel Anneke displays the typical characteristics of an accused witch an older female figure that was perceived as a burden to society and offered little in return. Anneke was a widower who lost her husband who during the Thirty Years War and depended on her son s financial assistance. Furthermore, she was informally trained by her mother as a naturopathic healer and used her healing skills to help cure people and animals in her community by using herbs and other plants. Anneke had not been accused of witchcraft while her neighbors had hired her for medicinal purposes on a regular basis until the case of Hans Kholer because of the harmful magic she was accused of employing that led to fear and resentment towards her. Lastly, society s perceptions of women during the time furthered their inability to prove their innocence through a fair trial. It was a widely held belief that women were of weak understanding, and are hence more likely to be ensnared by the lies and illusions of the Devil (pg. xxxvi). Society s prejudice towards women, especially elderly women dependent on society, predetermined the fate of the women charged for witchcraft; the court of
  • 3. MГ©tis In Canada After the creation of Manitoba was the mГ©tis were treated in terrible and cruel ways. Canada was viewed as taking advantage of the mГ©tis. After the creation of Manitoba the Europeans believed they were superior to the Metis and many laws were made to just benefit themselves. The mГ©tis had tried to obtain scrips which were basically a piece of paper that could be used to certify possession of land or be exchanged for money. The land scrips would allow the Metis to either claim 160 acres of land or sell it for $160. You could also get money scrips that were either $160 or $240. The problem with scrips is that they were frequently stolen which caused major problems for the mГ©tis as there weren t any names attached to it which meant it was useable to anyone. At... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When the Bison population began to decrease, the Metis economy was affected and they realized they had to take action. In 1873, the Metis of St. Laurent officially wrote down the Laws of St. Laurent, which decreased the number of Bison Hunts. These laws were unjust and cruel to the mГ©tis. Lawrence Clark made decisions that only benefited the HBC and if any Metis dared to complain, he would imprison them. Clark also payed the Metis carriers the bare minimum wage (which was virtually nothing), and made their lives as difficult as possible. Clark suggested, that with the creation of the North West Territories, that a Magistrate should be appointed, later Clark was appointed as the magistrate. His new role as a magistrate made him further more increase his authority, which allowed him to help the HBC even more. The laws of St. Laurent made bison hunt very difficult. In the spring, a group of bison hunters started hunting bison before the official hunting was allowed. The hunters were arrested and fined for hunting too early. Clarke treated the Metis very poorly and the Metis began to ignore the St. Laurent
  • 4. Korean War Effects When the Korean War began, the world was suffering from the aftermath of the World War II and was just getting into the Cold War. During the Cold War era, the Korean War broke out on the Korean peninsula as a result of the tensions between communism and capitalism. Despite Korea s long history and unique culture, it changed hands multiple times. It was, at first, a state belonging to China but then was annexed by Japan in 1910. After the Japanese had won in that war, Japan reinforced its influence in Korea and formally annexed it as a colony in 1910. During World War II, the Allied countries met to discuss what would happen to Korea in the postwar period. In 1943, The People s Republic of China, the United States, and Great Britain decided that once Japan is defeated, all of its colonies, including Korea, will be confiscated. As the war ended in 1945, two American colonels, Dean Rusk and Charles H. Bonesteel III, proposed General Order No. 1, which instructed Japanese forces to surrender to its designated Allied commanders. The U.S. would take responsibility for accepting the surrender of Japanese troops south of the 38th parallel and Soviet troops would receive the surrender north of 38th parallel. Target Corporation s Dealing with a Data Security Breach In 2013, Target Corp., the company that prides itself on offering quality, upscale, and trendy merchandise at lower costs, had anticipated a historic year. However, after purchasing Canadian retailer Zellers 273 locations and finally executing plans to expand outside the United States, both company and stockholder optimism vanished. In late 2013, news of a massive data breach affecting nearly 110 million consumers turned out devastatingly bad numbers in the fourth quarter some experts even calling it the second largest retail cyber attack in history. As the holiday season approached, analysts had expected Target s earnings to be flat compared to the previous year, 2012, when the Minneapolis based retailer posted fourth quarter earnings at $921 million. However, after news of the breach and its ongoing investigation became public, many consumers, uncertain about the extent of the breach, chose to shop with Target s competitors during the holidays. Target s best public relations efforts could not completely ease consumer concerns. Sales in the last week of the holiday season fell by nearly 4 percent, compared to other retailers, which devastated the traditionally strong retailer as holiday sales account for 20 to 40 percent of annual sales. Target ended the quarter with $520 million in earnings, down almost 45 percent from 2012. Breaking News Popular tech security website krebsonsecurity.com first reported a rumored data breach at Target on December 13 after receiving tips

Beauty is an abstract concept, what is beautiful for one person, it might not be for another. This can be seen in all around the world, each country has different perceptions of beauty and this depends on the culture that the country has. There is an article that Business Insider presented in which they talk about a womanthat send her picture to 18 different countries and asked them to edit the photo so they can make her beautiful according to their culture. Some countries have made little changes in her body, making her thinner and taller, other countries made changes on her face which made the women seem like a completely different person. What this experiment showed... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What is beautiful know was not always beautiful, there was a time in history when being thin was considered ugly, a woman s misfortune (Seid 169). Because culture change, what is ask for women now is different, body ideals might be the same but the actual response of women is what is changing nowadays. In the article Ideals of Beauty Need Not Hinder Women. by Raina Kelley, the author reveals surprising statistics of women s response of what society demands from them, And believe it or not, trends in beauty buying back that up. The market research firm NPD released a study in April [2010] that revealed that teens and women are now using beauty products in significantly fewer quantities, down 6 percent from 2008 to 2009 (Kelley). In her article, Kelley talks about how women s mentality is changing, and instead of obeying they are reveling from standards held against them. Women are gaining courage and self confidence to do what they want to do with their lives and body, to please themselves and to look beautiful for themselves. Despite the $20 billion U.S. beauty industry bearing down on us, and all that media implying that one must look like Gisele [BГјndchen, a model] to succeed, girls and women are making extraordinary strides and have done so in a remarkably short period of time (Kelley). Women in today s society do not feel the need to follow stereotypes anymore, they are supporting each other and making sure that no one feels less than anybody because they do not have a slim waist, light skin and a thin body. Women are rebelling against the beauty standards that they always follow and made them insecure and

During the interview it was learned that adolescent health centers play an important role in providing some of the ten essential public health services such as monitoring the healthstatus of a community, informing, educating, and empowering patients on health issues, and mobilizing community partnerships. Adolescents are an underserved population that requires health care services that are often controversial. • 8. Don Giovanni Character Analysis Don Giovanni is an operatic character that plays a womanizer during the 17th century. This was a play first performed in 1789, a successful creation of Mozart and DaPonte. During the play, Don Giovanni represents a sociopath that is lead by his incredible weakness for women. This weakness leads him into darkness, complete with seduction, and murder. Since the beginning, many people have seen Don Giovannias a herobut many others have considered him a villain. The actions of Don Giovanni are not completely heroic neither are they totally villainous. But is noticeable that throughout the play he is more a hero than a villain. In the first act, Don Giovanni is rushing out from Donna Anna s room. She pursues him and calls for help to arrest the man she says raped her. When she is calling for help her father, the Commendatore, comes out and challenges Don Giovanni to a duel to revenge his daughter s honor. Don Giovanni won the duel and now Donna Ana s father is dead. This particular scene is controversial in the play because depicts Don Giovanni as a rapist and as a murder. But this is not clearly convincible. In the first place, the woman is chasing him after he leaves the room which is odd since no woman would chase the man that just raped her. Then the Commendatore was killed in a duel in which he was the challenger. A duel is the fighting between two persons to fix their differences and usually, this kind of battles was legal during the 17th century. Don Giovanni did not

However, Jesus took a different view and called the laws the tradition of men (Mark 7:1 23; Intertestamental Period New Testament Background, 2001). Gentiles outnumbered Jews in Decapolis and Galilee (Intertestamental Period New Testament Background, 2001). • 10. Yu-Gi-Oh Game Analysis 1.In the game of Yu Gi Oh, there is a lot of give and take when it comes to cards. When determining whether a card is good or not, I often look at just the good parts of the effect and not the drawbacks. For example, there is a card called Card of Demise. This card allows you to draw until you have 3 cards in your hand, but you cannot do damage to your opponent for the rest of the turn, you send your entire hand to the Graveyard during the End Phase, and you cannot Special Summon during the turn you activate this card. While there are some clear negatives to the card, I overlook those and really only look at the fact that you can draw up to 3 cards, which is unprecedented in Yu Gi Oh. While the creators of the card, Konami, try to make Card... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One cannot see the Yu Gi Oh community without a glimpse of bandwagon. While in the card game almost anything can be played within the entire 20 year history, people often flock to bandwagoning the quote best decks. It has even gotten to the point where people come up with a Tier List to place decks from best to worst, but these list are subjective. While there is potential for any deck to do well in a tournament, one will see the same decks top because of the numbers that represent those decks at a tournament because of bandwagoning. With groupthink, the community believes those decks to be the best and are the decks that are looked at when it is time to hit cards on the Ban
  • 11. Comcast and Time Warner Cable Merger Most everyone subscribes to some type of cable service. When Comcast announced plans to merge with Time Warner Cable back in February, Congress was quick to criticize the deal (Popelka). Many members of Congress were not in favor of the merger, and rumors of an antitrust review were imminent (Popelka). This is a great example of how U.S. antitrust policy has turned into a political game ( Popelka). Politicians may gain supporters, but no one is going to decrease the cost of cable service to consumers (Popelka). Antitrust laws were put into place for a reason. The Sherman Antitrust Actwas created to prevent monopolistic activities that diminish consumer choice or competition (Popelka). In this case, the merger between these two companies will not take away consumer choice because they operate in different geographies (Popelka). Cable companies are struggling to keep up with the demands of younger consumers who are interested in online services instead of cable (Popelka). Politicians who oppose this merger are using the Herfindahl Hirschman Index (HHI) to evaluate monopolystatus (Popelka). Comcast has found a way around this so they can stay below a mythical 30 percent HHI market share threshold (Popelka). Comcast will be appearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee in April to answer questions about the merger with Time Warner Cable (Carr). Many want to know how it is possible for the largest cable company to acquire the second largest cable company (Carr).
  • 12. The Curriculum And Assessment Framework Over the past decade there have been vast changes to our education system here in Northern Ireland. The revamp of the curriculum is described by CCEA (2007) as a curriculum and assessment framework that is capable of meeting the changing needs of pupils, society and the economy. Despite the review tackling proposals for change across a wide variety of areas within the curriculum, it can be said that it has failed to meet the changing needs of the pupils in terms of learner voice. Rodgers (2005) defines leaner voice as the active opportunity for students to express their opinions and make decisions regarding the planning, implementation and evaluation of their learning experiences. This definition is very fitting to our society today... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are various strategies that can be employed to support pupil voice both within the classroom and whole school context. One of the main up and coming strategies that schools seem to be focusing on is that of a school council. School councils are the easiest way for schools to give pupils their say and make decisions about current issues. School councils are a very tangible manifestation of pupil voice. They can be important in offering a formal, democratic, transparent and accountable whole school forum for pupil participation, linking to the broader governance framework of a school (Alderson 2000:121 34). Surrounding every strategy, there is a widely seen debate about how beneficial or problematic each strategy is. For school councils to be beneficial in promoting pupil voice, there must be a fair representation of all pupils within the school. Levin (1998) described the moral concept surrounding this strategy where democratic practice should lie among the least powerful. The least powerful in our schools are the younger pupils, the quiet pupils and those pupils with SEN. When all individuals are fairly represented the system will lend to adequate and successful learner voice. School councils allow pupils to see first hand how their needs and views will be responded to and how their opinions will be valued by all. They can be contextualised to a classroom environment whereby each class has a council

In Rudolfo Anaya s bildungsroman, Bless Me, Ultima, the struggle between two families and their extreme differences cause numerous conflicts that are constantly present throughout his novel. In this chicano inspired novel, Antonio MarГ©z, the six year old protagonist, is perpetually faced with instances of dissimilarity throughout his life that often make it a challenge to stand out instead of fitting in with the rest of the crowd. When Anaya uses literary elements such as setting his novel as a bildungsroman, symbolism and and imagery it helps intensify the reader s understanding of the novel. Contrasts between good and evil, right and wrong and even teachings within the MarГ©zes own family are a main cause in increasing Antonios level of maturity. Political Communications is a sub field incorporating both political science and communications disciplines; dealing with the production, and distribution of effects of information, both through the use of media interpersonally and within a political context (Norris, 2004). The process operates downwards from governing institutions towards citizens, horizontally in connection among different political actors, and also upwards from general public opinion towards authoritative figures (Norris, 2004). For the sake of this paper, there will be a particular focus on the position of Director of Communications held by Steve Kee at the Insurance Bureau of Canada. 2. Background: Established in 1964, the Insurance Bureau of Canada (also known as the IBC) is the leading national industry organization representing Canada s private home, auto and business insurance (Insurance Bureau of Canada, 2016). The IBC has worked on a number of fronts, by means of increasing public understanding of the different divisions of insurance (Insurance Bureau of Canada, 2016). Its goal is to make communities, both small and large, safer, while championing issues directly affecting Canadians (Insurance Bureau of Canada, 2016). If you were unable to guess, all of these people had a hearing loss. In terms of formal definition, a hearing loss is, a spectrum of disorders causing a disruption or distortion of auditory information reaching or being processed by the central nervous system. Also, a good amount of genetic hearing losses, eighty percent to be exact are autosomal recessive. This means that the parents do not have a hearing loss, but they are carriers. This gives physicians less information that would alert them of an infantile hearing loss. During the elementary years, children with this loss can encounter a variety of obstacles. One big obstacle can occur with the development of reading skills. Since reading and reading comprehension is so important for life this can be a huge setback if it is not met with intensive intervention. According to research, the median reading level for high school graduates with hearing loss falls between fourth and fifth grade. If a child with a loss is able to begin their school years already knowing the alphabet, they will have a much higher chance of being a grade level reader. Knowing the alphabet early on in life is able to increase the phonological awareness that the child has. Their phonological awareness can predict their future reading abilities. Children who are deaf or hard of hearing are known to have troubles when it comes to their social lives especially with their hearing peers. According to Anita, Jones, and Luckner, Individuals who lack social skills are often rejected by others and are at risk for developing mental health problems.

Throughout his career rapper Kanye West, has been portrayed as many different things in the media based on his public appearance and the subject matter of his music. The message he relates in his music is ever changing and often showcases different ideals or stances on issues echoed among different parts of the African Americancommunity. Two such instances of this come from very different periods of Kanye s career, and show two polar opposite opinions of how to deal with arguably the most important social issue in American history. This change in Kanye s way of dealing with racism reflects two differing schools of thought in the African American community. At this point in his life and career Kanye seems to be have a sort of passive aggressive attitude regarding racism, he understands the problem and recognizes it but doesn t seem to feel that fighting back is the best way to deal with it. Patchwork Commentary Patchwork Analysis Eavan Boland s unique poem, Patchwork, allows the reader to be privy to the private thoughts of a persona, presumably the author herself, as she struggles to answer the question of fate or destiny. Throughout the poem, while quilting alone late at night, the speaker puzzles over the randomness of the universe, utilizing the simple quilt metaphor to inspire a final epiphany. Immediately revealing the central theme of the poem as well as alluding to the narrator s apparent self doubt, the first stanza is an imperative aspect of this piece. The speaker begins by stating that she has been thinking at random on the universe, or rather, how nothing in the universe is random . So commences her journey to solve the question: ... Fate determines that the quilt will be made, and so it will be. It guides the woman s hands as her mind once again floats away from reality and begins to explore the metaphysical world. In addition, upon describing her secondhand sewing machine , the narrator further exposes her self depreciating character. In the fifth stanza, the speaker makes inconsiderable progress in solving the crucial question regarding the randomness of the universe. As she realizes the overwhelming number of uncertainties in the universe, the woman chooses instead to concentrate on the task at hand, turning her back...to the dark or the unknowns. However, she is unable to resist the compelling temptation of mystery, and quickly attempts to contemplate the stars and bits of stars and little bits of bits which reside throughout the universe. While the bits in this statement signify randomness, the stars represent the unknown. This symbolism, coupled with the use of repetition and alliteration, emphasize the woman s sheer confusion on the matter at hand. The vast uncertainty of the universe has forced her to consider the possibility of a wholly random universe. The persona s confusion is confirmed through her question: is it craft or art? I was this type of listener because I really tried to fully grasp the idea of the music. I paid close attention to the different tempos and the different volumes of the pieces that were sung. There are so many people who would love to remain youthful, but this is beyond the control of anybody. However, ageing is not a disease, and should not be dreaded. In fact, old people still have so much to offer to the society including the experiences they have accumulated over the years, the wisdom they have learned, and sometimes they even have valuable skills which they can pass on to the younger generations. In fact, it is noteworthy to understand that for the ageing to retire gracefully and not face those challenges, they need to plan their retirement way before they are officially retired so that when they stop working, they already have a plan which will not disrupt them so much from their activities, and, therefore, they are able to transition to a new lifestyle easily. If you were Bob Turley, what might you have done differently during the attack? Normally, a company would follow emergency procedures while dealing with crises, but in iPremier s case, there was no emergency procedure available. Under these circumstances, and with no prior experience with security breaches, I believe the company performed well. Bob Turley communicated well with the other members of the company, but if I were in his shoes, I would have been more conservative and acted faster. In responding to the crisis, there were two main issues that iPremier faced understanding the attack, and restoring order. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... iPremier s procedures were absolutely deficient. They had an outdated emergency manual that employees couldn t find, and almost couldn t access the data center. Additional measures they could have implemented long before the attack include revising the emergency procedure and making sure all employees know how to follow it. 3. Now the attack has ended, what can the iPremier Company do to prepare for another such attack? While I mentioned revising the emergency procedure in the previous question, there are other ways to prepare as well. iPremier could implement a method to escalate unsatisfactory service from Qdata to higher level management; if they switch to a data center with open lines of communication, the next crisis would be easier to handle, or it might even be completely averted. 4. In the aftermath of the attack, what would you be worried about? What actions would you recommend? I would be worried about three issues, including the identity and motivation of the hacker, the amount of data that was taken from iPremier, and public disclosure. Since Bob didn t pull the plug, there is a log documenting what happened during the attack I would start by analyzing the log and trying to solve the first two issues. Public disclosure is a legal matter, yet it affect thee public image of iPremier, so I would consult with both Warren and Stewart to see both PR and legal s perspective on the attack, and formulate a public statement

I m not saying it is healthy, but parents just want the best for their children. If they believe tuition is the way to go, then there is nothing to stop them, deputy education minister Dr Puad Zarkashi said. Puad, however, remained sceptical on whether private tuition centres offered the best education for children. The best kind of tuition allows the child to study one on one with the teacher. But most centres usually have several students to one teacher. Some centres even crowd up to 40 students in one class. So, I don t believe they make much of a difference. • 48. Analysis Of La Migra By Pat Mra In Pat Mora s poem, La Migra, she talks about a game being played. The title of the poem is the game, but, it is not a game. She gives descriptions on the border patrol officer and the Mexican woman he is looking for. She lists them separately and describes their strengths and weaknesses on how to beat one another in this game. While us readers do not get a definite answer on who wins this game we get a good sense as to who has the upper hand. By introducing the Mexican maid second, the way she responds to the officer s remarks, she outsmarts him at his own game. This can be drawn to a conclusion in which she wins the game and gets away. Pat Mora uses the perspective of the officer, immigrant, and the image of running from the officer as a game to receive the audience s attention. As readers of the poem, La Migra, we can use the theme and relate it to today s feud about police brutality and injustices. Pat Mora easily obtains the audience s attention by stating that the two characters will be playing a game. La Migra, is the Spanish translation from border patrolin English. It is often heard and used in the media to instill fear in immigrants in the U.S. towards deportation and troubling means. Let s play La Migra (Mora 528) is the first stanza presented in the poem. Having this as the first line, it makes readers wonder. What game is it? How is it played? What does La Migra mean? (to non Spanish speakers). It grabs and keeps your attention right form the get go because it gets you thinking about what game is going to be played and wanting to find out more of the gameitself along with the rules and players. While continuing to read, more is introduced and us readers find out what kind of game it is. Then it bares the question, why would this be considered a game? Immigrants today are living in constant fear of being deported and taken back to their homeland where one can assume escaped life there in hopes of a better life in the states. While this is a real life situation that people deal with daily, the author turns it into a game to interest the readers more and give insight into what is going on with border patrol. Mora uses another strategy to keep the reader s interest, and that is by
