On February 21, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM I attended, Follow the Drinking Gourd, by
Jonathon McNair at Rudder Theatre. The Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra, the Marian Anderson
String Quartet, and special guest narrator Greg Wise preformed three pieces. These pieces include,
Lyric for Strings, Follow the Drinking Gourd, and, Symphony Number 1. The Brazos Valley
Symphony Orchestra consists of Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Harp,
Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Bass Trombone, Tuba, Percussion, Timpani, and Keyboard. The Marian
Anderson String Quartet uses two violinists, viola, and cello. The first piece is around six minutes
long and is called, Lyric for Strings, by George Walker, the first African American composer to receive
the Pulitzer Prize for Music. The Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra played the piece. Walker was
born on June 27, 1922 and became the first African American to graduate from the Curtis Institute of

Library s, 2016) The Adult Learning Center (ALC) in Flushing offers many services to the flushing
community. Many of the services are focused around the large Asian population in flushing. The
services include, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) conversation groups, Basic Adult
Education (ABE) classes, and ongoing mental health and life coaching services. As a field student in

use of antibiotics along with vaccines had paved the way for the treatment and cure for many of the

The use of antibiotics in medicine today to treat diseases have not all been met with positive
outcomes. As a matter of fact, its relative ease of access and abundance has given rise to a major
problem in creating new strains of bacteria that are able to resist our antibiotics today. Such is the case
for a special type of bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus, a gram positive bacterium with a spherical shape
which in some strains of this particular species has ultimately developed resistance to virtually all
antibiotics we have present today. Staphylococcus aureus is often found on skin surfaces in humans
colonizing about 30% of the human population [1]. They generally are not pathogenic until they enter
inside the body through an open wound or colonize other areas of the body of which they generally
are not found [1]. Staphylococcus aureus commonly cause non fatal skin diseases such as folliculitis,
cellulitis and abscesses however, they can invade the circulatory system and cause a serious infection

A. Plan of Investigation
The investigation aims to evaluate the significance of third party candidates in the US presidential
election of 1892. In 1912, Teddy Roosevelt famously split the vote of the Republican party as a third
party candidate, and the investigation resolves to assess whether a third party candidate changed the
outcome of the election in 1892. The investigation will focus mainly on the influence of one particular
candidate from the Populist Party, James B. Weaver, as he won several electoral votes but will also
include John Bidwell of the Prohibition Party who also drew in votes, although he did not gain an
electoral vote. The candidate from the Socialist Labor Party will be excluded from the investigation as
he did not play a significant role in the election. A focus of the investigation will be of the political
views of those associated with the Populist party and Socialist party as well as why they chose the a
third party ticket over the major party candidates running. Two sources, Populism and Political
Realignment by L. Patrick Hughes and Populist Party Platform (1892) published by the Omaha

There are several differences and alike between traditional ground based teams and virtual teams when
