1. Explain a person s attitude towards visiting Disneyland in Hong Kong in terms of the tri component
model.
A tri component attitude model consists of three major components as affect, cognition and conation.
It is implying that Disneyland in Hong Kong has the unique attraction towards the customer. The first
part of this model refers to cognition that is knowledge and perception that are acquired by a
combination of the attitude object and related information from different sources. With reference to
visiting Disneyland in Hong Kong it is a great place to visit and have a fun with the kids, where
people are able to rest from common daily activities. The cognitive component towards Disneyland is
what people experienced by visiting this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
b) Product manager can change consumer attitude toward the brand by using a broad statement (for
example that only cereal with vitamins and dried fruit or corn are helpful) and or claim. It will allow
to set the brand higher than competitors.
c) People change their attitudes, so companies should be aware of it. They should go forward with
changing environmental. As the current life style attempts to look for healthy food, it could be good
crossing over from the existing to the new ones with dried fruit and some corns.
d) As a production manager I will add such attributes as vitamins to breakfast cereal, making the
product healthier. By adding this new formula it will put the brand higher than the others as the
tendency is to buy healthy products and will change the customers attitude toward the brand.
3. What sources influenced your attitudes about studying buyer behaviour before classes started? Has
your initial attitude changed since the unit started? If so, how?
Social media and discussion with my colleagues had influenced my attitudes about studying buyer

Analysis Of All That Heaven Allows
The development and implementation of 3D in popular cinema shares many similarities with the
introduction of color into films. If we examine the histories of both technologies, Moana s color
analogue is Douglas Sirk s melodrama All That Heaven Allows. In terms of timeline, both come at a
point when the art form is still in between the astonishment and absorption phases of using the
technology. Though All That Heaven Allows was made around fifteen years after the first technicolor
films, the movie is still designed to have the audience notice its beautifully colored shots. Most of the
film s landscapes feel oversaturated and doctored. These exterior shots often feel more like paintings
to appreciate rather than providing context for the film s interior shots. At the same time, color doesn t
define the story and characters in the same way as early Technicolor films like Michael Curtiz s The
Adventures of Robin Hood. In those instances color acted as a constant signal of where we were in the
narrative, and formed strong associations between characters and individual colors. In All That
Heaven Allows, the color schemes don t drastically change to suit the narrative, but they re still far
from fading into the background. Sirk uses color more as an emotional cue, nudging the audience into
feeling the drama of the film. Ultimately, All That Heaven Allows is a film made in the liminal period
between astonishment and absorption of color.
Moana uses 3D in a similar manner to All That Heaven Allows, as a noticeable but ultimately
auxiliary narrative tool. In earlier digital 3D films, negative and positive parallax were used to create
discrete new worlds. Avatar and Coraline were crafted to feel entirely different when the protagonists
ventured into a different environment, similar to the color phases of Robin Hood. Moana, on the other
hand, uses 3D in a way that pervades the entire film. Rather than build new worlds, Moana uses 3D
for the emotional effect, bringing characters and objects towards and away from the audience to make
us feel. Though the purpose of the film is not to showcase 3D technology, we can t help but notice
stuff flying at us during dynamic sequences like How Far I ll Go. Rather than switching

Tim Burton And Edward Sccissorhands
Many a times, society tends to view its outcasts as lonesome, introverted people, who lack happiness
and glee due to their secluded nature. Tim Burton, in part to his eerie film style and the fact that he
sees himself within his characters, reflects upon this idea within his films, often depicting characters
that have these outcast traits. However, Burton contradicts the aforementioned concept by
exemplifying the fact that his protagonists are often happy, full of joy, and very content with
themselves, even though they may be introverts. Therefore, through his use of close ups and
flashbacks, Burton creates the theme that one does not need to conform to society in order to be
pleased and comfortable with himself. Throughout select films, Burton uses close up shots in order to
reveal characters emotions and feelings. For instance, in Edward Scissorhands, during the scene where
the townspeople flock to Edward looking to get their hair cut, a close up shot on his face reveals a grin
emanating from his complexion. The scene establishes the idea that even though Edward has scissors
for hands, and is very different from others within the community, he finds happiness in his own ways,
particularly in ways involving his scissors. He may be an outcast, but he does not feel it is a handicap,
and continues helping others despite being different from them. Additionally, in Charlie and the
Chocolate Factory, Willy Wonka is often spoken about as a delusional person who locked

NFL 50 Green Initiatives
For the last five to ten years, the National Football League (NFL) have become a more
environmentally friendly organization. NFL 50 green initiatives included solar energy, use of
reclaimed water and wood and waste recycling. The Levi s Stadium in San Francisco, that hosted the
Super Bowl 50, is the NFL s first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold
certified stadium endorsing renewable energy. The stadium uses 85% reclaimed water and reclaimed
wood and 64% of all consumer waste and 87% of durable goods in the stadium are recycled. While in
the Super Bowl 49, at the University of Phoenix Stadium, the green initiatives included distributing
food to local food banks, recycling sports equipment, supporting urban forestry projects and the use of
renewable energy. Similarly, the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, host for the Super Bowl 45 is a green
stadium. The stadium is aiming to reduce its solid waste by 25 percent, its energy by 20 percent and its
water consumption by a million gallons annually. On the other hand, the Philadelphia Eagles although

main intent was to address the waste of water, but for people watching the ad to buy the product and
as a result the Colgate toothpaste sales could rise. According to Hayley Cucinello, Forbes contributor,
each company had to pay CBS at least $5 million per 30 seconds of airtime, which proves the logic
behind using the water conservation theme to spark the interest of viewers in Colgate toothpaste while
watching the NFL 50. Regardless the hidden intent, this commercial was good for the environmental

Fidel Castro Influence
Fidel Castro is one of most famous communist dictators that ruled Cuba from 1959 to 2008 and made
Cuba the first communist country in the Western hemisphere. Castro is most known for his time in
power where the relations between Cuba and the U.S. were completely severed, which caused a
complete trade embargo between the two countries and almost resulted in nuclear war during the
Cuban Missile Crisis. Some scholars believe that Castro always sought out good relations with the
U.S, but it was through U.S. aggression that Castro was radicalized into communism and allied with
the Soviet Union whereas the other position held by scholars believe that Castro always planned to
sever relations with the U.S. in order to nationalize the Cuban economy. ... Show more content on

However, there is proof that this is false because in 1953, which were the early years of the Cuban
Revolution, Castro made a speech called History Will Absolve Me, which shows that when Castro was
a political prisoner he carried the teachings of Marxism and Jose Mari everywhere and believed that
the people of the revolution were the workers and peasants that were exploited by the United States.
Also, in Castro s speech History Will Absolve Me, Castro already developed and laid down five
revolutionary principles that called for the nationalization of the Cuban economy, which shows that
Castro s writings in 1953 matched his writings later on about his formative years. This shows that in
the early stages of the Cuban revolution that Castro s ideological beliefs of nationalism found in
Marxism and Jose Marti, match the writings in his later life about his formative years where Castro

Esther Dyson s Cyberspace for All was an article found in the New York Time. Esther delves into
what was an incredibly popular topic at the time in 1995, the government s control over the internet.
Dyson relates the internet to real estate, and a new frontier , she also claims American s love the ideals
of the frontier life. She makes many supported arguments for the government s hand to be removed
from the net, in such, creating a free space for all. She explains that before someone goes online they
are choosing what they want to view, which supports her anti censorship beliefs. Dyson elucidates the
evolution of fathomable communities relation to that of cyberspace and their similarities. Dyson starts

Abstract
There is no way to tell of the thousands of people that have been executed, which were innocent.
Since 1973 more than 150 people have been released from prison with evidence of innocence. Studies
have shown that the death penalty has zero to no effect on violent crimes, and it is an amazing waste
of taxpaying money. They were wrongfully imprisoned due to mistaken eyewitness testimony, faulty
forensic science, and false confession as a result of wrongdoing by the police and finally racial biased.
That was just a minimal list of reasons a case could go wrong. There are many reasons why someone
would be against the death penalty. For example, there are strong religious beliefs that one might have,
the death penalty is and expression of the absolute power of the state. As of October 2015 there have
been over 1,414 individuals in this country alone lethally executed. In the issue of the death penalty it
all goes back to whether the death penalty deters future crime. I feel that one solution to this issue
would be to get rid of the death penalty altogether.
Keywords: death penalty, execution, prison, innocent.
Jailhouse Statistics
A 2009 poll commissioned by the DPIC found police chiefs ranked the death penalty last among ways
to reduce violent crime. It also shows that the death penalty is the least efficient way to spend tax

How Does Theseus Value The Giver
The Greeks valued Theseus nobility and bravery, and even today, his traits would be still be valued.
We live in a world where so much time is spent on building a future for ourselves, that it doesn t give
us much time to be adventurous. This is seen in a number books, including Divergent and The Giver.
Divergent revolves about this character who looked down on for being different in a community
where all is standardized. In The Giver, everything is regulated, but one character has a special gift
which makes him stand out. These books are fairly modern, which makes me believe that Theseus
traits would still be valued. Bravery is not something that is common and sticking to your morals can
be difficult when you live in such an opinionated world.

A Comparison Of Shrek And Siddhartha
Siddhartha and Shrek contain similarities as mono myths; however the story of Shrek is the more
creative work of the two. Both stories are good examples of mono myths, but the appeal of each story
is very different. The audience reading Siddhartha and the audience watching Shrek are most likely
polar opposites. Siddhartha s audience is probably more adults and religiously based. Shrek s audience
is probably more children and family friendly.
Siddhartha is a spiritual and religious novel that is intended to teach the reader about how
Enlightenment may be achieved. The story line follows Siddhartha through his journey to find
Enlightenment for himself. Siddhartha is the son of a wealthy Brahmin. Siddhartha learns the ways of

Since the civil and criminal courts do not hold the profession responsible for its construction of bad
rules, there is a disconnect. The profession has a penchant for creating accounting and auditing rules,
but these rules in fact reduce professional judgment.
Collectivization of judgment by the firm is quite a different matter to Miller. Because the firm suffers
when the individual is hauled before civil or criminal court, the firm has incentives to develop
judgment in its personnel. In addition senior partners can develop the professional judgment of junior
partners by having the junior partners observe the problem solving abilities of senior partners in real
and specific instances. Likewise, junior partners can train managers and so on. The result is a firm that
has a high quality of professional judgment...

calculates the slope coefficient so that the difference between the predicted Yi and actual Yi is
minimized.

The closer that R2 is to 1, the better the fit meaning the group of independent variable could explain
better what happens to the dependent variable. R2 may not be the best estimate at times because if we
add another independent variable to the model the R2 would increase but it does not say necessary the
model becomes better. Therefore some would prefer to look at the adjusted R2 as it would only
increase if the variable used are relevant to the model. Addition of independent variable to the model
would not result in an increase in adjusted R2 if the variables does not improve the model.
We can then look at the T Statistics to see how individual variable can explain the dependent variable,
by doing a T test comparing it with the Critical value T. By doing a 10%,5% or 1% test.
We could also look at the model as a whole by looking at the F Statistics and doing a F test.
With Eviews regression we can simply look at the P Values to see at which level of confidence we can
reject the Hypothesis, From the above 3models, it seems that R2 is highest in model 3, and the
adjusted R2 is also the highest in the model which tells us that the independent variable are better in
explaining the dependent variable. Model 3 is a better regression model. Income per person is a better
independent variable rather than income and population as a variable. Again this goes in line with
economic theory, as income per person increases it would result increase

Maggie A Girl Of The Streets Essay
Maggie A Girl of the Streets is a naturalistic novella by American author Stephen Crane. The story
centers on Maggie, a young girl from New York City who is driven to unfortunate circumstances by
poverty and isolation. This novel includes a lot of Naturalism, which is a literary ideology based of the
ideas of nature vs. nurture. This idea proposed that family, social circumstances and environment
shape human character. As a result, naturalistic writers write stories built on the idea that environment
governs human personality. They also use some of the scientific principles such as Darwin s theory of
evolution that says life is a struggle and the fittest survive. In the novella, Maggie a Girl of the Streets
, Stephen Crane demonstrates how community ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Crane initiates the use of animal imagery in the beginning of Maggie a Girl of the Streets, when he
refers to a line of convicts as a worm: A worm of unknown convicts... (Crane 1). With this comparison
of a convicts and a worm, Crane emphasizes the dirtiness and insignificance of the common people.
Worms are filthy animals that live in the dirt and grime. The link between the convicts and the dirty
worms shows that the convicts are filthy, just like the worms. Worms are also very small and
insignificant creatures. This contrast shows just how little the lives of the public people mean to the
rest of the world. Crane also describes the violence in the community with the use of animal imagery;
They bristled like three roosters...the three frothing creatures on the floor buried themselves in frenzy
for blood (Crane 45). Setting the scene as portraying Jimmy s fight with Pete in a dehumanizing
manner demonstrates how the violence is individualized and common within the community; the
scenes allow the reader to acknowledge the type of violence in Maggie s community. As a result,
Maggie is poorly affected by these

Essay On Is Canada A Just Society
Canada as a Just Society
Canada as a just society has changed a lot throughout the years, Canada has and still is a
discriminative place but I believe it has definitely improved but there are still changes that need to be
made. However,As said Canada has changed for the better andit has improved a lot since her older
days, and not everything will always be perfect, a conflict will always arise and maybe we cannot
always solve the problem. Canadian identity has been working towards a just society but it has been
negatively affected by how they have treated minorities in World War One, with aboriginals in
residential schools, the enactment of the War Measures Act in a time of peace and the continued
LGBTQ discrimination.
Canada before working towards becoming a just society was a very discriminative place. During the
events of World War One,WWI black and Chinese Canadians were prevented from joining the war
along with aboriginals. Women were treated the same at the time, it was common for most women to
stay at home wives and take care of the children. This was the stereotypical family at the time and was
believed to be the ideal family too. Canadians thought poorly of minorities and even claimed it was to
keep them safe, the aboriginals were an example, Canadians claimed the enemies might believe that
they are savages which was a reflection of how they truly felt. Minorities were clearly being treated
worse than the majority, they were seen as inferior and only good for

What Is History Hope For The American Future
American History: Hope for The American Future People look at the future as an opportunity to adjust
their life, because of the things that happened to them in the past. We should not just as one or two
people look at the past, but we all should look back and study on these historical events. As
Americans, we can use historical data or a personal view. People make mistakes everyday, because we
are human and sin is in our nature. Sin is an evil and a corrupt element everyone has. Sin has shaped
the United States in an UnGodly manner. Adam and Eve are historical for not just America to look at
but the whole world. God told Adam and Eve that they had full reign over all of the Garden of Eden,
but one tree. God told them to never eat from that tree as it was the forbidden tree. In Genesis 3:3 God
says, You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch
it, lest you die. That does not have anything to do with American history but is a very helpful event to
study. American history has bountiful events we should look at, I will be giving you some events of

The Importance Of Intrinsic Motivation At Work
As a leader of Sunoco, dealing with this crisis would need to be swift, effective, build sustainability,
remove complacency, snakes, egos and above all, introduce intrinsic rewards; especially, when trying
to retain employees who truly desire a future with the company. Doing so would involve an approach
that requires all hands on deck, from top to bottom, no exception. Training would not be limited to
seniors only, a matter of fact, every employee would be required to receive professional training.
Although intrinsic and extrinsic rewards are relevant (mainly intrinsic), it is imperative that all
employees recognize the strength of their rewards, which leads to finding something meaningful
according to their strength. Organizations experience greater benefits when intrinsic rewards are
present; hence, my reason for saying mainly intrinsic. Intrinsic rewards represent the way a person
feel, their burning desire to explore avenues of creativity and support and not viewing monetary
rewards as a primary benefit. It includes: a sense of meaningfulness, sense of choice, sense of
competence and a sense of progress. The following has been said by Thomas in the book Intrinsic
Motivation at Work:
1. All four rewards are accompanied by increased positive emotions about work and by decreased
negative emotions. (Thomas, 2009, pg. 68)
2. Across all organizational levels, people who score higher on the intrinsic rewards report higher
satisfaction with their professional development.

Before Lincoln was inaugurated in 1861, the Confederate States of America had been formed. Lincoln
sent ships to supply Fort Sumter; he was hoping the Union would quickly win. However, after the
Union s defeat at the Battle of Bull Run, Lincoln was forced to send 500,000 more troops into the war.
(History.com Staff. Abraham Lincoln. History.com, A E Television Networks.) In 1863 he gave the
Emancipation Proclamation which freed all slaves in the Confederacy. Later that year, he gave the
Gettysburg Address, one of the most well known speeches in American history, to encourage the
Union to keep fighting. The Union won the war on April 9, 1865 when Robert E. Lee surrendered.

Government spending on NASA
Around the nineteen fifties to nineteen the world experienced a drastic change in innovations and
technological development; however, the rate of change has had an iota to no change since then. One
of the most recognizable changes is the computer, computers were developed to process calculations
faster and more accurately to give a country an edge in the space race. Another recognizable change is
the Global Positioning System, GPS, which is used worldwide today. Of course, there has been
countless innovations since then, not to mention discoveries that affect how we view the world. The
government should increase its funding to NASA, to help in the discovery of things that can change
the world forever.

In NASA and the Federal Government Waste Taxpayer Money, Douglas Cobb, a writer for Guardian
liberty Voice, explains how NASA spent millions of taxpayer dollars to maintain more than thirty
underutilized facilities. (Cobb). In other words NASA is using taxpayer money to maintain launch
pads that have not been used since the shuttle program. While this fact is true, there is; however,
several valid reasons for this lapse of use. Even though there are several facilities that have most likely
gone unused since the Apollo program, we have to recall that the federal government tells NASA what
their current mission is, which dictates what facilities are used. An example of this is the rocket test
stand that would have been used for the Constellation program, this program was canceled by Obama
when it was near its completion (Cobb). As such, we can concur that while certain facilities are not
used presently, that they may be used in the future, and thus are not a waste of taxpayer

The Digitial Millenium Copyright Act Essay
The Digitial Millenium Copyright Act As current lawsuits unfold and the history of the Internet
progresses, the debate over the future of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act thrives. The Digital
Millennium Copyright Act, signed into law by President Clinton on October 28, 1998, was written in
an attempt to strike a balance between the rights of a work s creator to receive adequate compensation
and society s fundamental right to freedom of information. The bottom line is that the objective of the
Digital Millennium Copyright Act is to prohibit all Internet users from accessing copyrighted
materials on the Internet. The most renowned case where this is currently happening is A M Records,
Inc v. Napster Inc (Downing 2). The reason the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The current court case and ensuing media battle are accomplishing little in the way of creating real
long term solutions to online piracy (Frankel 1). The only way to get to the core of the issue and really
understand the Digital Millennium Copyright Act is to get a little bit of a background on copyright
itself.
Almost three hundred years ago, England was the first country to formally establish the first copyright
laws in what they called, the Statute of Anne. The rationale behind establishing the world s first
copyright laws was supposedly to protect the rights of the consumer. The Statute of Anne was created
with the title of an act for the encouragement of learning, although works, such as books, were not
considered valuable pieces of art that should be protected. Instead, they were considered valuable
commodities to profit from. When the United States Constitution was first being written in 1787, our
founding fathers recognized that everyone would benefit if creative people were encouraged to create
new intellectual and artistic works. The framers of the Constitution admired the Statute of Anne and
took care to include a copyright clause (Article 1 Section 8) giving congress the power to promote the
progress of science and useful arts by passing laws that give creative artists (labeled authors in the
constitution) the exclusive

The Great Storm Essay
The Great Storm
At the edge of the 19th century, Galveston, Texas was roaring with a occupancy of roughly 40,000
residents. Galveston had become a flourishing commercial port since the city s founding in 1839. The
Island had surmounted countless tropical storms, which the city survived each time but on September
8, 1900, the storm that would change everything crashed down.
The 1900 s storm came to town with devastating winds reaching up to 130 140 miles per hour and
storm surges that climbed to 15 feet. The death toll climbed each moment making the hurricane the
deadliest natural disaster in U.S. history so far. Approximately 20% of Galveston s population was
named dead, which would equal out to a little over 8,000 people. Thirty six hundred ... Show more

This unaware city and citizens were battered by winds and tremendous swells until it was completely

and earned it the name The Great Storm of 1900.The Galveston storm was first detected on August 27
in the tropical Atlantic. On September 3, it reached Cuba and dropped heavy rains. According to
HurricaneScience.com, columnist Ken Mendall states The US Weather Bureau ignored reports from
Cuban meteorologists as they expected the storm to re curve to northeast along the US east coast and
eventually exit into the Atlantic. However a region of high pressure pushed the storm west into the
Gulf of Mexico, where conditions were ideal to strengthen the storm and turn it into a devastating
hurricane. This being said, when they did realize the storm was coming, they tried to alert the
surrounding areas to get to higher ground but many tourists and occupants of the island declined

Astronomers Analyze Electromagneti Emissions of Stars and...
In order to glean information about stars, astronomers analyze electromagnetic emissions, or the light,
that reaches Earth. A spectroscope is basically a device that focuses a beam of light through a prism,
which divides the light into characteristic colors that can then be seen using an eyepiece or screen. The
resulting spectrum is used to determine the chemical composition of stars. The lines on the spectrum,
or spectral lines, are associated with known elements. In 1868, an unknown element was discovered
and given the name helium. It was almost thirty years before the element would be detected on Earth
(McMillan, 2011). The accepted classification scheme is a combination of two, the Harvard system

For about another thirty million years, the star continues to contract and its central density, central
temperature, and surface temperature increase; then it is a main sequence star where pressure and
gravity are balanced and nuclear energy is being generated in the core. It takes forty to fifty million
years for a star to reach this stage. The Sun is a main sequence star (McMillan, 2011). Stars spend
approximately eighty percent of their lives on the main sequence before evolving into something else.
A star leaves the Main Sequence when it has exhausted most of the hydrogen in its core, which causes
it to lose equilibrium. It begins to contract again as radiation and thermal pressure decrease, and
gravity dominates. Even though core hydrogen fusion ceases, energy is still generated in the core
because of gravitational contraction. While the Main Sequence is the hydrogen core fusion stage, the
first stage after the Main Sequence is the hydrogen shell fusion stage of a star s life. During the
hydrogen shell fusion stage, the nuclear fusion rate is considerably greater than during the Main
Sequence. Changes in the outer layers of a star occur as the internal changes are happening. Increased
pressure causes enormous expansion in the outer layers of the star, which leads to them cooling
because they are farther away from the core. Visible

The Consequences Of Designer Babies
There are sometimes immediate or later consequences as a result of an action. Therefore, with the
creation of designer babies, it may lead to major or minor changes. What may happen in the present,
may impact the future. An important concern was that genetic screening and modification could be
used as the tools of new eugenics, a popular theory during the early twentieth century that sought to
remove from the population traits labeled undesirable (Lerner, 2012, para. 10). The main purpose of
designer babies was to create healthier and improved babies, but it may lead to disparity in health.
People who did not undergo this procedure will not be on the same level to those who did; thus, may
lead to discrimination of non designer babies. Therefore,

A Brief Note On Cyberbullying And Its Effects On Society
Brandon Hughes
Professor Moore
English 101

Cyberbullying
Three hundred likes on Instagram. A hundred retweets on Twitter. Ten million views on YouTube.
These are some common social media networks in our society used by all ages and sadly valued more
than they should be. The growth of technology use in young adults, mostly teenagers, has improved
extensively over the past few years resulting in new problems. Nearly 43% of kids have been bullied
online. 1 in 4 has had it happen more than once (www.DoSomething.org). Before internet bullying
was to the extent of picking on each other, name calling or fist fights, Cyberbullying takes bullying to
another level. This topic is of huge controversy in schools across the nation, political debates, the
president of the United States has even given speeches on it. Many people believe cyberbullying has
no long term affect on victims yet cyberbullying is number three on the charts for cause of deaths
among teenagers and adolescents (BullyingStatistics.org). Social Media can give teenagers and young
adults confidence that may not always be used in the best way. They can hide behind a screen and say
hurtful things they d never have the audacity to say to a person face to face because they re scared to.
This is a huge problem and needs to be stopped completely.

What Are The Three Categories Of Autism Impairs...
Specifically, autism impairs communication and social collaboration. Particularly, there are three
categories of Autism Spectrum Disorder. The three categories of autism are classified by the severity
of the symptoms. The category most people associate autism with is Autistic Disorder. Many times
this form of autism is referred to as classic autism. Autistic Disorder symptoms include speech
suspensions, strange behaviors and interests, as well as academic impairments. Another form of
autism includes Asperger Syndrome. This form of autism deals with symptoms similar to Autistic
Disorder, however they are not as severe. Unlike Autistic Disorder, individuals who have Asperger
Syndrome rarely have speech and intellectual impairments. Therefore,

Romeo And Juliet Sacrifice
True love is worth the sacrifice of family and friends. From a young age, you are taught to love your
family and friends to the fullest extent so as to not lose them. Now, let s introduce a new element,
romantic love. This person is your world, life couldn t be the same without them. They re the reason
you carry on. This love is much different than platonic love in which you share with a family. This
love makes you do crazy things. Perhaps it can be argued that platonic love is stronger than every
other kind there is. I stand by many others when I say that you cannot replace that true love you feel
with your soulmate, you can only try. Family, although it might rough, is interchangeable especially
considering your true love is family and that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The only issue with the two being together is the the feuds among the households the two live under.
If they are to be together, it would be almost like betraying their families. In the following quote
reasons with herself whether she could truly love a Montague. My only love sprung from my only
hate! Too early seen unknown , and known too late! Prodigious birth of love it is to me that I must

The internal conflict within Juliet is immediately obvious, yet she appears to be set on her love for
Romeo and betraying her family if it means walking alongside him. In act II of the play, Romeo finds
himself directly beneath Juliet as she confesses her love to him whilst being unaware that she has
made him her confidante. During this one sided conversation, it is made very clear that Juliet wishes
to spend the rest of her life with Romeo. Eventually, Romeo reveals that he had been listening in on
her outspoken thoughts. This leads to one proposing that they are married tomorrow even with all the
risks. ... If thy bent of love honorable, thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow, (Shakespeare,
407). Just this proposal alone demonstrates that their love is strong enough for them to leave their

Martin Luther King Jr Legacy Essay
What would life be like if there was no one who stood up for equal rights for the African Americans?
There would be no equality, there would still be slaves all over the United States. Those men and
women who fought and argued over this issue were big influences on the way the country runs now.
One individual who did not give up what he believed in was Martin Luther King Jr. He didn t do it
alone, he encouraged others to stand up and fight back as well right along next to him. Martin Luther
King Jr. was a leader that left a legacy in the history of the United States because he ended the terror

Leadership Is Intangible, And Therefore No Weapon Ever...
As an Air Force ROTC cadet, I am required to learn a number of quotes during my training. One from
General Omar Bradley connects to what I have learned as a student in Exploring Strengths:
Leadership is intangible, and therefore no weapon ever designed can replace it. Although my strengths
are intangible, gaining an understanding of what they are and how I can develop them not only gives
me a weapon against mediocrity, this knowledge of my strengths will assist me in becoming the kind
of officer, leader and person I want to be. My first strength is Relator. Relators want to make
connections on a deep level with people. This strength values the intimacy of relationships. It allows
you to draw strength from being around your close friends and family. This past July, my Relator
strength was very valuable to me as I went to Air Force ROTC Field Training, which is essentially the
officer equivalent of basic training. During this difficult 24 day experience, my Relator strength
helped me form strong bonds with my entire flight of seventeen cadets within the first few days. My
second strength is Harmony. This strength focuses on keeping people out of arguments so that the
whole group can work more successfully. Part of this strength is also having the patience and
flexibility to change your goals if arguing about them will damage the effectiveness of the group.
Those with the strength of Harmony are able to find what brings people together and use it effectively.

Sacco And Vanzetti Trial
Known anarchists during the Red Scare that followed the Russian Revolution and Italian immigrants
during an era of rampant xenophobia, Sacco and Vanzetti were convenient scapegoats (Finkel 1). This
quote is from the article written by Finkel it discusses how the case has been looked over again. Sacco
and Vanzetti were italian immigrants and known anarchists that were convicted for the crime of a
paymaster and his guard. Rampant xenophobia is defined as an irrational fear against foreigners. Since
america was in the mindset of xenophobia it was easy to blame Sacco and Vanzetti for the crime. The

jury think about the possibility of Tom being innocent. In Atticus s closing statement it says, The truth
is this: some negroes lie, some negroes are immoral...But this is a truth that applies to the human race
(Lee 273). Since there was a stereotype that all blacks were bad Tom was easily found guilty. Which
the truth is really that not all bad people are black and not all black people are bad. While in jail Tom
is almost attacked by other community members. They go to his jail cell, but Atticus was waiting for
them. The book says, They gone? ... Get some sleep Tom. They won t bother you any more (Lee 206).
Atticus was waiting for them to show up, so he could defend Tom. They came to kill Tom and take the
law into their own hands. They didn t want the chance of having him get out since they just assumed
he was guilty since he was black. There were some people who reacted to Tom s trial as people

  • 2. consumer Essay 1. Explain a person s attitude towards visiting Disneyland in Hong Kong in terms of the tri component model. A tri component attitude model consists of three major components as affect, cognition and conation. It is implying that Disneyland in Hong Kong has the unique attraction towards the customer. The first part of this model refers to cognition that is knowledge and perception that are acquired by a combination of the attitude object and related information from different sources. With reference to visiting Disneyland in Hong Kong it is a great place to visit and have a fun with the kids, where people are able to rest from common daily activities. The cognitive component towards Disneyland is what people experienced by visiting this ... As the current life style attempts to look for healthy food, it could be good crossing over from the existing to the new ones with dried fruit and some corns. d) As a production manager I will add such attributes as vitamins to breakfast cereal, making the product healthier. • 3. Analysis Of All That Heaven Allows The development and implementation of 3D in popular cinema shares many similarities with the introduction of color into films. If we examine the histories of both technologies, Moana s color analogue is Douglas Sirk s melodrama All That Heaven Allows. In terms of timeline, both come at a point when the art form is still in between the astonishment and absorption phases of using the technology. Though All That Heaven Allows was made around fifteen years after the first technicolor films, the movie is still designed to have the audience notice its beautifully colored shots. Most of the film s landscapes feel oversaturated and doctored. These exterior shots often feel more like paintings to appreciate rather than providing context for the film s interior shots. At the same time, color doesn t define the story and characters in the same way as early Technicolor films like Michael Curtiz s The Adventures of Robin Hood. In those instances color acted as a constant signal of where we were in the narrative, and formed strong associations between characters and individual colors. In All That Heaven Allows, the color schemes don t drastically change to suit the narrative, but they re still far from fading into the background. Sirk uses color more as an emotional cue, nudging the audience into feeling the drama of the film. Ultimately, All That Heaven Allows is a film made in the liminal period between astonishment and absorption of color. Moana uses 3D in a similar manner to All That Heaven Allows, as a noticeable but ultimately auxiliary narrative tool. In earlier digital 3D films, negative and positive parallax were used to create discrete new worlds. Avatar and Coraline were crafted to feel entirely different when the protagonists ventured into a different environment, similar to the color phases of Robin Hood. Moana, on the other hand, uses 3D in a way that pervades the entire film. Rather than build new worlds, Moana uses 3D for the emotional effect, bringing characters and objects towards and away from the audience to make us feel. Though the purpose of the film is not to showcase 3D technology, we can t help but notice stuff flying at us during dynamic sequences like How Far I ll Go. Rather than switching ... • 4. Tim Burton And Edward Sccissorhands Many a times, society tends to view its outcasts as lonesome, introverted people, who lack happiness and glee due to their secluded nature. Tim Burton, in part to his eerie film style and the fact that he sees himself within his characters, reflects upon this idea within his films, often depicting characters that have these outcast traits. However, Burton contradicts the aforementioned concept by exemplifying the fact that his protagonists are often happy, full of joy, and very content with themselves, even though they may be introverts. Therefore, through his use of close ups and flashbacks, Burton creates the theme that one does not need to conform to society in order to be pleased and comfortable with himself. Throughout select films, Burton uses close up shots in order to reveal characters emotions and feelings. For instance, in Edward Scissorhands, during the scene where the townspeople flock to Edward looking to get their hair cut, a close up shot on his face reveals a grin emanating from his complexion. The scene establishes the idea that even though Edward has scissors for hands, and is very different from others within the community, he finds happiness in his own ways, particularly in ways involving his scissors. He may be an outcast, but he does not feel it is a handicap, and continues helping others despite being different from them. Additionally, in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Willy Wonka is often spoken about as a delusional person who locked ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

NFL 50 green initiatives included solar energy, use of reclaimed water and wood and waste recycling. The Levi s Stadium in San Francisco, that hosted the Super Bowl 50, is the NFL s first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certified stadium endorsing renewable energy. The stadium uses 85% reclaimed water and reclaimed wood and 64% of all consumer waste and 87% of durable goods in the stadium are recycled. While in the Super Bowl 49, at the University of Phoenix Stadium, the green initiatives included distributing food to local food banks, recycling sports equipment, supporting urban forestry projects and the use of renewable energy. Similarly, the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, host for the Super Bowl 45 is a green stadium. Colgate marketers knew that millions of people watch the Super Bowl so I do not believe the main intent was to address the waste of water, but for people watching the ad to buy the product and as a result the Colgate toothpaste sales could rise. According to Hayley Cucinello, Forbes contributor, each company had to pay CBS at least $5 million per 30 seconds of airtime, which proves the logic behind using the water conservation theme to spark the interest of viewers in Colgate toothpaste while watching the NFL 50. Castro is most known for his time in power where the relations between Cuba and the U.S. were completely severed, which caused a complete trade embargo between the two countries and almost resulted in nuclear war during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Some scholars believe that Castro always sought out good relations with the U.S, but it was through U.S. aggression that Castro was radicalized into communism and allied with the Soviet Union whereas the other position held by scholars believe that Castro always planned to sever relations with the U.S. in order to nationalize the Cuban economy. ... Also, in Castro s speech History Will Absolve Me, Castro already developed and laid down five revolutionary principles that called for the nationalization of the Cuban economy, which shows that Castro s writings in 1953 matched his writings later on about his formative years. This shows that in the early stages of the Cuban revolution that Castro s ideological beliefs of nationalism found in Marxism and Jose Marti, match the writings in his later life about his formative years where Castro claimed that he was always a ... • 8. The Death Penalty Is An Amazing Waste Of Taxpaying Money... Final Judgment Death Row Keyaunta Stewart Northwestern State University CJ 2400 American Courts Mr. Frank Hall March 24, 2016 Abstract There is no way to tell of the thousands of people that have been executed, which were innocent. Since 1973 more than 150 people have been released from prison with evidence of innocence. Studies have shown that the death penalty has zero to no effect on violent crimes, and it is an amazing waste of taxpaying money. They were wrongfully imprisoned due to mistaken eyewitness testimony, faulty forensic science, and false confession as a result of wrongdoing by the police and finally racial biased. That was just a minimal list of reasons a case could go wrong. There are many reasons why someone would be against the death penalty. For example, there are strong religious beliefs that one might have, the death penalty is and expression of the absolute power of the state. As of October 2015 there have been over 1,414 individuals in this country alone lethally executed. In the issue of the death penalty it all goes back to whether the death penalty deters future crime. I feel that one solution to this issue would be to get rid of the death penalty altogether. Keywords: death penalty, execution, prison, innocent. We live in a world where so much time is spent on building a future for ourselves, that it doesn t give us much time to be adventurous. This is seen in a number books, including Divergent and The Giver. Divergent revolves about this character who looked down on for being different in a community where all is standardized. In The Giver, everything is regulated, but one character has a special gift which makes him stand out. These books are fairly modern, which makes me believe that Theseus traits would still be valued. This is because OLS minimizes SUM ê2 , the residual , ê, is the difference between the actual Yi and the predicted Yi and has zero mean. In other words, OLS calculates the slope coefficient so that the difference between the predicted Yi and actual Yi is minimized. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The closer that R2 is to 1, the better the fit meaning the group of independent variable could explain better what happens to the dependent variable. R2 may not be the best estimate at times because if we add another independent variable to the model the R2 would increase but it does not say necessary the model becomes better. Therefore some would prefer to look at the adjusted R2 as it would only increase if the variable used are relevant to the model. Addition of independent variable to the model would not result in an increase in adjusted R2 if the variables does not improve the model. We can then look at the T Statistics to see how individual variable can explain the dependent variable, by doing a T test comparing it with the Critical value T. By doing a 10%,5% or 1% test. We could also look at the model as a whole by looking at the F Statistics and doing a F test. With Eviews regression we can simply look at the P Values to see at which level of confidence we can reject the Hypothesis, From the above 3models, it seems that R2 is highest in model 3, and the adjusted R2 is also the highest in the model which tells us that the independent variable are better in explaining the dependent variable. Model 3 is a better regression model. Income per person is a better independent variable rather than income and population as a variable. • 14. Maggie A Girl Of The Streets Essay Maggie A Girl of the Streets is a naturalistic novella by American author Stephen Crane. The story centers on Maggie, a young girl from New York City who is driven to unfortunate circumstances by poverty and isolation. This novel includes a lot of Naturalism, which is a literary ideology based of the ideas of nature vs. nurture. This idea proposed that family, social circumstances and environment shape human character. As a result, naturalistic writers write stories built on the idea that environment governs human personality. They also use some of the scientific principles such as Darwin s theory of evolution that says life is a struggle and the fittest survive. Crane initiates the use of animal imagery in the beginning of Maggie a Girl of the Streets, when he refers to a line of convicts as a worm: A worm of unknown convicts... (Crane 1). With this comparison of a convicts and a worm, Crane emphasizes the dirtiness and insignificance of the common people. Worms are filthy animals that live in the dirt and grime. The link between the convicts and the dirty worms shows that the convicts are filthy, just like the worms. Worms are also very small and insignificant creatures. This contrast shows just how little the lives of the public people mean to the rest of the world. Crane also describes the violence in the community with the use of animal imagery; They bristled like three roosters...the three frothing creatures on the floor buried themselves in frenzy for blood (Crane 45). Essay On Is Canada A Just Society Canada as a Just Society Canada as a just society has changed a lot throughout the years, Canada has and still is a discriminative place but I believe it has definitely improved but there are still changes that need to be made. However,As said Canada has changed for the better andit has improved a lot since her older days, and not everything will always be perfect, a conflict will always arise and maybe we cannot always solve the problem. Canadian identity has been working towards a just society but it has been negatively affected by how they have treated minorities in World War One, with aboriginals in residential schools, the enactment of the War Measures Act in a time of peace and the continued LGBTQ discrimination. Canada before working towards becoming a just society was a very discriminative place. During the events of World War One,WWI black and Chinese Canadians were prevented from joining the war along with aboriginals. Women were treated the same at the time, it was common for most women to stay at home wives and take care of the children. This was the stereotypical family at the time and was believed to be the ideal family too. Canadians thought poorly of minorities and even claimed it was to keep them safe, the aboriginals were an example, Canadians claimed the enemies might believe that they are savages which was a reflection of how they truly felt. What Is History Hope For The American Future American History: Hope for The American Future People look at the future as an opportunity to adjust their life, because of the things that happened to them in the past. We should not just as one or two people look at the past, but we all should look back and study on these historical events. As Americans, we can use historical data or a personal view. People make mistakes everyday, because we are human and sin is in our nature. Sin is an evil and a corrupt element everyone has. Sin has shaped the United States in an UnGodly manner. Adam and Eve are historical for not just America to look at but the whole world. God told Adam and Eve that they had full reign over all of the Garden of Eden, but one tree. God told them to never eat from that tree as it was the forbidden tree. In Genesis 3:3 God says, You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die. The Importance Of Intrinsic Motivation At Work As a leader of Sunoco, dealing with this crisis would need to be swift, effective, build sustainability, remove complacency, snakes, egos and above all, introduce intrinsic rewards; especially, when trying to retain employees who truly desire a future with the company. Doing so would involve an approach that requires all hands on deck, from top to bottom, no exception. Training would not be limited to seniors only, a matter of fact, every employee would be required to receive professional training. Although intrinsic and extrinsic rewards are relevant (mainly intrinsic), it is imperative that all employees recognize the strength of their rewards, which leads to finding something meaningful according to their strength. Organizations experience greater benefits when intrinsic rewards are present; hence, my reason for saying mainly intrinsic. Intrinsic rewards represent the way a person feel, their burning desire to explore avenues of creativity and support and not viewing monetary rewards as a primary benefit. It includes: a sense of meaningfulness, sense of choice, sense of competence and a sense of progress. The following has been said by Thomas in the book Intrinsic Motivation at Work: 1. All four rewards are accompanied by increased positive emotions about work and by decreased negative emotions. (Thomas, 2009, pg. 68) 2. Across all organizational levels, people who score higher on the intrinsic rewards report higher satisfaction with their professional development. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Creating and implementing a reading/writing lesson for this course, took some extra care and a planning. Using literacy based instruction practices in combination with STEM education proved to be very helpful as well as engaging to my students. I feel this lesson motivated students to read more informational texts. By reading this story, students were intrigued about the other different kinds of boats there are and how they are made and work. This also encouraged students to use a fictional text to learn about real world items. One student asked what other kinds of books we could read to inspire us to build things. Almost three hundred years ago, England was the first country to formally establish the first copyright laws in what they called, the Statute of Anne. The rationale behind establishing the world s first copyright laws was supposedly to protect the rights of the consumer. The Statute of Anne was created with the title of an act for the encouragement of learning, although works, such as books, were not considered valuable pieces of art that should be protected. Instead, they were considered valuable commodities to profit from. When the United States Constitution was first being written in 1787, our founding fathers recognized that everyone would benefit if creative people were encouraged to create new intellectual and artistic works. A spectroscope is basically a device that focuses a beam of light through a prism, which divides the light into characteristic colors that can then be seen using an eyepiece or screen. The resulting spectrum is used to determine the chemical composition of stars. The lines on the spectrum, or spectral lines, are associated with known elements. For about another thirty million years, the star continues to contract and its central density, central temperature, and surface temperature increase; then it is a main sequence star where pressure and gravity are balanced and nuclear energy is being generated in the core. It takes forty to fifty million years for a star to reach this stage. The Sun is a main sequence star (McMillan, 2011). Stars spend approximately eighty percent of their lives on the main sequence before evolving into something else. A star leaves the Main Sequence when it has exhausted most of the hydrogen in its core, which causes it to lose equilibrium. It begins to contract again as radiation and thermal pressure decrease, and gravity dominates. Even though core hydrogen fusion ceases, energy is still generated in the core because of gravitational contraction. While the Main Sequence is the hydrogen core fusion stage, the first stage after the Main Sequence is the hydrogen shell fusion stage of a star s life. During the hydrogen shell fusion stage, the nuclear fusion rate is considerably greater than during the Main Sequence.
