Music Therapy Should Not Be Considered A Therapy
It is surprising to realize the practice of one small therapy could impact the world in a big and positive
way. Music therapy is the practice of using music to better the lives of people with motor, cognitive,
and speech disabilities, along with surgical patients. This is achieved by redirecting neural networks in
the brain with certain types of music selected for that specific patient. This is not a field for every
musician however, only educated students who are board certified should practice music therapy for
the safety for the patients. Although many people believe music therapy should not be considered a
therapy, it should be considered a mainstream beneficial medical practice and used worldwide. It
greatly increases the education of mentally disabled children, surgical patients have a safer option for
pain reduction, and it creates employment for people who are interested in a career dealing with
music.
Music therapy is the clinical and evidence based use of music interventions to accomplish
individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by an accredited professional who as completed
an approved music therapy program. Music therapists hope that scientific research continues to define
how their work differs from entertainment, and how it benefits patients as much as other more familiar
complementary therapies such as art therapy. (Mellskog) This shows how even though there is little
research and evidence on music therapy, it is still very effective and a

Film Analysis Of SinginIn The Rain
Singin in the Rain is a charming, film musical about two silent film actors, a pianist, and a chorus girl,
tackling the transition from silent films to talking films in 1920 s Hollywood. With talking films on
the rise, this group must conjure up a way to save their latest silent film before The Jazz Singer and
talkies take over and shut them down. This movie is one of the most beloved, classic films of all time.
This film, co directed by the leading male, Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen, follows the beloved and
famous silent actors and on screen couple, Don Lockwood (Gene Kelly) and Lina Lamont (Jean
Hagen). Don has worked exceptionally hard to become as successful as he is today with the help of his
lifetime friend and partner, Cosmo (Donald O Connor). When Don and Lina s latest film is
transformed into a musical in order to be saved, Don has the voice for it, however, his on screen love
interest, Lina does not. This gives Don the opportunity to bring in Kathy Seldon (Debbie Reynolds),
his off screen love interest and aspiring actress with a beautiful voice to replace Lina s horrid
croaking. The only problem is Lina, will she continue to climb her way up to the talking pictures
while taking everyone else down with her lack of talent, or will she step aside for the good of all and
let Kathy take her place both on the silver screen and in the heart of Don Lockwood? Now, because
this film is a musical, it is filled with an abundance of dance sequences which also means it is

Sample Case Study Of Nyla Yaites
Introduction Nyla Yaites is an African American female, four years and eleven months of age. Nyla
was chosen for this case study because she seems to be a very interesting young girl. We attend the
same church and she has always greeted me with a pleasant smile and hug. Nyla appears to have a
sophisticated vocabulary, playful character, and seems to be well behaved for a four year old. I am
very excited about observing her for this case study. Since she was two years old, Nyla has attended
preschool at Saintsville Prep Academy. According to her teacher, she has learned her colors and
alphabet. Nyla has already mastered spelling her name. She loves playing pretend house and school.

returned to gymnastics happy. Both of Nyla s parents normally accompany her to dance/gym glass. It
has been suggested that fathers attachment role during the preschooler years helps to challenge the
child in a supportive context that complements the mother s role in caring and comforting (Roggman
et al. 2002). Nyla s teacher also indicated that when Nyla gets too hot playing she will take a break
and hold conversations with teachers. Once she is cooled off, she is back to playing with her friends. It
seems that Nyla is knowledgeable enough to when her body needs to take a break, and she indicates
that she is mature enough to know when she is physically ready to return to play without abusing this
break. Reflective Summary and

The Origins Of Christianity And Christianity
Christianity is one of the most common religions of the world and was founded in the early stages of
time as we know it. Christianity was formed by the power of one man, Jesus Christ, whose life was
unexplainably different from anyone else s of his time. The influences of his character, beliefs,
customs, and teachings, are the foundation of the religion today. Throughout time and as more
knowledge was gained and received, the customs of the religion changed and new smaller groups
broke free from tradition and formed themselves into their own organizations. Every event that
happened shaped the religion, but the messiah or better known as the Son of God, played the most
important role. Jesus Christ born circa 6 B.C in Bethlehem which is the south city of Jerusalem was
born of Virgin Mary and Joseph, but as the author states, Christians have believed that Jesus was born
in Bethlehem. The details are fully explained in the rabbinic interpretation which is provided in the
Old Testament. (Fisher, 2014, 305) There is very little written about Jesus s early life. But what is said
in The Gospel of Luke (2:41 52) conveys that when Jesus was 12 years old, he had accompanied his
parents on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and they became disunited. After a few days, he was found in a
temple conversing affairs with some of Jerusalem s elders. Throughout the New Testament, there are a
few trace references of Jesus working as a carpenter while he was a young adult. Moreover, at age 30

Classical American music
Early music from America
Music with influence from Europe always uses a number of instruments, together with vocalists and
choirs. In some instances, the most current instruments like electric guitars are used together with the
traditional instruments of an orchestra. One prominent artist within this field was Hildegard of Bingen.
Hildegard was always known as a very influential nun during the time of middle ages and developed a
number of compositions that had unearthly beaury. One of such great composition is O pastor
animarum. This music is highly held up in the west to illustrate ... Show more content on

Composers like Amy Beach did counter this by generating very nice and serious music (Burkholder
Grout, 2014). Amy Beach usually composes Romantic classical music, which majority is yet to
compare with that of composers such as Brahmns. This music worked both unintentionally and
intentionally to assist the new America nation to seal its cultural identity separately from the European
countries. One great example of this kind of compositions is Beach s Gaelic Symphony, the kind of
musical elements which pay honor to the Scottish and Irish settlers who played great role in the
history of America (Monson Marvin, 2013).
Tin Pan Alley music
Tin Pan Alley music rose to the fame at the start of the 20th century, the same time the United States
was starting its meteoric rise to cultural greatness that is enjoying currently. This music always appear
very bright and happy. Composers like Gershwin were well known for developing pieces that were
brooding and dark. That is to say, they were music that had exuded optimism. Rhapsody in Blue, by
Gershwin is one of the prominent and most innovative piece that arose from this genre. Within this
music, Gershwin blended jazz and classical music to come up with a very unique style of music

The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With The Sea By Yukio Mishima
How does Yukio Mishima portray Glory
The Sailor Who Fell From Grace with The Sea is a story about a 13 year old boy, Noboru who had lost
his father 5 years ago. His mother, Fusako owns a luxurious clothing store and lives a lonely life as a
widow. Noboru is part of a gang that is led by another 13 year old boy called The Chief . Instead of
referring to one another by their names, in the gang, every member is referred to as Number One,
Number Two and so forth. Noboru and the gang participates in horrible acts such as dissecting and
dismembering a cat. Everyone in the gang are nihilists, they believe they are the wisest of all and that
they are incorruptible. Led by The Chief, who grew up not having good relationships with his parents
and spent his time reading old books in his library, the gang are firm believers of tradition and follows
the Bushido code, the ways of the Samurai. The story continues with Fusako meeting a sailor, Ryuji
and they both fall in love.
Ryuji is first presented as a simple man whom also have strong traditional beliefs. However, he has
been influenced by Japan s westernization to change his social status and keep up with the rapidly
influenced Japanese society. Ryuji is a person who is pleased with his physicality, however his
personality is depicted by Mishima as unsociable and eccentric [pg 15]. This is done by Mishima to
make us feel sympathetic towards Ryuji because his loneliness makes him seem weaker although he is

Distributed Manufacturing And Capacity Planning
DISTRIBUTED MANUFACTURING AND CAPACITY PLANNING
DEFINITION: It is a decentralized manufacturing practiced by an organization using a geographically
network manufacturing facilities which are coordinate using Information Technology. We can also say
that making parts at different part of world and using supply chain management concepts to bring all
different part at a particular place for the final production. This phenomenon is known as Distributed
Manufacturing. INTRODUCTION: Today, the ability to rapidly adjust production and distribution in
response to change in customer demand is viewed as a strategic challenge. Increase in product variety
is a main reason for the distributed manufacturing. The ability is to create value at different location
via manufacturing. Immense rise in technology has allowed companies a decentralized and
geographically distribution manufacturing. Manufacturing has faced a significant change during the
last year, they have moved from local economy towards global and competitive economy, with market
demanding for high customized products of high quality at lower cost with different product variety.
DIFFERENT CONCEPTS FOR PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION NETWORK:
In centralized production a product is manufactured at only one location or through a chain of single

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) ADHD and its diagnosis and treatment have been
considered controversial since the 1970s. The controversies have involved clinicians, teachers,
policymakers, parents and the media. Opinions regarding ADHD range from not believing it exists at
all to believing there are genetic and physiological bases for the condition as well as disagreement
about the use of stimulant medications in treatment. Some sociologists consider ADHD to be a classic
example of the medicalization of deviant behavior, defining a previously non medical problem as a
medical one. Most healthcare providers in U.S. accept that ADHD is a genuine disorder with debate in
centering mainly around how it is diagnosed and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With regard to genetic studies, research has demonstrated the fact that genetic influences are involved.
Family studies, molecular genetics, and twin studies have explained the familial nature of ADHD.
Regarding family studies, there is a high probability of a child being diagnosed with the disorder if the
siblings or parents are also affected. In addition, about 33.3% of fathers who in their childhood had
ADHD are likely to bear children who have the disorder. This is an indication that among first degree
relatives of affected parents or siblings, there is a 6 8X risk of an ADHD relative to the prevalence of
ADHD in the general population. Further evidence has been obtained from twin studies by comparing
the rate of concordance between monozygotic (MZ) and dizygotic (DZ) twins. All of the genes are
shared in the case of MZ twins whereas in DZ twins only 50% of segregating genes are shared on
average. A study that involved comparing the rate of concordance between the two types of twins
revealed that among MZ twins, the rate of concordance ranged between 58% and 82%. For the same
sex in DZ twins, the rate was 31% 38%. These results provided more evidence to the heritable nature
of ADHD. However, the fact that the rate of concordance in MZ twins was less than 100% in all the
studies conducted implies the involvement of environmental components in the aetiology of ADHD.

The Value And Importance Of The Rights Of Patent Holders
The value and importance of the rights of patent holders cannot be underestimated. In our current state
of the law and economy, patent holders (and holders of all forms of intellectual property) contribute
immense value to the total worldwide economy. The US Chamber of Commerce suggests that almost
35% of the total US GDP is revenue generated by intellectual property. (US CoC, 2017) The idea of
patents and intellectual property has a long history in America and was considered so vital to
innovation and progress that it was put into Article 1, section 8, clause 8 of the US Constitution. The

Such thievery dis encourages enterprise.
Laws were put into place and enforced by the central authority to prevent one thug from stealing other
peoples things. Today, intellectual property laws offer the same protections to creators. In the same
way that a thug cannot come by and take a farmers harvested crops, neither can a thug today come by
and take an inventors plans for his invention.
Without intellectual property laws, there would be no incentive to create new innovations since it
would be assumed that it was only a matter of time before someone came and took it away from you
and made it their own.
Patented organisms are no different from any other invention; they are a new creation that someone
invented. Without the inventor, the thing would not exist. It is theirs. Still using the logic our founding
fathers had, we see that without intellectual property rights to protect the newly invented bio
organism, any thug could come by and steal the idea, manufacture their own and leave the true
inventor penniless and destitute... never to bother inventing anything again.
Patent other forms of intellectual property rights are important to incentivize creation and innovation;
Perhaps even more valuable than any physical piece of property. Patent and intellectual property is a

I. Abstract: The effects on different aspects of cardiopulmonary fitness, respiratory rate, mean arterial
pressures, electrical activity of the heart, and pulse rate, were all tested on Freshmen Biology students
in regards to how exercise affects the results and if there is a difference between males and females.
Students did a moderate intensity exercise for two minutes, and the results were recorded. There was
at least a slight gender difference between all three measurements; for all three, males, on average, had
a higher net change after exercise. This, however, could have been in part due to errors. In addition,
both genders saw an increase after exercise in all three measurements, which was expected. In the

Males, on average, increased their mean arterial pressure by 12.835 units. In contrast, females
increased their mean arterial pressure by 2.25 units; however, there was one girl whose mean arterial
pressure dropped after exercising instead of increasing. Both males and females all recovered from the
exercise within the four minutes given to recover.
The pulse rate of both male and female genders increased collectively following exercise, but the
males increased drastically more on average than the females . Male pulse rate had an average change
of 30 units, where as the females pulse rate had an average increase of 19.5 units. One aspect that
might have influenced the female results was the fact that one female s pulse decreased after exercise
instead of increasing. Two males and two females were able to recover their pulse after exercise near

How To File A Small Claim Courts
In order to file a small claims lawsuit, you must first understand a few things about small claim courts.
We are going to be using the San Mateo County small claims court for the entire essay. First of all, for
San Mateo County small claims, you may not sue for over ten thousand dollars if you are a natural
person, or five thousand dollars if you are a business entity. You could sue in the civil division of the
superior court if you would like to sue for more money than ten thousand dollars. If you have a claim
over ten thousand dollars, you may still sue in a small claims court, but would lose any value above
your specific limit. Specifically, with the San Mateo Small Claims Court, you may not file 3 or more

You must be at least 18 in order to file a small claims lawsuit, but an adult or legal guardian may file a
small claim on their behalf.
In order to file a small claims lawsuit, you must do a variety of other requirements prior to filing the
claim. Before even going through the process of filing a small court claim, you must notify the
defendant clearly stating why you think they owe you money, and how much money they actually owe
you. This is to show you at least put an effort out to resolve the issue instead of going straight to the
small claims court. It should include a summary of the situation, a date for them to respond by, proof
of what they did wrong, and to warn them that you will take legal action if the matter is not solved.
You may do this verbally, or you may write a letter to the defendant. If you chose to write a letter, you
must make sure you keep record of the letter, and also print an extra copy for the court. If they do not
pay back the money they owe to you or find a solution, then you should proceed with taking legal
action.
Although it may sound extremely simple, it is very important that you receive the name, address, and
phone number of the person or business you are suing so you can correctly add them into the claim. If
you have trouble finding more details on the defendant, than you can use a California Secretary of

community in many ways. The Annual Catholic Appeal makes a big difference in the community by
encouraging leadership, supporting young people, and providing money for catholic school students.
It is important for me and the Archdiocese of st. Louis to come together for the annual
Catholic appeal because together we can really make st. Louis a better place for everyone.
st. Louis a better place by spreading and putting God in everyone s life. Some of the ways that the
Archdiocese do that is by building Catholic schools which we attend. Catholic schools are really

The Effects of the New Child Benefits System
Arjun Jairath 120237551 In 2013 changes in child benefits came into effect in the UK. In particular,
child benefit was gradually withdrawn from individuals earning over £50,000 a year and completely
withdrawn for individuals earning more than £60,000 a year. Investigate, using the standard labour
supply model, how this change in benefits will affect labour supply decisions for a single mother with
two children who is able to find work at £30/hour. Assume that she would opt out of maximum
working time regulation in case this becomes relevant. Finally, the measure of income used in the
actual calculation is adjusted net income , which is equal to gross income minus pension contributions
and several other things. For this essay assume that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This looks as follows; As you can see, the income tax function lies on top of the original budget
constraint until it reaches £7,475 of consumption. This is because there is no tax for the initial £7,475
as it is a personal allowance. When an extra £35,000 of income is earned (a total income of £42,475),
the tax of 20% reduces the total income to £35,475 of net adjusted income. When the income is
£90,000 which is the maximum the mother can earn, the income tax reduces her income to £63,990
because of the 40% income tax after £35,000 of income. The curve then kinks away to the left at
£7,475, until it reaches an income of £35,475. At this point the curve kinks with a further decrease in
the gradient until it crosses the y axis at £63,990. The child benefits policy currently allocates £20.30
for the eldest child and £13.40 for any additional child. When this is added to the consumption
function which is adjusted to the current income tax system, the function looks as follows; When
looking at this function, you can see that the income tax curve has been shifted upwards by amount of
£1,752.40. Therefore, the curve crosses the y axis at £67,902.4 and kinks where consumption is
£9,772.4 and £37,252.4. When the changes to the child benefits system are put into place, there is a
kink from the previous consumption function (including the old benefit system and income tax) at
£50,000 until it joins the consumption

How Does Shakespeare Use A Love Triangle In A Midsummer...
Within Shakespeare s A MidSummer Night s Dream, he uses a love triangle with many of the same
concepts seen among young teens today. Teenagers tend to have many love triangles. These triangles
tend to consist of two things, a childish attitude and the inconsistency of love. This inconsistency of
love leads to many problems. As the reader reads the story, he or she may notice a few things to watch
out for while growing around the realms of love.
Shakespeare revolves his play around four lovers who illustrate the complications often seen in young
love. In the story Hermia, Lysander and Demetrius are fighting over each other s love: Relent sweet

that Helena s problem is that Demetrius is in love with Hermia but Helena wants Demetrius to love
her. This shows that love from this time to today has stayed the same because the characters in the
story are unsure of who they love. Love is special when you are a teen. Teenagers are still trying to

Sex Is One Of The Most Memorable Experiences Essay
Sex is one of the most memorable experiences for some guys but for many it is a terrifying
experience. The reason is the lack of knowledge. Better knowledge of sex will make your lovemaking
better. You need to dispel certain myths and unreasoned, baseless and unfounded notions about certain
sex matters. This article will discuss some important things you need to know before having sex for
the fist time to make it your life s most exciting experience. The length of a penis This is the most
discussed issue of male sexuality. Some men think that by having a lengthy male organ they can get
more pleasure during coition and that their partner would also get sexually worked up or excited. Men
also nurture an idea that their spouse prefers the persons who have long and hard erection. But, certain
women also are afraid that by pushing the lengthy male organ in their vaginas, their male partners will
rip their vaginas apart. Speaking factually, the length of the erection must not cause any inferiority
complex or any fear in the minds of either sex. It is not the length that matters, but what is important is
as to how long and how best a man can satisfy his spouse. The short length of the male organ should
be no cause for any concern for any male. Most of the time, men who have long penis do ejaculate
earlier and thus fail to satisfy their sexuality aroused women. One the contrary, some men even with
not lengthy male organ, are not found inferior in sexually satisfying their

Superstition in Huck Finn Essay

Some say that superstition is an impractical way of looking at life but the characters in Mark Twain s,
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn beg to differ. Examples of superstition are abundant throughout
the novel. Allowing characters in a novel to have superstitions makes their lives more realistic and the
reading more enjoyable. Huck and Jim s superstitions cause them grief, help them get through, and
sometimes get them into trouble in their lengthy runaway journey. Although both of these characters
tend to be quite rational, they quickly become irrational when anything remotely superstitious happens

somewhat childish and belief in the reality of witches shows that Huck has a long way to go before
maturation.
In the fourth chapter Huck sees Pap s footprints in the snow. So Huck goes to Jim to ask him why Pap
is there. Jim gets a hair ball that is the size of a fist that he took from an ox s stomach. Jim asks the
hair ball; Why is Pap here? But the hair ball won t answer. Jim says it needs money, so Huck gives Jim

Huck are superstitious, yet they still cheat the superstition like it doesn t exist. Almost as if being

Government Enforcement, Crime And The American Population...
On July 4, 1776, thirteen colonies declared independence from English rule, eventually forming the
United States of America ( American History, 2016). Built upon a unique platform of autonomy, the
United States provides citizens with freedoms not present in other countries. In order to preserve such
freedoms, the Constitution of the United States was enacted in 1797, outlining an array of rights and
privileges afforded to all citizens of the country ( American History, 2016). However, as in any
society, crime and abuse pervaded the peace of the nation, continuing to date. Methods of public,
social control span deep into the history of the United States, in an effort to combat wrongful, illicit
activity, or crime. With the first official police force established in 1838, law enforcement has grown
rapidly within the nation, employing millions (Bureau of Justice Statistics, 2015). Nevertheless, with
the evolution of law enforcement, crime and the American population have also evolved. In the
present day United States, fear and unrest regarding personal rights and freedoms are overwhelmingly
prevalent, often creating controversy between the public and the police. Under democratically inspired
legal restraints, notably the Bill of Rights, the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, and Fourteenth
Amendments to the United States Constitution ensure the personal rights and freedoms of American
citizens against certain police related matters. The Fourth Amendment to the United States

Mesothelioma Research Papers
What is Mesothelioma?
A rare type of lung cancer that is caused by the exposure to asbestos is called mesothelioma. It is rare
and is known to affect only those people who have been exposed to asbestos or have worked at such
places where the air was polluted with asbestos and they inhaled this air, thus taking asbestos in their
lungs and consequently getting this disease. So the only reason behind this deadly disease is the
exposure to asbestos.
What it does to the body ?
This disease derives its name from the word mesothelium, now the question is, what is mesothelium ?
It is a protective lawyer or membrane that encompasses or wraps all the vital organs of the body like
lungs, liver, heart and stomach etc. Now we can easily understand that mesothelioma is a form of
cancer that damages this protective lining within the human body resulting in life taking threats to the
victim and is caused by the exposure to the pollutant asbestos. It is considered to be a critical disease
with no survival rate and the survival tie for the patient is no more than a year, and this one year is
extremely painful. So now we know what mesothelioma is and what is the reason behind this deadliest
disease.

Aboriginal And Torres Strait Islander Health
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health The permanent impact of colonisation still has an
indisputable connection with the current health status of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI)
people. Poverty and powerlessness are social disadvantages amongst ATSI people which are related to
dispossession, reflected through measures of education, employment, income and incarceration.
Before 1788, indigenous Australians did not suffer from diseases such as cardiovascular disease,

This gap is even wider in rural, remote parts of Australia; for example, in Cape York the estimated
weekly income for a ATSI person was $394 in comparison to a non Indigenous Australians weekly
disposable income of $896. Living in remote areas makes this even more of a struggle as there are
fewer employment opportunities, higher costs of goods and services, poor education and poor
infrastructure. Therefore, if ATSI people living in remote areas are already living on a tight budget this
makes it extremely difficult for them to afford suitable healthcare. To overcome this issue, costs would
have to be either kept very low or have complete government funding to avoid a lack of expression of
interest. With enough time and funding spent in this system, it could potentially have an extremely
positive impact on the health of Indigenous Australians living in remote

an example of what terrible things could happen when someone unfair takes over, by clearly
displaying the power struggles that the animals face when trying to keep everything equal for

Elizibethan Religious Settlement Essay
Elizabethan Religious Settlement
The Elizabethan Religious Settlement was Elizabeth I s response to the religious divisions created
over the reigns of Henry VIII, Edward VI and Mary I. This response, described as The Revolution of
1559 ,[1] was set out in two Acts of the Parliament of England. The Act of Supremacy of 1559 re
established the Church of England s independence from Rome, with Parliament conferring on
Elizabeth the title Supreme Governor of the Church of England, while the Act of Uniformity of 1559
set out the form the English church would now take, including the establishment of the Book of
Common Prayer.

The queen also appointed a new Privy Council, removing many Roman Catholic counsellors by doing
so. Queen Elizabeth I of England reached a moderate religious settlement which became controversial

The Act of Uniformity 1558, which required the population to attend Sunday service in an Anglican
church, at which a new version of the Book of Common Prayer was to be used, passed by only three
votes.[5] The Bill of Uniformity was more cautious than the initial Reformation Bill. It revoked the
harsh laws proposed against Roman Catholics, it removed the abuse of the Pope from the litany and
kept the wording that allowed for both a subjective and objective belief in the Real Presence in the
Communion. After Parliament was dismissed, Elizabeth, along with Cecil, drafted what are known as
the Royal Injunctions, 1559. These were additions to the settlement and largely stressed some
continuity with the Catholic past: ministers were ordered to wear the surplice; wafers, as opposed to
ordinary baker s bread, were to be used as the bread at Communion. There had been opposition to the
settlement in the shires, which for the most part were largely Roman Catholic, so the changes are often
said to have been made in order to allow for acceptance of the

Character Analysis Of Brutus
Cassius states, Caesar doth bear me hard; but he loves Brutus. Cassius sees that Brutus can be
manipulated both in spite of and because of his nobility. Cassius flatters Brutus and appeals to his
perception of equality. He justifies murdering his closest friend, Ceaser, harming both himself and the
people of Rome. He is proud of his reputation for honor and nobleness, but he sometimes is not the
most practical man, and is often naive. He is the only major character in the play dedicated to make
his behavior fit a strict moral and ethical code. Shakespeare uses the assassination of Caesar to
develop ways to show the complexity of Brutus and his character throughout the play. He cannot
justify, to his own satisfaction, the murder of a man who is a friend and who has not misused the
powers of his office. Consequently, thinking of the assassination in terms of a ritual instead of a
murder makes it more acceptable to him. Unfortunately for Brutus, he misunderstands the citizens of
Rome. In William Shakespeare s Julius Caesar, Brutus is naive, because he exhibits characteristics
flaws such as foolishness, idealism, and self righteousness, which eventually lead to his killing of
Caesar and himself.
Brutus s naive personality leads him to be easily manipulated by others. Cassius tells the other
conspirators his plan in the killing of Caesar. The other conspirators believe that it would be a smart
idea to do it the following day, due to Caesar receiving his crown. The conspirators decide that it
would only work to involve Brutus in on the plan too. The conspirators agree they will only get Brutus
on their side if they write fake letters to Brutus saying they are from the people of Rome. Later that
night Brutus finds the letters and reads them. After reading the letters, Brutus States, ... Speak, strike,
redness. I am entreated / o speak and strike? O Rome, I make thee promise / If the redness will follow,
thou receivest / Thy full petition at the hand of Brutus (II.i.55 58). After reading the letters, he feels he
needs to join the conspirators. So Brutus agrees to the plan and tells the conspirators what he plans to
do. Cassius knew that the conspirators could not assassinate Caesar without Brutus support. Brutus

The First Stop On My Cpr Tour
Crystal City Underground
The first stop on my CPR tour was the Crystal City Underground. This awesome cave sits in the heart
Crystal City, which is located about 30 miles south of St Louis, MO. Carved into the Mississippi river

water that was pumped out for decades to begin to flood portions of the cave. The recent owners of
this cave decided to turn the property into a tourist attraction. They built up area s for children to
explore, adults to play games, a stage for bands to play, a sitting area with large TV s for sports and
other event enjoyment, and barges to take tours on while exploring the depths of vastness this cave has

The Current Pressurized Oxygen Tension Based Indices Response
In this thesis, I have attempted to further explore the nature of the current utilised oxygen tension
based indices response, with a view to its use as a tool to assess the pulmonary oxygenation in
critically ill patients. Furthermore, this thesis developed a new index to assess pulmonary
oxygenation. This topic was explored with external pulmonary factors to quantify oxygenation defect
through a maze of mathematics, different diseases, and pathophysiology. There was one or two ways
that could lead us to the answer and many dead end routes. Ultimately, the research produced an
equation that was more robust than the PaO2/FiO2 ratio in terms of less variation. The first chapter
described two different types of oxygen indices and its use. The second chapter described the medical
simulator in general and the Nottingham Physiology Simulator (NPS) in particular. In chapter three,
we examined the variation of certain oxygen indices with changes in the following external
physiological factors (FIO2, Hb, RQ, and VO2) without changing the pulmonary configuration status.
This investigation was done with ARDS simulated patients using a validated NPS model. The study
demonstrates that the external physiological factors induced a remarkable variation in comparing to
oxygen indices, and the use of each index depends on the type of the external physiological factors.
However, we conclude that clinicians should be aware of using the best index according to patient s

Roman Psychological Disorder
Roman 1
There are multiple kinds of psychological disorders and each one affects a person in many different
ways. I chose to write about this topic because I ve always been super curious about psychological
disorders and how they affect certain things about a person, such as their brain, personality, sleeping
patterns, the ability learn, and their life in general. A psychological disorder reflects psychopathology
which is sickness or disorder of the mind and can range from many different illnesses such as:
schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder,
phobia, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, personality disorders, antisocial
personality disorder, and many more. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Two weeks is very different from two years. Major depressive disorder affects about 6 percent to 7
percent of Americans in any given year, and approximately 16 percent of Americans will experience
major depression at some point in their lives , and 2 to 3 percent of the population have persistent
depressive disorder, less intense symptoms (Gibson P. 512). Major depression can last anywhere
between weeks to months to even years. Just like schizophrenia depression has biological factors but
instead of environmental factors there are psychological factors. According to the textbook, there is
evidence that shows that major depression involves a lack of neurotransmitters that help with the
regulation of emotion, which is a biological factor (Gibson P. 513), this is why people with depression
have a lack of emotion. They are usually always tired and unhappy, don t really want to do anything or
participate in normal daily activities. The psychological factors consist of bullying, stress, a death,
divorce, or any type of negative event can push someone to become into a depressive state. Culture
and gender also play major roles in depression. Many more women tend to be diagnosed with
depression than men. Developing countries tend to have more women diagnosed with depression than
say countries like the United States. Depression is a serious psychological problem that sometimes
people don t take serious. Some people even keep to themselves if they experience some sort of
depression. For example, the famous comedian who stared in multiple popular movies, Robin
Williams, killed himself because he was experiencing major depression and no one had a clue. It s so
heartbreaking to see how a psychological disorder can really

Make A Wish Foundation
Game Changer 1980 was a year like no other. It was the year Make A Wish Foundation was founded.
Bringing the opportunity for many kids around the world the opportunity to have one of there dreams
come true. Make a wish works by arranging a experiences described as wishes to children with life
threatening medical conditions. Children must be between 3 and 17 to participate. The Make A Wish
Foundation does a really good job with helping a kid s life. On the Make A Wish logo there is a star
that comes of the A. This star would stand for a shooting star that the kids would wish upon. Which
brings out the fun for a kids while they are going through such a difficult process. Make a wish has
helped so many kids achieve a dream that many of these kids might have had their whole life. Make a
wish reaches out to kids many different ways some being commercials, billboards, and magazines. ...

So to reach the kids who fit make a wish requirements it would be smart to advertise where there are
many kids. Game Informer is a great place to start it is the magazine that comes out monthly to all the
kid game subscribers. This is how you can reach many, this is also how I was able to see the Make A
Wish ad. Blue is a very bright color so when it come across my eye it will usually catch my attention.
Which is something that make a wish does great at. A big blue back group with big word across it that
says GAME CHANGER . I want to be a game changer is what I thought so I was already focused on
what I can do to be a game changer. Once you look closely enough you see Wishes are a game
changer. I knew this was a Make A Wish advertisement 30 seconds after looking at the ad. Donation is
a huge part of how make a wish is able to continue to grant so many wishes each year to kids all over

Examples Of Pathos In Thank You For Smoking
Thank You for Smoking released in 2006 is based on the book titled the same by Christopher Buckley
in 1994. Thank You for Smoking is a satirical film that focuses on the hidden agendas and dark truths
of Big Tobacco. The film follows Nick Naylor, head lobbyist for Big Tobacco and his demise through
his endorsement for cigarettes. Throughout the movie Nick Naylor showcases his persuasiveness in
almost every scene. In a scene with his son Joey, Naylor is asked Why is the American government the
best government in the world? After pointing out the bias within the question Naylor went on to tell
his son that the question could be answered in many ways. Naylor proclaimed, That s the beauty of
argument, if you argue correctly, you re never ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As you may expect, sitting next to a young boy who has gotten cancer from smoking Nick is the target
amongst the panel and Ron s plan works. However, Nick is able to quickly turn the tables, he tells the
audience that It s in our (Big Tobacco) best interests to keep Robin alive and smoking, (Reitman,
2006). and he adds that, The anti smoking people want Robin to die. so that their budget can go up
(Reitman, 2006). Nick ends the scene by telling the audience that Big Tobacco is launching a 50
million dollar campaign to persuade kids not to smoke and the crowd goes wild. This is the first time
we get to see Nick s skill. Although, he has not acknowledged the mortality caused by cigarettes he
successfully uses pathos to tap into the audience s emotions. Initially, when the crowds see the sick
boy they look at Naylor to blame because he endorses the deadly sticks, but after Nick proves to them
that it is in Big Tobacco s best interest that Robin lives because they would lose a customer the
audience is swayed and forgets that the reason Robin is dying is because of Big Tobacco. In this case
Naylor uses pathos to redirect the audience s anger at Ron Goody. During Naylor s interview with
Heather Holloway when asked about why he does his job he confesses that he does it for the
mortgage. Naylor doesn t really pose an argument to her

  • 2. Music Therapy Should Not Be Considered A Therapy It is surprising to realize the practice of one small therapy could impact the world in a big and positive way. Music therapy is the practice of using music to better the lives of people with motor, cognitive, and speech disabilities, along with surgical patients. This is achieved by redirecting neural networks in the brain with certain types of music selected for that specific patient. This is not a field for every musician however, only educated students who are board certified should practice music therapy for the safety for the patients. Although many people believe music therapy should not be considered a therapy, it should be considered a mainstream beneficial medical practice and used worldwide. It greatly increases the education of mentally disabled children, surgical patients have a safer option for pain reduction, and it creates employment for people who are interested in a career dealing with music. Music therapy is the clinical and evidence based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by an accredited professional who as completed an approved music therapy program. Music therapists hope that scientific research continues to define how their work differs from entertainment, and how it benefits patients as much as other more familiar complementary therapies such as art therapy. (Mellskog) This shows how even though there is little research and evidence on music therapy, it is still very effective and a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Film Analysis Of SinginIn The Rain Singin in the Rain is a charming, film musical about two silent film actors, a pianist, and a chorus girl, tackling the transition from silent films to talking films in 1920 s Hollywood. With talking films on the rise, this group must conjure up a way to save their latest silent film before The Jazz Singer and talkies take over and shut them down. This movie is one of the most beloved, classic films of all time. This film, co directed by the leading male, Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen, follows the beloved and famous silent actors and on screen couple, Don Lockwood (Gene Kelly) and Lina Lamont (Jean Hagen). Don has worked exceptionally hard to become as successful as he is today with the help of his lifetime friend and partner, Cosmo (Donald O Connor). When Don and Lina s latest film is transformed into a musical in order to be saved, Don has the voice for it, however, his on screen love interest, Lina does not. This gives Don the opportunity to bring in Kathy Seldon (Debbie Reynolds), his off screen love interest and aspiring actress with a beautiful voice to replace Lina s horrid croaking. The only problem is Lina, will she continue to climb her way up to the talking pictures while taking everyone else down with her lack of talent, or will she step aside for the good of all and let Kathy take her place both on the silver screen and in the heart of Don Lockwood? Now, because this film is a musical, it is filled with an abundance of dance sequences which also means it is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Sample Case Study Of Nyla Yaites Introduction Nyla Yaites is an African American female, four years and eleven months of age. Nyla was chosen for this case study because she seems to be a very interesting young girl. We attend the same church and she has always greeted me with a pleasant smile and hug. Nyla appears to have a sophisticated vocabulary, playful character, and seems to be well behaved for a four year old. I am very excited about observing her for this case study. Since she was two years old, Nyla has attended preschool at Saintsville Prep Academy. According to her teacher, she has learned her colors and alphabet. Nyla has already mastered spelling her name. She loves playing pretend house and school. Her mother reports that Kemi and Eva are her favorite ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I was able to observe a short tempered spell while she was in gym class. Nyla came out of class because she wanted water. Her mom wouldn t let her drink from the water fountain because it s germy . Nyla started whining and crying so her dad went next door to the store to buy her some water. Nyla returned to gymnastics happy. Both of Nyla s parents normally accompany her to dance/gym glass. It has been suggested that fathers attachment role during the preschooler years helps to challenge the child in a supportive context that complements the mother s role in caring and comforting (Roggman et al. 2002). Nyla s teacher also indicated that when Nyla gets too hot playing she will take a break and hold conversations with teachers. Once she is cooled off, she is back to playing with her friends. It seems that Nyla is knowledgeable enough to when her body needs to take a break, and she indicates that she is mature enough to know when she is physically ready to return to play without abusing this break. • 5. The Origins Of Christianity And Christianity Christianity is one of the most common religions of the world and was founded in the early stages of time as we know it. Christianity was formed by the power of one man, Jesus Christ, whose life was unexplainably different from anyone else s of his time. The influences of his character, beliefs, customs, and teachings, are the foundation of the religion today. Throughout time and as more knowledge was gained and received, the customs of the religion changed and new smaller groups broke free from tradition and formed themselves into their own organizations. Every event that happened shaped the religion, but the messiah or better known as the Son of God, played the most important role. Jesus Christ born circa 6 B.C in Bethlehem which is the south city of Jerusalem was born of Virgin Mary and Joseph, but as the author states, Christians have believed that Jesus was born in Bethlehem. The details are fully explained in the rabbinic interpretation which is provided in the Old Testament. (Fisher, 2014, 305) There is very little written about Jesus s early life. But what is said in The Gospel of Luke (2:41 52) conveys that when Jesus was 12 years old, he had accompanied his parents on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and they became disunited. In addition, about 33.3% of fathers who in their childhood had ADHD are likely to bear children who have the disorder. This is an indication that among first degree relatives of affected parents or siblings, there is a 6 8X risk of an ADHD relative to the prevalence of ADHD in the general population. Further evidence has been obtained from twin studies by comparing the rate of concordance between monozygotic (MZ) and dizygotic (DZ) twins. All of the genes are shared in the case of MZ twins whereas in DZ twins only 50% of segregating genes are shared on average. A study that involved comparing the rate of concordance between the two types of twins revealed that among MZ twins, the rate of concordance ranged between 58% and 82%. For the same sex in DZ twins, the rate was 31% 38%. These results provided more evidence to the heritable nature of ADHD. This is because there is no tax for the initial £7,475 as it is a personal allowance. When an extra £35,000 of income is earned (a total income of £42,475), the tax of 20% reduces the total income to £35,475 of net adjusted income. When the income is £90,000 which is the maximum the mother can earn, the income tax reduces her income to £63,990 because of the 40% income tax after £35,000 of income. The curve then kinks away to the left at £7,475, until it reaches an income of £35,475. At this point the curve kinks with a further decrease in the gradient until it crosses the y axis at £63,990. Better knowledge of sex will make your lovemaking better. You need to dispel certain myths and unreasoned, baseless and unfounded notions about certain sex matters. This article will discuss some important things you need to know before having sex for the fist time to make it your life s most exciting experience. The length of a penis This is the most discussed issue of male sexuality. Some men think that by having a lengthy male organ they can get more pleasure during coition and that their partner would also get sexually worked up or excited. Men also nurture an idea that their spouse prefers the persons who have long and hard erection. But, certain women also are afraid that by pushing the lengthy male organ in their vaginas, their male partners will rip their vaginas apart. Speaking factually, the length of the erection must not cause any inferiority complex or any fear in the minds of either sex. It is not the length that matters, but what is important is as to how long and how best a man can satisfy his spouse. The short length of the male organ should be no cause for any concern for any male. Most of the time, men who have long penis do ejaculate earlier and thus fail to satisfy their sexuality aroused women. On July 4, 1776, thirteen colonies declared independence from English rule, eventually forming the United States of America ( American History, 2016). Built upon a unique platform of autonomy, the United States provides citizens with freedoms not present in other countries. In order to preserve such freedoms, the Constitution of the United States was enacted in 1797, outlining an array of rights and privileges afforded to all citizens of the country ( American History, 2016). However, as in any society, crime and abuse pervaded the peace of the nation, continuing to date. Methods of public, social control span deep into the history of the United States, in an effort to combat wrongful, illicit activity, or crime. With the first official police force established in 1838, law enforcement has grown rapidly within the nation, employing millions (Bureau of Justice Statistics, 2015). Nevertheless, with the evolution of law enforcement, crime and the American population have also evolved. In the present day United States, fear and unrest regarding personal rights and freedoms are overwhelmingly prevalent, often creating controversy between the public and the police. Before 1788, indigenous Australians did not suffer from diseases such as cardiovascular disease, smallpox, measles or influenza. Living in remote areas makes this even more of a struggle as there are fewer employment opportunities, higher costs of goods and services, poor education and poor infrastructure. The Act of Supremacy of 1559 re established the Church of England s independence from Rome, with Parliament conferring on Elizabeth the title Supreme Governor of the Church of England, while the Act of Uniformity of 1559 set out the form the English church would now take, including the establishment of the Book of Common Prayer. It revoked the harsh laws proposed against Roman Catholics, it removed the abuse of the Pope from the litany and kept the wording that allowed for both a subjective and objective belief in the Real Presence in the Communion. After Parliament was dismissed, Elizabeth, along with Cecil, drafted what are known as the Royal Injunctions, 1559. These were additions to the settlement and largely stressed some continuity with the Catholic past: ministers were ordered to wear the surplice; wafers, as opposed to ordinary baker s bread, were to be used as the bread at Communion. • 34. Character Analysis Of Brutus Cassius states, Caesar doth bear me hard; but he loves Brutus. Cassius sees that Brutus can be manipulated both in spite of and because of his nobility. Cassius flatters Brutus and appeals to his perception of equality. He justifies murdering his closest friend, Ceaser, harming both himself and the people of Rome. He is proud of his reputation for honor and nobleness, but he sometimes is not the most practical man, and is often naive. He is the only major character in the play dedicated to make his behavior fit a strict moral and ethical code. Shakespeare uses the assassination of Caesar to develop ways to show the complexity of Brutus and his character throughout the play. He cannot justify, to his own satisfaction, the murder of a man who is a friend and who has not misused the powers of his office. Consequently, thinking of the assassination in terms of a ritual instead of a murder makes it more acceptable to him. Unfortunately for Brutus, he misunderstands the citizens of Rome. In William Shakespeare s Julius Caesar, Brutus is naive, because he exhibits characteristics flaws such as foolishness, idealism, and self righteousness, which eventually lead to his killing of Caesar and himself. Brutus s naive personality leads him to be easily manipulated by others. Cassius tells the other conspirators his plan in the killing of Caesar. The other conspirators believe that it would be a smart idea to do it the following day, due to Caesar receiving his crown. The conspirators decide that it would only work to involve Brutus in on the plan too. The conspirators agree they will only get Brutus on their side if they write fake letters to Brutus saying they are from the people of Rome. Later that night Brutus finds the letters and reads them. After reading the letters, Brutus States, ... Speak, strike, redness. I am entreated / o speak and strike? O Rome, I make thee promise / If the redness will follow, thou receivest / Thy full petition at the hand of Brutus (II.i.55 58). After reading the letters, he feels he needs to join the conspirators. The Current Pressurized Oxygen Tension Based Indices Response In this thesis, I have attempted to further explore the nature of the current utilised oxygen tension based indices response, with a view to its use as a tool to assess the pulmonary oxygenation in critically ill patients. Furthermore, this thesis developed a new index to assess pulmonary oxygenation. This topic was explored with external pulmonary factors to quantify oxygenation defect through a maze of mathematics, different diseases, and pathophysiology. There was one or two ways that could lead us to the answer and many dead end routes. Ultimately, the research produced an equation that was more robust than the PaO2/FiO2 ratio in terms of less variation. The first chapter described two different types of oxygen indices and its use. The second chapter described the medical simulator in general and the Nottingham Physiology Simulator (NPS) in particular. In chapter three, we examined the variation of certain oxygen indices with changes in the following external physiological factors (FIO2, Hb, RQ, and VO2) without changing the pulmonary configuration status. This investigation was done with ARDS simulated patients using a validated NPS model. The study demonstrates that the external physiological factors induced a remarkable variation in comparing to oxygen indices, and the use of each index depends on the type of the external physiological factors. However, we conclude that clinicians should be aware of using the best index according to patient s status. Accordingly, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Major depression can last anywhere between weeks to months to even years. Just like schizophrenia depression has biological factors but instead of environmental factors there are psychological factors. According to the textbook, there is evidence that shows that major depression involves a lack of neurotransmitters that help with the regulation of emotion, which is a biological factor (Gibson P. 513), this is why people with depression have a lack of emotion. They are usually always tired and unhappy, don t really want to do anything or participate in normal daily activities.
