Nursing Assessment
Assessment is the first part of the nursing process and thus forms the basis of the care plan. The
essential requirement of accurate assessment is to view the patients holistically and thus identify their
real needs. The general survey of an assessment gives a broad range of impression of the individual.

Blast Induced Trauma
Melanie Reece presented on Blast induced neurotrauma, which can cause damage to the brain and
cause permanent damage. Research regarding Blast induced Neurotrauma started around WW1, most
cases were regarding shell shock. Blast induced traumatic brain injury (BINT) can cause damaging
effects that linger on, after the initial shock, mainly due to the impact on specific areas in the brain.
BINT s have different types of severity, ranging from mild to severe. WW1 cases were researched
primarily due to the situation and environment the people were in, which include blasts. The brain
injuries have four classifications, primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary. Primary which is
classified as a shock wave, moves faster than the speed of sound,

How Did Shakespeare Impact The World
The 16th Century was a time in history that produced a great amount of people that contributed to
different aspects that affect the world we see to day. The technology, entertainment and education of
today was greatly impacted by important individuals. Entertainment evolved from what had originally
been know at the time. An individual that contributed to that was, William Shakespeare. William
Shakespeare was a famous playwright and poet that was born in the 16th Century, lived in London for
some of his life and influenced literature, theater and the English language in multiple ways.
Shakespeare was a man of incredible talent and in his life had over 193 works. Shakespeare paved the
way for a new generation of writers with the influence his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Shakespeare expanded what could be accomplished through characterization, plot and genre. At the
time plays were with characters and plots that were symbolic rather than realistic. Shakespeare made
changes that resonated on emotional levels with audiences. In a play like Hamlet... Shakespeare
integrated characterization with plot in a matter that plot becomes dependent upon the development of
characters. ( ). In Romeo and Juliet, the new genre romantic tragedy was created. Shakespeare mixed
tragedy and comedy to create the genre. The romance genre had not been a topic under tragedy prior
to Shakespeare doing this. Shakespeare s main categories had included: tragedies, comedies and
histories. Shakespeare had written 37 plays, 2 narrative poems, and 154 sonnets. All of these works
were created in a time span of approximately 30 years. He was the first at the time to merge together:
verse, poetry and drama. He used a blank verse his whole career and perfecting the way we see it
today. With the combination of those three, the beginning of the modernization of English literature
was marked. Shakespeare gave us new ways to express hope, despair and sorrow with his styles of
writing. The English language was also enriched by Shakespeare as he made it more expressive and
colorful. ... He is credited with introducing nearly 3,000 words to the English language. ( ). It has been
said he used 15,000 words in his plays, a portion of these he created by merging existing words
together and anglicizing vocabulary from foreign languages. His works are the second most often
quoted after the Bible. With that title to his name, he is the most quoted playwright of all time with
fellow writer trailing behind him. Shakespeare s works are also continually performed in non English
speaking nations. The writings are usually literally translated in order the true originality to

Connected to Self, Nature, the Universe!
Spiritual Awareness And Why It Is CoolHair is not the only spiritual phenomena that empowers your
connection to Higher Self, Soul and Spirit, it can center you in nature or Earth and thus the Universe.
Nature allows greater study to the true nature of humans, humanity and the mysteries. In Nature we
can see a clear reflection of ourselves. We are atoms, and minerals, the very chemistry and physiology
of crystals, carbon, gold and other natural phenomena. Nothing that exists in our Universe is not also
within ourselves. With greater awareness and expansion of consciousness we can see and know many
truths and illusions that exists through myth and culture. And thus we have the freedom to choose ...

The Newest Elements There have been many elements that have been discovered in this world. The
two latest elements that have been discovered are ununquadium and ununhexium. Ununquadium is
element number 114 on the periodic table. It was given the official name of flerovium by the IUPAC
in 2012. Ununhexium is element 116 on the periodic table. It was given the official name of
livermorium by the IUPAC in 2012. There are two other elements that have been discovered, but not
yet confirmed. Those elements are ununtrium and ununpentium. Ununtrium is element 113 on the
periodic table and it has no official name yet. Ununpentium is element 115 on the periodic table and
also has no official name yet. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The creation of the element was the work of the two science teams at the Joint Institute for Nuclear
Research in Dubna and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California. The creation of
the element was made possible through the fusion of elements 20 and 96. To be precise, calcium 48
was fused with curium 248. When calcium atoms were fired at the curium target, the atom
livermorium 292 was formed. It lasted for about 50 ms before it underwent alpha decay. In a year s
worth of experimentation, two atoms of livermorium 292 had been created. One lasted for around 125
ms and the other lasted for around 55 ms. By the end of the experiment, 23,000,000,000,000,000,000
atoms of calcium had been fired at the curium target and over 30 atoms of livermorium had been
created by 2005. The director of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna wanted to name the
element after Muscovy, in honor of the Moscow region. But, the IUPAC decided to name the element
livermorium after the hard work that the scientists at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory put
into making the elements. The IUPAC accepted the existence of livermorium along with the existence
of flerovium. The IUPAC needed more time to accept the existence of the element

Third Degree Burns Term Papers
Abstract
First, second, and third degree burns are three different types of burns, each one depending on the
severity of damage to the skin; with first degree being the most minor and third degree being the most
brutal. Damage for each includes: first degree burns: red, non blistered skin; second degree burns:
blisters and some thickening of the skin; third degree burns: widespread thickness with a white,
leathery appearance. There is also a fourth degree burn. In which, the damage of third degree burns
extends beyond the skin into the tendons and bones. Tissue destruction caused by a burn injury leads
to many local and systemic problems such as fluid and protein loss, sepsis, changes to immune,
endocrine, and hematologic functioning. The extent of local and systemic problems depends on the ...

First degree burns are usually treated with products such as Aloe Vera cream or an antibiotic ointment
and simple pain medications such as over the counter Tylenol. Second degree burns can be treated
with an ointment prescribed by a doctor or an antibiotic cream. The treatment of third degree burns
may require skin grafting. Severe burns covering large parts of the body may need more lengthened
types of treatment and intensive interventions such as IV fluids to replace fluids lost when skin was
burned and IV antibiotics to prevent infection. Burn pain is difficult to control because of its changing
patterns, various components, and distinctive characteristics. Pain management is adjusted to the
persons tolerance for pain. Interventions for pain include drug therapy which usually requires opioid
and non opioid medication; alternative and complementary therapy which includes relaxation
techniques, music therapy, guided imagery, and meditative breathing; and environmental changes such
as providing a quiet environment. There is also pain involved in the treatment of burns because the
wounds need to be cleaned and the dressings

Importance Of Education Is Education
Power, Privilege, And Responsibility is Education
Imagine what the world will be like without education. Malcolm X states that without education, you
are not going anywhere in this world. People think they will get through life without education, but
little do they know the importance of it. Educated individuals have power because they are able to
understand complex info and are more informed to prevent being taken advantage of. It is also a
privilege because not everyone has access to education and those who do have education get better
treatment. Education is a responsibility because educated people have to act fairly and honestly. Don

Trust is power (Cardinal 4). Skloot shows how education is power throughout the whole book. One of
the ways that was shown how education is power is by Deborah who lacked in education because she
says, when I go to the doctor for my checkups I always say my mother was Hela... (Skloot 9).
Deborah at a young age left school in the sixth grade to go help in the field but then she ended up
going to school and barely finished high school. She hardly understood anything because she was
practically deaf and had a difficult life at home. The only reason why she barely finished was because
Bobbette, a very close family told her I don t care what you do, but you get an education, cause that s
your only hope (Skloot 116). Second reason why she lacked in power was because she does not really
know anything about her mother except that her mother was used in the science world. Deborah must
rely on Skloot for information because Skloot understands the scientific terms unlike her. The third
reason why she lacked in power was because Deborah does not know who to trust. Before she met
Skloot, a man name Sir Lord Keenan Kester Cofield came trying to help the Lacks family by
informing them what Hopkins did with their mother cells, but things ended up bad. The attorney of
Hopkins told the Lacks family who Cofield was, he was a man who got out of prison, lying about who
he was saying he was a lawyer and a doctor, so he

Clinician Intervention Case Study
As addressed in the previous section, assessment needs to be very individualized towards the patient
and their specific needs. Therefore, with intervention, the same process and considerations should be
maintained. If a clinician is going to individualize an assessment specifically towards a client, then in
order to work on the areas identified, the intervention plan must reflect the results of the assessment.
Every individual varies greatly, and with Noonan Syndrome, it is no different. Even though specific
characteristics are identified, each patient will present with different degrees and attributes, if they
even present with any at all. Intervention needs to be specifically designed for the individual and their
strengths and weaknesses. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The caregiver is a major component of the intervention, and that cannot be forgotten when
determining plans for intervention. The caregivers are going to be the main adults interacting with the
child and ultimately implementing the strategies to excel the development of their child. Therefore, the
SLP needs to make sure that they are addressing the concerns of the caregivers throughout the
intervention process. A clinician should view the caregivers as an important component in the
intervention process, comparable to the client. If the caregiver mentions skills that they wish their
child to improve upon, or want certain issues the child may have addressed, then the clinician needs to
make sure to target those issues and address them accordingly. Secondly, caregivers are a huge
resource that the clinician can use to enhance the productivity of the intervention. The caregiver can
provide insight into the interests of the child, how to interact with the child, or give the clinician
pointers as to what to avoid during interactions. (Ritzman,

Arizona s Looming Water Crisis Arizonans see California s drought and water restrictions plastered all

Californians, while some may mistakenly think that it is not Arizona s problem. I was one of those
people, and while investigated the idea, discover how Arizona is in a bad situation because of it. What
I, along with others, did not understand is the years of planning, legislation, and engineering that took
place to get water to Arizona and the rest of the Southwest. The Southwest is an arid environment that

According to the CAP website, the CAP was developed when the seven states who rely on the
Colorado River came together, and divided the water availability amongst themselves. This is known
more formally as the Colorado River Compact of 1922. After many years of legislation and
construction, the CAP started delivering water to Arizonans by 1993. The CAP brings water from
Lake Havasu and goes through a series of canals extending 313 miles long, and is responsible for
bringing water to 80 percent of Arizona s population. However, because of prior appropriation laws,
the CAP does not guarantee that Arizona will receive its annual 2.8 million acre feet. Administrators at
the CAP Strategic Initiatives and Public Policy Office predict that the 2.8 million acre feet of water
delivered to Arizona, will soon decline. The CAP issue brief states, ...there is a significant probability
of an official declaration of shortage in the Colorado River water supply starting as early as 2016 or
shortly after (CAP, 2014). An official declaration of a shortage would be determined by the Secretary
of the Interior, and the decision is based on the elevation of the water in Lake Meade. The person in
this position checks the status of the Colorado River annually. The Secretary of Interior can either call

Abbottabad, Pakistan noumansami83@hotmail.com Abstract In today s fast changing world,
cybercrimes are growing at perturbing pace. At the very definition of it, cybercrimes get engendered
by capitalizing on threats and exploitation of vulnerabilities. However, recent history reveals that such
crimes often come with surprises and seldom follow the trends. This puts the defense systems behind
in the race, because of their inability to identify new patters of cybercrime and to ameliorate to the
required levels of security. This paper visualizes the empowerment of security systems through real
time data mining by the virtue of which these systems will be able to dynamically identify patterns of
cybercrimes. This will help those security systems stepping up their defense capabilities, while
adapting to the required levels posed by newly germinating patterns. In order to confine within scope
of this paper, the application of this approach is being discussed in the context of selected scenarios of
cybercrime.

How To Acid Affect My Mood
Tracked Data and Hypothesis: First, I decided to track my sleep and how it affects my mood because I
wanted to determine if there was an amount of sleep which helped me have a positive mood. This
could be useful, especially during the school year, to help me have a positive outlook amidst a
stressful atmosphere. I hypothesized that not getting enough sleep, as well as, sleeping too much will
have a negative affect on my mood. However, I also included outside influences because no matter
how much sleep I get on a certain day, if something negative happens I will most likely let it affect my
mood. While compiling my data for this assignment I also stopped taking oral contraceptives which
greatly impacted my menstrual cycle. Because of this, I also decided to track my cycle and determine
what hormones would be the highest on what days. Since my cycle was thrown off by almost two
weeks, I wanted to see if these hormones also affect my mood. I then hypothesized that the different
hormones during menstruation negatively affect my mood. Description of Data: ... Show more content

amount of sleep I got on the 15th because I worked an overnight shift and slept strange times. I

The procurement process
The procurement life cycle can be made up into 13 key stages. The stages I am going to follow the
CIPS stages of procurement and supply management. (Cips.org, 2017)
(Cips.org, 2017)
Stage 1
The first stage of the process is to understand and define the buyer s needs. This is where the
procurement department need to recognize that a product is needed in order to purchase it. This needs
to be done with a high level specification which can be achieved by using a variety of stakeholders.
This stage is where all the requirements for the product need be identified.
Stage 2
The second stage is market/commodity this needs to be taken place after the buyer has got the buyer
needs to a high specification to ensure that at this stage the right product is chosen. At this stage the
procurement department need to research all options available within the market. By getting an
estimate of what is on the current market, it enables the buyer to pick out potential suppliers also
familiarising the buyer with the competition in the market. This is also the stage where the
procurement department would be able to look into conducting an analysis on how they are going to
achieve the product i.e. make or purchase it/ utilize the service. By conducting market research it gives
stakeholders a clear picture of the market.

The third stage is developing the plan. Once the specification has been

In order to minimize the likelihood of association with a client whose management lacks integrity,
Statement on Quality Control Standards No. 2, System of Quality Control for a CPA Firm s
Accounting and Auditing Practice, (QC Section 20.14) (applicable to auditing and accounting and
review services) provides that policies and procedures should be established for deciding whether to
accept or continue a client relationship and to perform a specific engagement for that client (QC
Section 20.14) , to minimize the likelihood of the specific policies and procedures established and the
nature and extent to which they may be documented may vary significantly from firm to firm.
Throughout the process, from initial consideration about accepting or continuing a client to issuance
of an audit report, auditors are faced with risk. This risk can be thought of as having three
components:
• The entity s business risk The risk that the entity will not survive or will not be profitable.
• The auditor s business risk The risk to the auditor from association with the client, consisting of the
risk of potential litigation costs and the related effect on the auditor s reputation and the risk of other

Meli Marine Case Study Strategy Analysis Significant Factors For Attractiveness of The Industry
Global commerce trade is primarly dependent on trans ocean shipping; roughly 90% of general cargo
is shipped via container Based on the container shipping value chain, there are several segments to
expand and integrate the business and enter the market. This would provide benefit of business
diversification hence decreasing risks According to the volume of growth of shipping lanes (Exhibit

Furthermore, the sum of the two lanes, Asia North America and Intra Asia, would account for roughly
41% of the overall shipping trade. Therefore, Meli Marine will benefit from the entering in the Asia

the future: Meli Marine has perceived an increased demand by its customers for shippings in the Asia
North America lane. The expectation shows that Meli Marine could meet a drop in the growth of its
lane in respect to the previous years while Asia North America lane growth is expected to increase.
Therefore, it is important taking in consideration a diversification. Meli Marine has built a strong
relationship with customer due to several factors described previously, therefore it can be stated that
its business model could even succeed in other lanes. Teeh Sah

Importance Of Effective Communication
Good communication is a key tool that every member within the NHS must have and should be
willing to improve. This is because most jobs and roles will involve patient interaction on a daily
basis. Good and effective communication will not only make it easier for service users to follow
instructions such as how and when to take medication but will also make their experience a positive
one which helps with the overall goal of delivering a quality service.
Communication is an essential skill that is used every day within the NHS and when problems arise in
communication, the patient is at risk (Blizard, 2012). There are many forms of communication such as
verbal and non verbal etc. All forms of communication are as important as each other within the NHS.
The most common form is face to face communication and staff will realise that every service user is
unique and a different style and tone may have to be used to meet the needs of the individual
(England.nhs.uk, 2017). Within the hospital there are hundreds of people every day and it is no
surprise that there are often barriers which have an impact on effective communication. Most common
type of barrier would include language and physiological barriers, for example if the patient is not able
to remember very well this could have an impact on communication. It is the role of every member of
staff to try to overcome these barriers as best as they can to ensure effective and quality
communication. Staff within the NHS may often

Shirley Jackson s The Lottery
Shirley Jackson s The Lottery
Shirley Jackson s The Lottery is an excellent example of an allegorical short story. In this story, the
reader learns of a town s lottery that takes place once a year, every year. It has been a tradition in this
small rural town for many years and the villagers never question these activities, they just blindly go
along with it. But what the reader doesn t know is just what kind of prize the winner is going to obtain.
Jackson s use of symbolism is shown through the description of the characters, significant objects, and
the actions in the story. These elements are used to represent the death that is associated with the
lottery.
The first allegorical use is seen through the description ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All of the blackness makes the reader think of death and evil. The family which draws the black dot on
the paper is the family marked for death. The slips of paper are held in a black box which signifies the
horrible outcome. Everything that is terrible and evil is shown through the color black. If someone
gets the color black, then they are going to die. It s Hutchinson. It s Bill. (236) Everyone in the village
knows what s to come for the Hutchinson family.
The actions involved with the lottery are symbolic also. At the beginning of the story the reader learns
that the children are gathering stones into a big pile. This represents just how unconscious their actions
are. The village is blind to it s own motives. Tessie was fine with the lottery until it was she who was
the chosen one. Tessie becomes the scapegoat for the village. She is a symbol of disobedience and the
other villagers must stone her to death to stop further outbreaks of rebellion against the lottery. They
are unable to articulate their rebellion because the massive force of ideology stands in their way.
Although the villagers had forgotten the ritual and lost the original black box, they still remembered to
use stones. (238) The tradition is so old that all they care about is stoning the victim without thinking
about how evil the tradition really is.
The Lottery is very allegorical in every sense. After reading this short

Examples Of Racism In Remember The Titans
Remember the Titans
How does gerry overcome his own racism throughout the film Remember the Titans directed by Boaz
Yakin?
My essay is about the issue of racism, how it is still alive today and that it can be overcome.
Racism is a far reaching issue in almost all countries around the world. It can be found in wealthy
societies, poor societies, sports, politics,in friendship groups, in the workplace, schools in fact every
where. Even though we have had civil wars, world wars and acts of terrorism through history and
today, racism is very much alive. All though this is all sad it can be overcome and in Rember the
Titans it is.
In the beginning of the movie our character Gerry Bertier is a successful footballer and captain for his
team The Titans from TC Williams high school.
Gerry is a white middle class student who is moving through the end of boy hood in t manhood. He
feels he has a lot of responsibilities. Gerry is openly able to talk about his feelings for black people

The Life Of A Soccer
The life of a soccer (overlap lesson) I do not know whether it has been out of our little childishness or
foolishness at a young age, but for some reason, I was never able to see nor relate the future to
whomever I was or what I was doing at the present not until they happen to me; the point where it is
impossible to ignore them. I remembered the laugh and sweat out in the plain, in that sunny day, not a
green or regulated field, but a beautiful barren and grassless field, a virtual desert, but I always rather
chose to spend my time on that wrenched and beautiful than other place. From far a distance, one will
be able to see something like a pile of rectangular shape at the end of the field and to the other field as
well. Sometimes, a circulation of dirt and people almost smashing into each other. My mom knew that
I would rush to the field rather than to home when every kid at the village would quicken to home at
the end of school. I would quicken to the field to enjoy the sweat and laughter. On that sunny day, no
one will not be able to find water other than on my shirt that is filled with the wet of a sweat. Then, I
did lie down on the field and laugh after all the run and playing soccer. This constant action of rushing
to the field, generating sweat and going home at the dawn of the night is an continuous activity that I
did while growing up. And though, I think it of as a child s hobby, it may be far more than that.
Unbeknownst to me was that playing soccer was not a

Character Analysis Of Iago In Shakespeare s Othello
Character Analysis of Iago As we read Othello in class, Iago reminded me of a character named Lotso
from the movie Toy Story 3 that was released in 2010. During the movie, Lotso gained the trust of the
toys at the daycare as well as Andy s toys. He then manipulated them and turned them against one
another. In Othello, Iago manipulated his peers and pretended to be everyone s friend. They saw him
as honest Iago and they never doubted anything he said. Iago also turned Othello against Desdemona
and Cassio by using Othello s jealousy to upset him. Iago did all of this because he wanted to punish
Othello for not choosing him as his lieutenant. He used Othello to remove Cassio from the chain of
command so he could claim the position of lieutenant. These are the most apparent similarities
between the two characters. As Cassio was chosen over Iago, Lotso felt like he was thrown away and
replaced by a new bear as well. Lotso convinces the toys that they were forgotten and they needed to
move on and go somewhere else so they could be appreciated (Unkrich, Toy Story 3). The toys believe
Lotso and they stick together. They end up at a daycare and Lotso convinces everyone that they should
let him be their leader. Likewise, Iago gets upset with Othello because he makes Cassio the lieutenant.
Iago feels that he is more qualified for the job, and he has been fighting alongside Othello for years.
Iago makes Othello believe that Cassio is sleeping with Desdemona, his wife. Iago

The amount of oxygen available in natural waters is also limited by the amount of dissolved salts. This
factor is a determinant of oxygen availability in transitional zones between sea and fresh water. Pure
water, when equilibrated with oxygen at 0° C, for example, contains about 50 millilitres of oxygen per
litre; under the same conditions, a solution containing 2.9 percent of sodium chloride contains only 40
millilitres of oxygen per litre. Bodies of water may have oxygen poor zones. Such zones are especially
evident in swamps and at the lower levels of deep lakes. Many animals are excluded from such zones;
others have become remarkably adapted to living in them.

Mary and their relationship. If that paragraph was gone the reader wouldn t know that Mary and her

is depressed as an adult. The flashbacks also illustrates how the family s past life has changed with the

Information Management And The Retail Industry
Information Management and the Retail Industry The retail industry is ever changing and evolving.
The more successful companies within the industry understand the need to use technology to their
advantage. Information management is the process by which different types of data is collected,
categorized, and stored (Turban, Volonino, Wood, Sipior, 2013, p. 32). A review of the collected data
is done to ascertain the value of the contents and reports are generated based on that data (Turban,
Volonino, Wood, Sipior). The Importance of Information Management in Retail The retail industry
uses information management systems to make decisions on the brands they introduce to their stores
as well as the best fashion designers they should collaborate with (Parekh, 2014). The data collected is
invaluable in that it enabled the industry to make quick decisions based on what their customers want
to purchase, and it gives those that use the technology, ideas as to upcoming trends. This is gives them
the advantage over their competitors (Parekh). Prior to the use of information management, the
industry made educated guesses at what their customers wanted. The more an item sold, the more they
attempted to keep the item in stock. With information management, retailers are using real time, fact
based to maintain pace with their competitors and meet the demands of their customers (Parekh).
Information management is one of the heaviest users by the retail industry. Retailers

An Experiment On Methyl Isoamyl Ester, The Fruity Ester...
Abstract: The purpose of this experiment was to synthesize Isoamyl Acetate, the fruity ester that
produces a banana fragrance, by a reversible reaction called esterification. The reaction was prepared
by the process of refluxing a solution of acetic acid and 3 methyl 1 butonal. The organic layer of
solution was processed through a distillation apparatus where an impure fraction and pure fraction was
collected. Infrared (IR) spectroscopy data was collected on both fractions and compared to an IR ran
on the starting alcohol (3 methly 1 butonal). The actual yield was 15.3 grams less than the theoretical
yield producing a percent yield of 34.8 %. The IR data determined the starting alcohol was present in
the final product indicating the sample was impure.
Purpose and Theory: The purpose of this experiment is to synthesize an alcohol 3 methyl 1 butonal to
produce the fruity ester isoamyl acetate by an esterification reaction. In order to experience flavor it is
a combination of taste, sensation, and odor being transmitted to receptors. Esters are organic
compounds that often have pleasant odors and can be found in nature. However, scientists have
developed a mechanism to synthesize these natural odors in a laboratory setting and use for artificial
flavoring or fragrances. The chemical reaction in order to develop fruity esters, a carboxylic acid and
an alcohol are combined to produce a by product of water and ester. This type of reaction is reversible.

How To Raise The Space Shuttle
For years, scientists had been trying to create a reusable spacecraft that could carry supplies to the
space station and do other tasks that would be easier with a reusable spacecraft. The Space Shuttle
lifted off into space for the first time on April 12, 1981, and for the last time on July 8, 2011. It would
glide to a landing on a runway facing horizontally and be launched with a rocket attached to get it up
into space.
Five Space Shuttles were built. They were called Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis, Columbia, and
Endeavour. These shuttles were used to fly cargo and people to the ISS or International Space Station.
It was also used to launch the Hubble Space Telescope, which was well known for discovering many

All seven crew members died. The accident investigation board figured out that, during the launch of
the shuttle, a piece of insulating foam had torn from the external tank and struck the orbiter s left

unable to withstand the superheated air, which penetrated the wing and destroyed it, leading to the

Fall of the Romanov Dynasty
Was Nicholas solely responsible for the revolution of 1917?
The revolution of 1917 was the culmination of a number of factors coming together and causing the
volatile mix of reasons to come together and boil over. The people of Russia where fed up with the
horrible conditions they had to put up with and decided to do something about it. Some factor I will
discuss include the industrialization,
Nicholas introduced several policies which harmed his countries economic prosperity. One thing that
caused massive instability was the encouragement of industrialization. Many peasants decided to
move to the urban areas in search of a better life, with the most growth in St Petersburg (55% between
1891 and 1900). These peasants found work in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

This war created more economic problems in the cities of Russia. Inflation had know gripped the city
with some goods and services prices rising by up to 300%. Food became less and less affordable and
soon there where scuffles breaking out across the city over essentials such as bread. The Tsar was

Gap Year Pros
Taking a gap year after high school, what are the advantages? For over several years, the controversy
has been in the debate with no definite answer. There are pros and cons to taking a gap year, but it all
depends on what he or she may want to do later to in life and how soon students want to begin. Are
students satisfied with the major or career, he or she is going to study right after high school? The idea
of taking a gap year after high school is the best way to prepare a student for college because they can
work for an entire year to help pay for tuition, explore college options, and get a break from the 13
years of receiving an education. Moreover, if a high school graduate takes a gap year he or she is able
to work full time for a year and make more money to pay for college. A full year will actually surprise
students on how much they can do to put into savings, A year of earning money full time can go a long
way toward paying for college. (McCollum) When a student graduates from high school, he or she
will have their high school diploma so their paycheck will be higher than one in high school. While
high school students have a job it can add to the stress they have to deal with in both areas. If a high
school graduate takes off a year of school then he or she will have the opportunity to only focus on
their job specifically their roles at the company. Additionally, with the opportunity to work full time he

The Eyes Of The Eyes
Eyes are a very fascinating organ. They are the gate that allows us to see. Eyes detect color. Color is
dependent on the light that it reflects and sometimes, transmits. Besides detecting colors of objects,
eyes allow people to read along with the brain. Reading is one of the primary ways people get
information. The eyes are amazing.
Eyes
Eyes are the organs of vision. They detect light and amend it into electro chemical impulses in
neurons. They eye consists mainly of the cornea, lens, pupil, iris, retina, fluid filled chamber, and the
optic nerve. The cornea is a clear tissue that covers the front of the eye. The lens is a flexible structure
that focuses light. The layer of receptor cells that line the back of the eye is called the retina. The pupil
is the opening through which light enters the eye (Coolidge Stolz, E. Graff Haight, D. 2000).
The eye responds to a stimulus of light. Receptors in the retina convert the light stimulus into
electrical impulses that your brain interprets. This enables one to see. When light enters the eye, it first
strikes the cornea. Then it passes through the fluid filled chamber behind. Finally, it reaches the pupil.

which included Communism, Nazism, and Americanism, but also targeted Christian faith (Shelley,
2008, p. 417). According to Worldview (2017), it also introduced atheism, a belief that there is no
God, no supernatural Creator, no Divine moral lawgiver, and no ultimate Judge of mans actions
followed by religious pluralism, belief that one must be tolerant of all religious beliefs because no one
religion can be true. Once again, Christians required different ways of uniting, thinking, and coping as
the world once again faced changed. To gain understanding of what humility as a concept meant in
this period, the following authors will be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, the latter statement offers criticism and urges Christians to be aware of their
intentions, before God and themselves because it is offensive to pretend to possess humility. It is a lie.
Additionally, within his works, Lewis poses discerning question, How is it that people who are quite
obviously eaten up with Pride can say they believe in God and appear to themselves very religious? he
answers the question in the following way, I am afraid it means they are worshipping an imaginary
God. ... they pay a pennyworth of imaginary humility to Him and get out of it a pound s worth of Pride
towards their fellow men (p. 69). In other words, he appears to suggest that some Christians attempt to
hold on to the earthly commodities without realizing what is offered to them in the afterlife.
While discussing the topic of Christian belief, Lewis discusses Christ s crucifixion and offers the
following description of humility, Now the Christian belief is that if we somehow share the humility
and suffering of Christ we shall also share in His conquest for death and find a new life after we have
died and in it become perfect, and perfectly happy, creatures (p. 36). Reflecting upon aforementioned
statement the following conclusion can be drawn attaining humility leads to faultlessness and
effortless happiness that is a new life. To support above statement, Lewis

Racial Segregation And Tension In The United States
Racial segregation and tension have existed in the United States of America since the country was first
discovered by the Spanish in the 1400s. From the genesis of the colonization of the new world, as it
was called, the Native American people were treated as an inferior species by the European settlers.
Over the course of time, in an act justified by the flawed concept of Manifest Destiny, these
indigenous people were forcibly removed from their land. Since then, in issues such as the shameful
practice of slavery, voting rights, and general segregation, racism has continued to infiltrate the social
dynamic of our country. This dilemma still persists today. It is evidenced in scenarios such as the
current tension between the African American population and police officers and the general racial
profiling that is present in all socioeconomic groups. The question is: How can we as a society accept
our differences while at the same time view each other as equals, thus eradicating this mindset of
dissention and hostility between the races? What can I do personally to, at the very least, improve the
situation in my circle of influence? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Racial discrimination has not limited to the United States; there is evidence of it in every culture and
people since the beginning of recorded time. Humans from all time periods seem to have in their
nature the innate tendency to judge and mistrust those that are unlike them. As a Christian, this age old
way of thinking is contrary to what I believe God intended for us when He created humans and the
world we live in. If we were all truly created equal in His image, as both the Bible and the United
States Declaration of Independence state, what is keeping us from getting along and living without
prejudice and

Examples Of An End Of Racism
An End to Racism Although we may like to think racism does not exist in this world today, it still is
very much alive. Some people may support it or it can be looked frowned upon. This topic can be very
controversial. This issue has been a problem all around for a very long time. Racism is defined as the
belief of superiority over another race of others . Racism is often looking down on another race based
on color, culture, or physical appearance in general. There s so much history of racism; there are
issues from the past even still to this day you hear about, and a solution can be found to help end it.
Racism has been around for hundreds of years. Racism can be more than just not liking someone
because skin color. A certain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Anyone can help put a stop to it. No person should have to be into this world and have to see the
horrifying things that have happened. Lives that have been taken for granted. Everyone is equal and
should feel equal. As Muhammad Ali said, Hating people because of their skin color is wrong. And it
doesn t matter which color does the hating. It s just plain wrong. We should not look down on
someone based on the color of their skin or culture. Anyone can come across and be racist. It is wrong
no matter what reasoning. There are many ways a person can help, simply sticking up for someone or
helping a person be more educated about the topic. A person is not born into being racist towards
someone else. Racism is taught. I was always taught never judge a book by its cover. Even with all the
crazy stuff that has happened in this world, we are all one in reality. You can make racism a positive
situation. It can help a person grow by being strong in their own skin. Although it may lower someone
s self esteem, it could also boost someone else s. Change is a good thing, people get too comfortable
around the people they know and the environment they are in. Once you get to know more about
someone else and their background, you are stepping out of your comfort zone. You learn through
someone else s eyes about their culture which you are not familiar

The Seriousness of Dui and the Army Regulations That...
Driving while under the influence is a serious charge and there a several different army regulations
that govern it. The primary regulation that governs it is article 112 of the uniformed code of military
justice. DUI is a very serious offense, but when faced with a DUI while serving in the military, it
means the consequences can and usually are much more severe. If someone who is a member of the
armed forces finds him or herself facing a Military DUI charge, there are a number of differences
regarding a military DUI compared to a civilian DUI charge. The first difference is that when a person
is in the military, their case can be tried in a military court. The military has a different criterion for

There are several repercussions for service members of all branches caught driving while intoxicated.
Under Army Regulations, if a service member s BAC is between 0.05 and 0.079, their driving
privileges and military driver s license can be suspended for 90 days. If their BAC is 0.08 or more, the
license will be revoked for a year. Two DUI convictions within five years will result in a five year
revocation of the license, and three alcohol related traffic offenses will result in the permanent loss of
their military driver s license. To reinstate their driver s license after a DUI incident, service members
must complete the ASAP training, take remedial drivers training, and possess a valid state driver s
license before they can obtain a letter from their commander recommending reinstatement. In addition
to a license suspension, service members who are caught driving with a BAC of 0.05 or more may
receive a General Officer Memorandum of Reprimand, which can be filed locally or in their
permanent file. Those caught driving with a BAC of 0.1 or more are in violation of the Uniform Code
of Military Justice and face either a court martial or, more commonly, a non judicial action (Article
15) from their commander. Under Article 15, the maximum punishment could include for E 4 and
below: loss of all rank to E 1, loss of half of one month s pay for two months, and up to 60 days of
extra duties and restriction to the garrison.

American Flag Essay
The American flag represents multiple forms from innocence and purity, while many can associate it
to be signifying vigilance and justice. It stands greatly to symbolize America of all the hardships,

a point in which people have vouched in different intentions on the American Flag and verbally

Burning Protest Sets Off Clash in Ped Mall ,made in January 26,2017, shows a case of a group of

Magic Mike XXL
Magic Mike XXL, the sequel to the film Magic Mike that was released back in 2012, is hilariously
entertaining and the eye candy isn t bad either. Channing Tatum is back and hotter than ever in his
return to the stage for a stripper reunion in Myrtle Beach, SC. And while, I am never a big fan of
sequels I have to say that at least this one, simply creates its own story with very few references to the
first movie, which is nice, especially for those who never saw Magic Mike the original. It seems, at
least to me, that this movie works hard to break some of the stereotypical thoughts about strippers,
moreover, it makes you realize that these are not just a bunch of hot bodied individuals but actual men
in pursuit of real life. The movie

The Proposal For Jewish Proselytization And John Crocker...
One can draw interesting parallels between the proposal for Jewish proselytization and John Crocker s
biography of Samuel Johnson. To quote the remarks of one reviewer of Crocker s book, the merits of
Mr. Crocker s performance are on a par with those of a certain leg of mutton on which Dr. Johnson
dined, while travelling from London to Oxford, and which he, with characteristic energy, pronounced
to be as bad as bad could be, ill fed, ill killed, ill kept, and ill dressed. Similarly, the aforementioned
proposal is ill conceived, ill advised, and unfortunately, illness inducing. It bears mentioning that the
ardent advocates of Jewish proselytization are not pious Haredim men who spend their days poring
over the timeless texts of tradition nor are they of the Modern Orthodox persuasion, a coterie who
attempts the Sisyphean task of synthesizing values both ancient and modern. No, these zealous
purveyors of Judaism have emerged from the lonely pews and desolate temples of the more
progressive Reform and Conservative movements, a truth which is acutely revelatory. Salvific
imperialism is a notion foreign to both Judaism and a historically conscious conservatism. As Jewish
apathy to conversion is a subject well tread, it suffices to repeat that there remains no indication
whatsoever within the Bible that the Jews sought out converts. This inattention to missionizing reflects
Jewish recognition that Gentiles could achieve moral perfection outside the suffocating strictures

This population provided the needed labor in the commercial exploitation of oil. With the small
percentage of arable land and low precipitation in the country, it became considerably important to
develop water alternatives that meet the peoples needs. Since the country has little amounts of surface
water, it has focused on the extraction of underground water and desalinization in order to sustain the
growing water demands. Similarly, the economic proceedings in the country have facilitated the
appropriate means of supplying water. Regardless of the government s efforts, there still exists a huge
gap between the amount of water supplied and its demand. Therefore, the study focuses on the factors
that influence water crisis in UAE. In analyzing the water crisis, the study seeks to establish the role
that nature and people play in contributing to the phenomenon. In this regard, conclusions will be
drawn based on the major contributor, which has escalated the water crisis in UAE. This implies
nature will entail factors such as the level of precipitation and availability of surface and underground
water, which enhance the adversity of water crisis in the country. On the other hand, people will entail
analysis of the level of water utilization in activities such as agriculture, electricity generation, and
consumption. Therefore, they can establish the major contributors to the water crisis. California

When calcium atoms were fired at the curium target, the atom livermorium 292 was formed. It lasted for about 50 ms before it underwent alpha decay. In a year s worth of experimentation, two atoms of livermorium 292 had been created. One lasted for around 125 ms and the other lasted for around 55 ms. By the end of the experiment, 23,000,000,000,000,000,000 atoms of calcium had been fired at the curium target and over 30 atoms of livermorium had been created by 2005. The director of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna wanted to name the element after Muscovy, in honor of the Moscow region. Malcolm X states that without education, you are not going anywhere in this world. People think they will get through life without education, but little do they know the importance of it. Educated individuals have power because they are able to understand complex info and are more informed to prevent being taken advantage of. Deborah at a young age left school in the sixth grade to go help in the field but then she ended up going to school and barely finished high school. The only reason why she barely finished was because Bobbette, a very close family told her I don t care what you do, but you get an education, cause that s your only hope (Skloot 116). Second reason why she lacked in power was because she does not really know anything about her mother except that her mother was used in the science world. Therefore, with intervention, the same process and considerations should be maintained. If a clinician is going to individualize an assessment specifically towards a client, then in order to work on the areas identified, the intervention plan must reflect the results of the assessment. A clinician should view the caregivers as an important component in the intervention process, comparable to the client. If the caregiver mentions skills that they wish their child to improve upon, or want certain issues the child may have addressed, then the clinician needs to make sure to target those issues and address them accordingly. According to the CAP website, the CAP was developed when the seven states who rely on the Colorado River came together, and divided the water availability amongst themselves. This is known more formally as the Colorado River Compact of 1922. After many years of legislation and construction, the CAP started delivering water to Arizonans by 1993. The CAP brings water from Lake Havasu and goes through a series of canals extending 313 miles long, and is responsible for bringing water to 80 percent of Arizona s population. However, because of prior appropriation laws, the CAP does not guarantee that Arizona will receive its annual 2.8 million acre feet. Administrators at the CAP Strategic Initiatives and Public Policy Office predict that the 2.8 million acre feet of water delivered to Arizona, will soon decline. The CAP issue brief states, ...there is a significant probability of an official declaration of shortage in the Colorado River water supply starting as early as 2016 or shortly after (CAP, 2014). Building adaptive defense against cybercrimes using real time data mining Baber Majid Bhatti Head of IT Planning Design Ericsson AB Adelaide, Australia babermb@gmail.com Nouman Sami IT Provisioning Specialist Ericsson Managed Services Abbottabad, Pakistan noumansami83@hotmail.com Abstract In today s fast changing world, cybercrimes are growing at perturbing pace. At the very definition of it, cybercrimes get engendered by capitalizing on threats and exploitation of vulnerabilities. However, recent history reveals that such crimes often come with surprises and seldom follow the trends. This puts the defense systems behind in the race, because of their inability to identify new patters of cybercrime and to ameliorate to the required levels of security. This paper visualizes the empowerment of security systems through real time data mining by the virtue of which these systems will be able to dynamically identify patterns of cybercrimes. This will help those security systems stepping up their defense capabilities, while adapting to the required levels posed by newly germinating patterns. In order to confine within scope of this paper, the application of this approach is being discussed in the context of selected scenarios of cybercrime. How To Acid Affect My Mood Tracked Data and Hypothesis: First, I decided to track my sleep and how it affects my mood because I wanted to determine if there was an amount of sleep which helped me have a positive mood. This could be useful, especially during the school year, to help me have a positive outlook amidst a stressful atmosphere. I hypothesized that not getting enough sleep, as well as, sleeping too much will have a negative affect on my mood. However, I also included outside influences because no matter how much sleep I get on a certain day, if something negative happens I will most likely let it affect my mood. Because of this, I also decided to track my cycle and determine what hormones would be the highest on what days. This is where the procurement department need to recognize that a product is needed in order to purchase it. This needs to be done with a high level specification which can be achieved by using a variety of stakeholders. This stage is where all the requirements for the product need be identified. This is because most jobs and roles will involve patient interaction on a daily basis. Good and effective communication will not only make it easier for service users to follow instructions such as how and when to take medication but will also make their experience a positive one which helps with the overall goal of delivering a quality service. Communication is an essential skill that is used every day within the NHS and when problems arise in communication, the patient is at risk (Blizard, 2012). There are many forms of communication such as verbal and non verbal etc. All forms of communication are as important as each other within the NHS. The most common form is face to face communication and staff will realise that every service user is unique and a different style and tone may have to be used to meet the needs of the individual (England.nhs.uk, 2017). Within the hospital there are hundreds of people every day and it is no surprise that there are often barriers which have an impact on effective communication. Most common type of barrier would include language and physiological barriers, for example if the patient is not able to remember very well this could have an impact on communication. But what the reader doesn t know is just what kind of prize the winner is going to obtain. If someone gets the color black, then they are going to die. It s Hutchinson. It s Bill. (236) Everyone in the village knows what s to come for the Hutchinson family. The actions involved with the lottery are symbolic also. At the beginning of the story the reader learns that the children are gathering stones into a big pile. This represents just how unconscious their actions are. The village is blind to it s own motives. Tessie was fine with the lottery until it was she who was the chosen one. Tessie becomes the scapegoat for the village. She is a symbol of disobedience and the other villagers must stone her to death to stop further outbreaks of rebellion against the lottery. I remembered the laugh and sweat out in the plain, in that sunny day, not a green or regulated field, but a beautiful barren and grassless field, a virtual desert, but I always rather chose to spend my time on that wrenched and beautiful than other place. Character Analysis Of Iago In Shakespeare s Othello Character Analysis of Iago As we read Othello in class, Iago reminded me of a character named Lotso from the movie Toy Story 3 that was released in 2010. During the movie, Lotso gained the trust of the toys at the daycare as well as Andy s toys. He then manipulated them and turned them against one another. In Othello, Iago manipulated his peers and pretended to be everyone s friend. They saw him as honest Iago and they never doubted anything he said. Iago also turned Othello against Desdemona and Cassio by using Othello s jealousy to upset him. Iago did all of this because he wanted to punish Othello for not choosing him as his lieutenant. He used Othello to remove Cassio from the chain of command so he could claim the position of lieutenant. These are the most apparent similarities between the two characters. As Cassio was chosen over Iago, Lotso felt like he was thrown away and replaced by a new bear as well. Lotso convinces the toys that they were forgotten and they needed to move on and go somewhere else so they could be appreciated (Unkrich, Toy Story 3). The toys believe Lotso and they stick together. They end up at a daycare and Lotso convinces everyone that they should let him be their leader. Likewise, Iago gets upset with Othello because he makes Cassio the lieutenant. Iago feels that he is more qualified for the job, and he has been fighting alongside Othello for years. Iago makes Othello believe that Cassio is sleeping with Desdemona, his wife. Iago ... The more successful companies within the industry understand the need to use technology to their advantage. Information management is the process by which different types of data is collected, categorized, and stored (Turban, Volonino, Wood, Sipior, 2013, p. 32). A review of the collected data is done to ascertain the value of the contents and reports are generated based on that data (Turban, Volonino, Wood, Sipior). The Importance of Information Management in Retail The retail industry uses information management systems to make decisions on the brands they introduce to their stores as well as the best fashion designers they should collaborate with (Parekh, 2014). The data collected is invaluable in that it enabled the industry to make quick decisions based on what their customers want to purchase, and it gives those that use the technology, ideas as to upcoming trends. • 31. An Experiment On Methyl Isoamyl Ester, The Fruity Ester... Abstract: The purpose of this experiment was to synthesize Isoamyl Acetate, the fruity ester that produces a banana fragrance, by a reversible reaction called esterification. The reaction was prepared by the process of refluxing a solution of acetic acid and 3 methyl 1 butonal. The organic layer of solution was processed through a distillation apparatus where an impure fraction and pure fraction was collected. Infrared (IR) spectroscopy data was collected on both fractions and compared to an IR ran on the starting alcohol (3 methly 1 butonal). The actual yield was 15.3 grams less than the theoretical yield producing a percent yield of 34.8 %. The IR data determined the starting alcohol was present in the final product indicating the sample was impure. Purpose and Theory: The purpose of this experiment is to synthesize an alcohol 3 methyl 1 butonal to produce the fruity ester isoamyl acetate by an esterification reaction. In order to experience flavor it is a combination of taste, sensation, and odor being transmitted to receptors. Esters are organic compounds that often have pleasant odors and can be found in nature. However, scientists have developed a mechanism to synthesize these natural odors in a laboratory setting and use for artificial flavoring or fragrances. Not only did Trent sleep in longer than usual, but he had very peculiar dreams the night before, and felt slightly groggy. Or was he hungover? He hadn t had too much to drink at the bonfire the night before. After showering and getting dressed, Trent walked to the local market to get some bread and jam to bring on the hike. The market wasn t a market in the traditional sense, because there was no money required, but there was an attendant who marked what it was that you took. That morning, there was no attendant. Don t you go? Michael asked. Trent remembered what the governor had told him on his first day; how he would not be required to go. Trent did not want to admit that to his friends, so he merely nodded in acknowledgment. You know what. I wonder if people get sick and then are sent home without a word? Alice asked. That idea did seem probable. The small group ended up going on their hike, perhaps just to take their minds off things and get some fresh air. At the peak of the mountain, the view of the Paradise Planet was stunning. The island was surrounded by water as far as the eye could see, but the colors were not as vibrant as they had been the day that Trent arrived. The rest of that day had been more low key than Trent was used to, and almost a tad boring. The group didn t do any more activities, and he hadn t heard word yet about where some of the friends had gone. Feeling tense and slightly eerie, Trent stepped onto his balcony to look around. No, he wasn t going out of his mind. There were fewer people on the beach, the birds were not singing as loudly, and The Resort was colder in temperature. He went to bed early that night. Much earlier than he had before. Trent just didn t feel right. A pounding on Trent s door in the middle of the night awoke him from his sleep. Groggy and disoriented, he stumbled to the doors of his room and opened them slightly to see who it might be. Hello? Trent said with a hoarse voice. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Over the course of time, in an act justified by the flawed concept of Manifest Destiny, these indigenous people were forcibly removed from their land. To quote the remarks of one reviewer of Crocker s book, the merits of Mr. Crocker s performance are on a par with those of a certain leg of mutton on which Dr. Johnson dined, while travelling from London to Oxford, and which he, with characteristic energy, pronounced to be as bad as bad could be, ill fed, ill killed, ill kept, and ill dressed. Similarly, the aforementioned proposal is ill conceived, ill advised, and unfortunately, illness inducing. It bears mentioning that the ardent advocates of Jewish proselytization are not pious Haredim men who spend their days poring over the timeless texts of tradition nor are they of the Modern Orthodox persuasion, a coterie who attempts the Sisyphean task of synthesizing values both ancient and modern. No, these zealous purveyors of Judaism have emerged from the lonely pews and desolate temples of the more progressive Reform and Conservative movements, a truth which is acutely revelatory. Salvific imperialism is a notion foreign to both Judaism and a historically conscious conservatism.
