Investigation Of A Crime Scene
must take the measurements of the area roped off, and if there is evidence on the ground or anywhere,
that specialist must make a two point measurement, which means, take two unmovable objects of that
area like a door or an outlet and measure how far they are to the evidence. The sketcher must also
draw everything else in the crime scene in order for the computer in the forensics lab to get the most
accurate measurement. If there is a crime in a small town that doesn t have a crime scene unit then a
detective will have to carry out all these tasks while also interviewing witnesses and tracking down
suspects to solve the crime. For detectives to get DNA from a person the detective must get a warrant
unless they perform this technique. When detectives are interviewing a suspect but know they don t
have enough evidence to get a warrant for DNA sample the detective can gather evidence from objects
the suspect may have come into contact with in the interview room. When the detective interviews a
suspect they will give the suspect a glass of water hoping that the suspect will drink out of it and the
detective can then send that glass to the forensics and get the DNA tested that is on the glass and see if
it is a match to the crime. Other methods detectives will use is asking the suspect to lick an envelope
closed or offer the suspect a cigarette and get the DNA of the cigarette butt. This method of obtaining
DNA will stand in court because they did not obtain the DNA

Field-Based Observation
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Based on thorough analysis performed during my five day field based
observation at the Mt. Carmel Early Learners Pre school, what significantly stood out to me as an
issue to be addressed was the absence of learning centers within the environment. Learning centres is
a predominant early childhood practice that has great potential for preschool children as it aids in
fostering and stimulating children s learning and development.
BACKGROUND The Mt. Carmel Early Learners Pre School is located on the southern main road of
Aripero Village, Rousillac. Presently, the school cares for approximately one hundred and forty
children. Unfortunately, you will not see the children going to different centre areas to play and

Miss Wayland Teenage Usa
My Journey as Miss Wayland Teen USA It all started on a sunny summer day. I was scrolling through
Facebook, an ad popped up and it said, Are you the next Miss Michigan Teen USA? I clicked on it,
just wondering what it was and it said that all you had to do was send in a biography of yourself and a
picture. I sent mine in. I told them that I volunteer at a non profit organization called Caleb s Closet in
honor of my cousin, and that I would love to be an anti distracted driving advocate, I also sent in my
photo from 8th grade graduation. About 2 days later, I received an email and it said Welcome to one of

After that embarrassing experience, we had to start rehearsal with Kent, if there is anyone that would
put on a great show it would be him he is so funny, and he makes you practice everything until you get
it right. If your walk in your evening gown was not exciting, he made you redo it. After three hours of
walking in heels, they took us downstairs to the dinner hall. After dinner, we had to do our makeup
and hair. Luigi Bruni is a makeup and hair stylist, he, and his team did my hair and makeup upstairs
after I had my fake eyelashes on and curled my hair. The waiting process after hair and makeup was
where I made a lot of my friends. Aria and Rena kept reassuring me that I d do great and they are the
only thing that kept me from having a mental breakdown before going on stage and for that, I am
forever grateful. Soon enough, 7:00 pm came. We were all scurrying to get all of our stuff in order
before we went on stage. First we had to introduce ourselves. I had to walk on stage and say, Riley
Hall, Wayland! in the most enthusiastic way I possibly could. Then, we had to get ready for
swimsuit/active wear. We had about 2 minutes to be changed and ready. I had owned that stage. I
bounced around in my hot pink Vans and you would ve thought that I was actually at the

Reverend Kumalo
As most Christians believe, God surrounds them all their life and guides them daily. Reverend Kumalo
in Cry, The Beloved Country experiences many hardships and periods of confusion; yet, God
manifests himself in these situations by challenging him to stay faithful. As a religious leader in his
town, Kumalo feels the need to exhibit his strong faith and embody the life of a Christian. As he
encounters problem after problem, Kumalo begins to feel doubt and uncertainty about God s presence.
The whole novel focuses on evil and corruption in South Africa including the obtrusive segregation in
the country. Many of the characters experience loss of faith and times where God is absent. Although
Reverend Kumalo, is tested by his doubts, his character portrays the value of hope through his
powerful Christian faith. Kumalo experiences moments of loss when his family leaves him for
Johannesburg. His sister Gertrude leaves him and loses connection with him. Later he finds out that
she has turned to a life of prostitution and bootlegging when his friend Reverend Msimangu warns,
This is bad liquor here, made strong with a manner of things that our people have never used. And that
is her work, she makes and sells it. ... These women sleep with any man for their price (Cry, The
Beloved Country 53). This news leaves Kumalo heartbroken, and he attempts to guide her back to a
simple life, but he fails when she abandons her son and vanishes without notice. After endeavoring so

It s Time to Move Beyound Race Essay
In Michael Omi and Howard Winant s essay Racial Formation , we see how the tendency to assign
each individual a specific race as misleading. This essay suggests that race is not merely biological,
but rather lays more in sociology and historical perspective. Once we look at someone and say, They
re white , it brings forth all the stereotype s that go along with that race , and once the race is assigned,
it is assumed that we can know something about the person.
Indeed, if we were to accept that people do fall nicely into specific races, it would seem to ascribe a
sort of universality to the group. In other words, if a black man from Kenya was raised in Chicago, IL,
rather than Kenya, due to his biological race, it could be assumed the ... Show more content on

This also doesn t convince us that attributing every individual to a certain category is even beneficial
or necessary.
Ultimately, the paper states that once we designate someone as a certain race, we then have a basis to
differentiate ourselves. This serves a people in power the most, as when the Irish Americans, though
viewed as somewhat unruly, were still able to enter and run for public office because of naturalization
laws of the late nineteenth century. Once it was established in the United States that there were
competing groups out there in the labor force, namely African, Asian, Latin, and Mexican Americans,
it became advantageous to draw a color line to create a large group, those of lighter skin color, to raise
and continue to hold the power through numbers and mass alone.
Once it becomes established that a group s tendencies are of a natural prescription, as in the Ethnic
Notions film, and once the greater society adheres to the simple guidelines fed to them, the argument
is then taken out of the minority group s hands. Immutable then would describe the group lacking
power enough to break the stereotype. This social construction of race, one that lumps a mass of
people into an ambiguous category, becomes an enigma. In order for the group to break free from this,
they must acquire a perspective, but their morale is so beaten that they are happy to have any place in
the society, so the enigma grows. One thing is evident; we could

The Structural Strain Theory Has Occurred
When socially accepted goals cannot be reached through legitimate means, the structural strain theory
has occurred. A mismatch that occurs between legitimate means and socially promoted goals has a
typology of responses in the strain theory. Merton s typology extends the functionalist perspective. He
believed that larger deviancy rates were because of social conditions and the varying responses. One
of the responses to social strain that accepts legitimate means of pursuing socially promoted goals is
conformity. Another response to social strain is ritualism. People reject or give up the socially
approved goal, but continue pursuing other goals through the same legitimate means (MindEdge,
2015).

College is time consuming. You must make time out for your class study and homework time. I was
always told if you work hard and get good grades in school that you will get into a good college. I was
also told that getting good grades in college, will get you the degree you are seeking and you should
be able to get a job anywhere you want. Even if you graduate summa cum laude, you might not be
guaranteed a job. If you stay focused on what you want out of your own education and take advantage

The number one way to reach your college degree goal is by going to college for classes when they
are scheduled. If you are not there, you cannot learn anything. I have mostly followed the
institutionalized approach of achieving my goal and I have more of a conformist response. I followed
my schedules down to the T. Making sure to do the best I could in each class. I tried to never miss a

Marxists theory to the sociological understanding of crime...
Assess the contribution of the Marxist theory to the sociological understanding of crime and deviance.
(21 marks) Marxism is a macro/structural approach to society, meaning that it looks at the large scale
societal structure for answers about how society works and operates and explores crime and deviance
in relation to classes within a capitalist society. Marxists claim that laws do not reflect a value
consensus, instead laws and law enforcement benefits the rich (protection of private property), and
discriminate the poor which brings about social class reproduction, the working class are criminalised
for their crimes but the criminal just system are more lenient towards the crimes of the wealth such as
white collar crime or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pearce also explores how white collar crime is hidden from the masses and this puts them in a state of
false consciousness so they do not see the full extent of the white collar crime, this is ideological
social control, this is often linked to the media which often portrays stereotypes and demonises the
poor as criminals. Chambliss looks into selective law enforcement, at the heart of the legal system in
the protection of private property, this ensures that the ruling class maintain their wealth, which leads
to social class reproduction. All social groups commit crime, but it is the poor who are targeted by the
criminal justice system. This is linked to stereotypes where the police target deprived groups in
deprived areas e.g. stop and search. There are many strengths and weaknesses to the Marxist
approach, such as it explores law making as well as law breaking, it examines selective law
enforcement so looks into the discrimination of the working class. They also highlight the idea of
social control and how police are more likely to stop and search people based on stereotypes that are
displayed in the media which can also be linked with the labelling theory. However there are some
weaknesses to the Marxist approach such as that it ignores how some laws benefit everyone, and
ignores gender and ethnicity which can be a vital factor in differences in crime and deviance and it is

Olivia E. Coolidge s Arachne
In the story Arachne by Olivia E. Coolidge, there was a conflict between Arachne and the Goddess
Athene. Arachne s arrogance was the cause of the conflict between the two of them. Arachne, a
mortal, said that she was equal or even greater than the Goddess Athene at weaving. In the text it
states With my own ten fingers I gained this skill, and by hard practice from early morning till night. I
never had time to stand looking as you people do while another maiden worked. Nor if I had, would I
give Athene credit because the girl was more skillful than I. As for Athene s weaving, how could there
be finer cloth or more beautiful embroidery than mine? If Athene herself were to come down and
compete with me, she could do no better than I. This angered Athene so she came down to ... Show

In the text it states Stupid old woman, said Arachne indignantly, who gave you the right to speak in
this way to me? It is easy to see that you were never good for anything in your day, or you would not
come here in poverty and rags to gaze at my skill. If Athene resents my words, let her answer them
herself. I have challenged her to a contest, but she, of course, will not come. It is easy for the gods to
avoid matching their skill with that of men. So while in the the contest Arachne was given warnings
from Athene but she still made something very insulting to the Gods. Athene insulted by her work
decided to turn Arachne into a spider. In the text it states When the goddess saw this insult glowing in
bright colors on Arachne s loom, she did not wait while the cloth was judged, but stepped forward, her
grey eyes blazing with anger, and tore Arachne s work across. Then she struck Arachne across the
face. Arachne stood there a moment, struggling with anger, fear, and pride. I will not live under this

Question: How does increasing the temperature of water affect the temperature of the entire solution?
Hypothesis: If the temperature of the water increases, then the temperature of the entire solution
slowly increases because there is an increase in kinetic energy in water, so when thermal equilibrium
is reached, the temperature of the solution is higher and the water exchanges the heat with compound
Y and the total temperature rises. Materials
2 250 mL Erlenmeyer flasks
150 mL Distilled Water
300 mL of Compound Y
Variables Independent: Temperature of water
Dependent: Temperature of solution
Control: Volume of Water Volume of Compound Y Temperature of Compound Y

Helicopter Parenting Analysis
Helicopter parenting is when a parent or guardian is overly concerned, and involved in their child s
performance in various activities and their physical well being. As discussed in lecture, this concept
largely stems from the idea that the world has become increasingly dangerous since the parents of the
millennial generation were children and in turn they over compensate by becoming involved in their
children s action and life decisions, both big and small. During this observation I noticed many
insistences of helicopter parenting, the most prominent were the parents in the stands who were
shouting very loudly the entire game. Though they allowed their child to play a contact sport many of
them spent the entire game literally on the edge ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

cultural traditions or values but because they were unable to comfortably sleep themselves. They were
concerned that they were unable to hear her breathing from their bed, I assume they were worried
about sudden infant death syndrome. Though it is common practice in many other cultures, co
sleeping is not recommended by western physicians who say there is a risk of the child suffocating
from the weight of the sleeping adult or from becoming entrapped by the bedding, or the adults
clothing. (Randall, 2012, 79) It seems that helicopter parenting steams from fear for the child s well
being which the clouds the child s

Essay about Shi ite Sunni Conflict
Iraq and Iran have been subjected to a civil war since the seventh century (Murphy 1). This existing
problem began because of political and theological divergence, but with the help of outside forces
such as Britain, Russia, and North America, it developed into a more complex crisis. Many non
Muslims believe the cause of the Shi ite and Sunni violence originated from their religious
differences. However the differences in tradition, education, law, and religious practices are a small
factor in this escalating problem. The core of their faith is practically identical. Both factions believe

Ali shared the same blood as Muhammad. In their opinion, this made Ali holy. Shi ites saw caliphs
more as spiritual and temporal leaders rather than rulers. Each side had its rational notions, but since
more people followed Bakr, he was appointed the next caliph. Shi ite remained under his guidance,
but felt it was an abomination. Two more leaders, Umar and Utham, followed, each appointed by
Sunnis. The Shi ite then began to act on their beliefs and some of Ali s dedicated followers murdered
Utham, bringing his reign to an abrupt end. In 656 A.D. Ali became the successor ( Sunni Shi a 2).
Many Muslims knew the cause of Utham s death and were angry at Ali, for he had not brought Utham
s killers to justice, one of whom was Mu awiya, who had been the governor of Damascus and cousin
of Utham. When Ali was assassinated in 661 A.D., Mu awiya felt great pleasure in his death and found
his revenge in stealing Ali s old position; there was, yet again, another Sunni leader. Mu awiya lead
the Sunni Muslims through a prosperous time, the Umayyad dynasty. This period of growth played a
huge role in the power, control, and population of the Sunni Muslims while the Shi ttes remained
uninvolved. In the year 661 A.D. many converted to the Sunni ways, for they were very successful.

The churches of London have been through a lot over the past few centuries and the show us every

A new way of building a church was with a cross in square plan, that is said to be a dutch influence,
and a very untraditional nave and aisles with subsidiary chapels.
A lot of churches needed a general rebuilding in the 18th and 19th century such as St.Bartholomew the
Great and All Hallows London Wall. These restoration were needed because of dissolution and decay.
During the 19th century declining population and church attendance in the city intersected with
growing appreciation of the buildings . Because of that Bishop Tait enforced the Union of Benefices
Act of 1860 which lead to the demolition of 16 city churches.
Around that time St.Nicholas Cole Abbey was disturbed during the laying of the London Underground
and St.Bride s Fleet Street was struck by lightening and needed some restoration.
A much bigger impact had the damage that was caused by bombs during the second World War. St.
Olave Hart Street for example was hit by four strikes and was restored in 1951 1954. Other Churches
such as All Hallows London Wall and St.Bride s Fleet Street had some serious war damage and
St.Nicholas Cole Abbey was burnt out in 1941 and reconstructed in 1961 1962. Even though those
churches needed some restoring architects of the 20th century tried to keep it as original as possible
and focused on the old parts of the church without any modern influence.

Justice Is Justified By Plato s The Republic
For centuries, people have been asking the question, what is justice? Although justice is not sincerely
defined in Plato s The Republic, both Socrates and Thrasymachus enter into a deep discussion over
what justice truly is. After Socrates disproves Cephalus and Polemarchus explanations of justice,
Thrasymachus declares that justice is simply what is in the interest of the stronger party (338c).
Furthermore, he debunks justice altogether, arguing that justice is the strong exploiting the weak and
that the unjust lifestyle is better than the just lifestyle. The two elements that this paper will break
down is Thrasymachus s idea of justice and how he thinks that being unjust is better than being just.
Initially, Thrasymachus s sentiment of justice is simply what is in the interest of the stronger party
(338c). This causes Socrates to question Thrasymachus on what Thrasymachus means when he says
interest . Socrates wants Thrasymachus to simplify what he means by interest because everybody has
different interests. For example, a bartender has the interest of making drinks to satisfy his customers,
while a computer programmer has the interest of making programs to create advances in technology.
As a result, Thrasymachus categorizes the interest limited to only rulers and answers Socrates s
question that interest is what is right , each type of government enacts laws that are in its own interest,
a democracy democratic laws, a tyranny tyrannical ones and so on; and in

The Healing Circle Is Valuable Technique
The healing circle is valuable technique used within Aboriginal communities to initiate healing
through their own traditional belief systems (Stevenson, 1999). Traditionally, a sharing of one s
journey is a great teacher, for it acknowledges that the pain, laughter, and love we experience can
bring us closer together and helps us to learn from one another s experiences (Stevenson, 1999, p.9).
Moreover, Aboriginal peoples created the healing circle to help each other learn by personal

and the fundamental causes of their offence (Justice Education Society, 2016). Following a healing
circle that is directed towards offenders and victims, a consensus is taken to decide the subsequent
steps that should be taken by the offender to correct the harms caused by their actions (Justice

Similarities Between John Smith And William Bradford
Smith vs Bradford
Both John Smith and William Bradford journeyed to the New World during the time of America s
colonization in the early 1600s. These two men recorded their experiences during the voyage to share
with people back in their home country of England. While Smith and Bradford traveled to the same
place, their accounts were extremely dissimilar from each other. John Smith s General History of
Virginia, New England, and the Summer Isles describes America as an agriculture and livestock rich
area with endless opportunity. On the other hand, in Of Their Voyage, And How They Passed The Sea;
And Of Their Safe Arrival At Cape Cod, William Bradford stresses the hardship faced that extended
past the voyage and the painstaking work that goes into colonization. Although Smith and Bradford s
accounts have some similarities, the idea of the American dream is strengthened by Smith and

Same Sex Marriage
Same sex Marriage
Same sex marriage is something that many people have a strong opinion about.
From the essay What s Wrong with Gay Marriage? by Katha Pollitt, she states, Gay marriage it s not
about sex, its about the separation of church and state. (572) In the very beginning of this essay
though, Pollitt asks, Will someone please explain to me how permitting gays and lesbians to marry
threatens the institution of marriage? (570) This concludes that Katha Pollitt obviously has the mind
set that same sex marriage is acceptable and should be allowed, she does not see a problem with it.
Reading this essay, there are points that are important to understand. One being, that there are more
often than not, people that are only ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Knowing what Pollitt and Colson think now, opinions can be formed on their own. Those are just two
options that people have the choice to believe, it s all up to them.
Considering that Pollitt and Colson have extremely strong opinions there is room to create another. A
big concern for same sex marriage is how the people going through it feel. Nothing would feel right if
there was a rule against something someone could be so passionate about. That s like giving up a true
love over some rule that a state or church made up. The church or state cannot have anything to say if
one lives with someone of the same sex, yet getting married is a whole different story. Getting married
is just the icing on the cake for most same sex marriages, people don t just get married out of nowhere,
obviously there will be a real reason.
This being said, Colson and Pollitt have accurate opinions, but in the end the real reason people cannot
be happy together as a same sex marriage is because of the state and the church not allowing it. It
should be between the two people involved, but everyone else in the world cannot help but get in the
way of that. There are more people that are all for same sex marriage than there are opposed, but it is
always that one person

incarceration of low level drug offenders is the primary cause of mass incarceration in the United

Samuel Coleridge and Edgar Allan Poe Poems
Symbols can be a very powerful thing. They can completely transform texts and make them more
powerful and significant. Symbols are things in a text that represent other things or have different
meanings. There are two different poems that contain similar symbols: The Rime of the Ancient
Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe. The Rime of the Ancient
Mariner is A poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge about an old sailor who is compelled to tell strangers
about the supernatural adventures that befell him at sea after he killed an albatross, a friendly sea bird.
(Kett, Joseph F.).The old mariner killed an albatross, a seabird, and was cursed for disrespecting
nature and watched his entire crew die of starvation and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another difference they have in appearance is how a raven has a more sinister looking appearance
compared to the albatross. The raven, as mentioned before is jet black, and has beady black eyes with
sharp black talons. It is a creepy bird that would appear in horror films and at funerals. The albatross
on the other hand is a more magnificent and cheerful looking bird. It is a white bird which is a more
calming color compared to black, and it is known to be a sign of good luck. Furthermore, the actions
of each bird from The Rime of an Ancient Mariner and The Raven have dissimilar roles and actions in
each poem. First off, the albatross from The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is a huge symbol of good
omens and when it gets killed by the Mariner, it instantly brings a curse among the crew or the ship
which is described by Kennedy Warne, Coleridge s Rime of the Ancient Mariner gave the albatross its
reputation as a good omen that should be respected. (Warne, Kennedy). However, the albatross doesn t
really have any direct actions; it just mainly causes the turmoil by being killed. The raven from Edgar
Allan Poe s The Raven is completely different because it does have its own actions unlike the
albatross. The raven continuously repeats the word nevermore to the old man after flying in the
window onto the man s statue which is shown in the following lines, Tell me what thy

Essay on Stress Management
Stress Management
Responses to stressors present different impacts on each individual. Stressors have a physical and
psychological effect on people although some people seem to be much less effected by stress being
able to withstand high levels of stress almost as if there daily lives depend on it. Even though it is
accepted stress is with us from are waking moment to the minute we sleep, almost all individuals
through time suffer physical or psychological illness. Individual responses to stress have been put into
to categories of personality type; a distinction has been made and put into a category of either type A
or type B.

Here we will look at the different approaches plus the strengths and weaknesses of these methods.
PHYSICAL METHOD OF STRESS MANAGEMENT.
Drugs.
Strengths.
Prescribed drug treatment seems to be the strongest source of psychological stress control. Anti
depressants and BZs are prescribed to reduce the feelings of anxiety or depression induced through
stress induced illness. The effect of the drugs is simple; they suitably block or reduce the activity of
the brains neurotransmitter for release of serotonin, or directly reduce activity in the pathways leading
to the nervous system around the body, not allowing blood pressure or the heart rate to rise, as it is
these bodily systems that influence the feelings of anxiety. Once blocked or suppressed the individual
when faced with a stressor will feel much calmer and able to cope with the unwanted stressor
presented to them.
Weaknesses.
All drugs present side effects which are usually unpleasant. Most common side effects are nausea,
dizziness and stomach upset. Other side effects experienced are drowsiness and subdued awareness,
these are more serious side effects which can cause a threat to personal safety whilst driving or if you
are in a job that requires you to operate machinery. Drugs only treat the physical feelings experienced
from stress and not the psychological cause so also

Operation Anaconda Analysis
Unity of Command
Introduction
Operation Anaconda took place in the Shahikot Valley of eastern Afghanistan. The mission began on
March 2, 2001 and ended on March 16, 2001. A hammer and anvil attack, with 600 American and 400
Afghan troops, would rout, capture, or kill enemy forces. The operational timeline for a three day
battle projecting light combat took fourteen days to complete. During Operation Anaconda, Unity of
Command planning did not fully anticipate the need for additional forces, inducing a stall in
operations on the battlefield, and negating a timely victory.
Anticipation of Additional Forces
In keeping with the U.S. intention to keep the footprint in Afghanistan small and allow the Afghans to
do as much of the fighting as possible, TF DAGGER was directed to develop plans for an operation to
clear out the Shahi Kot valley (Fleri, Howard, Hukill, Searle, 2003, p. 8). Ground combat operations
in Afghanistan officially began on October 7, 2001 with small groups of Special Operations Forces
Soldiers training and fighting alongside Northern Alliance troops. These small bands harried Taliban
forces by calling directed air strikes and using bombers, cruise missiles, tactical fighters and AC 130
gunships. By December 22, allied forces were responsible for the liberation of Kabul and putting
Taliban forces on the defensive. By mid January 2002, reports came in of Taliban forces amassing
near the Shahikot Valley in eastern Afghanistan. By late January,

Comparing the Themes of Love in Lord Byron s “She Walks in...
There are many different themes that can be used to make a poem both successful and memorable.
Such is that of the universal theme of love. This theme can be developed throughout a poem through
an authors use of form and content. She Walks in Beauty, by George Gordon, Lord Byron, is a poem
that contains an intriguing form with captivating content. Lord Byron, a nineteenth century poet,
writes this poem through the use of similes and metaphors to describe a beautiful woman. His patterns
and rhyme scheme enthrall the reader into the poem. Another poem with the theme of love is John
Keats La Belle Dame sans Merci, meaning the beautiful lady without mercy. Keats, another nineteenth
century writer, uses progression and compelling ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The last line compares the maiden to Heaven because they both deny bad days. The second stanza of
Lord Byron s poem focuses on the woman s perfect face. The beautiful shades and rays of the womans
complexion make her a nameless grace (2, 2). This conveys the idea that her inner beauty is reflected
in her outer beauty in the sense that she is pure and innocent on the inside so she radiates that beauty
on the outside. This stanza reveals her serene thoughts: Where thoughts serenely sweet express, How
pure, how dear their dwelling place.
The dwelling place is her pure mind. This maiden can be called an innocent love because Lord Byron
s use of words propose that she may have never been in love, so she does not know about it. The last
stanza in this poem considers the woman s physical description and moral character. Her so soft [and]
so calm flow radiates peace and goodness.
This woman may remind the reader of an angel when thinking of this description.
The last line, a heart whose love is innocent, reflects that the woman is truly pure and has a good
heart. This line leave the reader feeling very peaceful knowing that this maiden is pure and true in her
innocence. La Belle Dame sans Merci takes on a different view of the theme of love. This poem is
broken down into three parts. In the first part of the poem, the speaker appears to be some unknown
person who asks a lonely,

Why Pro-Choice Is The Right Choice
Why Pro Choice is the Right Choice
With the evolving moral standards of society, abortions are becoming more and more justified.
Abortions, the practice of removing a fertilized egg from a mother, has become a controversial issue in
American society, but should be generally supported because women should have the choice on how
they choose their eggs to go on, whether it be to end further growth of the fetus or not. Women have a
right to control what happens in and with their body.
Being a pro choice defender means taking sympathies to this woman while she then gets called a
murderer by pro life supporters. Abortions sometimes results in the woman being harassed because of
the choice she has made about her own body. That s what pro life supports. ... Show more content on

Disadvantages Of A Space Elevator
Ticket to the Stars
It was first written about in the Bible as the Tower of Babel, long before any scientist thought about or
came up with the idea to invent an elevator to take trips out of this world, instead of mentioning an
elevator of course it was described as building a tower so high it would reach to the heavens.
However, today that story is now almost a reality. With novels, such as that written by Arthur C.
Clarke with the idea of a ride that would glide you into space. It made the idea to many scientists of a
way for a space elevator to be created. A space elevator can be compared to a regular elevator, the
difference you might ask is the space elevator travels up to space into gravity that is different from the
earth atmosphere. NASA, scientists, and many private industries are all interested in creating this
elevator for many purposes. A space elevator can create space traveling for tourist, also it can be used
as a transportation device for material for astronauts and scientists in space. But the cost of building
such an out of this world invention is pricey with its advantages and disadvantages. The elevator is
very hard and complex to build, but if one explains how it works you would think it was rather simple.
The outside of the elevator is made up of strong materials including steel and uses electricity and other
components to be move up and down. But a space elevator utilizes very strong material that will
withstand the elements

The Importance Of Art Therapy
Art therapy involves using art to facilitate discussion with an art psychotherapist or therapist, using art
materials that can help express thoughts and feelings. It also can provide another way of
communicating when it is hard to talk. There is no need to be good at art; the aim is not to improve
your skills. In art therapy, you will have time to talk and think about your difficulties with the art
psychotherapist or therapist, and it may help you to understand yourself better, gain insight and for
change to occur. Art therapy is the use of the visual arts and the creative process within a therapeutic
relationship to support and maintain the psychological and physical health of individuals of all ages. It
is based on research that art making is a health enhancing practice that positively impacts the quality
of life. Art therapists are credited professionals who use specific art based approaches with children,
adults, groups and families. To support and maintain a quality of life. The foundation of art therapy is
most closely linked to psychoanalysis, that images come from the unconscious. Art therapy is a
clinical treatment which aims to help clients explore personal issues within a safe and supportive
framework, to resolve emotional, psychological and relationship difficulties. The use of art materials
is a form of non verbal communication enabling people to express and explore feelings which are very
difficult and in some cases impossible to convey through verbal language.

Aztec And Norse And Greek Mythology Similarities
When looking at the myths between various ancient cultures, distinct similarities appear between
motifs and symbols of their stories. It is often speculated why these characteristics remain consistent
despite differences in time, location, culture and beliefs. Looking at the similarities between Greek,
Aztec, and Norse mythology can perhaps shed some light on this mystery. All three myths feature an
apocalyptic event that starts a new life cycle, an element of sacrifice to retain order, and the death and
rebirth of a god. The theory of James Frazer best explains why these similarities exist, possibly
bringing a new perspective into the study of ancient mythology. To help understand the significance of
these similarities, James Frazer s theory ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, the death of the agriculture god Balder signifies the beginning of Ragnarok in the Norse
story. After the series of destructive events, he returns to Earth from the underworld as it begins its
new cycle. This makes it clear that his rebirth is somewhat representative of agriculture dying in
winter and growing again in the spring, the season itself symbolic of revival. Likewise, in the Greek
myth, Persephone s rebirth happens when she leaves to the Underworld during the winter and returns
to the gods above during the spring. This is much like the vegetation cycle mentioned previously,
especially with her strong agricultural association. Finally, in the Aztec myth, Quetzacoatl, the creator
of humans, dies by burning himself out of remorse, his heart becoming the morning sun. His death
preserves the life cycle since his rebirth as the sun becomes as a central part of growing and dying. In
general, each rebirth of a god is symbolic of a similar rebirth in nature, their deaths becoming other
forms of life. Through these examples, it is quite evident how the natural cycle of life is reflected in

Therefore, the oligopolistic firm has little to gain from utilizing pricing strategies that results in rigid
or inflexible prices. Oligopolistic firms rely on non pricing strategies of competition such as
advertising, product differentiation, and barriers to entry. The goal for oligopolies is to increase market
share while keeping price constant. The Coca Cola Company is the global leader for carbonated soft
drinks (Carbonated Soft Drinks Industry Profile: United States, 2005). In 2004, Coca Cola had a 44%
volume of the U.S. market, PepsiCo, Inc. had a 31.1% share, Cadbury Schweppes p/c had 15.2%
(Carbonated Soft Drinks Industry Profile: United States, 2005). The Coca Cola Company, PepsiCo,

U.S. while private label brands have only 0.4% share of the market (Carbonated Soft Drinks Industry

The Importance Of Whaling
Aboriginal peoples have been whaling as a tradition for thousands of years with it being a significant
part of their culture. They have depended on whales for food, clothing and other handicrafts. Whaling
was key to survival and the Natives have honored the sacrifice of each whale through spiritual rituals
and ceremonies. It gives them a purpose and discipline which benefits their whole community. This
has not been a problem for many centuries, only recently have animal activists been trying to stop the
hunting of whales. The Makah people have been the main subjects to the opposition of whaling on the
basis that it is unnecessary for their culture or their survival. This has been an ongoing issue since
1999, when they harvested their first whale in 70 years. The violent backlash received has prevented
them from gaining permission to hunt after that which led to the illegal killing of a whale in 2007. To
present day, the Makah has gotten many undeserved death threats and bomb threats to schools. Many
complaints have been made that the hunting method differs from how it was done traditionally so the
hunting cannot be considered as one of their cultural practices. By denying the Makah cultural rights,
this controversy could lead to cultural genocide. The Makah people should be allowed to harvest a
total of 24 whales in 6 year period with two hunting seasons of 3 weeks each because it is the main
factor in preserving their culture, it will not cause the gray whale population to

The Civil War Of Libya
INTRODUCTION
In February 2011, intense fighting broke out when a revolution hit Libya. This revolution led to the
removal of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi who was the leader of Libya from 1969 through to 2011 and
erupted into an on going civil war since 2014 causing security instability (Bruce St John, 2008).
Since 2014, over 840,000 civilians have fled their homes to become refugees in neighbouring
countries in an attempt to avoid violence and seek protection (Kisangani, 2012). Major humanitarian
challenges being faced by the AU are providing adequate medical treatment, shelter and food for the
refugees.
BACKGROUND
After the removal of King Idris by Libyan military forces led by General Gaddafi, the Libyan
Revolutionary Command Council (RCC) constituted the Libyan African Republic, which saw the end
to monarchy rule in Libya (Vandewalle, 2012). With public education being free and compulsory for
both male and female children in Libya, the RCC also provided free medical care for the people of
Libya. Though free housing was not achieved during Colonel Gaddafi s rule, Libya s per capita
income grew past $11,000, which was achieved by controversial international policies that increased
oppression in Libya (Asiedu, 2002).
After the civil war in 2011, there have been conflicts between the local armed forces and communities.
A significant example was the emergence of the National Transitional Council (NTC) that emerged
after a fierce battle in Bani Walid: a former Gaddafi

Advantages Of Top Up Budgeting
QUESTION 1 In developing an annual budget accompanies may choose to adopt either top down
budgeting approach or bottom up budgeting approach. In the finance ministry bottom down budgeting
was a traditional way used in budget formulation. Top down budgeting came in the 1990s as a
motivation to curb the fiscal deficits in which it lead to fiscal crisis in other countries. Top down
budgeting was found that it helps and manages well the fiscal deficit efficiently unlike bottom up
budgeting approach. Countries like Denmark, Korea Sweden, Australia, Netherlands, and Chile etc
actively use top down budgeting because it helps in getting information for the evaluation of new
initiatives and also in reviewing of programs for monitoring purposes. Sweden adopted top down
budgeting approach because of the series of huge fiscal deficits it used to incur and it came to be that
top down budgeting saved them. Top down budgeting is advantageous since it is done multiyear
unlike bottom down budgeting which is annually. Top down Budgeting saves on time since it has
delegated authority to take care of the budgeting process unlike Bottom down approach which is time
consuming. Bottom up approach ignores economic forecast since it involves ministry by ministry
analysis unlike top down approach which focuses on economic forecast as it is bases more in fiscal
analysis. In top down budgeting there is ownership of proposal whereby the ownership is joint unlike
bottom up approach where the ownership proposal is specific. We are able to see that top down
budgeting is more advantageous to use in budgeting approach. Countries like Netherlands, Chile and
Canada have independent bodies for economic forecast. Since Top down budgeting successes is seen

  • 2. Investigation Of A Crime Scene must take the measurements of the area roped off, and if there is evidence on the ground or anywhere, that specialist must make a two point measurement, which means, take two unmovable objects of that area like a door or an outlet and measure how far they are to the evidence. The sketcher must also draw everything else in the crime scene in order for the computer in the forensics lab to get the most accurate measurement. If there is a crime in a small town that doesn t have a crime scene unit then a detective will have to carry out all these tasks while also interviewing witnesses and tracking down suspects to solve the crime. For detectives to get DNA from a person the detective must get a warrant unless they perform this technique. When detectives are interviewing a suspect but know they don t have enough evidence to get a warrant for DNA sample the detective can gather evidence from objects the suspect may have come into contact with in the interview room. When the detective interviews a suspect they will give the suspect a glass of water hoping that the suspect will drink out of it and the detective can then send that glass to the forensics and get the DNA tested that is on the glass and see if it is a match to the crime. Other methods detectives will use is asking the suspect to lick an envelope closed or offer the suspect a cigarette and get the DNA of the cigarette butt. This method of obtaining DNA will stand in court because they did not obtain the DNA ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Field-Based Observation STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Based on thorough analysis performed during my five day field based observation at the Mt. Carmel Early Learners Pre school, what significantly stood out to me as an issue to be addressed was the absence of learning centers within the environment. Learning centres is a predominant early childhood practice that has great potential for preschool children as it aids in fostering and stimulating children s learning and development. BACKGROUND The Mt. Carmel Early Learners Pre School is located on the southern main road of Aripero Village, Rousillac. Presently, the school cares for approximately one hundred and forty children. • 4. Miss Wayland Teenage Usa My Journey as Miss Wayland Teen USA It all started on a sunny summer day. I was scrolling through Facebook, an ad popped up and it said, Are you the next Miss Michigan Teen USA? I clicked on it, just wondering what it was and it said that all you had to do was send in a biography of yourself and a picture. I sent mine in. I told them that I volunteer at a non profit organization called Caleb s Closet in honor of my cousin, and that I would love to be an anti distracted driving advocate, I also sent in my photo from 8th grade graduation. About 2 days later, I received an email and it said Welcome to one of the most prestigious pageants in the world! We are rooting for YOU Miss Wayland Teen! From that moment, I was Miss Wayland Teen USA ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After that embarrassing experience, we had to start rehearsal with Kent, if there is anyone that would put on a great show it would be him he is so funny, and he makes you practice everything until you get it right. If your walk in your evening gown was not exciting, he made you redo it. After three hours of walking in heels, they took us downstairs to the dinner hall. After dinner, we had to do our makeup and hair. Luigi Bruni is a makeup and hair stylist, he, and his team did my hair and makeup upstairs after I had my fake eyelashes on and curled my hair. The waiting process after hair and makeup was where I made a lot of my friends. Aria and Rena kept reassuring me that I d do great and they are the only thing that kept me from having a mental breakdown before going on stage and for that, I am forever grateful. Soon enough, 7:00 pm came. We were all scurrying to get all of our stuff in order before we went on stage. First we had to introduce ourselves. I had to walk on stage and say, Riley Hall, Wayland! in the most enthusiastic way I possibly could. Then, we had to get ready for swimsuit/active wear. We had about 2 minutes to be changed and ready. I had owned that stage. I bounced around in my hot pink Vans and you would ve thought that I was actually at the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Reverend Kumalo As most Christians believe, God surrounds them all their life and guides them daily. Reverend Kumalo in Cry, The Beloved Country experiences many hardships and periods of confusion; yet, God manifests himself in these situations by challenging him to stay faithful. As a religious leader in his town, Kumalo feels the need to exhibit his strong faith and embody the life of a Christian. As he encounters problem after problem, Kumalo begins to feel doubt and uncertainty about God s presence. The whole novel focuses on evil and corruption in South Africa including the obtrusive segregation in the country. Many of the characters experience loss of faith and times where God is absent. Although Reverend Kumalo, is tested by his doubts, his character portrays the value of hope through his powerful Christian faith. Kumalo experiences moments of loss when his family leaves him for Johannesburg. His sister Gertrude leaves him and loses connection with him. Later he finds out that she has turned to a life of prostitution and bootlegging when his friend Reverend Msimangu warns, This is bad liquor here, made strong with a manner of things that our people have never used. And that is her work, she makes and sells it. ... These women sleep with any man for their price (Cry, The Beloved Country 53). • 6. It s Time to Move Beyound Race Essay In Michael Omi and Howard Winant s essay Racial Formation , we see how the tendency to assign each individual a specific race as misleading. This essay suggests that race is not merely biological, but rather lays more in sociology and historical perspective. Once we look at someone and say, They re white , it brings forth all the stereotype s that go along with that race , and once the race is assigned, it is assumed that we can know something about the person. Indeed, if we were to accept that people do fall nicely into specific races, it would seem to ascribe a sort of universality to the group. In other words, if a black man from Kenya was raised in Chicago, IL, rather than Kenya, due to his biological race, it could be assumed the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This also doesn t convince us that attributing every individual to a certain category is even beneficial or necessary. Ultimately, the paper states that once we designate someone as a certain race, we then have a basis to differentiate ourselves. This serves a people in power the most, as when the Irish Americans, though viewed as somewhat unruly, were still able to enter and run for public office because of naturalization laws of the late nineteenth century. Once it was established in the United States that there were competing groups out there in the labor force, namely African, Asian, Latin, and Mexican Americans, it became advantageous to draw a color line to create a large group, those of lighter skin color, to raise and continue to hold the power through numbers and mass alone. Once it becomes established that a group s tendencies are of a natural prescription, as in the Ethnic Notions film, and once the greater society adheres to the simple guidelines fed to them, the argument is then taken out of the minority group s hands. Immutable then would describe the group lacking power enough to break the stereotype. This social construction of race, one that lumps a mass of people into an ambiguous category, becomes an enigma. In order for the group to break free from this, they must acquire a perspective, but their morale is so beaten that they are happy to have any place in the society, so the enigma grows. One thing is evident; we could ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The Structural Strain Theory Has Occurred When socially accepted goals cannot be reached through legitimate means, the structural strain theory has occurred. A mismatch that occurs between legitimate means and socially promoted goals has a typology of responses in the strain theory. Merton s typology extends the functionalist perspective. He believed that larger deviancy rates were because of social conditions and the varying responses. One of the responses to social strain that accepts legitimate means of pursuing socially promoted goals is conformity. Another response to social strain is ritualism. People reject or give up the socially approved goal, but continue pursuing other goals through the same legitimate means (MindEdge, 2015). My cultural goal is earning my degree. I ... My first certificate was in Dental Assisting. I hated the job after I finished. I felt like I had wasted over a year of my life and money for something I did not like anymore. College is time consuming. You must make time out for your class study and homework time. I was always told if you work hard and get good grades in school that you will get into a good college. I was also told that getting good grades in college, will get you the degree you are seeking and you should be able to get a job anywhere you want. Even if you graduate summa cum laude, you might not be guaranteed a job. If you stay focused on what you want out of your own education and take advantage of any help offered, you may end up working in a field that you will stay in forever. The number one way to reach your college degree goal is by going to college for classes when they are scheduled. If you are not there, you cannot learn anything. I have mostly followed the institutionalized approach of achieving my goal and I have more of a conformist response. I followed my schedules down to the T. Making sure to do the best I could in each class. I tried to never miss a class or most assignments. I did become a little bit of a Ritualist when I hated my first certificate from college. • 8. Marxists theory to the sociological understanding of crime... Assess the contribution of the Marxist theory to the sociological understanding of crime and deviance. (21 marks) Marxism is a macro/structural approach to society, meaning that it looks at the large scale societal structure for answers about how society works and operates and explores crime and deviance in relation to classes within a capitalist society. Marxists claim that laws do not reflect a value consensus, instead laws and law enforcement benefits the rich (protection of private property), and discriminate the poor which brings about social class reproduction, the working class are criminalised for their crimes but the criminal just system are more lenient towards the crimes of the wealth such as white collar crime or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Pearce also explores how white collar crime is hidden from the masses and this puts them in a state of false consciousness so they do not see the full extent of the white collar crime, this is ideological social control, this is often linked to the media which often portrays stereotypes and demonises the poor as criminals. Chambliss looks into selective law enforcement, at the heart of the legal system in the protection of private property, this ensures that the ruling class maintain their wealth, which leads to social class reproduction. All social groups commit crime, but it is the poor who are targeted by the criminal justice system. This is linked to stereotypes where the police target deprived groups in deprived areas e.g. stop and search. There are many strengths and weaknesses to the Marxist approach, such as it explores law making as well as law breaking, it examines selective law enforcement so looks into the discrimination of the working class. They also highlight the idea of social control and how police are more likely to stop and search people based on stereotypes that are displayed in the media which can also be linked with the labelling theory. However there are some weaknesses to the Marxist approach such as that it ignores how some laws benefit everyone, and ignores gender and ethnicity which can be a vital factor in differences in crime and deviance and it is too ... • 9. Olivia E. Coolidge s Arachne In the story Arachne by Olivia E. Coolidge, there was a conflict between Arachne and the Goddess Athene. Arachne s arrogance was the cause of the conflict between the two of them. Arachne, a mortal, said that she was equal or even greater than the Goddess Athene at weaving. In the text it states With my own ten fingers I gained this skill, and by hard practice from early morning till night. I never had time to stand looking as you people do while another maiden worked. Nor if I had, would I give Athene credit because the girl was more skillful than I. As for Athene s weaving, how could there be finer cloth or more beautiful embroidery than mine? It is easy to see that you were never good for anything in your day, or you would not come here in poverty and rags to gaze at my skill. If Athene resents my words, let her answer them herself. I have challenged her to a contest, but she, of course, will not come. It is easy for the gods to avoid matching their skill with that of men. So while in the the contest Arachne was given warnings from Athene but she still made something very insulting to the Gods. Athene insulted by her work decided to turn Arachne into a spider. In the text it states When the goddess saw this insult glowing in bright colors on Arachne s loom, she did not wait while the cloth was judged, but stepped forward, her grey eyes blazing with anger, and tore Arachne s work across. Then she struck Arachne across the face. Arachne stood there a moment, struggling with anger, fear, and pride. • 11. Helicopter Parenting Analysis Helicopter parenting is when a parent or guardian is overly concerned, and involved in their child s performance in various activities and their physical well being. As discussed in lecture, this concept largely stems from the idea that the world has become increasingly dangerous since the parents of the millennial generation were children and in turn they over compensate by becoming involved in their children s action and life decisions, both big and small. During this observation I noticed many insistences of helicopter parenting, the most prominent were the parents in the stands who were shouting very loudly the entire game. Though it is common practice in many other cultures, co sleeping is not recommended by western physicians who say there is a risk of the child suffocating from the weight of the sleeping adult or from becoming entrapped by the bedding, or the adults clothing. • 15. Justice Is Justified By Plato s The Republic For centuries, people have been asking the question, what is justice? Although justice is not sincerely defined in Plato s The Republic, both Socrates and Thrasymachus enter into a deep discussion over what justice truly is. After Socrates disproves Cephalus and Polemarchus explanations of justice, Thrasymachus declares that justice is simply what is in the interest of the stronger party (338c). Furthermore, he debunks justice altogether, arguing that justice is the strong exploiting the weak and that the unjust lifestyle is better than the just lifestyle. The two elements that this paper will break down is Thrasymachus s idea of justice and how he thinks that being unjust is better than being just. Initially, Thrasymachus s sentiment of justice is simply what is in the interest of the stronger party (338c). This causes Socrates to question Thrasymachus on what Thrasymachus means when he says interest . Socrates wants Thrasymachus to simplify what he means by interest because everybody has different interests. For example, a bartender has the interest of making drinks to satisfy his customers, while a computer programmer has the interest of making programs to create advances in technology. As a result, Thrasymachus categorizes the interest limited to only rulers and answers Socrates s question that interest is what is right , each type of government enacts laws that are in its own interest, a democracy democratic laws, a tyranny tyrannical ones and so on; and in ... • 31. The Importance Of Whaling Aboriginal peoples have been whaling as a tradition for thousands of years with it being a significant part of their culture. They have depended on whales for food, clothing and other handicrafts. Whaling was key to survival and the Natives have honored the sacrifice of each whale through spiritual rituals and ceremonies. It gives them a purpose and discipline which benefits their whole community. This has not been a problem for many centuries, only recently have animal activists been trying to stop the hunting of whales. The Makah people have been the main subjects to the opposition of whaling on the basis that it is unnecessary for their culture or their survival. This has been an ongoing issue since 1999, when they harvested their first whale in 70 years. The violent backlash received has prevented them from gaining permission to hunt after that which led to the illegal killing of a whale in 2007. To present day, the Makah has gotten many undeserved death threats and bomb threats to schools. Many complaints have been made that the hunting method differs from how it was done traditionally so the hunting cannot be considered as one of their cultural practices. By denying the Makah cultural rights, this controversy could lead to cultural genocide. The Makah people should be allowed to harvest a total of 24 whales in 6 year period with two hunting seasons of 3 weeks each because it is the main factor in preserving their culture, it will not cause the gray whale population to ... • 32. The Civil War Of Libya INTRODUCTION In February 2011, intense fighting broke out when a revolution hit Libya. This revolution led to the removal of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi who was the leader of Libya from 1969 through to 2011 and erupted into an on going civil war since 2014 causing security instability (Bruce St John, 2008). Since 2014, over 840,000 civilians have fled their homes to become refugees in neighbouring countries in an attempt to avoid violence and seek protection (Kisangani, 2012). Major humanitarian challenges being faced by the AU are providing adequate medical treatment, shelter and food for the refugees. BACKGROUND After the removal of King Idris by Libyan military forces led by General Gaddafi, the Libyan Revolutionary Command Council (RCC) constituted the Libyan African Republic, which saw the end to monarchy rule in Libya (Vandewalle, 2012). With public education being free and compulsory for both male and female children in Libya, the RCC also provided free medical care for the people of Libya. Though free housing was not achieved during Colonel Gaddafi s rule, Libya s per capita income grew past $11,000, which was achieved by controversial international policies that increased oppression in Libya (Asiedu, 2002). After the civil war in 2011, there have been conflicts between the local armed forces and communities. A significant example was the emergence of the National Transitional Council (NTC) that emerged after a fierce battle in Bani Walid: a former Gaddafi ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Margo Roth Spiegelman s Miracle The way I figure it, everyone gets a miracle. Like, I will probably never be struck by lightning, or win a Nobel Prize, or become the dictator of a small nation in the Pacific Islands, or contract terminal ear can cer, or spontaneously combust. But if you consider all the unlikely things together, at least one of them will probably happen to each of us. I could have seen it rain frogs. I could have stepped foot on Mars. I could have been eaten by a whale. I could have married the queen of England or survived months at sea. But my miracle was different. My miracle was this: out of all the houses in all the subdivisions in all of Florida, I ended up living next door to Margo Roth Spiegelman. Our subdivision, Jefferson Park, used to be a navy base. But then ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As I turned on my side, I saw Margo Roth Spiegelman standing outside my window, her face almost pressed against the screen. I got up and opened the window, but the screen stayed between us, pixelating her. I did an investigation, she said quite seriously. Even up close the screen broke her face apart, but I could tell that she was holding a little notebook and a pencil with teeth marks around the eraser. She glanced down at her notes. Mrs. Feldman from over on Jefferson Court said his name was Robert Joyn er. She told me he lived on Jefferson Road in one of those condos on top of the grocery store, so I went over there and there were a bunch of policemen, and one of them asked if I worked at the school paper, and I said our school didn t have a paper, and he said as long as I wasn t a journalist he would answer

  • 35. Advantages Of Top Up Budgeting QUESTION 1 In developing an annual budget accompanies may choose to adopt either top down budgeting approach or bottom up budgeting approach. In the finance ministry bottom down budgeting was a traditional way used in budget formulation. Top down budgeting came in the 1990s as a motivation to curb the fiscal deficits in which it lead to fiscal crisis in other countries. Top down budgeting was found that it helps and manages well the fiscal deficit efficiently unlike bottom up budgeting approach. Countries like Denmark, Korea Sweden, Australia, Netherlands, and Chile etc actively use top down budgeting because it helps in getting information for the evaluation of new initiatives and also in reviewing of programs for monitoring purposes. Sweden adopted top down budgeting approach because of the series of huge fiscal deficits it used to incur and it came to be that top down budgeting saved them. Top down budgeting is advantageous since it is done multiyear unlike bottom down budgeting which is annually. Top down Budgeting saves on time since it has delegated authority to take care of the budgeting process unlike Bottom down approach which is time consuming. Bottom up approach ignores economic forecast since it involves ministry by ministry analysis unlike top down approach which focuses on economic forecast as it is bases more in fiscal analysis. In top down budgeting there is ownership of proposal whereby the ownership is joint unlike bottom up approach where the ownership proposal is specific.
