Parole Is The Release Of A Convicted Offender
Parole is the release of a convicted offender after he or she has completed a portion of his or her prison
sentence (Alarid Del Carmen, 2012). Probation is a form of sentence for violating the law, which
suspends the convicted offender s sentence for a period of time and releases the offender back into the
community under specific conditions (Alarid Del Carmen, 2012).
The start of probation can be linked to England s criminal law. During Henry VIII s time, harsh
sanctions were placed on adults and children for violations of the law that were sometimes minor
(New York City Government, 2015). The upper class members of the society eventually became
dissatisfied with the harsh punishments and became bothered with the change of the ... Show more

Before the mid nineteenth century offenders received determinate sentences in prison (Rank, n.d.).
Determinate sentence is a non negotiable sentence of incarceration for the specific amount of time as
required by statute for that specific crime (U.S. Legal, 2015). Determinate sentencing became
problematic because prisons were often overcrowded, which forced governors to issue pardons or
prison wardens had to randomly release inmates to make room for new intake (Rank, n.d.).
Captain Alexander Maconochie and Sir Walter Crofton are credited for implementing early parole
system in England (Rank, n.d.). Maconochie was governor of an English penal colony at Norfolk
Island (Rank, n.d.). Convicted English offenders were transported to Australia from England and from
Australia to the island; unfortunately, the conditions were extremely bad for the offenders (Rank, n.d.).
Maconochie discontinued determinate sentencing and created a mark system (Rank, n.d.). Under the
mark system , inmates could be granted release from prison based upon their hard work and good
behavior (Rank, n.d.). Inmates earned marks, which were used to buy a reduction in sentence or
goods; unfortunately, inmates had to undergo a variety of stages before they were released and the
climbing through the stages depended on the number of marks received (Rank, n.d.).
Similar to Maconochie, Sir Walter Crofton was convinced that the prison sentence should not

The Stereotype Of A Young Girl
1. As a young girl, I have always associated most white people with the quality of being rude or racist.
For example, not holding doors as I walked behind them or ignoring my friendly smiles and/or
comments. I vividly remember several occasions where I would be walking two steps being a
Caucasian person and they would fail to hold the door open allowing it to slam in my face. There is
also an uneasy stare that is given while shopping, such as following African Americans around the
store to watch them to make sure they are not stealing. The belief that white people are rude is not
limited to black people, but other minorities as well because their cultural beliefs and practices are
often disrespected.
2. The stereotype emerged from personal experiences throughout my daily life. My mother would also
agree that most individuals who are white are rude to minorities because of their sense of entitlement.
She would often have to console me because at a young age, I would acknowledge the difference in
treatment I received. In reference to other cultures, their cultural beliefs are often disregarded and are
not given the time to understand. When someone is not fluent in English, they are often disregarded
instead of taking the time is comprehend their statement. Blacks are automatically characterized as
thieves or hoodlums, Muslims are terrorist and Mexicans are all labor workers, which are incorrect
statements and over generalized.
3. As a result, thinking that most Caucasians

My Meme Speech
For as long as I can remember, My Meme has been one of the most intelligent and godly people I
know. She and my Pawpaw helped my single mother raise me and my two sisters. They played a huge
part in turning me into the person I am today. Whether it was something that you needed to know or
when you were feeling down, Meme was there. She was a librarian and a teacher for decades and
everyone of her former students I ve met talk about how she was their favorite. Meme was also the
first to send out birthday or get well letters to members of our church, friends, and family. A few years
ago, she started to act a little strange and ditzy. At first we just thought she was getting goofy in her
old age, but as time went on, things got worse.
At first, she stopped recognizing little things like food being spoiled or the smell of gas. One day, I
came into Meme and Pawpaw s house and the air reeked of gas. Meme had unknowingly left the gas
stove on, unlit. I turned it off and cleared the air by opening up some doors and windows. Soon we
began to recognize that Meme was showing signs of Alzheimers. Eventually we couldn t have candles
in the house and we had to take the keys to Meme s car. My Pawpaw s sight physical condition
wouldn t allow him to drive, but my Meme couldn t understand why we wouldn t let her. Before we
took them, we would find her driving aimlessly around town or circling the high school, looking for
the post office.
Then three years ago, on the morning of August 23rd, my step dad Larry came into my room and
woke me up. Pawpaw had passed away in his sleep. The world stopped spinning, but my head went
reeling as I sat in my bed, surrounded by the darkness of the room. He was the best man I ever knew
and his death broke the hearts of so many. However, the one person who would have been affected the
most by his death couldn t quite grasp the concept of it. When the funeral home gave us the box of
Pawpaw s ashes for a service, it peaked her curiosity. After she finally made us explain to her that
Pawpaw s remains were in the box, she said Where s the rest of him? I bet they cut his legs off! .
Meme eventually recognized that Pawpaw was gone and he isn t coming back. But even in her
fractured mental state,

What Is The Main Idea Of Race Talk
Although the primary utilization of this book is centered on the psychological aspects of racial
dialogues viz. race talk, it also exposes the irrational fears, attitudes, and beliefs, inherent in our (The
United States) society. It is about the persistent avoidance of honest dialogues on race that may
uncover the true inequalities and injustices inflicted on people of color. What talking about race does
is open the dialogue and allow a view of the lived experience of those who suffer from oppression. It
potentially grasps these experiences and presents the possibility of moving the reader from a perceived
nonracist being into the realm of antiracism. From the nonracist point of view, one can be silent on the
topic of race and hold firm

Moravia Area Partnership Case Study
Community Tool Box: Moravia Area Partnership
In 2011, Moravia Area Partnership or MAP introduced Neighborhood Strategy Team imitative in a
direct response to several shootings and murders occurring the previous year. The Neighborhood
Strategy Team sought to reduce crime rates, violence, as well as establishing community peace in the
city of Moravia. This program primarily achieves their goal using methods identical or similar to key
Community psychology principles and values, such as utilizing resident participation, social justice,
Empirical grounding. The program was deemed a success, as Monrovia has exhibited community
peace not seen it has successfully restored peace in neighborhood given after just a year of
implementation. MAP s initiative even won national rewards such as the Best Neighborhoods
Programs awarded by NUSA (Neighborhoods USA).
The value of community involvement and improvement played a vital role in the success of this
program. For example, one of the major events this program was a movie night where over 100

Holistic Recovery
Most injured athletes have the potential to fully recover to their pre injury level of performance and
fitness ( Arvinen Barrow Walker, 2013) however, a vast majority fail to do so (Taylor and Taylor,
1997). Research highlights that such failure may be attributable to psychological factors which can
determine the extent to which an athlete can cope with injury and its corresponding rehabilitation (

rehabilitation, specifically following injury (Driediger, Hall Callow, 2006) , to enable and maximise

Essay On The Shawshank Redemption
During the final sequence of The Shawshank Redemption, Frank Darabont, the director, used
dialogue, symbolism and different camera techniques to create meaning for the viewer. These
techniques helped to portray the idea of hope, freedom and determination, through the scenes. They
built tension, keeping the viewers interest, and showed admiration in the relationship between Red and
Andy. The first of these techniques, dialogue, was largely used by Darabont, in the form of a voice
over. It was used throughout the entire film, but the director s use of non diagetic dialogue when Andy
was escaping brought emotion and left the viewer to think. When Red said, Andy Dufresne, who
crawled through a river of shit and came out clean on the other side, ... Show more content on

One of these, Norton, the warden at Shawshank, found his own freedom by killing himself in the final
sequence of the film. Darabont combined a series of low angle shots throughout the film to develop
the strong, intimidating presence Norton had over the prisoners. Even when he was being corrupt, we
saw the warden from a low angle. For example, we see him like this when he is outside, talking to
Tommy before he is shot. The camera use keeps Norton looking superior, even when he had planned
the murder of one of the inmates. Nothing of what he is doing is superior, but the director continued to
give this impression. It built Norton s character, making the viewer believe that what he was doing
was okay. Although we saw the corrupt things that Norton did, it didn t seem bad. This was because of
the low camera shots that Darabont decided to use. Nothing Norton did seemed terrible, when if
anyone else did it, it would be disgusting. The low angle shots made the viewer believe that Norton
was so superior, that everything he did was right. Even after Andy had escaped and the police were
knocking on the office door, Norton was seen through the same low angle shot. This didn t change
until he had pulled the trigger on the gun, and killed himself. Frank Darabont used a high angle shot
for the first time on Norton, after he was dead. This finally showed the viewer his true personality,
when Norton didn t have the

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Autoinjectors
1. Introduction
Mass casualty situations are common with most of the natural disasters like earth quake, tsunami,
flood, avalanche, explosion, accidents, building collapse, military operations and terrorism. Injuries
and wound infections are very common in such disasters that need immediate management; otherwise
it may lead to morbidity and mortality. Medical management is very difficult at that situation as the
access to hospital sector would be either not possible or difficult. Autoinjectors are very much useful
in emergency situations as it can make self administration possible. It can be used to deliver drug
either by intramuscular or subcutaneous injection. Autoinjector has got many advantages. It delivers
the drug fast and gives better bioavailability as it deliver the drug with a spray effect during
administration. It is convenient and since the needle is inside the vial itself, the needle phobia can be
avoided.
1.1 Natural disasters and infections

(avalanches and landslides) all these could lead to outbreaks of infectious disease. There would be an

absorbed by oral route. All aminoglycosides resemble in their pharmacokinetic properties. They will
not penetrate into the central nervous system and normally administered topically, intravenously,
intramuscularly or intrathecally. Most of the parenteral aminoglycosides are excreted as such in urine.

Essay on Jay Gatsby’s Dangerous Illusions in The Great Gatsby
Jay s Dangerous Illusions in The Great Gatsby
America is a land of opportunity and hopes and dreams can become reality. The American Dream
consists of the notion that the struggling poor can achieve financial success through hard work. F.
Scott Fitzgerald s novel, The Great Gatsby, puts this premise to the test while also warning against the
dangers of believing too passionately in any dream. The central character, Jay Gatsby, proves a tragic
hero who succeeds financially but fails emotionally when he attempts to hold onto something from the
past (Mizener 126). Gatsby not only possesses imaginative dreams, but also idealistic illusions. These
illusions eventually result in the unfortunate downfall of Jay Gatsby. ... Show more content on

Not a second passes that Gatsby does not obsess about what could have been had things worked out
differently five years before.
Jay Gatsby s current state is one of emptiness and despair because he fails to live in the present by
dwelling too much in the past. Gatsby and Daisy are alike in the fact that both carry well forgotten
dreams from age to age (Fitzgerald 143), but Daisy has moved on with her marriage to Tom, while
Gatsby is left stretching out his arms toward the dark water in a curious way (Fitzgerald 25). Gatsby
finally musters the courage to become reunited with Daisy Buchanan, with the help of his next door
neighbor, Nick Carraway. Nick holds tea at his house and invites the unsuspecting Daisy. For a few
minutes at least, the two connect with passionate intensity, but Nick makes the observation that:
There must have been moments even that afternoon when Daisy tumbled short of his dreams not
through her own fault but because of the colossal vitality of his illusion. It had gone beyond her,
beyond everything. He had thrown himself into it with a creative passion, adding to it all the time,
decking it out with every bright feather that drifted his way. No amount of fire or freshness can
challenge what a man will store up in his ghostly heart (Fitzgerald 101).

Preface
There are many today who are in search of knowledge and wisdom hoping to find within these
qualities the answers of life s struggles or the strength to endure even the most burdensome trials that
life holds for us. Gaining these qualities may take many a lifetime to achieve. Once one is in
possession of either knowledge, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In contrast to knowledge, wisdom is generally considered to be morally good. What makes this
correct? Albert Einstein once said, Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of the lifelong attempt to
acquire it. A process such as gaining wisdom is lengthy and arduous, which teaches the pursuer
patience and humility. Seldom have we found a person who is unchanged by such a trial. When one
finally uncovers insight that they believe to be universally applicable, wisdom or truth, it often
inspires those to make the best of the life they have and use this newly found wisdom to grow and to
build themselves in a way they deem acceptable for themselves.
In Douglas Adam s novel The Hitchhiker s Guide to the Galaxy, wisdom is subtly spoken of as a topic
of discussion. For example, there is an argument on the subject of whether or not God exists based on
His and man s logic. It states: Now it is such a bizarrely improbable coincidence that anything so
mindbogglingly useful could have evolved purely by chance that some thinkers have chosen to see it
as a final and clinching proof of the non existence of God.
The argument goes something like this: I refuse to prove that I exist, says God, for proof denies faith,
and without faith I am nothing.
But, says Man, the Babel fish is a dead giveaway isn t it? It could not have evolved by chance. It
proves you exist, and so therefore by your own arguments, you don t. QED.

Declaration Of Independence Rhetorical Analysis Essay
The physicality of an individual can endure many trials, but the resilience of the soul can overcome
the greatest obstacles. The hearts of many American colonists grew weary as they continued their path
of adversity for independence. The American colonists faced the toughest battles toward the end of the
18th century, where they experienced physical hardships and faintness of their soul. To overcome
British tyranny, the deteriorating colonies needed to unite with one internal desire. The Declaration of
Independence consisted of many key components that gave the colonists reason to join arms and fight
for their independence. Brought into this world on April 13, 1743 in Shadwell, Virginia, Jefferson

He was given the responsibility, by the continental congress, to compose a draft of the declaration.
Jefferson took this opportunity to compose one of the greatest testaments in American history. He
utilized rhetorical strategies that encouraged and uplifted the colonists. By listing all the acts of
tyranny that King George III committed, Jefferson stirred up feelings of anger and disappointment into
the colonists. An example from the Declaration of Independence, He has plundered our seas, ravaged
our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people (US 1776). In this quote, Jefferson
writes about King George III ruining the lives of American colonists. Jefferson s goal was to open the
eyes of the colonists to fight against King George s tyranny. Colonists gained inspiration from
Jefferson s work, and they united with one common goal to gain independence. Though this document
was intended to inspire the colonists, it was also written as a formal and official document so that
King George III would interpret it in a serious manner. The Second purpose Jefferson had for the
Declaration of Independence was to declare America s independence from Great Britain. Jefferson is
speaking directly to King George III of Great Britain when he declares America as an independent

tetraphenylporphyrinatocobalt(II) showed good catalytic activity towards oxidation of 3,5 di tert
butylcatechol to 3,5 di tert butyl benzoquinone by dioxygen in dimethylformamide. The oxidation
reaction was followed by measuring dioxygen uptake. The rate constant of oxidation reaction showed
a linear dependence on catalyst concentration and saturation kinetics in both 3,5 di tert butylcatechol
concentration and dioxygen pressure. The kinetic parameters have been determined using Michaelis
Menten approach. A mechanism has been suggested for the oxidation reaction. Keywords:

Reasons for Adolescent Suicide Attempts

are parts of depression, social pressure, drug abuse, and family difficulties. All of these factors make
an adolescent feel overwhelmed and confused. There are many events that an adolescent goes through
before taking their lives. Finding rates of suicide vary in males and females because the males use
more fatal methods than females. What are the feelings that make adolescents take their own life? All

The case of Tyler Clementi is a clear example of bullying.
Feldman (2012) has noted that male adolescents are five times more likely to commit suicide than
females, although females attempt suicide more often than males (P.365). Males use more lethal
methods than females. Adolescent males use firearms, hanging, or jumping from height as method of
suicide while females tend to commit suicide by overdosing on drugs and cutting themselves. Parents
who own guns at home must unload, lock, and keep this item out of adolescent reach as a preventive
action. Parents must also control all prescription drugs in the house because it is easy access for
teenagers to harm themselves.
Occasionally, some people try to kill themselves just by putting their lives in danger, and they use self
destructive behavior. Some behavior are drugs and alcohol abuse, overeating, self starvation, bulimia,
smoking, reckless driving, stunts and dares, promiscuity and sexual risk taking, and those actions can
lead to injury or loss of life.
Suicidal Thoughts
Adolescents who are thinking about suicide often feel lonely, different. Here are some thoughts and
feelings that a suicidal adolescent may have:
I don t deserve to live.
I d rather feel pain than feel nothing.
I hate everything I just want to destroy everything.
I just want the pain to stop.

Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics And The Rosetta Stone
Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics was one of Egypt s great mysteries that were very difficult to figure
out. Hieroglyphics are pictures or symbols that represent words, used in the writing system of ancient
Egypt. The word hieroglyphic is Greek and literally means holy writings . So it would make since that
Pharaohs names were written in hieroglyphics in their tombs because they were considered powerful
and righteous. Thus, what was the key to unlock the translation of the hieroglyphics? The Rosetta
Stone was discovered in 1799, by French soldiers who were building a fort near the Egyptian village
of Rosetta. The soldiers noticed a dark, grey stone of granite sticking out of the ground that was
attached to a wall inside of an ottoman fortress. They dug the piece of stone out and it stood about four
feet tall and two and a half feet wide. With closer examination they realized it contained lines of
writing. The soldiers notified the chief general in Egypt, Jacques Francoise Menou, because they
understood that they have discovered something valuable. Months later, the stone was shipped to
Napoleon for greater inspection. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
General Menou actually tried to take the stone as his personal property, but the English realized its
value and the British captured Egypt in 1801 and transferred the Rosetta Stone to the British Museum.

parts of the stone had crumbled. The Rosetta Stone was engraved with two languages, Egyptian and

revealed that the Greek writing might give clues to the meaning of the Egyptian

Subaru took a bold and very risky move in 2005 by upping the STI s engine from a 2.0L engine to a
2.5L. Although it may not sound like a large increase, it proved to be just what Subaru needed to keep
the fire burning when it came to their continuous wins in rally tournaments. The new and improved
STI now sported a 2.5L turbocharged flat 4 engine, now pulling a little over 300 horsepower at stock.
The EVO did manage to hold up surprisingly well to the new STI while only having a 2.0L
turbocharged engine; however, The STI, on the other hand, does not disappoint in that area. Power
from the Subaru s larger 2.5 liter turbocharged flat 4 comes in early and seems to stay fairly linear
where the Evo s power kicks in abruptly. The STI has consistently offered more popularity among car
enthusiasts due to its larger and more powerful turbocharged engine that pulls more boost, torque, and
horsepower over the EVO. The car culture and community around the STI has continuously increased
due to its increased power and pizazz then the EVO that can hold up with the STI, but doesn t offer the
immense power STI owners have come to love. The 6 speed transmission of the STI proved to be of a
crucial benefit as it allowed for better control over the driver s car due to the less limiting gear ranges.

The Presence Of Nurses With Their Patients
In September 2013 a study by Janis Tuxbury was published researching the presence felt among
telehealth nurses with their interaction with their patients. This study was a qualitative study, which
employed interviews of the nurses as the basis of data information. In this study, they asked the nurses
to specifically report instances with their patients that signified presence while delivering care and
education. Tuxbury defined presence as a flow of communication between the nurse and the patient
that benefit both the nurse and the patient. The study further defined the process of presence in
telehealth as the call, the response, the choice to participate in dialogue, meeting, relating, and, lastly,

Furthermore, the nurses recollection of how the interaction proceeded could introduce bias because
the nurses may have thought they were interacting well with the patients when in fact the patient s
were not; this could be corrected by tape recording, once again, and also interviewing the nurse and
the patient after the conversation to determine their satisfaction. Another limitation to Tuxbury s study
was that the sample was only taken from one geographical area, which could lead to bias and future
studies should expand the geographical sampling area.
Tuxbury s study about presence felt during the nurse patient interaction during a phone call was done
as a qualitative study because it spoke about a state of feeling that was immeasurable. In 2006, a team

Systole
▪ Blood returning to the heart will freely flow from the atria to the ventricles as the AV valves kept
open by the pressure in the atria
▪ The sinoatrial node (pacemaker) receives signals to fire when the ventricles are almost full (~70%)
▪ The contraction of the atria (atrial systole) causes blood to fill the ventricles to the maximum
▪ The signal from the SA node is transferred to the AV node and then via Purkinje fibres to cause the
delayed contraction of the ventricles
▪ As the ventricles contract, the increase of pressure in the ventricles closes the AV valves, causing the

Diastole
▪ The increased pressure causes the semilunar valves to open and blood to flow away from the heart
▪ As the blood flows into the arteries, the pressure falls in the ventricles
▪ This causes some arterial back flow, which closes the semilunar valves and causes the second heart
sound ( dub )
When the pressure in the ventricle drops below the pressure in the atria the AV valves open and the
cardiac cycle can repeat
▪ The contraction of the heart tissue (myocardium) is myogenic, meaning the signal for cardial
contraction arises within the heart muscle itself
▪ Within the wall of the right atrium are a specialised plexus of nerves called the sinoatrial node (SAN)
▪ The sinoatrial node initiates contraction of the cardiace muscle and acts as a pacemaker, regulating
normal sinus rhythm
▪ It stimulates atria to contract and, when excitation reaches the junction between atria and ventricles,
stimulates another node (atrioventicular node)
▪ The atrioventricular node (AVN) sends signals via the Bundle of His to Purkinje fibres, which cause
ventricular contraction This sequence always ensures their is a delay between atrial and ventricular
contractions, resulting in maximum blood

Pell Grant Advantages
The United States federal government provides needs based grants through the Federal Pell Grant
Program. Administered through the U.S. Department of Education, The Pell Grant award can be used
by the student at any of the estimated 5,400 participating postsecondary institutions for tuition, books,
transportation, and living expenses. Eligibility for the Pell Grant program requires the student to
demonstrate financial need, complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and
provide financial information to determine the student s Expected Family Contribution (EFC). A Pell
Grant award is based on the student s EFC, which is calculated by a standard formula established by
Congress. This formula evaluates the information reported on the student s FAFSA, the cost of
attendance at student s chosen college, whether the student will attend part time or full time, and if the
student will attend a half academic or full academic year. The maximum award a student can receive
for the 2017 18 academic year will be $5,920. More than seven million students in the United States
are expected to receive a Pell Grant award to go to college.

Middle School And High School
Growing up I had one favorite class, that class, surprisingly, was English. I was born in Zacatecas,
Mexico on May 9th, 1998 and was brought to the United States at the age of two. When my parents
tried to enroll me into a pre kindergarten program they were told that it was unnecessary because I was
way beyond my age group. My parents told me that it was from all of the Scooby Doo shows I
watched growing up. When kindergarten arrived, I was still forced to take an English Learners class so
I could get the best help that I could get to improve my English skills. I remember sitting in that class
watching all the other students have a difficult time pronouncing simple words that they should be
able to say by now. I stayed in that class until ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 10th grade I had an English teacher by the name of Mrs. Hurley. The school year started with me
disliking her, I thought she was extremely rude and was just cranky all the time. In her class is where I
read my first Shakespeare play, Romeo and Juliet she made that unit extremely amusing. She had us
split into families and we would have battles, they consisted of games and quizzes. I was Lord Capulet
and my team won of course. After 10th grade she became my advisory teacher in 12th grade. She
easily became one of my favorite teachers that constantly teased me on my obsession with Adele. The
teacher that made the biggest impact in my life was Mrs. Marn. She was an extremely caring teacher,
she did not like watching her students fail. She made sure that everyone had everything they needed to
be successful. She was, I believe, one of the best English teacher Brooklyn Center High School has
ever had. Her passion for books were out of this world. She talked about authors as if though she has
met them. She reminded me of a hippie in some sorts. She was very open with us and I was close to
her. She was my teacher for 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. I read, The Catcher in The Rye in her class and
she tore that book up piece by piece, explaining every motive and how innocence is huge part of that
book. She was my teacher for the college in the schools courses that I took. I felt like I failed her in
those classes, she expected way more of me and I did not perform to

Reflection On Organizational Behavior
Organizational behavior is a very important topic that only a few students take advantage of. There is
nothing more powerful to have in the workforce than an understanding of the way the people around
you think and act. Having the ability to engage in the work that is being done with coworkers and
supervisors makes the work easier and more enjoyable. Workers can be most productive when they
have strong relationships to the people around them. This is why management and organizational
behavior is one of the most rewarding classes for an undergraduate. Taking the StrengthsFinder test
opened my eyes about my strengths as a leader. I was shocked I got futuristic, however, I was not
surprised to see strategic, empathy, relator, or includer. I tend to like to live my life in the present; I try
and savor and really live through the moments happening in front of me. However, I do tend to dote
on the future and how terrified I am of it. The assessment says futuristic leaders are inspired by the
future, but it truly terrifies me. I hope to look into this strength further in this course and discover how
I can use the future to propel me, and those around me, forward. The other strengths I received are
very encouraging, as all will likely give me an edge on any professional team. I have always had a
very analytical and strategic mind, and this strength will be an asset to any company when it comes to
problem solving or strengthening the company. In regards to forming professional relationships, I have
never really had an issue. I have always welcomed in new people and invited those I felt might have
been left out to be my friend too. Being a relator and an includer in a professional setting will give me
the opportunity to develop powerful and meaningful bonds with coworkers and supervisors. Keeping
these relationships will be easy for me as I am a keen observer of the human condition and I know
when others are feeling sad or down. I am always empathetic, and I do my best to help whoever it may
be back to their feet. In a professional setting, empathy can help me see myself in a coworkers shoes
and this could resolve disputes or even help them when they are in times of need. All of my strengths

Introvert Sensing Thinking Judging By Theodor Geisel
Theodor Geisel writes Today you are you and this is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer

individuals with different characteristic and qualities. We can be sorted into general groups but we all
will still have our differences. I am an ISTJ or Introvert Sensing Thinking Judging. My personality
overall is serious but what makes me who I am is that I enjoy having fun and don t fit perfectly into
any box people try to put me in. ISTJ is a good fit for me but it doesn t perfectly because the only title
that fits me perfectly is Julia Ann Rhoad

Guardians are seen as the cornerstones of society. Belonging is important to them. They do the
thankless jobs that no one else wants to do and are big on fallowing the rules. I think that this is a good
description of me, I tend to put others ahead of myself and at the end of an event one can more than
likely find me cleaning up after others or doing whatever nobody else will do. I have a need to know
and be liked by others. I try hard not to step on others toes and try to participate in as many activities
as possible to feel useful and to get to know others. My ISTJ personality as a whole is summed up as
being open and natural in conversation but precise and to the point. ISTJs are sticklers for the rules,
not very good at emotional communications, people who values step by step approaches and likes
making the tough calls. I see this as a fairly accurate representation of myself. I think I am pretty good
at carrying on a conversation with only a small amount of awkwardness. At first, I didn t see myself as
a precise and to the point person, but the more I thought about it the more I realized it was true. I am a
very goal oriented person, when conversation strays, I try to redirector it back to the topic I was
originally trying to discuss. I am one of those people that operates best when things are specifically
laid out step by step for them, especially on things like homework assignments. I am a huge stickler
for the rules, I am not good at breaking them. It makes me nervous and uncomfortable, just thinking
about it. Normally when I am given a choice to break the rules I sit and contemplate it for a vast
amount of time and then talk myself out of

The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health...
INTRODUCTION
The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, (NACCHO) is an existing
representation of the hope of Aboriginal communities and their fight for self rule. NACCHO is the
nationwide climax organization representative. It controls over 150 Aboriginal Community Health
Services (ACCHSs) across the country on Aboriginal health and issues.
BACKGROUND
Since the 1970 s, many Indigenous communities have established their own independent, community
controlled health services (ACCHs) and an over arching representatives advocacy body, the National
Aboriginal Controlled Community Health Organisation (NACCHO previously NAIHO) was formed
in 1975.
The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) was established in
1992, as the new national ACCHS umbrella organisation replaced the NAIHO.
By changing the name it reflected the fact that Torres Strait Islanders undertook their own campaign
for self determination. However, they wished to establish their own representative organisations. The
history of it extends back to a meeting in Albury in 1974. In 1997, NACCHO was funded by the
Federal Government to launch a branch in Canberra. It significantly increased the Aboriginal Peoples
involvement capability in ACCHSs. However, this contributed the participation in national health
policy development.

Role Of Service Quality And Relational Benefits On...
Sayasonti (2015) investigated the factors discussed in the literature which influence customer
perceived service quality; customer satisfaction and customer repurchase intention in the auto
insurance industry in Thailand. According the analysis of the study, the assurance dimension was a
key determinant of a customer assessment of service quality in the auto insurance industry in
Thailand. And there was a linear relationship between customer satisfactions, perceived service
quality of the company, perception of company image and customer repurchase intentions was found
to have a positive significant relationship. His study also indicated that there is no significant
relationship between customer loyalty and customer satisfaction. The paper found that the size of the
insurance company and the switching cost were slightly significant in moderating the initial
relationship between customer satisfaction and customers repurchase intention.
Mackay, Mostert and Petzer (2015) as per their study investigated the effect of service quality and
relational benefits on customer satisfaction, as well as the effect of customer satisfaction on
behavioural intentions in the short term insurance industry. The findings showed, one way
differentiation has been achieved, was to adopt a customer focused approach where short term insurers
engage in CRM initiatives such as providing quality services and relational benefits to satisfy
customer needs and subsequently retain customers over the long

Jonbenet Ramsey Murder
Computed over a seventy five year life span, this equates to a one in two hundred chance of being
murdered at some point in an Americans life span (Ghiglieri, 1999). Boulder, Colorado is more
dangerous murders than the six cities around it (city data.com, 2017) When considering the motives,
the lack of presence, and crime scene it is clear Burke Ramsey, Patsy Ramsey, and John Ramsey
committed and covered up the murder of JonBenet Ramsey. Burke had plenty of motives that led to
killing his sister JonBenet Ramsey. In fact, Burke made it clear that he was jealous of his sister getting
all the attention from their parents. Their dad was always busy with work and their mom was always
busy with JonBenet s career (The Forensic outreach, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, Patsy and John would do anything for their son even if he committed a crime they would
still help him get away with it. While testing samples of the Ramsey s handwriting John and Burke
were ruled out for writing the ransom note but, Patsy was never ruled out, professionals found about
two hundred similarities between the note and her handwriting, she also changed her handwriting
several times (A E television networks, 2016). Someone would not need to change their handwriting
so many times unless they had something to hide. However, maybe the reason the crime was never
solved was because Patsy had more information. Patsy died of ovarian cancer on June twenty forth,
two thousand six ; in the middle of the investigation (A E television network, 2016). They did not
question her enough before she died maybe she had the answers or more information. To add, Patsy
knew there was more information needed to be gathered in the house. Patsy agreed to not let
investigators proceed to gather DNA and information in the house after a few days of investigating
(Ryan Gajauski, 2016). Would she not want all the information needed to find out who killed her
daughter? For example, if someone just found out their child died they would not know where the
child s body was right away. John Ramsey suspiciously knew exactly where JonBenet s body was

Sociological Explanations For Gender Difference
TITLE: outline and assess sociological explanations for gender difference in patterns of crime.
What is the relationship between crime and masculinity?
Crime can be described as an act that harmful to an individual as well as the society; such acts are
against and punishable by the law. While deviance can be described as acting against social norms, for
example a boy wearing a skirt would be out of place in the society
The sex role theory states that, when young males and females are younger they socialise in different
ways, resulting in young males being more reckless and neglectful. There are several sociologist and
different versions of the sex theory. Edwin Sutherland stated that the gender difference when it comes
to socialisation is very obvious. Girls are treated with more supervision and control, while boys are
treated not as strict as the girls and are emboldened to take more risk to be tough, which makes boys
more inclined and a higher tendency of committing crimes. Talcott parsons believes that there are
clear gender roles in a nuclear family, where the father performs the instrumental role which portrays
him as a leader and provider, while the mother performs the expressive role of providing emotional
support and talking of the children.
For girls, because their female role model who is their mother is always available unlike for boys who
don t not have as much access to the male figure in their lives (the father) because traditionally the
father would be at

Doing Cutting Edge Research Work At Leading Universities...
Doing cutting edge research work at leading universities paints a full image of my dream. Conducting
leading edge academic research to advance business knowledge as a learned scholar has always
appealed to me much more than conducting operating strategies to maximize corporate value as a
chief officer. For me, nothing can compared with the eagerness to discover new things, the rapture of
acquiring much knowledge, the satisfaction after intellectual interactions. To fulfill my career goal as
an outstanding academic researcher in finance area, I would like to pursue a doctoral degree by
dedicating my full time to a research intensive program, which can offer the right foundation to help
me get ahead. I believe that the Ph.D. program in Business Administration (with concentration in
Finance) would be invaluable in helping me meet my long term goal.
My desire to become a researcher stems from both my personality and my experience. Born in a
family full of educators, I value knowledge more than wealth. Intelligence is the main asset in my
family both my parents devote themselves in research and teaching as professors in universities,
though they have different specialty. Asking questions constantly and searching for answers are
greatly encouraged. And elders extol virtues mostly when I show curiosity, erudition and initiative.
But actually, I didn t come to decide on my lifetime career goal just simply to follow in my parents
footsteps. I have tried something else and also

Cluster Analysis And Factor Analysis
Introduction
Cluster analysis has many different algorithms and methods to classify objects(Saunders, 1994). One
of the challenges faced by the researchers in different areas is to organize their data which is possible
by cluster analysis, it is a data analysis tool which focus on classifying the different objects into
groups such that the degree of association of the objects in a same group is highest if they belong and
least if they do not belong. Cluster analysis is a simple term, it does not identify any statistical method
or model and also there is no need to make any assumptions about distribution of data, it is used to
form groups of relevant variables without providing any explanation (Stockburger, n.d.).
Despite their popularity, cluster analysis do provide a great opportunity for confusion and
misapplication when compared to factor analysis, discriminant analysis and multidimensional scaling
(Saunders, 1994). Both cluster analysis and factor analysis is used to organize the data into clusters or
onto factors, most of the researchers who are new to this concept may feel that these two analyses are
same, but they differ in many ways, the main objective of cluster analysis is to categorize the data,
whereas factor analysis simplify the data, it explains the correlation in a set of data and relate variables
to each other (Verial, n.d.). Cluster analysis and discriminant analysis are the two terms where we can
often get confused, the basic difference between them is

  • 2. Parole Is The Release Of A Convicted Offender Parole is the release of a convicted offender after he or she has completed a portion of his or her prison sentence (Alarid Del Carmen, 2012). Probation is a form of sentence for violating the law, which suspends the convicted offender s sentence for a period of time and releases the offender back into the community under specific conditions (Alarid Del Carmen, 2012). The start of probation can be linked to England s criminal law. During Henry VIII s time, harsh sanctions were placed on adults and children for violations of the law that were sometimes minor (New York City Government, 2015). The upper class members of the society eventually became dissatisfied with the harsh punishments and became bothered with the change of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Before the mid nineteenth century offenders received determinate sentences in prison (Rank, n.d.). Determinate sentence is a non negotiable sentence of incarceration for the specific amount of time as required by statute for that specific crime (U.S. Legal, 2015). Determinate sentencing became problematic because prisons were often overcrowded, which forced governors to issue pardons or prison wardens had to randomly release inmates to make room for new intake (Rank, n.d.). Captain Alexander Maconochie and Sir Walter Crofton are credited for implementing early parole system in England (Rank, n.d.). Maconochie was governor of an English penal colony at Norfolk Island (Rank, n.d.). Convicted English offenders were transported to Australia from England and from Australia to the island; unfortunately, the conditions were extremely bad for the offenders (Rank, n.d.). Maconochie discontinued determinate sentencing and created a mark system (Rank, n.d.). Under the mark system , inmates could be granted release from prison based upon their hard work and good behavior (Rank, n.d.). Inmates earned marks, which were used to buy a reduction in sentence or goods; unfortunately, inmates had to undergo a variety of stages before they were released and the climbing through the stages depended on the number of marks received (Rank, n.d.). Similar to Maconochie, Sir Walter Crofton was convinced that the prison sentence should not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Stereotype Of A Young Girl 1. As a young girl, I have always associated most white people with the quality of being rude or racist. For example, not holding doors as I walked behind them or ignoring my friendly smiles and/or comments. I vividly remember several occasions where I would be walking two steps being a Caucasian person and they would fail to hold the door open allowing it to slam in my face. There is also an uneasy stare that is given while shopping, such as following African Americans around the store to watch them to make sure they are not stealing. The belief that white people are rude is not limited to black people, but other minorities as well because their cultural beliefs and practices are often disrespected. 2. The stereotype emerged from personal experiences throughout my daily life. My mother would also agree that most individuals who are white are rude to minorities because of their sense of entitlement. She would often have to console me because at a young age, I would acknowledge the difference in treatment I received. In reference to other cultures, their cultural beliefs are often disregarded and are not given the time to understand. When someone is not fluent in English, they are often disregarded instead of taking the time is comprehend their statement. Blacks are automatically characterized as thieves or hoodlums, Muslims are terrorist and Mexicans are all labor workers, which are incorrect statements and over generalized. 3. As a result, thinking that most Caucasians ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. My Meme Speech For as long as I can remember, My Meme has been one of the most intelligent and godly people I know. She and my Pawpaw helped my single mother raise me and my two sisters. They played a huge part in turning me into the person I am today. Whether it was something that you needed to know or when you were feeling down, Meme was there. She was a librarian and a teacher for decades and everyone of her former students I ve met talk about how she was their favorite. Meme was also the first to send out birthday or get well letters to members of our church, friends, and family. A few years ago, she started to act a little strange and ditzy. At first we just thought she was getting goofy in her old age, but as time went on, things got worse. At first, she stopped recognizing little things like food being spoiled or the smell of gas. One day, I came into Meme and Pawpaw s house and the air reeked of gas. Meme had unknowingly left the gas stove on, unlit. I turned it off and cleared the air by opening up some doors and windows. Soon we began to recognize that Meme was showing signs of Alzheimers. Eventually we couldn t have candles in the house and we had to take the keys to Meme s car. My Pawpaw s sight physical condition wouldn t allow him to drive, but my Meme couldn t understand why we wouldn t let her. Before we took them, we would find her driving aimlessly around town or circling the high school, looking for the post office. Then three years ago, on the morning of August 23rd, my step dad Larry came into my room and woke me up. Pawpaw had passed away in his sleep. The world stopped spinning, but my head went reeling as I sat in my bed, surrounded by the darkness of the room. He was the best man I ever knew and his death broke the hearts of so many. However, the one person who would have been affected the most by his death couldn t quite grasp the concept of it. When the funeral home gave us the box of Pawpaw s ashes for a service, it peaked her curiosity. After she finally made us explain to her that Pawpaw s remains were in the box, she said Where s the rest of him? I bet they cut his legs off! . Meme eventually recognized that Pawpaw was gone and he isn t coming back. But even in her fractured mental state, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. What Is The Main Idea Of Race Talk Although the primary utilization of this book is centered on the psychological aspects of racial dialogues viz. race talk, it also exposes the irrational fears, attitudes, and beliefs, inherent in our (The United States) society. It is about the persistent avoidance of honest dialogues on race that may uncover the true inequalities and injustices inflicted on people of color. What talking about race does is open the dialogue and allow a view of the lived experience of those who suffer from oppression. It potentially grasps these experiences and presents the possibility of moving the reader from a perceived nonracist being into the realm of antiracism. From the nonracist point of view, one can be silent on the topic of race and hold firm ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Holistic Recovery Most injured athletes have the potential to fully recover to their pre injury level of performance and fitness ( Arvinen Barrow Walker, 2013) however, a vast majority fail to do so (Taylor and Taylor, 1997). • 8. Essay On The Shawshank Redemption During the final sequence of The Shawshank Redemption, Frank Darabont, the director, used dialogue, symbolism and different camera techniques to create meaning for the viewer. These techniques helped to portray the idea of hope, freedom and determination, through the scenes. They built tension, keeping the viewers interest, and showed admiration in the relationship between Red and Andy. The first of these techniques, dialogue, was largely used by Darabont, in the form of a voice over. It was used throughout the entire film, but the director s use of non diagetic dialogue when Andy was escaping brought emotion and left the viewer to think. One of these, Norton, the warden at Shawshank, found his own freedom by killing himself in the final sequence of the film. Darabont combined a series of low angle shots throughout the film to develop the strong, intimidating presence Norton had over the prisoners. Even when he was being corrupt, we saw the warden from a low angle. For example, we see him like this when he is outside, talking to Tommy before he is shot. The camera use keeps Norton looking superior, even when he had planned the murder of one of the inmates. Nothing of what he is doing is superior, but the director continued to give this impression. It built Norton s character, making the viewer believe that what he was doing was okay. Although we saw the corrupt things that Norton did, it didn t seem bad. This was because of the low camera shots that Darabont decided to use. Nothing Norton did seemed terrible, when if anyone else did it, it would be disgusting. The low angle shots made the viewer believe that Norton was so superior, that everything he did was right. Even after Andy had escaped and the police were knocking on the office door, Norton was seen through the same low angle shot. This didn t change until he had pulled the trigger on the gun, and killed himself. Frank Darabont used a high angle shot for the first time on Norton, after he was dead. This finally showed the viewer his true personality, when Norton didn t have the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Autoinjectors 1. Introduction Mass casualty situations are common with most of the natural disasters like earth quake, tsunami, flood, avalanche, explosion, accidents, building collapse, military operations and terrorism. Injuries and wound infections are very common in such disasters that need immediate management; otherwise it may lead to morbidity and mortality. Medical management is very difficult at that situation as the access to hospital sector would be either not possible or difficult. • 10. Essay on Jay Gatsby’s Dangerous Illusions in The Great Gatsby Jay s Dangerous Illusions in The Great Gatsby America is a land of opportunity and hopes and dreams can become reality. The American Dream consists of the notion that the struggling poor can achieve financial success through hard work. F. Scott Fitzgerald s novel, The Great Gatsby, puts this premise to the test while also warning against the dangers of believing too passionately in any dream. The central character, Jay Gatsby, proves a tragic hero who succeeds financially but fails emotionally when he attempts to hold onto something from the past (Mizener 126). Not a second passes that Gatsby does not obsess about what could have been had things worked out differently five years before. Jay Gatsby s current state is one of emptiness and despair because he fails to live in the present by dwelling too much in the past. Gatsby and Daisy are alike in the fact that both carry well forgotten dreams from age to age (Fitzgerald 143), but Daisy has moved on with her marriage to Tom, while Gatsby is left stretching out his arms toward the dark water in a curious way (Fitzgerald 25). Gatsby finally musters the courage to become reunited with Daisy Buchanan, with the help of his next door neighbor, Nick Carraway. Nick holds tea at his house and invites the unsuspecting Daisy. For a few minutes at least, the two connect with passionate intensity, but Nick makes the observation that: There must have been moments even that afternoon when Daisy tumbled short of his dreams not through her own fault but because of the colossal vitality of his illusion. It had gone beyond her, beyond everything. He had thrown himself into it with a creative passion, adding to it all the time, decking it out with every bright feather that drifted his way. In contrast to knowledge, wisdom is generally considered to be morally good. What makes this correct? Albert Einstein once said, Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it. A process such as gaining wisdom is lengthy and arduous, which teaches the pursuer patience and humility. Seldom have we found a person who is unchanged by such a trial. When one finally uncovers insight that they believe to be universally applicable, wisdom or truth, it often inspires those to make the best of the life they have and use this newly found wisdom to grow and to build themselves in a way they deem acceptable for themselves. In Douglas Adam s novel The Hitchhiker s Guide to the Galaxy, wisdom is subtly spoken of as a topic of discussion. For example, there is an argument on the subject of whether or not God exists based on His and man s logic. It states: Now it is such a bizarrely improbable coincidence that anything so mindbogglingly useful could have evolved purely by chance that some thinkers have chosen to see it as a final and clinching proof of the non existence of God. The argument goes something like this: I refuse to prove that I exist, says God, for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing. But, says Man, the Babel fish is a dead giveaway isn t it? • 13. Declaration Of Independence Rhetorical Analysis Essay The physicality of an individual can endure many trials, but the resilience of the soul can overcome the greatest obstacles. The hearts of many American colonists grew weary as they continued their path of adversity for independence. The American colonists faced the toughest battles toward the end of the 18th century, where they experienced physical hardships and faintness of their soul. To overcome British tyranny, the deteriorating colonies needed to unite with one internal desire. The Declaration of Independence consisted of many key components that gave the colonists reason to join arms and fight for their independence. An example from the Declaration of Independence, He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people (US 1776). In this quote, Jefferson writes about King George III ruining the lives of American colonists. Jefferson s goal was to open the eyes of the colonists to fight against King George s tyranny. Colonists gained inspiration from Jefferson s work, and they united with one common goal to gain independence. Though this document was intended to inspire the colonists, it was also written as a formal and official document so that King George III would interpret it in a serious manner. M. Hassanein, S. El Khalafy*, S. Shendy Tanta University, Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry, Tanta 31527, Egypt. Abstract 5, 10, 15, 20 tetraphenylporphyrinatocobalt(II) showed good catalytic activity towards oxidation of 3,5 di tert butylcatechol to 3,5 di tert butyl benzoquinone by dioxygen in dimethylformamide. The oxidation reaction was followed by measuring dioxygen uptake. The rate constant of oxidation reaction showed a linear dependence on catalyst concentration and saturation kinetics in both 3,5 di tert butylcatechol concentration and dioxygen pressure. The kinetic parameters have been determined using Michaelis Menten approach. A mechanism has been suggested for the oxidation reaction. Adolescent males use firearms, hanging, or jumping from height as method of suicide while females tend to commit suicide by overdosing on drugs and cutting themselves. Parents who own guns at home must unload, lock, and keep this item out of adolescent reach as a preventive action. Parents must also control all prescription drugs in the house because it is easy access for teenagers to harm themselves. The soldiers noticed a dark, grey stone of granite sticking out of the ground that was attached to a wall inside of an ottoman fortress. They dug the piece of stone out and it stood about four feet tall and two and a half feet wide. With closer examination they realized it contained lines of writing. What is the relationship between crime and masculinity? Crime can be described as an act that harmful to an individual as well as the society; such acts are against and punishable by the law. While deviance can be described as acting against social norms, for example a boy wearing a skirt would be out of place in the society The sex role theory states that, when young males and females are younger they socialise in different ways, resulting in young males being more reckless and neglectful. There are several sociologist and different versions of the sex theory. Edwin Sutherland stated that the gender difference when it comes to socialisation is very obvious. Girls are treated with more supervision and control, while boys are treated not as strict as the girls and are emboldened to take more risk to be tough, which makes boys more inclined and a higher tendency of committing crimes. • 32. Cluster Analysis And Factor Analysis Introduction Cluster analysis has many different algorithms and methods to classify objects(Saunders, 1994). One of the challenges faced by the researchers in different areas is to organize their data which is possible by cluster analysis, it is a data analysis tool which focus on classifying the different objects into groups such that the degree of association of the objects in a same group is highest if they belong and least if they do not belong. Cluster analysis is a simple term, it does not identify any statistical method or model and also there is no need to make any assumptions about distribution of data, it is used to form groups of relevant variables without providing any explanation (Stockburger, n.d.). Despite their popularity, cluster analysis do provide a great opportunity for confusion and misapplication when compared to factor analysis, discriminant analysis and multidimensional scaling (Saunders, 1994). Both cluster analysis and factor analysis is used to organize the data into clusters or onto factors, most of the researchers who are new to this concept may feel that these two analyses are same, but they differ in many ways, the main objective of cluster analysis is to categorize the data, whereas factor analysis simplify the data, it explains the correlation in a set of data and relate variables to each other (Verial, n.d.). Cluster analysis and discriminant analysis are the two terms where we can often get confused, the basic difference between them is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
