Further as the KAM paradigm predicts, the subprime mortgage meltdown and its aftermath have
brought numerous civil and criminal actions. For example, mortgage fraud in the US, including
Federal and state prosecution, is growing dramatically. Suspicious activity reports related to mortgage
fraud increased over 1000% between 1997 and 2005 and pending FBI mortgage fraud investigations
rose from 436 in fiscal 2002 to 1210 in fiscal 2007 (Grant, 2008). The huge increases in the US
mortgage market and its increasing complexity have opened many attractive opportunities for
fraudsters across a range of financial activities and institutions. The most common frauds involve
property flipping or other schemes to get proceeds from mortgages or property sales via misleading
appraisals or false documentation. The SEC is also looking at insider trading related to unexpected
write downs by publicly traded companies with assets tied to mortgage backed securities. Further
plaintiffs lawyers and their clients have been active in making other claims such as misrepresentation
or failure to disclose materials information, trying to recover some of the billions of dollars in losses.
However, to grasp the subprime bubble and meltdown in its development, subsequent crash and
current aftershocks, one must first understand the key changes that occurred in the financial markets

Death And The Maiden Rationality
Rationality vs. Will Power: A Fight for Closure Psychological damage strikes the core of an individual
and can lead to irrational actions and poor judgement. Through an examination of Paulina Salas
actions throughout Death and the Maiden, Ariel Dorfman successfully characterizes her as a survivor
through her fight for closure. Although her ways may not seem rational, her fight symbolizes the
desperation felt by victims of the torture in Chile. This demonstrates that strength cannot always be
measured in rationality, but more so in the will power of an individual. This is seen in the way Paulina
acts towards Dr. Roberto Miranda, her reaction to Gerardo joining the Rettig Commission, and her
search for personal justice for the duration of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Paulina believes there will be no justice for her, and when she finds out about Gerardo s new task, her
pursuit for what is right begins to develop, and Dorfman is able to characterize her as damaged and
wanting justice prior to the introduction of Dr. Miranda. Gerardo was appointed as the lawyer to the
Rettig Report created by the first democratic president Patricio Aylwin to investigate humans rights
violations following Augusto Pinochet s communist rule of Chile. The commission only pursued
violations ending in death or presumption of death and the idea is that if [the commission] throw light
on the worst crimes, other abuses will also come to light (9). Paulina starts to get edgy and starts
getting defensive towards Gerardo after she discovers the commission only investigates cases of
death, and this means Paulina would not receive a trial. This makes Paulina furious, as she was under
the impression that her and Gerardo would be able to put Paulina s torturer and the others all on trial.
Another key phrase that demonstrates Paulina s continuous fight for the justice she deserves is when
Gerardo refers to the cases he will investigate as the ones that are beyond let s say, repair. and Paulina
responds with Beyond repair. Irreparable, huh? (9) To Paulina, her case is beyond repair too, and to a
high degree. She is haunted to listen to Schubert, just because of her torture.

The End Of World War II And Creation Of The United Nations
The end of World War II and creation of the United Nations (UN) in 1945, set the world on a new
evolutionary path. This unique evolution commenced with the United States (US) and the Union of
Soviet Socialists Republics (USSR) as world powers as a result of their distinctive roles in ending
World War II. Their contradicting ideologies as to the basis of this new evolution sparked a cold war
bringing fear and great concerns to the masses. Inspite of the intensity of this war, the UN assumed its
responsibilities in ensuring peace and encouraging both nations to peacefully sort out their differences.
This consequently recorded the first involvement of the UN in the world superpowers affairs.
Currently, the evolution transits into new superpowers; the United States an established power and
China a rising power. In contrast to the US USSR relations, the new superpowers emphasize on
constructive bilateral relations that propose to foster cooperation, mutual respect and promote global
development. This essay, indicates the importance of unified trilateral efforts and collaborative
multilateral cooperation between the US, China and the UN. These world powers have thriven through
socio economic decline to expand their economy, joined forces to propagate the global economic
growth and strength. It further describes the beneficial relationship of the US and China to
international society by their constructive roles and responsibilities. The essay also highlights the

What Does Pink Floyd Represent
Founded in 1965, the British Progressive and Psychedelic rock band Pink Floyd was formed. The
band achieved international success in their use of philosophical lyrics, sonic experimentation,
extended compositions and elaborate live shows. They have been considered one of the most
commercially successful and influential groups in the history of popular music. The song Money
written for their 1973 album Dark Side of the Moon, quickly became the band s first hit in the United
States when released as a single, reaching #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song has been noted as
being unusual for its use of 7/4 4/4 time signature and the sound effects of money that happen

A prospective, randomized, controlled trial was conducted during the study. One family member per
patient was assessed over the telephone 90 days after the patient s death. The measurements collected
include the symptoms related to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other significant
symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Study Variables For this study patient families were randomly assigned to the intervention or control
group. In the control group the interactions between the family and ICU staff, including the end of life
conference, occurred according to the usual practices and policies in the hospital; whereas in the
intervention group, the research study was conducted according to specific guidelines. A bereavement
information leaflet was given to each surrogate decision maker. In this research, the independent
variable can be the type of family conference received by the surrogates and the dependent variables
were the level of stress, anxiety, and depression levels indicated in the 90 day follow up interview.
Conceptual Model / Theoretical framework In this research study, authors chose to relate the research
article to Sister Callista Roy s Adaptation Model. Roy s adaptation model can be applied in this study
because of the family member s opportunity

Literary Analysis Of The Cask Of Amontillado
The story, The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allen Poe, is a narration of revenge and murder crafted
and committed in the most of secretive ways, that the victim, Fortunato, did not recognize the murder
plan until at the very last point of last breath. The story, narrated by Montresor, gives an account of an
oppressed individual, who had patiently and submissively subjected to oppression, until insults began,
and he could no longer take any more. The narrator had been oppressed many times by the victim
against whom he seeks revenge. In the very opening of the narration, the narrator claims to have been
hurt by the victim numerous times when stating THE thousand injuries of Fortunato I had borne as I
best could (Poe, n.p.). However, while suffering quietly from all the injuries he had received from
Fortunato, Montresor had crafted a plan for revenge, which he ensured the target victim would not
detect. Indeed, Montresor continued to mask his evil plans against the victim through acting nicely
towards him and also maintaining a smile that only him knew was informed by the thought of revenge
(Poe, n.p.). Indeed, Montresor no doubt comes out as very crafty, and the secretively crafted plan of
revenge against Fortunato he made can be lauded as being genius. Nevertheless, this discussion holds
the argument that it is Fortunato s skepticism, as opposed to Montresor s definitive and genius plan,
that materializes the revenge.
The story, The Cask of Amontillado , is a

Rafay-Burns Injustice
The two episodes of Confession Tapes, the Rafay Burns Appeal website, and the response to King
County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg by Innocence International raise serious questions about the
evidentiary basis for the convictions of Atif Rafay and Sebastian Burns, including the credibility of
their taped confessions during the Mr. Big operation and the pressured testimony of Jimmy Miyoshi.
The Rafay Burns Appeal team has pointed out the following observations to me about the crime scene
that point towards another perpetrator: 1) A fingerprint was found on the shower that does not belong
to anyone who lived in the household. The shower was likely used by the perpetrator(s) following the
murder. 2) Blood was found in the shower, along with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The outcome of the attack weakens the prosecution s accusation that the defendants sought to murder
the entire family with the objective of maximizing life insurance revenue for Atif Rafay. The

Jetblue Airways Ipo Valuation
JetBlue Airways IPO Valuation
Summary
In July 1999, David Neeleman announced his plan to launch a new airline that would bring humanity
back to air travel. Despite the fact the airline industry had 87 new airline failures in U.S. over the past
20 years. Neeleman s plan convinced a group of investors and quickly raised $130 million from
venture capital community. This is the way JetBlue Airways established. With its strong capital base,
JetBlue acquired a fleet of new Airbus A320 aircraft and focused on low cost, point to point service to
large metropolitan areas with high average fares or highly traveled markets that were underserved.
This strategy brought JetBlue Airways an excellent position in the beginning phase. JetBlue Airways

company distributes its own line of appliances for selected discount stores under the brand Royal

Appliance Station must now raise $75 million to modernize the two plants and expand the Phoenix
facility in order to accommodate expected sales increases in Appliance Station s business in the
housing market in the Nevada and Arizona markets. There are three possible financing alternatives to
raise the needed $75 million: 1) a stock issue, 4 million new common shares at a price of $20 per
share. Appliance Station would net $75 million after $5 million cost. 2) a bond issue, ten year
debentures bearing an interest rate of 8%. 3) a combination of stock issue and a bond issue.
Questions
What is the risk of issuing bond?
First, debentures means without any security, it s paid back up on company s earning. Appliance
Station needs to get rating for its bond. If the rating is not good such as BB, then it s not easy to sell
the bond and the interest rate will be higher, so the company might not raise enough money. Second,
Appliance station needs to pay interest for the bond. (AAA rating s interest is the lowest around 1%).

The Importance Of Creating A Business Website
Creating a business website can play a huge impact on your business. It helps establish the
background of your business. By having a secured website it shows people the kind of business it
presents to its customers. In this paper it will present the different ways to create a successful business
website.
First thing you want to do when creating a business is create a domain name. A domain name is the
name of the website. It ranges from 10 to 12 dollars to maintain the domain name every year. Next the
business should get a personalized business email, just in case people want to come in contact with the
business. Secure a business email and not a personal email for the business. Then next you want to

(Fadeyev 2008).
A strategy to take mind of when creating a business website is to think of your competitors who sell or
do the same thing as the business. A strategy would be is to make yourself different than other
competitors, because 9 times out of 10 the customer is going to go to the business website that offers
more and is different. Being different is the key when creating a website because being different the
business can offer more value than its competitors (Fadeyev 2008).
Another Strategy for creating a business website is to choose a template and plugins for your website.
The business should choose a certain software for the website and a host for the website. Choosing a
template for the website will give your website the way the business want it to feel.

Unit 1 Assignment 1
When setting up a new website or business online, one of the most important steps in the process is
the creation of a domain name. A domain name is the name that those on the Internet will use to find
your website. It is contained in the URL for that particular page. It is a quick means to give users a
glimpse into your site. The name you choose might be the name of your company or the services that
you provide. It may include your location or any other information you wish to include. No matter
what information you include, when a user encounters your domain name they should be able to tell
who you are or what service you offer.
Before you start building your website or your professional email addresses, you should verify that

With the limited screen size on phones, space is at a premium. Additionally, shorter names allow for
more versatility when designing a mobile site.
Short domain names give the impression that the site is more trustworthy. Users are more likely to
visit a webpage with a short, easily understood URL than a long name made up various words that
have not relation to one another. Users trust that the domain name that is easily understood has a better
chance of taking them to the webpage they have in mind.
Short domain names are more adaptable for branding. Problems can occur with longer names,
especially if there are space constraints. The shorter names allow creative branding if you wish to
proceed in that direction. For instance, if you launch you site in the United States, and subsequently
wish to share it with other countries, you will have room in your URL to include relevant country
codes such as .eu or .asia. Having a short domain name leaves room for additions such as these.
A short domain name gets your identity across with less chance of confusion. With longer names, the
meaning or identity of the site can become lost among all the words.
A short name will boost your SEO. If your domain name is one easily remembered, it will generate
more clicks. Consequently, this will give you higher rankings on Google, making your website more
successful.
Short names require much less space making it easier to include them on brochures and business

Essay on Narrative Therapy
Abstract
This paper will look at the logic of narrative therapy by focusing on 5 major points. This paper will
begin by discussing how the narrative approach defines and perceives problems. It will address how
narrative therapy views the nature of the relationship between the client and the professional. This
paper will look at how problems are solved using the narrative approach. It will also focus on three
main techniques used in narrative therapy, which will include externalization, deconstruction and re
authoring. This paper will also include a short narrative critique of the medical model. The Logic of

According to Kelley (1996) this process is recommended by narrative therapists because it allows the
client to begin to see where the discourse emerged from. The therapist must first just listen to the story
and determine what the client sees as the existing problem (Kelley, 1996). Then the therapist begins to
ask questions with the intention of bringing forth the full meaning of the problem (Kelley, 1996). In
deconstruction the therapist searches for answers as to who all is involved with the problem, what past
events lead up to the problem development, how the problem changed over time, how the client has
been fighting the problem thus far and how the problem is affecting the client s life (Kelley, 1996).
Kelley (1996) reported that after the therapist has a full understanding of the problem the
deconstruction phase moves on to its second stage. The therapist and the client begin working together
to break down the prevailing story in order to map the influence the problem is having on the client s
life (Kelley, 1996). Mapping the effect of the problem is particularly important because it lays the
foundation of the new story line (Monk, Winslade, Crocket Epston, 1997). According to Monk,
Winslade, Crocket Epston (1997) typically when the effect of the problem is discussed with the client
they begin to feel as if their story has been heard. They

Disease Resistance and the Immune Modulatory Effects on...
Numerous studies have assessed the feasibility and effectiveness of supplementing aquafeeds with a
variety of potentially probiotic bacteria, but probably the most well documented are LAB [41]. Among
LAB, lactobacilli strains have been the focus of much interest. Since, the immune system modulation
strongly dependent on the metabolites they produce, such as proteolysis, could release peptides that
may (or may not) interact with immune cells to induce distinct immunomodulatory response [42].
Though only few strains of lactic acid bacteria (LAB), especially Lactobacillus, have been isolated
from marine environments, their unique characteristics have proved that there is clear potential to use
them as probiotics with advanced health benefits [43]. To the best of our knowledge, the present
investigation was the first report on disease resistance and the immune modulatory effects on Nile
Tilapia using dietary supplemented with marine LAB. Therefore, the present work selected the most
promising marine LAB isolated from Egyptian marine samples and evaluated its effect(s) on innate
immunity and disease resistance of Nile Tilapia fish during 50 days feeding trial. Based on the
physiological characteristics, using API 50 CHL, it is pointed out that the selected isolate R1 is
Lactobacillus plantarum. Furthermore, antimicrobial activities induced by Lb. plantarum against the
fish pathogen, A. hydrophila, could be attributed to the fact that lactobacillus bacteria can be

Presenting People in Two Scavengers in a Truck, Two Beautiful People in a Mercedes, and Island Man
In this essay I will compare the ways in which the poets present people in Two Scavengers in a truck,
two beautiful people in a Mercedes by Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Island Man by Grace Nichols. In
this essay I will look at the shape, structure, poetic devices and language in both poems. Firstly I will
examine what the two poems are about and the ways how both poets portray the people in the poems.
The poem Two Scavengers in a truck, two beautiful people in a Mercedes is about a coincidence

There is no punctuation used throughout the poem but capital letters are. Reading this poem I have
noticed that Lawrence Ferlinghetti uses lots of poetic devices such as alliteration short skirt , repetition
elegant and the , and similes looking down like some gargoyle Quasimodo . This phrase makes me
think of vultures (garbage men) (types of bird that eat dead meat) gazing upon their pray (couple in
the Mercedes.) The language in the poem is very descriptive and vivid. The poet introduces color to
the poem too, to show more vivid images. He did that to attract more of the reader s attention. E.g. He
used color to describe the yellow garbage truck and the traffic light. From this we can see that the poet
uses color effectively. The poem Island Man was written by Grace Nichols. Its about an immigrant
from the West Indies, dreaming about sound of Caribbean sea. He wakes up to the roar of London
traffic. The poet is commenting on the difficulty for immigrant adapt to a urban environment. The
poem Island Man gives us a picture of two different worlds and is based on dreams and reality. The
poem is divided into 6 stanzas. I think that the stanzas are used to contrast the experiences that the
island man have had. There are two distinct parts of the poem, Caribbean and London. In my opinion
looking at this poem the lines reflect the shape and action of the sea. The wave line shape of the

Essay about John Steinbeck Common Themes
Born in 1902 in Salinas, California, Nobel Prize winner, John Steinbeck, was one of the most
important writers in America during the 20th century. In his novels, East of Eden, Of Mice and Men,
Cannery Row, and In Dubious Battle, Steinbeck explores what it takes for a person to find true
happiness in life. Steinbeck addresses the pursuit for happiness in one s life the American Dream , by
questioning modern idea of it being achieved through material items and the path people take to
accomplish it. Steinbeck also addresses the happiness people find in relationships and how connecting

Charles provides a perfect example of the importance a relationship has, and how not having one can
bring out the darkest part of one s personality. Whereas he used East of Eden to focus on the American
Dream of one s desire to make a better life for his or her children, Steinbeck uses Of mice and Men to
focus on the unachievable aspect of the American Dream. In the novella, George and Lennie convey
this theme through their reassurance that they will not have to tend to someone else s ranch and will
soon have there own: O.K. Someday we re gonna get the jack together and we re gonna have a little

few things Lennie remembers. It appears the more times they reassure themselves of this dream, the
more it shifts from reality to fantasy. This dream also catches the imagination of other characters in the
novel, one being Crooks. Crooks, who naturally does not believe in the luxury of dreaming, becomes
transformed by Lennie s thinking: ...If you...guys would want a hand to work for nothing just his keep,
why I d come an lend a hand (Of Mice and Men, p. 73). This quotation suggests every American
succumbs to the idea of the American dream. This quotation also

Science depends on research. Consider our limited opportunities our lives are brief; our vision is
limited; and we can make huge mistakes, when it comes to events we think were before Bible history.
Here are a few examples:
How often the supposed deductions from some scientists are revised or cast aside;
With what readiness the assumed period of the earth s development is from time to time increased or
diminished by millions of years;
How the theories advanced by different scientists conflict with one another,
Considering all this, do we prefer to trace our descent from germs and mollusks and apes when we
could have an infinitely better genealogy: God created man in His own image, in the image of God
created He him ? Genesis 1:27.
We will look at some scientific evidence below, but first we see Bible history is supported by the
science of archeology back to Genesis 11. a chapter with the Towel of Babel that is the basis of the

Similarities Between Kfc And Mcdonalds
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The purpose of the following report is to compare the contribution towards social responsibility of two
competing fast food franchises in South Africa, namely KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) and
McDonald s.
This comparative study will give insight into background information concerning the two franchises:
how they were formed, their mission, their vision, as well as their objectives. The background
information will then be followed by a comparative study of how both franchises contribute towards
social responsibility in the form of charity contributions, scholarships and sport sponsorship.
The Companies Act has been incorporated with sections of the King Code to form what is known as
integrated reporting. It stipulates that in order for a business to be successful, it must understand the
economic, social and environmental context it operates in. Nowadays, company success is not solely
based the amount of profit earned, but it includes how the business contributes in society, a term
known as corporate citizenship. This study will evaluate the corporate citizenship of both franchises to
compare their fairness, transparency, responsibility and accountability when dealing with society as a
whole. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is recommended that the less successful franchise, i.e. KFC, make improvements on its current
business model in the corporate governance area. This is due to the fact that alterations in company
policies and codes of ethics will clearly illustrate what the franchise needs to change, therefore it will
have a better understanding of the improvements needed in order to increase its level of social
responsibility, as well as its

The Pros and Cons of a Multi-Soumyers-Briggs Type...
I. GENERAL INFORMATION
For my research, I have selected to review the Myers Briggs type indicator personality test. The
authors of the test are Katharine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers. Katherine and Isabel are a mother
and daughter team that worked on the test together. They were influenced by the Swiss psychologist,
Carl Jung. In 1921, he published his ideas regarding different personality. Since Catherine and Isabel
had many of the same ideas and agreed with his published work, they conducted research throughout
the 40s, 50s and 60s in order to get additional information for their own test. (The Myers Briggs
Personality Test Why Should I Use It?, 2011) The instrument was first finalized and published in
1943, but almost 37 years ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Personality Tests Even Popular Tests are Controversial , 2009) There is no right or wrong answers to
the test questions that are asked. It simply asks for what is your preference of the choices given. It is
simply looking for your preferences in order to understand the difference between people. (Take the
MBTI® Instrument, No Year) For each of the 16 types of people, none of them are considered to be
better or worse than any of the other types. The results are not compared against any norms. The point
of taking the test is to understand your personality type. When receiving the results the test, the score
is only for helping to identify any possible preferences that could help understand strengths or
weaknesses that the test taker might have. (Cherry, 2012)
C. Test Administration
There are online versions that are available to take informally but they are not the real test. The real
test must be administered by a qualified and trained practitioner. The test is completed by the test taker
and then reviewed and discussed with the practitioner. The test can be taken online but must still have
the follow up discussion with a professional that interprets the results to discuss them with the test
taker. (Cherry, 2012)
There is an ethical approach that is needed when the instrument is being administered. Some of the
aspects that are noted as being part of the ethical process are provided on the Myers Briggs

Wireless Evil Twin Attack
Abstract
In Today s world multiple Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) can coexist in a airspace. Every
wireless mobility devices tries to find the access point through probe request using a unique name that
is the Service Set Identifier (SSID) of the network to make automatic authentication. As a wireless
user you are concerned only with the broadcast SSIDs that let you connect to a WLAN. This paper
discusses about the Wireless Mobility devices communication security issues using Basic Service Set
Identifier BSSID or Extended Service Set Identifier ESSID which a network administrator need to
keep track of. Also it discusses about the available flaws in it and how by modifying the probe request
header we can make the connectivity more secure for the new generation of devices.
Keywords: Wireless, Evil Twin, Wi Fi Security, Security, Exploitation.
Introduction
Every wireless mobility devices tries to find the access point through probe request using a unique
name that is the Service Set Identifier (SSID) of the network to make automatic authentication. The
users are usually unaware of which basic service set (BSS) they belong to. When the user physically
moves the laptop from one room to another, the BSS used could change because of moving from the
area covered by one access point to the area covered by another access point, but this does not affect
the connectivity of the laptop. In this paper we are going to study how a mobility device

Pros And Cons Of Repealing Obamacare
A somewhat impertinent question to the GOP: Were you lying the whole time about repealing
Obamacare? History has taught us that sometimes it s inflection points are difficult to discern in the
moment. Often it takes events around these points to provide context. Examining the past is through
the objective lens of hindsight makes it easy to determine these points, but not so for those in the
midst of them. However, one can use past events and the immutable laws of human nature to look
ahead and see if present events meet the standard of an historic turning point. In the case of present
events one can make an educated guess as to the consequences of the two choices before you. At
present the GOP has a choice to make with regard to the fiscal abomination of Obamacare. It can
either chose the path laid out for it by the Socialists on the nation s Left and set a course towards
historic oblivion. Or it can return to it s principled roots of preserving liberty. ... Show more content on

The Rhetor Of St. Augustine Of Hippo
This project is predicated on the biblical rationale based on the passage which moves the church to go
and make disciples found in Matthew 28:18 20. This evangelism motif is found throughout the New
Testament: And he said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation
(Mark 16:15), But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be
my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth (Acts 1:8), And he
gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers (Ephesians 4:11); in fact
one could argue it is the thesis of the New Testament. The invention of Social Media provides
churches with a methodology to do evangelism differently and perhaps more effectively. Furthermore,
the internet provides the church access to a new mission ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Richard Enos and Roger Thompson posits in the book The Rhetoric of St. Augustine of Hippo,
The basic issue was whether the Church should adopt in toto the contemporary culture which Rome
had taken over from Greece. The fate of rhetoric, as a part of the Greco Roman culture, was involved
not only in the debate over the larger issue, but in more limited controversies about its own merits.
Indeed, the contrast between Verbum (Word of God) and verbum (word of man) was stressed from the
very beginnings of the Church, long before the broader cultural issue was joined.
Augustine is warning churches today that use social media to make sure the rhetoric is consistent with
scripture and there is no compromise. While there are certain words that are germane to social media,
the rhetoric must remain couched in scripture and not just modern day cyber language. Social media is
an innovative tool which can be used to share the gospel.

Summary Of Women In Shakespeare s Titus Andronicus
Titus Andronicus is renowned for its bloodshed, the references to dead time and the night, foreshadow
the great loss which saturates this play (2.3. 99). Shakespeare s use of diction, alliteration, and rhyme
expose Tamora s tragic flaw which is venegeance, a catalyst that threatens her morality. Shakespeare
examines the complexity of gender roles that obstruct female liberty. The endurance of a patriarchal
society that promotes prudence over sexual expression. Thus, the metaphor of the wild woman
demonstrates how this society can oppress one s sexuality and how human nature breaks down when
vengeance is rampant.
The construct of the wild woman develops through the symbolic connotations of nature and the forest.
This imagery reflects how revenge perpetuates disorder within a society. For example, the line, A
barren detested vale conveys a sense of emptiness (2.3. 93). Also, the contradicting snake imagery
demonstrates Tamora s decent into evil. For example, The birds chant melody on every bush, the
snake lies rolled in the cheerful sun in contrast to, A thousand fiends, a thousand hissing snakes (2.3
12,13 100). Earlier, the singing birds and sunbathing snakes illustrate the natural order within this
environment. However, the hissing snakes disrupt any positive associations with nature, and her
description of her surroundings exemplifies her changes in consciousness. Therefore, the tone of this
text shifts when evil, i.e. vengeance invades society.

Medieval Oppression Of Women
Over the medieval period oppression of women has been a problem and has not been solved up to
now. Various movements have taken place against these dilemmas but they still exist in our nation and
while they prevail they ve given an upswing to problems and instances of obnoxious behavior.
Women have been unjustly held back from achieving full equality for much of human history. In the
novel The Palace of Illusions , Princess Panchali said He was always trying to discourage me from
attending Dhri s lessons and he wasn t the only one. At first, no matter how much I begged, King
Drupad had balked at the thought of me studying with my brother. A girl being taught what a boy was
supposed to learn? Such a thing had never been heard of in the royal family of Panchal! Dhai Ma
denied Panchali of accessing the lessons that Dhri was learning as she believed that they were making
her argumentative and too manlike in her speech.
Practices followed during the medieval period showed us the predominant injustice of our times is the
widespread, tyrannical oppression of women. The feudal society of the time encouraged Sati which
meant self immolation of the widow. By burning herself on the pyre of her husband, she proves her
loyalty. Even the child widows were not spared from this gruesome ... Show more content on

Many women face discrimination throughout all stages of their life, beginning at (or even before) birth
continuing as an infant, child, adolescent, and adult. While in the educated, urban middle class women
s rights continue to improve, there remains a strong bias against gender equality in those societal parts
of India, where patriarchal traditions prevail; her self image was torn into shreds by the patriarchal
family which denied her basic freedom. Indian womanhood was mercilessly locked in the echo

Opression In The Giver
The Giver, is a science fiction novel by lois lowry. A young boy, jonas, realizes how little freedom he
and everyone else has, after he is assigned to be the new receiver of memory during the ceremony of
12. Jonas and the giver come up with a plan to give the citizens of their community freedom. Freedom
of opression leads to freedom, Lois Lowry demonstrates that the knowledge of opression leads to
freedom through Characterization, flashback, and setting. First, the authour s use of characterization
exemplifies knowledge of opression leads to freedom. This is clear whem the giver states how litlle
knowledge jonas has of the real world. Characterization is important in the story because it shows how
litlle freedom the citizens have. He has shown all the qualities that a receiver must
have...Intelligence...Integrity...Courage. This show characters because it shows jonas personality.
Jonas personality is just like everyone else except he has the ability to see beyond meaning he can is

memory being in the commutaty all the citizens would be set free and would be able to see the real

birds..They saw a deer. Setting is a great way to support the theme because it shows the difference
between the wether, animals, and plant, in the communaty and out of the communaty. Without setting
the reader wouldnt be able to tell how restricted the communaty really is. Setting clearly shows that
knowledge of oppression leads to freedom becauase it shows how restricted the communaty is, not

Swac Research Paper
The Southwestern Athletic Conference has given the NFL, the SWAC has given the league nothing.
Have the SWAC and HBCUs lost their swagger? To get a handle on this, consider that Alabama had
four players drafted in the first round this year, a number equal to players from Historically Black
Colleges and Universities taken in the last two years all four coming from the Mideastern Athletic
Conference. The only player taken this year was Christian Thompson, a safety from South Carolina
State selected in the fourth round by the Baltimore Ravens. Since 2005, only five SWAC players have
been drafted.
The landscape of college football has changed so dramatically, it would appear to be unfair to today s
SWAC athletes to compare their situation to those of players three decades ago. Hampering
contemporary players is too many options to play. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Strahan always sought out HBCU players when he played for the Giants. He d look for a Donald

rosters and see where they went to school, Strahan said. Unfortunately, for HBCU players, Doug

about the commitment of the player. I don t know. Maybe the scouts are lazy now.

Further as the KAM paradigm predicts, the subprime mortgage meltdown and its aftermath have brought numerous civil and criminal actions. For example, mortgage fraud in the US, including Federal and state prosecution, is growing dramatically. Suspicious activity reports related to mortgage fraud increased over 1000% between 1997 and 2005 and pending FBI mortgage fraud investigations rose from 436 in fiscal 2002 to 1210 in fiscal 2007 (Grant, 2008). The huge increases in the US mortgage market and its increasing complexity have opened many attractive opportunities for fraudsters across a range of financial activities and institutions. The most common frauds involve property flipping or other schemes to get proceeds from mortgages or property sales via misleading appraisals or false documentation. The SEC is also looking at insider trading related to unexpected write downs by publicly traded companies with assets tied to mortgage backed securities. Further plaintiffs lawyers and their clients have been active in making other claims such as misrepresentation or failure to disclose materials information, trying to recover some of the billions of dollars in losses. However, to grasp the subprime bubble and meltdown in its development, subsequent crash and current aftershocks, one must first understand the key changes that occurred in the financial markets for ... • 3. Death And The Maiden Rationality Rationality vs. Will Power: A Fight for Closure Psychological damage strikes the core of an individual and can lead to irrational actions and poor judgement. Through an examination of Paulina Salas actions throughout Death and the Maiden, Ariel Dorfman successfully characterizes her as a survivor through her fight for closure. Although her ways may not seem rational, her fight symbolizes the desperation felt by victims of the torture in Chile. This demonstrates that strength cannot always be measured in rationality, but more so in the will power of an individual. This is seen in the way Paulina acts towards Dr. Roberto Miranda, her reaction to Gerardo joining the Rettig Commission, and her search for personal justice for the duration of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Paulina believes there will be no justice for her, and when she finds out about Gerardo s new task, her pursuit for what is right begins to develop, and Dorfman is able to characterize her as damaged and wanting justice prior to the introduction of Dr. Miranda. Gerardo was appointed as the lawyer to the Rettig Report created by the first democratic president Patricio Aylwin to investigate humans rights violations following Augusto Pinochet s communist rule of Chile. The commission only pursued violations ending in death or presumption of death and the idea is that if [the commission] throw light on the worst crimes, other abuses will also come to light (9). Paulina starts to get edgy and starts getting defensive towards Gerardo after she discovers the commission only investigates cases of death, and this means Paulina would not receive a trial. This makes Paulina furious, as she was under the impression that her and Gerardo would be able to put Paulina s torturer and the others all on trial. Another key phrase that demonstrates Paulina s continuous fight for the justice she deserves is when Gerardo refers to the cases he will investigate as the ones that are beyond let s say, repair. and Paulina responds with Beyond repair. Irreparable, huh? (9) To Paulina, her case is beyond repair too, and to a high degree. She is haunted to listen to Schubert, just because of her torture. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The End Of World War II And Creation Of The United Nations The end of World War II and creation of the United Nations (UN) in 1945, set the world on a new evolutionary path. This unique evolution commenced with the United States (US) and the Union of Soviet Socialists Republics (USSR) as world powers as a result of their distinctive roles in ending World War II. Their contradicting ideologies as to the basis of this new evolution sparked a cold war bringing fear and great concerns to the masses. Inspite of the intensity of this war, the UN assumed its responsibilities in ensuring peace and encouraging both nations to peacefully sort out their differences. This consequently recorded the first involvement of the UN in the world superpowers affairs. Currently, the evolution transits into new superpowers; the United States an established power and China a rising power. In contrast to the US USSR relations, the new superpowers emphasize on constructive bilateral relations that propose to foster cooperation, mutual respect and promote global development. This essay, indicates the importance of unified trilateral efforts and collaborative multilateral cooperation between the US, China and the UN. These world powers have thriven through socio economic decline to expand their economy, joined forces to propagate the global economic growth and strength. It further describes the beneficial relationship of the US and China to international society by their constructive roles and responsibilities. The essay also highlights the different ... The band achieved international success in their use of philosophical lyrics, sonic experimentation, extended compositions and elaborate live shows. They have been considered one of the most commercially successful and influential groups in the history of popular music. The song Money written for their 1973 album Dark Side of the Moon, quickly became the band s first hit in the United States when released as a single, reaching #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. • 7. Literary Analysis Of The Cask Of Amontillado The story, The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allen Poe, is a narration of revenge and murder crafted and committed in the most of secretive ways, that the victim, Fortunato, did not recognize the murder plan until at the very last point of last breath. The story, narrated by Montresor, gives an account of an oppressed individual, who had patiently and submissively subjected to oppression, until insults began, and he could no longer take any more. The narrator had been oppressed many times by the victim against whom he seeks revenge. In the very opening of the narration, the narrator claims to have been hurt by the victim numerous times when stating THE thousand injuries of Fortunato I had borne as I best could (Poe, n.p.). However, while suffering quietly from all the injuries he had received from Fortunato, Montresor had crafted a plan for revenge, which he ensured the target victim would not detect. Indeed, Montresor continued to mask his evil plans against the victim through acting nicely towards him and also maintaining a smile that only him knew was informed by the thought of revenge (Poe, n.p.). Indeed, Montresor no doubt comes out as very crafty, and the secretively crafted plan of revenge against Fortunato he made can be lauded as being genius. Nevertheless, this discussion holds the argument that it is Fortunato s skepticism, as opposed to Montresor s definitive and genius plan, that materializes the revenge. The Rafay Burns Appeal team has pointed out the following observations to me about the crime scene that point towards another perpetrator: 1) A fingerprint was found on the shower that does not belong to anyone who lived in the household. Users trust that the domain name that is easily understood has a better chance of taking them to the webpage they have in mind. Short domain names are more adaptable for branding. With longer names, the meaning or identity of the site can become lost among all the words. A short name will boost your SEO. According to Kelley (1996) this process is recommended by narrative therapists because it allows the client to begin to see where the discourse emerged from. The therapist must first just listen to the story and determine what the client sees as the existing problem (Kelley, 1996). Then the therapist begins to ask questions with the intention of bringing forth the full meaning of the problem (Kelley, 1996). In deconstruction the therapist searches for answers as to who all is involved with the problem, what past events lead up to the problem development, how the problem changed over time, how the client has been fighting the problem thus far and how the problem is affecting the client s life (Kelley, 1996). Kelley (1996) reported that after the therapist has a full understanding of the problem the deconstruction phase moves on to its second stage. The therapist and the client begin working together to break down the prevailing story in order to map the influence the problem is having on the client s life (Kelley, 1996). Mapping the effect of the problem is particularly important because it lays the foundation of the new story line (Monk, Winslade, Crocket Epston, 1997). Numerous studies have assessed the feasibility and effectiveness of supplementing aquafeeds with a variety of potentially probiotic bacteria, but probably the most well documented are LAB [41]. Among LAB, lactobacilli strains have been the focus of much interest. Since, the immune system modulation strongly dependent on the metabolites they produce, such as proteolysis, could release peptides that may (or may not) interact with immune cells to induce distinct immunomodulatory response [42]. Though only few strains of lactic acid bacteria (LAB), especially Lactobacillus, have been isolated from marine environments, their unique characteristics have proved that there is clear potential to use them as probiotics with advanced health benefits [43]. To the best of our knowledge, the present investigation was the first report on disease resistance and the immune modulatory effects on Nile Tilapia using dietary supplemented with marine LAB. Therefore, the present work selected the most promising marine LAB isolated from Egyptian marine samples and evaluated its effect(s) on innate immunity and disease resistance of Nile Tilapia fish during 50 days feeding trial. Based on the physiological characteristics, using API 50 CHL, it is pointed out that the selected isolate R1 is Lactobacillus plantarum. This phrase makes me think of vultures (garbage men) (types of bird that eat dead meat) gazing upon their pray (couple in the Mercedes.) The language in the poem is very descriptive and vivid. The poet introduces color to the poem too, to show more vivid images. He did that to attract more of the reader s attention. E.g. He used color to describe the yellow garbage truck and the traffic light. From this we can see that the poet uses color effectively. The poem Island Man was written by Grace Nichols. Indeed, the contrast between Verbum (Word of God) and verbum (word of man) was stressed from the very beginnings of the Church, long before the broader cultural issue was joined. • 29. Summary Of Women In Shakespeare s Titus Andronicus Titus Andronicus is renowned for its bloodshed, the references to dead time and the night, foreshadow the great loss which saturates this play (2.3. 99). Shakespeare s use of diction, alliteration, and rhyme expose Tamora s tragic flaw which is venegeance, a catalyst that threatens her morality. Shakespeare examines the complexity of gender roles that obstruct female liberty. The endurance of a patriarchal society that promotes prudence over sexual expression. Thus, the metaphor of the wild woman demonstrates how this society can oppress one s sexuality and how human nature breaks down when vengeance is rampant. The construct of the wild woman develops through the symbolic connotations of nature and the forest. This imagery reflects how revenge perpetuates disorder within a society. For example, the line, A barren detested vale conveys a sense of emptiness (2.3. 93). Also, the contradicting snake imagery demonstrates Tamora s decent into evil. For example, The birds chant melody on every bush, the snake lies rolled in the cheerful sun in contrast to, A thousand fiends, a thousand hissing snakes (2.3 12,13 100). Earlier, the singing birds and sunbathing snakes illustrate the natural order within this environment. However, the hissing snakes disrupt any positive associations with nature, and her description of her surroundings exemplifies her changes in consciousness. Therefore, the tone of this text shifts when evil, i.e. vengeance invades society. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Various movements have taken place against these dilemmas but they still exist in our nation and while they prevail they ve given an upswing to problems and instances of obnoxious behavior. Women have been unjustly held back from achieving full equality for much of human history. In the novel The Palace of Illusions , Princess Panchali said He was always trying to discourage me from attending Dhri s lessons and he wasn t the only one. At first, no matter how much I begged, King Drupad had balked at the thought of me studying with my brother. A girl being taught what a boy was supposed to learn? Such a thing had never been heard of in the royal family of Panchal! Dhai Ma denied Panchali of accessing the lessons that Dhri was learning as she believed that they were making her argumentative and too manlike in her speech. Practices followed during the medieval period showed us the predominant injustice of our times is the widespread, tyrannical oppression of women. The feudal society of the time encouraged Sati which meant self immolation of the widow. By burning herself on the pyre of her husband, she proves her loyalty. Even the child widows were not spared from this gruesome ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many women face discrimination throughout all stages of their life, beginning at (or even before) birth continuing as an infant, child, adolescent, and adult. While in the educated, urban middle class women s rights continue to improve, there remains a strong bias against gender equality in those societal parts of India, where patriarchal traditions prevail; her self image was torn into shreds by the patriarchal family which denied her basic freedom. Setting is a great way to support the theme because it shows the difference between the wether, animals, and plant, in the communaty and out of the communaty. • 33. Swac Research Paper The Southwestern Athletic Conference has given the NFL, the SWAC has given the league nothing. Have the SWAC and HBCUs lost their swagger? To get a handle on this, consider that Alabama had four players drafted in the first round this year, a number equal to players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities taken in the last two years all four coming from the Mideastern Athletic Conference. The only player taken this year was Christian Thompson, a safety from South Carolina State selected in the fourth round by the Baltimore Ravens. Since 2005, only five SWAC players have been drafted. The landscape of college football has changed so dramatically, it would appear to be unfair to today s SWAC athletes to compare their situation to those of players three decades ago. Hampering contemporary players is too many options to play. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Strahan always sought out HBCU players when he played for the Giants. He d look for a Donald Driver and Lewis Tillman was already in New York when he got there. And then there was the pregame ritual that kept him grounded. I would pick up the Game Day magazine and look down the rosters and see where they went to school, Strahan said. Unfortunately, for HBCU players, Doug Williams begs to differ. Even in the heyday of the SWAC, when a kid was drafted he was considered a project. Their coaching and individual techniques dismissed as they more times than not were drafted on pure physical attributes. The most common term used in evaluations.Strahan said. But how many of those so called polished players turned out to be horrible football players? I think it s about the heart of the guy and about the commitment of the player. I don t know. Maybe the scouts are lazy now. Aeneas Williams played collegiately at Southern and was on the ballot last year for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. We all were raw.
