In his class he made the essays seem easier than I remember and now I understand each person part.
The reading objective helped me with my comprehension skills. In other words, I have developed the
skills to read a text and infer what the author s purpose and meaning of the text. In class, we did
various exercises as a class to help to try to find the main ideas of an article. We would pair off into
groups and annotate an article that Professor Pruchnic assigns to guidelines.
For example, Professor Pruchnic asked the class to annotate the article Trump Tells Pence to Leave
NFL and make our annotations with the understanding that we are going to generate a response to the
piece under review. After we complete our annotations, use the response templates in The Warrior
Writer to create an agree disagree and agree and disagree statement about arguments or sides
addressed in the article. Overall, all this practice helped me in the long run.
Writing helped me get all of my thoughts down before constructing my essays. In my years at high
school, I ve always needed to write my rough draft before typing it because I felted that this was a
better way for me to get all the details down before I lose my train of thought. But, now there are other

One physiological method of treatment is Biofeedback. Physiological methods help people cope with
the effects of stress by changing the way the body responds to it. With biofeedback the aim is to teach
the client how to relax. The person learns how to regulate the symptoms of stress in real life stressful
situations.
There are 4 steps involved. Firstly, the person is attached to a machine that monitors the body s
response to stressors and then gives feed back on heart rate and blood pressure etc. The person then

It is also an effective treatment as it aims to treat the cause of the problem as well as the symptoms. It
can give clients a greater sense of control over themselves as well which can have much longer lasting
benefits. Another advantage would be that it has no side effects or harmful addictions attached etc. It
is also voluntary and not invasive for example in drug treatment withdrawal symptoms may be
distressing. Biofeedback can be used for an unlimited time, as it is not addictive in the way that BZ s
(for example) can be (as they are only used for a maximum of four weeks to prevent this) so
biofeedback is seen as more of a long term cure of stress.
However, biofeedback has the drawback of being extremely costly and time consuming. It needs
specialist equipment and expert supervision, although attempts have been made to produce a more
accessible therapy by using cards the client would put their thumb on a card and it would measure the
stress levels (stressed, tense, normal, calm) etc. Some also argue that the benefits of biofeedback can
be achieved from other relaxation techniques and so it is an unnecessary expense.

because we are all born equal. That being said, everyone owns only their own person, and we are to be

also would own our own labor and work of our hands. What makes property our own is when we
work with the state of nature and everything that has been provided from God through the state of
nature. We do not earn the right to ownership simply because we do more work than someone else, but

property. However as there are rights to the property, there are also limitations based on how much we
can use or own. As a community living together in the state of nature we must leave a fair and equally
prosperous amount to our fellow people. If this limitation is not in place some people would not ever
have the opportunity to own property because the strongest and the smartest would be able to tend to

Imagine living in a world where everyone is happy. One is free to have sexual intercourse with a
partner of his or her choosing without any repercussion. However, there is a catch; one is required to
be happy all the time. In the novel Brave New World, their society is controlled and everyone is forced
to be happy. There are three characters that are not happy. Bernard who feels that he is an outsider and
miss treated, John who is also known as the savage and was hot raised in the world state society, and
Helmholtz who feels his work is meaningless and wants to be able to write meaningful things.
Humanity suffers in the world state society because the members of society are not making their own
decisions, which is the cause of the World State unhappiness.
The world state is not as truthful as it appears to be. The society is forced but the government makes

species crave interaction and have a longing for love. Love a person feels can be the driving force for

four different categories for love: Philia, Storge, Agape, and Eros. Philia is often translated to mean

Hyperbole is used when describing the life of the man in the story and the various actions and
behaviors of this man in general. These exaggerated physical descriptions and behaviors effectively
use the exaggerative qualities of hyperbole to evoke emotions of introspection and despair. I believe
that Shakespeare used hyperbole in this way to cause the reader to reflect on their own life and to be
more cognizant of their place in the grand scheme of things. This poetic device was likely used due to
the period that this poem was written in. During this time, most people were focused on surviving and
making sure they had enough to eat; rather than having the time to think about more existential and

students who have admitted that they do cheat. Academic cheating can be inform of copying from
different tests or other student work, getting or giving help during exams, use of crib notes or even
getting others to do the exams on your behalf. Initially, there were very few cases of academic
cheating because of the strict rules and disciplinary actions that were linked to such action. However, a
lot has changed, the advent of technology and other factors have led to increased cases of academic

Reflection Paper On Rock Of Ages
On 21 July 2017, I attended the Rock of Ages jukebox musical, which incorporated popular 1980 s
rock music with the love story of an upcoming rock star and a hopeful actress. Apart from the cast,
dancers and ensemble, there was Ben Walley on keyboard, Phil Simpson on electric guitar, Greg
Fryhling on bass guitar, and Ben Chambers on percussion. The performance took place at the CBC
outdoor Diane Hoch Amphitheatre, which was set up to look like the Bourbon Room in Las Angeles
in the 1980 s. The walls were made of brick, with signs saying, Hollywood BLVD and live nudes,
with a sign saying girls, with an arrow pointing to a door. The audience dressed casual, however, there
were some who dressed up like the 1980 s. The performers, however, were dressed like rock stars and
waitresses, acting out the 1980 s. The performance was laid back, the performers made jokes and the
audience would laugh, and at the end of a scene the audience would clap. The musical consisted of 2
acts, and in the following paragraphs I will explain how the music and the performance made me feel,
the good and the bad.

As high school students you write almost every day whether that is in the form of an essay, research
paper or a tweet on the Internet. What if I told you there was a simpler way to write that allows
information to be organized as well as presented better? The writing process consists of six main
steps. These six steps consist of pre writing, drafting, revising, editing, proofreading and publishing.
Some of these steps are more prominent in the process, but as a whole these steps assist in the creating
of a clear and well written paper. To help demonstrate the writing process in simpler way I will relate
it to something that is well known to most teenagers, that being food. Not just food but also the
process of preparing food in specific the process of creating a stir fry. In the writing process the first
step consists of a pre writing stage. Pre writing can be explained in the form of an outline or notes
about the writing assignment you will begin shortly. In congruence with the pre writing stage, creating
a stir fry uses similar procedures. So to start off the stir fry process you must first gather your
ingredients. These ingredients can consist of a variety of meats to provide protein including chicken,
shrimp and beef. This step is just like in a paper when you gather the info for the bulk of your paper,

When one thinks of the Bronx, we think Yankee Stadium, the Bronx Zoo, and the Botanical Gardens.
But ultimately, many neglect the Bronx as the poorest county, with the highest dropout rates, and

issues, working especially with children from the ages of nine to seventeen with a nonprofit

One Merrill Lynch analyst began to question the numbers and profits that were being produced by
Enron and eventually he was fired. Enron invested a lot of money with Merrill Lynch and they didn t
want Enron to stop investing so Merrill Lynch got rid of the employee who question Enron, when in

information, their stock plummeted from $90 to $0.26 causing the corporation to file for bankruptcy.
This deception on behalf of the executives and others in the organization who hid this vastly affected

This paper explores three main facets of carbon dioxide: carbon dioxide as an atmospheric threat, the

Thus, the study explores scientific insight into the aspects of carbon dioxide and reflects its spiritual
significance for responsible Christian action.
This examines the hazards, the production, and a potential solution to the looming problem of carbon
dioxide in the atmosphere. CO₂, or carbon dioxide, is a greenhouse gas that plays a significant role in
global warming. Power generation (see Figures 1 and 2) and manufacturing industries contribute to
the production of carbon dioxide. Finally an effective climate change plan should integrate emission
cuts and CCS. Releasing CO2 in the atmosphere is harmful to the environment in several ways. The
combustion of fossil fuels releases new CO₂ in the atmosphere. Fossil fuels are made of hydrocarbons.
When burned, these substances change form and enter the atmosphere as carbon based gases . The
EPA concludes that 90% of carbon gases released into the atmosphere are from the combustion of
fossil fuels. So, industrial combustion is the primary culprit of such CO₂ production (West, 2009).
Consequentially, such carbon based gases pollute the air near the earth s surface , create smog, and
increase the amounts of atmospheric greenhouse gases which contribute to global warming as
diagrammed in Figure 1 (West, 2009). Coal, for instance, does not always burn cleanly as it often
includes toxic elements (West, 2009). Thus the use of coal is hazardous for

I currently live in a city with a large and very diverse population. At one end of the city, you will see
large expensive homes with little to no violence, but on the other end, you see homes that are
deteriorating as time passes by along with gun violence almost every night. These are the places where
you see more homeless shelters and others begging for food and money. These are the people that
suffer on the streets in the cold every night while we scroll through Facebook on our comfy couch.
According to NJ.com, Hudson County was the home of 829 homeless persons in 2016, the third

Jury Themes
I particularly enjoyed this movie due to the several themes presented in it such as justice, class,
prejudice, and doubt. From the beginning, I thought that the accused would get the death penalty
because most of the jurors had inflicted prejudices which demonstrates how the jury system could be
in some ways corrupt.. However, at the end the accused was acquitted. I also liked the cast because
each of those twelve men had a different character and different perceptions. Even if the entire movie
takes place on the jury room, it was still a perfect movie due to the story and the acting of all the
actors. In addition, some funny scenes made the movie even more enjoyable and not boring. In brief, I
