  • 2. Aims • To explore the meaning of quality assurance and quality control and acknowledge the difference between them • To explore how the quality message is shared with all concerned • How can this be achieved in such diverse organisations
  • 3. Aim of….. Quality assurance QA aims to prevent defects (areas for improvement) occurring, with the focus on the processes. It is, therefore, a proactive quality process Quality control QC aims to identify and correct (improve) defects in the end product (service). QC is, therefore , a reactive quality process

Quality Assurance Quality assurance is a set of activities for ensuring quality in the processes by which products/services are developed Control Quality control is a set of activities for ensuring quality in products. The activities focus on identifying defects (areas for improvement) in the actual products (services) produced
