Isis Nursing Horus After learning so much about ancient Greece and many other ancient cultures from
different parts of the world in class. In this essay I will analyze the artwork by giving a full 360 degree
description of the work and every detail. I will also relate it to work we have studied in class. The
work I will analyze is found at the Walters Art Museum, in Baltimore, Maryland. The title of the work
is Isis Nursing Horus, an Egyptian artwork dated between 680 640 BCE. This is a three dimensional
volume statuette bronze seated statue of Isis nursing Horus. The statuette currently sits at Walters
Museum, Baltimore, Maryland. The measurement of this artwork is 215/8x 57/8x 91/4. The ... Show
The artwork is simplified, not too many extreme details included compared to some of the work with
complex details of the Vikings in early medieval times. The artist makes the sculpture simple. The
artwork is very rounded, no jagged or edgy parts of the sculpture, almost a smooth transition all
around and smooth. Proportions of the sculpture seems about right, with regard to length of Isis and
Horus. The sculptor gives Isis full feminine shapes, giving her curves at the right place and proper

Pastor Renfro, as he is known by those who have had the pleasure to meet him, defines servant
leadership as one of the many models of ministry, each of which describes how a particular minister
understands his/her role and approach to ministry as a vocation, and a way of life. Dr. John Renfro is

We need to be with people where they are without the need to fix them, rather, trusting God to do what
He is doing in their lives, hoping that He uses me as part of the process. I know that I will be learning
and growing with those whom God sends me. Pastor Renfro was then asked how has he evolved or

would be to possess a non judgmental presence, to allow people to be the who, what, and where they
need to be in our encounters; the disadvantage in that is some people might consider this position as

life of servant leadership, starting with being a Clinical Pastor Supervisor (certified to teach at the
graduate level), a Diplomate of the College of Pastoral Supervision, a nationally certified Professional

The challenge this researcher faces lies in the structure of a particular Accelerated Math II (10th
Grade) curriculum at Lucy C. Laney High School in Augusta, Georgia, in which all students enrolled
in the course have to be proficient in all areas of the curriculum. The researcher has observed very
little higher order/critical thinking and problem solving and low motivation/morale which may impact
student performance in the math course. After a year of intense coursework, including real world
application practice, and many short answer and multiple choice assessments, students show minimum
performance on an accelerated curriculum provided to them. This challenges the instructional efforts
of the teacher to increase the performance and promote higher order thinking in the math class.
Therefore the purpose for this study is to determine if cooperative learning impacts higher
order/critical thinking skills and student achievement. Review of the Literature Cooperative learning is
one of the best studied academic strategies in the history of educational research, with over 1,000
research studies on the subject dating as far back as 1898 (Stanne, Johnson Johnson, 1999). There are

School Day In High School
The school bell rings at 2:50 indicating the end of the school day. I race out of my AP Chemistry class
and head straight for my car parked across the street from the high school. Within four minutes, I m
pulling out of the parking lot and heading north on McHenry Avenue. As I drive as efficiently as
possible, I scan the street for any dangers. I approach the only stoplight on this relatively short journey
and I pray that it s green. Luckily, it almost always is. I continue up the street for a few more blocks
and pull into the parking lot of the public library at 2:58. I put the car in park, turn it off, open the
glove department and grab my earbuds, and take the water bottle from my backpack. I sprint up the

Simon Stephens modern adaption of the 1879 play by Henrik Ibsin, A Doll s House, has allowed for
audiences to experience the intense play in modern times. With Carrie Cracknell s effective use of
realism conventions and elements of drama, she has successfully displayed themes of deception to the
audience. The play follows the story of Nora Helmer, and all the interactions between 6 other
characters that follow while she maintains a major secret from her husband Torvald. The director
demonstrates combined use of elements of drama along with realism conventions to effectively
portray the themes of betrayal such as roles and relationships, use of the fourth wall, and personal
objects. Her effective use of these conventions has led to a brilliant adaption of the classic play A Doll
s House.
Cracknell s portrayal of Nora in the play is one of the clearest portrayals of betrayal. The role of her
character and her interactions with other characters gives the audience an insight to what her character
is like. Nora s close relationship with Doctor Rank is shown multiple times through the show, such as
this scene in act 2. Nora and Doctor Rank are left alone in the loungeroom, initially they speak about
his declining health and then progress to flirting with each other. Nora passes him her new stockings,

sacrifices themselves, usually with fire, has returned, and has brought with it a multitude of issues.
First, a bit of history, although the death of Thích Quảng Đức was the first documented case of self
immolation as a form of protest, the concept of burning oneself alive has existed for much longer. The
Ritual of Sati refers to an old and now illegal practice in which a widowed Hindu woman would throw
herself upon the funeral pyre of her husband. The grotesque tradition originated from the myth of Sati,

In 66 years, you can t imagine how much has changed in the world. When I was talking to my
grandmother, I was surprised at how many similarities and differences I heard. Some of the things I
learned about was their transportation, school, and what she did for entertainment. I realized that this
