Reflection Of Art
Art is all around the world and everywhere we go and has been since the beginning of time. Most of
the early artworks was visual arts, such as paintings, sculptures, printmaking and many other things.
The purpose of art is the creative way to express our emotions to empower or inspire people, or it
could bring out different emotions within ourselves, depending on how you look at it. Many of the art
pieces have a story to tell or it can express the state of mind and feeling of the artist when the art was

my three pieces of artworks to write about, I chose an artist that has many art pieces in many galleries.
His style is absolutely creative and different. Nothing like I ve ever since before. The first painting I
observed is by an artist who has been a street artist since 1985, Gary John. He grew up in Seattle but
moved to Venice, California in 2003 and began selling his art pieces on the boardwalk. One art piece
of his that I found interesting is 31st street in 3 D , 2015. The 41 x 29 inch art is drawn on a paper of
what looks like an architectural plan. John drew a big 3 D, old school television with an antenna right

SPLASH! and GOOOO! Seemed to be the only noise I could hear, but I wasn t the one swimming.
Why was I there? It seemed like everyone I knew was swimming but I was here with a broken nose.

Café D Pownd is a campus cafeteria, which serves 450 students and faculty, on the campus at the
National Academy of Liberal Arts. The Café s busiest time is at dinner time, where two thirds of the
residents are expected to be served between 5:00 and 6:30 pm. The café serves meals, beverages,
salads, desserts sandwiches and other snacks. Most students pay with their student meal cards. The
Café is designed with three waiting lines, L1, L2 and L3. Line one is for the pre cooked meals, and it
provides a menu of its items. L2 is for the interactive cooking station and the students get to pick what

Another observation, is the flow of the cafeteria, it seems that most of the lines flow in different
directions causing chaos, people running in to each other, and standing in lines that are not necessarily
the right line they want to be in. The cashier flows in a different direction than the pre cooked and the
interactive cook lines. It looks like residents have to circle back to pay for their food. Also, the
entrance is located in the direction that bumps into the people in the lines. If the direction flow
developed better this could help the wait time and can help residents quickly exit the cafeteria.
RECOMMENDATIONS
The first recommendation, is that they need to change the direction flow of the café. They should
switch the exit to the entrance, moving the cashier s stations by the exit. There should be one express
cashier only expecting cash and a regular cashier taking cards. The flow of the lines can be corrected
by partitions, so this isn t crowding at the stations, creating a consistency in wait time. Please see
exhibit A for the updated café layout. The second recommendation, is that there is needs to be detail
menu choices for the stations. They can order large boards and hang the above the stations describing
the menu options, reducing the questions being asked about the food. The third recommendation

What drives Peter s obsession with gardens? During his narrative, Peter interlaces an approximately
present day account of his experience in an elderly home attempting to construct a garden with an
explanation of his fateful trip to the Seven Maidens. On the surface, I find his story of the elderly
home to be inconsequential ostensibly only his gift to Jasper at the end advances the novel s storyline.
As a result, I originally passed off old Peter s reflections on constructing a garden as merely the

During Peter s childhood, his teachers subject him to intense beatings while forcing him to quote a
