Mere Christianity Of God Analysis
We live in a world marked by a culture of death. the constant manifetations of ruptures with one itself

Queen Anne s Revenge Essay
Swoosh! Splash! Swish! A pirate ship sails through the salty ocean. Three pirate ships sail across the
same deep glimmering marine. They all meet around the cove, but they all get ready for rivalry. One
ship starts dismissing their cannons at their enemies. Just then, the other two ships began to sail away,
but one cannonball proceeded towards one ship, and struck the ship leaving it to sink. Pirates used
ships to get to their destination, and to be ready for their enemies. First of all, the Queen Anne s
Revenge was one of the most famous pirate ship. The Queen Anne s Revenge was originally a French
owned slave ship. The ship first name was La Concorde De Nantes. It was found in 1996.
Furthermore, the ship had 26 guns, and was captured from the French merchants. Queen Anne s
Revenge was one of the most powerful ships in American waters. The name Queen Anne s Revenge
comes from Queen Anne, who was one of the principal actors in the War of the Spanish Succession in
which Blackbeard was likely a privateer. On the other hand, the ship can store more than 300 tons
(272 t) of treasure, and can hold up to 250 pirates. To sum up, the Queen Anne s Revenge was used to

This project performs sentiment analysis in various different phases. Initially the source of input for
the application is Twitter tweets which are collected using Twitter API. The Twitter API is designed by
Twitter which is made available to all registered Twitter Developers which runs on the Twitter Server.
Input for the search term is provided by a Web Application User Interface designed for the user to
input a product name on which the sentiment analysis is to be performed. This search term then acts as
an input query for collecting tweets related to the product. Once when the user inputs the search term

Arctic Ocean Exchange
Ecosystems in the approximate northern part of our planet are subject to profound changes, such as
amplified rise in air temperature following the rapid loss of millions of square kilometers in the Arctic
sea ice (Lawrence et al., 2008; Serreze and Barry, 2011; Screen et al., 2012; Bhatt et al., 2014). This
sea ice induced warming feedback extends from the marine to the terrestrial domain and may
consequently increase the emission of strenuous greenhouse gas methane from high latitude wetland
soils (Parmentier, 2013). An increase in terrestrial methane emissions possible therefore can be
accessible to the sea ice changes occurring easily off within the Arctic Ocean, when sea ice melts and
gives way to an unblocked ocean, an immense lowering ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the study there was a distinct negative correlation between the months of methane fluxes and
sea ice extent throughout the Arctic, indicating elevated methane emissions (Parmentier et al., 2013).
However there was a positive correlation that appeared in the Canadian Archipelago, which indicated
a decrease in methane emissions concurrent with sea ice regression. The difference between regions is
most recognizable from August to October, when it is seen there is an increase in methane emissions.
In absolute terms, emissions are the most elevated in midsummer and much lower start of autumn,
which may restrict the effect of sea ice induced warming (Parmentier et al., 2013). The absolute rise in
emissions was governed by extrapolating the difference in emission trends, the team estimated that
emissions were on average 1.7 Tg CH4 yr 1higher in sea ice affected areas (Parmentier et al., 2013).
This synergy complicates the explanation of a correlation with sea ice during springtime when both
sea ice regress and previous snowmelt could cause a temperature related rise

Arthur Miller s The Crucible Essay
In Arthur Miller s The Crucible, the normal criteria that a central character fits, is not met by the
apparent protagonist, John Proctor. Common traits one might expect to find in a traditional hero are
humility, patience and caring. John Proctor, while he is the principal, has many qualities that could
instead assume him the role of the antagonist and land him in the adversary box. His background and
slight character flaws cause him to take on the personalities of both a protagonist and antagonist.
Proctor, because he exhibits qualities of both types of characters, is what is known as a tragic hero.
Tragic heroes are characters within stories that due to a judgment error, is the cause of his/her own
demise. In Proctor s case, his error was made when he refuses to give up the names of other alleged
witches, and refuses to allow the court to hang his confession in the center of town. John Proctor
embodies three major signs of tragic heroism. Proctor, even through the rest of the village perceives
him as great, knows deep down inside that because of past sins, he will never be able to live up to his
reputation. As well, John Proctor is a tragic hero because he had the power to stop his own execution,
therefore his downfall was no one s fault but his own. This reluctance to forfeit the names of other
witches could be seen as a character flaw. The final criteria that Proctor meets for a tragic hero is that
the punishment received is way too severe for the crime committed.

Medicine and Doctors in Final Cut by Atul Gawande
The main theme of Final Cut by Atul Gawande is that medicine is an inexact science and doctors are
not always sure of themselves, even if they appear confident. Gawande s main argument is simply
stated: there has been a decline in the amount of autopsies performed in the medical field as a result of
medical arrogance; over confident doctors believe they know the cause of death and do not want to
perform autopsies. Gawande illustrates his argument by outlining the history of autopsy use in
medicine, incorporating medical cases that he has experienced as a surgeon, and including statistics on
autopsy usage. Final Cut is an outstanding profile on the decline of autopsy use in medicine. What
makes Final Cut an enjoyable and informative article for all readers is its use of strategies associated
with fiction such as the establishment of characters, balance between medical information and
personal experience, and its use of active voice. It is evident throughout Final Cut that Gawande is an
author who draws on and adapts elements of fiction such as the establishment of characters and the
creation of tension and suspense within his journalism. By incorporating medical cases he has
experienced as a surgeon, Gawande is able to establish many characters that the reader develops an
emotional connection with. This emotional connection develops because readers are provided with
just enough information about the characters to individualize them, allowing readers to care about

Dead Heads Deviance Analysis
Deviance is an aspect of everyday life that helps reaffirm social norms. This idea of deviancy can be
witnessed in the Dead Head subculture. The most appropriate way to analyze the Dead Heads would
be to look at their behavior from the Symbolic Interaction approach. This view focuses on society as
being the product of everyday interactions between individuals. In understanding the Dead Heads, a
participant observation research method would be most fitting. The participant observation approach
gives the researcher a first hand account of how the Dead Heads behave and interact with each other
and the outside world. The personal encounters of the researcher with the Deadheads could, however,
create issues in remaining objective in their observations

Whiplash, A 2014 American Drama Film
Whiplash, a 2014 American drama film, captures the excellent performance of the characters as they
depict the ferocious student teacher relationship in the quest better their craft. Directed by Damien
Chazelle and starring Miles Teller (Andrew) and J.K. Simmons (Fletcher), the film portrays how far a
teacher would go to push his students to greatness. Simmons seizes the role of the instructor of the
jazz band with enthusiasm and brutality alike. J.K. Simmons offers an unforgettable and award
winning performance as he teaches his students in the style of jazz. For Fletcher, perfection and
toughness are indivisible, and the students do not have any option other than excelling in the band.

Fletcher s physical and emotional abuse behavior seems to strengthen him. Although the audience
might expect students to succumb to pressure in the hands of seemingly tyrannical instructor, they
thrive and exhibit his quest to learn despite the obvious challenges. Arguably, Andrew typifies what
artists can achieve if they believe in their mentors despite humiliation and misery in the music
industry. Andrew shows the audience perseverance, especially when he plays the drums to a point of
bleeding (Chazelle). The fear of losing the tempo and beat is well reflected in student s keenness to
practice according to the teacher s instructions. In Andrew s character, Damien Chazelle infuses the
highest level of ambition. Fletcher complements this goal to the degree of obsession and perfection.
Although Andrew experiences the extreme psychological and physical trauma from the jazz mentor,
he is willing to sacrifice everything to achieve success. The concept of achievement and failure is
evident in the duo s stellar performance.
Whiplash captures the concept of success and failure in which the former prevails. In the hands of
strict and perfectionist instructor, Andrew has to sacrifice everything, including his girlfriend and his
relationship with his father to become a great jazz drummer. Skillfully, Chazelle maneuvers Andrew s
pursuit of greatness towards the conventional happy conclusion. Such maneuvering raises a

Beowulf And The Epic s Christian Identity
Beowulf and the Epic s Christian Identity
Composed in early eighth century by an unknown author the epic poem Beowulf, follows the exploits
of the protagonist of the same name. Originally composed orally by a tribe s scop, the epic of Beowulf
delivers insight on the lives and adventures of characters that lived in the sixth century. Although, the
tale of Beowulf was formulated during post Roman collapse by presumably pagan people; written
around seven hundred A.D., it is probable that a Christian monk transcribed the grand narrative
implanting Christian motifs and ideals into pagan Scandinavian culture. Therefore, the result of this
concoction is a blended storyline infused with religious imagery and allusion along with traditional
Nordic beliefs of war and honor. The tale, and arguably, the tragedy of Beowulf illustrate the conflict
between the Pagan elements and Christian tenets, as aspects of both are present in the epic. The
underlying Christian and Pagan values in Beowulf illustrate the iniquity of mankind and its eventual
downfall through allusion to god, symbolism, and vices and virtues of warrior man.
Firstly, Hrothgar s monologue foreshadows the climax and tragedy of man; moreover, Hrothgar s
speech illuminates the end of both warrior and king. For example, after the battle in which Grendel is
defeated, Hrothgar say, First and foremost, let the Almighty father be thanked for this sight. I suffered
a long harrowing by Grendel. But the Heavenly Shepard can work His

Murder Is A Homicide Crime
Murder Charges
Murder is a homicide crime where there is an intentional killing of a human being by another human
being with malice aforethought. Malice aforethought is what separates murder from other crimes such
as voluntary or involuntary manslaughter ( Free Advice: Law, 2015). Murder can be classified into
different degrees or types, but not all states break them up, but instead name the top type as capital
murder.
First Degree Murder
In most states, first degree murder is defined as the unlawful killing on an individual after planning or
lying in wait for the victim ( Find Law, 2015). The act must be performed out of willfulness,
deliberation, and premeditation to be considered first degree murder in most states. Other acts of
violent felonies such as arson, burglary, kidnapping, robbery, and rape that results in a death can also
be charged as first degree murder ( Diffen, 2014).
Willfulness is the intent to end human life, the life does not have to be a predetermined person so
much as it has to be the thought of carrying out the act on another human being. If a person sets out to
kill a human and unintentionally kills a different person the killer can still be charged with first degree
murder ( Diffen, 2014, para. 2). Deliberation and premedication is determined individually on a case
by case basis and it does not mean killer must think at any length of time or plan ahead for the murder
to be considered premeditated ( Find Law, 2015).

Review Of My Mind
Before watching Temple Grandin, I only knew of the little details that we had discussed in class, and
hearing stories of parents whom I know that have a child with autism. In my mind autism was
something small , only knowing a little less than a handful of people that have autism or have children
or family members with autism. With my little knowledge of the prominent disorder , the image of
autism were ones of those which I had heard stories, such as little to no speaking, continuous routines,
limited relationships, and anger. To me this was the definition of autism. Then the movie completely
opened my mind to things that I didn t know. Autism is not the same all around, every child s disorder
is different. Right off the bat, the movie really made my mind think. When temple is standing in the
room and looks very tall, and then moves to the other side and she gets smaller. I immediately
compared it to autism, and how just because the image appears one way, doesn t mean all images are
the same. Just as she was tall and got shorter the rage of autism varies, and what you see on the
outside isn t always what is going on the inside. This movie made that point very clear. In the begging
of the movie, temple goes to live with her aunt for the summer before she started college to hep her
get her mind off of things. You can see she has a hard time communicating, and needs a routine such
as her name on her door so she knows its her room. And if that norm or routine is

Social Networking Effects On The Socialization Of People
What if Facebook was used to its fullest potential? In twelve years the social networking
site has surely grown quite a bit from the site intended to allow Harvard students to connect with
one another. Today, Facebook is a site filled with advertisements and cheaply made free to play
games. Cat pictures and cheery posts that say, Like/share if you love Jesus! riddle the
landscape of a service that is supposed to be actually connecting people. Things like this have led
people to lose hope in online social networking. To some it seems like it has become a detriment
to society. However, the results of what happens when it is used properly should not be
overlooked. Online social networking in general promotes actual relationships and benefits our
society by providing a medium perfect for connecting with people in a variety of ways. As with
everything, there are those who think differently, believing that social
networking has adverse effects on the socialization of people. It s still surprising to me,
however, this combination of Orwell and WALL E that has humans watching one another
through computer screens and socializing through in quasi isolation, remarks an article
on Times.com (Davis). Those of that opinion think that indirect communication via online
social networking will lead to increased isolationist tendencies. While these seem like valid
concerns, if anything, those feared online social networks actually help people in social

Overview and Significance of Zimbardo’s Prison Experiment
Overview and Significance of Zimbardo s Prison Experiment Have you ever wondered why ordinary

Who do smart people sometimes do dumb or irrational things? Zimbardo is one of the most significant

paper is to go into depth on the previous prison experiment, how it came about, and how the findings
play a role in society today. The Life and Times of Zimbardo Philip George Zimbardo was born in

Eventually the prisoners started rebelling, irritating the guards purposely, and that is when the study
actually began. After around three days of the guards and the prisoners going back and forth prisoner
8612 had an emotional breakdown. Originally everyone thought that he was just a weak individual but
looking back at it, five other prisoners started having emotional breakdowns as well. I think this
stemmed from having all their freedom, their rights taking away over night. Having to clean toilets
with your bare hands, and being humiliated sexually in front of your peers. On the fifth day of the
study Zimbardo invited his girlfriend to come see the experiment and when she was down there she
broke down crying and left because she witnessed bags over the prisoners head as they walked to the
bathroom. She said, It s terrible what you are doing to those boys in tears. At first Zimbardo didn t
realize what she meant so he defended his study stating that this is the natural humanistic way but
when she said I don t want anything to do with you if this is the real you. He then realized what he
was doing was unethical and causing real psychological harm and that moment is when he stopped his
study just six days in. Reality of the Simulation This brings up the question why do good people do
bad things? Although this was an experiment, many feel to this day that this was the real deal.

A Doll House Sacrifice Essay
In the play, A Dollhouse, Henrik Ibsen uses sacrifice as means for illuminating the characters values
and the work as a whole. He utilizes Nora s sacrifice in order to uncover the humanitarian message
that is in the play. Nora s crime of forging her father s signature to borrow money and her later crime
of leaving her family reveals the transformation from her highly upheld value of family to individual
value and worth to convey that all people have rights and a voice to be heard. Nora sacrifices her
morals in order to save her husband, Torvald, from illness. She broke the law and forged her father s
signature to borrow money to go South. She has feeling on one hand and belief in authority on the
other and she choses her feelings (Ibsen Notes for, 1776). She is proud of this act or crime because it

After Torvald s cruel reaction, she understands that personal and human freedom are not measured in
economic terms (Witham 1786). She comes to the realization that it does not matter how well off they
are financially or the perfect appearance they have, but that individual freedom and identity are the
key to happiness. In order to reach this, Nora must leave her family and home life. Nora s decision to
leave her comfortable life is not an easy choice because not only was she is leaving behind her family,
but she is also stepping into society s line of fire. Women faced condemnation from society for not
choosing socially prescribed roles of marriage (Atner 1794). She, like other brave people, chose to
abandon these roles in order to realize their value as individuals (Atner 1794). Nora sacrifices the
appearance of a dollhouse to better understand herself and this cost the destruction of her family
(Witham 1786). It is at this point she goes from the Angel in the House to the Fallen

throughout the whole film.
After the man has collapsed to the floor the camera zooms into his eyes and the scene changes. It
focuses on another mans face with the caption Dog Green sector Omaha Beach June 6th 1944. This is
a flashback and a complete contrast from the cemetery. It s very loud and the colours are grey and
dark. The camera then focuses on the man s shaking hands and the men around him who are clearly
nervous, praying or being sick; Spiel burg is determined to show from the start that the war is not
glamorous or a game. You see how stormy it is and how many boats there are approaching the beach.
Bullets start straight away and people are killed before they have even got off the boats. When they
start going in to the water the camera does a number of underwater shots whilst bullets fire past them.
It is as if the camera is seeing through the eyes of one of the soldiers, making you feel very involved
in the struggle. The water becomes clouded with blood and at one point the camera bobs up and down
in the water, seeming like a drowning man. All of this adds to making the viewer feel like they are
right there with them making it quite personal.

Orenda Essay
Joseph Boyden s novel The Orenda displays the tragedies of warfare, famine, disease, and the slow
rise of colonization. The Orenda refers to the soul that inhabits all living things and the novel explores
the loss of the Huron people s Orenda as well as their way of living through the rise of Christianity.
The colonization of the French people, in this case the priests, is what leads the Huron to lose their
Orenda. This is caused by the Huron underestimating the power of Christophe Crow, letting more
Europeans become a part of their society and the desperation that is caused by the great war against

This warning foreshadows the ending of the book where the Huron had no choice but watch the
destruction of their community along with their people and their culture. The decision to keep Crow in
spite of the bad feeling that it brings Gosling as well as the obliviousness of the Hurons to Crow s
powers marks the beginning of colonization that eventually wipes out their identity. Second, the
introduction of more Europeans to the land of the Huron impacts the people severely. Not only do the
white men bring colonization with them, they also bring diseases that wipes out about half of the
Huron population. The Europeans brought diseases such as smallpox and yellow fever and because the
Huron were not exposed to these diseases before, their bodies are not able to fight the diseases which
causes half the population s death. After this dilemma, a series of unfortunate events spirals on the
Huron. They encounter a drought, which forces them to rely on trading with the French but with half
their population gone, the are not able to venture out and trade with the French. In addition, with half
the population gone, they are not able to complete as much tasks as the big community used to

Lab Report of the Experiment of Conjugation of E. Coli
Abstract:Conjugation is a natural occurring process that involves the transfer of DNA from one cell
into another through a physical connection between the cells. In the following experiment, two strains
of Escherichia coli bacterial cells (donor F lac+strs and recipient F lac strr) underwent conjugation to
produce a transconjugant strain (F lac+strr). MAC plates and streptomycin were utilized to determine
if conjugation had occurred. When plated, the donor colonies appeared red and the recipient colonies

100 μl of 10 5 and 10 6 dilutions of donor cells were each plated onto MacConkey (MAC) agar plates
without streptomycin. 100 μl of 10 5 dilution of donor cells and 10 5 and 10 6 recipient were also
plated onto MAC plates with streptomycin. 100 μl of 10 4 and 10 5 dilutions of the conjugation
mixture cells were plated onto MAC agar with streptomycin. All seven plates were inverted and

The latter option is most common. It involves writing and defending a thesis or completing a research
project which represents the culmination of the material learned.
Admission to a Master s program is normally contingent upon holding a bachelor s degree. Should the
student desire to graduate from a doctoral program, Master s level training is a prerequisite. In some
fields or graduate programs, work on a doctorate can begin as soon as the bachelor s degree is
finished. Some programs offer a joint Bachelor s and Master s degree after four to five years of study.
At the completion of these programs both a B.A. and an M.S. can be awarded.
For thesis projects, students will typically work with an academic adviser to propose a topic, write a
research prospectus and draft a final paper describing the research results. The research process takes
about one year. The thesis is then reviewed by the student s academic committee who must approve
the paper before the student can proceed to graduation. If revisions are needed, graduation could be
delayed for one or more semesters.
Many graduate schools have residency requirements to complete a degree. A student may be required
to spend at least one year living on campus and must accumulate a minimum number of course credits
to be considered eligible for his degree. As online graduate education advanced, this residency
requirement has been adjusted. Matriculation online may

the wealthy and lower income students lose in this situation. Lower income households end up
borrowing too much. It doesn t affect the elite; in fact, they have the largest spike opposed to the other
classes. Although college completion rates have increased, the cost of borrowing has also increased
for lower class households. In a developing country, since there is more poverty and less parents that
went to college, it led to most adults not having any schooling.
During my research, I came to a realization that the United States is actually increasing slowly in
income inequality. I saw this in another factor: health. The U.S. has a universal health care system that
sometimes benefits people by providing little cost co pays. The length of life varies among the
individuals and it was found that additional income allows for better care of oneself. This says that
greater income inequality will produce greater inequality of life spans within countries. The life

The Importance Of Geometry
Problem statement.
Geometry is a requisite skill to be mastered (Copley, 2000). Geometry is the branch of mathematics
that deals with point, line, plane, space, spatial figures and the relationships among these(Kösa, 2016).
It is an essential component of mathematics, and plays a crucial role in fill the gap between
mathematics and science. geometry is very important in architecture and design, in engineering and in
various aspects of life.(Abdullah Zakaria, 2013) geometry is the aspect of mathematics that involves
shape, size, position, guidance, and movement and classifies and describes the physical world we live
in (Copley, 2000). Geometry is an interesting area of mathematics to teach (Keith Jones, 2002)
The study of geometry helps students to develop the skills of critical thinking visualisation,

considerable international interest (Poon Leung, 2016).
So we should determination the major problems related with secondary school geometry. The factors

Modern Democratic Governments
According to the Economist Intelligence Unit s Democracy index map for 2012, nearly half of the
world s population was living under democratic governments. Democracy is spreading throughout the
world, although growth has slowed, and many nations have drawn their political inspiration from the
United States of America, which was one of the first to govern under a constitutional republic in the
modern era. One of the more unique features of our government, which other countries have attempted
to adopt, has been that of federalism, which is the political system in which authority is divided among
the central government and separate, lower governments, such as America s individual states.
However, the system of checks and balances which the founders placed into the constitution to form a
separation of power among the government has not been so readily duplicated by other democratic
nations. According to America s founding fathers, it was vital that the newly established government
be separated into equal divisions, to ensure that no single institution monopolized power. They
accomplished this by creating three distinctly separate and equally independent branches, which form
the infrastructure of the government. According to founder James Madison, the ambition of each
branch should be made to counter act ambition of the other two (Madison, Federalist 51, 1788). There
are other techniques of governmental separation, such as parliamentary systems, where the executive

Lithium Ion Batteries Are Made From Lithium
Lithium ion batteries are made from lithium; hence the name. Since lithium is an unstable metal,
lithium ions must be made through chemicals. Lithium is used because it is the lightest metal with the
highest electrochemical potential. Inside these batteries are a positive electrode called the cathode, an
anode or the negative electrode and lithium ions. Theses lithium ions move from the negative
electrode to the positive when it s being used and vice versa when it s being charged. For the
electrodes not to be combined, there is a separator in between the negative and positive electrodes.
Another type of battery is a alkaline batteries, which is made out zinc and manganese dioxide.
Alkaline batteries works like other batteries. There is a negative electrode, zinc powder, a positive
electrode, manganese dioxide, an electrolyte, potassium hydroxide, a separator, and a brass pin. Once
the electrolytes are added, a chemical reaction happens when the manganese dioxide oxidizes and
allows the zinc and manganese dioxide to combine to form electricity in the battery. Zinc carbon
batteries is another type of battery that is made of carbon and zinc. This battery works when the
carbon rod, cathode, in the center collects electrons from the anode, shell of the battery that consists of
zinc chloride, part of the battery, which creates a circuit. An electrolyte paste made from ammonium
chloride surrounds a piece a paper that keeps the electrons moving and causes the battery to produce

Pros And Cons Of 1950s Decade
I agree with the author on even though 1950s get more votes compared to other decades, however, it
still have a lot of mixed pros and cons. The 1950s sound like a great decade for many family to have a
better life because of better economy. However, there still a lot of sexism and racism which cause the
decade sound like a nightmare for an Asian girl like me. The 1950s decade is not a good decade to live
in even though it have a lot things that help family to have a better life. For example, the author give
the reader some statistics : In Philadelphia, for example, the City of Brotherly Love, there were more
than 200 racial incidents over housing in the first six months of 1950s alone (40). It is hard to even

others people bias and bad treatments. An example, The Federal Housing Authority..., refused to
insure homes in all black or in racially mixed neighborhoods (40). This means that, there were a lot of
government benefits got created only to help out the White people. Compared to today, people with

background, which is inseparable from the social political, economic and cultural environment impact.
De Stijl is form by a Dutch genre painting, it had the huge impact on the design community. This
movement in the design world is the beginning of the modernist art in Dutch, it is also an important
part in the early modernist design movement. Design style definition of Stijl movement is showing
material in a very simple way, its designers used extremely simple and orderly style of painting,
colour and form lines applied on the architecture, clothing, furniture and other aspects of design. This
paper is focus on exploring the long term influences of De Stijl architecture in modern architecture
design and also the specific application in the interior decoration. It will in depth discuss about many
different aspects of the movement from philosophy, concept of space and form, structure, etc;
spanning more than 90 years of history.

The Basic Concepts Of Ilp
Introduction Instruction level parallelism(or we call it ILP) is a form of parallel operation or
calculation which allows program to perform multiple instructions at one time. Thus it is also a
measurement to describe the amount of instruction per unit time.We will explore the LIP from an
overall view to the several specific methods to exploit it. ILP is a measure of how many of the
instructions in a computer program can be executed simultaneously. When exploiting instruction level
parallelism, goal is to maximize CPI. As for how much ILP exists in programs is very application
specific. In certain fields, like graphics and scientific computing the amount can be very large while
workloads such as cryptography may exhibit much less parallelism. Micro architectural techniques
that are used to exploit ILP include instruction pipelining, superscalar execution, register renaming,
and so on. This paper will first access the basic concepts of ILP by exploring the ways of handling
data, including the controlling data dependence and data hazards. Then we will talk about ways of how
to expose ILP using pipelining and loop scheduling in compiler(the ways to speed up instruction
operation). Additionally, we will discuss the details of dealing with data hazards by dynamic
scheduling (allow execution before control dependence is solved) by using the examples of Tomasulo
s algorithm and explain the different types of branch prediction(choose which instruction to be
executed). Next we will

Essay On Race And Reunion
Throughout the course of this semester I can say that I have learned more about the civil war and
racial tensions than I have in my whole life. Through that knowledge I can make the argument that
you can make the comparison between the time periods. No not all the comparisons come from the
racial tensions of the times, other comparisons come from the political tensions and the economy.
When looking back you can make several comparisons to Abraham Lincoln s past, to Donald Trump s.
And those who came before both men, even some of the similar issues faced during the elections. The
big question here is if we should make the comparison, or is it dragging up unnecessary tensions that
really mean nothing? Well, is it unnecessary if what happened ... Show more content on

We take a look at David blight s book Race and Reunion, which is based directly after the civil war,
we see more of the direct effects of the civil war outcome. There was a bigger effect in the country
directly after the war, but within 10 years of the end of the civil war things reverted back to the way
they were before. Then come reconstruction where we see probably the biggest change in the country,
people actually try and revert back to before the civil war in the antebellum period. White southerners
actually try and ignore that the civil war, even happened and why it happens. We see more of the
complete denial of the civil war in Lillian Smith book Killers of a Dream, based early 1900s follows
the life of a white southern girl and how she saw the south. Even though she told us a side of the south
many southerners would die before admit to it still was not the real south, she was blinded by her
upbringing. Like many of the people in the south they knew something was wrong, but chose to ignore
it. We then venture to Pete Daniels Lost Revolutions, which hit directly in the 50s and 60s and told an
unbiased look at the south and all the wrongdoing going on not only in the south but all over the
country. Based on the book we can take a look into the racial tensions going on, the events which led
to the rioting, and the effects it had on the actual outcome of the civil rights

It appears that Shakespeare is justifying Macbeth s ruthless ambition and want to maintain power,
which puts Macbeth into darker depths by having Banquo and Fleance murdered, by his lack of an
heir. Similarly, the audience is provided by Snowball as the rival to Napoleon s absolute power in his
introduction to the character in Chapter 2. Orwell tells the reader he was a more vivacious pig than
Napoleon , setting him up immediately in competition His description goes on to describe him as
quicker in speech and more inventive . This is proven when he emerges later in Chapter 4 as the brave
hero of the Battle of the Cowshed after which we see him awarded with the military decoration of
Animal Hero First Class while the reader realizes Napoleon seems to be conspicuous in his absence.
Moreover, Snowball invents plans for the windmill and Orwell outlines all his creative ideas in his
committees and therefore Napoleon clearly makes plans to expel him from the farm. The key
difference between Shakespeare and Orwell s presentations is that we witness Macbeth s thought
processes and plans while Orwell keeps the reader in the dark yet offers them clues that Napoleon is
not to be trusted. It comes as no surprise to the reader in Chapter 5 when Napoleon unleashes his
personally educated dogs, who represent Stalin s secret police, on Snowball. Both leaders maintain
power by eradicating any competition.

appellee (person trying to make the higher court stick to the lower court s decision) is Henry Wade.
The cases docket number is 70 18, this means this case started in 1970. The case was decided by
Supreme Court on January 22nd of 1973. The case was argued twice, once on December 13th of 1971,
and the other on October 11th of 1972. The court sided with Jane Roe, the score was seven votes for
her and two votes against her. The court then explained that women s right to abortion was protected
by the Fourteenth Amendment, this was decided from a past case called Griswold v. Connecticut. This
decision made woman have total control over their pregnancy during the first trimester. In different
states it also allowed up to the third trimester of pregnancy. Because of this case, 46 states laws were

This case is about abortion law in the United States and how it changed after this court case. The
following is a summary of how the following case played out and how it ended in Jane Roe s favor.
Jane Roe was a Texas resident and wanted to abort her baby. The Texas law at that time did not allow
any woman to abort her baby unless it was to save the pregnant woman s life. After taking this case to
the Supreme Court there were two arguments. The first argument ended with Jane Roe s

The Significance Of The Four Noble Practices In Western...
1. Various things echo practices in Western religion. The Noble Eightfold Path for instance, echoes the
Ten Commandments of the Christianity. They both instruct people on what and whatnot to do, and
give them a guideline for everyday life. For example, the Noble Eightfold path instructs people to
have Right Conduct, which is similar to the Ten Commandments saying not to kill or steal. The Four
Noble Truths tell about the evils of the World and how to avoid them, just like the Bible. Also, the
Bible tells Christians how to please God and eventually reach Heaven, just as the Four Noble Truths
leads Buddhists to Nirvana. Buddha tells the Bhikkhus, Since I possessed, O Bhikkhus, with perfect
purity this true knowledge and insight into theses four Noble Truths . . . I had obtained the highest,
universal Sambodhi . ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I think Buddha rejected their ascetic practices because they were too extreme. He knows that humans
can t be healthy and alert if they are deprived of food or sleep. Buddha realizes someone won t
become a better person or reach enlightenment by restricting their body from the basic necessities of
life. Buddha tells the Bhikkhus Neither abstinence from fish or flesh, nor going naked . . . will cleanse
a man who is not free from delusions . Most ascetics would deprive their bodies of food and sleep, and
some of them would even practice self mortification. The Middle Way is a balance between asceticism
and over indulgence in the pleasures of the World. It allows a person to eat, drink, and sleep according
to their needs. Buddha states that the Middle Path Keeps aloof from both

This is one of our Company Law s assignment given by our lecturer in our senior year, during the
tutorial classes. Just to share our answers. Question Pearl, Jade Diamond decided to form a limited
company. The company will be involved in the entertainment business providing models and dancers
for the industry. In the meantime, they entered into a contract of employment with Tyra. Tyra is to act
as their event manager. The terms of the contract states that Tyra will be paid RM10,000 a month and
will continue to work with the company once the company has been formed, for a period of three
years. Three months later, a company known as CayoteUgly Bhd (CUB) was formed. CUB s MOA

In addition, Tyra was referred as a promoter because she is the person entered into contracts on behalf
of a company before that company has received its certificate of incorporation. In Twycross v Grant
(1877) 2 CPD 469, for example, Cockburn CJ declared that a promoter was: one who undertakes to
form a company with reference to a given project and to set it going, and who takes the necessary
steps to accomplish that purpose In regards, the CayoteUgly Bhd (CUB) was formed and the Board of
Director s meeting has decided to issue their shares to the public. Impulsively, Tyra s employment was
come to an end, and it was absolutely contravened with the contract she had, which was stated that she
will continue to work with the company once the company has been formed for a period of three
years. Besides that, she will be paid for RM 10,000 per month. Hence, the issue is whether Tyra would
be successful in her action against CUB for breach of contract or not? CUB is a public company and
by that it may issue shares to the public with the requirement to issue form of application for shares or
debentures with a prospectus [1]. As evidence on this, Section 15 provides that a public company is
not affected by the restrictions, limitations and prohibitions and it may offer its shares and debentures
to members of the public. On the other hands, a company limited by shares is defined as, a company

Public transportation provides numerous positive attributes to the community at large. It enhances
personal opportunities by providing personal mobility and freedom, gives people transportation
options to get to work, go to school, visit friends, or go to a doctor s office, provides access to job
opportunities. It saves fuel and reduces congestion, provides economic opportunities and drives
community growth and revitalization. Statistically, every $1 invested in public transportation
generates approximately $4 in economic returns, every $10 million in capital investment in public
transportation yields $30 million in increased business sales, every $10 million in operating
investment yields $32 million in increased business sales, and from 2006 2011, residential property
values performed 42 percent better on average if they were located near public transportation with
high frequency service. Public transportation saves money and reduces gasoline consumption.
According to APTA s transit saving report, a two person household can save, on the average, more
than $10,174 a year by downsizing to one car. Public transportation use in the United States saves 4.2
billion gallons of gasoline annually and households near public transit drive an average of 4,400 fewer

  • 6. Arctic Ocean Exchange Ecosystems in the approximate northern part of our planet are subject to profound changes, such as amplified rise in air temperature following the rapid loss of millions of square kilometers in the Arctic sea ice (Lawrence et al., 2008; Serreze and Barry, 2011; Screen et al., 2012; Bhatt et al., 2014). This sea ice induced warming feedback extends from the marine to the terrestrial domain and may consequently increase the emission of strenuous greenhouse gas methane from high latitude wetland soils (Parmentier, 2013). An increase in terrestrial methane emissions possible therefore can be accessible to the sea ice changes occurring easily off within the Arctic Ocean, when sea ice melts and gives way to an unblocked ocean, an immense lowering ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During the study there was a distinct negative correlation between the months of methane fluxes and sea ice extent throughout the Arctic, indicating elevated methane emissions (Parmentier et al., 2013). However there was a positive correlation that appeared in the Canadian Archipelago, which indicated a decrease in methane emissions concurrent with sea ice regression. The difference between regions is most recognizable from August to October, when it is seen there is an increase in methane emissions. In absolute terms, emissions are the most elevated in midsummer and much lower start of autumn, which may restrict the effect of sea ice induced warming (Parmentier et al., 2013). The absolute rise in emissions was governed by extrapolating the difference in emission trends, the team estimated that emissions were on average 1.7 Tg CH4 yr 1higher in sea ice affected areas (Parmentier et al., 2013). This synergy complicates the explanation of a correlation with sea ice during springtime when both sea ice regress and previous snowmelt could cause a temperature related rise ... • 7. Arthur Miller s The Crucible Essay In Arthur Miller s The Crucible, the normal criteria that a central character fits, is not met by the apparent protagonist, John Proctor. Common traits one might expect to find in a traditional hero are humility, patience and caring. John Proctor, while he is the principal, has many qualities that could instead assume him the role of the antagonist and land him in the adversary box. His background and slight character flaws cause him to take on the personalities of both a protagonist and antagonist. Proctor, because he exhibits qualities of both types of characters, is what is known as a tragic hero. Tragic heroes are characters within stories that due to a judgment error, is the cause of his/her own demise. In Proctor s case, his error was made when he refuses to give up the names of other alleged witches, and refuses to allow the court to hang his confession in the center of town. John Proctor embodies three major signs of tragic heroism. Proctor, even through the rest of the village perceives him as great, knows deep down inside that because of past sins, he will never be able to live up to his reputation. As well, John Proctor is a tragic hero because he had the power to stop his own execution, therefore his downfall was no one s fault but his own. This reluctance to forfeit the names of other witches could be seen as a character flaw. The final criteria that Proctor meets for a tragic hero is that the punishment received is way too severe for the crime committed. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Medicine and Doctors in Final Cut by Atul Gawande The main theme of Final Cut by Atul Gawande is that medicine is an inexact science and doctors are not always sure of themselves, even if they appear confident. Gawande s main argument is simply stated: there has been a decline in the amount of autopsies performed in the medical field as a result of medical arrogance; over confident doctors believe they know the cause of death and do not want to perform autopsies. Gawande illustrates his argument by outlining the history of autopsy use in medicine, incorporating medical cases that he has experienced as a surgeon, and including statistics on autopsy usage. Final Cut is an outstanding profile on the decline of autopsy use in medicine. What makes Final Cut an enjoyable and informative article for all readers is its use of strategies associated with fiction such as the establishment of characters, balance between medical information and personal experience, and its use of active voice. It is evident throughout Final Cut that Gawande is an author who draws on and adapts elements of fiction such as the establishment of characters and the creation of tension and suspense within his journalism. By incorporating medical cases he has experienced as a surgeon, Gawande is able to establish many characters that the reader develops an emotional connection with. This emotional connection develops because readers are provided with just enough information about the characters to individualize them, allowing readers to care about ... The most appropriate way to analyze the Dead Heads would be to look at their behavior from the Symbolic Interaction approach. This view focuses on society as being the product of everyday interactions between individuals. In understanding the Dead Heads, a participant observation research method would be most fitting. The participant observation approach gives the researcher a first hand account of how the Dead Heads behave and interact with each other and the outside world. The fear of losing the tempo and beat is well reflected in student s keenness to practice according to the teacher s instructions. In Andrew s character, Damien Chazelle infuses the highest level of ambition. Fletcher complements this goal to the degree of obsession and perfection. Although Andrew experiences the extreme psychological and physical trauma from the jazz mentor, he is willing to sacrifice everything to achieve success. The concept of achievement and failure is evident in the duo s stellar performance. Whiplash captures the concept of success and failure in which the former prevails. In the hands of strict and perfectionist instructor, Andrew has to sacrifice everything, including his girlfriend and his relationship with his father to become a great jazz drummer. • 11. Beowulf And The Epic s Christian Identity Beowulf and the Epic s Christian Identity Composed in early eighth century by an unknown author the epic poem Beowulf, follows the exploits of the protagonist of the same name. Originally composed orally by a tribe s scop, the epic of Beowulf delivers insight on the lives and adventures of characters that lived in the sixth century. Although, the tale of Beowulf was formulated during post Roman collapse by presumably pagan people; written around seven hundred A.D., it is probable that a Christian monk transcribed the grand narrative implanting Christian motifs and ideals into pagan Scandinavian culture. Therefore, the result of this concoction is a blended storyline infused with religious imagery and allusion along with traditional Nordic beliefs of war and honor. The tale, and arguably, the tragedy of Beowulf illustrate the conflict between the Pagan elements and Christian tenets, as aspects of both are present in the epic. The underlying Christian and Pagan values in Beowulf illustrate the iniquity of mankind and its eventual downfall through allusion to god, symbolism, and vices and virtues of warrior man. Firstly, Hrothgar s monologue foreshadows the climax and tragedy of man; moreover, Hrothgar s speech illuminates the end of both warrior and king. For example, after the battle in which Grendel is defeated, Hrothgar say, First and foremost, let the Almighty father be thanked for this sight. I suffered a long harrowing by Grendel. • 12. Murder Is A Homicide Crime Murder Charges Murder is a homicide crime where there is an intentional killing of a human being by another human being with malice aforethought. Malice aforethought is what separates murder from other crimes such as voluntary or involuntary manslaughter ( Free Advice: Law, 2015). Murder can be classified into different degrees or types, but not all states break them up, but instead name the top type as capital murder. First Degree Murder In most states, first degree murder is defined as the unlawful killing on an individual after planning or lying in wait for the victim ( Find Law, 2015). The act must be performed out of willfulness, deliberation, and premeditation to be considered first degree murder in most states. Other acts of violent felonies such as arson, burglary, kidnapping, robbery, and rape that results in a death can also be charged as first degree murder ( Diffen, 2014). Willfulness is the intent to end human life, the life does not have to be a predetermined person so much as it has to be the thought of carrying out the act on another human being. If a person sets out to kill a human and unintentionally kills a different person the killer can still be charged with first degree murder ( Diffen, 2014, para. 2). Deliberation and premedication is determined individually on a case by case basis and it does not mean killer must think at any length of time or plan ahead for the murder to be considered premeditated ( Find Law, 2015). In my mind autism was something small , only knowing a little less than a handful of people that have autism or have children or family members with autism. With my little knowledge of the prominent disorder , the image of autism were ones of those which I had heard stories, such as little to no speaking, continuous routines, limited relationships, and anger. To me this was the definition of autism. Then the movie completely opened my mind to things that I didn t know. Autism is not the same all around, every child s disorder is different. Right off the bat, the movie really made my mind think. When temple is standing in the room and looks very tall, and then moves to the other side and she gets smaller. I immediately compared it to autism, and how just because the image appears one way, doesn t mean all images are the same. Just as she was tall and got shorter the rage of autism varies, and what you see on the outside isn t always what is going on the inside. This movie made that point very clear. In the begging of the movie, temple goes to live with her aunt for the summer before she started college to hep her get her mind off of things. • 14. Social Networking Effects On The Socialization Of People What if Facebook was used to its fullest potential? In twelve years the social networking site has surely grown quite a bit from the site intended to allow Harvard students to connect with one another. Today, Facebook is a site filled with advertisements and cheaply made free to play games. Cat pictures and cheery posts that say, Like/share if you love Jesus! riddle the landscape of a service that is supposed to be actually connecting people. Things like this have led people to lose hope in online social networking. To some it seems like it has become a detriment to society. However, the results of what happens when it is used properly should not be overlooked. Online social networking in general promotes actual relationships and benefits our society by providing a medium perfect for connecting with people in a variety of ways. As with everything, there are those who think differently, believing that social networking has adverse effects on the socialization of people. It s still surprising to me, however, this combination of Orwell and WALL E that has humans watching one another through computer screens and socializing through in quasi isolation, remarks an article on Times.com (Davis). Those of that opinion think that indirect communication via online social networking will lead to increased isolationist tendencies. He utilizes Nora s sacrifice in order to uncover the humanitarian message that is in the play. For the birth year, it would be the birth year of the parents of the students going to college. The percent is the percentage of students that completed college. As you can easily tell that the elite class keeps rising, while the low class barely moves. The developed country of the United States has increased the college costs for students in recent years. Higher costs only benefit the wealthy and lower income students lose in this situation. Lower income households end up borrowing too much. It doesn t affect the elite; in fact, they have the largest spike opposed to the other classes. Although college completion rates have increased, the cost of borrowing has also increased for lower class households. In a developing country, since there is more poverty and less parents that went to college, it led to most adults not having any schooling. During my research, I came to a realization that the United States is actually increasing slowly in income inequality. I saw this in another factor: health. The U.S. has a universal health care system that sometimes benefits people by providing little cost co pays. The length of life varies among the individuals and it was found that additional income allows for better care of oneself. This says that greater income inequality will produce greater inequality of life spans within countries. The life expectancy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Democracy is spreading throughout the world, although growth has slowed, and many nations have drawn their political inspiration from the United States of America, which was one of the first to govern under a constitutional republic in the modern era. One of the more unique features of our government, which other countries have attempted to adopt, has been that of federalism, which is the political system in which authority is divided among the central government and separate, lower governments, such as America s individual states. However, the system of checks and balances which the founders placed into the constitution to form a separation of power among the government has not been so readily duplicated by other democratic nations. According to America s founding fathers, it was vital that the newly established government be separated into equal divisions, to ensure that no single institution monopolized power. They accomplished this by creating three distinctly separate and equally independent branches, which form the infrastructure of the government. Theses lithium ions move from the negative electrode to the positive when it s being used and vice versa when it s being charged. Thus it is also a measurement to describe the amount of instruction per unit time.We will explore the LIP from an overall view to the several specific methods to exploit it. ILP is a measure of how many of the instructions in a computer program can be executed simultaneously. When exploiting instruction level parallelism, goal is to maximize CPI. As for how much ILP exists in programs is very application specific. In certain fields, like graphics and scientific computing the amount can be very large while workloads such as cryptography may exhibit much less parallelism. Micro architectural techniques that are used to exploit ILP include instruction pipelining, superscalar execution, register renaming, and so on. This paper will first access the basic concepts of ILP by exploring the ways of handling data, including the controlling data dependence and data hazards. Then we will talk about ways of how to expose ILP using pipelining and loop scheduling in compiler(the ways to speed up instruction operation). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It appears that Shakespeare is justifying Macbeth s ruthless ambition and want to maintain power, which puts Macbeth into darker depths by having Banquo and Fleance murdered, by his lack of an heir. Similarly, the audience is provided by Snowball as the rival to Napoleon s absolute power in his introduction to the character in Chapter 2. Orwell tells the reader he was a more vivacious pig than Napoleon , setting him up immediately in competition His description goes on to describe him as quicker in speech and more inventive . This is proven when he emerges later in Chapter 4 as the brave hero of the Battle of the Cowshed after which we see him awarded with the military decoration of Animal Hero First Class while the reader realizes Napoleon seems to be conspicuous in his absence. Moreover, Snowball invents plans for the windmill and Orwell outlines all his creative ideas in his committees and therefore Napoleon clearly makes plans to expel him from the farm. The key difference between Shakespeare and Orwell s presentations is that we witness Macbeth s thought processes and plans while Orwell keeps the reader in the dark yet offers them clues that Napoleon is not to be trusted. It comes as no surprise to the reader in Chapter 5 when Napoleon unleashes his personally educated dogs, who represent Stalin s secret police, on Snowball. Both leaders maintain power by eradicating any competition. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
