Iago Greed Quotes
It is common to be taught to always use whatever resources are available to reach a goal. Whatever is
provided is fair to use to attain a vision. However, there is a fine line between being resourceful and
being manipulative. Both come from greed. This conception applies to a self centered character, Iago,
in Othello. In Shakespeare s Othello, Iago is not an envious character, but he is just a clever man, who
is able to decipher and magnify other characters flaws, to benefit him. To fulfill his selfish desires, he
uses the most destructive weapon in the play; trust. Iago manages to manipulate Roderigo s
incompetence to think for himself, Othello s insecurities and Cassio s chivalrous nature to achieve is
greatest intent.
Firstly, Roderigo s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Iago found out Cassio became Othello s lieutenant, he can be comprehended as jealous. He
talks about Cassio s lack of knowledge and experience with fighting (I.i.20 27). Although, Iago may
seem jealous of Cassio, he is only furious with Othello. Later, when Cassio welcomes Emilia by
kissing her hand, he is being polite. He also speaks very highly of Desdemona by saying, One that
excels the quirks of blazoning pens, (II.i.69). Even though he genuinely respects her, he can be
perceived as provocative. Moving on, Iago tries to get Cassio drunk. Since Cassio is very kind, he
eventually gives in and takes some alcohol, which leads to him getting into a brawl with Montano and
Roderigo, staged by Iago. Othello becomes aware of the irrational fight and strips Cassio of his
lieutenancy, for his foolish behaviour. (II.iii.264 265) Cassio takes Iago s advice of seeking
Desdemona s help to earn his job and trust with Othello, back. He too refers to Iago as honest Iago,
(II.iii.355) Cassio places his trust with Iago, while Iago uses this to misrepresent Cassio and
Desdemona s interactions to Othello. Eventually, Othello gives Cassio s lieutenant position to Iago,
but Iago continues to cause more chaos. Hence, Iago was not really jealous of Cassio taking his
lieutenant position,

The Theory Of Cognitive Therapy
Abstract
The theory of Cognitive Therapy was Beck s initial therapy approach to depression. This paper will
provide an overview of Cognitive Therapy and treatment modalities for depression, as well as the
writer s personal view on counseling and cognitive therapy. Additionally, the paper will examine
depression as a presenting problem and the use (application) of Cognitive Therapy theory to treating a
person with depression.
Cognitive Therapy Theory as Applied to Depression
Review of Cognitive Therapy Theory Cognitive Therapy (CT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
(CBT) are used interchangeable. Cognitive therapy is a series of short term treatments that teaches
specific skills.
Aaron T. Beck is known as the founder of CT for depression in the 1960s and 70s, and he and some
colleagues developed a full manual that described the treatment (DeRubeis, Siegle, Hollon, 2008, p.
789). Further, the authors indicates that in CT the role of the therapist is to teach the individual how to
acquire the basic skills to recognize negative thoughts and images that causes the emotional
experience and how to block out those thoughts and images that are believed to be the contributing
factor (p. 789). Jarrett, Vittengl, Clark, and Thase (2011) implies that the purpose of CT is to teach a
person to identify and modify relations between thoughts, feelings, and behavior so that it will help
alleviate emotional distress. Hofmann, Asmundson and Beck (2013) indicates that CT

I Chose The Top Left Picture Of The Vanity Fair
In this 21st century where representation and visibility of all groups is valued, it is not surprising to
see photos or videos in the media promoting or even advertising unique lifestyle that just a few
decades ago would unearthed a feeling of disgust or repulsion. While on one hand some uses media in
a positive way, introducing us to new fresher ideas which would ve been unthinkable before. Suchlike
families aside from the traditional nuclear family (e.g. single parent household, lesbian and gay
couples, or eccentric families in general), people of colour taking bolder or positions of leadership, or
even simple individuals breaking the barrier of norms. On the other hand, there are those who simply
see the media as a lucrative business aimed to spread consumer commodification and vain lifestyle. As
I want to focus on the latter, I chose the top left picture of the Vanity Fair (VF) March 2014 issue. This
month s issue s cover is Jen Selter, fitness model and supposedly an inspiration for many young girls
to go to the gym. I can be put in the basket of haters but frankly, I ve never heard of her and seeing
just the magazine with her on the cover, in that position wearing that dress doesn t appeal to me. She s
wearing a black dress that covers parts that should be, but is showing enough skin to entice curiosity
paired with black stilettos. Taking a four legged animal stance on bland looking table with a hazy,
rugged wall to complete the scene . Honestly speaking, at

The Superpowers And Causes Of The Cold War
Introduction
The Cold War was an era where two superpowers fought for dominance. For many years, the US and
USSR have been the leading powers in the whole world. However, the United States was trying to
gain followers of their democratic ideal, whereas the USSR promoted communism. Through some
attempts of reaching a common ground, both superpowers caused a split between the East and the
West until 1991. The main reasons lie in the events of years 1945 1947.
Yalta Conference
First of all, the Cold War s origins go back to the events of 1945 when two important conferences have
occurred: Yalta and Potsdam. A mutual lack of trust has been present between countries US and USSR
for years. However, these two countries (along with Britain) came together ... Show more content on

Greece was a poor country at that time; destroyed, full of tubercular, and with zero animals, livestock
or poultry. It especially had a low chance of economic recovery, as militant minority led by
Communists threatened it. The army was tiny and unequipped, thus was unable to protect its country
from foreigners who foisted their totalitarian regime on them. Truman believed that only the US could
help Greece in their long term recovery. He said, The United States must supply this assistance...there
is no other country to which democratic Greece can turn. ( Truman, Harry S. ) Then he said, If Greece
should fall under the control of an armed minority, the effect upon its neighbor, Turkey, would be
immediate and serious. Confusion and disorder might well spread throughout the entire Middle East. (
Truman, Harry S. ) What Truman meant, was the Domino Theory . If Greece fell to Communism,
Turkey would as well, and it would spread across the Middle East. By the end of WWII, Soviets
pressured Turkey into allowing Russian shipping to go through the Turkish Straits. Turkish
government turned down their request, and Soviets exerted naval force. The US took Turkey under
their wing and supplied the country with any possible aid including military and economic. This might
seem like US was showing signs of authority and this exchange between USSR and US was obvious.
Americans came there to save Greece and Turkey from Soviets. A war was slowly developing. But
Europe s economic struggles didn t go unnoticed by the US and George Marshall decided to take

Ebsco Describes Itself As ‘The Leading Discovery Service
EBSCO describes itself as the leading discovery service provider for libraries worldwide with more
than 8,000 discovery customers in over 100 countries. EBSCO Discovery Service™ provides each
institution with a comprehensive, single search box for its entire collection, offering unparalleled
relevance ranking quality and extensive customization. (EBSCO, 2015) This all sounds very
impressive but how does it stand up in comparison to other databases and just how easy is it use? This
review will set out to show the advantages and disadvantages of using EBSCO Host and what it has to
offer.

A quick keyword search using the term business brought up 8,952,111 results as you can see in the
accompanying screenshot. The impressive date range stretches from the year 1644 to 2016. This is of
course too much information to sort through but on the left hand side of the page, EBSCO offers a
range of refining features to narrow your search term. However not all of the refining features work as
they should. For example, the geography filter is not the most accurate, there is uncertainty if
geography is categorised by topic, publisher or author. Furthermore when a geographical location is
selected, the results are inaccurate, although this is mainly because the databases which EBSCO
searches through do not always accurately define the article s location. (EBSCO Host, 2016)
One of the advantages of this platform is its thesaurus and predictive search terms which allow you to
search at ease. Other databases for example Passport are only capable of searching an exact phrase in
an exact term. EBSCO Host manages to predict your search, or similar searches which helps those
who may lack confidence. EBSCO states that its neutral relevance ranking strategy uses numerous
criteria, including term frequency, field weighting, exact title matching and content attribute boosting,
to provide users with the most relevant results for each query (Kelley, 2013). I feel that this is
something that EBSCO Host does successfully. Each search I

What Problem of Motivation Did Archie Norman Discover at...
1.What problem of motivation did Archie Norman discover at ASDA?
ASDA was one of the most successful retail businesses in the United Kingdom. It had a competitive
advantage due to its unique superstore structure and its low price leadership in the market. Everything
changed all of a sudden as ASDA found itself with demoralized employees, slow growth in sales, and
declining profits in 1991 due to many years of lack of interest from previous managers. It had been a 1
billion pounds cash surplus supermarket chain in 1987, and by 1991 it had a debt of over 1 billion
pounds. This was the situation that Archie Norman encountered at ASDA when appointed Chief
Executive Officer (CEO).

Some of the top priorities and the changes I would have done included the following actions and
issues: 1. Communicate the importance of the urgent need for cash. 2. Re build ASDA stores around
its original core values, emphasizing its competitive advantage in lower prices and targeting the low

goals and values like listening, learning, and speed of response, from the store upwards to the

My Culture Is An Important Aspect Of Life
Culture is an important aspect of life. It influences each individual s life, allowing them to become the
person they are. Each person contributes a small part of their culture into society, creating a broader
culture. Because I live in an urban environment where many cultures have come together, I am aware
of how it influences me daily. When I was younger culture was not something I thought about,
however, as I got older I realized that it is an important part of my life.
My culture is a mixture of both American and Sri Lankan. I notice values and practices from each
culture that I apply to my life every day. I have taken both the individualistic and communalistic
attributes from both cultures and modified them to fit me. My American influence is often displayed
when I refuse to be complacent with the sexist behaviors of the Sri Lankan culture. When these verbal
or nonverbal actions are done in front of me, I speak up for myself. Defending myself from sexist
family members and voicing my opinion is part of my American culture. If I had lived in Sri Lanka I
would not be able to do so, easily.
Growing up in America, I am able to avoid the restrictive roles imposed on women in Sri Lanka.
Although I feel proud of this aspect there are still sections of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In addition to adopting the cultural norms of America, specifically Los Angeles, I retained the cultural
norms passed to me from my parents. Although I often benefit from these two cultures, there are
instances when they conflict each other. For example, when communicating with an individual from
the Sri Lankan community I am more polite and use a more gentle tone of voice. This is often
interpreted as shy or soft spoken by an individual with an American background. Because I am often
told to speak louder, I realized that the Sri Lankan method of communication surpassed the American

The Power Of The Grotesque
The Power of the Grotesque in Literature It is often said that beauty is within the eye of its beholder. A
statement this broad, begs the question, what is the true definition of beauty? Writers such as
Sherwood Anderson and Thomas Mann depict the beauty of life through the usage of the grotesque.
The grotesque is used to reveal the absolute truth and reality of humanity. However, no matter how
terrifying these truths may be, it is evident that the messages depicted and the passion evoked through
them are truly beautiful. Winesburg, Ohio is a collection of short stories by Sherwood Anderson. The
episodic stories have a wide range of character types and messages and yet, they all share the common
theme of the grotesque. Similarly, Death in Venice the novella by Thomas Mann follows a burdened
artist, Gustave Aschenbach who struggles with repressed desires that are slowly liberated throughout
the story. Both Anderson and Mann use the grotesque to explain the true nature of society, their
characters, and to evoke emotion from their readers especially through the theme of obsession.
In order to truly understand the grotesque and its usage, readers must first know its complex history,
meaning, and usage. Due to its wide range of usage, the definition of grotesque changed numerous
times throughout history. In literary uses, it can be defined as an expression of the estranged or
alienated world...an attempt to control and exorcise the demonic elements in the world (Thomson).

Have you ever heard about the Titanic? Well, chances are that if you have, you probably heard of the
altercation about who is responsible for the sinking of the titanic. The Titanic was one of the greasiest
disasters ever. There were numerous safety rules have been made because of the Titanic. I think
Captain Smith is responsible for the sinking of the Titanic because he didn t take proper safety
precautions, ignored multiple iceberg warnings, and left the wheel knowing that there were icebergs
ahead. Some people might argue that J. Bruce Ismay is responsible for the sinking of the Titanic
because he put too much of a burden on Captain Smith to get to New York faster, but if Captain Smith

Meaning Things Are Big Meaning
The Most Meaningful Word The most meaningful word in the story, ¨Little Things are Big¨, is failed.
The story, ¨Little Things are Big¨ is about a man recalling a time when he felt like he was impolite and
uncivil. This man has lots of respect for his culture and as a Puerto Rican believes in courtesy. When
he does not fulfill his imaginary duty he feels like he has failed. The word, failed, is the most
meaningful word in, ¨Little Things are Big¨ because it sets the tone. Tone means feelings or an attitude
expressed. So the word has a lot of feeling and meaning it behind it. The word helps the readers
understand how awful the character feels. At the end of the story when it says, If you were not that
prejudiced, I failed you, dear lady.

The Harms Of Plagiarism In Finding Forrester
In the movie Finding Forrester , it s main focus was to imply the word Plagiarism into the acts of the
main character Jamal Wallace. This plays a role later into the movie in which he is assumed to have
plagiarized the work of William Forrester a famous writer. Although the movie promotes the harms of
plagiarism it also tells a good story about a friendship amongst two strangers. Throughout the movie
Jamal Wallace developes a friendship with William Forrester that starts to become more than just
writing sessions in an apartment. They begin to find a friendship within themselves due to their same
abilities as writer, and begin to trust one another in keeping secrets solely just inside Forrester s
apartment. Both characters really show the true meaning of what a friendship should be between two
people no matter if they have the same interest or are different from one another. Jamal is a kid from
the Bronx who is shown to be an African American student that seems to be an average student that
receives C s in his classes. From the town he is from many people believe that during this time a guy
who is African American was not educated and would not go far in anything they do but to be in jail.
For Jamal at the age of 16 he didn t believe that he had a plan of what he wanted in life so he lived as
if he was a regular kid going to school. Jamal lived up to the belief at that time that African Americans
were not intelligent enough and lacked ambition to make something of themselves. He pretends to be
much less than he truly is capable of being and doesn t feel like he needs to express how well of a
writer he can be. Although he portrays this character of being an average student at his school his test
results shows that anyone can be smart and can be there true self once they truly find what they want
in there future. After Jamal gets to know William Forrester, and begins to learn the true meaning
behind writing and he begins to find his true self through his writing and who he is as a person. He
begins to love the passion writing has to offer after being taught the true meaning of why William
Forrester wrote books. But through his passion for writing also came the setback of plagiarizing some

together. They each have roots in Christianity and Catholicism, but are considered public holidays. La

woman carrying a broomstick marks La Befana. She originates from a legend about the three wise

Good Friday, is the day that commemorates Jesus crucifixion, Saturday is spent in mourning with no
festivities or fancy food allowed, and Sunday is the day for the celebration of the resurrection. Bells
resound throughout Italy on Easter Sunday to mark the event. Easter Monday (Angel s Monday, or
Pasquetta, Little Easter) is also an official holiday, (Life In Italy). Many cities have parades in which
statues of Jesus or Mary carried thru the streets. Knowing the meaning of and dates for the country s
holidays and how to properly host or partake in the festivals will only strengthen the bonds that the
military might have with the host nation.
Customs and courtesies are a big part of the Italian way of life, as is religion. When introduced you
should say good day, followed by a shake of the hands (no more than one) if any, a simple grasp will
suffice. This is for both greetings and partings. It is wise to address others by introducing yourself first
and apologizing if you do not already know the person. Another courtesy that is recommended is
during siestas, or naps, you should not bother people from 1400 1600, which is when they return to
work. It is customary if you are to meet with some one that you are five or ten minutes early, however
they allow being a bit late for it is their time you are asking for. It is of great importance for the
military to understand these customs and courtesies in order to not offend anyone.

The As A Self Regulating Social System
This paper will be a literature review that discusses the notion that, the board of directors (the
collective) as a self regulating social system. This will be achieved by a systematic review of a
collection of works into the area of corporate governance spanning the birth of the industrial
revolution to the modern day. The areas of emphasis will be a view to identifying the key concepts,
issues and laws created to better focus the actions of boards. In addition to identifying the locations for
each of these developments and how this has led to divergent practices across the globe. Following the
review of the literature the author of this paper will seek to discern the current direction and nature of

This separation of the owners and managers of the business is the central reason for the existence of
what is now referred to as corporate governance. As discussed by Smith (Smith, 1776),Berle (Berle,
1932) and Tricker (Tricker, 2012), this created two differing schools of though. The first is referred to
as agency theory, which proposes that those placed in charge of a firm will act in their best interests
and not those of the shareholders. This argument is countered by stewardship theory which takes the
view that those charged with being directors will seek to act in the best interests of the shareholders.
Clearly both of these cannot exist at the same time, it would fall to each individual director as to
which side of these two arguments or any possible point between the two extremes they would
gravitate towards. As there is clearly very differing possibilities that can occur based on the
personalities of those elected to boards, various forms of legislation have been introduced in most
countries with a view to providing guidance and in some cases mandating compliance to limit the
impacts of poor governance. Taking a geographical perspective to the evolution of corporate
governance and by extension, idea of the board of directors as a self regulating social system. There
has been three differing perspectives, the two tiered board, legislated compliance and the voluntary or
if not why not compliance. The reasons for this are

Under the hub process, Fritz co ordinated both the material flow and information flow and acted as

the hub. It arranged transportation using many carriers over various shipment legs. It invested heavily
to upgrade its Information system in support of the supplier hub project including innovation of

have made any of these changes without implementing a supplier hub? What alternative solutions
could have been implemented?
Apple could have thought of having these changes done without a supplier base also as this hub
system although useful for Apple and Fritz, was a bit riskier for suppliers as cases of extended
warehousing, damage at hub and delay in shipments etc.. were considered As mentioned in the case
Apple had difficult in convincing the suppliers for the hub Agreement and even had to customize these

The Lion And The Lion
Long ago, in a forest located near the edge of India, there lived a Lion and all of the animals that lived
in his kingdom. He was a mighty, courageous king who would do anything to protect all of the
animals. His huge mane swayed in the breeze as he stood outside of his castle. He knew that the
animals cared for each other in times of need no matter how big or how small. But, in his kingdom
there also lived a Serpent, who was the most slimiest, ugliest creature he had ever set his eyes upon.
Everyone in the village feared him and ran into their homes as soon as they saw him. It was the smell

Difference Between The Spatiality Of Position And Situation
The Difference Between the Spatiality of Position and Situation In the third chapter of Part 1 of
Phemomenology of Perception Meurlo Ponty discusses the orientation of the body and how we
perceive of it within the world. To do this he introduces two key concepts; spatiality of position and
spatiality of situation. Both these concepts apply to our experiences being a body within the world but
have very distinct features regarding our perceptions of our bodies and how we conceive of and
interact with the world. This paper will look at the distinction between the two concepts using Meurlo
Ponty s Schnieder and attempting to determine the significance of defining these two concepts in such
a way. To begin, Meurlo Ponty starts by discussing how the parts of our body relate to each other in a
very particular way. We do not conceive of ourselves as a collection of closely spatially related organs
but rather as a whole contributing to our body schema (PhP 100). Our body schema is a gradually
developing psychological construct that helps us develop a summary of our experiences as a body
including out movement as a whole and unifies us a being (PhP 100). The body schema that we
develop plays into the spatiality of position and the spatiality of situation and how the body appears to
us. Spatiality of position refers to the body within space, in this case the body is perceived of as part of
the external objective world. Meurlo Ponty says that this concept is consistent with idea of

The Impacts Of Cultural Tourism In Cuba, Cuban, Cuba
Mindless, repetitive locals performing once sacred and revered ceremonies now on a daily basis is
nothing tourists think about when they vacation to culturally preserved areas, yet this unintended
cultural destruction is unfortunately the blatant truth. Due to recent travel restrictions lifted by
President Barack Obama, Cuba is now open to American citizens to vacation. Whether for the better
or worse, new tourism within a previously undisturbed area such as Havana, Cuba, is liable to have
significant effects on the social, economical, and environmental aspects of their culture.
Past relations between the United States and Cuban government have been less than favorable. After
the Cuban revolution, the island established a communist government, therefore angering the United
States as they were fighting foreign wars in an attempt to end communism. In 1961, the United States
severed relations with the island, and since then have restricted travel to and from Cuba. Recently, in
2015, President Barack Obama repealed the travel ban with Cuba, loosening up trade and tourism

Immature Parents: Role Reversal
Continued (page 2 of 2)
It s hard to say why adults don t always act like grown ups. Sometimes good parents simply make
mistakes, Ward says. For these moms and dads, a conversation or a carefully worded letter might be
enough to do the trick. But others never got the parenting they needed and, Brown explains, failed to
make strides past adolescence toward a healthy, mature level of empathy. For them, she adds,
everything centers around what they want, and selfish conduct is an inherent part of their pattern of
behaviors and attitudes. In these cases, no amount of talking will change them, so instead of trying to
improve communication, Brown suggests self protection. If your parent is hurting you with his or her
behavior and won t change, you have no choice but to set up emotional barriers to protect yourself.
Ward also advises seeking support from a responsible adult, like a counselor, teacher, minister, or a
friend s parent. That s what Sarah did. I started attending a teen Bible study, and Kelly, the lady who
led it, became like a mother to me, she says. My mom was jealous, but I think Kelly saved my life.
Teens who are forced to act like adults often have a hard time reaching out for help because they are
so adult, Ward says. But they need someone who can remind them that it s OK to

Goku From Dragon Ball Z
The superhero that I would most likely choose to use his power for a day is Goku from Dragon Ball Z,
and I would save anyone from harm s way and be the protector of Mother Earth for a day. He has an
amazing strong will and an unwillingness to never give up, while protecting his loved ones and friends
from danger. It actually surprised me when I first found out about this character; I found myself
instantly loving and respecting him and his morals and characterized him as someone I strive to be in
this cold but beneficial world we all live in. Another reason, is the way he begins the day to do his
utmost best to be mentally and physically strong and become a force to be reckoned with. He also
keeps himself sane by never forgetting the ones who

The Influence Of Donald Trump s Mental Health
On November 4, 2008 history was made, the United States of America elected their first black
president. We as a nation had taken our first step towards improvement and had gain a new fond hope.
The years following this historical election, included moving forward and believing that America was
finally a country that accepted minorities and have left its racist/ homophobic history behind.
However, the 2016 presidential elections proved this to be all wrong. We have gone from being a
country who just elected their first black president, to a nation who has elected a misogynistic, racist,
sexist, homophobe.
This past election has shaken the nation as a whole, it has caused the the feelings of hate we all
thought were buried with our ancestors to resurface and become acceptable once again. Donald Trump
becoming our next presidential elect, has impacted us all, and there is no doubt that this election has
by far been the most influential on our nation s mental health. ... Show more content on

The answer is simple and has already been answered, Donald Trump winning the election has caused
something called the Trump effect. According to Politico Magazine, American therapist are worried
about Trump s effect on our mental heath as it has caused a spike in bullying and distress that both
teachers and psychiatrist are noticing amongst students and patients (Sheehy, 2016).
It would be wrong to ignore the psychological, social and political damage the 2016 election has
caused, when the movement called Citizen Therapist Against Trumpism, an effort to awaken therapists
to their public responsibilities has commissioned a study of 1,000 voting age Americans, and found
that 43 percent of the individuals studied reported emotional distress from Trump and his campaign

The Blended Economy Of United Kingdom
Abstract This research paper is about the blended economy of United Kingdom. It has been begun
with a presentation about the nation and further its economy has been examined. It is no doubt
understood that United Kingdom s economy has been experienced such a sensational changes inside
of most recent couple of years. How its economy has got effected in which years and how these
progressions has been occurred, is talked about in this report and the significant three thoughts of three
unique financial analysts has been examined. Introduction: UK : One of the biggest and most
prosperous economies on the planet 6th biggest on the planet in 2012, with a GDP per capita that puts
it 3rd among the world s ten biggest economies. The British economy additionally has a rich and
differing sectoral blend. The main part of the economy is administration based: from the expansive
and world beating budgetary protection industry 8% of GVA, through expert, specialized and bolster
benefits a further 12% to the littler yet universally famous social sector 2% offer. Furthermore, in
opposition to mainstream thinking, the UK still makes, shapes and constructs things as well: its
assembling part is the 9th biggest on the planet; development is the other huge non benefits area, with
a 6% offer; while the oil gas segment stays critical in key terms, in spite of the fact that its share of
GVA has declined to 2%. The UK s mechanical qualities likewise touch all sides of the nation. For

Great Society Dbq
President Lyndon B. Johnson s Great Society was a set of social, political, and domestic programs put
in place between 1964 and 1965, in response to the country s quickly fading post war prosperity. It
strived to reduce social inequalities (especially racial discrimination) and boost the formerly thriving
economy. The Great Society encompassed virtually all social policy sections, like civil rights, poverty
and housing, education, health, welfare, arts and culture, transportation, environment, rural
development, and labor. With such an ambitiously large program to follow, Johnson s Great Society
was bound to have a few flaws, and its success wasn t guaranteed. It did, however, lead to several
major social changes that revolutionized the United ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Virtually every aspect of the Great Society was more or less linked to this war , like, for example,
education: more specifically, the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. This act promoted
education for all by allowing federally funded grants and special education programs to schools with a
high concentration of low income children. Two of the paramount aspects of the Great Society are
education and culture, to which the Higher Education Facilities Act of December 1963 contributed.
Though it was technically signed before the official start of the Great Society, it was one of Johnson s
very first steps towards his goal and it created scholarships and low interest loans for students while
funding schools so that they could provide better educational facilities, such as libraries and
classrooms. The Higher Education Act of 1965 was more or less an extension of the latter act, as its
goal was to strengthen the educational resources of American colleges and universities, as well as
providing federal funding for post secondary students. Moreover, according to Americans for
Democratic Action, the educational program was extended by improving the National Defense
Education Act in order to include history and geography, English, and civics, which allowed for a
broader range of subjects. Finally, the National Foundation on the Arts and Humanities Act of 1965

Henry Allison s Two Aspect View
Henry Allison s two aspect view differs profoundly from the two world view by introducing epistemic
conditions. For Allison, the difference between appearances and things in themselves is epistemic
rather than ontological. Rather than reflecting two separate realms, phenomena and noumena reflect
the structure of the mind.21 The notable distinction here is that rather than the identification of the
appearance with the representation, the appearance is associated with the thing in itself.22 Allison
argues that Kant s conditions of human knowledge should be taken as epistemic conditions rather than
logical conditions.23 Allison defines an epistemic condition as a simply a condition that is necessary
for an object or objective state of affairs.24 These epistemic then turn out to be space, time and the
categories; it can be known a priori that every object is structured in terms of these conditions.25 By
introducing epistemic conditions, Allison is capable of separating the two aspect view from the two
world view. These epistemic conditions must be distinguished from metaphysical, ontological and
psychological conditions.26 The psychological conditions are defined as a disposition of the mind
which governs belief acquisition.27 The prime example of this would be Hume s customs or habit as
features of the mind.28 Epistemic conditions differ from them by reflecting the structure mind but
differ in that they are objectivating; psychological conditions reflect how the mind

The Scientific Methods And Differences Between Specific...
A scientific method is a method of investigation where a problem is first identified and observations,
experiments or other relevant data/findings are then used to construct or test hypotheses that serve to
solve it (https://www.collinsdictionary.com). Originally the scientific method was actually called the
experimental method and the method of science. When the word scientific was come up with in the
19th century, the most widespread term applied to the method became known as the scientific method
(scientificmethod.com). One difference between specific science and pseudoscience is how they start.
Specific science involves careful observation and experimentation to establish or deny a hypothesis.
Evidence against a theory and law are searched for and studies closely on the other hand
pseudoscience starts with a hypothesis and looks only for evidence to support it, there is little or no
experimentation. Evidence against the hypothesis is hidden, excused or ignored. The original
hypothesis is never abandoned (http://physics.weber.edu).
An exampleof pseudoscience is ufology. This is the study of records, reports, physical evidence and
other circumstances relating the UFO s. An example of specific science is evolution. This is the idea
that living organisms developed from earlier versions of themselves over a long period of time
throughout the history of the earth (https://en.wikipedia.org).

The Importance Of Emerging Adulthood
Emerging Adulthood is a phase of a human s lifetime between adolescence and full fledged adulthood.
The age range for this group is approximately 18 25 years old. Emerging adults are not fully ready to
take on adult responsibilities, but are expected to step up from childhood. This allows for new
experiences, enrolling into college, understanding one s own sexual identity, and to seek out what
future they want for themself. Most emerging adults will move out from their parents home to get
their own apartment, dorm, or house and will usually have roommates to help pay for their rent.
Jeffery Arnett suggests, that emerging adulthood is a distinct period demographically, subjectively, and
in terms of identity explorations (Arnett, 2000, pg. 469). This allows the individual to get
independence and self reliability within themselves to get an idea of what it will be like to be living as
an adult in the later years to come. After living on their own, many young adults will move back in
with their parents after college or if they were not successful living on their own.
According to Arnett, during Emerging Adulthood, young people are in the process of developing the
capacities, skills, and qualities of character deemed by their cultures as necessary for completing the
transition to adulthood (Arnett, 1998, p. 312). The majority of Americans see big life events as
reaching and achieving adulthood. It is portrayed that those who have succeeded these events are more

Hodgkin s Lymphoma Research Paper
Tara Wallace
BIOL 2402
Claire Prouty
August 11th, 2015 Hodgkin s Lymphoma Thomas Hodgkin began discovering a disease called
Hodgkin s Lymphoma in 1832. (Hildago, 1994.) This cancerous disease begins in the lymphocytes or
white blood cells and can spread throughout the immune system. This type of lymphoma is identified
by a specific cancerous cell called a Reed Sternberg cell. When this cell is found other types of
lymphomas or cancers can be ruled out. Dr. Reed and Dr. Sternberg discovered the microscopic
difference of the Hodgkin s disease cells, which is how the cell received its name. ( What is Hodgkin
Disease? 2015.) Statistics show that out of all the diagnosed lymphoma cases in the United States,
there are typically more male than female cases. The estimated rate for lymphoma cases in the U.S. for
2015 is about 9,050 according to the research of the American Cancer Society. Out of those cases, an
estimated 3,950 will be female and 5,100 male. Hodgkin s Lymphoma can occur in patients of all
ages. Although it is rare, lymphoma can be diagnosed in children as well. The typical age range of
being diagnosed with HL is between 15 and 40. Most cases tend to come about when the patient is in
their early 20 s. ( What are the Key ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

such as someone who has HIV/AIDS, or taking organ rejection medication may be at higher risk of
developing Hodgkin s Lymphoma. Family history may also play a role as a cause for Hodgkin s, if an
immediate member of the patient s family has had the disease. Research has also shown the increased
risk of HL for smokers. ( Risks and Causes,

Clean Water In Cambodia Essay
783 million people in the world are without access to clean sustainable water. The impact of the lack
of clean water can be seen in countries such as Cambodia, Ethiopia, and India. The trash in villages of
Cambodia seeps into the standing water and releases toxins in the ground which enters into the water.
The lack of clean water has Cambodian children exposed to diseases. While in Ethiopia, an
examination shows that fifty one percent of the populations drinking water in the rural area is
unimproved. To better understand more about access to clean water, it s necessary to take a look at
India. Twenty one percent of India s diseases are water related and when a water system is installed, it
adds to the overall development of water. Access to clean, sustainable water is needed for survival; in
countries such as Cambodia, Ethiopia, and India, this is difficult.
Cambodia, a country in southeast Asia, is situated on a peninsula on the Gulf of Thailand. It gets most
of its water during the rainy season from the monsoons. An examination from the CIA studies of
Cambodia reveals that its climate is very tropical with a rainy, monsoon season. This suggests that
much of Cambodia s water is from its heavy monsoons. This is vital because this is where most of the
water comes from in Cambodia and needs to be kept clean.
In Cambodia, the water is very unsanitary due to the lack of infrastructure and its sanitation. An
examination of the lack of infrastructure from National Encyclopedia

Australian Bungalow In The 1920 s
As Australian architects were often inspired by international designs many houses were decorative
thus there was the emergence of the Californian Bungalow within the 1920s. This housing structure
began during the early nineteen twenties which became a leading fashion (Boyd, 1962, p.70). Due to
the fact that Australian designs were not as independent as it is today the Californian Bungalow was
mainly influenced from the American Californian Bungalows. The bungalows in Australia was an
approved style for a suburban house as a result of its simplistic building methods such as staining
timbers, creating a pale plaster surface and applying decorative textures on plywood (Cuffley, 2007).
Hence, the bungalows was a start of a new way of living for

  • 2. Iago Greed Quotes It is common to be taught to always use whatever resources are available to reach a goal. Whatever is provided is fair to use to attain a vision. However, there is a fine line between being resourceful and being manipulative. Both come from greed. This conception applies to a self centered character, Iago, in Othello. In Shakespeare s Othello, Iago is not an envious character, but he is just a clever man, who is able to decipher and magnify other characters flaws, to benefit him. To fulfill his selfish desires, he uses the most destructive weapon in the play; trust. Iago manages to manipulate Roderigo s incompetence to think for himself, Othello s insecurities and Cassio s chivalrous nature to achieve is greatest intent. Firstly, Roderigo s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When Iago found out Cassio became Othello s lieutenant, he can be comprehended as jealous. He talks about Cassio s lack of knowledge and experience with fighting (I.i.20 27). Although, Iago may seem jealous of Cassio, he is only furious with Othello. Later, when Cassio welcomes Emilia by kissing her hand, he is being polite. He also speaks very highly of Desdemona by saying, One that excels the quirks of blazoning pens, (II.i.69). Even though he genuinely respects her, he can be perceived as provocative. Moving on, Iago tries to get Cassio drunk. Since Cassio is very kind, he eventually gives in and takes some alcohol, which leads to him getting into a brawl with Montano and Roderigo, staged by Iago. Othello becomes aware of the irrational fight and strips Cassio of his lieutenancy, for his foolish behaviour. (II.iii.264 265) Cassio takes Iago s advice of seeking Desdemona s help to earn his job and trust with Othello, back. He too refers to Iago as honest Iago, (II.iii.355) Cassio places his trust with Iago, while Iago uses this to misrepresent Cassio and Desdemona s interactions to Othello. Eventually, Othello gives Cassio s lieutenant position to Iago, but Iago continues to cause more chaos. Hence, Iago was not really jealous of Cassio taking his lieutenant position, ... • 3. The Theory Of Cognitive Therapy Abstract The theory of Cognitive Therapy was Beck s initial therapy approach to depression. This paper will provide an overview of Cognitive Therapy and treatment modalities for depression, as well as the writer s personal view on counseling and cognitive therapy. Additionally, the paper will examine depression as a presenting problem and the use (application) of Cognitive Therapy theory to treating a person with depression. Cognitive Therapy Theory as Applied to Depression Review of Cognitive Therapy Theory Cognitive Therapy (CT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are used interchangeable. Cognitive therapy is a series of short term treatments that teaches specific skills. Aaron T. Beck is known as the founder of CT for depression in the 1960s and 70s, and he and some colleagues developed a full manual that described the treatment (DeRubeis, Siegle, Hollon, 2008, p. 789). Further, the authors indicates that in CT the role of the therapist is to teach the individual how to acquire the basic skills to recognize negative thoughts and images that causes the emotional experience and how to block out those thoughts and images that are believed to be the contributing factor (p. 789). Jarrett, Vittengl, Clark, and Thase (2011) implies that the purpose of CT is to teach a person to identify and modify relations between thoughts, feelings, and behavior so that it will help alleviate emotional distress. Hofmann, Asmundson and Beck (2013) indicates that CT ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. I Chose The Top Left Picture Of The Vanity Fair In this 21st century where representation and visibility of all groups is valued, it is not surprising to see photos or videos in the media promoting or even advertising unique lifestyle that just a few decades ago would unearthed a feeling of disgust or repulsion. While on one hand some uses media in a positive way, introducing us to new fresher ideas which would ve been unthinkable before. Suchlike families aside from the traditional nuclear family (e.g. single parent household, lesbian and gay couples, or eccentric families in general), people of colour taking bolder or positions of leadership, or even simple individuals breaking the barrier of norms. On the other hand, there are those who simply see the media as a lucrative business aimed to spread consumer commodification and vain lifestyle. As I want to focus on the latter, I chose the top left picture of the Vanity Fair (VF) March 2014 issue. This month s issue s cover is Jen Selter, fitness model and supposedly an inspiration for many young girls to go to the gym. I can be put in the basket of haters but frankly, I ve never heard of her and seeing just the magazine with her on the cover, in that position wearing that dress doesn t appeal to me. She s wearing a black dress that covers parts that should be, but is showing enough skin to entice curiosity paired with black stilettos. • 5. The Superpowers And Causes Of The Cold War Introduction The Cold War was an era where two superpowers fought for dominance. For many years, the US and USSR have been the leading powers in the whole world. However, the United States was trying to gain followers of their democratic ideal, whereas the USSR promoted communism. Through some attempts of reaching a common ground, both superpowers caused a split between the East and the West until 1991. The main reasons lie in the events of years 1945 1947. Yalta Conference First of all, the Cold War s origins go back to the events of 1945 when two important conferences have occurred: Yalta and Potsdam. A mutual lack of trust has been present between countries US and USSR for years. However, these two countries (along with Britain) came together ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It especially had a low chance of economic recovery, as militant minority led by Communists threatened it. The army was tiny and unequipped, thus was unable to protect its country from foreigners who foisted their totalitarian regime on them. Truman believed that only the US could help Greece in their long term recovery. He said, The United States must supply this assistance...there is no other country to which democratic Greece can turn. ( Truman, Harry S. ) Then he said, If Greece should fall under the control of an armed minority, the effect upon its neighbor, Turkey, would be immediate and serious. Confusion and disorder might well spread throughout the entire Middle East. ( Truman, Harry S. ) What Truman meant, was the Domino Theory . If Greece fell to Communism, Turkey would as well, and it would spread across the Middle East. By the end of WWII, Soviets pressured Turkey into allowing Russian shipping to go through the Turkish Straits. Turkish government turned down their request, and Soviets exerted naval force. The US took Turkey under their wing and supplied the country with any possible aid including military and economic. This might seem like US was showing signs of authority and this exchange between USSR and US was obvious. Americans came there to save Greece and Turkey from Soviets. A war was slowly developing. However not all of the refining features work as they should. For example, the geography filter is not the most accurate, there is uncertainty if geography is categorised by topic, publisher or author. Furthermore when a geographical location is selected, the results are inaccurate, although this is mainly because the databases which EBSCO searches through do not always accurately define the article s location. (EBSCO Host, 2016) One of the advantages of this platform is its thesaurus and predictive search terms which allow you to search at ease. Other databases for example Passport are only capable of searching an exact phrase in an exact term. EBSCO Host manages to predict your search, or similar searches which helps those who may lack confidence. EBSCO states that its neutral relevance ranking strategy uses numerous criteria, including term frequency, field weighting, exact title matching and content attribute boosting, to provide users with the most relevant results for each query (Kelley, 2013). ASDA was one of the most successful retail businesses in the United Kingdom. It had a competitive advantage due to its unique superstore structure and its low price leadership in the market. Everything changed all of a sudden as ASDA found itself with demoralized employees, slow growth in sales, and declining profits in 1991 due to many years of lack of interest from previous managers. It had been a 1 billion pounds cash surplus supermarket chain in 1987, and by 1991 it had a debt of over 1 billion pounds. Each person contributes a small part of their culture into society, creating a broader culture. Because I live in an urban environment where many cultures have come together, I am aware of how it influences me daily. When I was younger culture was not something I thought about, however, as I got older I realized that it is an important part of my life. My culture is a mixture of both American and Sri Lankan. I notice values and practices from each culture that I apply to my life every day. I have taken both the individualistic and communalistic attributes from both cultures and modified them to fit me. My American influence is often displayed when I refuse to be complacent with the sexist behaviors of the Sri Lankan culture. When these verbal or nonverbal actions are done in front of me, I speak up for myself. Defending myself from sexist family members and voicing my opinion is part of my American culture. • 9. The Power Of The Grotesque The Power of the Grotesque in Literature It is often said that beauty is within the eye of its beholder. A statement this broad, begs the question, what is the true definition of beauty? Writers such as Sherwood Anderson and Thomas Mann depict the beauty of life through the usage of the grotesque. The grotesque is used to reveal the absolute truth and reality of humanity. However, no matter how terrifying these truths may be, it is evident that the messages depicted and the passion evoked through them are truly beautiful. Winesburg, Ohio is a collection of short stories by Sherwood Anderson. The episodic stories have a wide range of character types and messages and yet, they all share the common theme of the grotesque. Similarly, Death in Venice the novella by Thomas Mann follows a burdened artist, Gustave Aschenbach who struggles with repressed desires that are slowly liberated throughout the story. Both Anderson and Mann use the grotesque to explain the true nature of society, their characters, and to evoke emotion from their readers especially through the theme of obsession. In order to truly understand the grotesque and its usage, readers must first know its complex history, meaning, and usage. Due to its wide range of usage, the definition of grotesque changed numerous times throughout history. In literary uses, it can be defined as an expression of the estranged or alienated world...an attempt to control and exorcise the demonic elements in the world (Thomson). ... This plays a role later into the movie in which he is assumed to have plagiarized the work of William Forrester a famous writer. Although the movie promotes the harms of plagiarism it also tells a good story about a friendship amongst two strangers. Throughout the movie Jamal Wallace developes a friendship with William Forrester that starts to become more than just writing sessions in an apartment. They begin to find a friendship within themselves due to their same abilities as writer, and begin to trust one another in keeping secrets solely just inside Forrester s apartment. Both characters really show the true meaning of what a friendship should be between two people no matter if they have the same interest or are different from one another. Jamal is a kid from the Bronx who is shown to be an African American student that seems to be an average student that receives C s in his classes. Jamal lived up to the belief at that time that African Americans were not intelligent enough and lacked ambition to make something of themselves. As discussed by Smith (Smith, 1776),Berle (Berle, 1932) and Tricker (Tricker, 2012), this created two differing schools of though. The first is referred to as agency theory, which proposes that those placed in charge of a firm will act in their best interests and not those of the shareholders. This argument is countered by stewardship theory which takes the view that those charged with being directors will seek to act in the best interests of the shareholders. Clearly both of these cannot exist at the same time, it would fall to each individual director as to which side of these two arguments or any possible point between the two extremes they would gravitate towards. As there is clearly very differing possibilities that can occur based on the personalities of those elected to boards, various forms of legislation have been introduced in most countries with a view to providing guidance and in some cases mandating compliance to limit the impacts of poor governance. Even though they were snakes, they never felt greater than the other. He thought that they looked ridiculous, his fangs were clearly better. Right there, the Serpent came up with a genius plan, to become the King. It s just perfect, he hissed loudly with a smirk on his face. The Lion would never think I would do this! This last thought gave him a boost of energy as he hurried home. He was also awarded with a confused look from the snakes, who slithered away from him suspiciously. • 20. Difference Between The Spatiality Of Position And Situation The Difference Between the Spatiality of Position and Situation In the third chapter of Part 1 of Phemomenology of Perception Meurlo Ponty discusses the orientation of the body and how we perceive of it within the world. To do this he introduces two key concepts; spatiality of position and spatiality of situation. Both these concepts apply to our experiences being a body within the world but have very distinct features regarding our perceptions of our bodies and how we conceive of and interact with the world. This paper will look at the distinction between the two concepts using Meurlo Ponty s Schnieder and attempting to determine the significance of defining these two concepts in such a way. To begin, Meurlo Ponty starts by discussing how the parts of our body relate to each other in a very particular way. We do not conceive of ourselves as a collection of closely spatially related organs but rather as a whole contributing to our body schema (PhP 100). Our body schema is a gradually developing psychological construct that helps us develop a summary of our experiences as a body including out movement as a whole and unifies us a being (PhP 100). The body schema that we develop plays into the spatiality of position and the spatiality of situation and how the body appears to us. Spatiality of position refers to the body within space, in this case the body is perceived of as part of the external objective world. Meurlo Ponty says that this concept is consistent with idea of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Impacts Of Cultural Tourism In Cuba, Cuban, Cuba Mindless, repetitive locals performing once sacred and revered ceremonies now on a daily basis is nothing tourists think about when they vacation to culturally preserved areas, yet this unintended cultural destruction is unfortunately the blatant truth. Due to recent travel restrictions lifted by President Barack Obama, Cuba is now open to American citizens to vacation. Whether for the better or worse, new tourism within a previously undisturbed area such as Havana, Cuba, is liable to have significant effects on the social, economical, and environmental aspects of their culture. Past relations between the United States and Cuban government have been less than favorable. After the Cuban revolution, the island established a communist government, therefore angering the United States as they were fighting foreign wars in an attempt to end communism. In 1961, the United States severed relations with the island, and since then have restricted travel to and from Cuba. Recently, in 2015, President Barack Obama repealed the travel ban with Cuba, loosening up trade and tourism between the two countries, but not ending their communist ways. This newly accessible country now acts as a beacon to world travelers wanting to learn the ways of Cuban lifestyle. Cuban culture revolves around everything from the people s lifestyle, to the economy, to the natural ecosystem enveloping the island. This is called cultural tourism. For these moms and dads, a conversation or a carefully worded letter might be enough to do the trick. The Great Society encompassed virtually all social policy sections, like civil rights, poverty and housing, education, health, welfare, arts and culture, transportation, environment, rural development, and labor. Virtually every aspect of the Great Society was more or less linked to this war , like, for example, education: more specifically, the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. This act promoted education for all by allowing federally funded grants and special education programs to schools with a high concentration of low income children. Two of the paramount aspects of the Great Society are education and culture, to which the Higher Education Facilities Act of December 1963 contributed. Though it was technically signed before the official start of the Great Society, it was one of Johnson s very first steps towards his goal and it created scholarships and low interest loans for students while funding schools so that they could provide better educational facilities, such as libraries and classrooms. The Higher Education Act of 1965 was more or less an extension of the latter act, as its goal was to strengthen the educational resources of American colleges and universities, as well as providing federal funding for post secondary students. Moreover, according to Americans for Democratic Action, the educational program was extended by improving the National Defense Education Act in order to include history and geography, English, and civics, which allowed for a broader range of subjects. • 30. Henry Allison s Two Aspect View Henry Allison s two aspect view differs profoundly from the two world view by introducing epistemic conditions. For Allison, the difference between appearances and things in themselves is epistemic rather than ontological. Rather than reflecting two separate realms, phenomena and noumena reflect the structure of the mind.21 The notable distinction here is that rather than the identification of the appearance with the representation, the appearance is associated with the thing in itself.22 Allison argues that Kant s conditions of human knowledge should be taken as epistemic conditions rather than logical conditions.23 Allison defines an epistemic condition as a simply a condition that is necessary for an object or objective state of affairs.24 These epistemic then turn out to be space, time and the categories; it can be known a priori that every object is structured in terms of these conditions.25 By introducing epistemic conditions, Allison is capable of separating the two aspect view from the two world view. These epistemic conditions must be distinguished from metaphysical, ontological and psychological conditions.26 The psychological conditions are defined as a disposition of the mind which governs belief acquisition.27 The prime example of this would be Hume s customs or habit as features of the mind.28 Epistemic conditions differ from them by reflecting the structure mind but differ in that they are objectivating; psychological conditions reflect how the mind ... • 31. The Scientific Methods And Differences Between Specific... A scientific method is a method of investigation where a problem is first identified and observations, experiments or other relevant data/findings are then used to construct or test hypotheses that serve to solve it (https://www.collinsdictionary.com). Originally the scientific method was actually called the experimental method and the method of science. When the word scientific was come up with in the 19th century, the most widespread term applied to the method became known as the scientific method (scientificmethod.com). One difference between specific science and pseudoscience is how they start. Specific science involves careful observation and experimentation to establish or deny a hypothesis. Evidence against a theory and law are searched for and studies closely on the other hand pseudoscience starts with a hypothesis and looks only for evidence to support it, there is little or no experimentation. Evidence against the hypothesis is hidden, excused or ignored. The original hypothesis is never abandoned (http://physics.weber.edu). An exampleof pseudoscience is ufology. This is the study of records, reports, physical evidence and other circumstances relating the UFO s. An example of specific science is evolution. • 32. The Importance Of Emerging Adulthood Emerging Adulthood is a phase of a human s lifetime between adolescence and full fledged adulthood. The age range for this group is approximately 18 25 years old. Emerging adults are not fully ready to take on adult responsibilities, but are expected to step up from childhood. This allows for new experiences, enrolling into college, understanding one s own sexual identity, and to seek out what future they want for themself. Most emerging adults will move out from their parents home to get their own apartment, dorm, or house and will usually have roommates to help pay for their rent. Jeffery Arnett suggests, that emerging adulthood is a distinct period demographically, subjectively, and in terms of identity explorations (Arnett, 2000, pg. 469). This allows the individual to get independence and self reliability within themselves to get an idea of what it will be like to be living as an adult in the later years to come. After living on their own, many young adults will move back in with their parents after college or if they were not successful living on their own. According to Arnett, during Emerging Adulthood, young people are in the process of developing the capacities, skills, and qualities of character deemed by their cultures as necessary for completing the transition to adulthood (Arnett, 1998, p. 312). The majority of Americans see big life events as reaching and achieving adulthood. It is portrayed that those who have succeeded these events are more independent, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(Hildago, 1994.) This cancerous disease begins in the lymphocytes or white blood cells and can spread throughout the immune system. This type of lymphoma is identified by a specific cancerous cell called a Reed Sternberg cell. When this cell is found other types of lymphomas or cancers can be ruled out. Dr. Reed and Dr. Sternberg discovered the microscopic difference of the Hodgkin s disease cells, which is how the cell received its name. ( What is Hodgkin Disease? 2015.) Statistics show that out of all the diagnosed lymphoma cases in the United States, there are typically more male than female cases. The estimated rate for lymphoma cases in the U.S. for 2015 is about 9,050 according to the research of the American Cancer Society. The impact of the lack of clean water can be seen in countries such as Cambodia, Ethiopia, and India. The trash in villages of Cambodia seeps into the standing water and releases toxins in the ground which enters into the water. The lack of clean water has Cambodian children exposed to diseases. While in Ethiopia, an examination shows that fifty one percent of the populations drinking water in the rural area is unimproved. To better understand more about access to clean water, it s necessary to take a look at India. Twenty one percent of India s diseases are water related and when a water system is installed, it adds to the overall development of water. Access to clean, sustainable water is needed for survival; in countries such as Cambodia, Ethiopia, and India, this is difficult. Cambodia, a country in southeast Asia, is situated on a peninsula on the Gulf of Thailand. It gets most of its water during the rainy season from the monsoons. An examination from the CIA studies of Cambodia reveals that its climate is very tropical with a rainy, monsoon season. This suggests that much of Cambodia s water is from its heavy monsoons. This is vital because this is where most of the water comes from in Cambodia and needs to be kept clean. In Cambodia, the water is very unsanitary due to the lack of infrastructure and its sanitation. An examination of the lack of infrastructure from National Encyclopedia ...
